11:1 ³ª¾Æ¸¶ »ç¶÷ ¼Ò¹ßÀÌ ´ë´äÇÏ¿© °¡·ÎµÇ
11:1 Then Zophar the Naamathite made answer and said,
11:1 Then answered Zophar the Naamathite, and said,

11:2 ¸»ÀÌ ¸¹À¸´Ï ¾îÂî ´ë´äÀÌ ¾øÀ¸·ª ÀÔÀÌ ºÎǬ »ç¶÷ÀÌ ¾îÂî ÀÇ·Ó´Ù ÇÔÀ» ¾ò°Ú´À³Ä
11:2 Are all these words to go unanswered? and is a man seen to be right because he is full of talk?
11:2 Should not the multitude of words be answered? and should a man full of talk be justified?

11:3 ³× ÀÚ¶ûÇÏ´Â ¸»ÀÌ ¾î¶»°Ô »ç¶÷À¸·Î ÀáÀáÇÏ°Ô ÇÏ°ÚÀ¸¸ç ³×°¡ ºñ¿ôÀ¸¸é ¾îÂî ³Ê¸¦ ºÎ²ô·´°Ô ÇÒ »ç¶÷ÀÌ ¾ø°Ú´À³Ä
11:3 Are your words of pride to make men keep quiet? and are you to make sport, with no one to put you to shame?
11:3 Should your lies make men hold their peace? and when you mock, shall no man make you ashamed?

11:4 ³× ¸»ÀÌ ³» µµ´Â Á¤°áÇÏ°í ³ª´Â ÁÖÀÇ ¸ñÀü¿¡ ±ú²ýÇÏ´Ù Çϴ±¸³ª
11:4 You may say, My way is clean, and I am free from sin in your eyes.
11:4 For you have said, My doctrine is pure, and I am clean in yours eyes.

11:5 Çϳª´ÔÀº ¸»¾¸À» ³»½Ã¸ç ³Ê¸¦ ÇâÇÏ¿© ÀÔÀ» ¿©½Ã°í
11:5 But if only God would take up the word, opening his lips in argument with you;
11:5 But oh that God would speak, and open his lips against you;

11:6 ÁöÇýÀÇ ¿À¹¦·Î ³×°Ô º¸À̽ñ⸦ ¿øÇϳë´Ï ÀÌ´Â ±×ÀÇ Áö½ÄÀÌ ±¤´ëÇϽÉÀ̶ó ³Ê´Â ¾Ë¶ó Çϳª´ÔÀÇ ¹úÇϽÉÀÌ ³× Á˺¸´Ù °æÇϴ϶ó
11:6 And would make clear to you the secrets of wisdom, and the wonders of his purpose!
11:6 And that he would show you the secrets of wisdom, that they are double to that which is! Know therefore that God exacts of you less than yours iniquity deserves.

11:7 ¡Û ³×°¡ Çϳª´ÔÀÇ ¿À¹¦¸¦ ¾îÂî ´ÉÈ÷ Ãø·®Çϸç Àü´ÉÀÚ¸¦ ¾îÂî ´ÉÈ÷ ¿ÂÀüÈ÷ ¾Ë°Ú´À³Ä
11:7 Are you able to take God's measure, to make discovery of the limits of the Ruler of all?
11:7 Can you by searching find out God? can you find out the Almighty unto perfection?

11:8 Çϴú¸´Ù ³ôÀ¸½Ã´Ï ³×°¡ ¾îÂî ÇÏ°ÚÀ¸¸ç À½ºÎº¸´Ù ±íÀ¸½Ã´Ï ³×°¡ ¾îÂî ¾Ë°Ú´À³Ä
11:8 They are higher than heaven; what is there for you to do? deeper than the underworld, and outside your knowledge;
11:8 It is as high as heaven; what can you do? deeper than hell; what can you know?

11:9 ±× µµ·®Àº ¶¥º¸´Ù Å©°í ¹Ù´Ùº¸´Ù ³ÐÀ¸´Ï¶ó
11:9 Longer in measure than the earth, and wider than the sea.
11:9 The measure thereof is longer than the earth, and broader than the sea.

11:10 Çϳª´ÔÀÌ µÎ·ç ´Ù´Ï½Ã¸ç »ç¶÷À» Àâ¾Æ °¡µÎ½Ã°í °³Á¤ÇÏ½Ã¸é ´©°¡ ´ÉÈ÷ ¸·À»¼Ò³Ä
11:10 If he goes on his way, shutting a man up and putting him to death, who may make him go back from his purpose?
11:10 If he cut off, and shut up, or gather together, then who can hinder him?

11:11 Çϳª´ÔÀº Çã¸ÁÇÑ »ç¶÷À» ¾Æ½Ã³ª´Ï ¾ÇÇÑ ÀÏÀº »ó°üÄ¡ ¾ÊÀ¸½Ã´Â µíÇϳª ´Ù º¸½Ã´À´Ï¶ó
11:11 For in his eyes men are as nothing; he sees evil and takes note of it.
11:11 For he knows vain men: he sees wickedness also; will he not then consider it?

11:12 Çã¸ÁÇÑ »ç¶÷Àº Áö°¢ÀÌ ¾ø³ª´Ï ±× Ãâ»ýÇÔÀÌ µé³ª±Í »õ³¢ °°À¸´Ï¶ó
11:12 And so a hollow-minded man will get wisdom, when a young ass of the field gets teaching.
11:12 For vain men would be wise, though man be born like a wild ass's colt.

11:13 ¸¸ÀÏ ³×°¡ ¸¶À½À» ¹Ù·Î Á¤ÇÏ°í ÁÖ¸¦ ÇâÇÏ¿© ¼ÕÀ» µé ¶§¿¡
11:13 But if you put your heart right, stretching out your hands to him;
11:13 If you prepare yours heart, and stretch out yours hands toward him;

11:14 ³× ¼Õ¿¡ Á˾ÇÀÌ ÀÖ°Åµç ¸Ö¸® ¹ö¸®¶ó ºÒÀÇ·Î ³× À帷¿¡ °ÅÇÏÁö ¸øÇÏ°Ô Ç϶ó
11:14 If you put far away the evil of your hands, and let no wrongdoing have a place in your tent;
11:14 If iniquity be in yours hand, put it far away, and let not wickedness dwell in your tabernacles.

11:15 ±×¸®ÇÏ¸é ³×°¡ Á¤³ç Èì ¾ø´Â ¾ó±¼À» µé°Ô µÇ°í ±»°Ô ¼­¼­ µÎ·Á¿òÀÌ ¾øÀ¸¸®´Ï
11:15 Then truly your face will be lifted up, with no mark of sin, and you will be fixed in your place without fear:
11:15 For then shall you lift up your face without spot; yea, you shall be steadfast, and shall not fear:

11:16 °ð ³× ȯ³­À» ÀØÀ» °ÍÀ̶ó ³×°¡ Ãß¾ïÇÒÁö¶óµµ ¹°ÀÌ Èê·¯°¨ °°À» °ÍÀ̸ç
11:16 For your sorrow will go from your memory, like waters flowing away:
11:16 Because you shall forget your misery, and remember it as waters that pass away:

11:17 ³× »ý¸íÀÇ ³¯ÀÌ ´ë³·º¸´Ù ¹àÀ¸¸®´Ï ¾îµÎ¿òÀÌ ÀÖ´Ù ÇÒÁö¶óµµ ¾Æħ°ú °°ÀÌ µÉ °ÍÀÌ¿ä
11:17 And your life will be brighter than day; though it is dark, it will become like the morning.
11:17 And yours age shall be clearer than the noonday: you shall shine forth, you shall be as the morning.

11:18 ³×°¡ ¼Ò¸ÁÀÌ ÀÖÀ¸¹Ç·Î µçµçÇÒÁö¸ç µÎ·ç »ìÆ캸°í ¾ÈÀüÈ÷ ½¬¸®´Ï
11:18 And you will be safe because there is hope; after looking round, you will take your rest in quiet;
11:18 And you shall be secure, because there is hope; yea, you shall dig about you, and you shall take your rest in safety.

11:19 ³×°¡ ´©¿öµµ µÎ·Æ°Ô ÇÒ ÀÚ°¡ ¾ø°Ú°í ¸¹Àº »ç¶÷ÀÌ ³×°Ô ÷À» µå¸®¸®¶ó
11:19 Sleeping with no fear of danger; and men will be desiring to have grace in your eyes;
11:19 Also you shall lie down, and none shall make you afraid; yea, many shall make suit unto you.

11:20 ±×·¯³ª ¾ÇÇÑ ÀÚ´Â ´«ÀÌ ¾îµÎ¿ö¼­ µµ¸ÁÇÒ °÷À» ãÁö ¸øÇϸ®´Ï ±×ÀÇ ¼Ò¸ÁÀº ±â¿îÀÌ ²÷ħÀ̸®¶ó
11:20 But the eyes of the evil-doers will be wasting away; their way of flight is gone, and their only hope is the taking of their last breath.
11:20 But the eyes of the wicked shall fail, and they shall not escape, and their hope shall be as the giving up of the spirit.

12:1 ¿éÀÌ ´ë´äÇÏ¿© °¡·ÎµÇ
12:1 And Job made answer and said,
12:1 And Job answered and said,

12:2 ³ÊÈñ¸¸ ÂüÀ¸·Î »ç¶÷À̷α¸³ª ³ÊÈñ°¡ Á×À¸¸é ÁöÇýµµ Á×°Ú±¸³ª
12:2 No doubt you have knowledge, and wisdom will come to an end with you.
12:2 No doubt but all of you are the people, and wisdom shall die with you.

12:3 ³ªµµ ³ÊÈñ °°ÀÌ ÃѸíÀÌ ÀÖ¾î ³ÊÈñ¸¸ ¸øÇÏÁö ¾Æ´ÏÇÏ´Ï ±×°°Àº ÀÏÀ» ´©°¡ ¾ËÁö ¸øÇÏ°Ú´À³Ä
12:3 But I have a mind as well as you; I am equal to you: yes, who has not knowledge of such things as these?
12:3 But I have understanding as well as you; I am not inferior to you: yea, who knows not such things as these?

12:4 Çϳª´Ô²² ºÒ·¯ ¾Æ·Ú¾î µéÀ¸½ÉÀ» ÀÔÀº ³»°¡ ÀÌ¿ô¿¡°Ô ¿ôÀ½ ¹Þ´Â ÀÚ°¡ µÇ¾úÀ¸´Ï ÀÇ·Ó°í ¼øÀüÇÑ ÀÚ°¡ Á¶·Õ°Å¸®°¡ µÇ¾ú±¸³ª
12:4 It seems that I am to be as one who is a cause of laughing to his neighbour, one who makes his prayer to God and is answered! the upright man who has done no wrong is to be made sport of!
12:4 I am as one mocked of his neighbour, who calls upon God, and he answers him: the just upright man is laughed to scorn.

12:5 Æò¾ÈÇÑ ÀÚÀÇ ¸¶À½Àº Àç¾ÓÀ» ¸ê½ÃÇϳª Àç¾ÓÀÌ ½ÇÁ·ÇÏ´Â ÀÚ¸¦ ±â´Ù¸®´Â±¸³ª
12:5 In the thought of him who is in comfort there is no respect for one who is in trouble; such is the fate of those whose feet are slipping.
12:5 He that is ready to slip with his feet is as a lamp despised in the thought of him that is at ease.

12:6 °­µµÀÇ À帷Àº ÇüÅëÇÏ°í Çϳª´ÔÀ» Áø³ëÄÉ ÇÏ´Â ÀÚ°¡ Æò¾ÈÇÏ´Ï Çϳª´ÔÀÌ ±× ¼Õ¿¡ ÈÄÈ÷ ÁÖ½ÉÀ̴϶ó
12:6 There is wealth in the tents of those who make destruction, and those by whom God is moved to wrath are safe; even those whose god is their strength.
12:6 The tabernacles of robbers prosper, and they that provoke God are secure; into whose hand God brings abundantly.

12:7 ¡Û ÀÌÁ¦ ¸ðµç Áü½Â¿¡°Ô ¹°¾î º¸¶ó ±×°ÍµéÀÌ ³×°Ô °¡¸£Ä¡¸®¶ó °øÁßÀÇ »õ¿¡°Ô ¹°¾î º¸¶ó ±×°ÍµéÀÌ ¶ÇÇÑ ³×°Ô °íÇϸ®¶ó
12:7 But put now a question to the beasts, and get teaching from them; or to the birds of the heaven, and they will make it clear to you;
12:7 But ask now the beasts, and they shall teach you; and the fowls of the air, and they shall tell you:

12:8 ¶¥¿¡°Ô ¸»Ç϶ó ³×°Ô °¡¸£Ä¡¸®¶ó ¹Ù´ÙÀÇ °í±âµµ ³×°Ô ¼³¸íÇϸ®¶ó
12:8 Or to the things which go flat on the earth, and they will give you wisdom; and the fishes of the sea will give you news of it.
12:8 Or speak to the earth, and it shall teach you: and the fishes of the sea shall declare unto you.

12:9 À̰͵é Áß¿¡ ¾î´À °ÍÀÌ ¿©È£¿ÍÀÇ ¼ÕÀÌ À̸¦ ÇàÇϽŠÁÙÀ» ¾ËÁö ¸øÇÏ·ª
12:9 Who does not see by all these that the hand of the Lord has done this?
12:9 Who knows not in all these that the hand of the LORD has wrought this?

12:10 »ý¹°µéÀÇ È¥°ú ÀλýµéÀÇ ¿µÀÌ ´Ù ±×ÀÇ ¼Õ¿¡ ÀÖ´À´Ï¶ó
12:10 In whose hand is the soul of every living thing, and the breath of all flesh of man.
12:10 In whose hand is the soul of every living thing, and the breath of all mankind.

12:11 ÀÔÀÌ ½Ä¹°ÀÇ ¸ÀÀ» º¯º°ÇÔ °°ÀÌ ±Í°¡ ¸»À» ºÐº¯ÇÏÁö ¾Æ´ÏÇÏ´À³Ä
12:11 Are not words tested by the ear, even as food is tasted by the mouth?
12:11 Does not the ear try words? and the mouth taste his food?

12:12 ´ÄÀº ÀÚ¿¡°Ô´Â ÁöÇý°¡ ÀÖ°í Àå¼öÇÏ´Â ÀÚ¿¡°Ô´Â ¸íöÀÌ ÀÖ´À´Ï¶ó
12:12 Old men have wisdom, and a long life gives knowledge.
12:12 With the ancient is wisdom; and in length of days understanding.

12:13 ¡Û ÁöÇý¿Í ±Ç´ÉÀÌ Çϳª´Ô²² ÀÖ°í ¸ð·«°ú ¸íöµµ ±×¿¡°Ô ¼ÓÇÏ¿´³ª´Ï
12:13 With him there is wisdom and strength; power and knowledge are his.
12:13 With him is wisdom and strength, he has counsel and understanding.

12:14 ±×°¡ ÇæÀ¸½ÅÁï ´Ù½Ã ¼¼¿ï ¼ö ¾ø°í »ç¶÷À» °¡µÎ½ÅÁï ³õÀÌÁö ¸øÇÏ´À´Ï¶ó
12:14 Truly, there is no building up of what is pulled down by him; when a man is shut up by him, no one may let him loose.
12:14 Behold, he breaks down, and it cannot be built again: he shuts up a man, and there can be no opening.

12:15 ±×°¡ ¹°À» ±×Ä¡°Ô ÇϽÅÁï °ð ¸¶¸£°í ¹°À» ³»½ÅÁï °ð ¶¥À» µÚÁý³ª´Ï
12:15 Truly, he keeps back the waters and they are dry; he sends them out and the earth is overturned.
12:15 Behold, he withholds the waters, and they dry up: also he sends them out, and they overturn the earth.

12:16 ´É·Â°ú ÁöÇý°¡ ±×¿¡°Ô ÀÖ°í ¼ÓÀº ÀÚ¿Í ¼ÓÀÌ´Â ÀÚ°¡ ´Ù ±×¿¡°Ô ¼ÓÇÏ¿´À¸¹Ç·Î
12:16 With him are strength and wise designs; he who is guided into error, together with his guide, are in his hands;
12:16 With him is strength and wisdom: the deceived and the deceiver are his.

12:17 ¸ð»ç¸¦ ¹ú°Å¹þ°Ü ²ø¾î °¡½Ã¸ç ÀçÆÇÀåÀ¸·Î ¾î¸®¼®Àº ÀÚ°¡ µÇ°Ô ÇϽøç
12:17 He takes away the wisdom of the wise guides, and makes judges foolish;
12:17 He leads counsellors away spoiled, and makes the judges fools.

12:18 ¿­¿ÕÀÇ ¸Ç °ÍÀ» Ç®¾î ±×µéÀÇ Ç㸮¸¦ µ¿À̽øç
12:18 He undoes the chains of kings, and puts his band on them;
12:18 He looses the bond of kings, and girds their loins with a girdle.

12:19 Á¦»çÀåµéÀ» ¹ú°Å¹þ°Ü ²ø¾î °¡½Ã°í ±Ç·ÂÀÌ ÀÖ´Â ÀÚ¸¦ ³Ñ¾î¶ß¸®½Ã¸ç
12:19 He makes priests prisoners, overturning those in safe positions;
12:19 He leads princes away spoiled, and overthrows the mighty.

12:20 Ã漺µÈ ÀÚÀÇ ¸»À» ¾øÀÌÇÏ½Ã¸ç ´ÄÀº ÀÚÀÇ Áö½ÄÀ» »©¾ÑÀ¸½Ã¸ç
12:20 He makes the words of responsible persons without effect, and takes away the good sense of the old;
12:20 He removes away the speech of the trusty, and takes away the understanding of the aged.

12:21 ¹æ¹éµé¿¡°Ô ¸ê½Ã¸¦ ½ñÀ¸½Ã¸ç °­ÇÑ ÀÚÀÇ ¶ì¸¦ Ǫ½Ã¸ç
12:21 He puts shame on chiefs, and takes away the power of the strong;
12:21 He pours contempt upon princes, and weakens the strength of the mighty.

12:22 ¾îµÎ¿î °¡¿îµ¥¼­ Àº¹ÐÇÑ °ÍÀ» µå·¯³»½Ã¸ç Á×À½ÀÇ ±×´ÃÀ» ±¤¸íÇÑ µ¥·Î ³ª¿À°Ô ÇϽøç
12:22 Uncovering deep things out of the dark, and making the deep shade bright;
12:22 He discovers deep things out of darkness, and brings out to light the shadow of death.

12:23 ¸¸±¹À» Ä¿Áö°Ôµµ ÇÏ½Ã°í ´Ù½Ã ¸êÇϱ⵵ ÇÏ½Ã¸ç ¿­±¹À¸·Î ±¤´ëÇÏ°Ôµµ ÇÏ½Ã°í ´Ù½Ã »ç·ÎÀâÈ÷°Ôµµ ÇϽøç
12:23 Increasing nations, and sending destruction on them; making wide the lands of peoples, and then giving them up.
12:23 He increases the nations, and destroys them: he enlarges the nations, and straitens them again.

12:24 ¸¸¹ÎÀÇ µÎ¸ñµéÀÇ ÃѸíÀ» »©¾ÑÀ¸½Ã°í ±×µéÀ» ±æ ¾ø´Â °ÅÄ£ µé·Î À¯¸®ÇÏ°Ô ÇϽøç
12:24 He takes away the wisdom of the rulers of the earth, and sends them wandering in a waste where there is no way.
12:24 He takes away the heart of the chief of the people of the earth, and causes them to wander in a wilderness where there is no way.

12:25 ºû ¾øÀÌ Ä¯Ä¯ÇÑ µ¥¸¦ ´õµë°Ô ÇϽøç ÃëÇÑ »ç¶÷ °°ÀÌ ºñƲ°Å¸®°Ô ÇϽôÀ´Ï¶ó
12:25 They go feeling about in the dark without light, wandering without help like those overcome with wine.
12:25 They grope in the dark without light, and he makes them to stagger like a drunken man.

13:1 ³ªÀÇ ´«ÀÌ ÀÌ°ÍÀ» ´Ù º¸¾Ò°í ³ªÀÇ ±Í°¡ ÀÌ°ÍÀ» µè°í Åë´ÞÇÏ¿´´À´Ï¶ó
13:1 Truly, my eye has seen all this, word of it has come to my ear, and I have knowledge of it.
13:1 Lo, mine eye has seen all this, mine ear has heard and understood it.

13:2 ³ÊÈñ ¾Æ´Â °ÍÀ» ³ªµµ ¾Æ³ë´Ï ³ÊÈñ¸¸ ¸øÇÑ ³»°¡ ¾Æ´Ï´Ï¶ó
13:2 The same things are in my mind as in yours; I am equal to you.
13:2 What all of you know, the same do I know also: I am not inferior unto you.

13:3 ÂüÀ¸·Î ³ª´Â Àü´ÉÀÚ¿¡°Ô ¸»¾¸ÇÏ·Á Çϸç Çϳª´Ô°ú º¯·ÐÇÏ·Á Çϳë¶ó
13:3 But I would have talk with the Ruler of all, and my desire is to have an argument with God.
13:3 Surely I would speak to the Almighty, and I desire to reason with God.

13:4 ³ÊÈñ´Â °ÅÁþ¸»À» Áö¾î³»´Â ÀÚ¿ä ´Ù ¾µµ¥ ¾ø´Â ÀÇ¿øÀ̴϶ó
13:4 But you put a false face on things; all your attempts to put things right are of no value.
13:4 But all of you are forgers of lies, all of you are all physicians of no value.

13:5 ³ÊÈñ°¡ ÀáÀáÇÏ°í ÀáÀáÇϱ⸦ ¿øÇϳë¶ó ÀÌ°ÍÀÌ ³ÊÈñÀÇ ÁöÇýÀÏ °ÍÀ̴϶ó
13:5 If only you would keep quiet, it would be a sign of wisdom!
13:5 O that all of you would altogether hold your peace! and it should be your wisdom.

13:6 ³ÊÈñ´Â ³ªÀÇ º¯·ÐÀ» µéÀ¸¸ç ³» ÀÔ¼úÀÇ º¯¸íÀ» µé¾î º¸¶ó
13:6 Give ear to the argument of my mouth, and take note of the words of my lips.
13:6 Hear now my reasoning, and hearken to the pleadings of my lips.

13:7 ³ÊÈñ°¡ Çϳª´ÔÀ» À§ÇÏ¿© ºÒÀǸ¦ ¸»ÇÏ·Á´À³Ä ±×¸¦ À§ÇÏ¿© ±ËÈáÀ» ¸»ÇÏ·Á´À³Ä
13:7 Will you say in God's name what is not right, and put false words into his mouth?
13:7 Will all of you speak wickedly for God? and talk deceitfully for him?

13:8 ³ÊÈñ°¡ Çϳª´ÔÀÇ ³¸À» ÁÀÀ¸·Á´À³Ä ±×¸¦ À§ÇÏ¿© Àï·ÐÇÏ·Á´À³Ä
13:8 Will you have respect for God's person in this cause, and put yourselves forward as his supporters?
13:8 Will all of you accept his person? will all of you contend for God?

13:9 Çϳª´ÔÀÌ ³ÊÈñ¸¦ °¨ÂûÇϽøé ÁÁ°Ú´À³Ä ³ÊÈñ°¡ »ç¶÷À» ¼ÓÀÓ °°ÀÌ ±×¸¦ ¼ÓÀÌ·Á´À³Ä
13:9 Will it be good for you to be searched out by him, or have you the thought that he may be guided into error like a man?
13:9 Is it good that he should search you out? or as one man mocks another, do all of you so mock him?

13:10 ¡Û ¸¸ÀÏ °¡¸¸È÷ ³¸À» ÁÀÀ»Áø´ë ±×°¡ Á¤³ç ³ÊÈñ¸¦ Ã¥¸ÁÇϽø®´Ï
13:10 He will certainly put you right, if you have respect for persons in secret.
13:10 He will surely reprove you, if all of you do secretly accept persons.

13:11 ±× Á¸±Í°¡ ³ÊÈñ¸¦ µÎ·Æ°Ô ÇÏÁö ¾Ê°ÚÀ¸¸ç ±× À§¾öÀÌ ³ÊÈñ¿¡°Ô ÀÓÇÏÁö ¾Ê°Ú´À³Ä
13:11 Will not his glory put you in fear, so that your hearts will be overcome before him?
13:11 Shall not his excellency make you afraid? and his dread fall upon you?

14:1 As for man, the son of woman, his days are short and full of trouble.
14:1 Man that is born of a woman is of few days and full of trouble.

14:2 He comes out like a flower, and is cut down: he goes in flight like a shade, and is never seen again.
14:2 He comes forth like a flower, and is cut down: he flees also as a shadow, and continues not.

14:5 If his days are ordered, and you have knowledge of the number of his months, having given him a fixed limit past which he may not go;
14:5 Seeing his days are determined, the number of his months are with you, you have appointed his bounds that he cannot pass;

15:24 He is greatly in fear of the dark day, trouble and pain overcome him:
15:24 Trouble and anguish shall make him afraid; they shall prevail against him, as a king ready to the battle.

15:25 Because his hand is stretched out against God, and his heart is lifted up against the Ruler of all,
15:25 For he stretches out his hand against God, and strengthens himself against the Almighty.

15:26 Running against him like a man of war, covered by his thick breastplate; even like a king ready for the fight,
15:26 He runs upon him, even on his neck, upon the thick bosses of his bucklers:

15:27 Because his face is covered with fat, and his body has become thick;
15:27 Because he covers his face with his fatness, and makes fatness on his flanks.

15:28 And he has made his resting-place in the towns which have been pulled down, in houses where no man had a right to be, whose fate was to become masses of broken walls.
15:28 And he dwells in desolate cities, and in houses which no man inhabits, which are ready to become heaps.

15:33 He is like a vine whose grapes do not come to full growth, or an olive-tree dropping its flowers.
15:33 He shall shake off his unripe grape as the vine, and shall cast off his flower as the olive.

15:34 For the band of the evil-doers gives no fruit, and the tents of those who give wrong decisions for reward are burned with fire.
15:34 For the congregation of hypocrites shall be desolate, and fire shall consume the tabernacles of bribery.

16:2 Such things have frequently come to my ears: you are comforters who only give trouble.
16:2 I have heard many such things: miserable comforters are all of you all.

16:3 May words which are like the wind be stopped? or what is troubling you to make answer to them?
16:3 Shall vain words have an end? or what emboldens you that you answer?

16:4 It would not be hard for me to say such things if your souls were in my soul's place; joining words together against you, and shaking my head at you:
16:4 I also could speak as all of you do: if your soul were in my soul's position, I could heap up words against you, and shake mine head at you.

16:5 I might give you strength with my mouth, and not keep back the comfort of my lips.

16:12 I was in comfort, but I have been broken up by his hands; he has taken me by the neck, shaking me to bits; he has put me up as a mark for his arrows.

17:6 He has made me a word of shame to the peoples; I have become a mark for their sport.
17:6 He has made me also a byword of the people; and in old times I was as a timbrel.

17:15 Where then is my hope? and who will see my desire?

18:1 Then Bildad the Shuhite made answer and said,

18:2 How long will it be before you have done talking? Get wisdom, and then we will say what is in our minds.
18:2 How long will it be before all of you make an end of words? mark, and afterwards we will speak.

18:3 Why do we seem as beasts in your eyes, and as completely without knowledge?
18:3 Wherefore are we counted as beasts, and reputed vile in your sight?

18:4 But come back, now, come: you who are wounding yourself in your passion, will the earth be given up because of you, or a rock be moved out of its place?
18:4 He tears himself in his anger: shall the earth be forsaken for you? and shall the rock be removed out of his place?

18:5 For the light of the sinner is put out, and the flame of his fire is not shining.
18:5 Yea, the light of the wicked shall be put out, and the spark of his fire shall not shine.

18:6 The light is dark in his tent, and the light shining over him is put out.
18:6 The light shall be dark in his tabernacle, and his candle shall be put out with him.

18:7 The steps of his strength become short, and by his design destruction overtakes him.
18:7 The steps of his strength shall be straitened, and his own counsel shall cast him down.

18:8 His feet take him into the net, and he goes walking into the cords.

18:9 His foot is taken in the net; he comes into its grip.
18:9 The animal trap shall take him by the heel, and the robber shall prevail against him.

18:10 The twisted cord is put secretly in the earth to take him, and the cord is placed in his way.
18:10 The snare is laid for him in the ground, and a trap for him in the way.

18:11 ¹«¼­¿î °ÍÀÌ »ç¹æ¿¡¼­ ±×¸¦ ³î·¡°í ±× µÚ¸¦ ÂѾƿà °ÍÀ̸ç
18:11 He is overcome by fears on every side, they go after him at every step.
18:11 Terrors shall make him afraid on every side, and shall drive him to his feet.

18:12 ±× ÈûÀº ±â±ÙÀ» ÀÎÇÏ¿© ¼èÇÏ°í ±× °ç¿¡´Â Àç¾ÓÀÌ ±â´Ù¸± °ÍÀ̸ç
18:12 His strength is made feeble for need of food, and destruction is waiting for his falling footstep.
18:12 His strength shall be famished, and destruction shall be ready at his side.

18:13 ±×ÀÇ ¹éü°¡ ¸ÔÈ÷¸®´Ï °ð »ç¸ÁÀÇ ÀåÀÚ°¡ ±× Áöü¸¦ ¸ÔÀ» °ÍÀ̸ç
18:13 His skin is wasted by disease, and his body is food for the worst of diseases.
18:13 It shall devour the strength of his skin: even the firstborn of death shall devour his strength.

18:14 ±×°¡ ±× ÀÇ·ÚÇÏ´ø À帷¿¡¼­ »ÌÇô¼­ ¹«¼­¿òÀÇ ¿Õ¿¡°Ô·Î ÀâÇô°¡°í
18:14 He is pulled out of his tent where he was safe, and he is taken away to the king of fears.
18:14 His confidence shall be rooted out of his tabernacle, and it shall bring him to the king of terrors.

18:15 In his tent will be seen that which is not his, burning stone is dropped on his house.

18:17 His memory is gone from the earth, and in the open country there is no knowledge of his name.
18:17 His remembrance shall perish from the earth, and he shall have no name in the street.

18:19 He has no offspring or family among his people, and in his living-place there is no one of his name.

18:20 At his fate those of the west are shocked, and those of the east are overcome with fear.

19:2 How long will you make my life bitter, crushing me with words?
19:2 How long will all of you vex my soul, and break me in pieces with words?

19:3 ³ÊÈñ°¡ ¿­ ¹øÀ̳ª ³ª¸¦ ²Ù¢°í ³ª¸¦ ÇдëÇÏ°íµµ ºÎ²ô·¯¿ö ¾Æ´ÏÇϴ±¸³ª
19:3 Ten times now you have made sport of me; it gives you no sense of shame to do me wrong.
19:3 These ten times have all of you reproached me: all of you are not ashamed that all of you make yourselves strange to me.

19:5 If you make yourselves great against me, using my punishment as an argument against me,
19:5 If indeed all of you will magnify yourselves against me, and plead against me my reproach:

19:6 Be certain that it is God who has done me wrong, and has taken me in his net.

19:9 He has put off my glory from me, and taken the crown from my head.

19:10 I am broken down by him on every side, and I am gone; my hope is uprooted like a tree.
19:10 He has destroyed me on every side, and I am gone: and mine hope has he removed like a tree.

19:12 His armies come on together, they make their road high against me, and put up their tents round mine.

19:13 He has taken my brothers far away from me; they have seen my fate and have become strange to me.

20:8 He is gone like a dream, and is not seen again; he goes in flight like a vision of the night.
20:8 He shall fly away as a dream, and shall not be found: yea, he shall be chased away as a vision of the night.

20:10 His children are hoping that the poor will be kind to them, and his hands give back his wealth.
20:10 His children shall seek to please the poor, and his hands shall restore their goods.

20:11 His bones are full of young strength, but it will go down with him into the dust.
20:11 His bones are full of the sin of his youth, which shall lie down with him in the dust.

20:12 Though evil-doing is sweet in his mouth, and he keeps it secretly under his tongue;

20:13 Though he takes care of it, and does not let it go, but keeps it still in his mouth;
20:13 Though he spare it, and forsake it not; but keep it still within his mouth:

20:14 His food becomes bitter in his stomach; the poison of snakes is inside him.
20:14 Yet his food in his bowels is turned, it is the gall of asps within him.

20:15 He takes down wealth as food, and sends it up again; it is forced out of his stomach by God.
20:15 He has swallowed down riches, and he shall vomit them up again: God shall cast them out of his belly.

20:16 He takes the poison of snakes into his mouth, the tongue of the snake is the cause of his death.
20:16 He shall suck the poison of asps: the viper's tongue shall slay him.

20:17 Let him not see the rivers of oil, the streams of honey and milk.
20:17 He shall not see the rivers, the floods, the brooks of honey and butter.

20:18 He is forced to give back the fruit of his work, and may not take it for food; he has no joy in the profit of his trading.
20:18 That which he laboured for shall he restore, and shall not swallow it down: according to his substance shall the restitution be, and he shall not rejoice therein.

20:23 God gives him his desire, and sends the heat of his wrath on him, making it come down on him like rain.
20:23 When he is about to fill his belly, God shall cast the fury of his wrath upon him, and shall rain it upon him while he is eating.

20:24 He may go in flight from the iron spear, but the arrow from the bow of brass will go through him;
20:24 He shall flee from the iron weapon, and the bow of steel shall strike him through.

20:25 He is pulling it out, and it comes out of his back; and its shining point comes out of his side; he is overcome by fears.
20:25 It is drawn, and comes out of the body; yea, the glittering sword comes out of his gall: terrors are upon him.

20:28 The produce of his house is taken away into another country, like things given into the hands of others in the day of wrath.

20:29 This is the reward of the evil man, and the heritage given to him by God.
20:29 This is the portion of a wicked man from God, and the heritage appointed unto him by God.
