21:1 И отвечал Иов и сказал:
21:1 But Job answered and said,
21:2 выслушайте внимательно речь мою, и это будет мне утешением от вас.
21:2 Hear diligently my speech, and let this be your consolations.
21:3 Потерпите меня, и я буду говорить; а после того, какпоговорю, насмехайся.
21:3 Suffer me that I may speak; and after that I have spoken, mock on.
21:4 Разве к человеку речь моя? как же мне и не малодушествовать?
21:4 As for me, is my complaint to man? and if it were so, why should not my spirit be troubled?
21:5 Посмотрите на меня и ужаснитесь, и положите перст на уста.
21:5 Mark me, and be astonished, and lay your hand upon your mouth.
21:6 Лишь только я вспомню, – содрогаюсь, и трепет объемлет тело мое.
21:6 Even when I remember I am afraid, and trembling takes hold on my flesh.
21:7 Почему беззаконные живут, достигают старости, да исилами крепки?
21:7 Wherefore do the wicked live, become old, yea, are mighty in power?
21:8 Дети их с ними перед лицем их, и внуки их перед глазами их.
21:8 Their seed is established in their sight with them, and their offspring before their eyes.
21:9 Домы их безопасны от страха, и нет жезла Божия на них.
21:9 Their houses are safe from fear, neither is the rod of God upon them.
21:10 Вол их оплодотворяет и не извергает, корова их зачинает и невыкидывает.
21:10 Their bull genders, and fails not; their cow calves, and casts not her calf.
21:11 Как стадо, выпускают они малюток своих, и дети их прыгают.
21:11 They send forth their little ones like a flock, and their children dance.
21:12 Восклицают под голос тимпана и цитры и веселятся при звуках свирели;
21:12 They take the timbrel and harp, and rejoice at the sound of the organ.
21:13 проводят дни свои в счастьи и мгновенно нисходят в преисподнюю.
21:13 They spend their days in wealth, and in a moment go down to the grave.
21:14 А между тем они говорят Богу: отойди от нас, не хотим мы знать путей Твоих!
21:14 Therefore they say unto God, Depart from us; for we desire not the knowledge of your ways.
21:15 Что Вседержитель, чтобы нам служить Ему? и что пользы прибегать к Нему?
21:15 What is the Almighty, that we should serve him? and what profit should we have, if we pray unto him?
21:16 Видишь, счастье их не от их рук. – Совет нечестивых будь далек от меня!
21:16 Lo, their good is not in their hand: the counsel of the wicked is far from me.
21:17 Часто ли угасает светильник у беззаконных, и находит на них беда, и Он дает им в удел страдания во гневе Своем?
21:17 How often is the candle of the wicked put out! and how often comes their destruction upon them! God distributes sorrows in his anger.
21:18 Они должны быть, как соломинка пред ветром и как плева, уносимая вихрем.
21:18 They are as stubble before the wind, and as chaff that the storm carries away.
21:19 Скажешь : Бог бережет для детей его несчастье его. – Пусть воздаст Он ему самому,чтобы он это знал.
21:19 God lays up his iniquity for his children: he rewards him, and he shall know it.
21:20 Пусть его глаза увидят несчастье его, и пусть он сам пьет от гнева Вседержителева.
21:20 His eyes shall see his destruction, and he shall drink of the wrath of the Almighty.
21:21 Ибо какая ему забота до дома своего после него, когда число месяцев его кончится?
21:21 For what pleasure has he in his house after him, when the number of his months is cut off in the midst?
21:22 Но Бога ли учить мудрости, когда Он судит и горних?
21:22 Shall any teach God knowledge? seeing he judges those that are high.
21:23 Один умирает в самой полноте сил своих, совершенно спокойный и мирный;
21:23 One dies in his full strength, being wholly at ease and quiet.
21:24 внутренности его полны жира, и кости его напоены мозгом.
21:24 His breasts are full of milk, and his bones are moistened with marrow.
21:25 А другой умирает с душею огорченною, не вкусив добра.
21:25 And another dies in the bitterness of his soul, and never eats with pleasure.
21:26 И они вместе будут лежать во прахе, и червь покроет их.
21:26 They shall lie down alike in the dust, and the worms shall cover them.
21:27 Знаю я ваши мысли и ухищрения, какие вы против меня сплетаете.
21:27 Behold, I know your thoughts, and the devices which all of you wrongfully imagine against me.
21:28 Вы скажете: где дом князя, и где шатер, в котором жили беззаконные?
21:28 For all of you say, Where is the house of the prince? and where are the dwelling places of the wicked?
21:29 Разве вы не спрашивали у путешественников и незнакомы с их наблюдениями,
21:29 Have all of you not asked them that go by the way? and do all of you not know their tokens,
21:30 что в день погибели пощажен бывает злодей, в день гнева отводится в сторону?
21:30 That the wicked is reserved to the day of destruction? they shall be brought forth to the day of wrath.
21:31 Кто представит ему пред лице путь его, и кто воздаст ему за то, что он делал?
21:31 Who shall declare his way to his face? and who shall repay him what he has done?
21:32 Его провожают ко гробам и на его могиле ставят стражу.
21:32 Yet shall he be brought to the grave, and shall remain in the tomb.
21:33 Сладки для него глыбы долины, и за ним идет толпа людей, а идущим перед ним нет числа.
21:33 The clods of the valley shall be sweet unto him, and every man shall draw after him, as there are innumerable before him.
21:34 Как же вы хотите утешать меня пустым? В ваших ответах остается одна ложь.
21:34 How then comfort all of you me in vain, seeing in your answers there remains falsehood?
22:1 И отвечал Елифаз Феманитянин и сказал:
22:1 Then Eliphaz the Temanite answered and said,
22:2 разве может человек доставлять пользу Богу? Разумный доставляет пользу себе самому.
22:2 Can a man be profitable unto God, as he that is wise may be profitable unto himself?
22:3 Что за удовольствие Вседержителю, что ты праведен? И будет ли Ему выгода от того, что ты содержишь пути твои в непорочности?
22:3 Is it any pleasure to the Almighty, that you are righteous? or is it gain to him, that you make your ways perfect?
22:4 Неужели Он, боясь тебя, вступит с тобою в состязание, пойдет судиться с тобою?
22:4 Will he reprove you for fear of you? will he enter with you into judgment?
22:5 Верно, злоба твоя велика, и беззакониям твоим нет конца.
22:5 Is not your wickedness great? and yours iniquities infinite?
22:6 Верно, ты брал залоги от братьев твоих ни за что и с полунагих снимал одежду.
22:6 For you have taken a pledge from your brother for nothing, and stripped the naked of their clothing.
22:7 Утомленному жаждою не подавал воды напиться и голодному отказывал в хлебе;
22:7 You have not given water to the weary to drink, and you have withheld bread from the hungry.
22:8 а человеку сильному ты давал землю, и сановитый селился наней.
22:8 But as for the mighty man, he had the earth; and the honourable man dwelt in it.
22:9 Вдов ты отсылал ни с чем и сиротоставлял с пустыми руками.
22:9 You have sent widows away empty, and the arms of the fatherless have been broken.
22:10 За то вокруг тебя петли, и возмутил тебя неожиданный ужас,
22:10 Therefore snares are round about you, and sudden fear troubles you;
22:11 или тьма, в которой ты ничего не видишь, и множество вод покрыло тебя.
22:11 Or darkness, that you can not see; and abundance of waters cover you.
22:12 Не превыше ли небес Бог? посмотри вверх на звезды, как они высоко!
22:12 Is not God in the height of heaven? and behold the height of the stars, how high they are!
22:13 И ты говоришь: что знает Бог? может ли Он судить сквозь мрак?
22:13 And you says, How does God know? can he judge through the dark cloud?
22:14 Облака – завеса Его, так что Он не видит, а ходит только по небесному кругу.
22:14 Thick clouds are a covering to him, that he sees not; and he walks in the circuit of heaven.
22:15 Неужели ты держишься пути древних, по которому шли люди беззаконные,
22:15 Have you marked the old way which wicked men have trodden?
22:16 которые преждевременно были истреблены, когда вода разлилась под основание их?
22:16 Which were cut down out of time, whose foundation was overflowed with a flood:
22:17 Они говорили Богу: отойди от нас! и что сделает им Вседержитель?
22:17 Which said unto God, Depart from us: and what can the Almighty do for them?
22:18 А Он наполнял домы их добром. Но совет нечестивых будь далек отменя!
22:18 Yet he filled their houses with good things: but the counsel of the wicked is far from me.
22:19 Видели праведники и радовались, и непорочный смеялся им:
22:19 The righteous see it, and are glad: and the innocent laugh them to scorn.
22:20 враг наш истреблен, а оставшееся после них пожрал огонь.
22:20 Whereas our substance is not cut down, but the remnant of them the fire consumes.
22:21 Сблизься же с Ним – и будешь спокоен; чрез это придет к тебе добро.
22:21 Acquaint now yourself with him, and be at peace: thereby good shall come unto you.
22:22 Прими из уст Его закон и положи слова Его в сердце твое.
22:22 Receive, I pray you, the law from his mouth, and lay up his words in yours heart.
22:23 Если ты обратишься к Вседержителю, то вновь устроишься, удалишь беззаконие от шатра твоего
22:23 If you return to the Almighty, you shall be built up, you shall put away iniquity far from your tabernacles.
22:24 и будешь вменять в прах блестящий металл, и в камни потоков – золото Офирское.
22:24 Then shall you lay up gold as dust, and the gold of Ophir as the stones of the brooks.
22:25 И будет Вседержитель твоим золотом и блестящим серебром у тебя,
22:25 Yea, the Almighty shall be your defence, and you shall have plenty of silver.
22:26 ибо тогда будешь радоваться о Вседержителе и поднимешь к Богу лице твое.
22:26 For then shall you have your delight in the Almighty, and shall lift up your face unto God.
22:27 Помолишься Ему, и Он услышит тебя, и ты исполнишь обеты твои.
22:27 You shall make your prayer unto him, and he shall hear you, and you shall pay your vows.
22:28 Положишь намерение, и оно состоится у тебя, и над путями твоими будет сиять свет.
22:28 You shall also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto you: and the light shall shine upon your ways.
22:29 Когда кто уничижен будет, ты скажешь: возвышение! иОн спасет поникшего лицем,
22:29 When men are cast down, then you shall say, There is lifting up; and he shall save the humble person.
22:30 избавит и небезвинного, и он спасется чистотою рук твоих.
22:30 He shall deliver the island of the innocent: and it is delivered by the pureness of yours hands.
23:1 И отвечал Иов и сказал:
23:1 Then Job answered and said,
23:2 еще и ныне горька речь моя: страдания мои тяжелее стонов моих.
23:2 Even to day is my complaint bitter: my stroke is heavier than my groaning.
23:3 О, если бы я знал, где найти Его, и мог подойти к престолу Его!
23:3 Oh that I knew where I might find him! that I might come even to his seat!
23:4 Я изложил бы пред Ним дело мое и уста мои наполнил бы оправданиями;
23:4 I would order my cause before him, and fill my mouth with arguments.
23:5 узнал бы слова, какими Он ответит мне, и понял бы, что Он скажет мне.
23:5 I would know the words which he would answer me, and understand what he would say unto me.
23:6 Неужели Он в полном могуществе стал бы состязаться со мною? О, нет! ПустьОн только обратил бы внимание на меня.
23:6 Will he plead against me with his great power? No; but he would put strength in me.
23:7 Тогда праведник мог бы состязаться с Ним, – и я навсегда получил бы свободу от Судии моего.
23:7 There the righteous might dispute with him; so should I be delivered for ever from my judge.
23:8 Но вот, я иду вперед – и нет Его, назад – и не нахожу Его;
23:8 Behold, I go forward, but he is not there; and backward, but I cannot perceive him:
23:9 делает ли Он что на левой стороне, я не вижу; скрывается ли на правой, не усматриваю.
23:9 On the left hand, where he does work, but I cannot behold him: he hides himself on the right hand, that I cannot see him:
23:10 Но Он знает путь мой; пусть испытает меня, – выйду, как золото.
23:10 But he knows the way that I take: when he has tried me, I shall come forth as gold.
23:11 Нога моя твердо держится стези Его; пути Его я хранил и не уклонялся.
23:11 My foot has held his steps, his way have I kept, and not declined.
23:12 От заповеди уст Его не отступал; глаголы уст Его хранил больше,нежели мои правила.
23:12 Neither have I gone back from the commandment of his lips; I have esteemed the words of his mouth more than my necessary food.
23:13 Но Он тверд; и кто отклонит Его? Он делает, чего хочет душа Его.
23:13 But he is in one mind, and who can turn him? and what his soul desires, even that he does.
23:14 Так, Он выполнит положенное мне, и подобного этому много у Него.
23:14 For he performs the thing that is appointed for me: and many such things are with him.
23:15 Поэтому я трепещу пред лицем Его; размышляю – и страшусь Его.
23:15 Therefore am I troubled at his presence: when I consider, I am afraid of him.
23:16 Бог расслабил сердце мое, и Вседержитель устрашил меня.
23:16 For God makes my heart soft, and the Almighty troubles me:
23:17 Зачем я не уничтожен прежде этой тьмы, и Он не сокрыл мрака от лица моего!
23:17 Because I was not cut off before the darkness, neither has he covered the darkness from my face.
24:1 Почему не сокрыты от Вседержителя времена, и знающие Его не видятдней Его?
24:1 Why, seeing times are not hidden from the Almighty, do they that know him not see his days?
24:2 Межи передвигают, угоняют стада и пасут у себя .
24:2 Some remove the landmarks; they violently take away flocks, and feed thereof.
24:3 У сирот уводят осла, у вдовы берут в залог вола;
24:3 They drive away the ass of the fatherless, they take the widow's ox for a pledge.
24:4 бедных сталкивают с дороги, все уничиженные земли принуждены скрываться.
24:4 They turn the needy out of the way: the poor of the earth hide themselves together.
24:5 Вот они, как дикие ослы в пустыне, выходят на дело свое, вставая рано на добычу; степь дает хлеб для них и для детей их;
24:5 Behold, as wild asses in the desert, go they forth to their work; rising early for a prey: the wilderness yields food for them and for their children.
24:6 жнут они на поле не своем и собирают виноград унечестивца;
24:6 They reap every one his corn in the field: and they gather the vintage of the wicked.
24:7 нагие ночуют без покрова и без одеяния на стуже;
24:7 They cause the naked to lodge without clothing, that they have no covering in the cold.
24:8 мокнут от горных дождей и, не имея убежища, жмутся к скале;
24:8 They are wet with the showers of the mountains, and embrace the rock for lack of a shelter.
24:9 отторгают от сосцов сироту и с нищего берут залог;
24:9 They pluck the fatherless from the breast, and take a pledge of the poor.
24:10 заставляют ходить нагими, без одеяния, и голодныхкормят колосьями;
24:10 They cause him to go naked without clothing, and they take away the sheaf from the hungry;
24:11 между стенами выжимают масло оливковое, топчут в точилах и жаждут.
24:11 Which make oil within their walls, and tread their winepresses, and suffer thirst.
24:12 В городе люди стонут, и душа убиваемых вопит, и Бог не воспрещает того.
24:12 Men groan from out of the city, and the soul of the wounded cries out: yet God lays not folly to them.
24:13 Есть из них враги света, не знают путей его и не ходят по стезям его.
24:13 They are of those that rebel against the light; they know not the ways thereof, nor abide in the paths thereof.
24:14 С рассветом встает убийца, умерщвляет бедного и нищего, а ночью бывает вором.
24:14 The murderer rising with the light kills the poor and needy, and in the night is as a thief.
24:15 И око прелюбодея ждет сумерков, говоря: ничей глаз не увидит меня, – и закрывает лице.
24:15 The eye also of the adulterer waits for the twilight, saying, No eye shall see me: and disguises his face.
24:16 В темноте подкапываются под домы, которые днем они заметили для себя; не знают света.
24:16 In the dark they dig through houses, which they had marked for themselves in the daytime: they know not the light.
24:17 Ибо для них утро – смертная тень, так как они знакомы с ужасами смертной тени.
24:17 For the morning is to them even as the shadow of death: if one know them, they are in the terrors of the shadow of death.
24:18 Легок такой на поверхности воды, проклята часть его на земле, и не смотрит он на дорогу садов виноградных.
24:18 He is swift as the waters; their portion is cursed in the earth: he beholds not the way of the vineyards.
24:19 Засуха и жара поглощают снежную воду: так преисподняя – грешников.
24:19 Drought and heat consume the snow waters: so does the grave those which have sinned.
24:20 Пусть забудет его утроба матери ; пусть лакомится им червь; пусть не остается о нем память; как дерево, пусть сломится беззаконник,
24:20 The womb shall forget him; the worm shall feed sweetly on him; he shall be no more remembered; and wickedness shall be broken as a tree.
24:21 который угнетает бездетную, не рождавшую, и вдове не делает добра.
24:21 He evil entreats the barren that bears not: and does not good to the widow.
24:22 Он и сильных увлекает своею силою; он встает и никто не уверен зажизнь свою.
24:22 He draws also the mighty with his power: he rises up, and no man is sure of life.
24:23 А Он дает ему все для безопасности, и он на то опирается, и очи Его видят пути их.
24:23 Though it be given him to be in safety, whereon he rests; yet his eyes are upon their ways.
24:24 Поднялись высоко, – и вот, нет их; падают и умирают, как и все, и, как верхушки колосьев, срезываются.
24:24 They are exalted for a little while, but are gone and brought low; they are taken out of the way as all other, and cut off as the tops of the ears of corn.
24:25 Если это не так, – кто обличит меня во лжи и в ничто обратит речь мою?
24:25 And if it be not so now, who will make me a liar, and make my speech nothing worth?
25:1 И отвечал Вилдад Савхеянин и сказал:
25:1 Then answered Bildad the Shuhite, and said,
25:2 держава и страх у Него; Он творит мир на высотах Своих!
25:2 Dominion and fear are with him, he makes peace in his high places.
25:3 Есть ли счет воинствам Его? и над кем не восходит свет Его?
25:3 Is there any number of his armies? and upon whom does not his light arise?
25:4 И как человеку быть правым пред Богом, и как быть чистым рожденному женщиною?
25:4 How then can man be justified with God? or how can he be clean that is born of a woman?
25:5 Вот даже луна, и та несветла, и звезды нечисты пред очами Его.
25:5 Behold even to the moon, and it shines not; yea, the stars are not pure in his sight.
25:6 Тем менее человек, который есть червь, и сын человеческий, который есть моль.
25:6 How much less man, that is a worm? and the son of man, which is a worm?
26:1 И отвечал Иов и сказал:
26:1 But Job answered and said,
26:2 как ты помог бессильному, поддержал мышцу немощного!
26:2 How have you helped him that is without power? how save you the arm that has no strength?
26:3 Какой совет подал ты немудрому и как во всей полноте объяснил дело!
26:3 How have you counselled him that has no wisdom? and how have you plentifully declared the thing as it is?
26:4 Кому ты говорил эти слова, и чей дух исходил из тебя?
26:4 To whom have you uttered words? and whose spirit came from you?
26:5 Рефаимы трепещут под водами, и живущие в них.
26:5 Dead things are formed from under the waters, and the inhabitants thereof.
26:6 Преисподняя обнажена пред Ним, и нет покрывала Аваддону.
26:6 Hell is naked before him, and destruction has no covering.
26:7 Он распростер север над пустотою, повесил землю ни на чем.
26:7 He stretches out the north over the empty place, and hangs the earth upon nothing.
26:8 Он заключает воды в облаках Своих, и облако не расседается под ними.
26:8 He binds up the waters in his thick clouds; and the cloud is not rent under them.
26:9 Он поставил престол Свой, распростер над ним облако Свое.
26:9 He holds back the face of his throne, and spreads his cloud upon it.
26:10 Черту провел над поверхностью воды, до границ света со тьмою.
26:10 He has compassed the waters with bounds, until the day and night come to an end.
26:11 Столпы небес дрожат и ужасаются от грозы Его.
26:11 The pillars of heaven tremble and are astonished at his reproof.
26:12 Силою Своею волнует море и разумом Своим сражает его дерзость.
26:12 He divides the sea with his power, and by his understanding he strikes through the proud.
26:13 От духа Его – великолепие неба; рука Его образовала быстрогоскорпиона.
26:13 By his spirit he has garnished the heavens; his hand has formed the crooked serpent.
26:14 Вот, это части путей Его; и как мало мы слышали о Нем! А гром могущества Его кто может уразуметь?
26:14 Lo, these are parts of his ways: but how little a portion is heard of him? but the thunder of his power who can understand?
27:1 И продолжал Иов возвышенную речь свою и сказал:
27:1 Moreover Job continued his parable, and said,
27:2 жив Бог, лишивший меня суда, и Вседержитель, огорчивший душу мою,
27:2 As God lives, who has taken away my judgment; and the Almighty, who has vexed my soul;
27:3 что, доколе еще дыхание мое во мне и дух Божий в ноздрях моих,
27:3 All the while my breath is in me, and the spirit of God is in my nostrils;
27:4 не скажут уста мои неправды, и язык мой не произнесет лжи!
27:4 My lips shall not speak wickedness, nor my tongue utter deceit.
27:5 Далек я от того, чтобы признать вас справедливыми; доколе не умру, не уступлю непорочности моей.
27:5 God forbid that I should justify you: till I die I will not remove mine integrity from me.
27:6 Крепко держал я правду мою и не опущу ее; не укорит меня сердце мое во все дни мои.
27:6 My righteousness I hold fast, and will not let it go: my heart shall not reproach me so long as I live.
27:7 Враг мой будет, как нечестивец, и восстающий на меня, как беззаконник.
27:7 Let mine enemy be as the wicked, and he that rises up against me as the unrighteous.
27:8 Ибо какая надежда лицемеру, когда возьмет, когда исторгнет Бог душу его?
27:8 For what is the hope of the hypocrite, though he has gained, when God takes away his soul?
27:9 Услышит ли Бог вопль его, когда придет на него беда?
27:9 Will God hear his cry when trouble comes upon him?
27:10 Будет ли он утешаться Вседержителем и призывать Бога во всякое время?
27:10 Will he delight himself in the Almighty? will he always call upon God?
27:11 Возвещу вам, что в руке Божией; что у Вседержителя, не скрою.
27:11 I will teach you by the hand of God: that which is with the Almighty will I not conceal.
27:12 Вот, все вы и сами видели; и для чего вы столько пустословите?
27:12 Behold, all you yourselves have seen it; why then are all of you thus altogether vain?
27:13 Вот доля человеку беззаконному от Бога, и наследие, какое получают от Вседержителя притеснители.
27:13 This is the portion of a wicked man with God, and the heritage of oppressors, which they shall receive of the Almighty.
27:14 Если умножаются сыновья его, то под меч; и потомки его не насытятся хлебом.
27:14 If his children be multiplied, it is for the sword: and his offspring shall not be satisfied with bread.
27:15 Оставшихся по нем смерть низведет во гроб, и вдовы их не будут плакать.
27:15 Those that remain of him shall be buried in death: and his widows shall not weep.
27:16 Если он наберет кучи серебра, как праха, и наготовит одежд, как брение,
27:16 Though he heap up silver as the dust, and prepare raiment as the clay;
27:17 то он наготовит, а одеваться будет праведник, исеребро получит себе на долю беспорочный.
27:17 He may prepare it, but the just shall put it on, and the innocent shall divide the silver.
27:18 Он строит, как моль, дом свой и, как сторож, делает себе шалаш;
27:18 He builds his house as a moth, and as a booth that the keeper makes.
27:19 ложится спать богачом и таким не встанет; открывает глаза свои, и он уже не тот.
27:19 The rich man shall lie down, but he shall not be gathered: he opens his eyes, and he is not.
27:20 Как воды, постигнут его ужасы; в ночи похитит его буря.
27:20 Terrors take hold on him as waters, a tempest steals him away in the night.
27:21 Поднимет его восточный ветер и понесет, и он быстро побежит от него.
27:21 The east wind carries him away, and he departs: and as a storm hurls him out of his place.
27:22 Устремится на него и не пощадит, как бы он ни силился убежать отруки его.
27:22 For God shall cast upon him, and not spare: he would fain flee out of his hand.
27:23 Всплеснут о нем руками и посвищут над ним с места его!
27:23 Men shall clap their hands at him, and shall hiss him out of his place.
28:1 Так! у серебра есть источная жила, и у золота место, где егоплавят.
28:1 Surely there is a vein for the silver, and a place for gold where they fine it.
28:2 Железо получается из земли; из камня выплавляется медь.
28:2 Iron is taken out of the earth, and brass is molten out of the stone.
28:3 Человек полагает предел тьме и тщательно разыскивает каменьво мраке и тени смертной.
28:3 He sets an end to darkness, and searches out all perfection: the stones of darkness, and the shadow of death.
28:4 Вырывают рудокопный колодезь в местах, забытых ногою, спускаются вглубь, висят и зыблются вдали от людей.
28:4 The flood breaks out from the inhabitant; even the waters forgotten of the foot: they are dried up, they are gone away from men.
28:5 Земля, на которой вырастает хлеб, внутри изрыта как бы огнем.
28:5 As for the earth, out of it comes bread: and under it is turned up as it were fire.
28:6 Камни ее – место сапфира, и в ней песчинки золота.
28:6 The stones of it are the place of sapphires: and it has dust of gold.
28:7 Стези туда не знает хищная птица, и не видал ее глаз коршуна;
28:7 There is a path which no fowl knows, and which the vulture's eye has not seen:
28:8 не попирали ее скимны, и не ходил по ней шакал.
28:8 The lion's whelps have not trodden it, nor the fierce lion passed by it.
28:9 На гранит налагает он руку свою, с корнем опрокидывает горы;
28:9 He puts forth his hand upon the rock; he overturns the mountains by the roots.
28:10 в скалах просекает каналы, и все драгоценное видит глаз его;
28:10 He cuts out rivers among the rocks; and his eye sees every precious thing.
28:11 останавливает течение потоков и сокровенное выносит на свет.
28:11 He binds the floods from overflowing; and the thing that is hid brings he forth to light.
28:12 Но где премудрость обретается? и где место разума?
28:12 But where shall wisdom be found? and where is the place of understanding?
28:13 Не знает человек цены ее, и она не обретается на земле живых.
28:13 Man knows not the price thereof; neither is it found in the land of the living.
28:14 Бездна говорит: не во мне она; и море говорит: не у меня.
28:14 The depth says, It is not in me: and the sea says, It is not with me.
28:15 Не дается она за золото и не приобретается она за вес серебра;
28:15 It cannot be got for gold, neither shall silver be weighed for the price thereof.
28:16 не оценивается она золотом Офирским, ни драгоценным ониксом, ни сапфиром;
28:16 It cannot be valued with the gold of Ophir, with the precious onyx, or the sapphire.
28:17 не равняется с нею золото и кристалл, и не выменяешь ее на сосуды из чистого золота.
28:17 The gold and the crystal cannot equal it: and the exchange of it shall not be for jewels of fine gold.
28:18 А о кораллах и жемчуге и упоминать нечего, и приобретение премудрости выше рубинов.
28:18 No mention shall be made of coral, or of pearls: for the price of wisdom is above rubies.
28:19 Не равняется с нею топаз Ефиопский; чистым золотом не оценивается она.
28:19 The topaz of Ethiopia shall not equal it, neither shall it be valued with pure gold.
28:20 Откуда же исходит премудрость? и где место разума?
28:20 Whence then comes wisdom? and where is the place of understanding?
28:21 Сокрыта она от очей всего живущего и от птиц небесных утаена.
28:21 Seeing it is hid from the eyes of all living, and kept close from the fowls of the air.
28:22 Аваддон и смерть говорят: ушами нашими слышали мы слух о ней.
28:22 Destruction and death say, We have heard the fame thereof with our ears.
28:23 Бог знает путь ее, и Он ведает место ее.
28:23 God understands the way thereof, and he knows the place thereof.
28:24 Ибо Он прозирает до концов земли и видит под всем небом.
28:24 For he looks to the ends of the earth, and sees under the whole heaven;
28:25 Когда Он ветру полагал вес и располагал воду по мере,
28:25 To make the weight for the winds; and he weights the waters by measure.
28:26 когда назначал устав дождю и путь для молнии громоносной,
28:26 When he made a decree for the rain, and a way for the lightning of the thunder:
28:27 тогда Он видел ее и явил ее, приготовил ее и еще испытал ее
28:27 Then did he see it, and declare it; he prepared it, yea, and searched it out.
28:28 и сказал человеку: вот, страх Господень есть истинная премудрость, и удаление от зла – разум.
28:28 And unto man he said, Behold, the fear of the LORD, that is wisdom; and to depart from evil is understanding.
29:1 И продолжал Иов возвышенную речь свою и сказал:
29:1 Moreover Job continued his parable, and said,
29:2 о, если бы я был, как в прежние месяцы, как в те дни, когда Бог хранил меня,
29:2 Oh that I were as in months past, as in the days when God preserved me;
29:3 когда светильник Его светил над головою моею, и я при свете Его ходил среди тьмы;
29:3 When his candle shined upon my head, and when by his light I walked through darkness;
29:4 как был я во дни молодости моей, когда милость Божия была над шатром моим,
29:4 As I was in the days of my youth, when the secret of God was upon my tabernacle;
29:5 когда еще Вседержитель был со мною, и дети мои вокруг меня,
29:5 When the Almighty was yet with me, when my children were about me;
29:6 когда пути мои обливались молоком, и скала источала для меня ручьи елея!
29:6 When I washed my steps with butter, and the rock poured me out rivers of oil;
29:7 когда я выходил к воротам города и на площади ставил седалищесвое, –
29:7 When I went out to the gate through the city, when I prepared my seat in the street!
29:8 юноши, увидев меня, прятались, а старцы вставали и стояли;
29:8 The young men saw me, and hid themselves: and the aged arose, and stood up.
29:9 князья удерживались от речи и персты полагали на уста свои;
29:9 The princes refrained talking, and laid their hand on their mouth.
29:10 голос знатных умолкал, и язык их прилипал к гортани их.
29:10 The nobles held their peace, and their tongue cleaved to the roof of their mouth.
29:11 Ухо, слышавшее меня, ублажало меня; око видевшее восхваляло меня,
29:11 When the ear heard me, then it blessed me; and when the eye saw me, it gave witness to me:
29:12 потому что я спасал страдальца вопиющего и сироту беспомощного.
29:12 Because I delivered the poor that cried, and the fatherless, and him that had none to help him.
29:13 Благословение погибавшего приходило на меня, и сердцу вдовы доставлял я радость.
29:13 The blessing of him that was ready to perish came upon me: and I caused the widow's heart to sing for joy.
29:14 Я облекался в правду, и суд мой одевал меня, как мантия и увясло.
29:14 I put on righteousness, and it clothed me: my judgment was as a robe and a diadem.
29:15 Я был глазами слепому и ногами хромому;
29:15 I was eyes to the blind, and feet was I to the lame.
29:16 отцом был я для нищих и тяжбу, которой я не знал, разбирал внимательно.
29:16 I was a father to the poor: and the cause which I knew not I searched out.
29:17 Сокрушал я беззаконному челюсти и из зубов его исторгал похищенное.
29:17 And I brake the jaws of the wicked, and plucked the spoil out of his teeth.
29:18 И говорил я: в гнезде моем скончаюсь, и дни мои будут многи, как песок;
29:18 Then I said, I shall die in my nest, and I shall multiply my days as the sand.
29:19 корень мой открыт для воды, и роса ночует на ветвях моих;
29:19 My root was spread out by the waters, and the dew lay all night upon my branch.
29:20 слава моя не стареет, лук мой крепок в руке моей.
29:20 My glory was fresh in me, and my bow was renewed in my hand.
29:21 Внимали мне и ожидали, и безмолвствовали при совете моем.
29:21 Unto me men gave ear, and waited, and kept silence at my counsel.
29:22 После слов моих уже не рассуждали; речь моя капала на них.
29:22 After my words they spoke not again; and my speech dropped upon them.
29:23 Ждали меня, как дождя, и, как дождю позднему, открывали уста свои.
29:23 And they waited for me as for the rain; and they opened their mouth wide as for the latter rain.
29:24 Бывало, улыбнусь им – они не верят; и света лица моего они не помрачали.
29:24 If I laughed on them, they believed it not; and the light of my countenance they cast not down.
29:25 Я назначал пути им и сидел во главе и жил как царь в кругу воинов, как утешитель плачущих.
29:25 I chose out their way, and sat chief, and dwelt as a king in the army, as one that comforts the mourners.
30:1 А ныне смеются надо мною младшие меня летами, те, которых отцов я не согласился быпоместить с псами стад моих.
30:1 But now they that are younger than I have me in derision, whose fathers I would have disdained to have set with the dogs of my flock.
30:2 И сила рук их к чему мне? Над ними уже прошло время.
30:2 Yea, whereto might the strength of their hands profit me, in whom old age was perished?
30:3 Бедностью и голодом истощенные, они убегают в степь безводную, мрачную и опустевшую;
30:3 For lack and famine they were solitary; fleeing into the wilderness in former time desolate and waste.
30:4 щиплют зелень подле кустов, и ягоды можжевельника – хлеб их.
30:4 Who cut up mallows by the bushes, and juniper roots for their food.
30:5 Из общества изгоняют их, кричат на них, как на воров,
30:5 They were driven forth from among men, (they cried after them as after a thief;)
30:6 чтобы жили они в рытвинах потоков, в ущельях земли и утесов.
30:6 To dwell in the cliffs of the valleys, in caves of the earth, and in the rocks.
30:7 Ревут между кустами, жмутся под терном.
30:7 Among the bushes they brayed; under the nettles they were gathered together.
30:8 Люди отверженные, люди без имени, отребье земли!
30:8 They were children of fools, yea, children of base men: they were viler than the earth.
30:9 Их-то сделался я ныне песнью и пищею разговора их.
30:9 And now am I their song, yea, I am their byword.
30:10 Они гнушаются мною, удаляются от меня и не удерживаются плевать пред лицем моим.
30:10 They detest me, they flee far from me, and spare not to spit in my face.
30:11 Так как Он развязал повод мой и поразил меня, то они сбросили с себя узду пред лицем моим.
30:11 Because he has loosed my cord, and afflicted me, they have also let loose the bridle before me.
30:12 С правого боку встает это исчадие, сбивает меня с ног, направляет гибельные свои пути ко мне.
30:12 Upon my right hand rise the youth; they push away my feet, and they raise up against me the ways of their destruction.
30:13 А мою стезю испортили: все успели сделать к моейпогибели, не имея помощника.
30:13 They ruin my path, they set forward my calamity, they have no helper.
30:14 Они пришли ко мне, как сквозь широкий пролом; с шумом бросились на меня.
30:14 They came upon me as a wide breaking in of waters: in the desolation they rolled themselves upon me.
30:15 Ужасы устремились на меня; как ветер, развеялось величие мое, и счастье мое унеслось, как облако.
30:15 Terrors are turned upon me: they pursue my soul as the wind: and my welfare passes away as a cloud.
30:16 И ныне изливается душа моя во мне: дни скорби объяли меня.
30:16 And now my soul is poured out upon me; the days of affliction have taken hold upon me.
30:17 Ночью ноют во мне кости мои, и жилы мои не имеютпокоя.
30:17 My bones are pierced in me in the night season: and my sinews take no rest.
30:18 С великим трудом снимается с меня одежда моя; края хитона моего жмут меня.
30:18 By the great force of my disease is my garment changed: it binds me about as the collar of my coat.
30:19 Он бросил меня в грязь, и я стал, как прах и пепел.
30:19 He has cast me into the mire, and I am become like dust and ashes.
30:20 Я взываю к Тебе, и Ты не внимаешь мне, – стою, а Ты только смотришь на меня.
30:20 I cry unto you, and you do not hear me: I stand up, and you regard me not.
30:21 Ты сделался жестоким ко мне, крепкою рукою враждуешь против меня.
30:21 You are become cruel to me: with your strong hand you oppose yourself against me.
30:22 Ты поднял меня и заставил меня носиться по ветру исокрушаешь меня.
30:22 You lift me up to the wind; you cause me to ride upon it, and dissolve my substance.
30:23 Так, я знаю, что Ты приведешь меня к смерти и в дом собрания всех живущих.
30:23 For I know that you will bring me to death, and to the house appointed for all living.
30:24 Верно, Он не прострет руки Своей на дом костей: будут ли они кричатьпри своем разрушении?
30:24 Nevertheless he will not stretch out his hand to the grave, though they cry in his destruction.
30:25 Не плакал ли я о том, кто был в горе? не скорбела ли душа моя о бедных?
30:25 Did not I weep for him that was in trouble? was not my soul grieved for the poor?
30:26 Когда я чаял добра, пришло зло; когда ожидал света, пришла тьма.
30:26 When I looked for good, then evil came unto me: and when I waited for light, there came darkness.
30:27 Мои внутренности кипят и не перестают; встретили меня дни печали.
30:27 My bowels boiled, and rested not: the days of affliction prevented me.
30:28 Я хожу почернелый, но не от солнца; встаю в собрании и кричу.
30:28 I went mourning without the sun: I stood up, and I cried in the congregation.
30:29 Я стал братом шакалам и другом страусам.
30:29 I am a brother to dragons, and a companion to owls.
30:30 Моя кожа почернела на мне, и кости мои обгорели от жара.
30:30 My skin is black upon me, and my bones are burned with heat.
30:31 И цитра моя сделалась унылою, и свирель моя – голосом плачевным.
30:31 My harp also is turned to mourning, and my organ into the voice of them that weep.
31:1 Завет положил я с глазами моими, чтобы не помышлять мне о девице.
31:1 I made a covenant with mine eyes; why then should I think upon a maid?
31:2 Какая же участь мне от Бога свыше? И какое наследие от Вседержителя с небес?
31:2 For what portion of God is there from above? and what inheritance of the Almighty from on high?
31:3 Не для нечестивого ли гибель, и не для делающего ли зло напасть?
31:3 Is not destruction to the wicked? and a strange punishment to the workers of iniquity?
31:4 Не видел ли Он путей моих, и не считал ли всех моих шагов?
31:4 Does not he see my ways, and count all my steps?
31:5 Если я ходил в суете, и если нога моя спешила на лукавство, –
31:5 If I have walked with vanity, or if my foot has hasted to deceit;
31:6 пусть взвесят меня на весах правды, и Бог узнает мою непорочность.
31:6 Let me be weighed in an even balance that God may know mine integrity.
31:7 Если стопы мои уклонялись от пути и сердце мое следовало за глазами моими, и если что-либо нечистое пристало к рукам моим,
31:7 If my step has turned out of the way, and mine heart walked after mine eyes, and if any blot has cleaved to mine hands;
31:8 то пусть я сею, а другой ест, и пусть отрасли мои искоренены будут.
31:8 Then let me sow, and let another eat; yea, let my offspring be rooted out.
31:9 Если сердце мое прельщалось женщиною и я строил ковы у дверей моего ближнего, –
31:9 If mine heart have been deceived by a woman, or if I have laid wait at my neighbour's door;
31:10 пусть моя жена мелет на другого, и пусть другие издеваются над нею,
31:10 Then let my wife grind unto another, and let others bow down upon her.
31:11 потому что это – преступление, это – беззаконие, подлежащее суду;
31:11 For this is an heinous crime; yea, it is an iniquity to be punished by the judges.
31:12 это – огонь, поядающий до истребления, который искоренил бы все добро мое.
31:12 For it is a fire that consumes to destruction, and would root out all mine increase.
31:13 Если я пренебрегал правами слуги и служанки моей, когда они имели спор со мною,
31:13 If I did despise the cause of my manservant or of my maidservant, when they contended with me;
31:14 то что стал бы я делать, когда бы Бог восстал? И когда бы Он взглянул на меня, что могбы я отвечать Ему?
31:14 What then shall I do when God rises up? and when he visits, what shall I answer him?
31:15 Не Он ли, Который создал меня во чреве, создал и его и равно образовал нас в утробе?
31:15 Did not he that made me in the womb make him? and did not one fashion us in the womb?
31:16 Отказывал ли я нуждающимся в их просьбе и томил ли глаза вдовы?
31:16 If I have withheld the poor from their desire, or have caused the eyes of the widow to fail;
31:17 Один ли я съедал кусок мой, и не ел ли от него и сирота?
31:17 Or have eaten my morsel myself alone, and the fatherless has not eaten thereof;
31:18 Ибо с детства он рос со мною, как с отцом, и от чрева матери моей я руководил вдову .
31:18 (For from my youth he was brought up with me, as with a father, and I have guided her from my mother's womb;)
31:19 Если я видел кого погибавшим без одежды и бедного без покрова, –
31:19 If I have seen any perish for lack of clothing, or any poor without covering;
31:20 не благословляли ли меня чресла его, и не был ли он согрет шерстью овец моих?
31:20 If his loins have not blessed me, and if he were not warmed with the fleece of my sheep;
31:21 Если я поднимал руку мою на сироту, когда видел помощь себе у ворот,
31:21 If I have lifted up my hand against the fatherless, when I saw my help in the gate:
31:22 то пусть плечо мое отпадет от спины, и рука моя пусть отломится от локтя,
31:22 Then let mine arm fall from my shoulder blade, and mine arm be broken from the bone.
31:23 ибо страшно для меня наказание от Бога: пред величием Его не устоял бы я.
31:23 For destruction from God was a terror to me, and by reason of his highness I could not endure.
31:24 Полагал ли я в золоте опору мою и говорил ли сокровищу: ты – надежда моя?
31:24 If I have made gold my hope, or have said to the fine gold, You are my confidence;
31:25 Радовался ли я, что богатство мое было велико, и что рука моя приобрела много?
31:25 If I rejoice because my wealth was great, and because mine hand had got much;
31:26 Смотря на солнце, как оно сияет, и на луну, как она величественно шествует,
31:26 If I beheld the sun when it shined, or the moon walking in brightness;
31:27 прельстился ли я в тайне сердца моего, и целовали ли уста мои руку мою?
31:27 And my heart has been secretly enticed, or my mouth has kissed my hand:
31:28 Это также было бы преступление, подлежащее суду, потому что я отрекся бы тогда от Бога Всевышнего.
31:28 This also were an iniquity to be punished by the judge: for I should have denied the God that is above.
31:29 Радовался ли я погибели врага моего и торжествовал ли, когда несчастье постигало его?
31:29 If I rejoice at the destruction of him that hated me, or lifted up myself when evil found him:
31:30 Не позволял я устам моим грешить проклятием души его.
31:30 Neither have I suffered my mouth to sin by wishing a curse to his soul.
31:31 Не говорили ли люди шатра моего: о, если бы мы от мяс его не насытились?
31:31 If the men of my tabernacle said not, Oh that we had of his flesh! we cannot be satisfied.
31:32 Странник не ночевал на улице; двери мои я отворял прохожему.
31:32 The stranger did not lodge in the street: but I opened my doors to the traveller.
31:33 Если бы я скрывал проступки мои, как человек, утаивая в груди моей пороки мои,
31:33 If I covered my transgressions as Adam, by hiding mine iniquity in my bosom:
31:34 то я боялся бы большого общества, и презрение одноплеменников страшило бы меня, и я молчал бы и не выходил бы за двери.
31:34 Did I fear a great multitude, or did the contempt of families terrify me, that I kept silence, and went not out of the door?
31:35 О, если бы кто выслушал меня! Вот мое желание, чтобы Вседержитель отвечал мне, и чтобы защитник мой составил запись.
31:35 Oh that one would hear me! behold, my desire is, that the Almighty would answer me, and that mine adversary had written a book.
31:36 Я носил бы ее на плечах моих и возлагал бы ее, как венец;
31:36 Surely I would take it upon my shoulder, and bind it as a crown to me.
31:37 объявил бы ему число шагов моих, сблизился бы с ним, как с князем.
31:37 I would declare unto him the number of my steps; as a prince would I go near unto him.
31:38 Если вопияла на меня земля моя и жаловались на меня борозды ее;
31:38 If my land cry against me, or that the furrows likewise thereof complain;
31:39 если я ел плоды ее без платы и отягощал жизнь земледельцев,
31:39 If I have eaten the fruits thereof without money, or have caused the owners thereof to lose their life:
31:40 то пусть вместо пшеницы вырастает волчец и вместо ячменя куколь. Слова Иова кончились.
31:40 Let thistles grow instead of wheat, and cockle instead of barley. The words of Job are ended.
32:1 Когда те три мужа перестали отвечать Иову, потому что он был правв глазах своих,
32:1 So these three men ceased to answer Job, because he was righteous in his own eyes.
32:2 тогда воспылал гнев Елиуя, сына Варахиилова, Вузитянина из племениРамова: воспылал гнев его на Иова за то, что он оправдывал себя больше, нежели Бога,
32:2 Then was kindled the wrath of Elihu the son of Barachel the Buzite, of the kindred of Ram: against Job was his wrath kindled, because he justified himself rather than God.
32:3 а на трех друзей его воспылал гнев его за то, что они не нашли, что отвечать, а между тем обвиняли Иова.
32:3 Also against his three friends was his wrath kindled, because they had found no answer, and yet had condemned Job.
32:4 Елиуй ждал, пока Иов говорил, потому что они летами были старше его.
32:4 Now Elihu had waited till Job had spoken, because they were elder than he.
32:5 Когда же Елиуй увидел, что нет ответа в устах тех трех мужей, тогда воспылал гнев его.
32:5 When Elihu saw that there was no answer in the mouth of these three men, then his wrath was kindled.
32:6 И отвечал Елиуй, сын Варахиилов, Вузитянин, и сказал: я молод летами, а вы – старцы; поэтому я робел и боялся объявлять вам мое мнение.
32:6 And Elihu the son of Barachel the Buzite answered and said, I am young, and all of you are very old; wherefore I was afraid, and durst not show you mine opinion.
32:7 Я говорил сам себе: пусть говорят дни, и многолетие поучает мудрости.
32:7 I said, Days should speak, and multitude of years should teach wisdom.
32:8 Но дух в человеке и дыхание Вседержителя дает ему разумение.
32:8 But there is a spirit in man: and the inspiration of the Almighty gives them understanding.
32:9 Не многолетние только мудры, и не старики разумеют правду.
32:9 Great men are not always wise: neither do the aged understand judgment.
32:10 Поэтому я говорю: выслушайте меня, объявлю вам мое мнение и я.
32:10 Therefore I said, Hearken to me; I also will show mine opinion.
32:11 Вот, я ожидал слов ваших, – вслушивался в суждения ваши, доколе вы придумывали, что сказать.
32:11 Behold, I waited for your words; I gave ear to your reasons, whilst all of you searched out what to say.
32:12 Я пристально смотрел на вас, и вот никто из вас не обличает Иова и не отвечает на слова его.
32:12 Yea, I attended unto you, and, behold, there was none of you that convinced Job, or that answered his words:
32:13 Не скажите: мы нашли мудрость: Бог опровергнет его, а не человек.
32:13 Lest all of you should say, We have found out wisdom: God thrusts him down, not man.
32:14 Если бы он обращал слова свои ко мне, то я не вашими речами отвечал бы ему.
32:14 Now he has not directed his words against me: neither will I answer him with your speeches.
32:15 Испугались, не отвечают более; перестали говорить.
32:15 They were amazed, they answered no more: they left off speaking.
32:16 И как я ждал, а они не говорят, остановились и не отвечают более,
32:16 When I had waited, (for they spoke not, but stood still, and answered no more;)
32:17 то и я отвечу с моей стороны, объявлю мое мнение и я,
32:17 I said, I will answer also my part, I also will show mine opinion.
32:18 ибо я полон речами, и дух во мне теснит меня.
32:18 For I am full of matter, the spirit within me constrains me.
32:19 Вот, утроба моя, как вино неоткрытое: она готова прорваться, подобно новым мехам.
32:19 Behold, my belly is as wine which has no vent; it is ready to burst like new bottles.
32:20 Поговорю, и будет легче мне; открою уста мои и отвечу.
32:20 I will speak, that I may be refreshed: I will open my lips and answer.
32:21 На лице человека смотреть не буду и никакому человеку льстить не стану,
32:21 Let me not, I pray you, accept any man's person, neither let me give flattering titles unto man.
32:22 потому что я не умею льстить: сейчас убей меня, Творец мой.
32:22 For I know not to give flattering titles; in so doing my maker would soon take me away.
33:1 Итак слушай, Иов, речи мои и внимай всем словам моим.
33:1 Wherefore, Job, I pray you, hear my speeches, and hearken to all my words.
33:2 Вот, я открываю уста мои, язык мой говорит в гортани моей.
33:2 Behold, now I have opened my mouth, my tongue has spoken in my mouth.
33:3 Слова мои от искренности моего сердца, и уста мои произнесут знание чистое.
33:3 My words shall be of the uprightness of my heart: and my lips shall utter knowledge clearly.
33:4 Дух Божий создал меня, и дыхание Вседержителя дало мне жизнь.
33:4 The spirit of God has made me, and the breath of the Almighty has given me life.
33:5 Если можешь, отвечай мне и стань передо мною.
33:5 If you can answer me, set your words in order before me, stand up.
33:6 Вот я, по желанию твоему, вместо Бога. Я образован также из брения;
33:6 Behold, I am according to your wish in God's position: I also am formed out of the clay.
33:7 поэтому страх передо мною не может смутить тебя, и рука моя не будет тяжела для тебя.
33:7 Behold, my terror shall not make you afraid, neither shall my hand be heavy upon you.
33:8 Ты говорил в уши мои, и я слышал звук слов:
33:8 Surely you have spoken in mine hearing, and I have heard the voice of your words, saying,
33:9 чист я, без порока, невинен я, и нет во мне неправды;
33:9 I am clean without transgression, I am innocent; neither is there iniquity in me.
33:10 а Он нашел обвинение против меня и считает меня Своим противником;
33:10 Behold, he finds occasions against me, he counts me for his enemy,
33:11 поставил ноги мои в колоду, наблюдает за всеми путями моими.
33:11 He puts my feet in the stocks, he marks all my paths.
33:12 Вот в этом ты неправ, отвечаю тебе, потому что Бог выше человека.
33:12 Behold, in this you are not just: I will answer you, that God is greater than man.
33:13 Для чего тебе состязаться с Ним? Он не дает отчета ни в каких делах Своих.
33:13 Why do you strive against him? for he gives not account of any of his matters.
33:14 Бог говорит однажды и, если того не заметят, в другой раз:
33:14 For God speaks once, yea twice, yet man perceives it not.
33:15 во сне, в ночном видении, когда сон находит на людей, во время дремоты на ложе.
33:15 In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falls upon men, in slumberings upon the bed;
33:16 Тогда Он открывает у человека ухо и запечатлевает Свое наставление,
33:16 Then he opens the ears of men, and seals their instruction,
33:17 чтобы отвести человека от какого-либо предприятия и удалить от него гордость,
33:17 That he may withdraw man from his purpose, and hide pride from man.
33:18 чтобы отвести душу его от пропасти и жизнь его от поражения мечом.
33:18 He keeps back his soul from the pit, and his life from perishing by the sword.
33:19 Или он вразумляется болезнью на ложе своем и жестокою болью вовсех костях своих, –
33:19 He is chastened also with pain upon his bed, and the multitude of his bones with strong pain:
33:20 и жизнь его отвращается от хлеба и душа его от любимой пищи.
33:20 So that his life detests bread, and his soul dainty food.
33:21 Плоть на нем пропадает, так что ее не видно, и показываются кости его, которых не было видно.
33:21 His flesh is consumed away, that it cannot be seen; and his bones that were not seen stick out.
33:22 И душа его приближается к могиле и жизнь его – к смерти.
33:22 Yea, his soul draws near unto the grave, and his life to the destroyers.
33:23 Если есть у него Ангел-наставник, один из тысячи, чтобы показатьчеловеку прямой путь его, –
33:23 If there be a messenger with him, an interpreter, one among a thousand, to show unto man his uprightness:
33:24 Бог умилосердится над ним и скажет: освободи его от могилы; Я нашел умилостивление.
33:24 Then he is gracious unto him, and says, Deliver him from going down to the pit: I have found a ransom.
33:25 Тогда тело его сделается свежее, нежели в молодости; он возвратится к дням юности своей.
33:25 His flesh shall be fresher than a child's: he shall return to the days of his youth:
33:26 Будет молиться Богу, и Он – милостив к нему; с радостью взирает налице его и возвращает человеку праведность его.
33:26 He shall pray unto God, and he will be favourable unto him: and he shall see his face with joy: for he will render unto man his righteousness.
33:27 Он будет смотреть на людей и говорить: грешил я и превращал правду, и не воздано мне;
33:27 He looks upon men, and if any say, I have sinned, and perverted that which was right, and it profited me not;
33:28 Он освободил душу мою от могилы, и жизнь моя видит свет.
33:28 He will deliver his soul from going into the pit, and his life shall see the light.
33:29 Вот, все это делает Бог два-три раза с человеком,
33:29 Lo, all these things works God oftentimes with man,
33:30 чтобы отвести душу его от могилы и просветить его светом живых.
33:30 To bring back his soul from the pit, to be enlightened with the light of the living.
33:31 Внимай, Иов, слушай меня, молчи, и я буду говорить.
33:31 Mark well, O Job, hearken unto me: hold your peace, and I will speak.
33:32 Если имеешь, что сказать, отвечай; говори, потому что я желал бытвоего оправдания;
33:32 If you have anything to say, answer me: speak, for I desire to justify you.
33:33 если же нет, то слушай меня: молчи, и я научу тебя мудрости.
33:33 If not, hearken unto me: hold your peace, and I shall teach you wisdom.
34:1 И продолжал Елиуй и сказал:
34:1 Furthermore Elihu answered and said,
34:2 выслушайте, мудрые, речь мою, и приклоните ко мне ухо, рассудительные!
34:2 Hear my words, O all of you wise men; and give ear unto me, all of you that have knowledge.
34:3 Ибо ухо разбирает слова, как гортань различает вкус в пище.
34:3 For the ear tries words, as the mouth tastes food.
34:4 Установим между собою рассуждение и распознаем, что хорошо.
34:4 Let us choose to us judgment: let us know among ourselves what is good.
34:5 Вот, Иов сказал: я прав, но Бог лишил меня суда.
34:5 For Job has said, I am righteous: and God has taken away my judgment.
34:6 Должен ли я лгать на правду мою? Моя рана неисцелима без вины.
34:6 Should I lie against my right? my wound is incurable without transgression.
34:7 Есть ли такой человек, как Иов, который пьет глумление, как воду,
34:7 What man is like Job, who drinks up scorning like water?
34:8 вступает в сообщество с делающими беззаконие и ходит с людьми нечестивыми?
34:8 Which goes in company with the workers of iniquity, and walks with wicked men.
34:9 Потому что он сказал: нет пользы для человека в благоугождении Богу.
34:9 For he has said, It profits a man nothing that he should delight himself with God.
34:10 Итак послушайте меня, мужи мудрые! Не может быть у Бога неправда или у Вседержителя неправосудие,
34:10 Therefore hearken unto me all of you men of understanding: far be it from God, that he should do wickedness; and from the Almighty, that he should commit iniquity.
34:11 ибо Он по делам человека поступает с ним и по путям мужа воздаетему.
34:11 For the work of a man shall he render unto him, and cause every man to find according to his ways.
34:12 Истинно, Бог не делает неправды и Вседержитель неизвращает суда.
34:12 Yea, surely God will not do wickedly, neither will the Almighty pervert judgment.
34:13 Кто кроме Его промышляет о земле? И кто управляет всею вселенною?
34:13 Who has given him a charge over the earth? or who has disposed the whole world?
34:14 Если бы Он обратил сердце Свое к Себе и взял к Себе дух ее и дыхание ее, –
34:14 If he set his heart upon man, if he gather unto himself his spirit and his breath;
34:15 вдруг погибла бы всякая плоть, и человек возвратился бы в прах.
34:15 All flesh shall perish together, and man shall return unto dust.
34:16 Итак, если ты имеешь разум, то слушай это и внимай словам моим.
34:16 If now you have understanding, hear this: hearken to the voice of my words.
34:17 Ненавидящий правду может ли владычествовать? И можешь ли ты обвинить Всеправедного?
34:17 Shall even he that hates right govern? and will you condemn him that is most just?
34:18 Можно ли сказать царю: ты – нечестивец, и князьям: вы – беззаконники?
34:18 Is it fit to say to a king, You are wicked? and to princes, All of you are ungodly?
34:19 Но Он не смотрит и на лица князей и не предпочитает богатого бедному, потому что все они дело рук Его.
34:19 How much less to him that accepts not the persons of princes, nor regards the rich more than the poor? for they all are the work of his hands.
34:20 Внезапно они умирают; среди ночи народ возмутится, и они исчезают; и сильных изгоняют не силою.
34:20 In a moment shall they die, and the people shall be troubled at midnight, and pass away: and the mighty shall be taken away without hand.
34:21 Ибо очи Его над путями человека, и Он видит все шаги его.
34:21 For his eyes are upon the ways of man, and he sees all his activities.
34:22 Нет тьмы, ни тени смертной, где могли бы укрыться делающие беззаконие.
34:22 There is no darkness, nor shadow of death, where the workers of iniquity may hide themselves.
34:23 Потому Он уже не требует от человека, чтобы шел на суд с Богом.
34:23 For he will not lay upon man more than right; that he should enter into judgment with God.
34:24 Он сокрушает сильных без исследования и поставляет других на их места;
34:24 He shall break in pieces mighty men without number, and set others in their position.
34:25 потому что Он делает известными дела их и низлагаетих ночью, и они истребляются.
34:25 Therefore he knows their works, and he overturns them in the night, so that they are destroyed.
34:26 Он поражает их, как беззаконных людей, пред глазами других,
34:26 He strikes them as wicked men in the open sight of others;
34:27 за то, что они отвратились от Него и не уразумели всех путей Его,
34:27 Because they turned back from him, and would not consider any of his ways:
34:28 так что дошел до Него вопль бедных, и Он услышал стенание угнетенных.
34:28 So that they cause the cry of the poor to come unto him, and he hears the cry of the afflicted.
34:29 Дарует ли Он тишину, кто может возмутить? скрывает ли Он лице Свое, кто может увидеть Его? Будет ли это для народа, или для одного человека,
34:29 When he gives quietness, who then can make trouble? and when he hides his face, who then can behold him? whether it be done against a nation, or against a man only:
34:30 чтобы не царствовал лицемер к соблазну народа.
34:30 That the hypocrite reign not, lest the people be ensnared.
34:31 К Богу должно говорить: я потерпел, больше не буду грешить.
34:31 Surely it is meet to be said unto God, I have borne chastisement, I will not offend any more:
34:32 А чего я не знаю, Ты научи меня; и если я сделал беззаконие, больше не буду.
34:32 That which I see not teach you me: if I have done iniquity, I will do no more.
34:33 По твоему ли рассуждению Он должен воздавать? И как ты отвергаешь, то тебе следует избирать, а немне; говори, что знаешь.
34:33 Should it be according to your mind? he will recompense it, whether you refuse, or whether you choose; and not I: therefore speak what you know.
34:34 Люди разумные скажут мне, и муж мудрый, слушающий меня:
34:34 Let men of understanding tell me, and let a wise man hearken unto me.
34:35 Иов не умно говорит, и слова его не со смыслом.
34:35 Job has spoken without knowledge, and his words were without wisdom.
34:36 Я желал бы, чтобы Иов вполне был испытан, по ответам его, свойственным людям нечестивым.
34:36 My desire is that Job may be tried unto the end because of his answers for wicked men.
34:37 Иначе он ко греху своему прибавит отступление, будет рукоплескать между нами и еще больше наговорит против Бога.
34:37 For he adds rebellion unto his sin, he claps his hands among us, and multiplies his words against God.
35:1 И продолжал Елиуй и сказал:
35:1 Elihu spoke moreover, and said,
35:2 считаешь ли ты справедливым, что сказал: я правее Бога?
35:2 Think you this to be right, that you said, My righteousness is more than God's?
35:3 Ты сказал: что пользы мне? и какую прибыль я имел бы пред тем, как если бы я и грешил?
35:3 For you said, What advantage will it be unto you? and, What profit shall I have, if I be cleansed from my sin?
35:4 Я отвечу тебе и твоим друзьям с тобою:
35:4 I will answer you, and your companions with you.
35:5 взгляни на небо и смотри; воззри на облака, они выше тебя.
35:5 Look unto the heavens, and see; and behold the clouds which are higher than you.
35:6 Если ты грешишь, что делаешь ты Ему? и если преступления твои умножаются, что причиняешь ты Ему?
35:6 If you sin, what do you against him? or if your transgressions be multiplied, what do you unto him?
35:7 Если ты праведен, что даешь Ему? или что получает Он от руки твоей?
35:7 If you be righteous, what give you him? or what receives he of yours hand?
35:8 Нечестие твое относится к человеку, как ты, и праведность твоя к сыну человеческому.
35:8 Your wickedness may hurt a man as you are; and your righteousness may profit the son of man.
35:9 От множества притеснителей стонут притесняемые, и от руки сильных вопиют.
35:9 By reason of the multitude of oppressions they make the oppressed to cry: they cry out by reason of the arm of the mighty.
35:10 Но никто не говорит: где Бог, Творец мой, Который дает песни в ночи,
35:10 But none says, Where is God my maker, who gives songs in the night;
35:11 Который научает нас более, нежели скотов земных, и вразумляет нас более, нежели птицнебесных?
35:11 Who teaches us more than the beasts of the earth, and makes us wiser than the fowls of heaven?
35:12 Там они вопиют, и Он не отвечает им, по причине гордости злых людей.
35:12 There they cry, but none gives answer, because of the pride of evil men.
35:13 Но неправда, что Бог не слышит и Вседержитель не взирает на это.
35:13 Surely God will not hear vanity, neither will the Almighty regard it.
35:14 Хотя ты сказал, что ты не видишь Его, но суд пред Ним, и – жди его.
35:14 Although you says you shall not see him, yet judgment is before him; therefore trust you in him.
35:15 Но ныне, потому что гнев Его не посетил его и он не познал его во всей строгости,
35:15 But now, because it is not so, he has visited in his anger; yet he knows it not in great extremity:
35:16 Иов и открыл легкомысленно уста свои и безрассудно расточает слова.
35:16 Therefore does Job open his mouth in vain; he multiplies words without knowledge.
36:1 И продолжал Елиуй и сказал:
36:1 Elihu also proceeded, and said,
36:2 подожди меня немного, и я покажу тебе, что я имею еще что сказать за Бога.
36:2 Suffer me a little, and I will show you that I have yet to speak on God's behalf.
36:3 Начну мои рассуждения издалека и воздам Создателю моему справедливость,
36:3 I will fetch my knowledge from far, and will ascribe righteousness to my Maker.
36:4 потому что слова мои точно не ложь: пред тобою – совершенный в познаниях.
36:4 For truly my words shall not be false: he that is perfect in knowledge is with you.
36:5 Вот, Бог могуществен и не презирает сильного крепостью сердца;
36:5 Behold, God is mighty, and despises not any: he is mighty in strength and wisdom.
36:6 Он не поддерживает нечестивых и воздает должное угнетенным;
36:6 He perserves not the life of the wicked: but gives right to the poor.
36:7 Он не отвращает очей Своих от праведников, но с царями навсегда посаждает их на престоле, и они возвышаются.
36:7 He withdraws not his eyes from the righteous: but with kings are they on the throne; yea, he does establish them for ever, and they are exalted.
36:8 Если же они окованы цепями и содержатся в узах бедствия,
36:8 And if they be bound in fetters, and be held in cords of affliction;
36:9 то Он указывает им на дела их и на беззакония их, потому что умножились,
36:9 Then he shows them their work, and their transgressions that they have exceeded.
36:10 и открывает их ухо для вразумления и говорит им, чтоб они отстали отнечестия.
36:10 He opens also their ear to discipline, and commands that they return from iniquity.
36:11 Если послушают и будут служить Ему, то проведут дни свои в благополучии и лета свои в радости;
36:11 If they obey and serve him, they shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures.
36:12 если же не послушают, то погибнут от стрелы и умрут в неразумии.
36:12 But if they obey not, they shall perish by the sword, and they shall die without knowledge.
36:13 Но лицемеры питают в сердце гнев и не взывают к Нему, когда Он заключает их в узы;
36:13 But the hypocrites in heart heap up wrath: they cry not when he binds them.
36:14 поэтому душа их умирает в молодости и жизнь их с блудниками.
36:14 They die in youth, and their life is among the unclean.
36:15 Он спасает бедного от беды его и в угнетении открывает ухо его.
36:15 He delivers the poor in his affliction, and opens their ears in oppression.
36:16 И тебя вывел бы Он из тесноты на простор, где нет стеснения, и поставляемое на стол твой было бы наполнено туком;
36:16 Even so would he have removed you out of the strait into a broad place, where there is no strictness; and that which should be set on your table should be full of fatness.
36:17 но ты преисполнен суждениями нечестивых: суждение и осуждение – близки.
36:17 But you have fulfilled the judgment of the wicked: judgment and justice take hold on you.
36:18 Да не поразит тебя гнев Божий наказанием! Большой выкуп не спасет тебя.
36:18 Because there is wrath, beware lest he take you away with his stroke: then a great ransom cannot deliver you.
36:19 Даст ли Он какую цену твоему богатству? Нет, – ни золоту и никакомусокровищу.
36:19 Will he esteem your riches? no, not gold, nor all the forces of strength.
36:20 Не желай той ночи, когда народы истребляются на своем месте.
36:20 Desire not the night, when people are cut off in their place.
36:21 Берегись, не склоняйся к нечестию, которое ты предпочел страданию.
36:21 Take heed, regard not iniquity: for this have you chosen rather than affliction.
36:22 Бог высок могуществом Своим, и кто такой, как Он, наставник?
36:22 Behold, God exalts by his power: who teaches like him?
36:23 Кто укажет Ему путь Его; кто может сказать: Ты поступаешь несправедливо?
36:23 Who has commanded with authority him his way? or who can say, You have wrought iniquity?
36:24 Помни о том, чтобы превозносить дела его, которые люди видят.
36:24 Remember that you magnify his work, which men behold.
36:25 Все люди могут видеть их; человек может усматривать их издали.
36:25 Every man may see it; man may behold it far off.
36:26 Вот, Бог велик, и мы не можем познать Его; число лет Его неисследимо.
36:26 Behold, God is great, and we know him not, neither can the number of his years be searched out.
36:27 Он собирает капли воды; они во множестве изливаются дождем:
36:27 For he makes small the drops of water: they pour down rain according to the vapour thereof:
36:28 из облаков каплют и изливаются обильно на людей.
36:28 Which the clouds do drop and distil upon man abundantly.
36:29 Кто может также постигнуть протяжение облаков, треск шатра Его?
36:29 Also can any understand the spreadings of the clouds, or the noise of his tabernacle?
36:30 Вот, Он распространяет над ним свет Свой и покрывает дно моря.
36:30 Behold, he spreads his light upon it, and covers the bottom of the sea.
36:31 Оттуда Он судит народы, дает пищу в изобилии.
36:31 For by them judges he the people; he gives food in abundance.
36:32 Он сокрывает в дланях Своих молнию и повелевает ей, кого разить.
36:32 With clouds he covers the light; and commands it not to shine by the cloud that comes between.
36:33 Треск ее дает знать о ней; скот также чувствует происходящее.
36:33 The noise thereof shows concerning it, the cattle also concerning the vapour.
37:1 И от сего трепещет сердце мое и подвиглось с места своего.
37:1 At this also my heart trembles, and is moved out of his place.
37:2 Слушайте, слушайте голос Его и гром, исходящийиз уст Его.
37:2 Hear attentively the noise of his voice, and the sound that goes out of his mouth.
37:3 Под всем небом раскат его, и блистание его – до краев земли.
37:3 He directs it under the whole heaven, and his lightning unto the ends of the earth.
37:4 За ним гремит глас; гремит Он гласом величества Своего и неостанавливает его, когда голос Его услышан.
37:4 After it a voice roars: he thunders with the voice of his excellency; and he will not stay them when his voice is heard.
37:5 Дивно гремит Бог гласом Своим, делает дела великие, для нас непостижимые.
37:5 God thunders marvellously with his voice; great things does he, which we cannot comprehend.
37:6 Ибо снегу Он говорит: будь на земле; равно мелкий дождь и большой дождь в Его власти.
37:6 For he says to the snow, Be you on the earth; likewise to the small rain, and to the great rain of his strength.
37:7 Он полагает печать на руку каждого человека, чтобы все люди знали дело Его.
37:7 He seals up the hand of every man; that all men may know his work.
37:8 Тогда зверь уходит в убежище и остается в своих логовищах.
37:8 Then the beasts go into dens, and remain in their places.
37:9 От юга приходит буря, от севера – стужа.
37:9 Out of the south comes the whirlwind: and cold out of the north.
37:10 От дуновения Божия происходит лед, и поверхность воды сжимается.
37:10 By the breath of God frost is given: and the breadth of the waters is straitened.
37:11 Также влагою Он наполняет тучи, и облака сыплют свет Его,
37:11 Also by watering he wearies the thick cloud: he scatters his bright cloud:
37:12 и они направляются по намерениям Его, чтоб исполнить то, что Он повелит им на лице обитаемой земли.
37:12 And it is turned round about by his counsels: that they may do whatsoever he commands them upon the face of the world in the earth.
37:13 Он повелевает им идти или для наказания, или в благоволение, или дляпомилования.
37:13 He causes it to come, whether for correction, or for his land, or for mercy.
37:14 Внимай сему, Иов; стой и разумевай чудные дела Божии.
37:14 Hearken unto this, O Job: stand still, and consider the wondrous works of God.
37:15 Знаешь ли, как Бог располагает ими и повелевает свету блистать из облака Своего?
37:15 Do you know when God disposed them, and caused the light of his cloud to shine?
37:16 Разумеешь ли равновесие облаков, чудное дело Совершеннейшего в знании?
37:16 Do you know the balancings of the clouds, the wondrous works of him which is perfect in knowledge?
37:17 Как нагревается твоя одежда, когда Он успокаивает землю от юга?
37:17 How your garments are warm, when he stills the earth by the south wind?
37:18 Ты ли с Ним распростер небеса, твердые, как литое зеркало?
37:18 Have you with him spread out the sky, which is strong, and as a molten looking glass?
37:19 Научи нас, что сказать Ему? Мы в этой тьме ничего не можем сообразить.
37:19 Teach us what we shall say unto him; for we cannot order our speech by reason of darkness.
37:20 Будет ли возвещено Ему, что я говорю? Сказал ли кто, что сказанное доносится Ему?
37:20 Shall it be told him that I speak? if a man speak, surely he shall be swallowed up.
37:21 Теперь не видно яркого света в облаках, но пронесется ветер ирасчистит их.
37:21 And now men see not the bright light which is in the clouds: but the wind passes, and cleanses them.
37:22 Светлая погода приходит от севера, и окрест Бога страшное великолепие.
37:22 Fair weather comes out of the north: with God is terrible majesty.
37:23 Вседержитель! мы не постигаем Его. Он велик силою, судом и полнотою правосудия. Он никого не угнетает.
37:23 Concerning the Almighty, we cannot find him out: he is excellent in power, and in judgment, and in plenty of justice: he will not afflict.
37:24 Посему да благоговеют пред Ним люди, и да трепещут пред Ним все мудрые сердцем!
37:24 Men do therefore fear him: he respects not any that are wise of heart.
38:1 Господь отвечал Иову из бури и сказал:
38:1 Then the LORD answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said,
38:2 кто сей, омрачающий Провидение словами без смысла?
38:2 Who is this that darkens counsel by words without knowledge?
38:3 Препояшь ныне чресла твои, как муж: Я буду спрашивать тебя, и ты объясняй Мне:
38:3 Gird up now your loins like a man; for I will demand of you, and answer you me.
38:4 где был ты, когда Я полагал основания земли? Скажи, если знаешь.
38:4 Where were you when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if you have understanding.
38:5 Кто положил меру ей, если знаешь? или кто протягивал по ней вервь?
38:5 Who has laid the measures thereof, if you know? or who has stretched the line upon it?
38:6 На чем утверждены основания ее, или кто положил краеугольный камень ее,
38:6 Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? or who laid the corner stone thereof;
38:7 при общем ликовании утренних звезд, когда все сыны Божии восклицали от радости?
38:7 When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?
38:8 Кто затворил море воротами, когда оно исторглось, вышло как бы изчрева,
38:8 Or who shut up the sea with doors, when it brake forth, as if it had issued out of the womb?
38:9 когда Я облака сделал одеждою его и мглу пеленами его,
38:9 When I made the cloud the garment thereof, and thick darkness a swaddling band for it,
38:10 и утвердил ему Мое определение, и поставил запоры и ворота,
38:10 And brake up for it my decreed place, and set bars and doors,
38:11 и сказал: доселе дойдешь и не перейдешь, и здесь предел надменным волнам твоим?
38:11 And said, Until now shall you come, but no further: and here shall your proud waves be stayed?
38:12 Давал ли ты когда в жизни своей приказания утру и указывал ли заре место ее,
38:12 Have you commanded the morning since your days; and caused the dayspring to know his place;
38:13 чтобы она охватила края земли и стряхнула с нее нечестивых,
38:13 That it might take hold of the ends of the earth, that the wicked might be shaken out of it?
38:14 чтобы земля изменилась, как глина под печатью, и стала, как разноцветная одежда,
38:14 It is turned as clay to the seal; and they stand as a garment.
38:15 и чтобы отнялся у нечестивых свет их и дерзкая рука их сокрушилась?
38:15 And from the wicked their light is withheld, and the high arm shall be broken.
38:16 Нисходил ли ты во глубину моря и входил ли в исследование бездны?
38:16 Have you entered into the springs of the sea? or have you walked in the search of the depth?
38:17 Отворялись ли для тебя врата смерти, и видел ли ты врата тени смертной?
38:17 Have the gates of death been opened unto you? or have you seen the doors of the shadow of death?
38:18 Обозрел ли ты широту земли? Объясни, если знаешь все это.
38:18 Have you perceived the breadth of the earth? declare if you know it all.
38:19 Где путь к жилищу света, и где место тьмы?
38:19 Where is the way where light dwells? and as for darkness, where is the place thereof,
38:20 Ты, конечно, доходил до границ ее и знаешь стези к дому ее.
38:20 That you should take it to the bound thereof, and that you should know the paths to the house thereof?
38:21 Ты знаешь это, потому что ты был уже тогда рожден, и число дней твоих очень велико.
38:21 Know you it, because you were then born? or because the number of your days is great?
38:22 Входил ли ты в хранилища снега и видел ли сокровищницы града,
38:22 Have you entered into the treasures of the snow? or have you seen the treasures of the hail,
38:23 которые берегу Я на время смутное, на день битвы и войны?
38:23 Which I have reserved against the time of trouble, against the day of battle and war?
38:24 По какому пути разливается свет и разносится восточный ветер по земле?
38:24 By what way is the light parted, which scatters the east wind upon the earth?
38:25 Кто проводит протоки для излияния воды и путь для громоносной молнии,
38:25 Who has divided a watercourse for the overflowing of waters, or a way for the lightning of thunder;
38:26 чтобы шел дождь на землю безлюдную, на пустыню, где нет человека,
38:26 To cause it to rain on the earth, where no man is; on the wilderness, wherein there is no man;
38:27 чтобы насыщать пустыню и степь и возбуждать травные зародыши к возрастанию?
38:27 To satisfy the desolate and waste ground; and to cause the bud of the tender herb to spring forth?
38:28 Есть ли у дождя отец? или кто рождает капли росы?
38:28 Has the rain a father? or who has begotten the drops of dew?
38:29 Из чьего чрева выходит лед, и иней небесный, – кто рождает его?
38:29 Out of whose womb came the ice? and the hoary frost of heaven, who has gendered it?
38:30 Воды, как камень, крепнут, и поверхность бездны замерзает.
38:30 The waters are hid as with a stone, and the face of the deep is frozen.
38:31 Можешь ли ты связать узел Хима и разрешить узы Кесиль?
38:31 Can you bind the sweet influences of Pleiades, or loose the bands of Orion?
38:32 Можешь ли выводить созвездия в свое время и вести Ас с ее детьми?
38:32 Can you bring forth Mazzaroth in his season? or can you guide Arcturus with his sons?
38:33 Знаешь ли ты уставы неба, можешь ли установить господство его на земле?
38:33 Know you the ordinances of heaven? can you set the dominion thereof in the earth?
38:34 Можешь ли возвысить голос твой к облакам, чтобы вода в обилии покрыла тебя?
38:34 Can you lift up your voice to the clouds, that abundance of waters may cover you?
38:35 Можешь ли посылать молнии, и пойдут ли они и скажут ли тебе: вот мы?
38:35 Can you send lightnings, that they may go and say unto you, Here we are?
38:36 Кто вложил мудрость в сердце, или кто дал смысл разуму?
38:36 Who has put wisdom in the inward parts? or who has given understanding to the heart?
38:37 Кто может расчислить облака своею мудростью и удержать сосуды неба,
38:37 Who can number the clouds in wisdom? or who can stay the bottles of heaven,
38:38 когда пыль обращается в грязь и глыбы слипаются?
38:38 When the dust grows into hardness, and the clods cleave fast together?
38:39 Ты ли ловишь добычу львице и насыщаешь молодыхльвов,
38:39 Will you hunt the prey for the lion? or fill the appetite of the young lions,
38:40 когда они лежат в берлогах или покоятся под тенью в засаде?
38:40 When they couch in their dens, and abide in the covert to lie in wait?
38:41 Кто приготовляет ворону корм его, когда птенцы его кричат к Богу,бродя без пищи?
38:41 Who provides for the raven his food? when his young ones cry unto God, they wander for lack of food.
39:1 Знаешь ли ты время, когда рождаются дикие козы наскалах, и замечал ли роды ланей?
39:1 Know you the time when the wild goats of the rock bring forth? or can you mark when the hinds do calve?
39:2 можешь ли расчислить месяцы беременности их? и знаешь ли время родов их?
39:2 Can you number the months that they fulfill? or know you the time when they bring forth?
39:3 Они изгибаются, рождая детей своих, выбрасывая свои ноши;
39:3 They bow themselves, they bring forth their young ones, they cast out their sorrows.
39:4 дети их приходят в силу, растут на поле, уходят и не возвращаются к ним.
39:4 Their young ones are in good looking, they grow up with corn; they go forth, and return not unto them.
39:5 Кто пустил дикого осла на свободу, и кто разрешилузы онагру,
39:5 Who has sent out the wild ass free? or who has loosed the bands of the wild ass?
39:6 которому степь Я назначил домом и солончаки - жилищем?
39:6 Whose house I have made the wilderness, and the barren land his dwellings.
39:7 Он посмевается городскому многолюдству и не слышит криков погонщика,
39:7 He scorns the multitude of the city, neither regards he the crying of the driver.
39:8 по горам ищет себе пищи и гоняется за всякою зеленью.
39:8 The range of the mountains is his pasture, and he searches after every green thing.
39:9 Захочет ли единорог служить тебе и переночует ли у яслей твоих?
39:9 Will the unicorn (p. ox) be willing to serve you, or abide by your crib?
39:10 Можешь ли веревкою привязать единорога к борозде, и станет ли онборонить за тобою поле?
39:10 Can you bind the unicorn (p. ox) with his band in the furrow? or will he harrow the valleys after you?
39:11 Понадеешься ли на него, потому что у него сила велика, и предоставишь ли ему работутвою?
39:11 Will you trust him, because his strength is great? or will you leave your labour to him?
39:12 Поверишь ли ему, что он семена твои возвратит и сложит на гумно твое?
39:12 Will you believe him, that he will bring home your seed, and gather it into your barn?
39:13 Ты ли дал красивые крылья павлину и перья и пух страусу?
39:13 Gave you the goodly wings unto the peacocks? or wings and feathers unto the ostrich?
39:14 Он оставляет яйца свои на земле, и на песке согревает их,
39:14 Which left her eggs in the earth, and warms them in dust,
39:15 и забывает, что нога может раздавить их и полевой зверь может растоптать их;
39:15 And forgets that the foot may crush them, or that the wild beast may break them.
39:16 он жесток к детям своим, как бы не своим, и не опасается, что труд его будет напрасен;
39:16 She is hardened against her young ones, as though they were not her's: her labour is in vain without fear;
39:17 потому что Бог не дал ему мудрости и не уделил ему смысла;
39:17 Because God has deprived her of wisdom, neither has he imparted to her understanding.
39:18 а когда поднимется на высоту, посмевается коню и всаднику его.
39:18 What time she lifts up herself on high, she scorns the horse and his rider.
39:19 Ты ли дал коню силу и облек шею его гривою?
39:19 Have you given the horse strength? have you clothed his neck with thunder?
39:20 Можешь ли ты испугать его, как саранчу? Храпение ноздрей его – ужас;
39:20 Can you make him afraid as a grasshopper? the glory of his nostrils is terrible.
39:21 роет ногою землю и восхищается силою; идет навстречу оружию;
39:21 He paws in the valley, and rejoices in his strength: he goes on to meet the armed men.
39:22 он смеется над опасностью и не робеет и не отворачивается от меча;
39:22 He mocks at fear, and is not affrighted; neither turns he back from the sword.
39:23 колчан звучит над ним, сверкает копье и дротик;
39:23 The quiver rattles against him, the glittering spear and the shield.
39:24 в порыве и ярости он глотает землю и не может стоять при звуке трубы;
39:24 He swallows the ground with fierceness and rage: neither believes he that it is the sound of the trumpet.
39:25 при трубном звуке он издает голос: гу! гу! и издалека чует битву, громкие голоса вождей и крик.
39:25 He says among the trumpets, Ha, ha; and he smells the battle far off, the thunder of the captains, and the shouting.
39:26 Твоею ли мудростью летает ястреб и направляет крылья свои на полдень?
39:26 Does the hawk fly by your wisdom, and stretch her wings toward the south?
39:27 По твоему ли слову возносится орел и устрояет на высоте гнездо свое?
39:27 Does the eagle mount up at your command, and make her nest on high?
39:28 Он живет на скале и ночует на зубце утесов и на местах неприступных;
39:28 She dwells and abides on the rock, upon the crag of the rock, and the strong place.
39:29 оттуда высматривает себе пищу: глаза его смотрят далеко;
39:29 From thence she seeks the prey, and her eyes behold far off.
39:30 птенцы его пьют кровь, и где труп, там и он.
39:30 Her young ones also suck up blood: and where the slain are, there is she.
40:1 (39:31) И продолжал Господь и сказал Иову:
40:1 Moreover the LORD answered Job, and said,
40:2 (39:32) будет ли состязающийся со Вседержителем еще учить? Обличающий Бога пусть отвечает Ему.
40:2 Shall he that contends with the Almighty instruct him? he that reproves God, let him answer it.
40:3 (39:33) И отвечал Иов Господу и сказал:
40:3 Then Job answered the LORD, and said,
40:4 (39:34) вот, я ничтожен; что буду я отвечать Тебе? Руку мою полагаю науста мои.
40:4 Behold, I am vile; what shall I answer you? I will lay mine hand upon my mouth.
40:5 (39:35) Однажды я говорил, – теперь отвечать не буду, даже дважды, но более не буду.
40:5 Once have I spoken; but I will not answer: yea, twice; but I will proceed no further.
40:6 (40:1) И отвечал Господь Иову из бури и сказал:
40:6 Then answered the LORD unto Job out of the whirlwind, and said,
40:7 (40:2) препояшь, как муж, чресла твои: Я буду спрашивать тебя, а ты объясняй Мне.
40:7 Gird up your loins now like a man: I will demand of you, and declare you unto me.
40:8 (40:3) Ты хочешь ниспровергнуть суд Мой, обвинить Меня, чтобы оправдатьсебя?
40:8 Will you also nullify my judgment? will you condemn me, that you may be righteous?
40:9 (40:4) Такая ли у тебя мышца, как у Бога? И можешь ли возгреметь голосом, как Он?
40:9 Have you an arm like God? or can you thunder with a voice like him?
40:10 (40:5) Укрась же себя величием и славою, облекись в блеск и великолепие;
40:10 Deck yourself now with majesty and excellency; and array yourself with glory and beauty.
40:11 (40:6) излей ярость гнева твоего, посмотри на все гордое и смири его;
40:11 Cast abroad the rage of your wrath: and behold every one that is proud, and bring low him.
40:12 (40:7) взгляни на всех высокомерных и унизь их, и сокруши нечестивых на местах их;
40:12 Look on every one that is proud, and bring him low; and tread down the wicked in their place.
40:13 (40:8) зарой всех их в землю и лица их покрой тьмою.
40:13 Hide them in the dust together; and bind their faces in secret.
40:14 (40:9) Тогда и Я признаю, что десница твоя может спасать тебя.
40:14 Then will I also confess unto you that yours own right hand can save you.
40:15 (40:10) Вот бегемот, которого Я создал, как и тебя; он ест траву, как вол;
40:15 Behold now behemoth, which I made with you; he eats grass as an ox.
40:16 (40:11) вот, его сила в чреслах его и крепость его в мускулах чрева его;
40:16 Lo now, his strength is in his loins, and his force is in the navel of his belly.
40:17 (40:12) поворачивает хвостом своим, как кедром; жилы же на бедрах его переплетены;
40:17 He moves his tail like a cedar: the sinews of his stones are wrapped together.
40:18 (40:13) ноги у него, как медные трубы; кости у него, как железные прутья;
40:18 His bones are as strong pieces of brass; his bones are like bars of iron.
40:19 (40:14) это – верх путей Божиих; только Сотворивший его может приблизить к нему меч Свой;
40:19 He is the chief of the ways of God: he that made him can make his sword to approach unto him.
40:20 (40:15) горы приносят ему пищу, и там все звери полевые играют;
40:20 Surely the mountains bring him forth food, where all the beasts of the field play.
40:21 (40:16) он ложится под тенистыми деревьями, под кровом тростника и в болотах;
40:21 He lies under the shady trees, in the covert of the reed, and fens.
40:22 (40:17) тенистые дерева покрывают его своею тенью; ивыпри ручьях окружают его;
40:22 The shady trees cover him with their shadow; the willows of the brook compass him about.
40:23 (40:18) вот, он пьет из реки и не торопится; остаетсяспокоен, хотя бы Иордан устремился ко рту его.
40:23 Behold, he drinks up a river, and hastes not: he trusts that he can draw up Jordan into his mouth.
40:24 (40:19) Возьмет ли кто его в глазах его и проколет ли ему нос багром?
40:24 He takes it with his eyes: his nose pierces through snares.
41:1 (40:20) Можешь ли ты удою вытащить левиафана и веревкою схватить заязык его?
41:1 Can you draw out leviathan (p. sea serpent) with an hook? or his tongue with a cord which you let down?
41:2 (40:21) вденешь ли кольцо в ноздри его? проколешь ли иглою челюсть его?
41:2 Can you put an hook into his nose? or bore his jaw through with a thorn?
41:3 (40:22) будет ли он много умолять тебя и будет ли говорить с тобою кротко?
41:3 Will he make many supplications unto you? will he speak soft words unto you?
41:4 (40:23) сделает ли он договор с тобою, и возьмешь ли его навсегда себе в рабы?
41:4 Will he make a covenant with you? will you take him for a servant for ever?
41:5 (40:24) станешь ли забавляться им, как птичкою, и свяжешь ли его для девочек твоих?
41:5 Will you play with him as with a bird? or will you bind him for your maidens?
41:6 (40:25) будут ли продавать его товарищи ловли, разделят ли его между Хананейскими купцами?
41:6 Shall the companions make a banquet of him? shall they part him among the merchants?
41:7 (40:26) можешь ли пронзить кожу его копьем и голову его рыбачьею острогою?
41:7 Can you fill his skin with barbed irons? or his head with fish spears?
41:8 (40:27) Клади на него руку твою, и помни о борьбе: вперед не будешь.
41:8 Lay yours hand upon him, remember the battle, do no more.
41:9 (41:1) Надежда тщетна: не упадешь ли от одного взгляда его?
41:9 Behold, the hope of him is in vain: shall not one be cast down even at the sight of him?
41:10 (41:2) Нет столь отважного, который осмелился бы потревожить его; кто же может устоять перед Моим лицем?
41:10 None is so fierce that dare stir him up: who then is able to stand before me?
41:11 (41:3) Кто предварил Меня, чтобы Мне воздавать ему? под всем небом все Мое.
41:11 Who has prevented me, that I should repay him? whatsoever is under the whole heaven is mine.
41:12 (41:4) Не умолчу о членах его, о силе и красивой соразмерности их.
41:12 I will not conceal his parts, nor his power, nor his comely proportion.
41:13 (41:5) Кто может открыть верх одежды его, кто подойдет к двойным челюстям его?
41:13 Who can discover the face of his garment? or who can come to him with his double bridle?
41:14 (41:6) Кто может отворить двери лица его? круг зубов его – ужас;
41:14 Who can open the doors of his face? his teeth are terrible round about.
41:15 (41:7) крепкие щиты его – великолепие; они скреплены как бы твердою печатью;
41:15 His scales are his pride, shut up together as with a close seal.
41:16 (41:8) один к другому прикасается близко, так что и воздух не проходит между ними;
41:16 One is so near to another, that no air can come between them.
41:17 (41:9) один с другим лежат плотно, сцепились и не раздвигаются.
41:17 They are joined one to another, they stick together, that they cannot be sundered.
41:18 (41:10) От его чихания показывается свет; глаза у него как ресницы зари;
41:18 By his exhaling a light does shine, and his eyes are like the eyelids of the morning.
41:19 (41:11) из пасти его выходят пламенники, выскакивают огненные искры;
41:19 Out of his mouth go burning lamps, and sparks of fire leap out.
41:20 (41:12) из ноздрей его выходит дым, как из кипящего горшка или котла.
41:20 Out of his nostrils goes smoke, as out of a seething pot or caldron.
41:21 (41:13) Дыхание его раскаляет угли, и из пасти его выходит пламя.
41:21 His breath kindles coals, and a flame goes out of his mouth.
41:22 (41:14) На шее его обитает сила, и перед ним бежит ужас.
41:22 In his neck remains strength, and sorrow is turned into joy before him.
41:23 (41:15) Мясистые части тела его сплочены между собою твердо, не дрогнут.
41:23 The flakes of his flesh are joined together: they are firm in themselves; they cannot be moved.
41:24 (41:16) Сердце его твердо, как камень, и жестко, как нижний жернов.
41:24 His heart is as firm as a stone; yea, as hard as a piece of the nether millstone.
41:25 (41:17) Когда он поднимается, силачи в страхе, совсем теряются от ужаса.
41:25 When he raises up himself, the mighty are afraid: by reason of breakings they purify themselves.
41:26 (41:18) Меч, коснувшийся его, не устоит, ни копье, ни дротик, ни латы.
41:26 The sword of him that lays at him cannot hold: the spear, the dart, nor the armour of jacket.
41:27 (41:19) Железо он считает за солому, медь – за гнилое дерево.
41:27 He esteems iron as straw, and brass as rotten wood.
41:28 (41:20) Дочь лука не обратит его в бегство; пращные камни обращаются для него в плеву.
41:28 The arrow cannot make him flee: sling stones are turned with him into stubble.
41:29 (41:21) Булава считается у него за соломину; свисту дротика он смеется.
41:29 Darts are counted as stubble: he laughs at the shaking of a spear.
41:30 (41:22) Под ним острые камни, и он на острых камнях лежит в грязи.
41:30 Sharp stones are under him: he spreads sharp pointed things upon the mire.
41:31 (41:23) Он кипятит пучину, как котел, и море претворяет в кипящую мазь;
41:31 He makes the deep to boil like a pot: he makes the sea like a pot of ointment.
41:32 (41:24) оставляет за собою светящуюся стезю; бездна кажется сединою.
41:32 He makes a path to shine after him; one would think the deep to be hoary.
41:33 (41:25) Нет на земле подобного ему; он сотворен бесстрашным;
41:33 Upon earth there is not his like, who is made without fear.
41:34 (41:26) на все высокое смотрит смело; он царь над всеми сынами гордости.
41:34 He beholds all high things: he is a king over all the children of pride.
42:1 И отвечал Иов Господу и сказал:
42:1 Then Job answered the LORD, and said,
42:2 знаю, что Ты все можешь, и что намерение Твое не может быть остановлено.
42:2 I know that you can do every thing, and that no thought can be withheld from you.
42:3 Кто сей, омрачающий Провидение, ничего не разумея? – Так, я говорил о том, чего не разумел, о делах чудных для меня, которых я не знал.
42:3 Who is he that hides counsel without knowledge? therefore have I uttered that I understood not; things too wonderful for me, which I knew not.
42:4 Выслушай, взывал я, и я буду говорить, и что буду спрашивать у Тебя, объясни мне.
42:4 Hear, I plead to you, and I will speak: I will demand of you, and declare you unto me.
42:5 Я слышал о Тебе слухом уха; теперь же мои глаза видят Тебя;
42:5 I have heard of you by the hearing of the ear: but now mine eye sees you.
42:6 поэтому я отрекаюсь и раскаиваюсь в прахе и пепле.
42:6 Wherefore I detest myself, and repent in dust and ashes.
42:7 И было после того, как Господь сказал слова те Иову, сказал Господь Елифазу Феманитянину: горит гнев Мой на тебя и на двух друзей твоих за то, что вы говорили о Мне не так верно, как раб Мой Иов.
42:7 And it was so, that after the LORD had spoken these words unto Job, the LORD said to Eliphaz the Temanite, My wrath is kindled against you, and against your two friends: for all of you have not spoken of me the thing that is right, as my servant Job has.
42:8 Итак возьмите себе семь тельцов и семь овнов и пойдите к рабу Моему Иову и принесите за себя жертву; и раб Мой Иов помолится за вас, иботолько лице его Я приму, дабы не отвергнуть вас за то, что вы говорили о Мне не так верно, как раб Мой Иов.
42:8 Therefore take unto you now seven bullocks and seven rams, and go to my servant Job, and offer up for yourselves a burnt offering; and my servant Job shall pray for you: for him will I accept: lest I deal with you after your folly, in that all of you have not spoken of me the thing which is right, like my servant Job.
42:9 И пошли Елифаз Феманитянин и Вилдад Савхеянин и Софар Наамитянин,и сделали так, как Господь повелел им, – и Господь принял лице Иова.
42:9 So Eliphaz the Temanite and Bildad the Shuhite and Zophar the Naamathite went, and did according as the LORD commanded them: the LORD also accepted Job.
42:10 И возвратил Господь потерю Иова, когда он помолился за друзейсвоих; и дал Господь Иову вдвое больше того, что он имел прежде.
42:10 And the LORD turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends: also the LORD gave Job twice as much as he had before.
42:11 Тогда пришли к нему все братья его и все сестры его и все прежние знакомые его, и ели с ним хлеб в доме его, и тужили с ним, и утешали его за все зло, которое Господь навел на него, и дали ему каждый по кесите и по золотому кольцу.
42:11 Then came there unto him all his brethren, and all his sisters, and all they that had been of his acquaintance before, and did eat bread with him in his house: and they bemoaned him, and comforted him over all the evil that the LORD had brought upon him: every man also gave him a piece of money, and every one an earring of gold.
42:12 И благословил Бог последние дни Иова более, нежели прежние: у него было четырнадцать тысяч мелкого скота, шесть тысяч верблюдов, тысяча пар волов и тысяча ослиц.
42:12 So the LORD blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning: for he had fourteen thousand sheep, and six thousand camels, and a thousand yoke of oxen, and a thousand she asses.
42:13 И было у него семь сыновей и три дочери.
42:13 He had also seven sons and three daughters.
42:14 И нарек он имя первой Емима, имя второй – Кассия, а имя третьей – Керенгаппух.
42:14 And he called the name of the first, Jemima; and the name of the second, Kezia; and the name of the third, Kerenhappuch.
42:15 И не было на всей земле таких прекрасных женщин, как дочери Иова, и дал им отец их наследство между братьями их.
42:15 And in all the land were no women found so fair as the daughters of Job: and their father gave them inheritance among their brethren.
42:16 После того Иов жил сто сорок лет, и видел сыновей своих и сыновей сыновних до четвертого рода;
42:16 After this lived Job an hundred and forty years, and saw his sons, and his sons' sons, even four generations.
42:17 и умер Иов в старости, насыщенный днями.
42:17 So Job died, being old and full of days.
