8:1 예수는 감람 산으로 가시다
8:1 But Jesus went to the Mountain of Olives.
8:1 Jesus went unto the mount of Olives.
8:2 아침에 다시 성전으로 들어오시니 백성이 다 나아오는지라 앉으사 저희를
가르치시더니
8:2 And early in the morning he came again into the Temple and all the people came to
him and he was seated teaching them.
8:2 And early in the morning he came again into the temple, and all the people
came unto him; and he sat down, and taught them.
8:3 서기관들과 바리새인들이 간음 중에 잡힌 여자를 끌고 와서 가운데 세우고
8:3 Now the scribes and Pharisees came, with a woman who had been taken in the act of
sinning against the married relation;
8:3 And the scribes and Pharisees brought unto him a woman taken in adultery;
and when they had set her in the midst,
8:4 예수께 말하되 선생이여 이 여자가 간음하다가 현장에서 잡혔나이다
8:4 And putting her forward, they said to him, Master, this woman has been taken in
the very act of sinning against the married relation.
8:4 They say unto him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very
act.
8:5 모세는 율법에 이러한 여자를 돌로 치라 명하였거니와 선생은 어떻게 말하겠나이까
8:5 Now in the law Moses gave directions that such women were to be stoned; what do
you say about it?
8:5 Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what
says you?
8:6 저희가 이렇게 말함은 고소할 조건을 얻고자 하여 예수를 시험함이러라 예수께서
몸을 굽히사 손가락으로 땅에 쓰시니
8:6 They said this, testing him, so that they might have something against him. But
Jesus, with his head bent down, made letters on the floor with his finger.
8:6 This they said, tempting him, that they might have to accuse him. But
Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground, as though he heard
them not.
8:7 저희가 묻기를 마지 아니하는지라 이에 일어나 가라사대 너희 중에 죄 없는
자가 먼저 돌로 치라 하시고
8:7 But when they went on with their questions, he got up and said to them, Let him
among you who is without sin be the first to send a stone at her.
8:7 So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto
them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.
8:8 다시 몸을 굽히사 손가락으로 땅에 쓰시니
8:8 And again, with bent head, he made letters on the floor.
8:8 And again he stooped down, and wrote on the ground.
8:9 저희가 이 말씀을 듣고 양심의 가책을 받아 어른으로 시작하여 젊은이까지
하나씩 하나씩 나가고 오직 예수와 그 가운데 섰는 여자만 남았더라
8:9 And when his words came to their ears, they went out one by one, starting with the
oldest even to the last, because they were conscious of what was in their hearts:
and Jesus was there by himself with the woman before him.
8:9 And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went
out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus was left
alone, and the woman standing in the midst.
8:10 예수께서 일어나사 여자 외에 아무도 없는 것을 보시고 이르시되 여자여
너를 고소하던 그들이 어디 있느냐 너를 정죄한 자가 없느냐
8:10 Then Jesus got up, and seeing nobody but the woman, he said to her, Where are the
men who said things against you? did no one give a decision against you?
8:10 When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said
unto her, Woman, where are those yours accusers? has no man condemned you?
8:11 대답하되 주여 없나이다 예수께서 가라사대 나도 너를 정죄하지 아니하노니
가서 다시는 죄를 범치 말라 하시니라)
8:11 And she said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said, And I do not give a decision against
you: go, and never do wrong again.]
8:11 She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn
you: go, and sin no more.
8:12 ○ 예수께서 또 일러 가라사대 나는 세상의 빛이니 나를 따르는 자는 어두움에
다니지 아니하고 생명의 빛을 얻으리라
8:12 Then again Jesus said to them, I am the light of the world; he who comes with me
will not be walking in the dark but will have the light of life.
8:12 Then spoke Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world:
he that follows me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.
8:13 바리새인들이 가로되 네가 너를 위하여 증거하니 네 증거는 참되지 아니하도다
8:13 So the Pharisees said to him, The witness you give is about yourself: your witness
is not true.
8:13 The Pharisees therefore said unto him, You bear record of yourself;
your record is not true.
8:14 예수께서 대답하여 가라사대 내가 나를 위하여 증거하여도 내 증거가 참되니
나는 내가 어디서 오며 어디로 가는 것을 앎이어니와 너희는 내가 어디서 오며 어디로
가는 것을 알지 못하느니라
8:14 Jesus said in answer, Even if I give witness about myself, my witness is true, because
I have knowledge of where I came from and where I am going; but you have no knowledge
of where I come from or of where I am going.
8:14 Jesus answered and said unto them, Though I bear record of myself, yet
my record is true: for I know whence I came, and where I go; but all of you
cannot tell whence I come, and where I go.
8:15 너희는 육체를 따라 판단하나 나는 아무도 판단치 아니하노라
8:15 You are judging from what you see; I am judging no man.
8:15 All of you judge after the flesh; I judge no man.
8:16 만일 내가 판단하여도 내 판단이 참되니 이는 내가 혼자 있는 것이 아니요
나를 보내신 이가 나와 함께 계심이라
8:16 Even if I am judging, my decision is right, because I am not by myself--with me
is the Father who sent me.
8:16 And yet if I judge, my judgment is true: for I am not alone, but I and
the Father that sent me.
8:17 너희 율법에도 두 사람의 증거가 참되다 기록하였으니
8:17 Even in your law it is said that the witness of two men is true.
8:17 It is also written in your law, that the testimony of two men is true.
8:18 내가 나를 위하여 증거하는 자가 되고 나를 보내신 아버지도 나를 위하여
증거하시느니라
8:18 I give witness about myself and the Father who sent me gives witness about me.
8:18 I am one that bear witness of myself, and the Father that sent me bears
witness of me.
8:19 이에 저희가 묻되 네 아버지가 어디 있느냐 예수께서 대답하시되 너희는
나를 알지 못하고 내 아버지도 알지 못하는도다 나를 알았더면 내 아버지도 알았으리라
8:19 Then they said to him, Where is your Father? Jesus said in answer, You have no knowledge
of me or of my Father: if you had knowledge of me you would have knowledge of my
Father.
8:19 Then said they unto him, Where is your Father? Jesus answered, All of
you neither know me, nor my Father: if all of you had known me, all of you should
have known my Father also.
8:20 이 말씀은 성전에서 가르치실 때에 연보궤 앞에서 하셨으나 잡는 사람이
없으니 이는 그의 때가 아직 이르지 아니하였음이러라
8:20 Jesus said these words in the place where the offerings were stored, while he was
teaching in the Temple: but no man took him because his time was still to come.
8:20 These words (o. rhema) spoke Jesus in the treasury, as he taught in
the temple: and no man laid hands on him; for his hour was not yet come.
8:21 ○ 다시 이르시되 내가 가리니 너희가 나를 찾다가 너희 죄 가운데서 죽겠고
나의 가는 곳에는 너희가 오지 못하리라
8:21 Then he said to them again, I am going away and you will be looking for me, but
death will overtake you in your sins. It is not possible for you to come where I
am going.
8:21 Then said Jesus again unto them, I go my way, and all of you shall seek
me, and shall die in your sins: where I go, all of you cannot come.
8:22 유대인들이 가로되 저가 나의 가는 곳에는 너희가 오지 못하리라 하니 저가
자결하려는가
8:22 So the Jews said, Will he take his life? Is that why he says, Where I go it is not
possible for you to come?
8:22 Then said the Jews, Will he kill himself? because he says, Where I go,
all of you cannot come.
8:23 예수께서 가라사대 너희는 아래서 났고 나는 위에서 났으며 너희는 이 세상에
속하였고 나는 이 세상에 속하지 아니하였느니라
8:23 And he said to them, You are of the earth; I am from heaven: you are of this world;
I am not of this world.
8:23 And he said unto them, All of you are from beneath; I am from above:
all of you are of this world; I am not of this world.
8:24 이러므로 내가 너희에게 말하기를 너희가 너희 죄 가운데서 죽으리라 하였노라
너희가 만일 내가 그인 줄 믿지 아니하면 너희 죄 가운데서 죽으리라
8:24 For this reason I said to you that death will overtake you in your sins: for if
you have not faith that I am he, death will come to you while you are in your sins.
8:24 I said therefore unto you, that all of you shall die in your sins: for
if all of you believe not that I am he, all of you shall die in your sins.
8:25 저희가 말하되 네가 누구냐 예수께서 가라사대 나는 처음부터 너희에게 말하여
온 자니라
8:25 Then they said to him, Who are you? Jesus said, What I said to you from the first.
8:25 Then said they unto him, Who are you? And Jesus says unto them, Even
the same that I said unto you from the beginning.
8:26 내가 너희를 대하여 말하고 판단할 것이 많으나 나를 보내신 이가 참되시매
내가 그에게 들은 그것을 세상에게 말하노라 하시되
8:26 I have much to say about you and against you: but he who sent me is true and what
he has said to me I say to the world.
8:26 I have many things to say and to judge of you: but he that sent me is
true; and I speak to the world those things which I have heard of him.
8:27 저희는 아버지를 가리켜 말씀하신 줄을 깨닫지 못하더라
8:27 They did not see that his words were about the Father.
8:27 They understood not that he spoke to them of the Father.
8:28 이에 예수께서 가라사대 너희는 인자를 든 후에 내가 그인 줄을 알고 또
내가 스스로 아무 것도 하지 아니하고 오직 아버지께서 가르치신 대로 이런 것을 말하는
줄도 알리라
8:28 So Jesus said, When the Son of man has been lifted up by you, then it will be clear
to you who I am, and that I do nothing of myself, but say as the Father gave me
teaching.
8:28 Then said Jesus unto them, When all of you have lifted up the Son of
man, then shall all of you know that I am he, and that I do nothing of myself;
but as my Father has taught me, I speak these things.
8:29 나를 보내신 이가 나와 함께 하시도다 내가 항상 그의 기뻐하시는 일을 행하므로
나를 혼자 두지 아니하셨느니라
8:29 He who sent me is with me; he has not gone from me, because at all times I do the
things which are pleasing to him.
8:29 And he that sent me is with me: the Father has not left me alone; for
I do always those things that please him.
8:30 이 말씀을 하시매 많은 사람이 믿더라
8:30 When he said this a number came to have faith in him.
8:30 As he spoke these words, many believed on him.
8:31 ○ 그러므로 예수께서 자기를 믿은 유대인들에게 이르시되 너희가 내 말에
거하면 참 내 제자가 되고
8:31 Then Jesus said to the Jews who had faith in him, If you keep my word, then you
are truly my disciples;
8:31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If all of you continue
in my word, (o. logos) then are all of you my disciples indeed;
8:32 진리를 알지니 진리가 너희를 자유케 하리라
8:32 And you will have knowledge of what is true, and that will make you free.
8:32 And all of you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
8:33 저희가 대답하되 우리가 아브라함의 자손이라 남의 종이 된 적이 없거늘
어찌하여 우리가 자유케 되리라 하느냐
8:33 They said to him in answer, We are Abraham's seed and have never been any man's
servant: why do you say, You will become free?
8:33 They answered him, We be Abraham's seed, and were never in bondage to
any man: how says you, All of you shall be made free?
8:34 예수께서 대답하시되 진실로 진실로 너희에게 이르노니 죄를 범하는 자마다
죄의 종이라
8:34 And this was the answer Jesus gave them: Truly I say to you, Everyone who does evil
is the servant of sin.
8:34 Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever commits
sin is the servant of sin.
8:35 종은 영원히 집에 거하지 못하되 아들은 영원히 거하나니
8:35 Now the servant does not go on living in the house for ever, but the son does.
8:35 And the servant abides not in the house for ever: but the Son abides
ever.
8:36 그러므로 아들이 너희를 자유케 하면 너희가 참으로 자유하리라
8:36 If then the son makes you free, you will be truly free.
8:36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, all of you shall be free indeed.
8:37 나도 너희가 아브라함의 자손인 줄 아노라 그러나 내 말이 너희 속에 있을
곳이 없으므로 나를 죽이려 하는도다
8:37 I am conscious that you are Abraham's seed; but you have a desire to put me to death
because my word has no place in you.
8:37 I know that all of you are Abraham's seed; but all of you seek to kill
me, because my word (o. logos) has no place in you.
8:38 나는 내 아버지에게서 본 것을 말하고 너희는 너희 아비에게서 들은 것을
행하느니라
8:38 I say the things which I have seen in my Father's house: and you do the things which
come to you from your father's house.
8:38 I speak that which I have seen with my Father: and all of you do that
which all of you have seen with your father.
8:39 대답하여 가로되 우리 아버지는 아브라함이라 하니 예수께서 가라사대 너희가
아브라함의 자손이면 아브라함의 행사를 할 것이어늘
8:39 In answer they said to him, Our father is Abraham. Jesus said to them, If you were
Abraham's children you would do what Abraham did.
8:39 They answered and said unto him, Abraham is our father. Jesus says unto
them, If all of you were Abraham's children, all of you would do the works of
Abraham.
8:40 지금 하나님께 들은 진리를 너희에게 말한 사람인 나를 죽이려 하는도다
아브라함은 이렇게 하지 아니하였느니라
8:40 But now you have a desire to put me to death, a man who has said to you what is
true, as I had it from God: Abraham did not do that.
8:40 But now all of you seek to kill me, a man that has told you the truth,
which I have heard of God: this did not Abraham.
8:41 너희는 너희 아비의 행사를 하는도다 대답하되 우리가 음란한 데서 나지 아니하였고
아버지는 한 분 뿐이시니 곧 하나님이시로다
8:41 You are doing the works of your father. They said to him, We are true sons of Abraham;
we have one Father, who is God.
8:41 All of you do the deeds of your father. Then said they to him, We be
not born of fornication; we have one Father, even God.
8:42 예수께서 가라사대 하나님이 너희 아버지였으면 너희가 나를 사랑하였으리니
이는 내가 하나님께로 나서 왔음이라 나는 스스로 온 것이 아니요 아버지께서 나를
보내신 것이니라
8:42 Jesus said to them, If God was your Father you would have love for me, because it
was from God I came and am here. I did not come of myself, but he sent me.
8:42 Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, all of you would love
me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he
sent me.
8:43 어찌하여 내 말을 깨닫지 못하느냐 이는 내 말을 들을 줄 알지 못함이로다
8:43 Why are my words not clear to you? It is because your ears are shut to my teaching.
8:43 Why do all of you not understand my speech? even because all of you
cannot hear my word. (o. logos)
8:44 너희는 너희 아비 마귀에게서 났으니 너희 아비의 욕심을 너희도 행하고자
하느니라 저는 처음부터 살인한 자요 진리가 그 속에 없으므로 진리에 서지 못하고
거짓을 말할 때마다 제 것으로 말하나니 이는 저가 거짓말장이요 거짓의 아비가 되었음이니라
8:44 You are the children of your father the Evil One and it is your pleasure to do his
desires. From the first he was a taker of life; and he did not go in the true way
because there is no true thing in him. When he says what is false, it is natural
to him, for he is false and the father of what is false.
8:44 All of you are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father
all of you will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the
truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks of
his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.
8:45 내가 진리를 말하므로 너희가 나를 믿지 아니하는도다
8:45 But because I say what is true, you have no belief in me.
8:45 And because I tell you the truth, all of you believe me not.
8:46 너희 중에 누가 나를 죄로 책잡겠느냐 내가 진리를 말하매 어찌하여 나를
믿지 아니하느냐
8:46 Which of you is able truly to say that I am a sinner? If I say what is true, why
have you no belief in me?
8:46 Which of you convinces me of sin? And if I say the truth, why do all
of you not believe me?
8:47 하나님께 속한 자는 하나님의 말씀을 듣나니 너희가 듣지 아니함은 하나님께
속하지 아니하였음이로다
8:47 He who is a child of God gives ear to the words of God: your ears are not open to
them because you are not from God.
8:47 He that is of God hears God's words: (o. rhema) all of you therefore
hear them not, because all of you are not of God.
8:48 유대인들이 대답하여 가로되 우리가 너를 사마리아 사람이라 또는 귀신이
들렸다 하는 말이 옳지 아니하냐
8:48 The Jews said to him in answer, Are we not right in saying that you are of Samaria
and have an evil spirit?
8:48 Then answered the Jews, and said unto him, Say we not well that you
are a Samaritan, and have a devil?
8:49 예수께서 대답하시되 나는 귀신 들린 것이 아니라 오직 내 아버지를 공경함이어늘
너희가 나를 무시하는도다
8:49 And this was the answer of Jesus: I have not an evil spirit; but I give honour to
my Father and you do not give honour to me.
8:49 Jesus answered, I have not a devil; but I honour my Father, and all
of you do dishonour me.
8:50 나는 내 영광을 구치 아니하나 구하고 판단하시는 이가 계시니라
8:50 I, however, am not in search of glory for myself: there is One who is searching
for it and he is judge.
8:50 And I seek not mine own glory: there is one that seeks and judges.
8:51 진실로 진실로 너희에게 이르노니 사람이 내 말을 지키면 죽음을 영원히
보지 아니하리라
8:51 Truly I say to you, If a man keeps my word he will never see death.
8:51 Verily, verily, I say unto you, If a man keep my saying, (o. logos)
he shall never see death.
8:52 유대인들이 가로되 지금 네가 귀신 들린 줄을 아노라 아브라함과 선지자들도
죽었거늘 네 말은 사람이 내 말을 지키면 죽음을 영원히 맛보지 아니하리라 하니
8:52 The Jews said to him, Now we are certain that you have an evil spirit. Abraham is
dead, and the prophets are dead; and you say, If a man keeps my word he will never
see death.
8:52 Then said the Jews unto him, Now we know that you have a devil. Abraham
is dead, and the prophets; and you says, If a man keep my saying, (o. logos)
he shall never taste of death.
8:53 너는 이미 죽은 우리 조상 아브라함보다 크냐 또 선지자들도 죽었거늘 너는
너를 누구라 하느냐
8:53 Are you greater than our father Abraham, who is dead? and the prophets are dead:
who do you say that you are?
8:53 Are you greater than our father Abraham, which is dead? and the prophets
are dead: whom make you yourself?
8:54 예수께서 대답하시되 내가 내게 영광을 돌리면 내 영광이 아무 것도 아니어니와
내게 영광을 돌리시는 이는 내 아버지시니 곧 너희가 너희 하나님이라 칭하는 그이시라
8:54 Jesus said in answer, If I take glory for myself, my glory is nothing: it is my
Father who gives me glory, of whom you say that he is your God.
8:54 Jesus answered, If I honour myself, my honour is nothing: it is my Father
that honors me; of whom all of you say, that he is your God:
8:55 너희는 그를 알지 못하되 나는 아노니 만일 내가 알지 못한다 하면 나도
너희 같이 거짓말장이가 되리라 나는 그를 알고 또 그의 말씀을 지키노라
8:55 You have no knowledge of him, but I have knowledge of him; and if I said I have
no knowledge of him I would be talking falsely like you: but I have full knowledge
of him, and I keep his word.
8:55 Yet all of you have not known him; but I know him: and if I should say,
I know him not, I shall be a liar like unto you: but I know him, and keep his
saying. (o. logos)
8:56 너희 조상 아브라함은 나의 때 볼 것을 즐거워하다가 보고 기뻐하였느니라
8:56 Your father Abraham was full of joy at the hope of seeing my day: he saw it and
was glad.
8:56 Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad.
8:57 유대인들이 가로되 네가 아직 오십도 못되었는데 아브라함을 보았느냐
8:57 Then the Jews said to him, You are not fifty years old; have you seen Abraham?
8:57 Then said the Jews unto him, You are not yet fifty years old, and have
you seen Abraham?
8:58 예수께서 가라사대 진실로 진실로 너희에게 이르노니 아브라함이 나기 전부터
내가 있느니라 하시니
8:58 Jesus said to them, Truly I say to you, Before Abraham came into being, I am.
8:58 Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham
was, I am.
8:59 저희가 돌을 들어 치려 하거늘 예수께서 숨어 성전에서 나가시니라
8:59 So they took up stones to send at him: but Jesus got secretly out of their way and
went out of the Temple.
8:59 Then took they up stones to cast at him: but Jesus hid himself, and
went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by.
9:1 예수께서 길 가실 때에 날 때부터 소경된 사람을 보신지라
9:1 And when he went on his way, he saw a man blind from birth.
9:1 And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth.
9:2 제자들이 물어 가로되 랍비여 이 사람이 소경으로 난 것이 뉘 죄로 인함이오니이까
자기오니이까 그 부모오니이까
9:2 And his disciples put a question to him, saying, Master, was it because of this
man's sin, or the sin of his father and mother, that he has been blind from birth?
9:2 And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or
his parents, that he was born blind?
9:3 예수께서 대답하시되 이 사람이나 그 부모가 죄를 범한 것이 아니라 그에게서
하나님의 하시는 일을 나타내고자 하심이니라
9:3 Jesus said in answer, It was not because of his sin, or because of his father's
or mother's; it was so that the works of God might be seen openly in him.
9:3 Jesus answered, Neither has this man sinned, nor his parents: but that
the works of God should be made manifest in him.
9:4 때가 아직 낮이매 나를 보내신 이의 일을 우리가 하여야 하리라 밤이 오리니
그때는 아무도 일할 수 없느니라
9:4 While it is day we have to do the works of him who sent me: the night comes when
no work may be done.
9:4 I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night
comes, when no man can work.
9:5 내가 세상에 있는 동안에는 세상의 빛이로라
9:5 As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.
9:5 As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.
9:6 이 말씀을 하시고 땅에 침을 뱉아 진흙을 이겨 그의 눈에 바르시고
9:6 Having said these words, he put earth, mixed with water from his mouth, on the man's
eyes,
9:6 When he had thus spoken, he spat on the ground, and made clay of the
spittle, and he anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay,
9:7 이르시되 실로암 못에 가서 씻으라 하시니 {실로암은 번역하면 보냄을 받았다는
뜻이라} 이에 가서 씻고 밝은 눈으로 왔더라
9:7 And said to him, Go and make yourself clean in the bath of Siloam (the sense of
the name is, Sent). So he went away and, after washing, came back able to see.
9:7 And said unto him, Go, wash in the pool of Siloam, (which is by interpretation,
Sent.) He went his way therefore, and washed, and came seeing.
9:8 이웃 사람들과 및 전에 저가 걸인인 것을 보았던 사람들이 가로되 이는 앉아서
구걸하던 자가 아니냐
9:8 Then the neighbours and others who had seen him before in the street, with his hand
out for money, said, Is not this the man who got money from people?
9:8 The neighbours therefore, and they which before had seen him that he
was blind, said, Is not this he that sat and begged?
9:9 혹은 그 사람이라 하며 혹은 아니라 그와 비슷하다 하거늘 제 말은 내가 그로라
하니
9:9 Some said, It is he: others said, No, but he is like him. He said, I am he.
9:9 Some said, This is he: others said, He is like him: but he said, I am
he.
9:10 저희가 묻되 그러면 네 눈이 어떻게 떠졌느냐
9:10 So they said to him, How then were your eyes made open?
9:10 Therefore said they unto him, How were yours eyes opened?
9:11 대답하되 예수라 하는 그 사람이 진흙을 이겨 내 눈에 바르고 나더러 실로암에
가서 씻으라 하기에 가서 씻었더니 보게 되었노라
9:11 His answer was: The man who is named Jesus put earth mixed with water on my eyes,
and said to me, Go and make yourself clean in Siloam: so I went away and, after
washing, am now able to see.
9:11 He answered and said, A man that is called Jesus made clay, and anointed
mine eyes, and said unto me, Go to the pool of Siloam, and wash: and I went
and washed, and I received sight.
9:12 저희가 가로되 그가 어디 있느냐 가로되 알지 못하노라 하니라
9:12 And they said to him, Where is he? His answer was: I have no knowledge.
9:12 Then said they unto him, Where is he? He said, I know not.
9:13 ○ 저희가 전에 소경되었던 사람을 데리고 바리새인들에게 갔더라
9:13 They took him before the Pharisees--this man who had been blind.
9:13 They brought to the Pharisees him that in old times was blind.
9:14 예수께서 진흙을 이겨 눈을 뜨게 하신 날은 안식일이라
9:14 Now the day on which the earth was mixed by Jesus and the man's eyes were made open
was the Sabbath.
9:14 And it was the sabbath day when Jesus made the clay, and opened his
eyes.
9:15 그러므로 바리새인들도 그 어떻게 보게 된 것을 물으니 가로되 그 사람이
진흙을 내 눈에 바르매 내가 씻고 보나이다 하니
9:15 So the Pharisees put more questions to him about how his eyes had been made open.
And he said to them, He put earth on my eyes, and I had a wash and am able to see.
9:15 Then again the Pharisees also asked him how he had received his sight.
He said unto them, He put clay upon mine eyes, and I washed, and do see.
9:16 바리새인 중에 혹은 말하되 이 사람이 안식일을 지키지 아니하니 하나님께로서
온 자가 아니라 하며 혹은 말하되 죄인으로서 어떻게 이러한 표적을 행하겠느냐 하여
피차 쟁론이 되었더니
9:16 Then some of the Pharisees said, That man has not come from God, for he does not
keep the Sabbath. Others said, How is it possible for a sinner to do such signs?
So there was a division among them.
9:16 Therefore said some of the Pharisees, This man is not of God, because
he keeps not the sabbath day. Others said, How can a man that is a sinner do
such miracles? And there was a division among them.
9:17 이에 소경되었던 자에게 다시 묻되 그 사람이 네 눈을 뜨게 하였으니 너는
그를 어떠한 사람이라 하느냐 대답하되 선지자니이다 한 대
9:17 Again they said to the blind man, What have you to say about him for opening your
eyes? And he said, He is a prophet.
9:17 They say unto the blind man again, What says you of him, that he has
opened yours eyes? He said, He is a prophet.
9:18 유대인들이 저가 소경으로 있다가 보게 된 것을 믿지 아니하고 그 부모를
불러 묻되
9:18 Now the Jews had no belief in the statement that he had been blind and was now able
to see, till they sent for the father and mother of the man whose eyes had been
made open,
9:18 But the Jews did not believe concerning him, that he had been blind,
and received his sight, until they called the parents of him that had received
his sight.
9:19 이는 너희 말에 소경으로 났다 하는 너희 아들이냐 그러면 지금은 어떻게
되어 보느냐
9:19 And put the question to them, saying, Is this your son, of whom you say that he
was blind at birth? how is it then that he is now able to see?
9:19 And they asked them, saying, Is this your son, who all of you say was
born blind? how then does he now see?
9:20 그 부모가 대답하여 가로되 이가 우리 아들인 것과 소경으로 난 것을 아나이다
9:20 In answer his father and mother said, We are certain that this is our son and that
he was blind at birth:
9:20 His parents answered them and said, We know that this is our son, and
that he was born blind:
9:21 그러나 지금 어떻게 되어 보는지 또는 누가 그 눈을 뜨게 하였는지 우리는
알지 못하나이다 저에게 물어 보시오 저가 장성하였으니 자기 일을 말하리이다
9:21 But how it is he is now able to see, or who made his eyes open, we are not able
to say: put the question to him; he is old enough to give an answer for himself.
9:21 But by what means he now sees, we know not; or who has opened his eyes,
we know not: he is of age; ask him: he shall speak for himself.
9:22 그 부모가 이렇게 말한 것은 이미 유대인들이 누구든지 예수를 그리스도로
시인하는 자는 출교하기로 결의하였으므로 저희를 무서워함이러라
9:22 They said this because of their fear of the Jews: for the Jews had come to an agreement
that if any man said that Jesus was the Christ he would be put out of the Synagogue.
9:22 These words spoke his parents, because they feared the Jews: for the
Jews had agreed already, that if any man did confess that he was Christ, he
should be put out of the synagogue.
9:23 이러므로 그 부모가 말하기를 저가 장성하였으니 저에게 물어 보시오 하였더라
9:23 That was the reason why they said, He is old enough; put the question to him.
9:23 Therefore said his parents, He is of age; ask him.
9:24 이에 저희가 소경되었던 사람을 두 번째 불러 이르되 너는 영광을 하나님께
돌리라 우리는 저 사람이 죄인인 줄 아노라
9:24 So they sent a second time for the man who had been blind and they said to him,
Give glory to God: it is clear to us that this man is a sinner.
9:24 Then again called they the man that was blind, and said unto him, Give
God the praise: we know that this man is a sinner.
9:25 대답하되 그가 죄인인지 내가 알지 못하나 한 가지 아는 것은 내가 소경으로
있다가 지금 보는 그것이니이다
9:25 He said in answer, I have no knowledge if he is a sinner or not, but one thing I
am certain about; I was blind, and now I see.
9:25 He answered and said, Whether he be a sinner or no, I know not: one
thing I know, that, whereas I was blind, now I see.
9:26 저희가 가로되 그 사람이 네게 무엇을 하였느냐 어떻게 네 눈을 뜨게 하였느냐
9:26 Then they said to him, What did he do to you? how did he give you the use of your
eyes?
9:26 Then said they to him again, What did he to you? how opened he yours
eyes?
9:27 대답하되 내가 이미 일렀어도 듣지 아니하고 어찌하여 다시 듣고자 하나이까
당신들도 그 제자가 되려 하나이까
9:27 His answer was: I have said it before, but your ears were shut: why would you have
me say it again? is it your desire to become his disciples?
9:27 He answered them, I have told you already, and all of you did not hear:
wherefore would all of you hear it again? will all of you also be his disciples?
9:28 저희가 욕하여 가로되 너는 그의 제자나 우리는 모세의 제자라
9:28 And they were angry with him and said, You are his disciple, but we are disciples
of Moses.
9:28 Then they reviled him, and said, You are his disciple; but we are Moses'
disciples.
9:29 하나님이 모세에게는 말씀하신 줄을 우리가 알거니와 이 사람은 어디서 왔는지
알지 못하노라
9:29 We are certain that God gave his word to Moses: but as for this man, we have no
knowledge where he comes from.
9:29 We know that God spoke unto Moses: as for this fellow, we know not from
whence he is.
9:30 그 사람이 대답하여 가로되 이상하다 이 사람이 내 눈을 뜨게 하였으되 당신들이
그가 어디서 왔는지 알지 못하는도다
9:30 The man said in answer, Why, here is a strange thing! You have no knowledge where
he comes from though he gave me the use of my eyes.
9:30 The man answered and said unto them, Why herein is a marvellous thing,
that all of you know not from whence he is, and yet he has opened mine eyes.
9:31 하나님이 죄인을 듣지 아니하시고 경건하여 그의 뜻대로 행하는 자는 들으시는
줄을 우리가 아나이다
9:31 We have knowledge that God does not give ear to sinners, but if any man is a worshipper
of God and does his pleasure, to him God's ears are open.
9:31 Now we know that God hears not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper
of God, and does his will, him he hears.
9:32 창세 이후로 소경으로 난 자의 눈을 뜨게 하였다 함을 듣지 못하였으니
9:32 In all the years nobody has ever before seen the eyes of a man blind from birth
made open.
9:32 Since the world began was it not heard that any man opened the eyes
of one that was born blind.
9:33 이 사람이 하나님께로부터 오지 아니하였으면 아무 일도 할 수 없으리이다
9:33 If this man did not come from God he would be unable to do anything.
9:33 If this man were not of God, he could do nothing.
9:34 저희가 대답하여 가로되 네가 온전히 죄 가운데서 나서 우리를 가르치느냐
하고 이에 쫓아내어 보내니라
9:34 Their answer was: You came to birth through sin; do you make yourself our teacher?
And they put him out of the Synagogue.
9:34 They answered and said unto him, You were altogether born in sins, and
do you teach us? And they cast him out.
9:35 ○ 예수께서 저희가 그 사람을 쫓아냈다 하는 말을 들으셨더니 그를 만나사
가라사대 네가 인자를 믿느냐
9:35 It came to the ears of Jesus that they had put him out, and meeting him he said,
Have you faith in the Son of man?
9:35 Jesus heard that they had cast him out; and when he had found him, he
said unto him, Do you believe on the Son of God?
9:36 대답하여 가로되 주여 그가 누구시오니이까 내가 믿고자 하나이다
9:36 He said in answer, And who is he, Lord? Say, so that I may have faith in him.
9:36 He answered and said, Who is he, Lord, that I might believe on him?
9:37 예수께서 가라사대 네가 그를 보았거니와 지금 너와 말하는 자가 그이니라
9:37 Jesus said to him, You have seen him; it is he who is talking to you.
9:37 And Jesus said unto him, You have both seen him, and it is he that talks
with you.
9:38 가로되 주여 내가 믿나이다 하고 절하는지라
9:38 And he said, Lord, I have faith. And he gave him worship.
9:38 And he said, Lord, I believe. And he worshipped him.
9:39 예수께서 가라사대 내가 심판하러 이 세상에 왔으니 보지 못하는 자들은
보게 하고 보는 자들은 소경되게 하려 함이라 하시니
9:39 And Jesus said, I came into this world to be a judge, so that those who do not see
may see, and those who see may become blind.
9:39 And Jesus said, For judgment I am come into this world, that they which
see not might see; and that they which see might be made blind.
9:40 바리새인 중에 예수와 함께 있던 자들이 이 말씀을 듣고 가로되 우리도 소경인가
9:40 These words came to the ears of the Pharisees who were with him and they said to
him, Are we, then, blind?
9:40 And some of the Pharisees which were with him heard these words, and
said unto him, Are we blind also?
9:41 예수께서 가라사대 너희가 소경 되었더면 죄가 없으려니와 본다고 하니 너희
죄가 그저 있느니라
9:41 Jesus said to them, If you were blind you would have no sin: but now that you say,
We see; your sin is there still.
9:41 Jesus said unto them, If all of you were blind, all of you should have
no sin: but now all of you say, We see; therefore your sin remains.
10:1 내가 진실로 진실로 너희에게 이르노니 양의 우리에 문으로 들어가지 아니하고
다른 데로 넘어가는 자는 절도며 강도요
10:1 Truly I say to you, He who does not go through the door into the place where the
sheep are kept, but gets in by some other way, is a thief and an outlaw.
10:1 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that enters not by the door into
the sheepfold, but climbs up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.
10:2 문으로 들어가는 이가 양의 목자라
10:2 He who goes in by the door is the keeper of the sheep.
10:2 But he that enters in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep.
10:3 문지기는 그를 위하여 문을 열고 양은 그의 음성을 듣나니 그가 자기 양의
이름을 각각 불러 인도하여 내느니라
10:3 The porter lets him in; and the sheep give ear to his voice; he says over the names
of the sheep, and takes them out.
10:3 To him the gate keeper opens; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calls
his own sheep by name, and leads them out.
10:4 자기 양을 다 내어 놓은 후에 앞서 가면 양들이 그의 음성을 아는 고로 따라
오되
10:4 When he has got them all out, he goes before them, and the sheep go after him, for
they have knowledge of his voice.
10:4 And when he puts forth his own sheep, he goes before them, and the sheep
follow him: for they know his voice.
10:5 타인의 음성은 알지 못하는 고로 타인을 따르지 아니하고 도리어 도망하느니라
10:5 They will not go after another who is not their keeper, but will go from him in
flight, because his voice is strange to them.
10:5 And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they
know not the voice of strangers.
10:6 예수께서 이 비유로 저희에게 말씀하셨으나 저희는 그 하신 말씀이 무엇인지
알지 못하니라
10:6 In this Jesus was teaching them in the form of a story: but what he said was not
clear to them.
10:6 This parable spoke Jesus unto them: but they understood not what things
they were which he spoke unto them.
10:7 ○ 그러므로 예수께서 다시 이르시되 내가 진실로 진실로 너희에게 말하노니
나는 양의 문이라
10:7 So Jesus said again, Truly I say to you, I am the door of the sheep.
10:7 Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am
the door of the sheep.
10:8 나보다 먼저 온 자는 다 절도요 강도니 양들이 듣지 아니하였느니라
10:8 All who came before me are thieves and outlaws: but the sheep did not give ear to
them.
10:8 All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep
did not hear them.
10:9 내가 문이니 누구든지 나로 말미암아 들어가면 구원을 얻고 또는 들어가며
나오며 꼴을 얻으리라
10:9 I am the door: if any man goes in through me he will have salvation, and will go
in and go out, and will get food.
10:9 I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall
go in and out, and find pasture.
10:10 도적이 오는 것은 도적질하고 죽이고 멸망시키려는 것뿐이요 내가 온 것은
양으로 생명을 얻게 하고 더 풍성히 얻게 하려는 것이라
10:10 The thief comes only to take the sheep and to put them to death: he comes for their
destruction: I have come so that they may have life and have it in greater measure.
10:10 The thief comes not, but in order to steal, and to kill, and to destroy:
I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
10:11 나는 선한 목자라 선한 목자는 양들을 위하여 목숨을 버리거니와
10:11 I am the good keeper of sheep: the good keeper gives his life for the sheep.
10:11 I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd gives his life for the sheep.
10:12 삯군은 목자도 아니요 양도 제 양이 아니라 이리가 오는 것을 보면 양을
버리고 달아나나니 이리가 양을 늑탈하고 또 헤치느니라
10:12 He who is a servant, and not the keeper or the owner of the sheep, sees the wolf
coming and goes in flight, away from the sheep; and the wolf comes down on them
and sends them in all directions:
10:12 But he that is a worker, and not the shepherd, whose own the sheep
are not, sees the wolf coming, and left the sheep, and flees: and the wolf catches
them, and scatters the sheep.
10:13 달아나는 것은 저가 삯군인 까닭에 양을 돌아보지 아니함이나
10:13 Because he is a servant he has no interest in the sheep.
10:13 The worker flees, because he is a worker, and cares not for the sheep.
10:14 나는 선한 목자라 내가 내 양을 알고 양도 나를 아는 것이
10:14 I am the good keeper; I have knowledge of my sheep, and they have knowledge of me,
10:14 I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine.
10:15 아버지께서 나를 아시고 내가 아버지를 아는 것 같으니 나는 양을 위하여
목숨을 버리노라
10:15 Even as the Father has knowledge of me and I of the Father; and I am giving my life
for the sheep.
10:15 As the Father knows me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my
life for the sheep.
10:16 또 이 우리에 들지 아니한 다른 양들이 내게 있어 내가 인도하여야 할 터이니
저희도 내 음성을 듣고 한 무리가 되어 한 목자에게 있으리라
10:16 And I have other sheep which are not of this field: I will be their guide in the
same way, and they will give ear to my voice, so there will be one flock and one
keeper.
10:16 And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must
bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.
10:17 아버지께서 나를 사랑하시는 것은 내가 다시 목숨을 얻기 위하여 목숨을
버림이라
10:17 For this reason am I loved by the Father, because I give up my life so that I may
take it again.
10:17 Therefore does my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that
I might take it again.
10:18 이를 내게서 빼앗는 자가 있는 것이 아니라 내가 스스로 버리노라 나는
버릴 권세도 있고 다시 얻을 권세도 있으니 이 계명은 내 아버지에게서 받았노라
하시니라
10:18 No one takes it away from me; I give it up of myself. I have power to give it up,
and I have power to take it again. These orders I have from my Father.
10:18 No man takes it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power
to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received
of my Father.
10:19 ○ 이 말씀을 인하여 유대인 중에 다시 분쟁이 일어나니
10:19 There was a division again among the Jews because of these words.
10:19 There was a division therefore again among the Jews for these sayings.

10:20 그 중에 많은 사람이 말하되 저가 귀신 들려 미쳤거늘 어찌하여 그 말을
듣느냐 하며
10:20 And a number of them said, He has an evil spirit and is out of his mind; why do
you give ear to him?
10:20 And many of them said, He has a devil, and is mad; why hear all of
you him?
10:21 혹은 말하되 이 말은 귀신 들린 자의 말이 아니라 귀신이 소경의 눈을 뜨게
할 수 있느냐 하더라
10:21 Others said, These are not the words of one who has an evil spirit. Is it possible
for an evil spirit to make blind people see?
10:21 Others said, These are not the words (o. rhema) of him that has a devil.
Can a devil open the eyes of the blind?
10:22 ○ 예루살렘에 수전절이 이르니 때는 겨울이라
10:22 Then came the feast of the opening of the Temple in Jerusalem: it was winter;
10:22 And it was at Jerusalem the feast of the dedication, and it was winter.
10:23 예수께서 성전 안 솔로몬 행각에서 다니시니
10:23 And Jesus was walking in the Temple, in Solomon's covered way.
10:23 And Jesus walked in the temple in Solomon's porch.
10:24 유대인들이 에워싸고 가로되 당신이 언제까지나 우리 마음을 의혹케 하려나이까
그리스도여든 밝히 말하시오 하니
10:24 Then the Jews came round him, saying, how long are you going to keep us in doubt?
If you are the Christ, say so clearly.
10:24 Then came the Jews round about him, and said unto him, How long do
you make us to doubt? If you be the Christ, tell us plainly.
10:25 예수께서 대답하시되 내가 너희에게 말하였으되 믿지 아니하는도다 내가
내 아버지의 이름으로 행하는 일들이 나를 증거하는 것이어늘
10:25 Jesus said in answer, I have said it and you have no belief: the works which I do
in my Father's name, these give witness about me.
10:25 Jesus answered them, I told you, and all of you believed not: the works
that I do in my Father's name, they bear witness of me.
10:26 너희가 내 양이 아니므로 믿지 아니하는도다
10:26 But you have no belief because you are not of my sheep.
10:26 But all of you believe not, because all of you are not of my sheep,
as I said unto you.
10:27 내 양은 내 음성을 들으며 나는 저희를 알며 저희는 나를 따르느니라
10:27 My sheep give ear to my voice, and I have knowledge of them, and they come after
me:
10:27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:
10:28 내가 저희에게 영생을 주노니 영원히 멸망치 아니할 터이요 또 저희를 내
손에서 빼앗을 자가 없느니라
10:28 And I give them eternal life; they will never come to destruction, and no one will
ever take them out of my hand.
10:28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither
shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
10:29 저희를 주신 내 아버지는 만유보다 크시매 아무도 아버지 손에서 빼앗을
수 없느니라
10:29 That which my Father has given to me has more value than all; and no one is able
to take anything out of the Father's hand.
10:29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able
to pluck them out of my Father's hand.
10:30 나와 아버지는 하나이니라 하신대
10:30 I and my Father are one.
10:30 I and my Father are one.
10:31 유대인들이 다시 돌을 들어 치려 하거늘
10:31 Then the Jews took up stones again to send at him.
10:31 Then the Jews took up stones again to stone him.
10:32 예수께서 대답하시되 내가 아버지께로 말미암아 여러 가지 선한 일을 너희에게
보였거늘 그 중에 어떤 일로 나를 돌로 치려 하느냐
10:32 Jesus said to them in answer, I have let you see a number of good works from the
Father; for which of those works are you stoning me?
10:32 Jesus answered them, Many good works have I showed you from my Father;
for which of those works do all of you stone me?
10:33 유대인들이 대답하되 선한 일을 인하여 우리가 너를 돌로 치려는 것이 아니라
참람함을 인함이니 네가 사람이 되어 자칭 하나님이라 함이로라
10:33 This was their answer: We are not stoning you for a good work but for evil words;
because being a man you make yourself God.
10:33 The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone you not; but
for blasphemy; and because that you, being a man, make yourself God.
10:34 예수께서 가라사대 너희 율법에 기록한 바 내가 너희를 신이라 하였노라
하지 아니하였느냐
10:34 In answer, Jesus said, Is there not a saying in your law, I said, You are gods?
10:34 Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, All of
you are gods?
10:35 성경은 폐하지 못하나니 하나님의 말씀을 받은 사람들을 신이라 하였거든
10:35 If he said they were gods, to whom the word of God came (and the Writings may not
be broken),
10:35 If he called them gods, unto whom the word (o. logos) of God came,
and the scripture cannot be broken;
10:36 하물며 아버지께서 거룩하게 하사 세상에 보내신 자가 나는 하나님 아들이라
하는 것으로 너희가 어찌 참람하다 하느냐
10:36 Do you say of him whom the Father made holy and sent into the world, Your words
are evil; because I said, I am God's Son?
10:36 Say all of you of him, whom the Father has sanctified, and sent into
the world, You blaspheme; because I said, I am the Son of God?
10:37 만일 내가 내 아버지의 일을 행치 아니하거든 나를 믿지 말려니와
10:37 If I am not doing the works of my Father, do not have belief in me;
10:37 If I do not the works of my Father, believe me not.
10:38 내가 행하거든 나를 믿지 아니할지라도 그 일은 믿으라 그러면 너희가 아버지께서
내 안에 계시고 내가 아버지 안에 있음을 깨달아 알리라 하신대
10:38 But if I am doing them, then have belief in the works even if you have no belief
in me; so that you may see clearly and be certain that the Father is in me and I
am in the Father.
10:38 But if I do, though all of you believe not me, believe the works: that
all of you may know, and believe, that the Father is in me, and I in him.
10:39 저희가 다시 예수를 잡고자 하였으나 그 손에서 벗어나 나가시니라
10:39 Then again they made an attempt to take him; but he got away from them.
10:39 Therefore they sought again to take him: but he escaped out of their
hand,
10:40 ○ 다시 요단 강 저편 요한이 처음으로 세례 주던 곳에 가사 거기 거하시니
10:40 And he went again to the other side of the Jordan, to the place where John first
gave baptism; and he was there for a time.
10:40 And went away again beyond Jordan into the place where John at first
baptized; and there he abode.
10:41 많은 사람이 왔다가 말하되 요한은 아무 표적도 행치 아니하였으나 요한이
이 사람을 가리켜 말한 것은 다 참이라 하더라
10:41 And a great number of people came to him, saying, John did no sign: but everything
John said of this man was true.
10:41 And many resorted unto him, and said, John did no miracle: but all
things that John spoke of this man were true.
10:42 그리하여 거기서 많은 사람이 예수를 믿으니라
10:42 And a number came to have faith in him there.
10:42 And many believed on him there.
11:1 어떤 병든 자가 있으니 이는 마리아와 그 형제 마르다의 촌 베다니에 사는
나사로라
11:1 Now a certain man named Lazarus was ill; he was of Bethany, the town of Mary and
her sister Martha.
11:1 Now a certain man was sick, named Lazarus, of Bethany, the town of Mary
and her sister Martha.
11:2 이 마리아는 향유를 주께 붓고 머리털로 주의 발을 씻기던 자요 병든 나사로는
그의 오라비러라
11:2 (The Mary whose brother Lazarus was ill, was the Mary who put perfumed oil on the
Lord and made his feet dry with her hair.)
11:2 (It was that Mary which anointed the Lord with ointment, and wiped his
feet with her hair, whose brother Lazarus was sick.)
11:3 이에 그 누이들이 예수께 사람을 보내어 가로되 주여 보시옵소서 사랑하시는
자가 병들었나이다 하니
11:3 So the sisters sent to him, saying, Lord, your dear friend is ill.
11:3 Therefore his sisters sent unto him, saying, Lord, behold, he whom you
love is sick.
11:4 예수께서 들으시고 가라사대 이 병은 죽을 병이 아니라 하나님의 영광을
위함이요 하나님의 아들로 이를 인하여 영광을 얻게 하려 함이라 하시더라
11:4 When this came to his ears, Jesus said, The end of this disease is not death, but
the glory of God, so that the Son of God may have glory because of it.
11:4 When Jesus heard that, he said, This sickness is not unto death, but
for the glory of God, that the Son of God might be glorified thereby.
11:5 예수께서 본래 마르다와 그 동생과 나사로를 사랑하시더니
11:5 Now Jesus had love in his heart for Martha and her sister and Lazarus.
11:5 Now Jesus loved Martha, and her sister, and Lazarus.
11:6 나사로가 병들었다 함을 들으시고 그 계시던 곳에 이틀을 더 유하시고
11:6 So when the news came to him that Lazarus was ill, he did not go from the place
where he was for two days.
11:6 When he had heard therefore that he was sick, he abode two days still
in the same place where he was.
11:7 그 후에 제자들에게 이르시되 유대로 다시 가자 하시니
11:7 Then after that time he said to his disciples, Let us go into Judaea again.
11:7 Then after that says he to his disciples, Let us go into Judaea again.
11:8 제자들이 말하되 랍비여 방금도 유대인들이 돌로 치려 하였는데 또 그리로
가시려 하나이까
11:8 The disciples said to him, Master, the Jews were attempting only the other day to
have you stoned, and are you going back there again?
11:8 His disciples say unto him, Master, the Jews of late sought to stone
you; and go you thither again?
11:9 예수께서 대답하시되 낮이 열 두시가 아니냐 사람이 낮에 다니면 이 세상의
빛을 보므로 실족하지 아니하고
11:9 Then Jesus said in answer, Are there not twelve hours in the day? A man may go about
in the day without falling, because he sees the light of this world.
11:9 Jesus answered, Are there not twelve hours in the day? If any man walk
in the day, he stumbles not, because he sees the light of this world.
11:10 밤에 다니면 빛이 그 사람 안에 없는 고로 실족하느니라
11:10 But if a man goes about in the night, he may have a fall because the light is not
in him.
11:10 But if a man walk in the night, he stumbles, because there is no light
in him.
11:11 이 말씀을 하신 후에 또 가라사대 우리 친구 나사로가 잠들었도다 그러나
내가 깨우러 가노라
11:11 These things said he: and after that he said to them, Lazarus our friend is at rest;
but I go so that I may make him come out of his sleep.
11:11 These things said he: and after that he says unto them, Our friend
Lazarus sleeps; but I go, that I may awake him out of sleep.
11:12 제자들이 가로되 주여 잠들었으면 낫겠나이다 하더라
11:12 Then his disciples said to him, Lord, if he is resting he will get well.
11:12 Then said his disciples, Lord, if he sleep, he shall do well.
11:13 예수는 그의 죽음을 가리켜 말씀하신 것이나 저희는 잠들어 쉬는 것을 가리켜
말씀하심인 줄 생각하는지라
11:13 Jesus, however, was talking of his death: but they had the idea that he was talking
about taking rest in sleep.
11:13 Nevertheless Jesus spoke of his death: but they thought that he had
spoken of taking of rest in sleep.
11:14 이에 예수께서 밝히 이르시되 나사로가 죽었느니라
11:14 Then Jesus said to them clearly, Lazarus is dead.
11:14 Then said Jesus unto them plainly, Lazarus is dead.
11:15 내가 거기 있지 아니한 것을 너희를 위하여 기뻐하노니 이는 너희로 믿게
하려 함이라 그러나 그에게로 가자 하신대
11:15 And because of you I am glad I was not there, so that you may have faith; but let
us go to him.
11:15 And I am glad for your sakes that I was not there, to the intent all
of you may believe; nevertheless let us go unto him.
11:16 디두모라 하는 도마가 다른 제자들에게 말하되 우리도 주와 함께 죽으러
가자 하니라
11:16 Then Thomas, who was named Didymus, said to the other disciples, Let us go so that
we may be with him in death.
11:16 Then said Thomas, which is called Didymus, unto his fellow disciples,
Let us also go, that we may die with him.
11:17 ○ 예수께서 와서 보시니 나사로가 무덤에 있은 지 이미 나흘이라
11:17 Now when Jesus came, he made the discovery that Lazarus had been put into the earth
four days before.
11:17 Then when Jesus came, he found that he had lain in the grave four days
already.
11:18 베다니는 예루살렘에서 가깝기가 한 오리쯤 되매
11:18 Now Bethany was near to Jerusalem, about two miles away;
11:18 Now Bethany was nigh unto Jerusalem, about fifteen furlongs off:
11:19 많은 유대인이 마르다와 마리아에게 그 오라비의 일로 위문하러 왔더니
11:19 And a number of Jews had come to Martha and Mary to give them comfort about their
brother.
11:19 And many of the Jews came to Martha and Mary, to comfort them concerning
their brother.
11:20 마르다는 예수 오신다는 말을 듣고 곧 나가 맞되 마리아는 집에 앉았더라
11:20 When Martha had the news that Jesus was on the way, she went out to him, but Mary
did not go from the house.
11:20 Then Martha, as soon as she heard that Jesus was coming, went and met
him: but Mary sat still in the house.
11:21 마르다가 예수께 여짜오되 주께서 여기 계셨더면 내 오라비가 죽지 아니하였겠나이다
11:21 Then Martha said to Jesus, Lord, if you had been here my brother would not be dead.
11:21 Then said Martha unto Jesus, Lord, if you had been here, my brother
had not died.
11:22 그러나 나는 이제라도 주께서 무엇이든지 하나님께 구하시는 것을 하나님이
주실 줄을 아나이다
11:22 But I am certain that, even now, whatever request you make to God, God will give
it to you.
11:22 But I know, that even now, whatsoever you will ask of God, God will
give it you.
11:23 예수께서 가라사대 네 오라비가 다시 살리라
11:23 Jesus said to her, Your brother will come to life again.
11:23 Jesus says unto her, Your brother shall rise again.
11:24 마르다가 가로되 마지막 날 부활에는 다시 살 줄을 내가 아나이다
11:24 Martha said to him, I am certain that he will come to life again when all come back
from the dead at the last day.
11:24 Martha says unto him, I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection
at the last day.
11:25 예수께서 가라사대 나는 부활이요 생명이니 나를 믿는 자는 죽어도 살겠고
11:25 Jesus said to her, I am myself that day and that life; he who has faith in me will
have life even if he is dead;
11:25 Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believes
in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:
11:26 무릇 살아서 나를 믿는 자는 영원히 죽지 아니하리니 이것을 네가 믿느냐
11:26 And no one who is living and has faith in me will ever see death. Is this your faith?
11:26 And whosoever lives and believes in me shall never die. Believe you
this?
11:27 가로되 주여 그러하외다 주는 그리스도시요 세상에 오시는 하나님의 아들이신
줄
내가 믿나이다
11:27 She said to him, Yes, Lord: my faith is that you are the Christ, the Son of God,
who was to come into the world.
11:27 She says unto him, Yea, Lord: I believe that you are the Christ, the
Son of God, which should come into the world.
11:28 이 말을 하고 돌아가서 가만히 그 형제 마리아를 불러 말하되 선생님이
오셔서 너를 부르신다 하니
11:28 And having said this, she went away and said secretly to her sister Mary, The Master
is here and has sent for you.
11:28 And when she had so said, she went her way, and called Mary her sister
secretly, saying, The Master has come, and calls for you.
11:29 마리아가 이 말을 듣고 급히 일어나 예수께 나아가매
11:29 And Mary, hearing this, got up quickly and went to him.
11:29 As soon as she heard that, she arose quickly, and came unto him.
11:30 예수는 아직 마을로 들어오지 아니하시고 마르다의 맞던 곳에 그저 계시더라
11:30 Now Jesus had not at this time come into the town, but was still in the place where
Martha had seen him.
11:30 Now Jesus was not yet come into the town, but was in that place where
Martha met him.
11:31 마리아와 함께 집에 있어 위로하던 유대인들은 그의 급히 일어나 나가는
것을 보고 곡하러 무덤에 가는 줄로 생각하고 따라가더니
11:31 Then the Jews who were with her in the house, comforting her, when they saw Mary
get up quickly and go out, went after her in the belief that she was going to the
place of the dead and would be weeping there.
11:31 The Jews then which were with her in the house, and comforted her,
when they saw Mary, that she rose up hastily and went out, followed her, saying,
She goes unto the grave to weep there.
11:32 마리아가 예수 계신 곳에 와서 보이고 그 발 앞에 엎드리어 가로되 주께서
여기 계셨더면 내 오라비가 죽지 아니하였겠나이다 하더라
11:32 When Mary came to where Jesus was and saw him, she went down at his feet, saying,
Lord, if you had been here my brother would not be dead.
11:32 Then when Mary was come where Jesus was, and saw him, she fell down
at his feet, saying unto him, Lord, if you had been here, my brother had not
died.
11:33 예수께서 그의 우는 것과 또 함께 온 유대인들의 우는 것을 보시고 심령에
통분히 여기시고 민망히 여기사
11:33 And when Jesus saw her weeping, and saw the Jews weeping who came with her, his
spirit was moved and he was troubled,
11:33 When Jesus therefore saw her weeping, and the Jews also weeping which
came with her, he groaned in the spirit, (o. pneuma) and was troubled.
11:34 가라사대 그를 어디 두었느냐 가로되 주여 와서 보옵소서 하니
11:34 And said, Where have you put him? They said, Come and see, Lord.
11:34 And said, Where have all of you laid him? They said unto him, Lord,
come and see.
11:35 예수께서 눈물을 흘리시더라
11:35 And Jesus himself was weeping.
11:35 Jesus wept.
11:36 이에 유대인들이 말하되 보라 그를 어떻게 사랑하였는가 하며
11:36 So the Jews said, See how dear he was to him!
11:36 Then said the Jews, Behold how he loved him!
11:37 그 중 어떤 이는 말하되 소경의 눈을 뜨게 한 이 사람이 그 사람은 죽지
않게 할 수 없었더냐 하더라
11:37 But some of them said, This man, who made open the eyes of the blind man, was he
not able to keep his friend from death?
11:37 And some of them said, Could not this man, which opened the eyes of
the blind, have caused that even this man should not have died?
11:38 이에 예수께서 다시 속으로 통분히 여기시며 무덤에 가시니 무덤이 굴이라
돌로 막았거늘
11:38 So Jesus, deeply troubled in heart, came to the place of the dead. It was a hole
in the rock, and a stone was over the opening.
11:38 Jesus therefore again groaning in himself comes to the grave. It was
a cave, and a stone lay upon it.
11:39 예수께서 가라사대 돌을 옮겨 놓으라 하시니 그 죽은 자의 누이 마르다가
가로되 주여 죽은 지가 나흘이 되었으매 벌써 냄새가 나나이다
11:39 Jesus said, Take away the stone. Martha, the sister of him who was dead, said, Lord,
by this time the body will be smelling, for he has been dead four days.
11:39 Jesus said, Take all of you away the stone. Martha, the sister of him
that was dead, says unto him, Lord, by this time he stinks: for he has been
dead four days.
11:40 예수께서 가라사대 내 말이 네가 믿으면 하나님의 영광을 보리라 하지 아니하였느냐
하신대
11:40 Jesus said to her, Did I not say to you that if you had faith you would see the
glory of God?
11:40 Jesus says unto her, Said I not unto you, that, if you would believe,
you should see the glory of God?
11:41 돌을 옮겨 놓으니 예수께서 눈을 들어 우러러 보시고 가라사대 아버지여
내 말을 들으신 것을 감사하나이다
11:41 So they took away the stone. And Jesus, looking up to heaven, said, Father, I give
praise to you for hearing me.
11:41 Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead was laid.
And Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, Father, I thank you that you have heard
me.
11:42 항상 내 말을 들으시는 줄을 내가 알았나이다 그러나 이 말씀 하옵는 것은
둘러선 무리를 위함이니 곧 아버지께서 나를 보내신 것을 저희로 믿게 하려 함이니이다
11:42 I was certain that your ears are at all times open to me, but I said it because
of these who are here, so that they may see that you sent me.
11:42 And I knew that you hear me always: but because of the people which
stand by I said it, that they may believe that you have sent me.
11:43 이 말씀을 하시고 큰 소리로 나사로야 나오라 부르시니
11:43 Then he said in a loud voice, Lazarus, come out!
11:43 And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come
forth.
11:44 죽은 자가 수족을 베로 동인 채로 나오는데 그 얼굴은 수건에 싸였더라 예수께서
가라사대 풀어 놓아 다니게 하라 하시니라
11:44 And he who was dead came out, with linen bands folded tightly about his hands and
feet, and a cloth about his face. Jesus said to them, Make him free and let him
go.
11:44 And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with grave clothes:
and his face was bound about with a cloth. Jesus says unto them, Loose him,
and let him go.
11:45 ○ 마리아에게 와서 예수의 하신 일을 본 많은 유대인이 저를 믿었으나
11:45 Then a number of the Jews who had come to Mary and had seen the things which Jesus
did had belief in him.
11:45 Then many of the Jews which came to Mary, and had seen the things which
Jesus did, believed on him.
11:46 그 중에 어떤 자는 바리새인들에게 가서 예수의 하신 일을 고하니라
11:46 But some of them went to the Pharisees with the news of what Jesus had done.
11:46 But some of them went their ways to the Pharisees, and told them what
things Jesus had done.
11:47 ○ 이에 대제사장들과 바리새인들이 공회를 모으고 가로되 이 사람이 많은
표적을 행하니 우리가 어떻게 하겠느냐
11:47 Then the high priests and the Pharisees had a meeting and said, What are we doing?
This man is doing a number of signs.
11:47 Then gathered the chief priests and the Pharisees a council, and said,
What do we? for this man does many miracles.
11:48 만일 저를 이대로 두면 모든 사람이 저를 믿을 것이요 그리고 로마인들이
와서 우리 땅과 민족을 빼앗아 가리라 하니
11:48 If we let him go on in this way, everybody will have belief in him and the Romans
will come and take away our place and our nation.
11:48 If we let him thus alone, all men will believe on him: and the Romans
shall come and take away both our place and nation.
11:49 그 중에 한 사람 그 해 대제사장인 가야바가 저희에게 말하되 너희가 아무
것도 알지 못하는도다
11:49 But one of them, Caiaphas, who was high priest that year, said to them, You have
no knowledge of anything;
11:49 And one of them, named Caiaphas, being the high priest that same year,
said unto them, All of you know nothing at all,
11:50 한 사람이 백성을 위하여 죽어서 온 민족이 망하지 않게 되는 것이 너희에게
유익한 줄을 생각지 아니하는도다 하였으니
11:50 You do not see that it is in your interest for one man to be put to death for the
people, so that all the nation may not come to destruction.
11:50 Nor consider that it is expedient for us, that one man should die for
the people, and that the whole nation perish not.
11:51 이 말은 스스로 함이 아니요 그 해에 대제사장이므로 예수께서 그 민족을
위하시고
11:51 He did not say this of himself, but being the high priest that year he said, as
a prophet, that Jesus would be put to death for the nation;
11:51 And this spoke he not of himself: but being high priest that year,
he prophesied that Jesus should die for that nation;
11:52 또 그 민족만 위할 뿐 아니라 흩어진 하나님의 자녀를 모아 하나가 되게
하기 위하여 죽으실 것을 미리 말함이러라
11:52 And not for that nation only, but for the purpose of uniting in one body the children
of God all over the world.
11:52 And not for that nation only, but that also he should gather together
in one the children of God that were scattered abroad.
11:53 이 날부터는 저희가 예수를 죽이려고 모의하니라
11:53 And from that day they took thought together how to put him to death.
11:53 Then from that day forth they took counsel together in order to put
him to death.
11:54 ○ 그러므로 예수께서 다시 유대인 가운데 드러나게 다니지 아니하시고
여기를 떠나 빈 들 가까운 곳인 에브라임이라는 동네에 가서 제자들과 함께 거기
유하시니라
11:54 So Jesus no longer went about publicly among the Jews, but went from there into
the country near to the waste land, to a town named Ephraim, where he was for some
time with the disciples.
11:54 Jesus therefore walked no more openly among the Jews; but went thence
unto a country near to the wilderness, into a city called Ephraim, and there
continued with his disciples.
11:55 유대인의 유월절이 가까우매 많은 사람이 자기를 성결케 하기 위하여 유월절
전에 시골서 예루살렘으로 올라갔더니
11:55 Now the Passover of the Jews was near, and numbers of people went up from the country
to Jerusalem to make themselves clean before the Passover.
11:55 And the Jews' passover was nigh at hand: and many went out of the country
up to Jerusalem before the passover, to purify themselves.
11:56 저희가 예수를 찾으며 성전에 서서 서로 말하되 너희 생각에는 어떠하뇨
저가 명절에 오지 아니하겠느냐 하니
11:56 They were looking for Jesus and saying to one another while they were in the Temple,
What is your opinion? Will he not come to the feast?
11:56 Then sought they for Jesus, and spoke among themselves, as they stood
in the temple, What think all of you, that he will not come to the feast?
11:57 이는 대제사장들과 바리새인들이 누구든지 예수 있는 곳을 알거든 고하여
잡게 하라 명령하였음이러라
11:57 Now the chief priests and the Pharisees had given orders that if anyone had knowledge
where he was, he was to give them word, so that they might take him.
11:57 Now both the chief priests and the Pharisees had given a commandment,
that, if any man knew where he were, he should show it, that they might take
him.
12:1 유월절 엿새 전에 예수께서 베다니에 이르시니 이곳은 예수께서 죽은 자
가운데서 살리신 나사로의 있는 곳이라
12:1 Then, six days before the Passover, Jesus came to Bethany where Lazarus was, whom
Jesus had made to come back from the dead.
12:1 Then Jesus six days before the passover came to Bethany, where Lazarus
was, which had been dead, whom he raised from the dead.
12:2 거기서 예수를 위하여 잔치할새 마르다는 일을 보고 나사로는 예수와 함께
앉은 자 중에 있더라
12:2 So they made him a meal there, and he was waited on by Martha, and Lazarus was among
those who were seated with him at table.
12:2 There they made him a supper; and Martha served: but Lazarus was one
of them that sat at the table with him.
12:3 마리아는 지극히 비싼 향유 곧 순전한 나드 한 근을 가져다가 예수의 발에
붓고 자기 머리털로 그의 발을 씻으니 향유 냄새가 집에 가득하더라
12:3 Then Mary, taking a pound of perfumed oil of great value, put it on the feet of
Jesus and made them dry with her hair: and the house became full of the smell of
the perfume.
12:3 Then took Mary a pound of ointment of spikenard, very costly, and anointed
the feet of Jesus, and wiped his feet with her hair: and the house was filled
with the odour of the ointment.
12:4 제자 중 하나로서 예수를 잡아 줄 가룟 유다가 말하되
12:4 But one of his disciples, Judas Iscariot (who was to give him up), said,
12:4 Then says one of his disciples, Judas Iscariot, Simon's son, which should
betray him,
12:5 이 향유를 어찌하여 삼백 데나리온에 팔아 가난한 자들에게 주지 아니하였느냐
하니
12:5 Why was not this perfume traded for three hundred pence, and the money given to
the poor?
12:5 Why was not this ointment sold for three hundred pence, and given to
the poor?
12:6 이렇게 말함은 가난한 자들을 생각함이 아니요 저는 도적이라 돈 궤를 맡고
거기 넣는 것을 훔쳐 감이러라
12:6 (He said this, not because he had any love for the poor; but because he was a thief,
and, having the money-bag, took for himself what was put into it.)
12:6 This he said, not that he cared for the poor; but because he was a thief,
and had the bag, and bare what was put therein.
12:7 예수께서 가라사대 저를 가만 두어 나의 장사할 날을 위하여 이를 두게 하라
12:7 Then Jesus said, Let her be. Let her keep what she has for the day of my death.
12:7 Then said Jesus, Let her alone: against the day of my burying has she
kept this.
12:8 가난한 자들은 항상 너희와 함께 있거니와 나는 항상 있지 아니하리라 하시니라
12:8 The poor you have ever with you, but me you have not for ever.
12:8 For the poor always all of you have with you; but me all of you have
not always.
12:9 ○ 유대인의 큰 무리가 예수께서 여기 계신 줄을 알고 오니 이는 예수만 위함이
아니요 죽은 자 가운데서 살리신 나사로도 보려 함이러라
12:9 Then a great number of the Jews had news that he was there: and they came, not only
because of Jesus, but so that they might see Lazarus who had been dead and to whom
he had given life.
12:9 Much people of the Jews therefore knew that he was there: and they came
not for Jesus' sake only, but that they might see Lazarus also, whom he had
raised from the dead.
12:10 대제사장들이 나사로까지 죽이려고 모의하니
12:10 Now there was talk among the chief priests of putting Lazarus to death;
12:10 But the chief priests consulted that they might put Lazarus also to
death;
12:11 나사로 까닭에 많은 유대인이 가서 예수를 믿음이러라
12:11 For because of him a great number of the Jews went away and had belief in Jesus.
12:11 Because that by reason of him many of the Jews went away, and believed
on Jesus.
12:12 ○ 그 이튿날에는 명절에 온 큰 무리가 예수께서 예루살렘으로 오신다 함을
듣고
12:12 The day after, a great number of people who were there for the feast, when they
had the news that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem,
12:12 On the next day much people that were come to the feast, when they
heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem,
12:13 종려나무 가지를 가지고 맞으러 나가 외치되 호산나 찬송하리로다 주의
이름으로 오시는 이 곧 이스라엘의 왕이시여 하더라
12:13 Took branches of palm-trees and went out to him, crying, A blessing on him who comes
in the name of the Lord, the King of Israel!
12:13 Took branches of palm trees, and went forth to meet him, and cried,
Hosanna: Blessed is the King of Israel that comes in the name of the Lord.
12:14 예수는 한 어린 나귀를 만나서 타시니
12:14 And Jesus saw a young ass and took his seat on it; as the Writings say,
12:14 And Jesus, when he had found a young ass, sat thereon; as it is written,
12:15 이는 기록된 바 시온 딸아 두려워 말라 보라 너의 왕이 나귀 새끼를 타고
오신다 함과 같더라
12:15 Have no fear, daughter of Zion: see your King is coming, seated on a young ass.
12:15 Fear not, daughter of Sion: behold, your King comes, sitting on an
ass's colt.
12:16 제자들은 처음에 이 일을 깨닫지 못하였다가 예수께서 영광을 얻으신 후에야
이것이 예수께 대하여 기록된 것임과 사람들이 예수께 이같이 한 것인 줄 생각났더라
12:16 (These things were not clear to his disciples at first: but when Jesus had been
lifted up into his glory, then it came to their minds that these things in the Writings
were about him and that they had been done to him.)
12:16 These things understood not his disciples at the first: but when Jesus
was glorified, then remembered they that these things were written of him, and
that they had done these things unto him.
12:17 나사로를 무덤에서 불러내어 죽은 자 가운데서 살리실 때에 함께 있던 무리가
증거한지라
12:17 Now the people who were with him when his voice came to Lazarus in the place of
the dead, and gave him life again, had been talking about it.
12:17 The people therefore that was with him when he called Lazarus out of
his grave, and raised him from the dead, bare record.
12:18 이에 무리가 예수를 맞음은 이 표적 행하심을 들었음이러라
12:18 And that was the reason the people went out to him, because it had come to their
ears that he had done this sign.
12:18 For this cause the people also met him, for that they heard that he
had done this miracle.
12:19 바리새인들이 서로 말하되 볼지어다 너희 하는 일이 쓸 데 없다 보라 온
세상이 저를 좇는도다 하니라
12:19 Then the Pharisees said one to another, You see, you are unable to do anything:
the world has gone after him.
12:19 The Pharisees therefore said among themselves, Perceive all of you
how all of you prevail nothing? behold, the world is gone after him.
12:20 ○ 명절에 예배하러 올라온 사람 중에 헬라인 몇이 있는데
12:20 Now there were some Greeks among the people who had come up to give worship at the
feast:
12:20 And there were certain Greeks among them that came up to worship at
the feast:
12:21 저희가 갈릴리 벳새다 사람 빌립에게 가서 청하여 가로되 선생이여 우리가
예수를 뵈옵고자 하나이다 하니
12:21 They came to Philip, who was of Beth-saida in Galilee, and made a request, saying,
Sir, we have a desire to see Jesus.
12:21 The same came therefore to Philip, which was of Bethsaida of Galilee,
and desired him, saying, Sir, we would see Jesus.
12:22 빌립이 안드레에게 가서 말하고 안드레와 빌립이 예수께 가서 여짜온대
12:22 Philip went and gave word of it to Andrew; and Andrew went with Philip to Jesus.
12:22 Philip comes and tells Andrew: and again Andrew and Philip tell Jesus.
12:23 예수께서 대답하여 가라사대 인자의 영광을 얻을 때가 왔도다
12:23 And Jesus said to them in answer, The hour of the glory of the Son of man has come.
12:23 And Jesus answered them, saying, The hour has come, that the Son of
man should be glorified.
12:24 내가 진실로 진실로 너희에게 이르노니 한 알의 밀이 땅에 떨어져 죽지
아니하면 한 알 그대로 있고 죽으면 많은 열매를 맺느니라
12:24 Truly I say to you, If a seed of grain does not go into the earth and come to an
end, it is still a seed and no more; but through its death it gives much fruit.
12:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the
ground and die, it abides alone: but if it die, it brings forth much fruit.
12:25 자기 생명을 사랑하는 자는 잃어버릴 것이요 이 세상에서 자기 생명을 미워하는
자는 영생하도록 보존하리라
12:25 He who is in love with life will have it taken from him; and he who has no care
for his life in this world will keep it for ever and ever.
12:25 He that loves his life shall lose it; and he that hates his life in
this world shall keep it unto life eternal.
12:26 사람이 나를 섬기려면 나를 따르라 나 있는 곳에 나를 섬기는 자도 거기
있으리니 사람이 나를 섬기면 내 아버지께서 저를 귀히 여기시리라
12:26 If any man is my servant, let him come after me; and where I am, there will my servant
be. If any man becomes my servant, my Father will give him honour.
12:26 If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall
also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour.
12:27 지금 내 마음이 민망하니 무슨 말을 하리요 아버지여 나를 구원하여 이때를 면하게 하여 주옵소서 그러나 내가 이를 위하여 이때에 왔나이다
12:27 Now is my soul troubled; and what am I to say? Father, keep me from this hour. No:
for this purpose have I come to this hour.
12:27 Now is my soul troubled; and what shall I say? Father, save me from
this hour: but for this cause came I unto this hour.
12:28 아버지여 아버지의 이름을 영광스럽게 하옵소서 하시니 이에 하늘에서 소리가
나서 가로되 내가 이미 영광스럽게 하였고 또 다시 영광스럽게 하리라 하신대
12:28 Father, give glory to your name. Then there came a voice out of heaven, saying,
I have given it glory, and I will give it glory again.
12:28 Father, glorify your name. Then came there a voice from heaven, saying,
I have both glorified it, and will glorify it again.
12:29 곁에 서서 들은 무리는 우뢰가 울었다고도 하며 또 어떤 이들은 천사가 저에게
말하였다고도 하니
12:29 Hearing the sound, a number of people who were there said that it was thunder: others
said, An angel was talking to him.
12:29 The people therefore, that stood by, and heard it, said that it thundered:
others said, An angel spoke to him.
12:30 예수께서 대답하여 가라사대 이 소리가 난 것은 나를 위한 것이 아니요
너희를 위한 것이니라
12:30 Jesus said in answer, This voice came not for me but for you.
12:30 Jesus answered and said, This voice came not because of me, but for
your sakes.
12:31 이제 이 세상의 심판이 이르렀으니 이 세상 임금이 쫓겨나리라
12:31 Now is this world to be judged: now will the ruler of this world be sent out.
12:31 Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world
be cast out.
12:32 내가 땅에서 들리면 모든 사람을 내게로 이끌겠노라 하시니
12:32 And I, if I am lifted up from the earth, will make all men come to me.
12:32 And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.
12:33 이렇게 말씀하심은 자기가 어떠한 죽음으로 죽을 것을 보이심이러라
12:33 (This he said, pointing to the sort of death he would have.)
12:33 This he said, signifying what death he should die.
12:34 이에 무리가 대답하되 우리는 율법에서 그리스도가 영원히 계신다 함을
들었거늘 너는 어찌하여 인자가 들려야 하리라 하느냐 이 인자는 누구냐
12:34 Then the people in answer said to him, The law says that the Christ will have life
without end: how say you then that it is necessary for the Son of man to be lifted
up? Who is this Son of man?
12:34 The people answered him, We have heard out of the law that Christ abides
for ever: and how says you, The Son of man must be lifted up? who is this Son
of man?
12:35 예수께서 가라사대 아직 잠시 동안 빛이 너희 중에 있으니 빛이 있을 동안에
다녀 어두움에 붙잡히지 않게 하라 어두움에 다니는 자는 그 가는 바를 알지 못하느니라
12:35 Jesus said to them, For a little time longer the light will be among you; while
you have the light go on walking in it, so that the dark may not overtake you: one
walking in the dark has no knowledge of where he is going.
12:35 Then Jesus said unto them, Yet a little while is the light with you.
Walk while all of you have the light, lest darkness come upon you: for he that
walks in darkness knows not where he goes.
12:36 너희에게 아직 빛이 있을 동안에 빛을 믿으라 그리하면 빛의 아들이 되리라
○ 예수께서 이 말씀을 하시고 저희를 떠나가서 숨으시니라
12:36 In so far as you have the light, put your faith in the light so that you may become
sons of light. With these words Jesus went away and for a time was not seen again
by them.
12:36 While all of you have light, believe in the light, that all of you
may be the children of light. These things spoke Jesus, and departed, and did
hide himself from them.
12:37 이렇게 많은 표적을 저희 앞에서 행하셨으나 저를 믿지 아니하니
12:37 But though he had done such a number of signs before them, they still had no belief
in him:
12:37 But though he had done so many miracles before them, yet they believed
not on him:
12:38 이는 선지자 이사야의 말씀을 이루려 하심이라 가로되 주여 우리에게
들은 바를 누가 믿었으며 주의 팔이 뉘게 나타났나이까 하였더라
12:38 So that the words of the prophet Isaiah might come true, when he said, Lord, who
has any belief in our preaching? and the arm of the Lord, to whom has it been unveiled?
12:38 That the saying (o. logos) of Isaiah the prophet might be fulfilled,
which he spoke, Lord, who has believed our report? and to whom has the arm of
the Lord been revealed?
12:39 저희가 능히 믿지 못한 것은 이 까닭이니 곧 이사야가 다시 일렀으되
12:39 For this reason they were unable to have belief, because Isaiah said again,
12:39 Therefore they could not believe, because that Isaiah said again,
12:40 저희 눈을 멀게 하시고 저희 마음을 완고하게 하셨으니 이는 저희로
하여금 눈으로 보고 마음으로 깨닫고 돌이켜 내게 고침을 받지 못하게 하려 함이니라
하였음이더라
12:40 He has made their eyes blind, and their hearts hard; for fear that they might see
with their eyes and get knowledge with their hearts, and be changed, and I might
make them well.
12:40 He has blinded their eyes, and hardened their heart; that they should
not see with their eyes, nor understand with their heart, and be converted,
and I should heal them.
12:41 이사야가 이렇게 말한 것은 주의 영광을 보고 주를 가리켜 말한 것이라
12:41 (Isaiah said these words because he saw his glory. His words were about him.)
12:41 These things said Isaiah, when he saw his glory, and spoke of him.
12:42 그러나 관원 중에도 저를 믿는 자가 많되 바리새인들을 인하여 드러나게
말하지 못하니 이는 출회를 당할까 두려워함이라
12:42 However, a number even of the rulers had belief in him, but because of the Pharisees
they did not say so openly for fear that they might be shut out from the Synagogue:
12:42 Nevertheless among the chief rulers also many believed on him; but
because of the Pharisees they did not confess him, lest they should be put out
of the synagogue:
12:43 저희는 사람의 영광을 하나님의 영광보다 더 사랑하였더라
12:43 For the praise of men was dearer to them than the approval of God.
12:43 For they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God.
12:44 ○ 예수께서 외쳐 가라사대 나를 믿는 자는 나를 믿는 것이 아니요 나를
보내신 이를 믿는 것이며
12:44 Then Jesus said with a loud voice, He who has faith in me, has faith not in me,
but in him who sent me.
12:44 Jesus cried and said, He that believes on me, believes not on me, but
on him that sent me.
12:45 나를 보는 자는 나를 보내신 이를 보는 것이니라
12:45 And he who sees me, sees him who sent me.
12:45 And he that sees me sees him that sent me.
12:46 나는 빛으로 세상에 왔나니 무릇 나를 믿는 자로 어두움에 거하지 않게
하려 함이로라
12:46 I have come as a light into the world, so that no one who has faith in me will go
on living in the dark.
12:46 I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believes on me should
not abide in darkness.
12:47 사람이 내 말을 듣고 지키지 아니할지라도 내가 저를 심판하지 아니하노라
내가 온 것은 세상을 심판하려 함이 아니요 세상을 구원하려 함이로라
12:47 And if any man gives ear to my words and does not keep them, I am not his judge:
I did not come to be judge of the world but to give salvation to the world.
12:47 And if any man hear my words, (o. rhema) and believe not, I judge him
not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.
12:48 나를 저버리고 내 말을 받지 아니하는 자를 심판할 이가 있으니 곧 나의
한 그 말이 마지막 날에 저를 심판하리라
12:48 He who puts me on one side and does not take my words to heart, is not without a
judge: the word which I have said will be his judge on the last day.
12:48 He that rejects me, and receives not my words, (o. rhema) has one that
judges him: the word (o. logos) that I have spoken, the same shall judge him
in the last day.
12:49 내가 내 자의로 말한 것이 아니요 나를 보내신 아버지께서 나의 말할 것과
이를 것을 친히 명령하여 주셨으니
12:49 For I have not said it on my authority, but the Father who sent me gave me orders
what to say and how to say it.
12:49 For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave
me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak.
12:50 나는 그의 명령이 영생인 줄 아노라 그러므로 나의 이르는 것은 내 아버지께서
내게 말씀하신 그대로 이르노라 하시니라
12:50 And I have knowledge that his order is eternal life: so that the things which I
say, I say them even as the Father says them to me.
12:50 And I know that his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak
therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak.
13:1 유월절 전에 예수께서 자기가 세상을 떠나 아버지께로 돌아가실 때가 이른 줄
아시고 세상에 있는 자기 사람들을 사랑하시되 끝까지 사랑하시니라
13:1 Now before the feast of the Passover, it was clear to Jesus that the time had come
for him to go away from this world to the Father. Having once had love for those
in the world who were his, his love for them went on to the end.
13:1 Now before the feast of the passover, when Jesus knew that his hour
was come that he should depart out of this world unto the Father, having loved
his own which were in the world, he loved them unto the end.
13:2 마귀가 벌써 시몬의 아들 가룟 유다의 마음에 예수를 팔려는 생각을 넣었더니
13:2 So while a meal was going on, the Evil One having now put it into the heart of Judas
Iscariot, Simon's son, to be false to him,
13:2 And supper being ended, the devil having now put into the heart of Judas
Iscariot, Simon's son, to betray him;
13:3 저녁 먹는 중 예수는 아버지께서 모든 것을 자기 손에 맡기신 것과 또 자기가
하나님께로부터 오셨다가 하나님께로 돌아가실 것을 아시고
13:3 Jesus, being conscious that the Father had put everything into his hands, and that
he came from God and was going to God,
13:3 Jesus knowing that the Father had given all things into his hands, and
that he was come from God, and went to God;
13:4 저녁 잡수시던 자리에서 일어나 겉옷을 벗고 수건을 가져다가 허리에 두르시고
13:4 Got up from table, put off his robe and took a cloth and put it round him.
13:4 He rises from supper, and laid aside his garments; and took a towel,
and girded himself.
13:5 이에 대야에 물을 담아 제자들의 발을 씻기시고 그 두르신 수건으로 씻기기를
시작하여
13:5 Then he put water into a basin and was washing the feet of the disciples and drying
them with the cloth which was round him.
13:5 After that he pours water into a basin, and began to wash the disciples'
feet, and to wipe them with the towel wherewith he was girded.
13:6 시몬 베드로에게 이르시니 가로되 주여 주께서 내 발을 씻기시나이까
13:6 So he came to Simon Peter. Peter said, Lord, are my feet to be washed by you?
13:6 Then comes he to Simon Peter: and Peter says unto him, Lord, do you
wash my feet?
13:7 예수께서 대답하여 가라사대 나의 하는 것을 네가 이제는 알지 못하나 이
후에는 알리라
13:7 And Jesus, answering, said to him, What I do is not clear to you now, but it will
be clear to you in time to come.
13:7 Jesus answered and said unto him, What I do you know not now; but you
shall know hereafter.
13:8 베드로가 가로되 내 발을 절대로 씻기지 못하시리이다 예수께서 대답하시되
내가 너를 씻기지 아니하면 네가 나와 상관이 없느니라
13:8 Peter said, I will never let my feet be washed by you, never. Jesus said in answer,
If I do not make you clean you have no part with me.
13:8 Peter says unto him, You shall never wash my feet. Jesus answered him,
If I wash you not, you have no part with me.
13:9 시몬 베드로가 가로되 주여 내 발 뿐 아니라 손과 머리도 씻겨 주옵소서
13:9 Simon Peter said to him, Lord, not my feet only, but my hands and my head.
13:9 Simon Peter says unto him, Lord, not my feet only, but also my hands
and my head.
13:10 예수께서 가라사대 이미 목욕한 자는 발 밖에 씻을 필요가 없느니라 온
몸이 깨끗하니라 너희가 깨끗하나 다는 아니니라 하시니
13:10 Jesus said to him, He who is bathed has need only to have his feet washed and then
he is clean all over: and you, my disciples, are clean, but not all of you.
13:10 Jesus says to him, He that is washed needs not save to wash his feet,
but is clean everything: and all of you are clean, but not all.
13:11 이는 자기를 팔 자가 누구인지 아심이라 그러므로 다는 깨끗지 아니하다
하시니라
13:11 (He had knowledge who was false to him; that is why he said, You are not all clean.)
13:11 For he knew who should betray him; therefore said he, All of you are
not all clean.
13:12 ○ 저희 발을 씻기신 후에 옷을 입으시고 다시 앉아 저희에게 이르시되
내가 너희에게 행한 것을 너희가 아느냐
13:12 Then, after washing their feet and putting on his robe again, he took his seat and
said to them, Do you see what I have done to you?
13:12 So after he had washed their feet, and had taken his garments, and
was set down again, he said unto them, Know all of you what I have done to you?
13:13 너희가 나를 선생이라 또는 주라 하니 너희 말이 옳도다 내가 그러하다
13:13 You give me the name of Master and Lord: and you are right; that is what I am.
13:13 All of you call me Master and Lord: and all of you say well; for so
I am.
13:14 내가 주와 또는 선생이 되어 너희 발을 씻겼으니 너희도 서로 발을 씻기는
것이 옳으니라
13:14 If then I, the Lord and the Master, have made your feet clean, it is right for you
to make one another's feet clean.
13:14 If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; all of you
also ought to wash one another's feet.
13:15 내가 너희에게 행한 것 같이 너희도 행하게 하려 하여 본을 보였노라
13:15 I have given you an example, so that you may do what I have done to you.
13:15 For I have given you an example, that all of you should do as I have
done to you.
13:16 내가 진실로 진실로 너희에게 이르노니 종이 상전보다 크지 못하고 보냄을
받은 자가 보낸 자보다 크지 못하니
13:16 Truly I say to you, A servant is not greater than his lord; and he who is sent is
not greater than the one who sent him.
13:16 Verily, verily, I say unto you, The servant is not greater than his
lord; neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him.
13:17 너희가 이것을 알고 행하면 복이 있으리라
13:17 If these things are clear to you, happy are you if you do them.
13:17 If all of you know these things, happy are all of you if all of you
do them.
13:18 내가 너희를 다 가리켜 말하는 것이 아니라 내가 나의 택한 자들이 누구인지
앎이라 그러나 내 떡을 먹는 자가 내게 발꿈치를 들었다 한 성경을 응하게 하려는
것이니라
13:18 I am not talking of you all: I have knowledge of my true disciples, but things are
as they are, so that the Writings may come true, The foot of him who takes bread
with me is lifted up against me.
13:18 I speak not of you all: I know whom I have chosen: but that the scripture
may be fulfilled, He that eats bread with me has lifted up his heel against
me.
13:19 지금부터 일이 이루기 전에 미리 너희에게 이름은 일이 이룰 때에 내가
그인 줄 너희로 믿게 하려 함이로라
13:19 From this time forward, I give you knowledge of things before they come about, so
that when they come about you may have belief that I am he.
13:19 Now I tell you before it come, that, when it has come to pass, all
of you may believe that I am he.
13:20 내가 진실로 진실로 너희에게 이르노니 나의 보낸 자를 영접하는 자는 나를
영접하는 것이요 나를 영접하는 자는 나를 보내신 이를 영접하는 것이니라
13:20 Truly I say to you, He who takes to his heart anyone whom I send, takes me to his
heart; and he who so takes me, takes him who sent me.
13:20 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that receives whomsoever I send
receives me; and he that receives me receives him that sent me.
13:21 ○ 예수께서 이 말씀을 하시고 심령에 민망하여 증거하여 가라사대 내가
진실로 진실로 너희에게 이르노니 너희 중 하나가 나를 팔리라 하시니
13:21 When Jesus had said this he was troubled in spirit, and gave witness, saying, Truly
I say to you, that one of you will be false to me.
13:21 When Jesus had thus said, he was troubled in spirit, (o. pneuma) and
testified, and said, Verily, verily, I say unto you, that one of you shall betray
me.
13:22 제자들이 서로 보며 뉘게 대하여 말씀하시는지 의심하더라
13:22 Then the eyes of the disciples were turned on one another, in doubt as to whom he
had in mind.
13:22 Then the disciples looked one on another, doubting of whom he spoke.
13:23 예수의 제자 중 하나 곧 그의 사랑하시는 자가 예수의 품에 의지하여 누웠는지라
13:23 There was at table one of his disciples, the one dear to Jesus, resting his head
on Jesus' breast.
13:23 Now there was leaning on Jesus' bosom one of his disciples, whom Jesus
loved.
13:24 시몬 베드로가 머릿짓을 하여 말하되 말씀하신 자가 누구인지 말하라 한
대
13:24 Making a sign to him, Simon Peter said, Who is it he is talking about?
13:24 Simon Peter therefore beckoned to him, that he should ask who it should
be of whom he spoke.
13:25 그가 예수의 가슴에 그대로 의지하여 말하되 주여 누구오니이까
13:25 He, then, resting his head on Jesus' breast, said to him, Lord, who is it?
13:25 He then lying on Jesus' breast says unto him, Lord, who is it?
13:26 예수께서 대답하시되 내가 한 조각을 찍어다가 주는 자가 그니라 하시고
곧 한 조각을 찍으셔다가 가룟 시몬의 아들 유다를 주시니
13:26 This was the answer Jesus gave: It is the one to whom I will give this bit of bread
after I have put it in the vessel. Then he took the bit of bread, put it into the
vessel, and gave it to Judas, the son of Simon Iscariot.
13:26 Jesus answered, He it is, to whom I shall give a morsel, when I have
dipped it. And when he had dipped the morsel, he gave it to Judas Iscariot,
the son of Simon.
13:27 조각을 받은 후 곧 사단이 그 속에 들어간지라 이에 예수께서 유다에게
이르시되 네 하는 일을 속히 하라 하시니
13:27 And when Judas took the bread Satan went into him. Then Jesus said to him, Do quickly
what you have to do.
13:27 And after the morsel Satan entered into him. Then said Jesus unto him,
That you do, do quickly.
13:28 이 말씀을 무슨 뜻으로 하셨는지 그 앉은 자 중에 아는 이가 없고
13:28 Now it was not clear to anyone at table why he said this to him.
13:28 Now no man at the table knew for what intent he spoke this unto him.
13:29 어떤 이들은 유다가 돈 궤를 맡았으므로 명절에 우리의 쓸 물건을 사라 하시는지
혹 가난한 자들에게 무엇을 주라 하시는 줄로 생각하더라
13:29 Some were of the opinion that because Judas kept the money-bag Jesus said to him,
Get the things we have need of for the feast; or, that he was to give something
to the poor.
13:29 For some of them thought, because Judas had the bag, that Jesus had
said unto him, Buy those things that we have need of against the feast; or,
that he should give something to the poor.
13:30 유다가 그 조각을 받고 곧 나가니 밤이러라
13:30 So Judas, having taken the bit of bread, straight away went out: and it was night.
13:30 He then having received the morsel went immediately out: and it was
night.
13:31 ○ 저가 나간 후에 예수께서 가라사대 지금 인자가 영광을 얻었고 하나님도
인자를 인하여 영광을 얻으셨도다
13:31 Then when he had gone out, Jesus said, Now is glory given to the Son of man, and
God is given glory in him.
13:31 Therefore, when he was gone out, Jesus said, Now is the Son of man
glorified, and God is glorified in him.
13:32 만일 하나님이 저로 인하여 영광을 얻으셨으면 하나님도 자기로 인하여
저에게 영광을 주시리니 곧 주시리라
13:32 If God is given glory in him, God will give him glory in himself, and will give
him glory even now.
13:32 If God be glorified in him, God shall also glorify him in himself,
and shall immediately glorify him.
13:33 소자들아 내가 아직 잠시 너희와 함께 있겠노라 너희가 나를 찾을 터이나
그러나 일찍 내가 유대인들에게 너희는 나의 가는 곳에 올 수 없다고 말한 것과 같이
지금 너희에게도 이르노라
13:33 My dear children, I am only to be with you a little longer. Then you will be looking
for me: and as I said to the Jews, so now I say to you, Where I am going you may
not come.
13:33 Little children, yet a little while I am with you. All of you shall
seek me: and as I said unto the Jews, Where I go, all of you cannot come; so
now I say to you.
13:34 새 계명을 너희에게 주노니 서로 사랑하라 내가 너희를 사랑한 것 같이 너희도
서로 사랑하라
13:34 I give you a new law: Have love one for another; even as I have had love for you,
so are you to have love one for another.
13:34 A new commandment I give unto you, That all of you love one another;
as I have loved you, that all of you also love one another.
13:35 너희가 서로 사랑하면 이로써 모든 사람이 너희가 내 제자인 줄 알리라
13:35 By this it will be clear to all men that you are my disciples, if you have love
one for another.
13:35 By this shall all men know that all of you are my disciples, if all
of you have love (o. agape) one to another.
13:36 ○ 시몬 베드로가 가로되 주여 어디로 가시나이까 예수께서 대답하시되
나의 가는 곳에 네가 지금은 따라올 수 없으나 후에는 따라오리라
13:36 Simon Peter said to him, Lord, where are you going? Jesus said in answer, Where
I am going you may not come with me now, but you will come later.
13:36 Simon Peter said unto him, Lord, where go you? Jesus answered him,
Where I go, you can not follow me now; but you shall follow me afterwards.
13:37 베드로가 가로되 주여 내가 지금은 어찌하여 따를 수 없나이까 주를 위하여
내 목숨을 버리겠나이다
13:37 Peter said to him, Why may I not come with you even now? I will give up my life
for you.
13:37 Peter said unto him, Lord, why cannot I follow you now? I will lay
down my life for your sake.
13:38 예수께서 대답하시되 네가 나를 위하여 네 목숨을 버리겠느냐 내가 진실로
진실로 네게 이르노니 닭 울기 전에 네가 세 번 나를 부인하리라
13:38 Jesus said in answer, Will you give up your life for me? Truly I say to you, Before
the cry of the cock you will have said three times that you are not my disciple.
13:38 Jesus answered him, Will you lay down your life for my sake? Verily,
verily, I say unto you, The cock shall not crow, till you have denied me three
times.
14:1 너희는 마음에 근심하지 말라 하나님을 믿으니 또 나를 믿으라
14:1 Let not your heart be troubled: have faith in God and have faith in me.
14:1 Let not your heart be troubled: all of you believe in God, believe also
in me.
14:2 내 아버지 집에 거할 곳이 많도다 그렇지 않으면 너희에게 일렀으리라 내가
너희를 위하여 처소를 예비하러 가노니
14:2 In my Father's house are rooms enough; if it was not so, would I have said that
I am going to make ready a place for you?
14:2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have
told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
14:3 가서 너희를 위하여 처소를 예비하면 내가 다시 와서 너희를 내게로 영접하여
나 있는 곳에 너희도 있게 하리라
14:3 And if I go and make ready a place for you, I will come back again and will take
you to be with me, so that you may be where I am.
14:3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive
you unto myself; that where I am, there all of you may be also.
14:4 내가 가는 곳에 그 길을 너희가 알리라
14:4 And you all have knowledge of where I am going, and of the way to it.
14:4 And where I go all of you know, and the way all of you know.
14:5 도마가 가로되 주여 어디로 가시는지 우리가 알지 못하거늘 그 길을 어찌
알겠삽나이까
14:5 Thomas said, Lord, we have no knowledge of where you are going; how may we have
knowledge of the way?
14:5 Thomas says unto him, Lord, we know not where you go; and how can we
know the way?
14:6 예수께서 가라사대 내가 곧 길이요 진리요 생명이니 나로 말미암지 않고는
아버지께로 올 자가 없느니라
14:6 Jesus said to him, I am the true and living way: no one comes to the Father but
by me.
14:6 Jesus says unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man comes
unto the Father, but by me.
14:7 너희가 나를 알았더면 내 아버지도 알았으리로다 이제부터는 너희가 그를
알았고 또 보았느니라
14:7 If you had knowledge of me, you would have knowledge of my Father: you have knowledge
of him now and have seen him.
14:7 If all of you had known me, all of you should have known my Father also:
and from henceforth all of you know him, and have seen him.
14:8 빌립이 가로되 주여 아버지를 우리에게 보여 주옵소서 그리하면 족하겠나이다
14:8 Philip said to him, Lord, let us see the Father, and we have need of nothing more.
14:8 Philip says unto him, Lord, show us the Father, and it satisfies us.
14:9 예수께서 가라사대 빌립아 내가 이렇게 오래 너희와 함께 있으되 네가 나를
알지 못하느냐 나를 본 자는 아버지를 보았거늘 어찌하여 아버지를 보이라 하느냐
14:9 Jesus said to him, Philip, have I been with you all this time, and still you have
no knowledge of me? He who has seen me has seen the Father. Why do you say, Let
us see the Father?
14:9 Jesus says unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet have
you not known me, Philip? he that has seen me has seen the Father; and how says
you then, Show us the Father?
14:10 나는 아버지 안에 있고 아버지는 내 안에 계신 것을 네가 믿지 아니하느냐
내가 너희에게 이르는 말이 스스로 하는 것이 아니라 아버지께서 내 안에 계셔 그의
일을 하시는 것이라
14:10 Have you not faith that I am in the Father and the Father is in me? The words which
I say to you, I say not from myself: but the Father who is in me all the time does
his works.
14:10 Believe you not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the
(o. rhema) words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father
that dwells in me, he does the works.
14:11 내가 아버지 안에 있고 아버지께서 내 안에 계심을 믿으라 그렇지 못하겠거든
행하는 그 일을 인하여 나를 믿으라
14:11 Have faith that I am in the Father and that the Father is in me: at least, have
faith in me because of what I do.
14:11 Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe
me for the very works' sake.
14:12 내가 진실로 진실로 너희에게 이르노니 나를 믿는 자는 나의 하는 일을
저도 할 것이요 또한 이보다 큰 것도 하리니 이는 내가 아버지께로 감이니라
14:12 Truly I say to you, He who puts his faith in me will do the very works which I do,
and he will do greater things than these, because I am going to my Father.
14:12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believes on me, the works that
I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go
unto my Father.
14:13 너희가 내 이름으로 무엇을 구하든지 내가 시행하리니 이는 아버지로 하여금
아들을 인하여 영광을 얻으시게 하려 함이라
14:13 And whatever request you make in my name, that I will do, so that the Father may
have glory in the Son.
14:13 And whatsoever all of you shall ask in my name, that will I do, that
the Father may be glorified in the Son.
14:14 내 이름으로 무엇이든지 내게 구하면 내가 시행하리라
14:14 If you make any request to me in my name, I will do it.
14:14 If all of you shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.
14:15 너희가 나를 사랑하면 나의 계명을 지키리라
14:15 If you have love for me, you will keep my laws.
14:15 If all of you love me, keep my commandments.
14:16 내가 아버지께 구하겠으니 그가 또 다른 보혜사를 너희에게 주사 영원토록
너희와 함께 있게 하시리니
14:16 And I will make prayer to the Father and he will give you another Helper to be with
you for ever,
14:16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter,
that he may abide with you for ever;
14:17 저는 진리의 영이라 세상은 능히 저를 받지 못하나니 이는 저를 보지도
못하고 알지도 못함이라 그러나 너희는 저를 아나니 저는 너희와 함께 거하심이요
또 너희 속에 계시겠음이라
14:17 Even the Spirit of true knowledge. That Spirit the world is not able to take to
its heart because it sees him not and has no knowledge of him: but you have knowledge
of him, because he is ever with you and will be in you.
14:17 Even the Spirit (o. pneuma) of truth; whom the world cannot receive,
because it sees him not, neither knows him: but all of you know him; for he
dwells with you, and shall be in you.
14:18 내가 너희를 고아와 같이 버려두지 아니하고 너희에게로 오리라
14:18 I will not let you be without a friend: I am coming to you.
14:18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.
14:19 조금 있으면 세상은 다시 나를 보지 못할 터이로되 너희는 나를 보리니
이는 내가 살았고 너희도 살겠음이라
14:19 A little time longer, and the world will see me no more; but you will see me; and
you will be living because I am living.
14:19 Yet a little while, and the world sees me no more; but all of you see
me: because I live, all of you shall live also.
14:20 그 날에는 내가 아버지 안에 너희가 내 안에 내가 너희 안에 있는 것을
너희가 알리라
14:20 At that time it will be clear to you that I am in my Father, and you are in me,
and I in you.
14:20 At that day all of you shall know that I am in my Father, and all of
you in me, and I in you.
14:21 나의 계명을 가지고 지키는 자라야 나를 사랑하는 자니 나를 사랑하는 자는
내 아버지께 사랑을 받을 것이요 나도 그를 사랑하여 그에게 나를 나타내리라
14:21 He who has my laws and keeps them, he it is who has love for me: and he who has
love for me will be loved by my Father, and I will have love for him and will let
myself be seen clearly by him.
14:21 He that has my commandments, and keeps them, he it is that loves me:
and he that loves me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will
manifest myself to him.
14:22 가룟인 아닌 유다가 가로되 주여 어찌하여 자기를 우리에게는
나타내시고 세상에게는 아니하려 하시나이까
14:22 Judas (not Iscariot) said to him, How is it that you will let yourself be seen clearly
by us and not by the world?
14:22 Judas says unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that you will manifest
yourself unto us, and not unto the world?
14:23 예수께서 대답하여 가라사대 사람이 나를 사랑하면 내 말을 지키리니 내
아버지께서 저를 사랑하실 것이요 우리가 저에게 와서 거처를 저와 함께 하리라
14:23 Jesus said to him in answer, If anyone has love for me, he will keep my words: and
he will be dear to my Father; and we will come to him and make our living-place
with him.
14:23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my
words: (o. logos) and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and
make our abode with him.
14:24 나를 사랑하지 아니하는 자는 내 말을 지키지 아니하나니 너희의 듣는 말은
내 말이 아니요 나를 보내신 아버지의 말씀이니라
14:24 He who has no love for me does not keep my words; and the word which you are hearing
is not my word but the Father's who sent me.
14:24 He that loves me not keeps not my sayings: (o. logos) and the word
(o. logos) which all of you hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me.
14:25 ○ 내가 아직 너희와 함께 있어서 이 말을 너희에게 하였거니와
14:25 I have said all this to you while I am still with you.
14:25 These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you.
14:26 보혜사 곧 아버지께서 내 이름으로 보내실 성령 그가 너희에게 모든 것을
가르치시고 내가 너희에게 말한 모든 것을 생각나게 하시리라
14:26 But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will be your
teacher in all things and will put you in mind of everything I have said to you.
14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Spirit, (o. pneuma) whom the Father
will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to
your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
14:27 평안을 너희에게 끼치노니 곧 나의 평안을 너희에게 주노라 내가 너희에게
주는 것은 세상이 주는 것 같지 아니하니라 너희는 마음에 근심도 말고 두려워하지도
말라
14:27 May peace be with you; my peace I give to you: I give it not as the world gives.
Let not your heart be troubled; let it be without fear.
14:27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world
gives, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
14:28 내가 갔다가 너희에게로 온다 하는 말을 너희가 들었나니 나를 사랑하였더면
나의 아버지께로 감을 기뻐하였으리라 아버지는 나보다 크심이니라
14:28 Keep in mind how I said to you, I go away and come to you again. If you had love
for me you would be glad, because I am going to the Father: for the Father is greater
than I.
14:28 All of you have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again
unto you. If all of you loved me, all of you would rejoice, because I said,
I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I.
14:29 이제 일이 이루기 전에 너희에게 말한 것은 일이 이룰 때에 너희로 믿게
하려 함이라
14:29 And now I have given you word of it before it comes, so that, when it comes, you
may have faith.
14:29 And now I have told you before it come to pass, that, when it has come
to pass, all of you might believe.
14:30 이 후에는 내가 너희와 말을 많이 하지 아니하리니 이 세상 임금이 오겠음이라
그러나 저는 내게 관계할 것이 없으니
14:30 After this I will not say much to you, because the ruler of this world comes: and
he has no power over me;
14:30 Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world
comes, and has nothing in me.
14:31 오직 내가 아버지를 사랑하는 것과 아버지의 명하신 대로 행하는 것을 세상으로
알게 하려 함이로라 일어나라 여기를 떠나자 하시니라
14:31 But he comes so that the world may see that I have love for the Father, and that
I am doing as I am ordered by the Father. Get up, and let us go.
14:31 But that the world may know that I love the Father; and as the Father
gave me commandment, even so I do. Arise, let us go behind.
