21:1 욥이 대답하여 가로되
21:1 Then Job made answer and said,
21:1 But Job answered and said,
21:2 너희는 내 말을 자세히 들으라 이것이 너희의 위로가 될 것이니라
21:2 Give attention with care to my words; and let this be your comfort.
21:2 Hear diligently my speech, and let this be your consolations.
21:3 나를 용납하여 말하게 하라 내가 말한 후에 또 조롱할지니라
21:3 Let me say what is in my mind, and after that, go on making sport of me.
21:3 Suffer me that I may speak; and after that I have spoken, mock on.
21:4 나의 원망이 사람을 향하여 하는 것이냐 내가 어찌 초급하지 아니하겠느냐
21:4 As for me, is my outcry against man? is it then to be wondered at if my spirit is
troubled?
21:4 As for me, is my complaint to man? and if it were so, why should not
my spirit be troubled?
21:5 너희는 나를 보아라, 놀라라, 손으로 입을 가리우라
21:5 Take note of me and be full of wonder, put your hand on your mouth.
21:5 Mark me, and be astonished, and lay your hand upon your mouth.
21:6 내가 추억하기만 하여도 답답하고 두려움이 내 몸을 잡는구나
21:6 At the very thought of it my flesh is shaking with fear.
21:6 Even when I remember I am afraid, and trembling takes hold on my flesh.
21:7 어찌하여 악인이 살고 수를 누리고 세력이 강하냐
21:7 Why is life given to the evil-doers? why do they become old and strong in power?
21:7 Wherefore do the wicked live, become old, yea, are mighty in power?
21:8 씨가 그들의 앞에서 그들과 함께 굳게 서고 자손이 그들의 목전에서 그러하구나
21:8 Their children are ever with them, and their offspring before their eyes.
21:8 Their seed is established in their sight with them, and their offspring
before their eyes.
21:9 그 집이 평안하여 두려움이 없고 하나님의 매가 그 위에 임하지 아니하며
21:9 Their houses are free from fear, and the rod of God does not come on them.
21:9 Their houses are safe from fear, neither is the rod of God upon them.
21:10 그 수소는 영락 없이 새끼를 배게 하고 그 암소는 새끼를 낳고 낙태하지
않는구나
21:10 Their ox is ready at all times to give seed; their cow gives birth, without dropping
her young.
21:10 Their bull genders, and fails not; their cow calves, and casts not
her calf.
21:11 그들은 아이들을 내어보냄이 양 떼 같고 그 자녀들은 춤추는구나
21:11 They send out their young ones like a flock, and their children have pleasure in
the dance,
21:11 They send forth their little ones like a flock, and their children
dance.
21:12 그들이 소고와 수금으로 노래하고 피리 불어 즐기며
21:12 They make songs to the instruments of music, and are glad at the sound of the pipe.
21:12 They take the timbrel and harp, and rejoice at the sound of the organ.
21:13 그 날을 형통하게 지내다가 경각간에 음부에 내려가느니라
21:13 Their days come to an end without trouble, and suddenly they go down to the underworld.
21:13 They spend their days in wealth, and in a moment go down to the grave.
21:14 그러할지라도 그들은 하나님께 말하기를 우리를 떠나소서 우리가 주의 도리
알기를 즐겨하지 아니하나이다
21:14 Though they said to God, Go away from us, for we have no desire for the knowledge
of your ways.
21:14 Therefore they say unto God, Depart from us; for we desire not the
knowledge of your ways.
21:15 전능자가 누구기에 우리가 섬기며 우리가 그에게 기도한들 무슨 이익을
얻으랴 하는구나
21:15 What is the Ruler of all, that we may give him worship? and what profit is it to
us to make prayer to him?
21:15 What is the Almighty, that we should serve him? and what profit should
we have, if we pray unto him?
21:16 그들의 복록이 그들의 손으로 말미암은 것이 아니니라 악인의 계획은 나와
판이하니라
21:16 Truly, is not their well-being in their power? (The purpose of the evil-doers is
far from me.)
21:16 Lo, their good is not in their hand: the counsel of the wicked is far
from me.
21:17 ○ 악인의 등불이 꺼짐이나 재앙이 그들에게 임함이나 하나님이 진노하사
그들을 곤고케 하심이나
21:17 How frequently is the light of the evil-doers put out, or does trouble come on them?
how frequently does his wrath take them with cords?
21:17 How often is the candle of the wicked put out! and how often comes
their destruction upon them! God distributes sorrows in his anger.
21:18 그들이 바람 앞에 검불 같이, 폭풍에 불려가는 겨 같이 되는 일이 몇 번이나
있었느냐
21:18 How frequently are they as dry stems before the wind, or as grass taken away by
the storm-wind?
21:18 They are as stubble before the wind, and as chaff that the storm carries
away.
21:19 하나님이 그의 죄악을 쌓아 두셨다가 그 자손에게 갚으신다 하거니와 그
몸에 갚으셔서 그로 깨닫게 하셔야 할 것이라
21:19 You say, God keeps punishment stored up for his children. Let him send it on the
man himself, so that he may have the punishment of it!
21:19 God lays up his iniquity for his children: he rewards him, and he shall
know it.
21:20 자기의 멸망을 자기의 눈으로 보게 하시며 전능자의 진노를 마시게 하셔야
할 것이니라
21:20 Let his eyes see his trouble, and let him be full of the wrath of the Ruler of all!
21:20 His eyes shall see his destruction, and he shall drink of the wrath
of the Almighty.
21:21 그의 달 수가 진하면 자기 집에 대하여 무슨 관계가 있겠느냐
21:21 For what interest has he in his house after him, when the number of his months is
ended?
21:21 For what pleasure has he in his house after him, when the number of
his months is cut off in the midst?
21:22 그러나 하나님은 높은 자들을 심판하시나니 누가 능히 하나님께 지식을
가르치겠느냐
21:22 Is anyone able to give teaching to God? for he is the judge of those who are on
high.
21:22 Shall any teach God knowledge? seeing he judges those that are high.
21:23 어떤 사람은 죽도록 기운이 충실하여 평강하며 안일하고
21:23 One comes to his end in complete well-being, full of peace and quiet:
21:23 One dies in his full strength, being wholly at ease and quiet.
21:24 그 그릇에는 젖이 가득하며 그 골수는 윤택하였고
21:24 His buckets are full of milk, and there is no loss of strength in his bones.
21:24 His breasts are full of milk, and his bones are moistened with marrow.
21:25 어떤 사람은 죽도록 마음에 고통하고 복을 맛보지 못하였어도
21:25 And another comes to his end with a bitter soul, without ever tasting good.
21:25 And another dies in the bitterness of his soul, and never eats with
pleasure.
21:26 이 둘이 일반으로 흙 속에 눕고 그 위에 구더기가 덮이는구나
21:26 Together they go down to the dust, and are covered by the worm.
21:26 They shall lie down alike in the dust, and the worms shall cover them.
21:27 ○ 내가 너희의 생각을 알고 너희가 나를 해하려는 궤휼도 아노라
21:27 See, I am conscious of your thoughts, and of your violent purposes against me;
21:27 Behold, I know your thoughts, and the devices which all of you wrongfully
imagine against me.
21:28 너희의 말이 왕후의 집이 어디 있으며 악인의 거하던 장막이 어디 있느뇨
하는구나
21:28 For you say, Where is the house of the ruler, and where is the tent of the evil-doer?
21:28 For all of you say, Where is the house of the prince? and where are
the dwelling places of the wicked?
21:29 너희가 길 가는 사람들에게 묻지 아니하였느냐 그들의 증거를 알지 못하느냐
21:29 Have you not put the question to the travellers, and do you not take note of their
experience?
21:29 Have all of you not asked them that go by the way? and do all of you
not know their tokens,
21:30 악인은 남기워서 멸망의 날을 기다리움이 되고 멸망의 날을 맞으러 끌려
나감이 된다 하느니라
21:30 How the evil man goes free in the day of trouble, and has salvation in the day of
wrath?
21:30 That the wicked is reserved to the day of destruction? they shall be
brought forth to the day of wrath.
21:31 누가 능히 그의 행위를 면박하며 누가 능히 그의 소위를 보응하랴마는
21:31 Who will make his way clear to his face? and if he has done a thing, who gives him
punishment for it?
21:31 Who shall declare his way to his face? and who shall repay him what
he has done?
21:32 그를 무덤으로 메어 가고 사람이 그 무덤을 지키리라
21:32 He is taken to his last resting-place, and keeps watch over it.
21:32 Yet shall he be brought to the grave, and shall remain in the tomb.
21:33 그는 골짜기의 흙덩이를 달게 여기고 그 앞선 자가 무수함 같이 모든 사람이
그 뒤를 좇으리라
21:33 The earth of the valley covering his bones is sweet to him, and all men come after
him, as there were unnumbered before him.
21:33 The clods of the valley shall be sweet unto him, and every man shall
draw after him, as there are innumerable before him.
21:34 이러한즉 너희의 위로가 헛되지 아니하냐 너희의 대답은 거짓 뿐이니라
21:34 Why then do you give me comfort with words in which there is no profit, when you
see that there is nothing in your answers but deceit?
21:34 How then comfort all of you me in vain, seeing in your answers there
remains falsehood?
22:1 데만 사람 엘리바스가 대답하여 가로되
22:1 Then Eliphaz the Temanite made answer and said,
22:1 Then Eliphaz the Temanite answered and said,
22:2 사람이 어찌 하나님께 유익하게 하겠느냐 지혜로운 자도 스스로 유익할 따름이니라
22:2 Is it possible for a man to be of profit to God? No, for a man's wisdom is only
of profit to himself.
22:2 Can a man be profitable unto God, as he that is wise may be profitable
unto himself?
22:3 네가 의로운들 전능자에게 무슨 기쁨이 있겠으며 네 행위가 온전한들 그에게
무슨 이익이 있겠느냐
22:3 Is it of any interest to the Ruler of all that you are upright? or is it of use
to him that your ways are without sin?
22:3 Is it any pleasure to the Almighty, that you are righteous? or is it
gain to him, that you make your ways perfect?
22:4 하나님이 너를 책망하시며 너를 심문하심이 너의 경외함을 인함이냐
22:4 Is it because you give him honour that he is sending punishment on you and is judging
you?
22:4 Will he reprove you for fear of you? will he enter with you into judgment?
22:5 네 악이 크지 아니하냐 네 죄악이 극하니라
22:5 Is not your evil-doing great? and there is no end to your sins.
22:5 Is not your wickedness great? and yours iniquities infinite?
22:6 까닭 없이 형제의 물건을 볼모 잡으며 헐벗은 자의 의복을 벗기며
22:6 For you have taken your brother's goods when he was not in your debt, and have taken
away the clothing of those who have need of it.
22:6 For you have taken a pledge from your brother for nothing, and stripped
the naked of their clothing.
22:7 갈한 자에게 물을 마시우지 아니하며 주린 자에게 식물을 주지 아니하였구나
22:7 You do not give water to the tired traveller, and from him who has no food you keep
back bread.
22:7 You have not given water to the weary to drink, and you have withheld
bread from the hungry.
22:8 권세 있는 자가 토지를 얻고 존귀한 자가 거기서 사는구나
22:8 For it was the man with power who had the land, and the man with an honoured name
who was living in it.
22:8 But as for the mighty man, he had the earth; and the honourable man
dwelt in it.
22:9 네가 과부를 공수로 돌아가게 하며 고아의 팔을 꺾는구나
22:9 You have sent widows away without hearing their cause, and you have taken away the
support of the child who has no father.
22:9 You have sent widows away empty, and the arms of the fatherless have
been broken.
22:10 이러므로 올무들이 너를 둘러 있고 두려움이 홀연히 너를 침범하며
22:10 For this cause nets are round your feet, and you are overcome with sudden fear.
22:10 Therefore snares are round about you, and sudden fear troubles you;
22:11 어두움이 너로 보지 못하게 하고 창수가 너를 덮느니라
22:11 Your light is made dark so that you are unable to see, and you are covered by a
mass of waters.
22:11 Or darkness, that you can not see; and abundance of waters cover you.
22:12 ○ 하나님이 높은 하늘에 계시지 아니하냐 보라 별의 높음이 얼마나 높은가
22:12 Is not God as high as heaven? and see the stars, how high they are!
22:12 Is not God in the height of heaven? and behold the height of the stars,
how high they are!
22:13 그러나 네 말은 하나님이 무엇을 아시며 흑암 중에서 어찌 심판 하실 수
있으랴
22:13 And you say, What knowledge has God? is he able to give decisions through the deep
dark?
22:13 And you says, How does God know? can he judge through the dark cloud?
22:14 빽빽한 구름이 그를 가리운즉 그가 보지 못하시고 궁창으로 걸어다니실
뿐이라 하는구나
22:14 Thick clouds are covering him, so that he is unable to see; and he is walking on
the arch of heaven.
22:14 Thick clouds are a covering to him, that he sees not; and he walks
in the circuit of heaven.
22:15 네가 악인의 밟던 옛적 길을 지키려느냐
22:15 Will you keep the old way by which evil men went?
22:15 Have you marked the old way which wicked men have trodden?
22:16 그들은 때가 이르기 전에 끊어 버리웠고 그 터는 하수로 인하여 함몰되었느니라
22:16 Who were violently taken away before their time, who were overcome by the rush of
waters:
22:16 Which were cut down out of time, whose foundation was overflowed with
a flood:
22:17 그들이 하나님께 말하기를 우리를 떠나소서 하며 또 말하기를 전능자가
우리를 위하여 무엇을 하실 수 있으랴 하였으나
22:17 Who said to God, Go away from us; and, What is the Ruler of all able to do to us?
22:17 Which said unto God, Depart from us: and what can the Almighty do for
them?
22:18 하나님이 좋은 것으로 그 집에 채우셨느니라 악인의 계획은 나와 판이하니라
22:18 Though he made their houses full of good things: but the purpose of the evil-doers
is far from me!
22:18 Yet he filled their houses with good things: but the counsel of the
wicked is far from me.
22:19 의인은 보고 기뻐하고 무죄자는 그들을 비웃기를
22:19 The upright saw it and were glad: and those who had done no wrong made sport of
them,
22:19 The righteous see it, and are glad: and the innocent laugh them to
scorn.
22:20 우리의 대적이 끊어졌고 그 남은 것이 불사른 바 되었다 하느니라
22:20 Saying, Truly, their substance is cut off, and their wealth is food for the fire.
22:20 Whereas our substance is not cut down, but the remnant of them the
fire consumes.
22:21 ○ 너는 하나님과 화목하고 평안하라 그리하면 복이 네게 임하리라
22:21 Put yourself now in a right relation with him and be at peace: so will you do well
in your undertakings.
22:21 Acquaint now yourself with him, and be at peace: thereby good shall
come unto you.
22:22 청컨대 너는 그 입에서 교훈을 받고 그 말씀을 네 마음에 두라
22:22 Be pleased to take teaching from his mouth, and let his words be stored up in your
heart.
22:22 Receive, I pray you, the law from his mouth, and lay up his words in
yours heart.
22:23 네가 만일 전능자에게로 돌아가고 또 네 장막에서 불의를 멀리 버리면 다시
흥하리라
22:23 If you come back to the Ruler of all, making yourself low before him; if you put
evil far away from your tents;
22:23 If you return to the Almighty, you shall be built up, you shall put
away iniquity far from your tabernacles.
22:24 네 보배를 진토에 버리고 오빌의 금을 강 가의 돌에 버리라
22:24 And put your gold in the dust, even your gold of Ophir among the rocks of the valleys;
22:24 Then shall you lay up gold as dust, and the gold of Ophir as the stones
of the brooks.
22:25 그리하면 전능자가 네 보배가 되시며 네게 귀한 은이 되시리니
22:25 Then the Ruler of all will be your gold, and his teaching will be your silver;
22:25 Yea, the Almighty shall be your defence, and you shall have plenty
of silver.
22:26 이에 네가 전능자를 기뻐하여 하나님께로 얼굴을 들 것이라
22:26 For then you will have delight in the Ruler of all, and your face will be lifted
up to God.
22:26 For then shall you have your delight in the Almighty, and shall lift
up your face unto God.
22:27 너는 그에게 기도하겠고 그는 들으실 것이며 너의 서원한 것을 네가 갚으리라
22:27 You will make your prayer to him, and be answered; and you will give effect to your
oaths.
22:27 You shall make your prayer unto him, and he shall hear you, and you
shall pay your vows.
22:28 네가 무엇을 경영하면 이루어질 것이요 네 길에 빛이 비취리라
22:28 Your purposes will come about, and light will be shining on your ways.
22:28 You shall also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto you:
and the light shall shine upon your ways.
22:29 네가 낮춤을 받거든 높아지리라고 말하라 하나님은 겸손한 자를 구원하시느니라
22:29 For God makes low those whose hearts are lifted up, but he is a saviour to the poor
in spirit.
22:29 When men are cast down, then you shall say, There is lifting up; and
he shall save the humble person.
22:30 무죄한 자가 아니라도 건지시리니 네 손이 깨끗함을 인하여 그런 자가 건지심을
입으리라
22:30 He makes safe the man who is free from sin, and if your hands are clean, salvation
will be yours.
22:30 He shall deliver the island of the innocent: and it is delivered by
the pureness of yours hands.
23:1 욥이 대답하여 가로되
23:1 And Job made answer and said,
23:1 Then Job answered and said,
23:2 내가 오늘도 혹독히 원망하니 받는 재앙이 탄식보다 중함이니라
23:2 Even today my outcry is bitter; his hand is hard on my sorrow.
23:2 Even to day is my complaint bitter: my stroke is heavier than my groaning.
23:3 내가 어찌하면 하나님 발견할 곳을 알꼬 그리하면 그 보좌 앞에 나아가서
23:3 If only I had knowledge of where he might be seen, so that I might come even to
his seat!
23:3 Oh that I knew where I might find him! that I might come even to his
seat!
23:4 그 앞에서 호소하며 변백할 말을 입에 채우고
23:4 I would put my cause in order before him, and my mouth would be full of arguments.
23:4 I would order my cause before him, and fill my mouth with arguments.
23:5 내게 대답하시는 말씀을 내가 알고 내게 이르시는 것을 내가 깨달으리라
23:5 I would see what his answers would be, and have knowledge of what he would say to
me.
23:5 I would know the words which he would answer me, and understand what
he would say unto me.
23:6 그가 큰 권능을 가지시고 나로 더불어 다투실까 아니라 도리어 내 말을 들으시리라
23:6 Would he make use of his great power to overcome me? No, but he would give attention
to me.
23:6 Will he plead against me with his great power? No; but he would put
strength in me.
23:7 거기서는 정직자가 그와 변론할 수 있은즉 내가 심판자에게서 영영히 벗어나리라
23:7 There an upright man might put his cause before him; and I would be free for ever
from my judge.
23:7 There the righteous might dispute with him; so should I be delivered
for ever from my judge.
23:8 그런데 내가 앞으로 가도 그가 아니 계시고 뒤로 가도 보이지 아니하며
23:8 See, I go forward, but he is not there; and back, but I do not see him;
23:8 Behold, I go forward, but he is not there; and backward, but I cannot
perceive him:
23:9 그가 왼편에서 일하시나 내가 만날 수 없고 그가 오른편으로 돌이키시나
뵈올 수 없구나
23:9 I am looking for him on the left hand, but there is no sign of him; and turning
to the right, I am not able to see him.
23:9 On the left hand, where he does work, but I cannot behold him: he hides
himself on the right hand, that I cannot see him:
23:10 ○ 나의 가는 길을 오직 그가 아시나니 그가 나를 단련하신 후에는 내가
정금 같이 나오리라
23:10 For he has knowledge of the way I take; after I have been tested I will come out
like gold.
23:10 But he knows the way that I take: when he has tried me, I shall come
forth as gold.
23:11 내 발이 그의 걸음을 바로 따랐으며 내가 그의 길을 지켜 치우치지 아니하였고
23:11 My feet have gone in his steps; I have kept in his way, without turning to one side
or to the other.
23:11 My foot has held his steps, his way have I kept, and not declined.
23:12 내가 그의 입술의 명령을 어기지 아니하고 일정한 음식보다 그 입의 말씀을
귀히 여겼구나
23:12 I have never gone against the orders of his lips; the words of his mouth have been
stored up in my heart.
23:12 Neither have I gone back from the commandment of his lips; I have esteemed
the words of his mouth more than my necessary food.
23:13 그는 뜻이 일정하시니 누가 능히 돌이킬까 그 마음에 하고자 하시는 것이면
그것을 행하시나니
23:13 But his purpose is fixed and there is no changing it; and he gives effect to the
desire of his soul.
23:13 But he is in one mind, and who can turn him? and what his soul desires,
even that he does.
23:14 그런즉 내게 작정하신 것을 이루실 것이라 이런 일이 그에게 많이 있느니라
23:14 For what has been ordered for me by him will be gone through to the end: and his
mind is full of such designs.
23:14 For he performs the thing that is appointed for me: and many such things
are with him.
23:15 그러므로 내가 그의 앞에서 떨며 이를 생각하고 그를 두려워하는구나
23:15 For this cause I am in fear before him, my thoughts of him overcome me.
23:15 Therefore am I troubled at his presence: when I consider, I am afraid
of him.
23:16 하나님이 나로 낙심케 하시며 전능자가 나로 두렵게 하시나니
23:16 For God has made my heart feeble, and my mind is troubled before the Ruler of all.
23:16 For God makes my heart soft, and the Almighty troubles me:
23:17 이는 어두움으로 나를 끊지 아니하셨고 흑암으로 내 얼굴을 가리우지 아니하셨음이니라
23:17 For I am overcome by the dark, and by the black night which is covering my face.
23:17 Because I was not cut off before the darkness, neither has he covered
the darkness from my face.
24:1 어찌하여 전능자가 시기를 정하지 아니하셨는고 어찌하여 그를 아는 자들이
그의 날을 보지 못하는고
24:1 Why are times not stored up by the Ruler of all, and why do those who have knowledge
of him not see his days?
24:1 Why, seeing times are not hidden from the Almighty, do they that know
him not see his days?
24:2 어떤 사람은 지계표를 옮기며 양 떼를 빼앗아 기르며
24:2 The landmarks are changed by evil men, they violently take away flocks, together
with their keepers.
24:2 Some remove the landmarks; they violently take away flocks, and feed
thereof.
24:3 고아의 나귀를 몰아가며 과부의 소를 볼모잡으며
24:3 They send away the ass of him who has no father, they take the widow's ox for debt.
24:3 They drive away the ass of the fatherless, they take the widow's ox
for a pledge.
24:4 빈궁한 자를 길에서 몰아내나니 세상에 가난한 자가 다 스스로 숨는구나
24:4 The crushed are turned out of the way; all the poor of the earth go into a secret
place together.
24:4 They turn the needy out of the way: the poor of the earth hide themselves
together.
24:5 그들은 거친 땅의 들나귀 같아서 나가서 일하며 먹을 것을 부지런히 구하니
광야가 그 자식을 위하여 그에게 식물을 내는구나
24:5 Like asses in the waste land they go out to their work, looking for food with care;
from the waste land they get bread for their children.
24:5 Behold, as wild asses in the desert, go they forth to their work; rising
early for a prey: the wilderness yields food for them and for their children.
24:6 밭에서 남의 곡식을 베며 악인의 남겨 둔 포도를 따며
24:6 They get mixed grain from the field, and they take away the late fruit from the
vines of those who have wealth.
24:6 They reap every one his corn in the field: and they gather the vintage
of the wicked.
24:7 의복이 없어 벗은 몸으로 밤을 지내며 추위에 덮을 것이 없으며
24:7 They take their rest at night without clothing, and have no cover in the cold.
24:7 They cause the naked to lodge without clothing, that they have no covering
in the cold.
24:8 산 중 소나기에 젖으며 가리울 것이 없어 바위를 안고 있느니라
24:8 They are wet with the rain of the mountains, and get into the cracks of the rock
for cover.
24:8 They are wet with the showers of the mountains, and embrace the rock
for lack of a shelter.
24:9 어떤 사람은 고아를 어미 품에서 빼앗으며 가난한 자의 옷을 볼모 잡으므로
24:9 The child without a father is forced from its mother's breast, and they take the
young children of the poor for debt.
24:9 They pluck the fatherless from the breast, and take a pledge of the
poor.
24:10 그들이 옷이 없어 벌거벗고 다니며 주리면서 곡식 단을 메며
24:10 Others go about without clothing, and though they have no food, they get in the
grain from the fields.
24:10 They cause him to go naked without clothing, and they take away the
sheaf from the hungry;
24:11 그 사람의 담 안에서 기름을 짜며 목말라 하면서 술 틀을 밟느니라
24:11 Between the lines of olive-trees they make oil; though they have no drink, they
are crushing out the grapes.
24:11 Which make oil within their walls, and tread their winepresses, and
suffer thirst.
24:12 인구 많은 성중에서 사람들이 신음하며 상한 자가 부르짖으나 하나님이
그 불의를 보지 아니하시느니라
24:12 From the town come sounds of pain from those who are near death, and the soul of
the wounded is crying out for help; but God does not take note of their prayer.
24:12 Men groan from out of the city, and the soul of the wounded cries out:
yet God lays not folly to them.
24:13 ○ 또 광명을 배반하는 사람들은 이러하니 그들은 광명의 길을 알지 못하며
그 첩경에 머물지 아니하는 자라
24:13 Then there are those who are haters of the light, who have no knowledge of its ways,
and do not go in them.
24:13 They are of those that rebel against the light; they know not the ways
thereof, nor abide in the paths thereof.
24:14 사람을 죽이는 자는 새벽에 일어나서 가난한 자나 빈궁한 자를 죽이고 밤에는
도적 같이 되며
24:14 He who is purposing death gets up before day, so that he may put to death the poor
and those in need.
24:14 The murderer rising with the light kills the poor and needy, and in
the night is as a thief.
24:15 간음하는 자의 눈은 저물기를 바라며 아무 눈도 나를 보지 못하리라 하고
얼굴을 변장하며
24:15 And the man whose desire is for the wife of another is waiting for the evening,
saying, No eye will see me; and he puts a cover on his face. And in the night the
thief goes about;
24:15 The eye also of the adulterer waits for the twilight, saying, No eye
shall see me: and disguises his face.
24:16 밤에 집을 뚫는 자는 낮에는 문을 닫고 있은즉 광명을 알지 못하나니
24:16 In the dark he makes holes in the walls of houses: in the daytime they are shutting
themselves up, they have no knowledge of the light.
24:16 In the dark they dig through houses, which they had marked for themselves
in the daytime: they know not the light.
24:17 그들은 다 아침을 흑암 같이 여기니 흑암의 두려움을 앎이니라
24:17 For the middle of the night is as morning to them, they are not troubled by the
fear of the dark.
24:17 For the morning is to them even as the shadow of death: if one know
them, they are in the terrors of the shadow of death.
24:18 ○ 그들은 물 위에 빨리 흘러가고 그 산업은 세상에서 저주를 받나니 그들이
다시는 포도원 길로 행치 못할 것이라
24:18 They go quickly on the face of the waters; their heritage is cursed in the earth;
the steps of the crusher of grapes are not turned to their vine-garden.
24:18 He is swift as the waters; their portion is cursed in the earth: he
beholds not the way of the vineyards.
24:19 가뭄과 더위가 눈 녹은 물을 곧 말리나니 음부가 범죄자에게도 그와 같은
것인즉
24:19 Snow waters become dry with the heat: so do sinners go down into the underworld.
24:19 Drought and heat consume the snow waters: so does the grave those which
have sinned.
24:20 태가 그를 잊어버리고 구더기가 그를 달게 먹을 것이라 그는 기억함을 다시
얻지 못하나니 불의가 나무처럼 꺾이리라
24:20 The public place of his town has no more knowledge of him, and his name has gone
from the memory of men: he is rooted up like a dead tree.
24:20 The womb shall forget him; the worm shall feed sweetly on him; he shall
be no more remembered; and wickedness shall be broken as a tree.
24:21 그는 잉태치 못하므로 해산치 못한 여인을 학대하며 과부를 선대치 아니하는
자니라
24:21 He is not kind to the widow, and he has no pity for her child.
24:21 He evil entreats the barren that bears not: and does not good to the
widow.
24:22 그러나 하나님이 그 권능으로 강한 자들을 보존시키시니 살기를 바라지
못할 자도 일어나는구나
24:22 But God by his power gives long life to the strong; he gets up again, though he
has no hope of life.
24:22 He draws also the mighty with his power: he rises up, and no man is
sure of life.
24:23 하나님이 그들을 호위하사 평안케 하시나 그 눈은 그들의 길에 있구나
24:23 He takes away his fear of danger and gives him support; and his eyes are on his
ways.
24:23 Though it be given him to be in safety, whereon he rests; yet his eyes
are upon their ways.
24:24 그들은 높아져도 잠시간에 없어지나니 낮아져서 범인처럼 제함을 당하고
곡식 이삭 같이 베임을 입느니라
24:24 For a short time they are lifted up; then they are gone; they are made low, they
are pulled off like fruit, and like the heads of grain they are cut off.
24:24 They are exalted for a little while, but are gone and brought low;
they are taken out of the way as all other, and cut off as the tops of the ears
of corn.
24:25 가령 그렇지 않을지라도 능히 내 말을 거짓되다 지적하거나 내 말이 헛되다
변박할 자 누구랴
24:25 And if it is not so, now, who will make it clear that my words are false, and that
what I say is of no value?
24:25 And if it be not so now, who will make me a liar, and make my speech
nothing worth?
25:1 수아 사람 빌닷이 대답하여 가로되
25:1 Then Bildad the Shuhite made answer and said,

25:2 하나님은 권능과 위엄을 가지셨고 지극히 높은 곳에서 화평을 베푸시느니라
25:2 Rule and power are his; he makes peace in his high places.
25:2 Dominion and fear are with him, he makes peace in his high places.
25:3 그 군대를 어찌 계수할 수 있으랴 그 광명의 비췸을 입지 않은 자가 누구냐
25:3 Is it possible for his armies to be numbered? and on whom is not his light shining?
25:3 Is there any number of his armies? and upon whom does not his light
arise?
25:4 그런즉 하나님 앞에서 사람이 어찌 의롭다 하며 부녀에게서 난 자가 어찌
깨끗하다 하랴
25:4 How then is it possible for man to be upright before God? or how may he be clean
who is a son of woman?
25:4 How then can man be justified with God? or how can he be clean that
is born of a woman?
25:5 하나님의 눈에는 달이라도 명랑치 못하고 별도 깨끗지 못하거든
25:5 See, even the moon is not bright, and the stars are not clean in his eyes:
25:5 Behold even to the moon, and it shines not; yea, the stars are not pure
in his sight.
25:6 하물며 벌레인 사람, 구더기인 인생이랴
25:6 How much less man who is an insect, and the son of man who is a worm!
25:6 How much less man, that is a worm? and the son of man, which is a worm?
26:1 욥이 대답하여 가로되
26:1 Then Job made answer and said,
26:1 But Job answered and said,
26:2 네가 힘 없는 자를 참 잘 도왔구나 기력 없는 팔을 참 잘 구원하였구나
26:2 How have you given help to him who has no power! how have you been the salvation
of the arm which has no strength!
26:2 How have you helped him that is without power? how save you the arm
that has no strength?
26:3 지혜 없는 자를 참 잘 가르쳤구나 큰 지식을 참 잘 나타내었구나
26:3 How have you given teaching to him who has no wisdom, and fully made clear true
knowledge!
26:3 How have you counselled him that has no wisdom? and how have you plentifully
declared the thing as it is?
26:4 네가 누구를 향하여 말을 내었느냐 뉘 신이 네게서 나왔느냐
26:4 To whom have your words been said? and whose spirit came out from you?
26:4 To whom have you uttered words? and whose spirit came from you?
26:5 ○ 음령들이 큰 물과 수족 밑에서 떠나니
26:5 The shades in the underworld are shaking; the waters and those living in them.
26:5 Dead things are formed from under the waters, and the inhabitants thereof.
26:6 하나님 앞에는 음부도 드러나며 멸망의 웅덩이도 가리움이 없음이니라
26:6 The underworld is uncovered before him, and Destruction has no veil.
26:6 Hell is naked before him, and destruction has no covering.
26:7 그는 북편 하늘을 허공에 펴시며 땅을 공간에 다시며
26:7 By his hand the north is stretched out in space, and the earth is hanging on nothing.
26:7 He stretches out the north over the empty place, and hangs the earth
upon nothing.
26:8 물을 빽빽한 구름에 싸시나 그 밑의 구름이 찢어지지 아니하느니라
26:8 By him the waters are shut up in his thick clouds, and the cloud does not give way
under them.
26:8 He binds up the waters in his thick clouds; and the cloud is not rent
under them.
26:9 그는 자기의 보좌 앞을 가리우시고 자기 구름으로 그 위에 펴시며
26:9 By him the face of his high seat is veiled, and his cloud stretched out over it.
26:9 He holds back the face of his throne, and spreads his cloud upon it.
26:10 수면에 경계를 그으셨으되 빛과 어두움의 지경까지 한정을 세우셨느니라
26:10 By him a circle is marked out on the face of the waters, to the limits of the light
and the dark.
26:10 He has compassed the waters with bounds, until the day and night come
to an end.
26:11 그가 꾸짖으신즉 하늘 기둥이 떨며 놀라느니라
26:11 The pillars of heaven are shaking, and are overcome by his sharp words.
26:11 The pillars of heaven tremble and are astonished at his reproof.
26:12 그는 권능으로 바다를 흉용케 하시며 지혜로 라합을 쳐서 파하시며
26:12 By his power the sea was made quiet; and by his wisdom Rahab was wounded.
26:12 He divides the sea with his power, and by his understanding he strikes
through the proud.
26:13 그 신으로 하늘을 단장하시고 손으로 날랜 뱀을 찌르시나니
26:13 By his wind the heavens become bright: by his hand the quickly moving snake was
cut through.
26:13 By his spirit he has garnished the heavens; his hand has formed the
crooked serpent.
26:14 이런 것은 그 행사의 시작점이요 우리가 그에게 대하여 들은 것도 심히
세미한 소리 뿐이니라 그 큰 능력의 우뢰야 누가 능히 측량하랴
26:14 See, these are only the outskirts of his ways; and how small is that which comes
to our ears about him! But the thunder of his acts of power is outside all knowledge.
26:14 Lo, these are parts of his ways: but how little a portion is heard
of him? but the thunder of his power who can understand?
27:1 욥이 또 비사를 들어 가로되
27:1 And Job again took up the word and said,
27:1 Moreover Job continued his parable, and said,
27:2 나의 의를 빼앗으신 하나님, 나의 영혼을 괴롭게 하신 전능자의 사심을 가리켜
맹세하노니
27:2 By the life of God, who has taken away my right; and of the Ruler of all, who has
made my soul bitter;
27:2 As God lives, who has taken away my judgment; and the Almighty, who
has vexed my soul;
27:3 {나의 생명이 아직 내 속에 완전히 있고 하나님의 기운이 오히려 내 코에
있느니라}
27:3 (For all my breath is still in me, and the spirit of God is my life;)
27:3 All the while my breath is in me, and the spirit of God is in my nostrils;
27:4 결코 내 입술이 불의를 말하지 아니하며 내 혀가 궤휼을 발하지 아니하리라
27:4 Truly, there is no deceit in my lips, and my tongue does not say what is false.
27:4 My lips shall not speak wickedness, nor my tongue utter deceit.
27:5 나는 단정코 너희를 옳다 하지 아니하겠고 죽기 전에는 나의 순전함을 버리지
않을 것이라
27:5 Let it be far from me! I will certainly not say that you are right! I will come
to death before I give up my righteousness.
27:5 God forbid that I should justify you: till I die I will not remove mine
integrity from me.
27:6 내가 내 의를 굳게 잡고 놓지 아니하리니 일평생 내 마음이 나를 책망치
아니하리라
27:6 I will keep it safe, and will not let it go: my heart has nothing to say against
any part of my life.
27:6 My righteousness I hold fast, and will not let it go: my heart shall
not reproach me so long as I live.
27:7 나의 대적은 악인 같이 되고 일어나 나를 치는 자는 불의한 자 같이 되기를
원하노라
27:7 Let my hater be like the evil man, and let him who comes against me be as the sinner.
27:7 Let mine enemy be as the wicked, and he that rises up against me as
the unrighteous.
27:8 사곡한 자가 이익을 얻었으나 하나님이 그 영혼을 취하실 때에는 무슨 소망이
있으랴
27:8 For what is the hope of the sinner when he is cut off, when God takes back his soul?
27:8 For what is the hope of the hypocrite, though he has gained, when God
takes away his soul?
27:9 환난이 그에게 임할 때에 하나님이 어찌 그 부르짖음을 들으시랴
27:9 Will his cry come to the ears of God when he is in trouble?
27:9 Will God hear his cry when trouble comes upon him?
27:10 그가 어찌 전능자를 기뻐하겠느냐 항상 하나님께 불러 아뢰겠느냐
27:10 Will he take delight in the Ruler of all, and make his prayer to God at all times?
27:10 Will he delight himself in the Almighty? will he always call upon God?
27:11 하나님의 하시는 일을 내가 너희에게 가르칠 것이요 전능자의 뜻을 내가
숨기지 아니하리라
27:11 I will give you teaching about the hand of God; I will not keep secret from you
what is in the mind of the Ruler of all.
27:11 I will teach you by the hand of God: that which is with the Almighty
will I not conceal.
27:12 너희가 다 이것을 보았거늘 어찌하여 아주 허탄한 사람이 되었는고
27:12 Truly, you have all seen it yourselves; why then have you become completely foolish?
27:12 Behold, all you yourselves have seen it; why then are all of you thus
altogether vain?
27:13 ○ 악인이 하나님께 얻을 분깃, 강포자가 전능자에게 받을 산업은 이것이라
27:13 This is the punishment of the evil-doer from God, and the heritage given to the
cruel by the Ruler of all.
27:13 This is the portion of a wicked man with God, and the heritage of oppressors,
which they shall receive of the Almighty.
27:14 그 자손이 번성하여도 칼을 위함이요 그 후에는 식물에 배부르지 못할 것이며
27:14 If his children are increased, it is for the sword; and his offspring have not enough
bread.
27:14 If his children be multiplied, it is for the sword: and his offspring
shall not be satisfied with bread.
27:15 그 남은 자는 염병으로 묻히리니 그의 과부들이 울지 못할 것이며
27:15 When those of his house who are still living come to their end by disease, they
are not put into the earth, and their widows are not weeping for them.
27:15 Those that remain of him shall be buried in death: and his widows shall
not weep.
27:16 그가 비록 은을 티끌 같이 쌓고 의복을 진흙 같이 예비할지라도
27:16 Though he may get silver together like dust, and make ready great stores of clothing;
27:16 Though he heap up silver as the dust, and prepare raiment as the clay;
27:17 그 예비한 것을 의인이 입을 것이요 그 은은 무죄자가 나눌 것이며
27:17 He may get them ready, but the upright will put them on, and he who is free from
sin will take the silver for a heritage.
27:17 He may prepare it, but the just shall put it on, and the innocent shall
divide the silver.
27:18 그 지은 집은 좀의 집 같고 상직군의 초막 같을 것이며
27:18 His house has no more strength than a spider's thread, or a watchman's tent.
27:18 He builds his house as a moth, and as a booth that the keeper makes.
27:19 부자로 누우나 그 조상에게로 돌아가지 못할 것이요 눈을 뜬즉 없어졌으리라
27:19 He goes to rest full of wealth, but does so for the last time: on opening his eyes,
he sees it there no longer.
27:19 The rich man shall lie down, but he shall not be gathered: he opens
his eyes, and he is not.
27:20 두려움이 물 같이 그를 따라 미칠 것이요 폭풍이 밤에 그를 빼앗아갈 것이며
27:20 Fears overtake him like rushing waters; in the night the storm-wind takes him away.
27:20 Terrors take hold on him as waters, a tempest steals him away in the
night.
27:21 동풍이 그를 날려보내며 그 처소에서 몰아내리라
27:21 The east wind takes him up and he is gone; he is forced violently out of his place.
27:21 The east wind carries him away, and he departs: and as a storm hurls
him out of his place.
27:22 하나님이 그를 아끼지 아니하시고 쏘시나니 그가 그 손에서 피하려 하여도
못할 것이라
27:22 God sends his arrows against him without mercy; he goes in flight before his hand.
27:22 For God shall cast upon him, and not spare: he would fain flee out
of his hand.
27:23 사람들이 박장하며 비소하고 그 처소에서 몰아내리라
27:23 Men make signs of joy because of him, driving him from his place with sounds of
hissing.
27:23 Men shall clap their hands at him, and shall hiss him out of his place.
28:1 은은 나는 광이 있고 연단하는 금은 나는 곳이 있으며
28:1 Truly there is a mine for silver, and a place where gold is washed out.
28:1 Surely there is a vein for the silver, and a place for gold where they
fine it.
28:2 철은 흙에서 취하고 동은 돌에서 녹여 얻느니라
28:2 Iron is taken out of the earth, and stone is changed into brass by the fire.
28:2 Iron is taken out of the earth, and brass is molten out of the stone.
28:3 사람이 흑암을 파하고 끝까지 궁구하여 음예와 유암 중의 광석을 구하되
28:3 Man puts an end to the dark, searching out to the farthest limit the stones of the
deep places of the dark.
28:3 He sets an end to darkness, and searches out all perfection: the stones
of darkness, and the shadow of death.
28:4 사람 사는 곳에서 멀리 떠나 구멍을 깊이 뚫고 발이 땅에 닿지 않게 달려
내리니 멀리 사람과 격절되고 흔들흔들 하느니라
28:4 He makes a deep mine far away from those living in the light of day; when they go
about on the earth, they have no knowledge of those who are under them, who are
hanging far from men, twisting from side to side on a cord.
28:4 The flood breaks out from the inhabitant; even the waters forgotten
of the foot: they are dried up, they are gone away from men.
28:5 지면은 식물을 내나 지하는 불로 뒤집는 것 같고
28:5 As for the earth, bread comes out of it; but under its face it is turned up as if
by fire.

28:6 그 돌 가운데에는 남보석이 있고 사금도 있으며

it.
28:9 사람이 굳은 바위에 손을 대고 산을 뿌리까지 무너뜨리며
28:9 Man puts out his hand on the hard rock, overturning mountains by the roots.
28:9 He puts forth his hand upon the rock; he overturns the mountains by
the roots.
28:10 돌 가운데로 도랑을 파서 각종 보물을 눈으로 발견하고
28:10 He makes deep ways, cut through the rock, and his eye sees everything of value.
28:10 He cuts out rivers among the rocks; and his eye sees every precious
thing.
28:11 시냇물을 막아 스미지 않게 하고 감취었던 것을 밝은데로 내느니라
28:11 He keeps back the streams from flowing, and makes the secret things come out into
the light.
28:11 He binds the floods from overflowing; and the thing that is hid brings
he forth to light.
28:12 ○ 그러나 지혜는 어디서 얻으며 명철의 곳은 어디인고
28:12 But where may wisdom be seen? and where is the resting-place of knowledge?
28:12 But where shall wisdom be found? and where is the place of understanding?
28:13 그 값을 사람이 알지 못하나니 사람 사는 땅에서 찾을 수 없구나
28:13 Man has not seen the way to it, and it is not in the land of the living.
28:13 Man knows not the price thereof; neither is it found in the land of
the living.
28:14 깊은 물이 이르기를 내 속에 있지 아니하다 하며 바다가 이르기를 나와
함께 있지 아니하다 하느니라
28:14 The deep waters say, It is not in me: and the sea says, It is not with me.
28:14 The depth says, It is not in me: and the sea says, It is not with me.
28:15 정금으로도 바꿀 수 없고 은을 달아도 그 값을 당치 못하리니
28:15 Gold may not be given for it, or a weight of silver in payment for it.
28:15 It cannot be got for gold, neither shall silver be weighed for the
price thereof.
28:16 오빌의 금이나 귀한 수마노나 남보석으로도 그 값을 당치 못하겠고
28:16 It may not be valued with the gold of Ophir, with the onyx of great price, or the
sapphire.
28:16 It cannot be valued with the gold of Ophir, with the precious onyx,
or the sapphire.
28:17 황금이나 유리라도 비교할 수 없고 정금 장식으로도 바꿀 수 없으며
28:17 Gold and glass are not equal to it in price, and it may not be exchanged for jewels
of the best gold.
28:17 The gold and the crystal cannot equal it: and the exchange of it shall
not be for jewels of fine gold.
28:18 산호나 수정으로도 말할 수 없나니 지혜의 값은 홍보석보다 귀하구나
28:18 There is no need to say anything about coral or crystal; and the value of wisdom
is greater than that of pearls.
28:18 No mention shall be made of coral, or of pearls: for the price of wisdom
is above rubies.
28:19 구스의 황옥으로도 비교할 수 없고 순금으로도 그 값을 측량하지 못하리니
28:19 The topaz of Ethiopia is not equal to it, and it may not be valued with the best
gold.
28:19 The topaz of Ethiopia shall not equal it, neither shall it be valued
with pure gold.
28:20 그런즉 지혜는 어디서 오며 명철의 곳은 어디인고
28:20 From where then does wisdom come, and where is the resting-place of knowledge?
28:20 Whence then comes wisdom? and where is the place of understanding?
28:21 모든 생물의 눈에 숨겨졌고 공중의 새에게 가리워졌으며
28:21 For it is kept secret from the eyes of all living, unseen by the birds of the air.
28:21 Seeing it is hid from the eyes of all living, and kept close from the
fowls of the air.
28:22 멸망과 사망도 이르기를 우리가 귀로 그 소문은 들었다 하느니라
28:22 Destruction and Death say, We have only had word of it with our ears.
28:22 Destruction and death say, We have heard the fame thereof with our
ears.
28:23 하나님이 그 길을 깨달으시며 있는 곳을 아시나니
28:23 God has knowledge of the way to it, and of its resting-place;
28:23 God understands the way thereof, and he knows the place thereof.
28:24 이는 그가 땅 끝까지 감찰하시며 온 천하를 두루 보시며
28:24 For his eyes go to the ends of the earth, and he sees everything under heaven.
28:24 For he looks to the ends of the earth, and sees under the whole heaven;
28:25 바람의 경중을 정하시며 물을 되어 그 분량을 정하시며
28:25 When he made a weight for the wind, measuring out the waters;
28:25 To make the weight for the winds; and he weights the waters by measure.
28:26 비를 위하여 명령하시고 우뢰의 번개를 위하여 길을 정하셨음이라
28:26 When he made a law for the rain, and a way for the thunder-flames;
28:26 When he made a decree for the rain, and a way for the lightning of
the thunder:
28:27 그 때에 지혜를 보시고 선포하시며 굳게 세우시며 궁구하셨고
28:27 Then he saw it, and put it on record; he gave it its fixed form, searching it out
completely.
28:27 Then did he see it, and declare it; he prepared it, yea, and searched
it out.
28:28 또 사람에게 이르시기를 주를 경외함이 곧 지혜요 악을 떠남이 명철이라
하셨느니라
28:28 And he said to man, Truly the fear of the Lord is wisdom, and to keep from evil
is the way to knowledge.

29:2 If only I might again be as I was in the months which are past, in the days when
God was watching over me!
29:2 Oh that I were as in months past, as in the days when God preserved
me;
29:3 그 때는 그의 등불이 내 머리에 비취었고 내가 그 광명을 힘입어 흑암에
행하였었느니라
29:3 When his light was shining over my head, and when I went through the dark by his
light.
29:3 When his candle shined upon my head, and when by his light I walked
through darkness;
29:4 나의 강장하던 날과 같이 지내었으면 그 때는 하나님의 우정이 내 장막 위에
있었으며
29:4 As I was in my flowering years, when my tent was covered by the hand of God;
29:4 As I was in the days of my youth, when the secret of God was upon my
tabernacle;
29:5 그 때는 전능자가 오히려 나와 함께 계셨으며 나의 자녀들이 나를 둘러 있었으며
29:5 While the Ruler of all was still with me, and my children were round me;
29:5 When the Almighty was yet with me, when my children were about me;
29:6 뻐터가 내 발자취를 씻기며 반석이 나를 위하여 기름 시내를 흘러 내었으며
29:6 When my steps were washed with milk, and rivers of oil were flowing out of the rock
for me.
29:6 When I washed my steps with butter, and the rock poured me out rivers
of oil;
29:7 그 때는 내가 나가서 성문에 이르기도 하며 내 자리를 거리에 베풀기도 하였었느니라
29:7 When I went out of my door to go up to the town, and took my seat in the public
place,
29:7 When I went out to the gate through the city, when I prepared my seat
in the street!
29:8 나를 보고 소년들은 숨으며 노인들은 일어나서 서며
29:8 The young men saw me, and went away, and the old men got up from their seats;
29:8 The young men saw me, and hid themselves: and the aged arose, and stood
up.
29:9 방백들은 말을 참고 손으로 입을 가리우며
29:9 The rulers kept quiet, and put their hands on their mouths;
29:9 The princes refrained talking, and laid their hand on their mouth.
29:10 귀인들은 소리를 금하니 그 혀가 입 천장에 붙었었느니라
29:10 The chiefs kept back their words, and their tongues were joined to the roofs of
their mouths.
29:10 The nobles held their peace, and their tongue cleaved to the roof of
their mouth.
29:11 귀가 들은즉 나를 위하여 축복하고 눈이 본즉 나를 위하여 증거하였었나니
29:11 For when it came to their ears, men said that I was truly happy; and when their
eyes saw, they gave witness to me;
29:11 When the ear heard me, then it blessed me; and when the eye saw me,
it gave witness to me:
29:12 이는 내가 부르짖는 빈민과 도와 줄 자 없는 고아를 건졌음이라
29:12 For I was a saviour to the poor when he was crying for help, to the child with no
father, and to him who had no supporter.
29:12 Because I delivered the poor that cried, and the fatherless, and him
that had none to help him.
29:13 망하게 된 자도 나를 위하여 복을 빌었으며 과부의 마음이 나로 인하여
기뻐 노래하였었느니라
29:13 The blessing of him who was near to destruction came on me, and I put a song of
joy into the widow's heart.
29:13 The blessing of him that was ready to perish came upon me: and I caused
the widow's heart to sing for joy.
29:14 내가 의로 옷을 삼아 입었으며 나의 공의는 도포와 면류관 같았었느니라
29:14 I put on righteousness as my clothing, and was full of it; right decisions were
to me a robe and a head-dress.
29:14 I put on righteousness, and it clothed me: my judgment was as a robe
and a diadem.
29:15 나는 소경의 눈도 되고 절뚝발이의 발도 되고
29:15 I was eyes to the blind, and feet to him who had no power of walking.
29:15 I was eyes to the blind, and feet was I to the lame.
29:16 빈궁한 자의 아비도 되며 생소한 자의 일을 사실하여 주었으며
29:16 I was a father to the poor, searching out the cause of him who was strange to me.
29:16 I was a father to the poor: and the cause which I knew not I searched
out.
29:17 불의한 자의 어금니를 꺾고 그 잇사이에서 겁탈한 물건을 빼어 내었었느니라
29:17 By me the great teeth of the evil-doer were broken, and I made him give up what
he had violently taken away.
29:17 And I brake the jaws of the wicked, and plucked the spoil out of his
teeth.
29:18 내가 스스로 말하기를 나는 내 보금자리에서 선종하리라 나의 날은 모래 같이
많을 것이라
29:18 Then I said, I will come to my end with my children round me, my days will be as
the sand in number;
29:18 Then I said, I shall die in my nest, and I shall multiply my days as
the sand.
29:19 내 뿌리는 물로 뻗어나가고 내 가지는 밤이 맟도록 이슬에 젖으며
29:19 My root will be open to the waters, and the night mist will be on my branches,
29:19 My root was spread out by the waters, and the dew lay all night upon
my branch.
29:20 내 영광은 내게 새로와지고 내 활은 내 손에서 날로 강하여지느니라 하였었노라
29:20 My glory will be ever new, and my bow will be readily bent in my hand.
29:20 My glory was fresh in me, and my bow was renewed in my hand.
29:21 무리는 내 말을 들으며 나의 가르치기를 잠잠히 기다리다가
29:21 Men gave ear to me, waiting and keeping quiet for my suggestions.
29:21 Unto me men gave ear, and waited, and kept silence at my counsel.
29:22 내가 말한 후에 그들이 말을 내지 못하였었나니 나의 말이 그들에게 이슬 같이
됨이니라
29:22 After I had said what was in my mind, they were quiet and let my words go deep into
their hearts;
29:22 After my words they spoke not again; and my speech dropped upon them.
29:23 그들이 나 바라기를 비 같이 하였으며 입을 벌리기를 늦은 비 기다리듯 하였으므로
29:23 They were waiting for me as for the rain, opening their mouths wide as for the spring
rains.
29:23 And they waited for me as for the rain; and they opened their mouth
wide as for the latter rain.
29:24 그들이 의지 없을 때에 내가 함소하여 동정하면 그들이 나의 얼굴 빛을
무색하게 아니하였었느니라
29:24 I was laughing at them when they had no hope, and the light of my face was never
clouded by their fear.
29:24 If I laughed on them, they believed it not; and the light of my countenance
they cast not down.
29:25 내가 그들의 길을 택하고 으뜸으로 앉았었나니 왕이 군중에 거함도 같았고
애곡하는 자를 위로하는 사람도 같았었느니라
29:25 I took my place as a chief, guiding them on their way, and I was as a king among
his army. ...
29:25 I chose out their way, and sat chief, and dwelt as a king in the army,
as one that comforts the mourners.
30:1 그러나 이제는 나보다 젊은 자들이 나를 기롱하는구나 그들의 아비들은 나의
보기에 나의 양 떼 지키는 개 중에도 둘만하지 못한 자니라
30:1 But now those who are younger than I make sport of me; those whose fathers I would
not have put with the dogs of my flocks.
30:1 But now they that are younger than I have me in derision, whose fathers
I would have disdained to have set with the dogs of my flock.
30:2 그들은 장년의 기력이 쇠한 자니 그 손의 힘이 내게 무엇이 유익하랴
30:2 Of what use is the strength of their hands to me? all force is gone from them.
30:2 Yea, whereto might the strength of their hands profit me, in whom old
age was perished?
30:3 그들은 곧 궁핍과 기근으로 파리하매 캄캄하고 거친 들에서 마른 흙을 씹으며
30:3 They are wasted for need of food, biting the dry earth; their only hope of life
is in the waste land.
30:3 For lack and famine they were solitary; fleeing into the wilderness
in former time desolate and waste.
30:4 떨기나무 가운데서 짠 나물도 꺾으며 대싸리 뿌리로 식물을 삼느니라
30:4 They are pulling off the salt leaves from the brushwood, and making a meal of roots.
30:4 Who cut up mallows by the bushes, and juniper roots for their food.
30:5 무리는 도적을 외침 같이 그들에게 소리 지름으로 그들은 사람 가운데서 쫓겨나서
30:5 They are sent out from among their townsmen, men are crying after them as thieves
30:5 They were driven forth from among men, (they cried after them as after
a thief;)
30:6 침침한 골짜기와 흙 구덩이와 바위 구멍에서 살며
30:6 They have to get a resting-place in the hollows of the valleys, in holes of the
earth and rocks.
30:6 To dwell in the cliffs of the valleys, in caves of the earth, and in
the rocks.
30:7 떨기나무 가운데서 나귀처럼 부르짖으며 가시나무 아래 모여 있느니라
30:7 They make noises like asses among the brushwood; they get together under the thorns.
30:7 Among the bushes they brayed; under the nettles they were gathered together.
30:8 그들은 본래 미련한 자의 자식이요 비천한 자의 자식으로서 고토에서 쫓겨난
자니라
30:8 They are sons of shame, and of men without a name, who have been forced out of the
land.
30:8 They were children of fools, yea, children of base men: they were viler
than the earth.
30:9 ○ 이제는 내가 그들의 노래가 되며 그들의 조롱거리가 되었고
30:9 And now I have become their song, and I am a word of shame to them.
30:9 And now am I their song, yea, I am their byword.
30:10 그들은 나를 미워하여 멀리하고 내 얼굴에 침 뱉기를 주저하지 아니하나니
30:10 I am disgusting to them; they keep away from me, and put marks of shame on me.
30:10 They detest me, they flee far from me, and spare not to spit in my
face.
30:11 이는 하나님이 내 줄을 늘어지게 하시고 나를 곤고케 하시매 무리가 내
앞에서 굴레를 벗었음이니라
30:11 For he has made loose the cord of my bow, and put me to shame; he has sent down
my flag to the earth before me.
30:11 Because he has loosed my cord, and afflicted me, they have also let
loose the bridle before me.
30:12 그 낮은 무리가 내 우편에서 일어나 내 발을 밀뜨리고 나를 대적하여 멸망시킬
길을 쌓으며
30:12 The lines of his men of war put themselves in order, and make high their ways of
destruction against me:
30:12 Upon my right hand rise the youth; they push away my feet, and they
raise up against me the ways of their destruction.
30:13 도울 자 없는 그들이 내 길을 헐고 내 재앙을 재촉하는구나
30:13 They have made waste my roads, with a view to my destruction; his bowmen come round
about me;
30:13 They ruin my path, they set forward my calamity, they have no helper.
30:14 성을 크게 파괴하고 그 파괴한 가운데로 몰려 들어오는 것 같이 그들이
내게로 달려드니
30:14 As through a wide broken place in the wall they come on, I am overturned by the
shock of their attack.
30:14 They came upon me as a wide breaking in of waters: in the desolation
they rolled themselves upon me.
30:15 놀람이 내게 임하는구나 그들이 내 영광을 바람 같이 모니 내 복록이 구름 같이
지나갔구나
30:15 Fears have come on me; my hope is gone like the wind, and my well-being like a cloud.
30:15 Terrors are turned upon me: they pursue my soul as the wind: and my
welfare passes away as a cloud.
30:16 이제는 내 마음이 내 속에서 녹으니 환난 날이 나를 잡음이라
30:16 But now my soul is turned to water in me, days of trouble overtake me:
30:16 And now my soul is poured out upon me; the days of affliction have
taken hold upon me.
30:17 밤이 되면 내 뼈가 쑤시니 나의 몸에 아픔이 쉬지 아니하는구나
30:17 The flesh is gone from my bones, and they give me no rest; there is no end to my
pains.
30:17 My bones are pierced in me in the night season: and my sinews take
no rest.
30:18 하나님의 큰 능력으로 하여 옷이 추하여져서 옷깃처럼 내 몸에 붙었구나
30:18 With great force he takes a grip of my clothing, pulling me by the neck of my coat.
30:18 By the great force of my disease is my garment changed: it binds me
about as the collar of my coat.
30:19 하나님이 나를 진흙 가운데 던지셨고 나로 티끌과 재 같게 하셨구나
30:19 Truly God has made me low, even to the earth, and I have become like dust.
30:19 He has cast me into the mire, and I am become like dust and ashes.
30:20 내가 주께 부르짖으오나 주께서 대답지 아니하시오며 내가 섰사오나 주께서
굽어보시기만 하시나이다
30:20 You give no answer to my cry, and take no note of my prayer.
30:20 I cry unto you, and you do not hear me: I stand up, and you regard
me not.
30:21 주께서 돌이켜 내게 잔혹히 하시고 완력으로 나를 핍박하시오며
30:21 You have become cruel to me; the strength of your hand is hard on me.
30:21 You are become cruel to me: with your strong hand you oppose yourself
against me.
30:22 나를 바람 위에 들어 얹어 불려가게 하시며 대풍 중에 소멸케 하시나이다
30:22 Lifting me up, you make me go on the wings of the wind; I am broken up by the storm.
30:22 You lift me up to the wind; you cause me to ride upon it, and dissolve
my substance.
30:23 내가 아나이다 주께서 나를 죽게 하사 모든 생물을 위하여 정한 집으로
끌어가시리이다
30:23 For I am certain that you will send me back to death, and to the meeting-place ordered
for all living.
30:23 For I know that you will bring me to death, and to the house appointed
for all living.
30:24 ○ 그러나 사람이 넘어질 때에 어찌 손을 펴지 아니하며 재앙을 당할 때에
어찌 도움을 부르짖지 아니하겠는가
30:24 Has not my hand been stretched out in help to the poor? have I not been a saviour
to him in his trouble?
30:24 Nevertheless he will not stretch out his hand to the grave, though
they cry in his destruction.
30:25 고생의 날 보내는 자를 위하여 내가 울지 아니하였는가 빈궁한 자를 위하여
내 마음에 근심하지 아니하였는가
30:25 Have I not been weeping for the crushed? and was not my soul sad for him who was
in need?
30:25 Did not I weep for him that was in trouble? was not my soul grieved
for the poor?
30:26 내가 복을 바랐더니 화가 왔고 광명을 기다렸더니 흑암이 왔구나
30:26 For I was looking for good, and evil came; I was waiting for light, and it became
dark.
30:26 When I looked for good, then evil came unto me: and when I waited for
light, there came darkness.
30:27 내 마음이 어지러워서 쉬지 못하는구나 환난 날이 내게 임하였구나
30:27 My feelings are strongly moved, and give me no rest; days of trouble have overtaken
me.
30:27 My bowels boiled, and rested not: the days of affliction prevented
me.
30:28 나는 햇볕에 쬐지 않고 검어진 살을 가지고 걸으며 공회 중에 서서 도움을
부르짖고 있느니라
30:28 I go about in dark clothing, uncomforted; I get up in the public place, crying out
for help.
30:28 I went mourning without the sun: I stood up, and I cried in the congregation.
30:29 나는 이리의 형제요 타조의 벗이로구나
30:29 I have become a brother to the jackals, and go about in the company of ostriches.
30:29 I am a brother to dragons, and a companion to owls.
30:30 내 가죽은 검어져서 떨어졌고 내 뼈는 열기로 하여 탔구나
30:30 My skin is black and dropping off me; and my bones are burning with the heat of
my disease.
30:30 My skin is black upon me, and my bones are burned with heat.
30:31 내 수금은 애곡성이 되고 내 피리는 애통성이 되었구나
30:31 And my music has been turned to sorrow, and the sound of my pipe into the noise
of weeping.
30:31 My harp also is turned to mourning, and my organ into the voice of
them that weep.
31:1 내가 내 눈과 언약을 세웠나니 어찌 처녀에게 주목하랴
31:1 I made an agreement with my eyes; how then might my eyes be looking on a virgin?
31:1 I made a covenant with mine eyes; why then should I think upon a maid?
31:2 그리하면 위에 계신 하나님의 내리시는 분깃이 무엇이겠으며 높은 곳에서
전능자의 주시는 산업이 무엇이겠느냐
31:2 For what is God's reward from on high, or the heritage given by the Ruler of all
from heaven?
31:2 For what portion of God is there from above? and what inheritance of
the Almighty from on high?
31:3 불의자에게는 환난이 아니겠느냐 행악자에게는 재앙이 아니겠느냐
31:3 Is it not trouble for the sinner, and destruction for the evil-doers?
31:3 Is not destruction to the wicked? and a strange punishment to the workers
of iniquity?
31:4 그가 내 길을 감찰하지 아니하시느냐 내 걸음을 다 세지 아니하시느냐
31:4 Does he not see my ways, and are not my steps all numbered?
31:4 Does not he see my ways, and count all my steps?
31:5 ○ 언제 나의 행위가 허탄하였으며 내 발이 궤휼에 빨랐던가
31:5 If I have gone in false ways, or my foot has been quick in working deceit;
31:5 If I have walked with vanity, or if my foot has hasted to deceit;
31:6 그리하였으면 내가 공평한 저울에 달려서 하나님이 나의 정직함을 아시게
되기를 원하노라
31:6 (Let me be measured in upright scales, and let God see my righteousness:)
31:6 Let me be weighed in an even balance that God may know mine integrity.
31:7 언제 내 걸음이 길에서 떠났던가 내 마음이 내 눈을 따라갔던가 내 손에
더러운 것이 묻었던가
31:7 If my steps have been turned out of the way, or if my heart went after my eyes,
or if the property of another is in my hands;
31:7 If my step has turned out of the way, and mine heart walked after mine
eyes, and if any blot has cleaved to mine hands;
31:8 그리하였으면 나의 심은 것을 타인이 먹으며 나의 소산이 뿌리까지 뽑히는
것이 마땅하니라
31:8 Let me put seed in the earth for another to have the fruit of it, and let my produce
be uprooted.
31:8 Then let me sow, and let another eat; yea, let my offspring be rooted
out.
31:9 ○ 언제 내 마음이 여인에게 유혹되어 이웃의 문을 엿보아 기다렸던가
31:9 If my heart went after another man's wife, or if I was waiting secretly at my neighbour's
door;
31:9 If mine heart have been deceived by a woman, or if I have laid wait
at my neighbour's door;
31:10 그리하였으면 내 처가 타인의 매를 돌리며 타인이 더불어 동침하는 것이
마땅하니라
31:10 Then let my wife give pleasure to another man and let others make use of her body.
31:10 Then let my wife grind unto another, and let others bow down upon her.
31:11 이는 중죄라 재판장에게 벌 받을 악이요
31:11 For that would be a crime; it would be an act for which punishment would be measured
out by the judges:
31:11 For this is an heinous crime; yea, it is an iniquity to be punished
by the judges.
31:12 멸망하도록 사르는 불이라 나의 모든 소산을 뿌리까지 없이 할 것이니라
31:12 It would be a fire burning even to destruction, and taking away all my produce.
31:12 For it is a fire that consumes to destruction, and would root out all
mine increase.
31:13 남종이나 여종이 나로 더불어 쟁변할 때에 내가 언제 그의 사정을 멸시하였던가
31:13 If I did wrong in the cause of my man-servant, or my woman-servant, when they went
to law with me;
31:13 If I did despise the cause of my manservant or of my maidservant, when
they contended with me;
31:14 그리하였으면 하나님이 일어나실 때에는 내가 어떻게 하겠느냐 하나님이
국문하실 때에는 내가 무엇이라 대답하겠느냐
31:14 What then will I do when God comes as my judge? and what answer may I give to his
questions?
31:14 What then shall I do when God rises up? and when he visits, what shall
I answer him?
31:15 나를 태 속에 만드신 자가 그도 만들지 아니하셨느냐 우리를 뱃속에 지으신
자가 하나가 아니시냐
31:15 Did not God make him as well as me? did he not give us life in our mothers' bodies?
31:15 Did not he that made me in the womb make him? and did not one fashion
us in the womb?
31:16 ○ 내가 언제 가난한 자의 소원을 막았던가 과부의 눈으로 실망케 하였던가
31:16 If I kept back the desire of the poor; if the widow's eye was looking for help to
no purpose;
31:16 If I have withheld the poor from their desire, or have caused the eyes
of the widow to fail;
31:17 나만 홀로 식물을 먹고 고아에게 먹이지 아니하였던가
31:17 If I kept my food for myself, and did not give some of it to the child with no father;
31:17 Or have eaten my morsel myself alone, and the fatherless has not eaten
thereof;
31:18 실상은 내가 젊었을 때부터 고아를 기르기를 그의 아비처럼 하였으며 내가
모태에서 나온 후로 과부를 인도하였었노라
31:18 (For I was cared for by God as by a father from my earliest days; he was my guide
from the body of my mother;)
31:18 (For from my youth he was brought up with me, as with a father, and
I have guided her from my mother's womb;)
31:19 내가 언제 사람이 의복이 없이 죽게 된 것이나 빈궁한 자가 덮을 것이 없는
것을 보고도
31:19 If I saw one near to death for need of clothing, and that the poor had nothing covering
him;
31:19 If I have seen any perish for lack of clothing, or any poor without
covering;
31:20 나의 양털로 그 몸을 더웁게 입혀서 그로 나를 위하여 복을 빌게 하지 아니하였던가
31:20 If his back did not give me a blessing, and the wool of my sheep did not make him
warm;
31:20 If his loins have not blessed me, and if he were not warmed with the
fleece of my sheep;
31:21 나를 도와 주는 자가 성문에 있음을 보고 내가 손을 들어 고아를 쳤던가
31:21 If my hand had been lifted up against him who had done no wrong, when I saw that
I was supported by the judges;
31:21 If I have lifted up my hand against the fatherless, when I saw my help
in the gate:
31:22 그리하였으면 내 어깨가 어깨 뼈에서 떨어지고 내 팔 뼈가 부러짐이 마땅하니라
31:22 May my arm be pulled from my body, and be broken from its base.
31:22 Then let mine arm fall from my shoulder blade, and mine arm be broken
from the bone.
31:23 나는 하나님의 재앙을 심히 두려워하고 그 위엄을 인하여 아무 것도 할 수
없느니라
31:23 For the fear of God kept me back, and because of his power I might not do such things.
31:23 For destruction from God was a terror to me, and by reason of his highness
I could not endure.
31:24 ○ 내가 언제 금으로 내 소망을 삼고 정금더러 너는 내 의뢰하는 바라 하였던가
31:24 If I made gold my hope, or if I ever said to the best gold, I have put my faith
in you;
31:24 If I have made gold my hope, or have said to the fine gold, You are
my confidence;
31:25 언제 재물의 풍부함과 손으로 얻은 것이 많음으로 기뻐하였던가
31:25 If I was glad because my wealth was great, and because my hand had got together
a great store;
31:25 If I rejoice because my wealth was great, and because mine hand had
got much;
31:26 언제 태양의 빛남과 달의 명랑하게 운행되는 것을 보고
31:26 If, when I saw the sun shining, and the moon moving on its bright way,
31:26 If I beheld the sun when it shined, or the moon walking in brightness;
31:27 내 마음이 가만히 유혹되어 손에 입맞추었던가
31:27 A secret feeling of worship came into my heart, and my hand gave kisses from my
mouth;
31:27 And my heart has been secretly enticed, or my mouth has kissed my hand:
31:28 이 역시 재판장에게 벌 받을 죄악이니 내가 그리하였으면 위에 계신 하나님을
배반한 것이니라
31:28 That would have been another sin to be rewarded with punishment by the judges; for
I would have been false to God on high.
31:28 This also were an iniquity to be punished by the judge: for I should
have denied the God that is above.
31:29 내가 언제 나를 미워하는 자의 멸망을 기뻐하였으며 그의 재앙 만남을 인하여
기운을 뽐내었던가
31:29 If I was glad at the trouble of my hater, and gave cries of joy when evil overtook
him;
31:29 If I rejoice at the destruction of him that hated me, or lifted up
myself when evil found him:
31:30 실상은 내가 그의 죽기를 구하는 말로 저주하여 내 입으로 범죄케 아니하였느니라
31:30 (For I did not let my mouth give way to sin, in putting a curse on his life;)
31:30 Neither have I suffered my mouth to sin by wishing a curse to his soul.
31:31 내 장막 사람의 말이 주인의 고기에 배부르지 않은 자가 어디 있느뇨 하지
아니하였었는가
31:31 If the men of my tent did not say, Who has not had full measure of his meat?
31:31 If the men of my tabernacle said not, Oh that we had of his flesh!
we cannot be satisfied.
31:32 나그네로 거리에서 자게 하지 아니하고 내가 행인에게 내 문을 열어 주었었노라
31:32 The traveller did not take his night's rest in the street, and my doors were open
to anyone on a journey;
31:32 The stranger did not lodge in the street: but I opened my doors to
the traveller.
31:33 내가 언제 큰 무리를 두려워하며 족속의 멸시를 무서워함으로 잠잠하고
문에 나가지 아니하여 타인처럼 내 죄악을 품에 숨겨 허물을 가리었었던가
31:33 If I kept my evil doings covered, and my sin in the secret of my breast,
31:33 If I covered my transgressions as Adam, by hiding mine iniquity in
my bosom:
31:34 {상동}
31:34 For fear of the great body of people, or for fear that families might make sport
of me, so that I kept quiet, and did not go out of my door;
31:34 Did I fear a great multitude, or did the contempt of families terrify
me, that I kept silence, and went not out of the door?
31:35 누구든지 나의 변백을 들을지니라 나의 서명이 여기 있으니 전능자가 내게
대답하시기를 원하노라 내 대적의 기록한 소송장이 내게 있으면
31:35 If only God would give ear to me, and the Ruler of all would give me an answer!
or if what he has against me had been put in writing!
31:35 Oh that one would hear me! behold, my desire is, that the Almighty
would answer me, and that mine adversary had written a book.
31:36 내가 어깨에 메기도 하고 면류관처럼 머리에 쓰기도 하며
31:36 Truly I would take up the book in my hands; it would be to me as a crown;
31:36 Surely I would take it upon my shoulder, and bind it as a crown to
me.
31:37 내 걸음의 수효를 그에게 고하고 왕족처럼 그를 가까이 하였으리라
31:37 I would make clear the number of my steps, I would put it before him like a prince!
The words of Job are ended.
31:37 I would declare unto him the number of my steps; as a prince would
I go near unto him.
31:38 언제 내 토지가 부르짖어 나를 책망하며 그 이랑이 일시에 울었던가
31:38 If my land has made an outcry against me, or the ploughed earth has been in sorrow;
31:38 If my land cry against me, or that the furrows likewise thereof complain;
31:39 언제 내가 값을 내지 않고 그 소산물을 먹고 그 소유주로 생명을 잃게 하였던가
31:39 If I have taken its produce without payment, causing the death of its owners;
31:39 If I have eaten the fruits thereof without money, or have caused the
owners thereof to lose their life:
31:40 그리하였으면 밀 대신에 찔레가 나고 보리 대신에 잡풀이 나는 것이 마땅하니라
하고 욥의 말이 그치니라
31:40 Then in place of grain let thorns come up, and in place of barley evil-smelling
plants.
31:40 Let thistles grow instead of wheat, and cockle instead of barley. The
words of Job are ended.
32:1 욥이 스스로 의롭게 여기므로 그 세 사람의 대답이 그치매
32:1 So these three men gave no more answers to Job, because he seemed to himself to
be right.
32:1 So these three men ceased to answer Job, because he was righteous in
his own eyes.
32:2 람 족속 부스 사람 바라겔의 아들 엘리후가 노를 발하니 그가 욥에게 노를
발함은 욥이 하나님보다 자기가 의롭다 함이요
32:2 And Elihu, the son of Barachel the Buzite, of the family of Ram, was angry, burning
with wrath against Job, because he seemed to himself more right than God;
32:2 Then was kindled the wrath of Elihu the son of Barachel the Buzite,
of the kindred of Ram: against Job was his wrath kindled, because he justified
himself rather than God.
32:3 또 세 친구에게 노를 발함은 그들이 능히 대답지는 못하여도 욥을 정죄함이라
32:3 And he was angry with his three friends, because they had been unable to give him
an answer, and had not made Job's sin clear.
32:3 Also against his three friends was his wrath kindled, because they had
found no answer, and yet had condemned Job.
32:4 엘리후가 그들의 나이 자기보다 많으므로 욥에게 말하기를 참고 있다가
32:4 Now Elihu had kept quiet while Job was talking, because they were older than he;
32:4 Now Elihu had waited till Job had spoken, because they were elder than
he.
32:5 세 사람의 입에 대답이 없음을 보고 노를 발하니라
32:5 And when Elihu saw that there was no answer in the mouth of the three men, he was
very angry.
32:5 When Elihu saw that there was no answer in the mouth of these three
men, then his wrath was kindled.
32:6 ○ 부스 사람 바라겔의 아들 엘리후가 발언하여 가로되 나는 연소하고 당신들은
연로하므로 참고 나의 의견을 감히 진술치 못하였노라
32:6 And Elihu, the son of Barachel the Buzite, made answer and said, I am young, and
you are very old, so I was in fear, and kept myself from putting my knowledge before
you.
32:6 And Elihu the son of Barachel the Buzite answered and said, I am young,
and all of you are very old; wherefore I was afraid, and durst not show you
mine opinion.
32:7 내가 말하기를 날이 많은 자가 말을 낼 것이요 해가 오랜 자가 지혜를 가르칠
것이라 하였으나
32:7 I said to myself, It is right for the old to say what is in their minds, and for
those who are far on in years to give out wisdom.
32:7 I said, Days should speak, and multitude of years should teach wisdom.
32:8 사람의 속에는 심령이 있고 전능자의 기운이 사람에게 총명을 주시나니
32:8 But truly it is the spirit in man, even the breath of the Ruler of all, which gives
them knowledge.
32:8 But there is a spirit in man: and the inspiration of the Almighty gives
them understanding.
32:9 대인이라고 지혜로운 것이 아니요 노인이라고 공의를 깨닫는 것이 아니라
32:9 It is not the old who are wise, and those who are full of years have not the knowledge
of what is right.
32:9 Great men are not always wise: neither do the aged understand judgment.
32:10 그러므로 내가 말하노니 내 말을 들으라 나도 내 의견을 보이리라
32:10 So I say, Give ear to me, and I will put forward my knowledge.
32:10 Therefore I said, Hearken to me; I also will show mine opinion.
32:11 ○ 내가 당신들의 말을 기다렸고 당신들이 할 말을 합당하도록 하여 보는
동안에 그 변론에 내 귀를 기울였더니
32:11 I was waiting for your words, I was giving ear to your wise sayings; while you were
searching out what to say,
32:11 Behold, I waited for your words; I gave ear to your reasons, whilst
all of you searched out what to say.
32:12 자세히 들은즉 당신들 가운데 욥을 꺾어 그 말을 대답하는 자가 없도다
32:12 I was taking note; and truly not one of you was able to make clear Job's error,
or to give an answer to his words.
32:12 Yea, I attended unto you, and, behold, there was none of you that convinced
Job, or that answered his words:
32:13 당신들이 혹시라도 말하기를 우리가 지혜를 깨달았었구나 그를 이길 자는
하나님이시요 사람이 아니라 하지 말지니라
32:13 Take care that you do not say, Wisdom is here; God may overcome him, but not man.
32:13 Lest all of you should say, We have found out wisdom: God thrusts him
down, not man.
32:14 그가 내게 말을 내지 아니하였으니 나도 당신들의 말처럼 그에게 대답지
아니하리라
32:14 I will not put forward words like these, or make use of your sayings in answer to
him.
32:14 Now he has not directed his words against me: neither will I answer
him with your speeches.
32:15 ○ 그들이 놀라서 다시 대답하지 못하니 할 말이 없음이로구나
32:15 Fear has overcome them, they have no more answers to give; they have come to an
end of words.
32:15 They were amazed, they answered no more: they left off speaking.
32:16 그들이 말이 없이 가만히 서서 다시 대답지 아니한즉 내가 어찌 더 기다리랴
32:16 And am I to go on waiting while they have nothing to say? while they keep quiet
and give no more answers?
32:16 When I had waited, (for they spoke not, but stood still, and answered
no more;)
32:17 나도 내 본분대로 대답하고 나도 내 의향을 보이리니
32:17 I will give my answer; I will put forward my knowledge:
32:17 I said, I will answer also my part, I also will show mine opinion.
32:18 내게 말이 가득하고 내 심령이 나를 강박함이니라
32:18 For I am full of words, I am unable to keep in my breath any longer:
32:18 For I am full of matter, the spirit within me constrains me.
32:19 보라 내 가슴은 봉한 포도주 같고 새 가죽 부대가 터지게 됨 같구나
32:19 My stomach is like wine which is unable to get out; like skins full of new wine,
it is almost burst.
32:19 Behold, my belly is as wine which has no vent; it is ready to burst
like new bottles.
32:20 내가 말을 발하여야 시원할 것이라 내 입을 열어 대답하리라
32:20 Let me say what is in my mind, so that I may get comfort; let me give answer with
open mouth.
32:20 I will speak, that I may be refreshed: I will open my lips and answer.
32:21 나는 결코 사람의 낯을 보지 아니하며 사람에게 아첨하지 아니하나니
32:21 Let me not give respect to any man, or give names of honour to any living.
32:21 Let me not, I pray you, accept any man's person, neither let me give
flattering titles unto man.
32:22 이는 아첨할 줄을 알지 못함이라 만일 그리하면 나를 지으신 자가 속히
나를 취하시리로다
32:22 For I am not able to give names of honour to any man; and if I did, my Maker would
quickly take me away.
32:22 For I know not to give flattering titles; in so doing my maker would
soon take me away.
