1:1 In the second year of Darius the king, in the sixth month, in the first day of the month, came the word of the LORD by Haggai the prophet unto Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, saying,
1:1 Pada tahun yang kedua zaman raja Darius, dalam bulan yang keenam, pada hari pertama bulan itu, datanglah firman TUHAN dengan perantaraan nabi Hagai kepada Zerubabel bin Sealtiel, bupati Yehuda, dan kepada Yosua bin Yozadak, imam besar, bunyinya:
1:2 Thus speaks the LORD of hosts, saying, This people say, The time is not come, the time that the LORD's house should be built.
1:2 "Beginilah firman TUHAN semesta alam: Bangsa ini berkata: Sekarang belum tiba waktunya untuk membangun kembali rumah TUHAN!"
1:3 Then came the word of the LORD by Haggai the prophet, saying,
1:3 Maka datanglah firman TUHAN dengan perantaraan nabi Hagai, bunyinya:
1:4 Is it time for you, O all of you, to dwell in your covered over houses, and this house lie waste?
1:4 "Apakah sudah tiba waktunya bagi kamu untuk mendiami rumah-rumahmu yang dipapani dengan baik, sedang Rumah ini tetap menjadi reruntuhan?
1:5 Now therefore thus says the LORD of hosts; Consider your ways.
1:5 Oleh sebab itu, beginilah firman TUHAN semesta alam: Perhatikanlah keadaanmu!
1:6 All of you have sown much, and bring in little; all of you eat, but all of you have not enough; all of you drink, but all of you are not filled with drink; all of you clothe you, but there is none warm; and he that earns wages earns wages to put it into a bag with holes.
1:6 Kamu menabur banyak, tetapi membawa pulang hasil sedikit; kamu makan, tetapi tidak sampai kenyang; kamu minum, tetapi tidak sampai puas; kamu berpakaian, tetapi badanmu tidak sampai panas; dan orang yang bekerja untuk upah, ia bekerja untuk upah yang ditaruh dalam pundi-pundi yang berlobang!
1:7 Thus says the LORD of hosts; Consider your ways.
1:7 Beginilah firman TUHAN semesta alam: Perhatikanlah keadaanmu!
1:8 Go up to the mountain, and bring wood, and build the house; and I will take pleasure in it, and I will be glorified, says the LORD.
1:8 Jadi naiklah ke gunung, bawalah kayu dan bangunlah Rumah itu; maka Aku akan berkenan kepadanya dan akan menyatakan kemuliaan-Ku di situ, firman TUHAN.
1:9 All of you looked for much, and, lo it came to little; and when all of you brought it home, I did blow upon it. Why? says the LORD of hosts. Because of mine house that is waste, and all of you run every man unto his own house.
1:9 Kamu mengharapkan banyak, tetapi hasilnya sedikit, dan ketika kamu membawanya ke rumah, Aku menghembuskannya. Oleh karena apa? demikianlah firman TUHAN semesta alam. Oleh karena rumah-Ku yang tetap menjadi reruntuhan, sedang kamu masing-masing sibuk dengan urusan rumahnya sendiri.
1:10 Therefore the heaven over you is stayed from dew, and the earth is stayed from her fruit.
1:10 Itulah sebabnya langit menahan embunnya dan bumi menahan hasilnya,
1:11 And I called for a drought upon the land, and upon the mountains, and upon the corn, and upon the new wine, and upon the oil, and upon that which the ground brings forth, and upon men, and upon cattle, and upon all the labour of the hands.
1:11 dan Aku memanggil kekeringan datang ke atas negeri, ke atas gunung-gunung, ke atas gandum, ke atas anggur, ke atas minyak, ke atas segala yang dihasilkan tanah, ke atas manusia dan hewan dan ke atas segala hasil usaha."
1:12 Then Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, with all the remnant of the people, obeyed the voice of the LORD their God, and the words of Haggai the prophet, as the LORD their God had sent him, and the people did fear before the LORD.
1:12 Lalu Zerubabel bin Sealtiel dan Yosua bin Yozadak, imam besar, dan selebihnya dari bangsa itu mendengarkan suara TUHAN, Allah mereka, dan juga perkataan nabi Hagai, sesuai dengan apa yang disuruhkan kepadanya oleh TUHAN, Allah mereka; lalu takutlah bangsa itu kepada TUHAN.
1:13 Then spoke Haggai the LORD's messenger in the LORD's message unto the people, saying, I am with you, says the LORD.
1:13 Maka berkatalah Hagai, utusan TUHAN itu, menurut pesan TUHAN kepada bangsa itu, demikian: "Aku ini menyertai kamu, demikianlah firman TUHAN."
1:14 And the LORD stirred up the spirit of Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and the spirit of Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, and the spirit of all the remnant of the people; and they came and did work in the house of the LORD of hosts, their God,
1:14 TUHAN menggerakkan semangat Zerubabel bin Sealtiel, bupati Yehuda, dan semangat Yosua bin Yozadak, imam besar, dan semangat selebihnya dari bangsa itu, maka datanglah mereka, lalu melakukan pekerjaan pembangunan rumah TUHAN semesta alam, Allah mereka,
1:15 In the four and twentieth day of the sixth month, in the second year of Darius the king.
1:15 (2-1a) pada hari yang kedua puluh empat dalam bulan yang keenam. (2-1b) Pada tahun yang kedua zaman raja Darius,
2:1 In the seventh month, in the one and twentieth day of the month, came the word of the LORD by the prophet Haggai, saying,
2:1 (2-2) dalam bulan yang ketujuh, pada tanggal dua puluh satu bulan itu, datanglah firman TUHAN dengan perantaraan nabi Hagai, bunyinya:
2:2 Speak now to Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, and to the residue of the people, saying,
2:2 (2-3) "Katakanlah kepada Zerubabel bin Sealtiel, bupati Yehuda, dan kepada Yosua bin Yozadak, imam besar, dan kepada selebihnya dari bangsa itu, demikian:
2:3 Who is left among you that saw this house in her first glory? and how do all of you see it now? is it not in your eyes in comparison of it as nothing?
2:3 (2-4) Masih adakah di antara kamu yang telah melihat Rumah ini dalam kemegahannya semula? Dan bagaimanakah kamu lihat keadaannya sekarang? Bukankah keadaannya di matamu seperti tidak ada artinya?
2:4 Yet now be strong, O Zerubbabel, says the LORD; and be strong, O Joshua, son of Josedech, the high priest; and be strong, all you people of the land, says the LORD, and work: for I am with you, says the LORD of hosts:
2:4 (2-5) Tetapi sekarang, kuatkanlah hatimu, hai Zerubabel, demikianlah firman TUHAN; kuatkanlah hatimu, hai Yosua bin Yozadak, imam besar; kuatkanlah hatimu, hai segala rakyat negeri, demikianlah firman TUHAN; bekerjalah, sebab Aku ini menyertai kamu, demikianlah firman TUHAN semesta alam,
2:5 According to the word that I covenanted with you when all of you came out of Egypt, so my spirit remains among you: fear all of you not.
2:5 (2-6) sesuai dengan janji yang telah Kuikat dengan kamu pada waktu kamu keluar dari Mesir. Dan Roh-Ku tetap tinggal di tengah-tengahmu. Janganlah takut!
2:6 For thus says the LORD of hosts; Yet once, it is a little while, and I will shake the heavens, and the earth, and the sea, and the dry land;
2:6 (2-7) Sebab beginilah firman TUHAN semesta alam: Sedikit waktu lagi maka Aku akan menggoncangkan langit dan bumi, laut dan darat;
2:7 And I will shake all nations, and the desire of all nations shall come: and I will fill this house with glory, says the LORD of hosts.
2:7 (2-8) Aku akan menggoncangkan segala bangsa, sehingga barang yang indah-indah kepunyaan segala bangsa datang mengalir, maka Aku akan memenuhi Rumah ini dengan kemegahan, firman TUHAN semesta alam.
2:8 The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, says the LORD of hosts.
2:8 (2-9) Kepunyaan-Kulah perak dan kepunyaan-Kulah emas, demikianlah firman TUHAN semesta alam.
2:9 The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former, says the LORD of hosts: and in this place will I give peace, says the LORD of hosts.
2:9 (2-10) Adapun Rumah ini, kemegahannya yang kemudian akan melebihi kemegahannya yang semula, firman TUHAN semesta alam, dan di tempat ini Aku akan memberi damai sejahtera, demikianlah firman TUHAN semesta alam."
2:10 In the four and twentieth day of the ninth month, in the second year of Darius, came the word of the LORD by Haggai the prophet, saying,
2:10 (2-11) Pada tanggal dua puluh empat bulan yang kesembilan, pada tahun yang kedua zaman Darius, datanglah firman TUHAN kepada nabi Hagai, bunyinya:
2:11 Thus says the LORD of hosts; Ask now the priests concerning the law, saying,
2:11 (2-12) "Beginilah firman TUHAN semesta alam itu: Tanyakanlah pengajaran kepada para imam.
2:12 If one bear holy flesh in the skirt of his garment, and with his skirt do touch bread, or pottage, or wine, or oil, or any food, shall it be holy? And the priests answered and said, No.
2:12 (2-13) Andaikata seseorang membawa daging kudus dalam punca bajunya, lalu dengan puncanya itu ia menyentuh roti atau sesuatu masakan atau anggur atau minyak atau sesuatu yang dapat dimakan, menjadi kuduskah yang disentuh itu?" Lalu para imam itu menjawab, katanya: "Tidak!"
2:13 Then said Haggai, If one that is unclean by a dead body touch any of these, shall it be unclean? And the priests answered and said, It shall be unclean.
2:13 (2-14) Berkatalah pula Hagai: "Jika seseorang yang najis oleh mayat menyentuh semuanya ini, menjadi najiskah yang disentuh itu?" Lalu para imam itu menjawab, katanya: "Tentu!"
2:14 Then answered Haggai, and said, So is this people, and so is this nation before me, says the LORD; and so is every work of their hands; and that which they offer there is unclean.
2:14 (2-15) Maka berbicaralah Hagai, katanya: "Begitu juga dengan umat ini dan dengan bangsa ini di hadapan-Ku, demikianlah firman TUHAN, dan dengan segala yang dibuat tangan mereka; dan yang dipersembahkan mereka di sana adalah najis."
2:15 And now, I pray you, consider from this day and upward, from before a stone was laid upon a stone in the temple of the LORD:
2:15 (2-16) "Maka sekarang, perhatikanlah mulai dari hari ini dan selanjutnya! Sebelum ditaruh orang batu demi batu untuk pembangunan bait TUHAN,
2:16 Since those days were, when one came to an heap of twenty measures, there were but ten: when one came to the pressfat in order to draw out fifty vessels out of the press, there were but twenty.
2:16 (2-17) bagaimana keadaanmu? Ketika orang pergi melihat suatu timbunan gandum yang seharusnya sebanyak dua puluh gantang, hanya ada sepuluh; dan ketika orang pergi ke tempat pemerasan anggur untuk mencedok lima puluh takar, hanya ada dua puluh.
2:17 I stroke you with blasting and with mildew and with hail in all the labours of your hands; yet all of you turned not to me, says the LORD.
2:17 (2-18) Aku telah memukul kamu dengan hama dan penyakit gandum dan segala yang dibuat tanganmu dengan hujan batu; namun kamu tidak berbalik kepada-Ku, demikianlah firman TUHAN.
2:18 Consider now from this day and upward, from the four and twentieth day of the ninth month, even from the day that the foundation of the LORD's temple was laid, consider it.
2:18 (2-19) Perhatikanlah mulai dari hari ini dan selanjutnya--mulai dari hari yang kedua puluh empat bulan kesembilan. Mulai dari hari diletakkannya dasar bait TUHAN perhatikanlah
2:19 Is the seed yet in the barn? yea, as yet the vine, and the fig tree, and the pomegranate, and the olive tree, has not brought forth: from this day will I bless you.
2:19 (2-20) apakah benih masih tinggal tersimpan dalam lumbung, dan apakah pohon anggur dan pohon ara, pohon delima dan pohon zaitun belum berbuah? Mulai dari hari ini Aku akan memberi berkat!"
2:20 And again the word of the LORD came unto Haggai in the four and twentieth day of the month, saying,
2:20 (2-21) Maka datanglah firman TUHAN untuk kedua kalinya kepada Hagai pada tanggal dua puluh empat bulan itu, bunyinya:
2:21 Speak to Zerubbabel, governor of Judah, saying, I will shake the heavens and the earth;
2:21 (2-22) "Katakanlah kepada Zerubabel, bupati Yehuda, begini: Aku akan menggoncangkan langit dan bumi
2:22 And I will overthrow the throne of kingdoms, and I will destroy the strength of the kingdoms of the heathen; and I will overthrow the chariots, and those that ride in them; and the horses and their riders shall come down, every one by the sword of his brother.
2:22 (2-23) dan akan menunggangbalikkan takhta raja-raja; Aku akan memunahkan kekuasaan kerajaan bangsa-bangsa dan akan menjungkirbalikkan kereta dan pengendaranya; kuda dan pengendaranya akan mati rebah, masing-masing oleh pedang temannya.
2:23 In that day, says the LORD of hosts, will I take you, O Zerubbabel, my servant, the son of Shealtiel, says the LORD, and will make you as a signet: for I have chosen you, says the LORD of hosts.
2:23 (2-24) Pada waktu itu, demikianlah firman TUHAN semesta alam, Aku akan mengambil engkau, hai Zerubabel bin Sealtiel, hamba-Ku--demikianlah firman TUHAN--dan akan menjadikan engkau seperti cincin meterai; sebab engkaulah yang Kupilih, demikianlah firman TUHAN semesta alam."
