1:1 Павел, Апостол Иисуса Христа по повелению Бога, Спасителя нашего, и Господа Иисуса Христа, надежды нашей,
1:1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the commandment of God our Saviour, and Lord Jesus Christ, which is our hope;
1:2 Тимофею, истинному сыну в вере: благодать, милость, мир от Бога, Отца нашего, и Христа Иисуса, Господа нашего.
1:2 Unto Timothy, my own son in the faith: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God our Father and Jesus Christ our Lord.
1:3 Отходя в Македонию, я просил тебя пребыть в Ефесе и увещевать некоторых, чтобы они не учили иному
1:3 As I besought you to abide still at Ephesus, when I went into Macedonia, that you might charge some that they teach no other doctrine,
1:4 и не занимались баснями и родословиями бесконечными, которые производят больше споры, нежели Божие назидание в вере.
1:4 Neither give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which minister questions, rather than godly edifying which is in faith: so do.
1:5 Цель же увещания есть любовь от чистого сердца и доброй совести и нелицемерной веры,
1:5 Now the end of the commandment is love (o. agape) out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith sincere:
1:6 от чего отступив, некоторые уклонились в пустословие,
1:6 From which some having miss the mark have turned aside unto vain arguments;
1:7 желая быть законоучителями, но не разумея ни того, очем говорят, ни того, что утверждают.
1:7 Desiring to be teachers of the law; understanding neither what they say, nor whereof they affirm.
1:8 А мы знаем, что закон добр, если кто законно употребляет его,
1:8 But we know that the law is good, if a man use it lawfully;
1:9 зная, что закон положен не для праведника, но длябеззаконных и непокоривых, нечестивых и грешников, развратных и оскверненных, дляоскорбителей отца и матери, для человекоубийц,
1:9 Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers,
1:10 для блудников, мужеложников, человекохищников,(клеветников, скотоложников,) лжецов, клятвопреступников, и длявсего, что противно здравому учению,
1:10 For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for men-stealers (p. slave traders, kidnappers), for liars, for promise breakers, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine;
1:11 по славному благовестию блаженного Бога, которое мне вверено.
1:11 According to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which was committed to my trust.
1:12 Благодарю давшего мне силу, Христа Иисуса, Господа нашего, что Он признал меня верным, определив на служение,
1:12 And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has enabled me, for that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry;
1:13 меня, который прежде был хулитель и гонитель и обидчик, но помилован потому, что так поступал по неведению, в неверии;
1:13 Who was before a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and prone to cause hurt: but I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief.
1:14 благодать же Господа нашего(Иисуса Христа) открылась во мне обильно с верою и любовью во Христе Иисусе.
1:14 And the grace of our Lord was exceeding abundant with faith and love (o. agape) which is in Christ Jesus.
1:15 Верно и всякого принятия достойно слово, что Христос Иисус пришел в мир спасти грешников, из которых я первый.
1:15 This is a faithful saying, (o. logos) and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.
1:16 Но для того я и помилован, чтобы Иисус Христос во мне первом показал все долготерпение, в пример тем, которые будут веровать в Него к жизни вечной.
1:16 Nevertheless for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might show forth all longsuffering, for a pattern to them which should hereafter believe on him to life everlasting.
1:17 Царю же веков нетленному, невидимому, единому премудрому Богу честь и слава во веки веков. Аминь.
1:17 Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen.
1:18 Преподаю тебе, сын мой Тимофей, сообразно с бывшими о тебе пророчествами, такое завещание, чтобы ты воинствовал согласно с ними, как добрый воин,
1:18 This charge I commit unto you, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on you, that you by them might war a good warfare;
1:19 имея веру и добрую совесть, которую некоторые отвергнув, потерпели кораблекрушение в вере;
1:19 Holding faith, and a good conscience; which some having put away concerning faith have made shipwreck:
1:20 таковы Именей и Александр, которых я предал сатане, чтобы они научились не богохульствовать.
1:20 Of whom is Hymenaeus and Alexander; whom I have delivered unto Satan, that they may learn not to blaspheme.
2:1 Итак прежде всего прошу совершать молитвы, прошения, моления, благодарения за всех человеков,
2:1 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;
2:2 за царей и за всех начальствующих, дабы проводить нам жизнь тихую и безмятежную во всяком благочестии и чистоте,
2:2 For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.
2:3 ибо это хорошо и угодно Спасителю нашему Богу,
2:3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;
2:4 Который хочет, чтобы все люди спаслись и достигли познания истины.
2:4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.
2:5 Ибо един Бог, един и посредник между Богом и человеками, человек Христос Иисус,
2:5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
2:6 предавший Себя для искупления всех. Таково было в свое времясвидетельство,
2:6 Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.
2:7 для которого я поставлен проповедником и Апостолом, – истину говорю во Христе, не лгу, – учителем язычников в вере и истине.
2:7 Unto which I am ordained a preacher, and an apostle, (I speak the truth in Christ, and lie not;) a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and verity.
2:8 Итак желаю, чтобы на всяком месте произносили молитвы мужи, воздевая чистые руки без гнева исомнения;
2:8 I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.
2:9 чтобы также и жены, в приличном одеянии, со стыдливостью и целомудрием, украшали себя не плетением волос , не золотом, не жемчугом, не многоценною одеждою,
2:9 In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with reverence and sobriety; not with braided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array;
2:10 но добрыми делами, как прилично женам, посвящающим себя благочестию.
2:10 But (which becomes women professing godliness) with good works.
2:11 Жена да учится в безмолвии, со всякою покорностью;
2:11 Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection.
2:12 а учить жене не позволяю, ни властвовать над мужем, но быть в безмолвии.
2:12 But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.
2:13 Ибо прежде создан Адам, а потом Ева;
2:13 For Adam was first formed, then Eve.
2:14 и не Адам прельщен; но жена, прельстившись, впала в преступление;
2:14 And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.
2:15 впрочем спасется через чадородие, если пребудет ввере и любви и в святости с целомудрием.
2:15 Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and love (o. agape) and holiness with sobriety.
3:1 Верно слово: если кто епископства желает, доброго дела желает.
3:1 This is a true saying, (o. logos) If a man desire the office of a bishop, he desires a good work.
3:2 Но епископ должен быть непорочен, одной жены муж, трезв, целомудрен, благочинен, честен, страннолюбив, учителен,
3:2 A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, able to teach;
3:3 не пьяница, не бийца, не сварлив, не корыстолюбив, но тих, миролюбив, не сребролюбив,
3:3 Not given to wine, not an attacker, not greedy of filthy illegal gain; but patient, not a brawler, not covetous;
3:4 хорошо управляющий домом своим, детей содержащий впослушании со всякою честностью;
3:4 One that rules well his own house, having his children in subjection with all gravity;
3:5 ибо, кто не умеет управлять собственным домом, тот будет ли пещись о Церкви Божией?
3:5 (For if a man know not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God?)
3:6 Не должен быть из новообращенных, чтобы не возгордился и не подпал осуждению с диаволом.
3:6 Not a novice, lest being lifted up with pride he fall into the condemnation of the devil.
3:7 Надлежит ему также иметь доброе свидетельство от внешних, чтобы не впасть в нарекание и сеть диавольскую.
3:7 Moreover he must have a good report of them which are without; lest he fall into reproach and the snare of the devil.
3:8 Диаконы также должны быть честны, не двоязычны, не пристрастны к вину, не корыстолюбивы,
3:8 Likewise must the deacons be grave, not double-tongued, not given to much wine, not greedy of filthy illegal gain;
3:9 хранящие таинство веры в чистой совести.
3:9 Holding the mystery of the faith in a pure conscience.
3:10 И таких надобно прежде испытывать, потом, если беспорочны, допускать до служения.
3:10 And let these also first be proved; then let them use the office of a deacon, being found blameless.
3:11 Равно и жены их должны быть честны, не клеветницы, трезвы, верны во всем.
3:11 Even so must their wives be grave, not slanderers, sober, faithful in all things.
3:12 Диакон должен быть муж одной жены, хорошо управляющий детьми и домом своим.
3:12 Let the deacons be the husbands of one wife, ruling their children and their own houses well.
3:13 Ибо хорошо служившие приготовляют себе высшую степень и великое дерзновение в вере во Христа Иисуса.
3:13 For they that have used the office of a deacon well purchase to themselves a good degree, and great boldness in the faith which is in Christ Jesus.
3:14 Сие пишу тебе, надеясь вскоре придти к тебе,
3:14 These things write I unto you, hoping to come unto you shortly:
3:15 чтобы, если замедлю, ты знал, как должно поступать в доме Божием, который есть Церковь Бога живаго, столп и утверждение истины.
3:15 But if I tarry long, that you may know how you ought to behave yourself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.
3:16 И беспрекословно – великая благочестия тайна: Бог явился во плоти, оправдал Себя в Духе, показал Себя Ангелам, проповедан в народах, принят верою в мире, вознесся во славе.
3:16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, (o. pneuma) seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.
4:1 Дух же ясно говорит, что в последние времена отступят некоторые от веры, внимая духам обольстителям и учениямбесовским,
4:1 Now the Spirit (o. pneuma) speaks expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, (o. pneuma) and doctrines of devils;
4:2 через лицемерие лжесловесников, сожженных в совести своей,
4:2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;
4:3 запрещающих вступать в брак и употреблять в пищу то, что Бог сотворил, дабы верные и познавшие истину вкушали с благодарением.
4:3 Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God has created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.
4:4 Ибо всякое творение Божие хорошо, и ничто не предосудительно, еслипринимается с благодарением,
4:4 For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving:
4:5 потому что освящается словом Божиим и молитвою.
4:5 For it is sanctified by the word (o. logos) of God and prayer.
4:6 Внушая сие братиям, будешь добрый служитель ИисусаХриста, питаемый словами веры и добрым учением, которому ты последовал.
4:6 If you put the brethren in remembrance of these things, you shall be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished up in the words (o. logos) of faith and of good doctrine, unto which you have attained.
4:7 Негодных же и бабьих басен отвращайся, а упражняй себя в благочестии,
4:7 But refuse profane and old wives' fables, and exercise yourself rather unto godliness.
4:8 ибо телесное упражнение мало полезно, а благочестие на все полезно, имея обетование жизни настоящей и будущей.
4:8 For bodily exercise profits little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.
4:9 Слово сие верно и всякого принятия достойно.
4:9 This is a faithful saying (o. logos) and worthy of all acceptation.
4:10 Ибо мы для того и трудимся и поношения терпим, что уповаем на Бога живаго, Который есть Спаситель всех человеков, а наипаче верных.
4:10 For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe.
4:11 Проповедуй сие и учи.
4:11 These things command and teach.
4:12 Никто да не пренебрегает юностью твоею; но будь образцом для верных в слове, в житии, в любви, в духе, в вере, в чистоте.
4:12 Let no man despise your youth; but be you an example of the believers, in word, (o. logos) in conversation, in love, (o. agape) in spirit, (o. pneuma) in faith, in purity.
4:13 Доколе не приду, занимайся чтением, наставлением, учением.
4:13 Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine.
4:14 Не неради о пребывающем в тебе даровании, которое дано тебе по пророчеству с возложением рук священства.
4:14 Neglect not the gift that is in you, which was given you by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery.
4:15 О сем заботься, в сем пребывай, дабы успех твой для всех был очевиден.
4:15 Meditate upon these things; give yourself wholly to them; that your profiting may appear to all.
4:16 Вникай в себя и в учение; занимайся сим постоянно: ибо, так поступая, и себя спасешь и слушающих тебя.
4:16 Take heed unto yourself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this you shall both save yourself, and them that hear you.
5:1 Старца не укоряй, но увещевай, как отца; младших, как братьев;
5:1 Rebuke not an elder, but implore him as a father; and the younger men as brethren;
5:2 стариц, как матерей; молодых, как сестер, со всякою чистотою.
5:2 The elder women as mothers; the younger as sisters, with all purity.
5:3 Вдовиц почитай, истинных вдовиц.
5:3 Honour widows that are widows indeed.
5:4 Если же какая вдовица имеет детей или внучат, то онипрежде пусть учатся почитать свою семью и воздавать должное родителям, ибо сие угодно Богу.
5:4 But if any widow have children or nephews, let them learn first to show piety at home, and to requite their parents: for that is good and acceptable before God.
5:5 Истинная вдовица и одинокая надеется на Бога и пребывает в молениях и молитвах день и ночь;
5:5 Now she that is a widow indeed, and desolate, trusts in God, and continues in supplications and prayers night and day.
5:6 а сластолюбивая заживо умерла.
5:6 But she that lives in pleasure is dead while she lives.
5:7 И сие внушай им, чтобы были беспорочны.
5:7 And these things give in charge, that they may be blameless.
5:8 Если же кто о своих и особенно о домашних не печется, тот отрекся от веры и хуже неверного.
5:8 But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he has denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.
5:9 Вдовица должна быть избираема не менее, как шестидесятилетняя, бывшая женою одного мужа,
5:9 Let not a widow be taken into the number under threescore years old, having been the wife of one man.
5:10 известная по добрым делам, если она воспитала детей, принимала странников, умывала ноги святым, помогала бедствующим и была усердна ко всякому доброму делу.
5:10 Well reported of for good works; if she have brought up children, if she have lodged strangers, if she have washed the saints' feet, if she have relieved the afflicted, if she have diligently followed every good work.
5:11 Молодых же вдовиц не принимай, ибо они,впадая в роскошь в противность Христу, желают вступать вбрак.
5:11 But the younger widows refuse: for when they have begun to wax wanton against Christ, they will marry;
5:12 Они подлежат осуждению, потому что отвергли прежнюю веру;
5:12 Having damnation, because they have cast off their first faith.
5:13 притом же они, будучи праздны, приучаются ходить по домам и бывают не только праздны, но и болтливы, любопытны, и говорят, чего не должно.
5:13 And likewise they learn to be idle, wandering about from house to house; and not only idle, but gossiping also and busybodies, speaking things which they ought not.
5:14 Итак я желаю, чтобы молодые вдовы вступали в брак, рождали детей, управляли домом и не подавали противнику никакого повода кзлоречию;
5:14 I will therefore that the younger women marry, bear children, guide the house, give none occasion to the adversary to speak reproachfully.
5:15 ибо некоторые уже совратились вслед сатаны.
5:15 For some are already turned aside after Satan.
5:16 Если какой верный или верная имеет вдов, то должны их довольствовать и не обременять Церкви, чтобы она могла довольствовать истинных вдовиц.
5:16 If any man or woman that believes have widows, let them relieve them, and let not the church be charged; that it may relieve them that are widows indeed.
5:17 Достойно начальствующим пресвитерам должно оказывать сугубую честь, особенно тем, которые трудятся в слове и учении.
5:17 Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honour, especially they who labour in the word (o. logos) and doctrine.
5:18 Ибо Писание говорит: не заграждай рта у вола молотящего; и: трудящийся достоин награды своей.
5:18 For the scripture says, You shall not suppress the ox that treads out the corn. And, The labourer is worthy of his reward.
5:19 Обвинение на пресвитера не иначе принимай, как при двух или трех свидетелях.
5:19 Against an elder receive not an accusation, but before two or three witnesses.
5:20 Согрешающих обличай перед всеми, чтобы и прочие страх имели.
5:20 Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear.
5:21 Пред Богом и Господом Иисусом Христом и избранными Ангелами заклинаю тебя сохранить сие без предубеждения, ничего не делая по пристрастию.
5:21 I charge you before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, and the elect angels, that you observe these things without preferring one before another, doing nothing by partiality.
5:22 Рук ни на кого не возлагай поспешно, и не делайся участником в чужих грехах. Храни себя чистым.
5:22 Lay hands suddenly on no man, neither be partaker of other men's sins: keep yourself pure.
5:23 Впредь пей не одну воду, но употребляй немного вина, ради желудка твоего и частых твоих недугов.
5:23 Drink no longer water, but use a little wine for your stomach's sake and yours often infirmities.
5:24 Грехи некоторых людей явны и прямо ведутк осуждению, а некоторых открываются впоследствии.
5:24 Some men's sins are open beforehand, going before to judgment; and some men they follow after.
5:25 Равным образом и добрые дела явны; а если и не таковы, скрыться не могут.
5:25 Likewise also the good works of some are manifest beforehand; and they that are otherwise cannot be hid.
6:1 Рабы, под игом находящиеся, должны почитать господ своих достойными всякой чести, дабы не было хулы на имя Божие и учение.
6:1 Let as many servants as are under the yoke count their own masters worthy of all honour, that the name of God and his doctrine be not blasphemed.
6:2 Те, которые имеют господами верных, не должны обращаться с ними небрежно, потому что они братья; но тем более должны служить им, что они верные и возлюбленные и благодетельствуют им . Учи сему и увещевай.
6:2 And they that have believing masters, let them not despise them, because they are brethren; but rather do them service, because they are faithful and beloved, partakers of the benefit. These things teach and exhort.
6:3 Кто учит иному и не следует здравым словам Господа нашего Иисуса Христа и учению о благочестии,
6:3 If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, (o. logos) even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness;
6:4 тот горд, ничего не знает, но заражен страстью к состязаниям и словопрениям, от которых происходят зависть, распри, злоречия, лукавые подозрения.
6:4 He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof comes envy, strife, railings, evil questionings,
6:5 Пустые споры между людьми поврежденного ума, чуждыми истины, которые думают, будто благочестие служитдля прибытка. Удаляйся от таких.
6:5 Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw yourself.
6:6 Великое приобретение – быть благочестивым и довольным.
6:6 But godliness with contentment is great gain.
6:7 Ибо мы ничего не принесли в мир; явно, что ничего не можем и вынести из него .
6:7 For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.
6:8 Имея пропитание и одежду, будем довольны тем.
6:8 And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.
6:9 А желающие обогащаться впадают в искушение и в сеть и во многие безрассудные и вредные похоти, которые погружают людей в бедствие и пагубу;
6:9 But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.
6:10 ибо корень всех зол есть сребролюбие, которому предавшись, некоторые уклонились от веры и сами себяподвергли многим скорбям.
6:10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
6:11 Ты же, человек Божий, убегай сего, а преуспевай в правде, благочестии, вере, любви, терпении, кротости.
6:11 But you, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, (o. agape) patience, meekness.
6:12 Подвизайся добрым подвигом веры, держись вечной жизни, к которой ты и призван, и исповедал доброе исповедание перед многими свидетелями.
6:12 Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, unto which you are also called, and have professed a good profession before many witnesses.
6:13 Пред Богом, все животворящим, и пред Христом Иисусом, Который засвидетельствовал пред Понтием Пилатом доброе исповедание, завещеваю тебе
6:13 I give you charge in the sight of God, who replenishes life to all things, and before Christ Jesus, who before Pontius Pilate witnessed a good confession;
6:14 соблюсти заповедь чисто и неукоризненно, даже до явления Господа нашего Иисуса Христа,
6:14 That you keep this commandment without spot, blameless, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ:
6:15 которое в свое время откроет блаженный и единый сильный Царь царствующих и Господь господствующих,
6:15 Which in his times he shall show, who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords;
6:16 единый имеющий бессмертие, Который обитает в неприступном свете, Которого никто из человеков не видел и видеть не может. Ему честь и держава вечная! Аминь.
6:16 Who only has immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; whom no man has seen, nor can see: to whom be honour and power everlasting. Amen.
6:17 Богатых в настоящем веке увещевай, чтобы они не высоко думали о себе и уповали не набогатство неверное, но на Бога живаго, дающего нам все обильно для наслаждения;
6:17 Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not high-minded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who gives us richly all things to enjoy;
6:18 чтобы они благодетельствовали, богатели добрыми делами, были щедры и общительны,
6:18 That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate;
6:19 собирая себе сокровище, доброе основание для будущего, чтобы достигнуть вечной жизни.
6:19 Laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.
6:20 О, Тимофей! храни преданное тебе, отвращаясь негодного пустословия и прекословий лжеименного знания,
6:20 O Timothy, keep that which is committed to your trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called:
6:21 которому предавшись, некоторые уклонились от веры. Благодать с тобою. Аминь.
6:21 Which some professing have erred concerning the faith. Grace be with you. Amen.

1:1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, according to the promise of life which is in Christ Jesus,
1:2 Тимофею, возлюбленному сыну: благодать, милость, мир от Бога Отца и Христа Иисуса, Господа нашего.
1:2 To Timothy, my dearly beloved son: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord.
1:3 Благодарю Бога, Которому служу от прародителей с чистою совестью, что непрестанно вспоминаю о тебе в молитвах моих днем и ночью,
1:3 I thank God, whom I serve from my forefathers with pure conscience, that without ceasing I have remembrance of you in my prayers night and day;
1:4 и желаю видеть тебя, вспоминая о слезах твоих, дабы мне исполниться радости,
1:4 Greatly desiring to see you, being mindful of your tears, that I may be filled with joy;
1:5 приводя на память нелицемерную веру твою, которая прежде обитала в бабке твоей Лоиде и матери твоей Евнике; уверен, что она и в тебе.
1:5 When I call to remembrance the sincere faith that is in you, which dwelt first in your grandmother Lois, and your mother Eunice; and I am persuaded that in you also.
1:6 По сей причине напоминаю тебе возгревать дар Божий, который в тебе через мое рукоположение;
1:6 Wherefore I put you in remembrance that you stir up the gift of God, which is in you by the putting on of my hands.
1:7 ибо дал нам Бог духа не боязни, но силы и любви и целомудрия.
1:7 For God has not given us the spirit (o. pneuma) of fear; but of power, and of love, (o. agape) and of a sound mind.
1:8 Итак, не стыдись свидетельства Господа нашего Иисуса Христа, ни меня, узника Его; но страдай с благовестием Христовымсилою Бога,
1:8 Be not you therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be you partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God;
1:9 спасшего нас и призвавшего званием святым, не по делам нашим, но по Своему изволению и благодати, данной нам во Христе Иисусе прежде вековых времен,
1:9 Who has saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,
1:10 открывшейся же ныне явлением Спасителя нашего Иисуса Христа, разрушившего смерть и явившего жизнь и нетлениечерез благовестие,
1:10 But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who has abolished death, and has brought life and immortality to light through the gospel:
1:11 для которого я поставлен проповедником и Апостолом иучителем язычников.
1:11 Unto which I am appointed a preacher, and an apostle, and a teacher of the Gentiles.
1:12 По сей причине я и страдаю так; но не стыжусь. Ибо я знаю, в Кого уверовал, и уверен, что Он силен сохранить залог мой на оный день.
1:12 For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.
1:13 Держись образца здравого учения, которое ты слышал от меня, с верою и любовью во Христе Иисусе.
1:13 Hold fast the form of sound words, (o. logos) which you have heard of me, in faith and love (o. agape) which is in Christ Jesus.
1:14 Храни добрый залог Духом Святым, живущим в нас.
1:14 That good thing which was committed unto you keep by the Holy Spirit (o. pneuma) which dwells in us.
1:15 Ты знаешь, что все Асийские оставили меня; в числе их Фигелл и Ермоген.
1:15 This you know, that all they which are in Asia be turned away from me; of whom are Phygellus and Hermogenes.
1:16 Да даст Господь милость дому Онисифора за то, что он многократно покоил меня и не стыдился уз моих,
1:16 The Lord give mercy unto the house of Onesiphorus; for he often refreshed me, and was not ashamed of my chain:
1:17 но, быв в Риме, с великим тщанием искал меня и нашел.
1:17 But, when he was in Rome, he sought me out very diligently, and found me.
1:18 Да даст ему Господь обрести милость у Господа в оный день; а сколько он служил мне в Ефесе, ты лучше знаешь.
1:18 The Lord grant unto him that he may find mercy of the Lord in that day: and in how many things he ministered unto me at Ephesus, you know very well.
2:1 Итак укрепляйся, сын мой, в благодати Христом Иисусом,
2:1 You therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.
2:2 и что слышал от меня при многих свидетелях, то передай верным людям, которые были бы способны и других научить.
2:2 And the things that you have heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit you to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.
2:3 Итак переноси страдания, как добрый воин Иисуса Христа.
2:3 You therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.
2:4 Никакой воин не связывает себя деламижитейскими, чтобы угодить военачальнику.
2:4 No man that wars entangles himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who has chosen him to be a soldier.
2:5 Если же кто и подвизается, не увенчивается, если незаконно будет подвизаться.
2:5 And if a man also strive for masteries, yet is he not crowned, except he strive lawfully.
2:6 Трудящемуся земледельцу первому должно вкусить от плодов.
2:6 The farmer that labours must be first partaker of the fruits.
2:7 Разумей, что я говорю. Да даст тебе Господь разумение во всем.
2:7 Consider what I say; and the Lord give you understanding in all things.
2:8 Помни Господа Иисуса Христа от семени Давидова, воскресшего из мертвых, по благовествованию моему,
2:8 Remember that Jesus Christ of the seed of David was raised from the dead according to my gospel:
2:9 за которое я страдаю даже до уз, какзлодей; но для слова Божия нет уз.
2:9 Wherein I suffer trouble, as an evil doer, even unto bonds; but the word (o. logos) of God is not bound.
2:10 Посему я все терплю ради избранных, дабы и они получили спасение во Христе Иисусе с вечною славою.
2:10 Therefore I endure all things for the elect's sakes, that they may also obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory.
2:11 Верно слово: если мы с Ним умерли, то с Ним и оживем;
2:11 It is a faithful saying: (o. logos) For if we be dead with him, we shall also live with him:
2:12 если терпим, то с Ним и царствоватьбудем; если отречемся, и Он отречется от нас;
2:12 If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us:
2:13 если мы неверны, Он пребывает верен, ибо Себя отречься не может.
2:13 If we believe not, yet he abides faithful: he cannot deny himself.
2:14 Сие напоминай, заклиная пред Господом не вступать в словопрения, что нимало не служит к пользе,а к расстройству слушающих.
2:14 Of these things put them in remembrance, charging them before the Lord that they strive not about words to no profit, but to the subverting of the hearers.
2:15 Старайся представить себя Богу достойным, делателем неукоризненным, верно преподающим слово истины.
2:15 Study to show yourself approved unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word (o. logos) of truth.
2:16 А непотребного пустословия удаляйся; ибо они еще более будут преуспевать в нечестии,
2:16 But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness.
2:17 и слово их, как рак, будет распространяться. Таковы Именей и Филит,
2:17 And their word (o. logos) will eat as does a canker: of whom is Hymenaeus and Philetus;
2:18 которые отступили от истины, говоря, что воскресение уже было, и разрушают в некоторых веру.
2:18 Who concerning the truth have erred, saying that the resurrection is past already; and overthrow the faith of some.
2:19 Но твердое основание Божие стоит, имея печать сию: „познал Господь Своих"; и: „да отступит от неправды всякий, исповедующий имя Господа".
2:19 Nevertheless the foundation of God stands sure, having this seal, The Lord knows them that are his. And, Let every one that names the name of Christ depart from iniquity.
2:20 А в большом доме есть сосуды не только золотые и серебряные, но и деревянные и глиняные; и одни в почетном, а другие в низком употреблении.
2:20 But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour.
2:21 Итак, кто будет чист от сего, тот будет сосудом в чести, освященным и благопотребным Владыке, годным на всякое доброе дело.
2:21 If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work.
2:22 Юношеских похотей убегай, а держись правды, веры,любви, мира со всеми призывающими Господа от чистого сердца.
2:22 Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, love, (o. agape) peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
2:23 От глупых и невежественных состязаний уклоняйся, зная, что они рождают ссоры;
2:23 But foolish and unlearned questions avoid, knowing that they do gender strifes.
2:24 рабу же Господа не должно ссориться, но быть приветливым ко всем, учительным, незлобивым,
2:24 And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, able to teach, patient,
2:25 с кротостью наставлять противников, не даст ли им Бог покаяния к познанию истины,
2:25 In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God possibly will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;
2:26 чтобы они освободились от сети диавола, который уловил их в свою волю.
2:26 And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.
3:1 Знай же, что в последние дни наступят времена тяжкие.
3:1 This know also, that in the last days dangerous times shall come.
3:2 Ибо люди будут самолюбивы, сребролюбивы, горды, надменны, злоречивы, родителям непокорны, неблагодарны, нечестивы, недружелюбны,
3:2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
3:3 непримирительны, клеветники, невоздержны, жестоки, не любящие добра,
3:3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
3:4 предатели, наглы, напыщенны, более сластолюбивы, нежели боголюбивы,
3:4 Traitors, rebellious, high-minded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
3:5 имеющие вид благочестия, силы же его отрекшиеся. Таковых удаляйся.
3:5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
3:6 К сим принадлежат те, которые вкрадываются в домы и обольщают женщин, утопающих во грехах, водимых различными похотями,
3:6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,
3:7 всегда учащихся и никогда не могущих дойти до познания истины.
3:7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
3:8 Как Ианний и Иамврий противились Моисею, так и сии противятся истине, люди, развращенные умом, невежды в вере.
3:8 Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith.
3:9 Но они не много успеют; ибо их безумие обнаружится перед всеми, как и с теми случилось.
3:9 But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as their's also was.
3:10 А ты последовал мне в учении, житии, расположении, вере, великодушии, любви, терпении,
3:10 But you have fully known my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, love, (o. agape) patience,
3:11 в гонениях, страданиях, постигших меня в Антиохии, Иконии, Листрах; каковые гонения я перенес, и от всех избавилменя Господь.
3:11 Persecutions, afflictions, which came unto me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured: but out of them all the Lord delivered me.
3:12 Да и все, желающие жить благочестиво во Христе Иисусе, будут гонимы.
3:12 Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.
3:13 Злые же люди и обманщики будут преуспевать во зле, вводя в заблуждение и заблуждаясь.
3:13 But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.
3:14 А ты пребывай в том, чему научен и что тебе вверено, зная, кем ты научен.
3:14 But continue you in the things which you have learned and have been assured of, knowing of whom you have learned them;
3:15 Притом же ты из детства знаешь священные писания, которые могут умудрить тебя во спасение верою во Христа Иисуса.
3:15 And that from a child you have known the holy scriptures, which are able to make you wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
3:16 Все Писание богодухновенно и полезно для научения, для обличения, для исправления, для наставления в праведности,
3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
3:17 да будет совершен Божий человек, ко всякому доброму делу приготовлен.
3:17 That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.
4:1 Итак заклинаю тебя пред Богом и Господом нашим Иисусом Христом, Который будет судить живых и мертвых вявление Его и Царствие Его:
4:1 I charge you therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;
4:2 проповедуй слово, настой во время и не во время, обличай, запрещай, увещевай со всяким долготерпением и назиданием.
4:2 Preach the word; (o. logos) be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.
4:3 Ибо будет время, когда здравого учения принимать не будут, но по своим прихотям будут избирать себе учителей, которые льстили бы слуху;
4:3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
4:4 и от истины отвратят слух и обратятся к басням.
4:4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
4:5 Но ты будь бдителен во всем, переноси скорби, совершай дело благовестника, исполняй служение твое.
4:5 But watch you in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of your ministry.
4:6 Ибо я уже становлюсь жертвою, и время моего отшествия настало.
4:6 For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand.
4:7 Подвигом добрым я подвизался, течение совершил, веру сохранил;
4:7 I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:
4:8 а теперь готовится мне венец правды, который даст мне Господь, праведный Судия, в день оный; и не только мне, но и всем, возлюбившим явление Его.
4:8 Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.
4:9 Постарайся придти ко мне скоро.
4:9 Do your diligence to come shortly unto me:
4:10 Ибо Димас оставил меня, возлюбив нынешний век, и пошел в Фессалонику, Крискент в Галатию, Тит в Далматию; один Лука со мною.
4:10 For Demas has forsaken me, having loved this present world, and is departed unto Thessalonica; Crescens to Galatia, Titus unto Dalmatia.
4:11 Марка возьми и приведи с собою, ибо он мне нужен для служения.
4:11 Only Luke is with me. Take Mark, and bring him with you: for he is profitable to me for the ministry.
4:12 Тихика я послал в Ефес.
4:12 And Tychicus have I sent to Ephesus.
4:13 Когда пойдешь, принеси фелонь, который я оставил в Троаде у Карпа, и книги, особенно кожаные.
4:13 The coat that I left at Troas with Carpus, when you come, bring with you, and the books, but especially the parchments.
4:14 Александр медник много сделал мне зла. Да воздаст ему Господь по делам его!
4:14 Alexander the coppersmith did me much evil: the Lord reward him according to his works:
4:15 Берегись его и ты, ибо он сильно противился нашим словам.
4:15 Of whom be you ware also; for he has greatly withstood our words. (o. logos)
4:16 При первом моем ответе никого не было со мною, но все меня оставили. Да не вменится им!
4:16 At my first answer no man stood with me, but all men forsook me: I pray God that it may not be laid to their charge.
4:17 Господь же предстал мне и укрепил меня, дабы через меня утвердилось благовестие и услышали все язычники; и я избавился из львиных челюстей.
4:17 Notwithstanding the Lord stood with me, and strengthened me; that by me the preaching might be fully known, and that all the Gentiles might hear: and I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion.
4:18 И избавит меня Господь от всякого злого дела и сохранит для Своего Небесного Царства, Ему слава во веки веков. Аминь.
4:18 And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
4:19 Приветствуй Прискиллу и Акилу и дом Онисифоров.
4:19 Salute Prisca and Aquila, and the household of Onesiphorus.
4:20 Ераст остался в Коринфе; Трофима же я оставил больного в Милите.
4:20 Erastus abode at Corinth: but Trophimus have I left at Miletum sick.
4:21 Постарайся придти до зимы. Приветствуют тебя Еввул, и Пуд, и Лин, и Клавдия, и все братия.
4:21 Do your diligence to come before winter. Eubulus greets you, and Pudens, and Linus, and Claudia, and all the brethren.
4:22 Господь Иисус Христос со духом твоим. Благодать с вами. Аминь.
4:22 The Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. (o. pneuma) Grace be with you. Amen.
