25:1 The word of the LORD came again unto me, saying,

25:2 Son of man, set your face against the Ammonites, and prophesy against them;

25:3 And say unto the Ammonites, Hear the word of the Lord GOD; Thus says the Lord GOD; Because you said, Aha, against my sanctuary, when it was profaned; and against the land of Israel, when it was desolate; and against the house of Judah, when they went into captivity;

25:6 For thus says the Lord GOD; Because you have clapped yours hands, and stamped with the feet, and rejoiced in heart with all your despite against the land of Israel;

25:7 Behold, therefore I will stretch out mine hand upon you, and will deliver you for a spoil to the heathen; and I will cut you off from the people, and I will cause you to perish out of the countries: I will destroy you; and you shall know that I am the LORD.

25:8 Thus says the Lord GOD; Because that Moab and Seir do say, Behold, the house of Judah is like unto all the heathen;

25:11 And I will execute judgments upon Moab; and they shall know that I am the LORD.

25:12 Thus says the Lord GOD; Because that Edom has dealt against the house of Judah by taking vengeance, and has greatly offended, and revenged himself upon them;

25:14 And I will lay my vengeance upon Edom by the hand of my people Israel: and they shall do in Edom according to mine anger and according to my fury; and they shall know my vengeance, says the Lord GOD.

25:15 Thus says the Lord GOD; Because the Philistines have dealt by revenge, and have taken vengeance with a despiteful heart, to destroy it for the old hatred;

25:16 Therefore thus says the Lord GOD; Behold, I will stretch out mine hand upon the Philistines, and I will cut off the Cherethims, and destroy the remnant of the sea coast.

25:17 And I will execute great vengeance upon them with furious rebukes; and they shall know that I am the LORD, when I shall lay my vengeance upon them.

26:1 And it came to pass in the eleventh year, in the first day of the month, that the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

26:3 Therefore thus says the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against you, O Tyrus, and will cause many nations to come up against you, as the sea causes his waves to come up.

26:6 And her daughters which are in the field shall be slain by the sword; and they shall know that I am the LORD.

26:7 For thus says the Lord GOD; Behold, I will bring upon Tyrus Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, a king of kings, from the north, with horses, and with chariots, and with horsemen, and companies, and much people.

26:8 He shall slay with the sword your daughters in the field: and he shall make a fort against you, and cast a mount against you, and lift up the buckler against you.

26:13 And I will cause the noise of your songs to cease; and the sound of your harps shall be no more heard.

26:14 And I will make you like the top of a rock: you shall be a place to spread nets upon; you shall be built no more: for I the LORD have spoken it, says the Lord GOD.

26:15 Thus says the Lord GOD to Tyrus; Shall not the isles shake at the sound of your fall, when the wounded cry, when the slaughter is made in the midst of you?

26:16 Then all the princes of the sea shall come down from their thrones, and lay away their robes, and put off their broidered garments: they shall clothe themselves with trembling; they shall sit upon the ground, and shall tremble at every moment, and be astonished at you.

26:17 And they shall take up a lamentation for you, and say to you, How are you destroyed, that were inhabited of seafaring men, the renowned city, which were strong in the sea, she and her inhabitants, which cause their terror to be on all that haunt it!

26:18 Now shall the isles tremble in the day of your fall; yea, the isles that are in the sea shall be troubled at your departure.

26:19 For thus says the Lord GOD; When I shall make you a desolate city, like the cities that are not inhabited; when I shall bring up the deep upon you, and great waters shall cover you;

26:20 When I shall bring you down with them that descend into the pit, with the people of old time, and shall set you in the low parts of the earth, in places desolate of old, with them that go down to the pit, that you be not inhabited; and I shall set glory in the land of the living;

26:21 I will make you a terror, and you shall be no more: though you be sought for, yet shall you never be found again, says the Lord GOD.

27:1 The word of the LORD came again unto me, saying,

27:2 Now, you son of man, take up a lamentation for Tyrus;

27:34 In the time when you shall be broken by the seas in the depths of the waters your merchandise and all your company in the midst of you shall fall.

27:36 The merchants among the people shall hiss at you; you shall be a terror, and never shall be any more.

28:2 Son of man, say unto the prince of Tyrus, Thus says the Lord GOD; Because yours heart is lifted up, and you have said, I am a God, I sit in the seat of God, in the midst of the seas; yet you are a man, and not God, though you set yours heart as the heart of God:

28:3 Behold, you are wiser than Daniel; there is no secret that they can hide from you:

28:8 They shall bring you down to the pit, and you shall die the deaths of them that are slain in the midst of the seas.

28:10 You shall die the deaths of the uncircumcised by the hand of strangers: for I have spoken it, says the Lord GOD.

28:12 Son of man, take up a lamentation upon the king of Tyrus, and say unto him, Thus says the Lord GOD; You seal up the sum, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty.

28:13 You have been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was your covering, the ruby, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of your timbrels and of your pipes was prepared in you in the day that you were created.
28:14 わたしはあなたを油そそがれた／守護のケルブと一緒に置いた。あなたは神の聖なる山にいて、火の石の間を歩いた。
28:14 You are the anointed cherub that covers; and I have set you so: you were upon the holy mountain of God; you have walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.
28:15 あなたは造られた日から、あなたの中に悪が見いだされた日までは／そのおこないが完全であった。
28:15 You were perfect in your ways from the day that you were created, till iniquity was found in you.
28:16 あなたの商売が盛んになると、あなたの中に暴虐が満ちて、あなたは罪を犯した。それゆえ、わたしはあなたを神の山から／汚れたものとして投げ出し、守護のケルブはあなたを／火の石の間から追い出した。
28:16 By the multitude of your merchandise they have filled the midst of you with violence, and you have sinned: therefore I will cast you as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy you, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire.
28:17 あなたは自分の美しさのために心高ぶり、その輝きのために自分の知恵を汚したゆえに、わたしはあなたを地に投げうち、王たちの前に置いて見せ物とした。
28:17 Yours heart was lifted up because of your beauty, you have corrupted your wisdom by reason of your brightness: I will cast you to the ground, I will lay you before kings, that they may behold you.
28:18 あなたは不正な交易をして犯した多くの罪によって／あなたの聖所を汚したゆえ、わたしはあなたの中から火を出してあなたを焼き、あなたを見るすべての者の前で／あなたを地の上の灰とした。
28:18 You have defiled your sanctuaries by the multitude of yours iniquities, by the iniquity of your trade; therefore will I bring forth a fire from the midst of you, it shall devour you, and I will bring you to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all them that behold you.
28:19 もろもろの民のうちであなたを知る者は皆あなたについて驚く。あなたは恐るべき終りを遂げ、永遠にうせはてる」。
28:19 All they that know you among the people shall be astonished at you: you shall be a terror, and never shall you be any more.
28:20 主の言葉がわたしに臨んだ、
28:20 Again the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
28:21 「人の子よ、あなたの顔をシドンに向け、これに向かって預言して、
28:21 Son of man, set your face against Zidon, and prophesy against it,
28:22 言え。主なる神はこう言われる、シドンよ、見よ、わたしはあなたの敵となる、わたしはあなたのうちで栄えをあらわす。わたしがシドンのうちにさばきをおこない、そのうちにわたしの聖なることをあらわす時、彼らはわたしが主であることを知る。
28:22 And say, Thus says the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against you, O Zidon; and I will be glorified in the midst of you: and they shall know that I am the LORD, when I shall have executed judgments in her, and shall be sanctified in her.
28:23 わたしは疫病をこれに送り、そのちまたに流血を送る。その四方からこれに臨むつるぎによって／殺される者がその中に倒れる時、彼らはわたしが主であることを知る。
28:23 For I will send into her pestilence, and blood into her streets; and the wounded shall be judged in the midst of her by the sword upon her on every side; and they shall know that I am the LORD.
28:24 イスラエルの家には、もはや刺すいばらはなく、これを卑しめたその周囲の人々のうちには、苦しめるとげもなくなる。こうして彼らはわたしが主であることを知るようになる。
28:24 And there shall be no more a pricking brier unto the house of Israel, nor any grieving thorn of all that are round about them, that despised them; and they shall know that I am the Lord GOD.
28:25 主なる神はこう言われる、わたしがイスラエルの家の者を、その散らされたもろもろの民の中から集め、もろもろの国民の目の前で、彼らにわたしの聖なることをあらわす時、彼らはわたしが、わがしもべヤコブに与えた地に住むようになる。
28:25 Thus says the Lord GOD; When I shall have gathered the house of Israel from the people among whom they are scattered, and shall be sanctified in them in the sight of the heathen, then shall they dwell in their land that I have given to my servant Jacob.
28:26 彼らはそこに安らかに住み、家を建て、またぶどう畑を作る。かつて彼らを卑しめたすべての隣り人たちに対して、わたしがさばきを行う時、彼らは安らかに住む。こうして彼らは、わたしが彼らの神、主であることを知る」。
28:26 And they shall dwell safely therein, and shall build houses, and plant vineyards; yea, they shall dwell with confidence, when I have executed judgments upon all those that despise them round about them; and they shall know that I am the LORD their God.
29:1 第十年の十月十二日に、主の言葉がわたしに臨んだ、
29:1 In the tenth year, in the tenth month, in the twelfth day of the month, the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
29:2 「人の子よ、あなたの顔をエジプトの王パロに向け、彼とエジプト全国に対して預言し、
29:2 Son of man, set your face against Pharaoh king of Egypt, and prophesy against him, and against all Egypt:
29:3 語って言え。主なる神はこう言われる、エジプトの王パロよ、見よ、わたしはあなたの敵となる。あなたはその川の中に伏す大いなる龍で、『ナイル川はわたしのもの、わたしがこれを造った』と言う。
29:3 Speak, and say, Thus says the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against you, Pharaoh king of Egypt, the great dragon that lies in the midst of his rivers, which has said, My river is mine own, and I have made it for myself.
29:4 わたしは、かぎをあなたのあごにかけ、あなたの川の魚を、あなたのうろこにつかせ、あなたと、あなたのうろこについている／もろもろの魚を、あなたの川から引きあげ、
29:4 But I will put hooks in your jaws, and I will cause the fish of your rivers to stick unto your scales, and I will bring you up out of the midst of your rivers, and all the fish of your rivers shall stick unto your scales.
29:5 あなたとあなたの川のもろもろの魚を、荒野に投げ捨てる。あなたは野の面に倒れ、あなたを取り集める者も、葬る者もない。わたしはあなたを／地の獣と空の鳥のえじきとして与える。
29:5 And I will leave you thrown into the wilderness, you and all the fish of your rivers: you shall fall upon the open fields; you shall not be brought together, nor gathered: I have given you for food to the beasts of the field and to the fowls of the heaven.
29:6 そしてエジプトのすべての住民はわたしが主であることを知る。あなたはイスラエルの家に対して葦のつえであった。
29:6 And all the inhabitants of Egypt shall know that I am the LORD, because they have been a staff of reed to the house of Israel.
29:7 彼らがあなたを手にとる時、あなたは折れ、彼らの肩はことごとく裂ける。彼らがまたあなたに寄りかかる時、あなたは破れ、彼らの腰をことごとく震えさせる。
29:7 When they took hold of you by your hand, you did break, and rend all their shoulder: and when they leaned upon you, you brake, and made all their loins to be at a stand.
29:8 それゆえ、主なる神はこう言われる、見よ、わたしはつるぎをあなたに持ってきて、人と獣とをあなたのうちから断つ。
29:8 Therefore thus says the Lord GOD; Behold, I will bring a sword upon you, and cut off man and beast out of you.

29:9 And the land of Egypt shall be desolate and waste; and they shall know that I am the LORD: because he has said, The river is mine, and I have made it.
29:10 見よ、わたしはあなたとあなたの川々の敵となって、エジプトの地をミグドルからスエネまで、エチオピヤの境に至るまで、ことごとく荒し、むなしくする。
29:10 Behold, therefore I am against you, and against your rivers, and I will make the land of Egypt utterly waste and desolate, from the tower of Syene even unto the border of Ethiopia.
29:11 人の足はこれを渡らず、獣の足もこれを渡らない。四十年の間、ここに住む者はない。
29:11 No foot of man shall pass through it, nor foot of beast shall pass through it, neither shall it be inhabited forty years.
29:12 わたしはエジプトの地を荒して、荒れた国々の中に置き、その町々は荒れて、四十年のあいだ荒れた町々の中にある。わたしはエジプトびとを、もろもろの国民の中に散らし、もろもろの国の中に散らす。
29:12 And I will make the land of Egypt desolate in the midst of the countries that are desolate, and her cities among the cities that are laid waste shall be desolate forty years: and I will scatter the Egyptians among the nations, and will disperse them through the countries.
29:13 主なる神はこう言われる、四十年の後、わたしはエジプトびとを、その散らされたもろもろの民の中から集める。
29:13 Yet thus says the Lord GOD; At the end of forty years will I gather the Egyptians from the people where they were scattered:
29:14 すなわちエジプトの運命をもとに返し、彼らをその生れた地であるパテロスの地に帰らせる。その所で彼らは卑しい国となる。
29:14 And I will bring again the captivity of Egypt, and will cause them to return into the land of Pathros, into the land of their habitation; and they shall be there a base kingdom.
29:15 これはもろもろの国よりも卑しくなり、再びもろもろの国民の上に出ることができない。わたしは彼らを小さくするゆえ、再びもろもろの国民を治めることはない。
29:15 It shall be the base of the kingdoms; neither shall it exalt itself any more above the nations: for I will diminish them, that they shall no more rule over the nations.
29:16 これはイスラエルが助けを求める時、その罪を思い出して、再びイスラエルの家の頼みとはならない。こうして彼らは、わたしが主なる神であることを知る」。
29:16 And it shall be no more the confidence of the house of Israel, which brings their iniquity to remembrance, when they shall look after them: but they shall know that I am the Lord GOD.
29:17 第二十七年の一月一日に、主の言葉がわたしに臨んだ、
29:17 And it came to pass in the seven and twentieth year, in the first month, in the first day of the month, the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
29:18 「人の子よ、バビロンの王ネブカデレザルは、その軍勢をツロに対して大いに働かせた。頭は皆はげ、肩はみな破れた。しかし彼もその軍勢も、ツロに対してなしたその働きのために、なんの報いをも得なかった。
29:18 Son of man, Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon caused his army to serve a great service against Tyrus: every head was made bald, and every shoulder was peeled: yet had he no wages, nor his army, for Tyrus, for the service that he had served against it:
29:19 それゆえ、主なる神はこう言われる、見よ、わたしはバビロンの王ネブカデレザルに、エジプトの地を与える。彼はその財宝を取り、物をかすめ、物を奪い、それをその軍勢に与えて報いとする。
29:19 Therefore thus says the Lord GOD; Behold, I will give the land of Egypt unto Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon; and he shall take her multitude, and take her spoil, and take her prey; and it shall be the wages for his army.
29:20 彼の働いた報酬として、わたしはエジプトの地を彼に与える。彼らはわたしのために、これをしたからであると、主なる神は言われる。
29:20 I have given him the land of Egypt for his labour wherewith he served against it, because they wrought for me, says the Lord GOD.

29:21 In that day will I cause the horn of the house of Israel to bud forth, and I will give you the opening of the mouth in the midst of them; and they shall know that I am the LORD.
30:1 主の言葉がわたしに臨んだ、
30:1 The word of the LORD came again unto me, saying,
30:2 「人の子よ、預言して言え、主なる神はこう言われる、嘆け、その日はわざわいだ。
30:2 Son of man, prophesy and say, Thus says the Lord GOD; Wail all of you, Full of anguish is the day!
30:3 その日は近い、主の日は近い。これは雲の日、異邦人の滅びの時である。
30:3 For the day is near, even the day of the LORD is near, a cloudy day; it shall be the time of the heathen.
30:4 つるぎがエジプトに臨む。エジプトで殺される者の倒れる時、エチオピヤには苦しみがあり、その財宝は奪い去られ、その基は破られる。
30:4 And the sword shall come upon Egypt, and great pain shall be in Ethiopia, when the slain shall fall in Egypt, and they shall take away her multitude, and her foundations shall be broken down.
30:5 エチオピヤ、プテ、ルデ、アラビヤ、リビヤおよび同盟国の人々は、彼らと共につるぎに倒れる。
30:5 Ethiopia, and Libya, and Lydia, and all the mingled people, and Chub, and the men of the land that is in league, shall fall with them by the sword.

30:6 Thus says the LORD; They also that uphold Egypt shall fall; and the pride of her power shall come down: from the tower of Syene shall they fall in it by the sword, says the Lord GOD.
30:7 それは荒れて、荒れはてた国々のうちにあり、その町々は荒れた町々のうちにある。
30:7 And they shall be desolate in the midst of the countries that are desolate, and her cities shall be in the midst of the cities that are wasted.
30:8 わたしがエジプトに火を送り、これを助ける者が皆滅びる時、彼らはわたしが主であることを知る。
30:8 And they shall know that I am the LORD, when I have set a fire in Egypt, and when all her helpers shall be destroyed.
30:9 その日、早足の使者がわたしから出て、何事も知らぬエチオピヤびとを恐れさせる。そしてかのエジプトの滅びの日に、彼らに苦しみが来る。見よ、これはかならず来る。
30:9 In that day shall messengers go forth from me in ships to make the careless Ethiopians afraid, and great pain shall come upon them, as in the day of Egypt: for, lo, it comes.
30:10 主なる神はこう言われる、わたしはバビロンの王ネブカデレザルの手によって／エジプトの富を滅ぼす。
30:10 Thus says the Lord GOD; I will also make the multitude of Egypt to cease by the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon.
30:11 彼と彼に従うその民、すなわち国民のうちの／最も恐るべき者がきて、その地を滅ぼす。彼らはつるぎを抜いて、エジプトを攻め、殺した者を国に満たす。
30:11 He and his people with him, the terrible of the nations, shall be brought to destroy the land: and they shall draw their swords against Egypt, and fill the land with the slain.
30:12 わたしはナイル川をからし、その国を悪しき者の手に売り、異邦人の手によって国とその中のものとを荒す。主なるわたしはこれを言った。
30:12 And I will make the rivers dry, and sell the land into the hand of the wicked: and I will make the land waste, and all that is therein, by the hand of strangers: I the LORD have spoken it.
30:13 主なる神はこう言われる、わたしは偶像をこわし、メンピスで偶像を滅ぼす。エジプトの国には、もはや君たる者がなくなる。わたしはエジプトの国に恐れを与える。
30:13 Thus says the Lord GOD; I will also destroy the idols, and I will cause their images to cease out of Noph; and there shall be no more a prince of the land of Egypt: and I will put a fear in the land of Egypt.
30:14 わたしはパテロスを荒し、ゾアンに火を放ち、テーベにさばきをおこない、
30:14 And I will make Pathros desolate, and will set fire in Zoan, and will execute judgments in No.
30:15 わたしの怒りを、エジプトの要害であるペルシゥムに注ぎ、テーベの群衆を断ち、
30:15 And I will pour my fury upon Sin, the strength of Egypt; and I will cut off the multitude of No.
30:16 エジプトに火を下す。ペルシゥムはいたく苦しみ、テーベは打ち破られ、その城壁は破壊され、
30:16 And I will set fire in Egypt: Sin shall have great pain, and No shall be rent asunder, and Noph shall have distresses daily.

30:17 The young men of Aven and of Pibeseth shall fall by the sword: and these cities shall go into captivity.
30:18 わたしがエジプトの支配を砕く時、テパネスでは日は暗くなり、その誇る力は絶え、雲はこれをおおい、その娘たちは捕え移される。
30:18 At Tehaphnehes also the day shall be darkened, when I shall break there the yokes of Egypt: and the pomp of her strength shall cease in her: as for her, a cloud shall cover her, and her daughters shall go into captivity.
30:19 このようにわたしはエジプトにさばきを行う。そのとき彼らはわたしが主であることを知る」。
30:19 Thus will I execute judgments in Egypt: and they shall know that I am the LORD.
30:20 第十一年の一月七日に主の言葉がわたしに臨んだ、
30:20 And it came to pass in the eleventh year, in the first month, in the seventh day of the month, that the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
30:21 「人の子よ、わたしはエジプトの王パロの腕を折った。見よ、これは包まれず、いやされず、ほうたいをも施されない。それは強くなって、つるぎを執ることができない。
30:21 Son of man, I have broken the arm of Pharaoh king of Egypt; and, lo, it shall not be bound up to be healed, to put a roller to bind it, to make it strong to hold the sword.
30:22 それゆえ、主なる神はこう言われる、見よ、わたしはエジプトの王パロを攻め、その強い腕と、折れた腕とを共に折り、その手からつるぎを落させる。
30:22 Therefore thus says the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against Pharaoh king of Egypt, and will break his arms, the strong, and that which was broken; and I will cause the sword to fall out of his hand.
30:23 わたしはエジプトびとを、もろもろの国民の中に散らし、国々に散らす。
30:23 And I will scatter the Egyptians among the nations, and will disperse them through the countries.
30:24 わたしはバビロンの王の腕を強くし、わたしのつるぎを、その手に与える。しかしわたしはパロの腕を折るゆえ、彼は深手を負った者のように、彼の前にうめく。
30:24 And I will strengthen the arms of the king of Babylon, and put my sword in his hand: but I will break Pharaoh's arms, and he shall groan before him with the groanings of a deadly wounded man.
30:25 わたしがバビロンの王の腕を強くし、パロの腕がたれる時、彼らはわたしが主であることを知る。わたしがわたしのつるぎを、バビロンの王に授け、これをエジプトの国に向かって伸べさせ、
30:25 But I will strengthen the arms of the king of Babylon, and the arms of Pharaoh shall fall down; and they shall know that I am the LORD, when I shall put my sword into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall stretch it out upon the land of Egypt.
30:26 わたしがエジプトびとを、もろもろの国民の中に散らし、国々に散らす時、彼らはわたしが主であることを知る」。
30:26 And I will scatter the Egyptians among the nations, and disperse them among the countries; and they shall know that I am the LORD.
31:1 第十一年の三月一日に主の言葉がわたしに臨んだ、
31:1 And it came to pass in the eleventh year, in the third month, in the first day of the month, that the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
31:2 「人の子よ、エジプトの王パロと、その民衆とに言え、あなたはその大いなること、だれに似ているか。
31:2 Son of man, speak unto Pharaoh king of Egypt, and to his multitude; Whom are you like in your greatness?
31:3 見よ、わたしはあなたを／レバノンの香柏のようにする。麗しき枝と森の陰があり、たけが高く、その頂は雲の中にある。
31:3 Behold, the Assyrian was a cedar in Lebanon with fair branches, and with a shadowing shroud, and of an high stature; and his top was among the thick boughs.
31:4 水はこれを育て、大水がこれを高くする。その川々はその植えた所をめぐって流れ、その流れを野のすべての木に送る。
31:4 The waters made him great, the deep set him up on high with her rivers running round about his plants, and sent her little rivers unto all the trees of the field.
31:5 これによってそのたけは、野のすべての木よりも高くなり、その育つとき多くの水のために／枝葉は茂り、枝は伸び、
31:5 Therefore his height was exalted above all the trees of the field, and his boughs were multiplied, and his branches became long because of the multitude of waters, when he shot forth.
31:6 その枝葉に空のすべての鳥が、巣をつくり、その枝の下に野のすべての獣は子を生み、その陰にもろもろの国民は住む。
31:6 All the fowls of heaven made their nests in his boughs, and under his branches did all the beasts of the field bring forth their young, and under his shadow dwelt all great nations.
31:7 これはその大きなことと、その枝の長いことによって美しかった。その根を多くの水に、おろしていたからである。
31:7 Thus was he fair in his greatness, in the length of his branches: for his root was by great waters.
31:8 神の園の香柏も、これと競うことはできない。もみの木もその枝葉に及ばない。けやきもその枝と比べられない。神の園のすべての木も、その麗しきこと、これに比すべきものはない。
31:8 The cedars in the garden of God could not hide him: the fir trees were not like his boughs, and the chestnut trees were not like his branches; nor any tree in the garden of God was like unto him in his beauty.
31:9 わたしはその枝を多くして、これを美しくした。神の園にあるエデンの木は皆／これをうらやんだ。
31:9 I have made him fair by the multitude of his branches: so that all the trees of Eden, that were in the garden of God, envied him.
31:10 それゆえ、主なる神はこう言われる、これは、たけが高くなり、その頂を雲の中におき、その心が高ぶりおごるゆえ、
31:10 Therefore thus says the Lord GOD; Because you have lifted up yourself in height, and he has shot up his top among the thick boughs, and his heart is lifted up in his height;
31:11 わたしはこれを、もろもろの国民の力ある者の手に渡す。彼はこれに対してその悪のために正しい処置をとる。わたしはこれを追い出した。
31:11 I have therefore delivered him into the hand of the mighty one of the heathen; he shall surely deal with him: I have driven him out for his wickedness.
31:12 もろもろの国民の最も恐れている異邦人はこれを切り倒して捨てる。その枝はもろもろの山と、すべての谷とに落ち、その枝葉は砕けて、地のすべての流れにあり、地のすべての民は、その陰を離れて、これを捨てる。
31:12 And strangers, the terrible of the nations, have cut him off, and have left him: upon the mountains and in all the valleys his branches are fallen, and his boughs are broken by all the rivers of the land; and all the people of the earth are gone down from his shadow, and have left him.
31:13 その倒れた所に、空のもろもろの鳥は住み、その枝の上に、野のもろもろの獣はいる。
31:13 Upon his ruin shall all the fowls of the heaven remain, and all the beasts of the field shall be upon his branches:
31:14 これは水のほとりのすべての木が、その高さのために誇ることなく、その頂を雲の中におくことなく、水に潤う木が、みずから高ぶり立つことのないためである。これらは皆、死に渡され、下の国に入り、穴に下る者と共に他の人々のうちにいる。
31:14 To the end that none of all the trees by the waters exalt themselves for their height, neither shoot up their top among the thick boughs, neither their trees stand up in their height, all that drink water: for they are all delivered unto death, to the nether parts of the earth, in the midst of the children of men, with them that go down to the pit.
31:15 主なる神はこう言われる、これが陰府に下る日にわたしが淵をこれがために悲しませ、その川々をせきとめるので、大水はとどまる。わたしはレバノンを、これがために嘆かせ、野のすべての木を、これがために衰えさせる。
31:15 Thus says the Lord GOD; In the day when he went down to the grave I caused a mourning: I covered the deep for him, and I restrained the floods thereof, and the great waters were stayed: and I caused Lebanon to mourn for him, and all the trees of the field fainted for him.
31:16 わたしがこれを穴に下る者と共に陰府に落す時、もろもろの国民をその落ちる響きのために、打ち震えさせる。そしてエデンのすべての木、レバノンのすぐれて美しいもの、すべて水に潤うものは、下の国で慰められる。
31:16 I made the nations to shake at the sound of his fall, when I cast him down to hell with them that descend into the pit: and all the trees of Eden, the choice and best of Lebanon, all that drink water, shall be comforted in the nether parts of the earth.
31:17 彼らもこれと共に陰府に下り、つるぎで殺された者のところに至る。まことにもろもろの国民のうちで、その陰に住んだ者も滅びる。
31:17 They also went down into hell with him unto them that be slain with the sword; and they that were his arm, that dwelt under his shadow in the midst of the heathen.
31:18 エデンの木のうちで、その栄えと大いなることで、あなたはどれに似ているのか。あなたはこのように、エデンの木と共に、下の国に落され、つるぎで殺された者と共に、割礼を受けない者のうちに住む。これがパロとその民衆であると、主なる神は言われる」。
31:18 To whom are you thus like in glory and in greatness among the trees of Eden? yet shall you be brought down with the trees of Eden unto the nether parts of the earth: you shall lie in the midst of the uncircumcised with them that be slain by the sword. This is Pharaoh and all his multitude, says the Lord GOD.
32:1 第十二年の十二月一日に、主の言葉がわたしに臨んだ、
32:1 And it came to pass in the twelfth year, in the twelfth month, in the first day of the month, that the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
32:2 「人の子よ、エジプトの王パロのために、悲しみの歌をのべて、これに言え、あなたは自分をもろもろの国民のうちの／ししであると考えているが、あなたは海の中の龍のような者である。あなたは川の中に、はね起き、足で水をかきまぜ、川を濁す。
32:2 Son of man, take up a lamentation for Pharaoh king of Egypt, and say unto him, You are like a young lion of the nations, and you are as a whale in the seas: and you came forth with your rivers, and troubled the waters with your feet, and fouled their rivers.
32:3 主なる神はこう言われる、わたしは多くの民の集団をもって、わたしの網をあなたに投げかけ、あなたを網で引きあげる。
32:3 Thus says the Lord GOD; I will therefore spread out my net over you with a company of many people; and they shall bring you up in my net.
32:4 わたしはあなたを地に投げ捨て、野の面に投げうち、空のすべての鳥をあなたの上にとまらせ、全地の獣にあなたを与えて飽かせる。
32:4 Then will I leave you upon the land, I will cast you forth upon the open field, and will cause all the fowls of the heaven to remain upon you, and I will fill the beasts of the whole earth with you.
32:5 わたしはあなたの肉を山々に捨て、あなたの死体で谷を満たす。
32:5 And I will lay your flesh upon the mountains, and fill the valleys with your height.
32:6 わたしはあなたの流れる血で、地を潤し、山々にまで及ぼす。谷川はあなたの死体で満ちる。
32:6 I will also water with your blood the land wherein you swim, even to the mountains; and the rivers shall be full of you.
32:7 わたしはあなたを滅ぼす時、空をおおい、星を暗くし、雲で日をおおい、月に光を放たせない。
32:7 And when I shall put you out, I will cover the heaven, and make the stars thereof dark; I will cover the sun with a cloud, and the moon shall not give her light.
32:8 わたしは空の輝く光を、ことごとくあなたの上に暗くし、あなたの国をやみとすると／主なる神は言う。
32:8 All the bright lights of heaven will I make dark over you, and set darkness upon your land, says the Lord GOD.
32:9 わたしはもろもろの国民、あなたの知らない国々の中に、あなたを捕え移す時、多くの民の心を痛ませる。
32:9 I will also vex the hearts of many people, when I shall bring your destruction among the nations, into the countries which you have not known.
32:10 わたしはあなたについて、多くの民を驚かせる。その王たちは、わたしがわたしのつるぎを、彼らの前に振るう時、あなたの事でおののく。あなたの倒れる日には、彼らはおのおの自分の命を思って、絶えず打ち震える。
32:10 Yea, I will make many people amazed at you, and their kings shall be horribly afraid for you, when I shall brandish my sword before them; and they shall tremble at every moment, every man for his own life, in the day of your fall.
32:11 主なる神はこう言われる、バビロンの王のつるぎはあなたに臨む。
32:11 For thus says the Lord GOD; The sword of the king of Babylon shall come upon you.
32:12 わたしはあなたの民衆を勇士のつるぎに倒れさせる。彼らは皆、もろもろの国民の中で、最も恐れられている者たちである。彼らはエジプトの誇を断つ、エジプトの民衆は皆滅ぼされる。
32:12 By the swords of the mighty will I cause your multitude to fall, the terrible of the nations, all of them: and they shall spoil the pomp of Egypt, and all the multitude thereof shall be destroyed.
32:13 わたしはその家畜をことごとく、多くの水のかたわらから滅ぼす。人の足は再びこれを濁さず、家畜のひずめもこれを乱さない。
32:13 I will destroy also all the beasts thereof from beside the great waters; neither shall the foot of man trouble them any more, nor the hoofs of beasts trouble them.
32:14 その時わたしはその水を清くし、その川々を油のように流れさせると、主なる神は言う。
32:14 Then will I make their waters deep, and cause their rivers to run like oil, says the Lord GOD.
32:15 わたしはエジプトの国を荒し、その国に満ちるものが、ことごとく取り去られる時、わたしがその中に住む者をことごとく撃つ時、彼らはわたしが主であることを知る。
32:15 When I shall make the land of Egypt desolate, and the country shall be destitute of that whereof it was full, when I shall strike all them that dwell therein, then shall they know that I am the LORD.
32:16 これは悲しみの歌である。人々はこれを歌い、もろもろの国の娘たちはこれを歌う。すなわちエジプトと、そのすべての民衆とのために、これを歌うのであると、主なる神は言われる」。
32:16 This is the lamentation wherewith they shall lament her: the daughters of the nations shall lament her: they shall lament for her, even for Egypt, and for all her multitude, says the Lord GOD.
32:17 第十二年の一月十五日に、主の言葉がわたしに臨んだ、
32:17 It came to pass also in the twelfth year, in the fifteenth day of the month, that the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
32:18 「人の子よ、エジプトの民衆のために嘆き、これと大いなる国々の娘らとを、下の国に投げ下し、穴に下った者のところに至らせよ。
32:18 Son of man, wail for the multitude of Egypt, and cast them down, even her, and the daughters of the famous nations, unto the nether parts of the earth, with them that go down into the pit.
32:19 『あなたの美はだれにまさっているか。下って、割礼を受けない者と共に伏せよ』。
32:19 Whom do you pass in beauty? go down, and be you laid with the uncircumcised.
32:20 彼らはつるぎに殺される者のうちに倒れる。その民衆はこれと共に伏せる。
32:20 They shall fall in the midst of them that are slain by the sword: she is delivered to the sword: draw her and all her multitudes.
32:21 勇士の首領はその助け手と共に、陰府の中から彼らに言う、『割礼を受けない者、つるぎに殺された者は下って伏している』と。
32:21 The strong among the mighty shall speak to him out of the midst of hell with them that help him: they are gone down, they lie uncircumcised, slain by the sword.
32:22 アッスリヤとその仲間とはその所におり、その墓はこれを囲む。彼らはみな殺された者、またつるぎに倒れた者である。
32:22 Asshur is there and all her company: his graves are about him: all of them slain, fallen by the sword:
32:23 彼らの墓は穴の奥に設けられ、その仲間はその墓の周囲にあり、これはみな殺された者、つるぎに倒れた者、生ける者の地に恐れを起した者である。
32:23 Whose graves are set in the sides of the pit, and her company is round about her grave: all of them slain, fallen by the sword, which caused terror in the land of the living.
32:24 その所にエラムがおり、その民衆は皆、その墓の周囲におる。彼らはみな殺された者、つるぎに倒れた者、割礼を受けないで、下の国に下った者、生ける者の地に、恐れを起した者で、穴に下る者と共に、恥を負うのである。
32:24 There is Elam and all her multitude round about her grave, all of them slain, fallen by the sword, which are gone down uncircumcised into the nether parts of the earth, which caused their terror in the land of the living; yet have they borne their shame with them that go down to the pit.
32:25 彼らはそのすべての民衆と共に、殺された者の中に床を置き、その墓はこれを囲む。これは皆、割礼を受けない者、つるぎに殺された者、生ける者の地に恐れを起した者で、穴に下る者と共に恥を負う。彼らは殺された者の中に置かれている。
32:25 They have set her a bed in the midst of the slain with all her multitude: her graves are round about him: all of them uncircumcised, slain by the sword: though their terror was caused in the land of the living, yet have they borne their shame with them that go down to the pit: he is put in the midst of them that be slain.
32:26 その所にメセクとトバル、およびすべての民衆がおる。その墓はこれを囲む。彼らは皆、割礼を受けない者で、つるぎで殺された者である。生ける者の地に恐れを起したからである。
32:26 There is Meshech, Tubal, and all her multitude: her graves are round about him: all of them uncircumcised, slain by the sword, though they caused their terror in the land of the living.
32:27 彼らは昔の倒れた勇士と共に伏さない。これらの勇士は、武具を持って陰府に下り、つるぎをまくらとし、その盾は骨の上にある。これは勇士の恐れが、生ける者の地にあったからである。
32:27 And they shall not lie with the mighty that are fallen of the uncircumcised, which are gone down to hell with their weapons of war: and they have laid their swords under their heads, but their iniquities shall be upon their bones, though they were the terror of the mighty in the land of the living.
32:28 あなたは割礼を受けない者のうちに、つるぎで殺された者と共に横たわる。
32:28 Yea, you shall be broken in the midst of the uncircumcised, and shall lie with them that are slain with the sword.
32:29 その所にエドムとその王たちと、そのすべての君たちがおる。彼らはその力を持つにもかかわらず、かのつるぎで殺された者と共に横たえられ、割礼を受けない者および穴に下る者と共に伏している。
32:29 There is Edom, her kings, and all her princes, which with their might are laid by them that were slain by the sword: they shall lie with the uncircumcised, and with them that go down to the pit.
32:30 その所に北の君たち、およびシドンびとが皆おる。彼らは自分の力によって恐れを起したので、殺された者と共に恥を受けて、下って行った者である。彼らはつるぎで殺された者と共に、割礼を受けずに伏し、穴に下る者と共に恥を負う。
32:30 There be the princes of the north, all of them, and all the Zidonians, which are gone down with the slain; with their terror they are ashamed of their might; and they lie uncircumcised with them that be slain by the sword, and bear their shame with them that go down to the pit.
32:31 パロは彼らを見る時、そのすべての民衆について慰められる。パロとそのすべての軍勢とは、つるぎで殺されると、主なる神は言われる。
32:31 Pharaoh shall see them, and shall be comforted over all his multitude, even Pharaoh and all his army slain by the sword, says the Lord GOD.
32:32 彼は生ける者の国に恐れを広げた。それゆえ、パロとすべての民衆とは、割礼を受けない者のうちにあって、つるぎで殺された者と共に伏すと、主なる神は言われる」。
32:32 For I have caused my terror in the land of the living: and he shall be laid in the midst of the uncircumcised with them that are slain with the sword, even Pharaoh and all his multitude, says the Lord GOD.
33:1 主の言葉がわたしに臨んだ、
33:1 Again the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
33:2 「人の子よ、あなたの民の人々に語って言え、わたしがつるぎを一つの国に臨ませる時、その国の民が彼らのうちからひとりを選んで、これを自分たちの見守る者とする。
33:2 Son of man, speak to the children of your people, and say unto them, When I bring the sword upon a land, if the people of the land take a man of their coasts, and set him for their watchman:
33:3 彼は国につるぎが臨むのを見て、ラッパを吹き、民を戒める。
33:3 If when he sees the sword come upon the land, he blow the trumpet, and warn the people;
33:4 しかし人がラッパの音を聞いても、みずから警戒せず、ついにつるぎが来て、その人を殺したなら、その血は彼のこうべに帰する。
33:4 Then whosoever hears the sound of the trumpet, and takes not warning; if the sword come, and take him away, his blood shall be upon his own head.
33:5 彼はラッパの音を聞いて、みずから警戒しなかったのであるから、その血は彼自身に帰する。しかしその人が、みずから警戒したなら、その命は救われる。
33:5 He heard the sound of the trumpet, and took not warning; his blood shall be upon him. But he that takes warning shall deliver his soul.
33:6 しかし見守る者が、つるぎの臨むのを見ても、ラッパを吹かず、そのため民が、みずから警戒しないでいるうちに、つるぎが臨み、彼らの中のひとりを失うならば、その人は、自分の罪のために殺されるが、わたしはその血の責任を、見守る者の手に求める。
33:6 But if the watchman see the sword come, and blow not the trumpet, and the people be not warned; if the sword come, and take any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at the watchman's hand.
33:7 それゆえ、人の子よ、わたしはあなたを立てて、イスラエルの家を見守る者とする。あなたはわたしの口から言葉を聞き、わたしに代って彼らを戒めよ。
33:7 So you, O son of man, I have set you a watchman unto the house of Israel; therefore you shall hear the word at my mouth, and warn them from me.
33:8 わたしが悪人に向かって、悪人よ、あなたは必ず死ぬと言う時、あなたが悪人を戒めて、その道から離れさせるように語らなかったら、悪人は自分の罪によって死ぬ。しかしわたしはその血を、あなたの手に求める。
33:8 When I say unto the wicked, O wicked man, you shall surely die; if you do not speak to warn the wicked from his way, that wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at yours hand.
33:9 しかしあなたが悪人に、その道を離れるように戒めても、その悪人がその道を離れないなら、彼は自分の罪によって死ぬ。しかしあなたの命は救われる。
33:9 Nevertheless, if you warn the wicked of his way to turn from it; if he do not turn from his way, he shall die in his iniquity; but you have delivered your soul.
33:10 それゆえ、人の子よ、イスラエルの家に言え、あなたがたはこう言った、『われわれのとがと、罪はわれわれの上にある。われわれはその中にあって衰えはてる。どうして生きることができようか』と。
33:10 Therefore, O you son of man, speak unto the house of Israel; Thus all of you speak, saying, If our transgressions and our sins be upon us, and we pine away in them, how should we then live?
33:11 あなたは彼らに言え、主なる神は言われる、わたしは生きている。わたしは悪人の死を喜ばない。むしろ悪人が、その道を離れて生きるのを喜ぶ。あなたがたは心を翻せ、心を翻してその悪しき道を離れよ。イスラエルの家よ、あなたはどうして死んでよかろうか。
33:11 Say unto them, As I live, says the Lord GOD, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn all of you, turn all of you from your evil ways; for why will all of you die, O house of Israel?
33:12 人の子よ、あなたの民の人々に言え、義人の義は、彼が罪を犯す時には、彼を救わない。悪人の悪は、彼がその悪を離れる時、その悪のために倒れることはない。義人は彼が罪を犯す時、その義のために生きることはできない。
33:12 Therefore, you son of man, say unto the children of your people, The righteousness of the righteous shall not deliver him in the day of his transgression: as for the wickedness of the wicked, he shall not fall thereby in the day that he turns from his wickedness; neither shall the righteous be able to live for his righteousness in the day that he sins.
33:13 わたしが義人に、彼は必ず生きると言っても、もし彼が自分の義をたのんで、罪を犯すなら、彼のすべての義は覚えられない。彼はみずから犯した罪のために死ぬ。
33:13 When I shall say to the righteous, that he shall surely live; if he trust to his own righteousness, and commit iniquity, all his righteousnesses shall not be remembered; but for his iniquity that he has committed, he shall die for it.
33:14 また、わたしが悪人に『あなたは必ず死ぬ』と言っても、もし彼がその罪を離れ、公道と正義とを行うならば、
33:14 Again, when I say unto the wicked, You shall surely die; if he turn from his sin, and do that which is lawful and right;
33:15 すなわちその悪人が質物を返し、奪った物をもどし、命の定めに歩み、悪を行わないならば、彼は必ず生きる。決して死なない。
33:15 If the wicked restore the pledge, give again that he had robbed, walk in the statutes of life, without committing iniquity; he shall surely live, he shall not die.
33:16 彼の犯したすべての罪は彼に対して覚えられない。彼は公道と正義とを行ったのであるから、必ず生きる。
33:16 None of his sins that he has committed shall be mentioned unto him: he has done that which is lawful and right; he shall surely live.
33:17 あなたの民の人々は『主の道は公平でない』と言う。しかし彼らの道こそ公平でないのである。
33:17 Yet the children of your people say, The way of the Lord is not equal: but as for them, their way is not equal.
33:18 義人がその義を離れて、罪を犯すならば、彼はこれがために死ぬ。
33:18 When the righteous turns from his righteousness, and commits iniquity, he shall even die thereby.
33:19 悪人がその悪を離れて、公道と正義とを行うならば、彼はこれによって生きる。
33:19 But if the wicked turn from his wickedness, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall live thereby.
33:20 それであるのに、あなたがたは『主の道は公平でない』と言う。イスラエルの家よ、わたしは各自のおこないにしたがって、あなたがたをさばく」。
33:20 Yet all of you say, The way of the Lord is not equal. O all of you house of Israel, I will judge you every one after his ways.
33:21 わたしたちが捕え移された後、すなわち第十二年の十月五日に、エルサレムからのがれて来た者が、わたしのもとに来て言った、「町は打ち破られた」と。
33:21 And it came to pass in the twelfth year of our captivity, in the tenth month, in the fifth day of the month, that one that had escaped out of Jerusalem came unto me, saying, The city is smitten.
33:22 その者が来た前の夜、主の手がわたしに臨んだ。次の朝、その人がわたしのもとに来たころ、主はわたしの口を開かれた。わたしの口が開けたので、もはやわたしは沈黙しなかった。
33:22 Now the hand of the LORD was upon me in the evening, before he that was escaped came; and had opened my mouth, until he came to me in the morning; and my mouth was opened, and I was no more dumb.
33:23 主の言葉がわたしに臨んだ、
33:23 Then the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
33:24 「人の子よ、イスラエルの地の、かの荒れ跡の住民らは、語り続けて言う、『アブラハムはただひとりで、なおこの地を所有した。しかしわたしたちの数は多い。この地はわれわれの所有として与えられている』と。
33:24 Son of man, they that inhabit those wastes of the land of Israel speak, saying, Abraham was one, and he inherited the land: but we are many; the land is given us for inheritance.
33:25 それゆえ、あなたは彼らに言え、主なる神はこう言われる、あなたがたは肉を血のついたままで食べ、おのが偶像を仰ぎ、血を流していて、なおこの地を所有することができるか。
33:25 Wherefore say unto them, Thus says the Lord GOD; All of you eat with the blood, and lift up your eyes toward your idols, and shed blood: and shall all of you possess the land?
33:26 あなたがたはつるぎをたのみ、憎むべき事をおこない、おのおの隣り人の妻を汚して、なおこの地を所有することができるか。
33:26 All of you stand upon your sword, all of you work abomination, and all of you defile every one his neighbour's wife: and shall all of you possess the land?
33:27 あなたは彼らに言いなさい。主なる神はこう言われる、わたしは生きている。かの荒れ跡にいる者は必ずつるぎに倒れる。わたしは野の面にいる者を、獣に与えて食わせ、要害とほら穴とにいる者は疫病で死ぬ。
33:27 Say you thus unto them, Thus says the Lord GOD; As I live, surely they that are in the wastes shall fall by the sword, and him that is in the open field will I give to the beasts to be devoured, and they that be in the forts and in the caves shall die of the pestilence.
33:28 わたしはこの国を全く荒す。彼の誇る力はうせ、イスラエルの山々は荒れて通る者もなくなる。
33:28 For I will lay the land most desolate, and the pomp of her strength shall cease; and the mountains of Israel shall be desolate, that none shall pass through.
33:29 彼らがおこなったすべての憎むべきことのために、わたしがこの国を全く荒す時、彼らはわたしが主であることを悟る。
33:29 Then shall they know that I am the LORD, when I have laid the land most desolate because of all their abominations which they have committed.
33:30 人の子よ、あなたの民の人々は、かきのかたわら、家の入口で、あなたの事を論じ、たがいに語りあって言う、『さあ、われわれは、どんな言葉が主から出るかを聞こう』と。
33:30 Also, you son of man, the children of your people still are talking against you by the walls and in the doors of the houses, and speak one to another, every one to his brother, saying, Come, I pray you, and hear what is the word that comes forth from the LORD.
33:31 彼らは民が来るようにあなたの所に来、わたしの民のようにあなたの前に座して、あなたの言葉を聞く。しかし彼らはそれを行わない。彼等は口先では多くの愛を現すが、その心は利におもむいている。
33:31 And they come unto you as the people comes, and they sit before you as my people, and they hear your words, but they will not do them: for with their mouth they show much love, but their heart goes after their covetousness.
33:32 見よ、あなたは彼らには、美しい声で愛の歌をうたう者のように、また楽器をよく奏する者のように思われる。彼らはあなたの言葉は聞くが、それを行おうとはしない。
33:32 And, lo, you are unto them as a very lovely song of one that has a pleasant voice, and can play well on an instrument: for they hear your words, but they do them not.
33:33 この事が起る時――これは必ず起る――そのとき彼らの中にひとりの預言者がいたことを彼らは悟る」。
33:33 And when this comes to pass, (lo, it will come,) then shall they know that a prophet has been among them.
34:1 主の言葉がわたしに臨んだ、
34:1 And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
34:2 「人の子よ、イスラエルの牧者たちに向かって預言せよ。預言して彼ら牧者に言え、主なる神はこう言われる、わざわいなるかな、自分自身を養うイスラエルの牧者。牧者は群れを養うべき者ではないか。
34:2 Son of man, prophesy against the shepherds of Israel, prophesy, and say unto them, Thus says the Lord GOD unto the shepherds; Woe be to the shepherds of Israel that do feed themselves! should not the shepherds feed the flocks?
34:3 ところが、あなたがたは脂肪を食べ、毛織物をまとい、肥えたものをほふるが、群れを養わない。
34:3 All of you eat the fat, and all of you clothe you with the wool, all of you kill them that are fed: but all of you feed not the flock.
34:4 あなたがたは弱った者を強くせず、病んでいる者をいやさず、傷ついた者をつつまず、迷い出た者を引き返らせず、うせた者を尋ねず、彼らを手荒く、きびしく治めている。
34:4 The diseased have all of you not strengthened, neither have all of you healed that which was sick, neither have all of you bound up that which was broken, neither have all of you brought again that which was driven away, neither have all of you sought that which was lost; but with force and with cruelty have all of you ruled them.
34:5 彼らは牧者がないために散り、野のもろもろの獣のえじきになる。
34:5 And they were scattered, because there is no shepherd: and they became food to all the beasts of the field, when they were scattered.
34:6 わが羊は散らされている。彼らはもろもろの山と、もろもろの高き丘にさまよい、わが羊は地の全面に散らされているが、これを捜す者もなく、尋ねる者もない。
34:6 My sheep wandered through all the mountains, and upon every high hill: yea, my flock was scattered upon all the face of the earth, and none did search or seek after them.
34:7 それゆえ、牧者よ、主の言葉を聞け。
34:7 Therefore, all of you shepherds, hear the word of the LORD;
34:8 主なる神は言われる、わたしは生きている。わが羊はかすめられ、わが羊は野のもろもろの獣のえじきとなっているが、その牧者はいない。わが牧者はわが羊を尋ねない。牧者は自身を養うが、わが羊を養わない。
34:8 As I live, says the Lord GOD, surely because my flock became a prey, and my flock became food to every beast of the field, because there was no shepherd, neither did my shepherds search for my flock, but the shepherds fed themselves, and fed not my flock;
34:9 それゆえ牧者らよ、主の言葉を聞け。
34:9 Therefore, O all of you shepherds, hear the word of the LORD;
34:10 主なる神はこう言われる、見よ、わたしは牧者らの敵となり、わたしの羊を彼らの手に求め、彼らにわたしの群れを養うことをやめさせ、再び牧者自身を養わせない。またわが羊を彼らの口から救って、彼らの食物にさせない。
34:10 Thus says the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against the shepherds; and I will require my flock at their hand, and cause them to cease from feeding the flock; neither shall the shepherds feed themselves any more; for I will deliver my flock from their mouth, that they may not be food for them.
34:11 主なる神はこう言われる、見よ、わたしは、わたしみずからわが羊を尋ねて、これを捜し出す。
34:11 For thus says the Lord GOD; Behold, I, even I, will both search my sheep, and seek them out.
34:12 牧者がその羊の散り去った時、その羊の群れを捜し出すように、わたしはわが羊を捜し出し、雲と暗やみの日に散った、すべての所からこれを救う。
34:12 As a shepherd seeks out his flock in the day that he is among his sheep that are scattered; so will I seek out my sheep, and will deliver them out of all places where they have been scattered in the cloudy and dark day.
34:13 わたしは彼らをもろもろの民の中から導き出し、もろもろの国から集めて、彼らの国に携え入れ、イスラエルの山の上、泉のほとり、また国のうちの人の住むすべての所でこれを養う。
34:13 And I will bring them out from the people, and gather them from the countries, and will bring them to their own land, and feed them upon the mountains of Israel by the rivers, and in all the inhabited places of the country.
34:14 わたしは良き牧場で彼らを養う。その牧場はイスラエルの高い山にあり、その所で彼らは良い羊のおりに伏し、イスラエルの山々の上で肥えた牧場で草を食う。
34:14 I will feed them in a good pasture, and upon the high mountains of Israel shall their fold be: there shall they lie in a good fold, and in a fat pasture shall they feed upon the mountains of Israel.
34:15 わたしはみずからわが羊を飼い、これを伏させると主なる神は言われる。
34:15 I will feed my flock, and I will cause them to lie down, says the Lord GOD.
34:16 わたしは、うせたものを尋ね、迷い出たものを引き返し、傷ついたものを包み、弱ったものを強くし、肥えたものと強いものとは、これを監督する。わたしは公平をもって彼らを養う。
34:16 I will seek that which was lost, and bring again that which was driven away, and will bind up that which was broken, and will strengthen that which was sick: but I will destroy the fat and the strong; I will feed them with judgment.
34:17 主なる神はこう言われる、あなたがた、わが群れよ、見よ、わたしは羊と羊との間、雄羊と雄やぎとの間をさばく。
34:17 And as for you, O my flock, thus says the Lord GOD; Behold, I judge between cattle and cattle, between the rams and the he goats.
34:18 あなたがたは良き牧場で草を食い、その草の残りを足で踏み、また澄んだ水を飲み、その残りを足で濁すが、これは、あまりのことではないか。
34:18 Seems it a small thing unto you to have eaten up the good pasture, but all of you must tread down with your feet the residue of your pastures? and to have drunk of the deep waters, but all of you must foul the residue with your feet?
34:19 わが羊はあなたがたが、足で踏んだものを食い、あなたがたの足で濁したものを、飲まなければならないのか。
34:19 And as for my flock, they eat that which all of you have trodden with your feet; and they drink that which all of you have fouled with your feet.
34:20 それゆえ、主なる神はこう彼らに言われる、見よ、わたしは肥えた羊と、やせた羊との間をさばく。
34:20 Therefore thus says the Lord GOD unto them; Behold, I, even I, will judge between the fat cattle and between the lean cattle.
34:21 あなたがたは、わきと肩とをもって押し、角をもって、すべて弱い者を突き、ついに彼らを外に追い散らした。
34:21 Because all of you have thrust with side and with shoulder, and pushed all the diseased with your horns, till all of you have scattered them abroad;
34:22 それゆえ、わたしはわが群れを助けて、再びかすめさせず、羊と羊との間をさばく。
34:22 Therefore will I save my flock, and they shall no more be a prey; and I will judge between cattle and cattle.
34:23 わたしは彼らの上にひとりの牧者を立てる。すなわちわがしもべダビデである。彼は彼らを養う。彼は彼らを養い、彼らの牧者となる。
34:23 And I will set up one shepherd over them, and he shall feed them, even my servant David; he shall feed them, and he shall be their shepherd.
34:24 主なるわたしは彼らの神となり、わがしもべダビデは彼らのうちにあって君となる。主なるわたしはこれを言う。
34:24 And I the LORD will be their God, and my servant David a prince among them; I the LORD have spoken it.
34:25 わたしは彼らと平和の契約を結び、国の内から野獣を追い払う。彼らは心を安んじて荒野に住み、森の中に眠る。
34:25 And I will make with them a covenant of peace, and will cause the evil beasts to cease out of the land: and they shall dwell safely in the wilderness, and sleep in the woods.
34:26 わたしは彼らおよびわが山の周囲の所々を祝福し、季節にしたがって雨を降らす。これは祝福の雨となる。
34:26 And I will make them and the places round about my hill a blessing; and I will cause the shower to come down in his season; there shall be showers of blessing.
34:27 野の木は実を結び、地は産物を出す。彼らは心を安んじてその国におり、わたしが彼らのくびきの棒を砕き、彼らを奴隷とした者の手から救い出す時、彼らはわたしが主であることを悟る。
34:27 And the tree of the field shall yield her fruit, and the earth shall yield her increase, and they shall be safe in their land, and shall know that I am the LORD, when I have broken the bands of their yoke, and delivered them out of the hand of those that served themselves of them.
34:28 彼らは重ねて、もろもろの国民にかすめられることなく、地の獣も彼らを食うことはない。彼らは心を安んじて住み、彼らを恐れさせる者はない。
34:28 And they shall no more be a prey to the heathen, neither shall the beast of the land devour them; but they shall dwell safely, and none shall make them afraid.
34:29 わたしは彼らのために、良い栽培所を与える。彼らは重ねて、国のききんに滅びることなく重ねて諸国民のはずかしめを受けることはない。
34:29 And I will raise up for them a plant of renown, and they shall be no more consumed with hunger in the land, neither bear the shame of the heathen any more.
34:30 彼らはその神、主なるわたしが彼らと共におり、彼らイスラエルの家が、わが民であることを悟ると、主なる神は言われる。
34:30 Thus shall they know that I the LORD their God am with them, and that they, even the house of Israel, are my people, says the Lord GOD.
34:31 あなたがたはわが羊、わが牧場の羊である。わたしはあなたがたの神であると、主なる神は言われる」。
34:31 And all of you my flock, the flock of my pasture, are men, and I am your God, says the Lord GOD.
35:1 主の言葉がわたしに臨んだ、
35:1 Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
35:2 「人の子よ、あなたの顔をセイル山に向け、これに対して預言し、
35:2 Son of man, set your face against mount Seir, and prophesy against it,
35:3 これに言え。主なる神はこう言われる、セイル山よ、見よ、わたしはあなたを敵とし、わたしの手をあなたに向かって伸べ、あなたを全く荒し、
35:3 And say unto it, Thus says the Lord GOD; Behold, O mount Seir, I am against you, and I will stretch out mine hand against you, and I will make you most desolate.
35:4 あなたの町々を滅ぼす。あなたは荒れはてる。そしてわたしが主であることを悟る。
35:4 I will lay your cities waste, and you shall be desolate, and you shall know that I am the LORD.
35:5 あなたは限りない敵意をいだいて、イスラエルの人々をその災の時、終りの刑罰の時に、つるぎの手に渡した。
35:5 Because you have had a perpetual hatred, and have shed the blood of the children of Israel by the force of the sword in the time of their calamity, in the time that their iniquity had an end:
35:6 それゆえ、主なる神は言われる、わたしは生きている。わたしはあなたを血にわたす。血はあなたを追いかける。あなたには血のとががあるゆえ、血はあなたを追いかける
35:6 Therefore, as I live, says the Lord GOD, I will prepare you unto blood, and blood shall pursue you: since you have not hated blood, even blood shall pursue you.
35:7 わたしはセイル山を全く荒し、そこに行き来する者を断ち、
35:7 Thus will I make mount Seir most desolate, and cut off from it him that passes out and him that returns.
35:8 その山々を殺された者で満たす。つるぎで殺された者が、あなたのもろもろの丘、もろもろの谷、もろもろのくぼ地に倒れる。
35:8 And I will fill his mountains with his slain men: in your hills, and in your valleys, and in all your rivers, shall they fall that are slain with the sword.
35:9 わたしはあなたを、永遠の荒れ地とし、あなたの町々には住む者がなくなる。そしてあなたがたは、わたしが主であることを悟る。
35:9 I will make you perpetual desolations, and your cities shall not return: and all of you shall know that I am the LORD.
35:10 あなたは言う、『これら二つの国民、二つの国はわたしのもの、われわれはこれを獲よう』と。しかし主はそこにおられる。
35:10 Because you have said, These two nations and these two countries shall be mine, and we will possess it; whereas the LORD was there:

35:11 Therefore, as I live, says the Lord GOD, I will even do according to yours anger, and according to yours envy which you have used out of your hatred against them; and I will make myself known among them, when I have judged you.

35:12 And you shall know that I am the LORD, and that I have heard all your blasphemies which you have spoken against the mountains of Israel, saying, They are laid desolate, they are given us to consume.
35:13 あなたがたは、わたしに対して口をもって誇り、またわたしに対して、あなたがたの言葉を多くした。わたしはそれを聞いた。
35:13 Thus with your mouth all of you have boasted against me, and have multiplied your words against me: I have heard them.
35:14 主なる神はこう言われる、全地の喜びのために、わたしはあなたを荒れ地とする。
35:14 Thus says the Lord GOD; When the whole earth rejoices, I will make you desolate.

35:15 As you did rejoice at the inheritance of the house of Israel, because it was desolate, so will I do unto you: you shall be desolate, O mount Seir, and all Idumea, even all of it: and they shall know that I am the LORD.
36:1 人の子よ、イスラエルの山々に預言して言え。イスラエルの山々よ、主の言葉を聞け。
36:1 Also, you son of man, prophesy unto the mountains of Israel, and say, All of you mountains of Israel, hear the word of the LORD:
36:2 主なる神はこう言われる、敵はあなたがたについて言う、『ああ、昔の高き所が、われわれのものとなった』と。
36:2 Thus says the Lord GOD; Because the enemy has said against you, Aha, even the ancient high places are ours in possession:
36:3 それゆえ、あなたは預言して言え。主なる神はこう言われる、彼らはあなたがたを荒し、四方からあなたがたを打ち滅ぼしたので、あなたがたは他の国民の所有となり、また民の悪いうわさとなった。
36:3 Therefore prophesy and say, Thus says the Lord GOD; Because they have made you desolate, and swallowed you up on every side, that all of you might be a possession unto the residue of the heathen, and all of you are taken up in the lips of talkers, and are an ill repute of the people:
36:4 それゆえ、イスラエルの山々よ、主なる神の言葉を聞け。主なる神は、山と、丘と、くぼ地と、谷と、滅びた荒れ跡と、人の捨てた町々、すなわちその周囲にある諸国民の残った者にかすめられ、あざけられるようになったものに、こう言われる。
36:4 Therefore, all of you mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord GOD; Thus says the Lord GOD to the mountains, and to the hills, to the rivers, and to the valleys, to the desolate wastes, and to the cities that are forsaken, which became a prey and derision to the residue of the heathen that are round about;
36:5 主なる神はこう言われる、わたしはねたみの炎をもって、他の国民とエドム全国とに対して言う、彼らは心ゆくまで喜び、心に誇ってわが地を自分の所有とし、これを奪い、かすめた者である。
36:5 Therefore thus says the Lord GOD; Surely in the fire of my jealousy have I spoken against the residue of the heathen, and against all Idumea, which have appointed my land into their possession with the joy of all their heart, with despiteful minds, to cast it out for a prey.
36:6 それゆえ、あなたはイスラエルの地の事を預言し、山と、丘と、くぼ地と、谷とに言え。主なる神はこう言われる、見よ、あなたがたは諸国民のはずかしめを受けたので、わたしはねたみと怒りとをもって語る。
36:6 Prophesy therefore concerning the land of Israel, and say unto the mountains, and to the hills, to the rivers, and to the valleys, Thus says the Lord GOD; Behold, I have spoken in my jealousy and in my fury, because all of you have borne the shame of the heathen:
36:7 それゆえ、主なる神はこう言われる、わたしは誓って言う、あなたがたの周囲の諸国民は必ずはずかしめを受ける。
36:7 Therefore thus says the Lord GOD; I have lifted up mine hand, Surely the heathen that are about you, they shall bear their shame.
36:8 しかしイスラエルの山々よ、あなたがたは枝を出し、わが民イスラエルのために実を結ぶ。この事の成るのは近い。
36:8 But all of you, O mountains of Israel, all of you shall shoot forth your branches, and yield your fruit to my people of Israel; for they are at hand to come.
36:9 見よ、わたしはあなたがたに臨み、あなたがたを顧みる。あなたがたは耕され、種をまかれる。
36:9 For, behold, I am for you, and I will turn unto you, and all of you shall be tilled and sown:
36:10 わたしはあなたがたの上に人をふやす。これはことごとくイスラエルの家の者となり、町々には人が住み、荒れ跡は建て直される。
36:10 And I will multiply men upon you, all the house of Israel, even all of it: and the cities shall be inhabited, and the wastes shall be built:
36:11 わたしはあなたがたの上に人と獣とをふやす。彼らはふえて、子を生む。わたしはあなたがたの上に、昔のように人を住ませ、初めの時よりも、まさる恵みをあなたがたに施す。その時あなたがたは、わたしが主であることを悟る。
36:11 And I will multiply upon you man and beast; and they shall increase and bring fruit: and I will settle you after your old estates, and will do better unto you than at your beginnings: and all of you shall know that I am the LORD.
36:12 わたしはわが民イスラエルの人々をあなたがたの上に歩ませる。彼らはあなたがたを所有し、あなたがたはその嗣業となり、あなたがたは重ねて彼らに子のない嘆きをさせない。
36:12 Yea, I will cause men to walk upon you, even my people Israel; and they shall possess you, and you shall be their inheritance, and you shall no more henceforth bereave them of men.
36:13 主なる神はこう言われる、彼らはあなたがたに向かって、『あなたは人を食い、あなたの民に子のない嘆きをさせる』と言う。
36:13 Thus says the Lord GOD; Because they say unto you, You land devour up men, and have bereaved your nations:

36:14 Therefore you shall devour men no more, neither bereave your nations any more, says the Lord GOD.
36:15 わたしは重ねて諸国民のはずかしめをあなたに聞かせない。あなたは重ねて、もろもろの民のはずかしめを受けることはなく、あなたの民を重ねてつまずかせることはないと、主なる神は言われる」。
36:15 Neither will I cause men to hear in you the shame of the heathen any more, neither shall you bear the reproach of the people any more, neither shall you cause your nations to fall any more, says the Lord GOD.
36:16 主の言葉がわたしに臨んだ、
36:16 Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
36:17 「人の子よ、昔、イスラエルの家が、自分の国に住んだとき、彼らはおのれのおこないとわざとをもって、これを汚した。そのおこないは、わたしの前には、汚れにある女の汚れのようであった。
36:17 Son of man, when the house of Israel dwelt in their own land, they defiled it by their own way and by their doings: their way was before me as the uncleanness of a removed woman.
36:18 彼らが国に血を流し、またその偶像をもって、国を汚したため、わたしはわが怒りを彼らの上に注ぎ、
36:18 Wherefore I poured my fury upon them for the blood that they had shed upon the land, and for their idols wherewith they had polluted it:
36:19 彼らを諸国民の中に散らしたので、彼らは国々の中に散った。わたしは彼らのおこないと、わざとにしたがって、彼らをさばいた。
36:19 And I scattered them among the heathen, and they were dispersed through the countries: according to their way and according to their doings I judged them.
36:20 彼らがその行くところの国々へ行ったとき、わが聖なる名を汚した。これは人々が彼らについて『これは主の民であるが、その国から出た者である』と言ったからである。
36:20 And when they entered unto the heathen, where they went, they profaned my holy name, when they said to them, These are the people of the LORD, and are gone forth out of his land.
36:21 しかしわたしはイスラエルの家が、その行くところの諸国民の中で汚したわが聖なる名を惜しんだ。
36:21 But I had pity for mine holy name, which the house of Israel had profaned among the heathen, where they went.
36:22 それゆえ、あなたはイスラエルの家に言え。主なる神はこう言われる、イスラエルの家よ、わたしがすることはあなたがたのためではない。それはあなたがたが行った諸国民の中で汚した、わが聖なる名のためである。
36:22 Therefore say unto the house of Israel, thus says the Lord GOD; I do not this for your sakes, O house of Israel, but for mine holy name's sake, which all of you have profaned among the heathen, where all of you went.
36:23 わたしは諸国民の中で汚されたもの、すなわち、あなたがたが彼らの中で汚した、わが大いなる名の聖なることを示す。わたしがあなたがたによって、彼らの目の前に、わたしの聖なることを示す時、諸国民はわたしが主であることを悟ると、主なる神は言われる。
36:23 And I will sanctify my great name, which was profaned among the heathen, which all of you have profaned in the midst of them; and the heathen shall know that I am the LORD, says the Lord GOD, when I shall be sanctified in you before their eyes.
36:24 わたしはあなたがたを諸国民の中から導き出し、万国から集めて、あなたがたの国に行かせる。
36:24 For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land.
36:25 わたしは清い水をあなたがたに注いで、すべての汚れから清め、またあなたがたを、すべての偶像から清める。
36:25 Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and all of you shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you.
36:26 わたしは新しい心をあなたがたに与え、新しい霊をあなたがたの内に授け、あなたがたの肉から、石の心を除いて、肉の心を与える。
36:26 A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.
36:27 わたしはまたわが霊をあなたがたのうちに置いて、わが定めに歩ませ、わがおきてを守ってこれを行わせる。
36:27 And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and all of you shall keep my judgments, and do them.
36:28 あなたがたは、わたしがあなたがたの先祖に与えた地に住んで、わが民となり、わたしはあなたがたの神となる。
36:28 And all of you shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; and all of you shall be my people, and I will be your God.
36:29 わたしはあなたがたをそのすべての汚れから救い、穀物を呼びよせてこれを増し、ききんをあなたがたに臨ませない。
36:29 I will also save you from all your uncleannesses: and I will call for the corn, and will increase it, and lay no famine upon you.
36:30 またわたしは木の実と、田畑の作物とを多くする。あなたがたは重ねて諸国民の間に、ききんのはずかしめを受けることがない。
36:30 And I will multiply the fruit of the tree, and the increase of the field, that all of you shall receive no more reproach of famine among the heathen.
36:31 その時あなたがたは自身の悪しきおこないと、良からぬわざとを覚えて、その罪と、その憎むべきこととのために、みずから恨む。
36:31 Then shall all of you remember your own evil ways, and your doings that were not good, and shall loathe yourselves in your own sight for your iniquities and for your abominations.
36:32 わたしがなすことはあなたがたのためではないと、主なる神は言われる。あなたがたはこれを知れ。イスラエルの家よ、あなたがたは自分のおこないを恥じて悔やむべきである。
36:32 Not for your sakes do I this, says the Lord GOD, be it known unto you: be ashamed and confounded for your own ways, O house of Israel.
36:33 主なる神はこう言われる、わたしは、あなたがたのすべての罪を清める日に、町々に人を住ませ、その荒れ跡を建て直す。
36:33 Thus says the Lord GOD; In the day that I shall have cleansed you from all your iniquities I will also cause you to dwell in the cities, and the wastes shall be built.
36:34 荒れた地は、行き来の人々の目に荒れ地と見えたのに引きかえて耕される。
36:34 And the desolate land shall be tilled, whereas it lay desolate in the sight of all that passed by.
36:35 そこで人々は言う、『この荒れた地は、エデンの園のようになった。荒れ、滅び、くずれた町々は、堅固になり、人の住む所となった』と。
36:35 And they shall say, This land that was desolate is become like the garden of Eden; and the waste and desolate and ruined cities are become fenced, and are inhabited.
36:36 あなたがたの周囲に残った諸国民は主なるわたしがくずれた所を建て直し、荒れた所にものを植えたということを悟るようになる。主なるわたしがこれを言い、これをなすのである。
36:36 Then the heathen that are left round about you shall know that I the LORD build the ruined places, and plant that that was desolate: I the LORD have spoken it, and I will do it.
36:37 主なる神はこう言われる、イスラエルの家は、わたしが次のことを彼らのためにするように、わたしに求めるべきである。すなわち人を群れのようにふやすこと、
36:37 Thus says the Lord GOD; I will yet for this be enquired of by the house of Israel, to do it for them; I will increase them with men like a flock.
36:38 すなわち犠牲のための群れのように、エルサレムの祝い日の群れのようにすることである。こうして荒れた町々は人の群れで満ちる。その時人々は、わたしが主であることを悟るようになる」。
36:38 As the holy flock, as the flock of Jerusalem in her solemn feasts; so shall the waste cities be filled with flocks of men: and they shall know that I am the LORD.
