1:1 ダリヨスの第二年の八月に、主の言葉がイドの子ベレキヤの子である預言者ゼカリヤに臨んだ、
1:1 In the eighth month, in the second year of Darius, came the word of the LORD unto Zechariah, the son of Berechiah, the son of Iddo the prophet, saying,
1:2 「主はあなたがたの先祖たちに対して、いたくお怒りになった。
1:2 The LORD has been sore displeased with your fathers.
1:3 それゆえ、万軍の主はこう仰せられると、彼らに告げよ。万軍の主は仰せられる、わたしに帰れ、そうすれば、わたしもあなたがたに帰ろうと、万軍の主は仰せられる。
1:3 Therefore say you unto them, Thus says the LORD of hosts; Turn all of you unto me, says the LORD of hosts, and I will turn unto you, says the LORD of hosts.
1:4 あなたがたの先祖たちのようであってはならない。先の預言者たちは、彼らにむかって叫んで言った、『万軍の主はこう仰せられる、悪い道を離れ、悪いおこないを捨てて帰れ』と。しかし彼らは聞きいれず、耳をわたしに傾けなかったと主は言われる。
1:4 Be all of you not as your fathers, unto whom the former prophets have cried, saying, Thus says the LORD of hosts; Turn all of you now from your evil ways, and from your evil doings: but they did not hear, nor hearken unto me, says the LORD.
1:5 あなたがたの先祖たち、彼らはどこにいるか。預言者たち、彼らは永遠に生きているのか。
1:5 Your fathers, where are they? and the prophets, do they live for ever?
1:6 しかしわたしのしもべである預言者たちに命じたわが言葉と、わが定めとは、あなたがたの先祖たちに及んだではないか。それで彼らは立ち返って言った、『万軍の主がわれわれの道にしたがい、おこないに従って、われわれに、なそうと思い定められたように、そのとおりされたのだ』と」。
1:6 But my words and my statutes, which I commanded my servants the prophets, did they not take hold of your fathers? and they returned and said, Like the LORD of hosts thought to do unto us, according to our ways, and according to our doings, so has he dealt with us.
1:7 ダリヨスの第二年の十一月、すなわちセバテという月の二十四日に、主の言葉がイドの子ベレキヤの子である預言者ゼカリヤに臨んだ。そしてゼカリヤは言った、
1:7 Upon the four and twentieth day of the eleventh month, which is the month Sebat, in the second year of Darius, came the word of the LORD unto Zechariah, the son of Berechiah, the son of Iddo the prophet, saying,
1:8 「わたしは夜、見ていると、ひとりの人が赤馬に乗って、谷間にあるミルトスの木の中に立ち、その後に赤馬、栗毛の馬、白馬がいた。
1:8 I saw by night, and behold a man riding upon a red horse, and he stood among the myrtle trees that were in the bottom; and behind him were there red horses, speckled, and white.
1:9 その時わたしが『わが主よ、これらはなんですか』と尋ねると、わたしと語る天の使は言った、『これがなんであるか、あなたに示しましょう』。
1:9 Then said I, O my lord, what are these? And the angel that talked with me said unto me, I will show you what these be.
1:10 すると、ミルトスの木の中に立っている人が答えて、『これらは地を見回らせるために、主がつかわされた者です』と言うと、
1:10 And the man that stood among the myrtle trees answered and said, These are they whom the LORD has sent to walk back and forth through the earth.
1:11 彼らは答えて、ミルトスの中に立っている主の使に言った、『われわれは地を見回ったが、全地はすべて平穏です』。
1:11 And they answered the angel of the LORD that stood among the myrtle trees, and said, We have walked back and forth through the earth, and, behold, all the earth sits still, and is at rest.
1:12 すると主の使は言った、『万軍の主よ、あなたは、いつまでエルサレムとユダの町々とを、あわれんで下さらないのですか。あなたはお怒りになって、すでに七十年になりました』。
1:12 Then the angel of the LORD answered and said, O LORD of hosts, how long will you not have mercy on Jerusalem and on the cities of Judah, against which you have had indignation these threescore and ten years?
1:13 主はわたしと語る天の使に、ねんごろな慰めの言葉をもって答えられた。
1:13 And the LORD answered the angel that talked with me with good words and comfortable words.
1:14 そこで、わたしと語る天の使は言った、『あなたは呼ばわって言いなさい。万軍の主はこう仰せられます、わたしはエルサレムのため、シオンのために、大いなるねたみを起し、
1:14 So the angel that communed with me said unto me, Cry you, saying, Thus says the LORD of hosts; I am jealous for Jerusalem and for Zion with a great jealousy.
1:15 安らかにいる国々の民に対して、大いに怒る。なぜなら、わたしが少しばかり怒ったのに、彼らは、大いにこれを悩ましたからであると。
1:15 And I am very sore displeased with the heathen that are at ease: for I was but a little displeased, and they helped forward the affliction.
1:16 それゆえ、主はこう仰せられます、わたしはあわれみをもってエルサレムに帰る。わたしの家はその中に建てられ、測りなわはエルサレムに張られると、万軍の主は仰せられます。
1:16 Therefore thus says the LORD; I am returned to Jerusalem with mercies: my house shall be built in it, says the LORD of hosts, and a line shall be stretched forth upon Jerusalem.
1:17 あなたはまた呼ばわって言いなさい。万軍の主はこう仰せられます、わが町々は再び良い物で満ちあふれ、主は再びシオンを慰め、再びエルサレムを選ぶ』と」。
1:17 Cry yet, saying, Thus says the LORD of hosts; My cities through prosperity shall yet be spread abroad; and the LORD shall yet comfort Zion, and shall yet choose Jerusalem.
1:18 わたしが目をあげて見ていると、見よ、四つの角があった。
1:18 Then lifted I up mine eyes, and saw, and behold four horns.
1:19 わたしと語る天の使に「これらはなんですか」と言うと、彼は答えて言った、「これらはユダ、イスラエルおよびエルサレムを散らした角です」。
1:19 And I said unto the angel that talked with me, What be these? And he answered me, These are the horns which have scattered Judah, Israel, and Jerusalem.
1:20 その時、主は四人の鍛冶をわたしに示された。
1:20 And the LORD showed me four carpenters.
1:21 わたしが「これらは何をするために来たのですか」と言うと、彼は答えた、「これらの角はユダを散らして、人にその頭をあげさせなかったものですが、この四人の者が来たのは彼らをおどし、かのユダの地にむかって角をあげ、これを散らした国々の民の角を投げうつためです」。
1:21 Then said I, What come these to do? And he spoke, saying, These are the horns which have scattered Judah, so that no man did lift up his head: but these are come to frighten them, to cast out the horns of the Gentiles, which lifted up their horn over the land of Judah to scatter it.
2:1 またわたしが目をあげて見ていると、見よ、ひとりの人が、測りなわを手に持っているので、
2:1 I lifted up mine eyes again, and looked, and behold a man with a measuring line in his hand.
2:2 「あなたはどこへ行くのですか」と尋ねると、その人はわたしに言った、「エルサレムを測って、その広さと、長さを見ようとするのです」。
2:2 Then said I, Where go you? And he said unto me, To measure Jerusalem, to see what is the breadth thereof, and what is the length thereof.
2:3 すると見よ、わたしと語る天の使が出て行くと、またひとりの天の使が出てきて、これに出会って、
2:3 And, behold, the angel that talked with me went forth, and another angel went out to meet him,
2:4 言った、「走って行って、あの若い人に言いなさい、『エルサレムはその中に、人と家畜が多くなるので、城壁のない村里のように、人の住む所となるでしょう。
2:4 And said unto him, Run, speak to this young man, saying, Jerusalem shall be inhabited as towns without walls for the multitude of men and cattle therein:
2:5 主は仰せられます、わたしはその周囲で火の城壁となり、その中で栄光となる』と」。
2:5 For I, says the LORD, will be unto her a wall of fire round about, and will be the glory in the midst of her.
2:6 主は仰せられる、さあ、北の地から逃げて来なさい。わたしはあなたがたを、天の四方の風のように散らしたからである。
2:6 Ho, ho, come forth, and flee from the land of the north, says the LORD: for I have spread you abroad as the four winds of the heaven, says the LORD.
2:7 さあ、バビロンの娘と共にいる者よ、シオンにのがれなさい。
2:7 Deliver yourself, O Zion, that dwell with the daughter of Babylon.
2:8 あなたがたにさわる者は、彼の目の玉にさわるのであるから、あなたがたを捕えていった国々の民に、その栄光にしたがって、わたしをつかわされた万軍の主は、こう仰せられる、
2:8 For thus says the LORD of hosts; After the glory has he sent me unto the nations which spoiled you: for he that touches you touches the apple of his eye.
2:9 「見よ、わたしは彼らの上に手を振る。彼らは自分に仕えた者のとりことなる。その時あなたがたは万軍の主が、わたしをつかわされたことを知る。
2:9 For, behold, I will shake mine hand upon them, and they shall be a spoil to their servants: and all of you shall know that the LORD of hosts has sent me.
2:10 主は言われる、シオンの娘よ、喜び歌え。わたしが来て、あなたの中に住むからである。
2:10 Sing and rejoice, O daughter of Zion: for, lo, I come, and I will dwell in the midst of you, says the LORD.
2:11 その日には、多くの国民が主に連なって、わたしの民となる。わたしはあなたの中に住む。
2:11 And many nations shall be joined to the LORD in that day, and shall be my people: and I will dwell in the midst of you, and you shall know that the LORD of hosts has sent me unto you.
2:12 あなたは万軍の主が、わたしをあなたにつかわされたことを知る。主は聖地で、ユダを自分の分として取り、エルサレムを再び選ばれるであろう」。
2:12 And the LORD shall inherit Judah his portion in the holy land, and shall choose Jerusalem again.
2:13 すべて肉なる者よ、主の前に静まれ。主はその聖なるすみかから立ちあがられたからである。
2:13 Be silent, O all flesh, before the LORD: for he is raised up out of his holy habitation.
3:1 時に主は大祭司ヨシュアが、主の使の前に立ち、サタンがその右に立って、これを訴えているのをわたしに示された。
3:1 And he showed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the LORD, and Satan standing at his right hand to resist him.
3:2 主はサタンに言われた、「サタンよ、主はあなたを責めるのだ。すなわちエルサレムを選んだ主はあなたを責めるのだ。これは火の中から取り出した燃えさしではないか」。
3:2 And the LORD said unto Satan, The LORD rebuke you, O Satan; even the LORD that has chosen Jerusalem rebuke you: is not this a brand plucked out of the fire?
3:3 ヨシュアは汚れた衣を着て、み使の前に立っていたが、
3:3 Now Joshua was clothed with filthy garments, and stood before the angel.
3:4 み使は自分の前に立っている者どもに言った、「彼の汚れた衣を脱がせなさい」。またヨシュアに向かって言った、「見よ、わたしはあなたの罪を取り除いた。あなたに祭服を着せよう」。
3:4 And he answered and spoke unto those that stood before him, saying, Take away the filthy garments from him. And unto him he said, Behold, I have caused yours iniquity to pass from you, and I will clothe you with change of raiment.
3:5 わたしは言った、「清い帽子を頭にかぶらせなさい」。そこで清い帽子を頭にかぶらせ、衣を彼に着せた。主の使はかたわらに立っていた。
3:5 And I said, Let them set a fair turban upon his head. So they set a fair turban upon his head, and clothed him with garments. And the angel of the LORD stood by.
3:6 主の使は、ヨシュアを戒めて言った、
3:6 And the angel of the LORD protested unto Joshua, saying,
3:7 「万軍の主は、こう仰せられる、あなたがもし、わたしの道に歩み、わたしの務を守るならば、わたしの家をつかさどり、わたしの庭を守ることができる。わたしはまた、ここに立っている者どもの中に行き来することを得させる。
3:7 Thus says the LORD of hosts; If you will walk in my ways, and if you will keep my charge, then you shall also judge my house, and shall also keep my courts, and I will give you places to walk among these that stand by.
3:8 大祭司ヨシュアよ、あなたも、あなたの前にすわっている同僚たちも聞きなさい。彼らはよいしるしとなるべき人々だからである。見よ、わたしはわたしのしもべなる枝を生じさせよう。
3:8 Hear now, O Joshua the high priest, you, and your fellows that sit before you: for they are men wondered at: for, behold, I will bring forth my servant the BRANCH.
3:9 万軍の主は言われる、見よ、ヨシュアの前にわたしが置いた石の上に、すなわち七つの目をもっているこの一つの石の上に、わたしはみずから文字を彫刻する。そしてわたしはこの地の罪を、一日の内に取り除く。
3:9 For behold the stone that I have laid before Joshua; upon one stone shall be seven eyes: behold, I will engrave the graving thereof, says the LORD of hosts, and I will remove the iniquity of that land in one day.
3:10 万軍の主は言われる、その日には、あなたがたはめいめいその隣り人を招いて、ぶどうの木の下、いちじくの木の下に座すのである」。
3:10 In that day, says the LORD of hosts, shall all of you call every man his neighbour under the vine and under the fig tree.
4:1 わたしと語った天の使がまた来て、わたしを呼びさました。わたしは眠りから呼びさまされた人のようであった。
4:1 And the angel that talked with me came again, and waked me, as a man that is wakened out of his sleep.
4:2 彼がわたしに向かって「何を見るか」と言ったので、わたしは言った、「わたしが見ていると、すべて金で造られた燭台が一つあって、その上に油を入れる器があり、また燭台の上に七つのともしび皿があり、そのともしび皿は燭台の上にあって、これにおのおの七本ずつの管があります。
4:2 And said unto me, What see you? And I said, I have looked, and behold a candlestick all of gold, with a bowl upon the top of it, and his seven lamps thereon, and seven pipes to the seven lamps, which are upon the top thereof:
4:3 また燭台のかたわらに、オリブの木が二本あって、一本は油をいれる器の右にあり、一本はその左にあります」。
4:3 And two olive trees by it, one upon the right side of the bowl, and the other upon the left side thereof.
4:4 わたしはまたわたしと語る天の使に言った、「わが主よ、これらはなんですか」。
4:4 So I answered and spoke to the angel that talked with me, saying, What are these, my lord?
4:5 わたしと語る天の使は答えて、「あなたはそれがなんであるか知らないのですか」と言ったので、わたしは「わが主よ、知りません」と言った。
4:5 Then the angel that talked with me answered and said unto me, Know you not what these be? And I said, No, my lord.
4:6 すると彼はわたしに言った、「ゼルバベルに、主がお告げになる言葉はこれです。万軍の主は仰せられる、これは権勢によらず、能力によらず、わたしの霊によるのである。
4:6 Then he answered and spoke unto me, saying, This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, says the LORD of hosts.
4:7 大いなる山よ、おまえは何者か。おまえはゼルバベルの前に平地となる。彼は『恵みあれ、これに恵みあれ』と呼ばわりながら、かしら石を引き出すであろう」。
4:7 Who are you, O great mountain? before Zerubbabel you shall become a plain: and he shall bring forth the headstone thereof with shoutings, crying, Grace, grace unto it.
4:8 主の言葉がわたしに臨んで言うには、
4:8 Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
4:9 「ゼルバベルの手はこの宮の礎をすえた。彼の手はこれを完成する。その時あなたがたは万軍の主が、わたしをあなたがたにつかわされたことを知る。
4:9 The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this house; his hands shall also finish it; and you shall know that the LORD of hosts has sent me unto you.
4:10 だれでも小さい事の日をいやしめた者は、ゼルバベルの手に、下げ振りのあるのを見て、喜ぶ。これらの七つのものは、あまねく全地を行き来する主の目である」。
4:10 For who has despised the day of small things? for they shall rejoice, and shall see the plummet in the hand of Zerubbabel with those seven; they are the eyes of the LORD, which run back and forth through the whole earth.
4:11 わたしはまた彼に尋ねて、「燭台の左右にある、この二本のオリブの木はなんですか」と言い、
4:11 Then answered I, and said unto him, What are these two olive trees upon the right side of the candlestick and upon the left side thereof?
4:12 重ねてまた「この二本の金の管によって、油をそれから注ぎ出すオリブの二枝はなんですか」と言うと、
4:12 And I answered again, and said unto him, What be these two olive branches which through the two golden pipes empty the golden oil out of themselves?
4:13 彼はわたしに答えて、「あなたはそれがなんであるか知らないのですか」と言ったので、「わが主よ、知りません」と言った。
4:13 And he answered me and said, Know you not what these be? And I said, No, my lord.
4:14 すると彼は言った、「これらはふたりの油そそがれた者で、全地の主のかたわらに立つ者です」。
4:14 Then said he, These are the two anointed ones, that stand by the LORD of the whole earth.
5:1 わたしがまた目をあげて見ていると、飛んでいる巻物を見た。
5:1 Then I turned, and lifted up mine eyes, and looked, and behold a flying roll.
5:2 彼がわたしに「何を見るか」と言ったので、「飛んでいる巻物を見ます。その長さは二十キュビト、その幅は十キュビトです」と答えた。
5:2 And he said unto me, What see you? And I answered, I see a flying roll; the length thereof is twenty cubits, and the breadth thereof ten cubits.
5:3 すると彼はまた、わたしに言った、「これは全地のおもてに出て行く、のろいの言葉です。すべて盗む者はこれに照して除き去られ、すべて偽り誓う者は、これに照して除き去られるのです。
5:3 Then said he unto me, This is the curse that goes forth over the face of the whole earth: for every one that steals shall be cut off as on this side according to it; and every one that swears shall be cut off as on that side according to it.
5:4 万軍の主は仰せられます、わたしはこれを出て行かせる。これは盗む者の家に入り、またわたしの名をさして偽り誓う者の家に入り、その家の中に宿って、これをその木と石と共に滅ぼすと」。
5:4 I will bring it forth, says the LORD of hosts, and it shall enter into the house of the thief, and into the house of him that swears falsely by my name: and it shall remain in the midst of his house, and shall consume it with the timber thereof and the stones thereof.
5:5 わたしと語る天の使は進んで来て、わたしに「目をあげて、この出てきた物が、なんであるかを見なさい」と言った。
5:5 Then the angel that talked with me went forth, and said unto me, Lift up now yours eyes, and see what is this that goes forth.
5:6 わたしが「これはなんですか」と言うと、彼は「この出てきた物は、エパ枡です」と言い、また「これは全地の罪です」と言った。
5:6 And I said, What is it? And he said, This is an ephah that goes forth. He said moreover, This is their resemblance through all the earth.
5:7 そして見よ、鉛のふたを取りあげると、そのエパ枡の中にひとりの女がすわっていた。
5:7 And, behold, there was lifted up a talent of lead: and this is a woman that sits in the midst of the ephah.
5:8 すると彼は「これは罪悪である」と言って、その女をエパ枡の中に押し入れ、鉛の重しを、その枡の口に投げかぶせた。
5:8 And he said, This is wickedness. And he cast it into the midst of the ephah; and he cast the weight of lead upon the mouth thereof.
5:9 それからわたしが目をあげて見ていると、ふたりの女が出てきた。これに、こうのとりの翼のような翼があり、その翼に風をはらんで、エパ枡を天と地との間に持ちあげた。
5:9 Then lifted I up mine eyes, and looked, and, behold, there came out two women, and the wind was in their wings; for they had wings like the wings of a stork: and they lifted up the ephah between the earth and the heaven.
5:10 わたしは、わたしと語る天の使に言った、「彼らはエパ枡を、どこへ持って行くのですか」。
5:10 Then said I to the angel that talked with me, Where do these bear the ephah?
5:11 彼はわたしに言った、「シナルの地で、女たちのために家を建てるのです。それが建てられると、彼らはエパ枡をそこにすえ、それの土台の上に置くのです」。
5:11 And he said unto me, To build it an house in the land of Shinar: and it shall be established, and set there upon her own base.
6:1 わたしがまた目をあげて見ていると、四両の戦車が二つの山の間から出てきた。その山は青銅の山であった。
6:1 And I turned, and lifted up mine eyes, and looked, and, behold, there came four chariots out from between two mountains; and the mountains were mountains of brass.
6:2 第一の戦車には赤馬を着け、第二の戦車には黒馬を着け、
6:2 In the first chariot were red horses; and in the second chariot black horses;
6:3 第三の戦車には白馬を着け、第四の戦車には、まだらのねずみ色の馬を着けていた。
6:3 And in the third chariot white horses; and in the fourth chariot greyed and bay horses.
6:4 わたしは、わたしと語るみ使に尋ねた、「わが主よ、これらはなんですか」。
6:4 Then I answered and said unto the angel that talked with me, What are these, my lord?
6:5 天の使は答えて、わたしに言った、「これらは全地の主の前に現れて後、天の四方に出て行くものです。
6:5 And the angel answered and said unto me, These are the four spirits of the heavens, which go forth from standing before the LORD of all the earth.
6:6 黒馬を着けた戦車は、北の国をさして出て行き、白馬は西の国をさして出て行き、まだらの馬は南の国をさして出て行くのです」。
6:6 The black horses which are therein go forth into the north country; and the white go forth after them; and the greyed go forth toward the south country.
6:7 馬が出てくると、彼らは、地をあまねくめぐるために、しきりに出たがるのであった。それで彼が「行って、地をあまねくめぐれ」と言うと、彼らは地を行きめぐった。
6:7 And the bay went forth, and sought to go that they might walk back and forth through the earth: and he said, Get you behind, walk back and forth through the earth. So they walked back and forth through the earth.
6:8 すると彼はわたしを呼んで、「北の国をさして行く者どもは、北の国でわたしの心を静まらせてくれた」と言った。
6:8 Then cried he upon me, and spoke unto me, saying, Behold, these that go toward the north country have quieted my spirit in the north country.
6:9 主の言葉がまたわたしに臨んだ、
6:9 And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
6:10 「バビロンから帰ってきたかの捕囚の中から、ヘルダイ、トビヤおよびエダヤを連れて、その日にゼパニヤの子ヨシヤの家に行き、
6:10 Take of them of the captivity, even of Heldai, of Tobijah, and of Jedaiah, which are come from Babylon, and come you the same day, and go into the house of Josiah the son of Zephaniah;
6:11 彼らから金銀を受け取って、一つの冠を造り、それをヨザダクの子である大祭司ヨシュアの頭にかぶらせて、
6:11 Then take silver and gold, and make crowns, and set them upon the head of Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest;
6:12 彼に言いなさい、『万軍の主は、こう仰せられる、見よ、その名を枝という人がある。彼は自分の場所で成長して、主の宮を建てる。
6:12 And speak unto him, saying, Thus speaks the LORD of hosts, saying, Behold the man whose name is The BRANCH; and he shall grow up out of his place, and he shall build the temple of the LORD:
6:13 すなわち彼は主の宮を建て、王としての光栄を帯び、その位に座して治める。その位のかたわらに、ひとりの祭司がいて、このふたりの間に平和の一致がある』。
6:13 Even he shall build the temple of the LORD; and he shall bear the glory, and shall sit and rule upon his throne; and he shall be a priest upon his throne: and the counsel of peace shall be between them both.
6:14 またその冠はヘルダイ、トビヤ、エダヤおよびゼパニヤの子ヨシヤの記念として、主の宮に納められる。
6:14 And the crowns shall be to Helem, and to Tobijah, and to Jedaiah, and to Hen the son of Zephaniah, for a memorial in the temple of the LORD.
6:15 また遠い所の者どもが来て、主の宮を建てることを助ける。そしてあなたがたは万軍の主が、わたしをつかわされたことを知るようになる。あなたがたがもし励んで、あなたがたの神、主の声に聞き従うならば、このようになる」。
6:15 And they that are far off shall come and build in the temple of the LORD, and all of you shall know that the LORD of hosts has sent me unto you. And this shall come to pass, if all of you will diligently obey the voice of the LORD your God.
7:1 ダリヨス王の第四年の九月、すなわちキスリウという月の四日に、主の言葉がゼカリヤに臨んだ。
7:1 And it came to pass in the fourth year of king Darius, that the word of the LORD came unto Zechariah in the fourth day of the ninth month, even in Chisleu;
7:2 その時ベテルの人々は、シャレゼル、レゲン・メレクおよびその従者をつかわして、主の恵みを請い、
7:2 When they had sent unto the house of God Sherezer and Regemmelech, and their men, to pray before the LORD,
7:3 かつ万軍の主の宮にいる祭司に問わせ、かつ預言者に問わせて言った、「わたしは今まで、多年おこなってきたように、五月に泣き悲しみ、かつ断食すべきでしょうか」。
7:3 And to speak unto the priests which were in the house of the LORD of hosts, and to the prophets, saying, Should I weep in the fifth month, separating myself, as I have done these so many years?
7:4 この時、万軍の主の言葉がわたしに臨んだ、
7:4 Then came the word of the LORD of hosts unto me, saying,
7:5 「地のすべての民、および祭司に告げて言いなさい、あなたがたが七十年の間、五月と七月とに断食し、かつ泣き悲しんだ時、はたして、わたしのために断食したか。
7:5 Speak unto all the people of the land, and to the priests, saying, When all of you fasted and mourned in the fifth and seventh month, even those seventy years, did all of you at all fast unto me, even to me?
7:6 あなたがたが食い飲みする時、それは全く自分のために食い、自分のために飲むのではないか。
7:6 And when all of you did eat, and when all of you did drink, did not all of you eat for yourselves, and drink for yourselves?
7:7 昔エルサレムがその周囲の町々と共に、人が住み、栄えていた時、また南の地および平野にも、人が住んでいた時に、さきの預言者たちによって、主がお告げになった言葉は、これらの事ではなかったか」。
7:7 Should all of you not hear the words which the LORD has cried by the former prophets, when Jerusalem was inhabited and in prosperity, and the cities thereof round about her, when men inhabited the south and the plain?
7:8 主の言葉が、またゼカリヤに臨んだ、
7:8 And the word of the LORD came unto Zechariah, saying,
7:9 「万軍の主はこう仰せられる、真実のさばきを行い、互に相いつくしみ、相あわれみ、
7:9 Thus speaks the LORD of hosts, saying, Execute true judgment, and show mercy and compassions every man to his brother:
7:10 やもめ、みなしご、寄留の他国人および貧しい人を、しえたげてはならない。互に人を害することを、心に図ってはならない」。
7:10 And oppress not the widow, nor the fatherless, the stranger, nor the poor; and let none of you imagine evil against his brother in your heart.
7:11 ところが、彼らは聞くことを拒み、肩をそびやかし、耳を鈍くして聞きいれず、
7:11 But they refused to hearken, and pulled away the shoulder, and stopped their ears, that they should not hear.
7:12 その心を金剛石のようにして、万軍の主がそのみたまにより、さきの預言者によって伝えられた、律法と言葉とに聞き従わなかった。それゆえ、大いなる怒りが、万軍の主から出て、彼らに臨んだのである。
7:12 Yea, they made their hearts as an adamant stone, lest they should hear the law, and the words which the LORD of hosts has sent in his spirit by the former prophets: therefore came a great wrath from the LORD of hosts.
7:13 「わたしが呼ばわったけれども、彼らは聞こうとしなかった。そのとおりに、彼らが呼ばわっても、わたしは聞かない」と万軍の主は仰せられる。
7:13 Therefore it has come to pass, that as he cried, and they would not hear; so they cried, and I would not hear, says the LORD of hosts:
7:14 「わたしは、つむじ風をもって、彼らを未知のもろもろの国民の中に散らした。こうして彼らが去った後、この地は荒れて行き来する者もなく、この麗しい地は荒れ地となったのである」。
7:14 But I scattered them with a whirlwind among all the nations whom they knew not. Thus the land was desolate after them, that no man passed through nor returned: for they laid the pleasant land desolate.
8:1 万軍の主の言葉がわたしに臨んだ、
8:1 Again the word of the LORD of hosts came to me, saying,
8:2 「万軍の主は、こう仰せられる、『わたしはシオンのために、大いなるねたみを起し、またこれがために、大いなる憤りをもってねたむ』。
8:2 Thus says the LORD of hosts; I was jealous for Zion with great jealousy, and I was jealous for her with great fury.
8:3 主はこう仰せられる、『わたしはシオンに帰って、エルサレムの中に住む。エルサレムは忠信な町ととなえられ、万軍の主の山は聖なる山と、となえられる』。
8:3 Thus says the LORD; I am returned unto Zion, and will dwell in the midst of Jerusalem: and Jerusalem shall be called a city of truth; and the mountain of the LORD of hosts the holy mountain.
8:4 万軍の主は、こう仰せられる、『エルサレムの街路には再び老いた男、老いた女が座するようになる。みな年寄の人々で、おのおのつえを手に持つ。
8:4 Thus says the LORD of hosts; There shall yet old men and old women dwell in the streets of Jerusalem, and every man with his staff in his hand for very age.
8:5 またその町の街路には、男の子、女の子が満ちて、街路に遊び戯れる』。
8:5 And the streets of the city shall be full of boys and girls playing in the streets thereof.
8:6 万軍の主は、こう仰せられる、『その日には、たとい、この民の残れる者の目に、不思議な事であっても、それはわたしの目にも、不思議な事であろうか』と万軍の主は言われる。
8:6 Thus says the LORD of hosts; If it be marvellous in the eyes of the remnant of this people in these days, should it also be marvellous in mine eyes? says the LORD of hosts.
8:7 万軍の主は、こう仰せられる、『見よ、わが民を東の国から、また西の国から救い出し、
8:7 Thus says the LORD of hosts; Behold, I will save my people from the east country, and from the west country;
8:8 彼らを連れてきて、エルサレムに住まわせ、彼らはわが民となり、わたしは彼らの神となって、共に真実と正義とをもって立つ』」。
8:8 And I will bring them, and they shall dwell in the midst of Jerusalem: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God, in truth and in righteousness.
8:9 万軍の主は、こう仰せられる、「万軍の主の家である宮を建てるために、その礎をすえた日からこのかた、預言者たちの口から出たこれらの言葉を、きょう聞く者よ、あなたがたの手を強くせよ。
8:9 Thus says the LORD of hosts; Let your hands be strong, all of you that hear in these days these words by the mouth of the prophets, which were in the day that the foundation of the house of the LORD of hosts was laid, that the temple might be built.
8:10 この日の以前には、人も働きの価を得ず、獣も働きの価を得ず、また出る者もはいる者も、あだのために安全ではなかった。わたしはまた人々を相たがいにそむかせた。
8:10 For before these days there was no hire for man, nor any hire for beast; neither was there any peace to him that went out or came in because of the affliction: for I set all men every one against his neighbour.
8:11 しかし今は、わたしのこの民の残れる者に対することは、さきの日のようではないと、万軍の主は言われる。
8:11 But now I will not be unto the residue of this people as in the former days, says the LORD of hosts.
8:12 そこには、平和と繁栄との種がまかれるからである。すなわちぶどうの木は実を結び、地は産物を出し、天は露を与える。わたしはこの民の残れる者に、これをことごとく与える。
8:12 For the seed shall be prosperous; the vine shall give her fruit, and the ground shall give her increase, and the heavens shall give their dew; and I will cause the remnant of this people to possess all these things.
8:13 ユダの家およびイスラエルの家よ、あなたがたが、国々の民の中に、のろいとなっていたように、わたしはあなたがたを救って祝福とする。恐れてはならない。あなたがたの手を強くせよ」。
8:13 And it shall come to pass, that as all of you were a curse among the heathen, O house of Judah, and house of Israel; so will I save you, and all of you shall be a blessing: fear not, but let your hands be strong.
8:14 万軍の主は、こう仰せられる、「あなたがたの先祖が、わたしを怒らせた時に、災を下そうと思って、これをやめなかったように、――万軍の主は言われる――
8:14 For thus says the LORD of hosts; As I thought to punish you, when your fathers provoked me to wrath, says the LORD of hosts, and I repented not:
8:15 そのように、わたしはまた今日、エルサレムとユダの家に恵みを与えよう。恐れてはならない。
8:15 So again have I thought in these days to do well unto Jerusalem and to the house of Judah: fear all of you not.
8:16 あなたがたのなすべき事はこれである。あなたがたは互に真実を語り、またあなたがたの門で、真実と平和のさばきとを、行わなければならない。
8:16 These are the things that all of you shall do; Speak all of you every man the truth to his neighbour; execute the judgment of truth and peace in your gates:
8:17 あなたがたは、互に人を害することを、心に図ってはならない。偽りの誓いを好んではならない。わたしはこれらの事を憎むからであると、主は言われる」。
8:17 And let none of you imagine evil in your hearts against his neighbour; and love no false oath: for all these are things that I hate, says the LORD.
8:18 万軍の主の言葉がわたしに臨んだ、
8:18 And the word of the LORD of hosts came unto me, saying,
8:19 「万軍の主は、こう仰せられる、四月の断食と、五月の断食と、七月の断食と、十月の断食とは、ユダの家の喜び楽しみの時となり、よき祝の時となる。ゆえにあなたがたは、真実と平和とを愛せよ。
8:19 Thus says the LORD of hosts; The fast of the fourth month, and the fast of the fifth, and the fast of the seventh, and the fast of the tenth, shall be to the house of Judah joy and gladness, and cheerful feasts; therefore love the truth and peace.
8:20 万軍の主は、こう仰せられる、もろもろの民および多くの町の住民、すなわち、一つの町の住民は、他の町の人々のところに行き、
8:20 Thus says the LORD of hosts; It shall yet come to pass, that there shall come people, and the inhabitants of many cities:
8:21 『われわれは、ただちに行って、主の恵みを請い、万軍の主に呼び求めよう』と言うと、『わたしも行こう』と言う。
8:21 And the inhabitants of one city shall go to another, saying, Let us go speedily to pray before the LORD, and to seek the LORD of hosts: I will go also.
8:22 多くの民および強い国民はエルサレムに来て、万軍の主を求め、主の恵みを請う。
8:22 Yea, many people and strong nations shall come to seek the LORD of hosts in Jerusalem, and to pray before the LORD.
8:23 万軍の主は、こう仰せられる、その日には、もろもろの国ことばの民の中から十人の者が、ひとりのユダヤ人の衣のすそをつかまえて、『あなたがたと一緒に行こう。神があなたがたと共にいますことを聞いたから』と言う」。
8:23 Thus says the LORD of hosts; In those days it shall come to pass, that ten men shall take hold out of all languages of the nations, even shall take hold of the skirt of him that is a Jew, saying, We will go with you: for we have heard that God is with you.
9:1 託宣／主の言葉はハデラクの地に臨み、ダマスコの上にとどまる。アラムの町々はイスラエルのすべての部族のように／主に属するからである。
9:1 The burden of the word of the LORD in the land of Hadrach, and Damascus shall be the rest thereof: when the eyes of man, as of all the tribes of Israel, shall be toward the LORD.
9:2 これに境するハマテもまたそのとおりだ。非常に賢いが、ツロとシドンもまた同様である。
9:2 And Hamath also shall border thereby; Tyrus, and Zidon, though it be very wise.
9:3 ツロは自分のために、とりでを築き、銀をちりのように積み、金を道ばたの泥のように積んだ。
9:3 And Tyrus did build herself a strong hold, and heaped up silver as the dust, and fine gold as the mire of the streets.
9:4 しかし見よ、主はこれを攻め取り、その富を海の中に投げ入れられる。これは火で焼き滅ぼされる。
9:4 Behold, the LORD will cast her out, and he will strike her power in the sea; and she shall be devoured with fire.
9:5 アシケロンはこれを見て恐れ、ガザもまた見てもだえ苦しみ、エクロンもまたその望む所のものが／はずかしめられて苦しむ。ガザには王が絶え、アシケロンには住む者がなくなり、
9:5 Ashkelon shall see it, and fear; Gaza also shall see it, and be very sorrowful, and Ekron; for her expectation shall be ashamed; and the king shall perish from Gaza, and Ashkelon shall not be inhabited.
9:6 アシドドには混血の民が住む。わたしはペリシテびとの誇を断つ。
9:6 And a bastard shall dwell in Ashdod, and I will cut off the pride of the Philistines.
9:7 またその口から血を取り除き、その歯の間から憎むべき物を取り除く。これもまた残ってわれわれの神に帰し、ユダの一民族のようになる。またエクロンはエブスびとのようになる。
9:7 And I will take away his blood out of his mouth, and his abominations from between his teeth: but he that remains, even he, shall be for our God, and he shall be as a governor in Judah, and Ekron as a Jebusite.
9:8 その時わたしは、わが家のために営を張って、見張りをし、行き来する者のないようにする。しえたげる者は、かさねて通ることがない。わたしが今、自分の目で見ているからである。
9:8 And I will camp about mine house because of the army, because of him that passes by, and because of him that returns: and no oppressor shall pass through them any more: for now have I seen with mine eyes.
9:9 シオンの娘よ、大いに喜べ、エルサレムの娘よ、呼ばわれ。見よ、あなたの王はあなたの所に来る。彼は義なる者であって勝利を得、柔和であって、ろばに乗る。すなわち、ろばの子である子馬に乗る。
9:9 Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, your King comes unto you: he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt the foal of an ass.
9:10 わたしはエフライムから戦車を断ち、エルサレムから軍馬を断つ。また、いくさ弓も断たれる。彼は国々の民に平和を告げ、その政治は海から海に及び、大川から地の果にまで及ぶ。
9:10 And I will cut off the chariot from Ephraim, and the horse from Jerusalem, and the battle bow shall be cut off: and he shall speak peace unto the heathen: and his dominion shall be from sea even to sea, and from the river even to the ends of the earth.
9:11 あなたについてはまた、あなたとの契約の血のゆえに、わたしはかの水のない穴から、あなたの捕われ人を解き放す。
9:11 As for you also, by the blood of your covenant I have sent forth your prisoners out of the pit wherein is no water.
9:12 望みをいだく捕われ人よ、あなたの城に帰れ。わたしはきょうもなお告げて言う、必ず倍して、あなたをもとに返すことを。
9:12 Turn you to the strong hold, all of you prisoners of hope: even to day do I declare that I will render double unto you;
9:13 わたしはユダを張って、わが弓となし、エフライムをその矢とした。シオンよ、わたしはあなたの子らを呼び起して、ギリシヤの人々を攻めさせ、あなたを勇士のつるぎのようにさせる。
9:13 When I have bent Judah for me, filled the bow with Ephraim, and raised up your sons, O Zion, against your sons, O Greece, and made you as the sword of a mighty man.
9:14 その時、主は彼らの上に現れて、その矢をいなずまのように射られる。主なる神はラッパを吹きならし、南のつむじ風に乗って出てこられる。
9:14 And the LORD shall be seen over them, and his arrow shall go forth as the lightning: and the LORD God shall blow the trumpet, and shall go with whirlwinds of the south.
9:15 万軍の主は彼らを守られるので、彼らは石投げどもを食い尽し、踏みつける。彼らはまたぶどう酒のように彼らの血を飲み、鉢のようにそれで満たされ、祭壇のすみのように浸される。
9:15 The LORD of hosts shall defend them; and they shall devour, and subdue with sling stones; and they shall drink, and make a noise as through wine; and they shall be filled like bowls, and as the corners of the altar.
9:16 その日、彼らの神、主は、彼らを救い、その民を羊のように養われる。彼らは冠の玉のように、その地に輝く。
9:16 And the LORD their God shall save them in that day as the flock of his people: for they shall be as the stones of a crown, lifted up as an explicit sign upon his land.
9:17 そのさいわい、その麗しさは、いかばかりであろう。穀物は若者を栄えさせ、新しいぶどう酒は、おとめを栄えさせる。
9:17 For how great is his goodness, and how great is his beauty! corn shall make the young men cheerful, and new wine the maids.
10:1 あなたがたは春の雨の時に、雨を主に請い求めよ。主はいなずまを造り、大雨を人々に賜い、野の青草をおのおのに賜わる。
10:1 Ask all of you of the LORD rain in the time of the latter rain; so the LORD shall make bright clouds, and give them showers of rain, to every one grass in the field.
10:2 テラピムは、たわごとを言い、占い師は偽りを見、夢見る者は偽りの夢を語り、むなしい慰めを与える。このゆえに、民は羊のようにさまよい、牧者がないために悩む。
10:2 For the idols have spoken vanity, and the diviners have seen a lie, and have told false dreams; they comfort in vain: therefore they went their way as a flock, they were troubled, because there was no shepherd.
10:3 「わが怒りは牧者にむかって燃え、わたしは雄やぎを罰する。万軍の主が、その群れの羊であるユダの家を顧み、これをみごとな軍馬のようにされるからである。
10:3 Mine anger was kindled against the shepherds, and I punished the goats: for the LORD of hosts has visited his flock the house of Judah, and has made them as his goodly horse in the battle.
10:4 隅石は彼らから出、天幕の杭も彼らから出、いくさ弓も彼らから出、支配者も皆彼らの中から出る。
10:4 Out of him came forth the corner, out of him the nail, out of him the battle bow, out of him every oppressor together.
10:5 彼らが戦う時は勇士のようになって、道ばたの泥の中に敵を踏みにじる。主が彼らと共におられるゆえに彼らは戦い、馬に乗る者どもを困らせる。
10:5 And they shall be as mighty men, which tread down their enemies in the mire of the streets in the battle: and they shall fight, because the LORD is with them, and the riders on horses shall be confounded.
10:6 わたしはユダの家を強くし、ヨセフの家を救う。わたしは彼らをあわれんで、彼らを連れ帰る。彼らはわたしに捨てられたことのないようになる。わたしは彼らの神、主であって、彼らに答えるからである。
10:6 And I will strengthen the house of Judah, and I will save the house of Joseph, and I will bring them again to place them; for I have mercy upon them: and they shall be as though I had not cast them off: for I am the LORD their God, and will hear them.
10:7 エフライムびとは勇士のようになり、その心は酒を飲んだように喜ぶ。その子供らはこれを見て喜び、その心は主によって楽しむ。
10:7 And they of Ephraim shall be like a mighty man, and their heart shall rejoice as through wine: yea, their children shall see it, and be glad; their heart shall rejoice in the LORD.
10:8 わたしは彼らに向かい、口笛を吹いて彼らを集める、わたしが彼らをあがなったからである。彼らは昔のように数多くなる。
10:8 I will hiss for them, and gather them; for I have redeemed them: and they shall increase as they have increased.
10:9 わたしは彼らを国々の民の中に散らした。しかし彼らは遠い国々でわたしを覚え、その子供らと共に生きながらえて帰ってくる。
10:9 And I will sow them among the people: and they shall remember me in far countries; and they shall live with their children, and return.
10:10 わたしは彼らをエジプトの国から連れ帰り、アッスリヤから彼らを集める。わたしはギレアデの地およびレバノンに／彼らを連れて行く。彼らはいる所もないほどに多くなる。
10:10 I will bring them again also out of the land of Egypt, and gather them out of Assyria; and I will bring them into the land of Gilead and Lebanon; and place shall not be found for them.
10:11 彼らはエジプトの海を通る。海の波は撃たれ、ナイルの淵はことごとくかれた。アッスリヤの高ぶりは低くされ、エジプトのつえは移り去る。
10:11 And he shall pass through the sea with affliction, and shall strike the waves in the sea, and all the deeps of the river shall dry up: and the pride of Assyria shall be brought down, and the sceptre of Egypt shall depart away.
10:12 わたしは彼らを主によって強くする。彼らは主の名を誇る」と／主は言われる。
10:12 And I will strengthen them in the LORD; and they shall walk up and down in his name, says the LORD.
11:1 レバノンよ、おまえの門を開き、おまえの香柏を火に焼き滅ぼさせよ。
11:1 Open your doors, O Lebanon, that the fire may devour your cedars.
11:2 いとすぎよ、泣き叫べ。香柏は倒れ、みごとな木は、そこなわれたからである。バシャンのかしよ、泣き叫べ。茂った林は倒れたからである。
11:2 Wail, fir tree; for the cedar is fallen; because the mighty are spoiled: wail, O all of you oaks of Bashan; for the forest of the vintage has come down.
11:3 聞け、牧者の泣き叫ぶ声を。彼らの栄えが消え去ったからである。聞け、ししのほえる声を。ヨルダンの草むらが荒れ果てたからである。
11:3 There is a voice of the howling of the shepherds; for their glory is spoiled: a voice of the roaring of young lions; for the pride of Jordan is spoiled.
11:4 わが神、主はこう仰せられた、「ほふらるべき羊の群れの牧者となれ。
11:4 Thus says the LORD my God; Feed the flock of the slaughter;
11:5 これを買う者は、これをほふっても罰せられない。これを売る者は言う、『主はほむべきかな、わたしは富んだ』と。そしてその牧者は、これをあわれまない。
11:5 Whose possessors slay them, and hold themselves not guilty: and they that sell them say, Blessed be the LORD; for I am rich: and their own shepherds pity them not.
11:6 わたしは、もはやこの地の住民をあわれまないと、主は言われる。見よ、わたしは人をおのおのその牧者の手に渡し、おのおのその王の手に渡す。彼らは地を荒す。わたしは彼らの手からこれを救い出さない」。
11:6 For I will no more pity the inhabitants of the land, says the LORD: but, lo, I will deliver the men every one into his neighbour's hand, and into the hand of his king: and they shall strike the land, and out of their hand I will not deliver them.
11:7 わたしは羊の商人のために、ほふらるべき羊の群れの牧者となった。わたしは二本のつえを取り、その一本を恵みと名づけ、一本を結びと名づけて、その羊を牧した。
11:7 And I will feed the flock of slaughter, even you, O poor of the flock. And I took unto me two staves; the one I called Beauty, and the other I called Bands; and I fed the flock.
11:8 わたしは一か月に牧者三人を滅ぼした。わたしは彼らに、がまんしきれなくなったが、彼らもまた、わたしを忌みきらった。
11:8 Three shepherds also I cut off in one month; and my soul loathed them, and their soul also abhorred me.
11:9 それでわたしは言った、「わたしはあなたがたの牧者とならない。死ぬ者は死に、滅びる者は滅び、残った者はたがいにその肉を食いあうがよい」。
11:9 Then said I, I will not feed you: that that dies, let it die; and that that is to be cut off, let it be cut off; and let the rest eat every one the flesh of another.
11:10 わたしは恵みというつえを取って、これを折った。これはわたしがもろもろの民と結んだ契約を、廃するためであった。
11:10 And I took my staff, even Beauty, and cut it asunder, that I might break my covenant which I had made with all the people.
11:11 そしてこれは、その日に廃された。そこで、わたしに目を注いでいた羊の商人らは、これが主の言葉であったことを知った。
11:11 And it was broken in that day: and so the poor of the flock that waited upon me knew that it was the word of the LORD.
11:12 わたしは彼らに向かって、「あなたがたがもし、よいと思うならば、わたしに賃銀を払いなさい。もし、いけなければやめなさい」と言ったので、彼らはわたしの賃銀として、銀三十シケルを量った。
11:12 And I said unto them, If all of you think good, give me my price; and if not, forbear. So they weighed for my price thirty pieces of silver.
11:13 主はわたしに言われた、「彼らによって、わたしが値積られたその尊い価を、宮のさいせん箱に投げ入れよ」。わたしは銀三十シケルを取って、これを主の宮のさいせん箱に投げ入れた。
11:13 And the LORD said unto me, Cast it unto the potter: a goodly price that I was appraised at of them. And I took the thirty pieces of silver, and cast them to the potter in the house of the LORD.
11:14 そしてわたしは結びという第二のつえを折った。これはユダとイスラエルの間の、兄弟関係を廃するためであった。
11:14 Then I cut asunder mine other staff, even Bands, that I might break the brotherhood between Judah and Israel.
11:15 主はわたしに言われた、「おまえはまた愚かな牧者の器を取れ。
11:15 And the LORD said unto me, Take unto you yet the instruments of a foolish shepherd.
11:16 見よ、わたしは地にひとりの牧者を起す。彼は滅ぼされる者を顧みず、迷える者を尋ねず、傷ついた者をいやさず、健やかな者を養わず、肥えた者の肉を食らい、そのひずめをさえ裂く者である。
11:16 For, lo, I will raise up a shepherd in the land, which shall not visit those that be cut off, neither shall seek the young one, nor heal that that is broken, nor feed that that stands still: but he shall eat the flesh of the fat, and tear their claws in pieces.
11:17 その羊の群れを捨てる愚かな牧者はわざわいだ。どうか、つるぎがその腕を撃ち、その右の目を撃つように。その腕は全く衰え、その右の目は全く見えなくなるように」。
11:17 Woe to the idol shepherd that left the flock! the sword shall be upon his arm, and upon his right eye: his arm shall be clean dried up, and his right eye shall be utterly darkened.
12:1 託宣／イスラエルについての主の言葉。すなわち天をのべ、地の基をすえ、人の霊をその中に造られた主は、こう仰せられる、
12:1 The burden of the word of the LORD for Israel, says the LORD, which stretches forth the heavens, and lays the foundation of the earth, and forms the spirit of man within him.
12:2 「見よ、わたしはエルサレムを、その周囲にあるすべての民をよろめかす杯にしようとしている。これはエルサレムの攻め囲まれる時、ユダにも及ぶ。
12:2 Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah and against Jerusalem.
12:3 その日には、わたしはエルサレムをすべての民に対して重い石とする。これを持ちあげる者はみな大傷を受ける。地の国々の民は皆集まって、これを攻める。
12:3 And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.
12:4 主は言われる、その日には、わたしはすべての馬を撃って驚かせ、その乗り手を撃って狂わせる。しかし、もろもろの民の馬を、ことごとく撃って、目をくらませるとき、ユダの家に対しては、わたしの目を開く。
12:4 In that day, says the LORD, I will strike every horse with astonishment, and his rider with madness: and I will open mine eyes upon the house of Judah, and will strike every horse of the people with blindness.
12:5 その時ユダの諸族は、その心の中に『エルサレムの住民は、その神、万軍の主によって力強くなった』と言う。
12:5 And the governors of Judah shall say in their heart, The inhabitants of Jerusalem shall be my strength in the LORD of hosts their God.
12:6 その日には、わたしはユダの諸族を、たきぎの中の火皿のようにし、麦束の中のたいまつのようにする。彼らは右に左に、その周囲にあるすべての民を、焼き滅ぼす。しかしエルサレムはなお、そのもとの所、すなわちエルサレムで、人の住む所となる。
12:6 In that day will I make the governors of Judah like an hearth of fire among the wood, and like a torch of fire in a sheaf; and they shall devour all the people round about, on the right hand and on the left: and Jerusalem shall be inhabited again in her own place, even in Jerusalem.
12:7 主はまずユダの幕屋を救われる。これはダビデの家の光栄と、エルサレムの住民の光栄とが、ユダの光栄にまさることのないようにするためである。
12:7 The LORD also shall save the tents of Judah first, that the glory of the house of David and the glory of the inhabitants of Jerusalem do not magnify themselves against Judah.
12:8 その日、主はエルサレムの住民を守られる。彼らの中の弱い者も、その日には、ダビデのようになる。またダビデの家は神のように、彼らに先だつ主の使のようになる。
12:8 In that day shall the LORD defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and he that is feeble among them at that day shall be as David; and the house of David shall be as God, as the angel of the LORD before them.
12:9 その日には、わたしはエルサレムに攻めて来る国民を、ことごとく滅ぼそうと努める。
12:9 And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.
12:10 わたしはダビデの家およびエルサレムの住民に、恵みと祈の霊とを注ぐ。彼らはその刺した者を見る時、ひとり子のために嘆くように彼のために嘆き、ういごのために悲しむように、彼のためにいたく悲しむ。
12:10 And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourns for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn.
12:11 その日には、エルサレムの嘆きは、メギドの平野にあったハダデ・リンモンのための嘆きのように大きい。
12:11 In that day shall there be a great mourning in Jerusalem, as the mourning of Hadadrimmon in the valley of Megiddon.
12:12 国じゅう、氏族おのおの別れて嘆く。すなわちダビデの家の氏族は別れて嘆き、その妻たちも別れて嘆く。ナタンの家の氏族は別れて嘆き、その妻たちも別れて嘆く。
12:12 And the land shall mourn, every family apart; the family of the house of David apart, and their wives apart; the family of the house of Nathan apart, and their wives apart;
12:13 レビの家の氏族は別れて嘆き、その妻たちも別れて嘆く。シメイの氏族は別れて嘆き、その妻たちも別れて嘆く。
12:13 The family of the house of Levi apart, and their wives apart; the family of Shimei apart, and their wives apart;
12:14 その他の氏族も皆別れて嘆き、その妻たちも別れて嘆くのである。
12:14 All the families that remain, every family apart, and their wives apart.
13:1 その日には、罪と汚れとを清める一つの泉が、ダビデの家とエルサレムの住民とのために開かれる。
13:1 In that day there shall be a fountain opened to the house of David and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem for sin and for uncleanness.
13:2 万軍の主は言われる、その日には、わたしは地から偶像の名を取り除き、重ねて人に覚えられることのないようにする。わたしはまた預言者および汚れの霊を、地から去らせる。
13:2 And it shall come to pass in that day, says the LORD of hosts, that I will cut off the names of the idols out of the land, and they shall no more be remembered: and also I will cause the prophets and the unclean spirit to pass out of the land.
13:3 もし、人が今後預言するならば、その産みの父母はこれにむかって、『あなたは主の名をもって偽りを語るゆえ、生きていることができない』と言い、その産みの父母は彼が預言している時、彼を刺すであろう。
13:3 And it shall come to pass, that when any shall yet prophesy, then his father and his mother that brings forth him shall say unto him, You shall not live; for you speak lies in the name of the LORD: and his father and his mother that brings forth him shall thrust him through when he prophesies.
13:4 その日には、預言者たちは皆預言する時、その幻を恥じる。また人を欺くための毛の上着を着ない。
13:4 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the prophets shall be ashamed every one of his vision, when he has prophesied; neither shall they wear a rough garment to deceive:
13:5 そして『わたしは預言者ではない、わたしは土地を耕す者だ。若い時から土地を持っている』と言う。
13:5 But he shall say, I am no prophet, I am an farmer; for man taught me to keep cattle from my youth.
13:6 もし、人が彼に『あなたの背中の傷は何か』と尋ねるならば、『これはわたしの友だちの家で受けた傷だ』と、彼は言うであろう」。
13:6 And one shall say unto him, What are these wounds in yours hands? Then he shall answer, Those with which I was wounded in the house of my friends.
13:7 万軍の主は言われる、「つるぎよ、立ち上がってわが牧者を攻めよ。わたしの次に立つ人を攻めよ。牧者を撃て、その羊は散る。わたしは手をかえして、小さい者どもを攻める。
13:7 Awake, O sword, against my shepherd, and against the man that is my fellow, says the LORD of hosts: strike the shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered: and I will turn mine hand upon the little ones.
13:8 主は言われる、全地の人の三分の二は断たれて死に、三分の一は生き残る。
13:8 And it shall come to pass, that in all the land, says the LORD, two parts therein shall be cut off and die; but the third shall be left therein.
13:9 わたしはこの三分の一を火の中に入れ、銀をふき分けるように、これをふき分け、金を精錬するように、これを精錬する。彼らはわたしの名を呼び、わたしは彼らに答える。わたしは『彼らはわが民である』と言い、彼らは『主はわが神である』と言う」。
13:9 And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The LORD is my God.
14:1 見よ、主の日が来る。その時あなたの奪われた物は、あなたの中で分かたれる。
14:1 Behold, the day of the LORD comes, and your spoil shall be divided in the midst of you.
14:2 わたしは万国の民を集めて、エルサレムを攻め撃たせる。町は取られ、家はかすめられ、女は犯され、町の半ばは捕えられて行く。しかし残りの民は町から断たれることはない。
14:2 For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses ransacked, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city.
14:3 その時、主は出てきて、いくさの日にみずから戦われる時のように、それらの国びとと戦われる。
14:3 Then shall the LORD go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle.
14:4 その日には彼の足が、東の方エルサレムの前にあるオリブ山の上に立つ。そしてオリブ山は、非常に広い一つの谷によって、東から西に二つに裂け、その山の半ばは北に、半ばは南に移り、
14:4 And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south.
14:5 わが山の谷はふさがれる。裂けた山の谷が、そのかたわらに接触するからである。そして、あなたがたはユダの王ウジヤの世に、地震を避けて逃げたように逃げる。こうして、あなたがたの神、主はこられる、もろもろの聖者と共にこられる。
14:5 And all of you shall flee to the valley of the mountains; for the valley of the mountains shall reach unto Azal: yea, all of you shall flee, like all of you fled from before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah: and the LORD my God shall come, and all the saints with you.
14:6 その日には、寒さも霜もない。
14:6 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the light shall not be clear, nor dark:
14:7 そこには長い連続した日がある（主はこれを知られる）。これには昼もなく、夜もない。夕暮になっても、光があるからである。
14:7 But it shall be one day which shall be known to the LORD, not day, nor night: but it shall come to pass, that at evening time it shall be light.
14:8 その日には、生ける水がエルサレムから流れ出て、その半ばは東の海に、その半ばは西の海に流れ、夏も冬もやむことがない。
14:8 And it shall be in that day, that living waters shall go out from Jerusalem; half of them toward the former sea, and half of them toward the hinder sea: in summer and in winter shall it be.
14:9 主は全地の王となられる。その日には、主ひとり、その名一つのみとなる。
14:9 And the LORD shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one LORD, and his name one.
14:10 全地はゲバからエルサレムの南リンモンまで、平地のように変る。しかしエルサレムは高くなって、そのもとの所にとどまり、ベニヤミンの門から、先にあった門の所に及び、隅の門に至り、ハナネルのやぐらから、王の酒ぶねにまで及ぶ。
14:10 All the land shall be turned as a plain from Geba to Rimmon south of Jerusalem: and it shall be lifted up, and inhabited in her place, from Benjamin's gate unto the place of the first gate, unto the corner gate, and from the tower of Hananeel unto the king's winepresses.
14:11 その中には人が住み、もはやのろいはなく、エルサレムは安らかに立つ。
14:11 And men shall dwell in it, and there shall be no more utter destruction; but Jerusalem shall be safely inhabited.
14:12 エルサレムを攻撃したもろもろの民を、主は災をもって撃たれる。すなわち彼らはなお足で立っているうちに、その肉は腐れ、目はその穴の中で腐れ、舌はその口の中で腐れる。
14:12 And this shall be the plague wherewith the LORD will strike all the people that have fought against Jerusalem; Their flesh shall consume away while they stand upon their feet, and their eyes shall consume away in their holes, and their tongue shall consume away in their mouth.
14:13 その日には、主は彼らを大いにあわてさせられるので、彼らはおのおのその隣り人を捕え、手をあげてその隣り人を攻める。
14:13 And it shall come to pass in that day, that a great tumult from the LORD shall be among them; and they shall lay hold every one on the hand of his neighbour, and his hand shall rise up against the hand of his neighbour.
14:14 ユダもまた、エルサレムに敵して戦う。その周囲のすべての国びとの財宝、すなわち金銀、衣服などが、はなはだ多く集められる。
14:14 And Judah also shall fight at Jerusalem; and the wealth of all the heathen round about shall be gathered together, gold, and silver, and apparel, in great abundance.
14:15 また馬、騾馬、らくだ、ろば、およびその陣営にあるすべての家畜にも、この災のような災が臨む。
14:15 And so shall be the plague of the horse, of the mule, of the camel, and of the ass, and of all the beasts that shall be in these tents, as this plague.
14:16 エルサレムに攻めて来たもろもろの国びとの残った者は、皆年々上って来て、王なる万軍の主を拝み、仮庵の祭を守るようになる。
14:16 And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles.
14:17 地の諸族のうち、王なる万軍の主を拝むために、エルサレムに上らない者の上には、雨が降らない。
14:17 And it shall be, that whoso will not come up of all the families of the earth unto Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, even upon them shall be no rain.
14:18 エジプトの人々が、もし上ってこない時には、主が仮庵の祭を守るために、上ってこないすべての国びとを撃たれるその災が、彼らの上に臨む。
14:18 And if the family of Egypt go not up, and come not, that have no rain; there shall be the plague, wherewith the LORD will strike the heathen that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles.
14:19 これが、エジプトびとの受ける罰、およびすべて仮庵の祭を守るために上ってこない国びとの受ける罰である。
14:19 This shall be the punishment of Egypt, and the punishment of all nations that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles.
14:20 その日には、馬の鈴の上に「主に聖なる者」と、しるすのである。また主の宮のなべは、祭壇の前の鉢のように、聖なる物となる。
14:20 In that day shall there be upon the bells of the horses, HOLINESS UNTO THE LORD; and the pots in the LORD's house shall be like the bowls before the altar.
14:21 エルサレムおよびユダのすべてのなべは、万軍の主に対して聖なる物となり、すべて犠牲をささげる者は来てこれを取り、その中で犠牲の肉を煮ることができる。その日には、万軍の主の宮に、もはや商人はいない。
14:21 Yea, every pot in Jerusalem and in Judah shall be holiness unto the LORD of hosts: and all they that sacrifice shall come and take of them, and seethe therein: and in that day there shall be no more the Canaanite in the house of the LORD of hosts.
