1:1 이는 모세가 요단 저편 숲 맞은편의 아라바 광야 곧 바란과 도벨과 라반과
하세롯과 디사합 사이에서 이스라엘 무리에게 선포한 말씀이니라
1:1 These are the words which Moses said to all Israel on the far side of Jordan, in
the waste land in the Arabah opposite Suph, between Paran on the one side, and Tophel,
Laban, Hazeroth, and Dizahab on the other.
1:1 These be the words which Moses spoke unto all Israel on this side Jordan
in the wilderness, in the plain opposite to the Red sea, between Paran, and
Tophel, and Laban, and Hazeroth, and Dizahab.
1:2 호렙 산에서 세일 산을 지나 가데스 바네아에까지 열 하룻길이었더라
1:2 It is eleven days' journey from Horeb by the way of Mount Seir to Kadesh-barnea.
1:2 (There are eleven days' journey from Horeb by the way of mount Seir unto
Kadeshbarnea.)
1:3 제 사십 년 십 일 월 그 달 초일 일에 모세가 이스라엘 자손에게 여호와께서 그들을
위하여 자기에게 주신 명령을 다 고하였으니
1:3 Now in the fortieth year, on the first day of the eleventh month, Moses gave to
the children of Israel all the orders which the Lord had given him for them;
1:3 And it came to pass in the fortieth year, in the eleventh month, on the
first day of the month, that Moses spoke unto the children of Israel, according
unto all that the LORD had given him in commandment unto them;
1:4 때는 모세가 헤스본에 거하는 아모리 왕 시혼을 쳐죽이고 에드레이에서 아스다롯에
거하는 바산 왕 옥을 쳐죽인 후라
1:4 After he had overcome Sihon, king of the Amorites, ruling in Heshbon, and Og, king
of Bashan, ruling in Ashtaroth, at Edrei:
1:4 After he had slain Sihon the king of the Amorites, which dwelt in Heshbon,
and Og the king of Bashan, which dwelt at Astaroth in Edrei:
1:5 모세가 요단 저편 모압 땅에서 이 율법 설명하기를 시작하였더라 일렀으되
1:5 On the far side of Jordan in the land of Moab, Moses gave the people this law, saying,
1:5 On this side Jordan, in the land of Moab, began Moses to declare this
law, saying,
1:6 우리 하나님 여호와께서 호렙 산에서 우리에게 말씀하여 이르시기를 너희가 이 산에 거한지 오래니
1:6 The Lord our God said to us in Horeb, You have been long enough in this mountain:
1:6 The LORD our God spoke unto us in Horeb, saying, All of you have dwelt
long enough in this mount:
1:7 방향을 돌려 진행하여 아모리 족속의 산지로 가고 그 근지 곳곳으로 가고
아라바와 산지와 평지와 남방과 해변과 가나안 족속의 땅과 레바논과 큰 강 유브라데까지
가라 하셨나니
1:7 Make a move now, and go on your way into the hill-country of the Amorites and the
places near it, in the Arabah and the hill-country and in the lowlands and in the
South and by the seaside, all the land of the Canaanites, and Lebanon, as far as
the great river, the river Euphrates.
1:7 Turn you, and take your journey, and go to the mount of the Amorites,
and unto all the places nigh thereunto, in the plain, in the hills, and in the
vale, and in the south, and by the sea side, to the land of the Canaanites,
and unto Lebanon, unto the great river, the river Euphrates.
1:8 여호와께서 너희의 열조 아브라함과 이삭과 야곱에게 맹세하사 그들과 그
후손에게 주리라 하신 땅이 너희 앞에 있으니 들어가서 얻을지니라
1:8 See, all the land is before you: go in and take for yourselves the land which the
Lord gave by an oath to your fathers, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and to their seed
after them.
1:8 Behold, I have set the land before you: go in and possess the land which
the LORD swore unto your fathers, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give unto them
and to their seed after them.
1:9 ○ 그때에 내가 너희에게 말하여 이르기를 나는 홀로 너희 짐을 질 수 없도다
1:9 At that time I said to you, I am not able to undertake the care of you by myself;
1:9 And I spoke unto you at that time, saying, I am not able to bear you
myself alone:
1:10 너희 하나님 여호와께서 너희를 번성케 하셨으므로 너희가 오늘날 하늘의
별 같이 많거니와
1:10 The Lord your God has given you increase, and now you are like the stars of heaven
in number.
1:10 The LORD your God has multiplied you, and, behold, all of you are this
day as the stars of heaven for multitude.
1:11 너희 열조의 하나님 여호와께서 너희를 현재보다 천 배나 많게 하시며 너희에게
허락하신 것과 같이 너희에게 복 주시기를 원하노라
1:11 May the Lord, the God of your fathers, make you a thousand times greater in number
than you are, and give you his blessing as he has said!
1:11 (The LORD God of your fathers make you a thousand times so many more
as all of you are, and bless you, as he has promised you!)
1:12 그런즉 나 홀로 어찌 능히 너희의 괴로운 것과 너희의 무거운 짐과 너희의
다툼을 담당할 수 있으랴
1:12 How is it possible for me by myself to be responsible for you, and undertake the
weight of all your troubles and your arguments?
1:12 How can I myself alone bear your cumbrance, and your burden, and your
strife?
1:13 너희의 각 지파에서 지혜와 지식이 있는 유명한 자를 택하라 내가 그들을
세워 너희 두령을 삼으리라 한즉
1:13 Take for yourselves men who are wise, far-seeing, and respected among you, from
your tribes, and I will make them rulers over you.
1:13 Take you wise men, and understanding, and known among your tribes, and
I will make them rulers over you.
1:14 너희가 대답하여 이르기를 당신의 말씀대로 하는 것이 좋다 하기에
1:14 And you made answer and said to me, It is good for us to do as you say.
1:14 And all of you answered me, and said, The thing which you have spoken
is good for us to do.
1:15 내가 너희 지파의 두령으로 지혜가 있는 유명한 자를 취하여 너희의 어른을
삼되 곧 각 지파를 따라 천부장과 백부장과 오십부장과 십부장과 패장을 삼고
1:15 So I took the heads of your tribes, wise men and respected, and made them rulers
over you, captains of thousands and captains of hundreds and captains of fifties
and captains of tens, and overseers of your tribes.
1:15 So I took the chief of your tribes, wise men, and known, and made them
heads over you, captains over thousands, and captains over hundreds, and captains
over fifties, and captains over tens, and officers among your tribes.
1:16 내가 그때에 너희 재판장들에게 명하여 이르기를 너희가 너희 형제 중에
송사를 들을 때에 양방간에 공정히 판결할 것이며 그들 중의 타국인에게도 그리할 것이라
1:16 And at that time I gave orders to your judges, saying, Let all questions between
your brothers come before you for hearing, and give decisions uprightly between
a man and his brother or one from another nation who is with him.
1:16 And I charged your judges at that time, saying, Hear the causes between
your brethren, and judge righteously between every man and his brother, and
the stranger that is with him.
1:17 재판은 하나님께 속한 것인즉 너희는 재판에 외모를 보지 말고 귀천을 일반으로
듣고 사람의 낯을 두려워 말 것이며 스스로 결단하기 어려운 일이거든 내게로 돌리라
내가 들으리라 하였고
1:17 In judging, do not let a man's position have any weight with you; give hearing equally
to small and great; have no fear of any man, for it is God who is judge: and any
cause in which you are not able to give a decision, you are to put before me and
I will give it a hearing.
1:17 All of you shall not respect persons in judgment; but all of you shall
hear the small as well as the great; all of you shall not be afraid of the face
of man; for the judgment is God's: and the cause that is too hard for you, bring
it unto me, and I will hear it.
1:18 내가 너희의 행할 모든 일을 그때에 너희에게 다 명하였느니라
1:18 And at that time I gave you all the orders which you were to do.
1:18 And I commanded you at that time all the things which all of you should
do.
1:19 ○ 우리 하나님 여호와께서 우리에게 명하신 대로 우리가 호렙 산에서 발행하여
너희의 본 바 크고 두려운 광야를 지나 아모리 족속 산지 길로 가데스 바네아에 이른
때에
1:19 Then we went on from Horeb, through all that great and cruel waste which you saw,
on our way to the hill-country of the Amorites, as the Lord gave us orders; and
we came to Kadesh-barnea.
1:19 And when we departed from Horeb, we went through all that great and
terrible wilderness, which all of you saw by the way of the mountain of the
Amorites, as the LORD our God commanded us; and we came to Kadeshbarnea.
1:20 내가 너희에게 이르기를 우리 하나님 여호와께서 우리에게 주신 아모리 족속의
산지에 너희가 이르렀나니
1:20 And I said to you, You have come to the hill-country of the Amorites, which the
Lord our God is giving us.
1:20 And I said unto you, All of you are come unto the mountain of the Amorites,
which the LORD our God does give unto us.
1:21 너희 하나님 여호와께서 이 땅을 너희 앞에 두셨은즉 너희 열조의 하나님
여호와께서 너희에게 이르신 대로 올라가서 얻으라 두려워 말라 주저하지 말라 한즉
1:21 See now, the Lord your God has put the land into your hands: go up and take it,
as the Lord, the God of your fathers, has said to you; have no fear and do not be
troubled.
1:21 Behold, the LORD your God has set the land before you: go up and possess
it, as the LORD God of your fathers has said unto you; fear not, neither be
discouraged.
1:22 너희가 다 내 앞으로 나아와 말하기를 우리가 사람을 우리 앞서 보내어 우리를
위하여 그 땅을 정탐하고 어느 길로 올라가야 할 것과 어느 성읍으로 들어가야 할
것을 우리에게 회보케 하자 하기에
1:22 And you came near to me, every one of you, and said, Let us send men before us to
go through the land with care and give us an account of the way we are to go and
the towns to which we will come.
1:22 And all of you came near unto me every one of you, and said, We will
send men before us, and they shall search us out the land, and bring us word
again by what way we must go up, and into what cities we shall come.
1:23 내가 그 말을 선히 여겨 너희 중에서 매 지파에 한 사람씩 열 둘을 택하매
1:23 And what you said seemed good to me, and I took twelve men from among you, one from
every tribe;
1:23 And the saying pleased me well: and I took twelve men of you, one of
a tribe:
1:24 그들이 앞으로 가서 산지에 올라 에스골 골짜기에 이르러 그 곳을 정탐하고
1:24 And they went up into the hill-country and came to the valley of Eshcol, and saw
what was there.
1:24 And they turned and went up into the mountain, and came unto the valley
of Eshcol, and searched it out.
1:25 그 땅의 과실을 손에 가지고 우리에게로 돌아와서 우리에게 회보하여 이르되
우리의 하나님 여호와께서 우리에게 주시는 땅이 좋더라 하였느니라
1:25 And taking in their hands some of the fruit of the land, they came down again to
us, and gave us their account, saying, It is a good land which the Lord our God
is giving us.
1:25 And they took of the fruit of the land in their hands, and brought it
down unto us, and brought us word again, and said, It is a good land which the
LORD our God does give us.
1:26 그러나 너희가 올라가기를 즐겨 아니하고 너희 하나님 여호와의 명을 거역하여
1:26 But going against the order of the Lord your God, you would not go up:
1:26 Notwithstanding all of you would not go up, but rebelled against the
commandment of the LORD your God:
1:27 장막 중에서 원망하여 이르기를 여호와께서 우리를 미워하시는 고로 아모리
족속의 손에 붙여 멸하시려고 우리를 애굽 땅에서 인도하여 내셨도다
1:27 And you made an angry outcry in your tents, and said, In his hate for us the Lord
has taken us out of the land of Egypt, to give us up into the hands of the Amorites
for our destruction.
1:27 And all of you murmured in your tents, and said, Because the LORD hated
us, he has brought us forth out of the land of Egypt, to deliver us into the
hand of the Amorites, to destroy us.
1:28 우리가 어디로 갈꼬 우리의 형제들이 우리로 낙심케 하여 말하기를 그 백성은
우리보다 장대하며 그 성읍은 크고 성곽은 하늘에 닿았으며 우리가 또 거기서 아낙
자손을 보았노라 하는도다 하기로
1:28 Where are we going up? Our brothers have made our hearts feeble with fear by saying,
The people are greater and taller than we are, and the towns are great and walled
up to heaven; and more than this, we have seen the sons of the Anakim there.
1:28 Where shall we go up? our brethren have discouraged our heart, saying,
The people is greater and taller than we; the cities are great and walled up
to heaven; and moreover we have seen the sons of the Anakims there.
1:29 내가 너희에게 말하기를 그들을 무서워 말라 두려워하지 말라
1:29 Then I said to you, Have no fear of them.
1:29 Then I said unto you, Dread not, neither be afraid of them.
1:30 너희 앞서 행하시는 너희 하나님 여호와께서 애굽에서 너희를 위하여 너희
목전에서 모든 일을 행하신 것 같이 이제도 너희를 위하여 싸우실 것이며
1:30 The Lord your God who goes before you will be fighting for you, and will do such
wonders as he did for you in Egypt before your eyes;
1:30 The LORD your God which goes before you, he shall fight for you, according
to all that he did for you in Egypt before your eyes;
1:31 광야에서도 너희가 당하였거니와 사람이 자기 아들을 안음 같이 너희 하나님
여호와께서 너희의 행로 중에 너희를 안으사 이곳까지 이르게 하셨느니라 하나
1:31 And in the waste land, where you have seen how the Lord was supporting you, as a
man does his son, in all your journeying till you came to this place.
1:31 And in the wilderness, where you have seen how that the LORD your God
bare you, as a man does bear his son, in all the way that all of you went, until
all of you came into this place.
1:32 이 일에 너희가 너희 하나님 여호와를 믿지 아니하였도다
1:32 But for all this, you had no faith in the Lord your God,
1:32 Yet in this thing all of you did not believe the LORD your God,
1:33 그는 너희 앞서 행하시며 장막 칠 곳을 찾으시고 밤에는 불로, 낮에는 구름으로
너희의 행할 길을 지시하신 자니라
1:33 Who goes before you on your way, looking for a place where you may put up your tents,
in fire by night, lighting up the way you are to go, and in a cloud by day.
1:33 Who went in the way before you, to search you out a place to pitch your
tents in, in fire by night, to show you by what way all of you should go, and
in a cloud by day.
1:34 ○ 여호와께서 너희의 말소리를 들으시고 노하사 맹세하여 가라사대
1:34 And the Lord, hearing your words, was angry, and said with an oath,
1:34 And the LORD heard the voice of your words, and was angry, and swore,
saying,
1:35 이 악한 세대 사람들 중에는 내가 그들의 열조에게 주기로 맹세한 좋은 땅을
볼 자가 하나도 없으리라
1:35 Truly, not one of this evil generation will see that good land which I said I would
give to your fathers,
1:35 Surely there shall not one of these men of this evil generation see
that good land, which I swore to give unto your fathers.
1:36 오직 여분네의 아들 갈렙은 온전히 여호와를 순종하였은즉 그는 그것을 볼 것이요
그가 밟은 땅을 내가 그와 그의 자손에게 주리라 하시고
1:36 But only Caleb, the son of Jephunneh, he will see it; and to him and to his children
I will give the land over which his feet have gone, because he has been true to
the Lord with all his heart.
1:36 Save Caleb the son of Jephunneh; he shall see it, and to him will I
give the land that he has trodden upon, and to his children, because he has
wholly followed the LORD.
1:37 여호와께서 너희의 연고로 내게도 진노하사 가라사대 너도 그리로 들어가지
못하리라
1:37 And, in addition, the Lord was angry with me because of you, saying, You yourself
will not go into it:
1:37 Also the LORD was angry with me for your sakes, saying, You also shall
not go in thither.
1:38 너의 종자 눈의 아들 여호수아는 그리로 들어갈 것이니 너는 그를 담대케
하라 그가 이스라엘에게 그 땅을 기업으로 얻게 하리라
1:38 Joshua, the son of Nun, your servant, he will go into the land: say to him that
he is to be strong, for he will be Israel's guide into their heritage.
1:38 But Joshua the son of Nun, which stands before you, he shall go in thither:
encourage him: for he shall cause Israel to inherit it.
1:39 또 너희가 사로잡히리라 하던 너희의 아이들과 당일에 선악을 분변치 못하던
너희 자녀들 그들은 그리로 들어갈 것이라 내가 그 땅을 그들에게 주어 산업이 되게
하리라
1:39 And your little ones, who, you said, would come into strange hands, your children,
who now have no knowledge of good or evil, they will go into that land, and to them
I will give it and it will be theirs.
1:39 Moreover your little ones, which all of you said should be a prey, and
your children, which in that day had no knowledge between good and evil, they
shall go in thither, and unto them will I give it, and they shall possess it.
1:40 너희는 회정하여 홍해 길로 하여 광야로 들어갈지니라 하시매
1:40 But as for you, go back, journeying into the waste land by the way of the Red Sea.
1:40 But as for you, turn you, and take your journey into the wilderness
by the way of the Red sea.
1:41 너희가 대답하여 내게 이르기를 우리가 여호와께 범죄하였사오니 우리 하나님께서
우리에게 명하신 대로 우리가 올라가서 싸우리이다 하고 너희가 각각 병기를 띠고
경솔히 산지로 올라가려 할 때에
1:41 Then you said to me, We have done evil against the Lord, we will go up to the attack,
as the Lord our God has given us orders. And arming yourselves every one, you made
ready to go up without care into the hill-country.
1:41 Then all of you answered and said unto me, We have sinned against the
LORD, we will go up and fight, according to all that the LORD our God commanded
us. And when all of you had girded on every man his weapons of war, all of you
were ready to go up into the hill.
1:42 여호와께서 내게 이르시되 너는 그들에게 이르기를 너희는 올라가지 말라
싸우지도 말라 내가 너희 중에 있지 아니하니 너희가 대적에게 패할까 하노라 하셨다
하라 하시기로
1:42 And the Lord said to me, Say to them, Do not go up to the attack; for I am not among
you, and you will be overcome by those who are against you.
1:42 And the LORD said unto me, Say unto them. Go not up, neither fight;
for I am not among you; lest all of you be smitten before your enemies.
1:43 내가 너희에게 고하였으나 너희가 듣지 아니하고 여호와의 명을 거역하고
천자히 산지로 올라가매
1:43 This I said to you, but you gave no attention and went against the orders of the
Lord, and in your pride went up into the hill-country.
1:43 So I spoke unto you; and all of you would not hear, but rebelled against
the commandment of the LORD, and went presumptuously up into the hill.
1:44 그 산지에 거하는 아모리 족속이 너희를 마주 나와서 벌떼같이 너희를 쫓아
세일 산에서 쳐서 호르마까지 미친지라
1:44 And the Amorites who were in the hill-country came out against you and put you to
flight, rushing after you like bees, and overcame you in Seir, driving you even
as far as Hormah.
1:44 And the Amorites, which dwelt in that mountain, came out against you,
and chased you, as bees do, and destroyed you in Seir, even unto Hormah.
1:45 너희가 돌아와서 여호와 앞에서 통곡하나 여호와께서 너희의 소리를 듣지
아니하시며 너희에게 귀를 기울이지 아니하셨으므로
1:45 And you came back, weeping before the Lord; but the Lord gave no attention to your
cries and did not give ear to you.
1:45 And all of you returned and wept before the LORD; but the LORD would
not hearken to your voice, nor give ear unto you.
1:46 너희가 가데스에 여러 날 동안 거하였었나니 곧 너희가 그 곳에 거하던 날 수대로니라
1:46 So you were kept waiting in Kadesh for a long time.
1:46 So all of you abode in Kadesh many days, according unto the days that
all of you abode there.
2:1 우리가 회정하여 여호와께서 내게 명하신 대로 홍해 길로 광야에 들어가서
여러 날 동안 세일 산을 두루 행하더니
2:1 Then we went back, journeying into the waste land by the way to the Red Sea, as
the Lord had said to me: and we were a long time going round Mount Seir.
2:1 Then we turned, and took our journey into the wilderness by the way of
the Red sea, as the LORD spoke unto me: and we compassed mount Seir many days.
2:2 여호와께서 내게 고하여 이르시되
2:2 And the Lord said to me,
2:2 And the LORD spoke unto me, saying,
2:3 너희가 이 산을 두루 행한 지 오래니 돌이켜 북으로 나아가라
2:3 You have been journeying round this mountain long enough: now go to the north;
2:3 All of you have compassed this mountain long enough: turn you northward.
2:4 너는 또 백성에게 명하여 이르기를 너희는 세일에 거하는 너희 동족 에서의
자손의 지경으로 지날진대 그들이 너희를 두려워하리니 너희는 깊이 스스로 삼가고
2:4 And give the people orders, saying, You are about to go through the land of your
brothers, the children of Esau, who are living in Seir; and they will have fear
of you; so take care what you do:
2:4 And command you the people, saying, All of you are to pass through the
coast of your brethren the children of Esau, which dwell in Seir; and they shall
be afraid of you: take all of you good heed unto yourselves therefore:
2:5 그들과 다투지 말라 그들의 땅은 한 발자국도 너희에게 주지 아니하리니 이는
내가 세일 산을 에서에게 기업으로 주었음이로라
2:5 Make no attack on them, for I will not give you any of their land, not even space
enough for a man's foot: because I have given Mount Seir to Esau for his heritage.
2:5 Meddle not with them; for I will not give you of their land, no, not
so much as a foot breadth; because I have given mount Seir unto Esau for a possession.
2:6 너희는 돈으로 그들에게서 양식을 사서 먹으며 돈으로 그들에게서 물을 사서
마시라
2:6 You may get food for your needs from them for a price, and water for drinking.
2:6 All of you shall buy food of them for money, that all of you may eat;
and all of you shall also buy water of them for money, that all of you may drink.
2:7 네 하나님 여호와가 너의 하는 모든 일에 네게 복을 주고 네가 이 큰 광야에
두루 행함을 알고 네 하나님 여호와가 이 사십 년 동안을 너와 함께 하였으므로 네게
부족함이 없었느니라 하셨다 하라 하시기로
2:7 For the blessing of the Lord your God has been on you in all the work of your hands:
he has knowledge of your wanderings through this great waste: these forty years
the Lord your God has been with you, and you have been short of nothing.
2:7 For the LORD your God has blessed you in all the works of your hand:
he knows your walking through this great wilderness: these forty years the LORD
your God has been with you; you have lacked nothing.
2:8 우리가 세일 산에 거하는 우리 동족 에서의 자손을 떠나서 아라바를 지나며
엘랏과 에시온 게벨 곁으로 지나 행하고 돌이켜 모압 광야 길로 진행할 때에
2:8 So we went on past our brothers, the children of Esau, living in Seir, by the road
through the Arabah, from Elath and Ezion-geber. And turning, we went by the road
through the waste land of Moab.
2:8 And when we passed by from our brethren the children of Esau, which dwelt
in Seir, through the way of the plain from Elath, and from Eziongaber, we turned
and passed by the way of the wilderness of Moab.
2:9 여호와께서 내게 이르시되 모압을 괴롭게 말라 그와 싸우지도 말라 그 땅을
내가 네게 기업으로 주지 아니하리니 이는 내가 롯 자손에게 아르를 기업으로 주었음이로라
2:9 And the Lord said to me, Make no attack on Moab and do not go to war with them,
for I will not give you any of his land: because I have given Ar to the children
of Lot for their heritage.
2:9 And the LORD said unto me, Distress not the Moabites, neither contend
with them in battle: for I will not give you of their land for a possession;
because I have given Ar unto the children of Lot for a possession.
2:10 {옛적에 엠 사람이 거기 거하여 강하고 많고 아낙 족속과 같이 키가 크므로
2:10 (In the past the Emim were living there; a great people, equal in numbers to the
Anakim and as tall;
2:10 The Emims dwelt therein in times past, a people great, and many, and
tall, as the Anakims;
2:11 그들을 아낙 족속과 같이 르바임이라 칭하였으나 모압 사람은 그들을 에밈이라
칭하였으며
2:11 They are numbered among the Rephaim, like the Anakim; but are named Emim by the
Moabites.
2:11 Which also were accounted giants, as the Anakims; but the Moabites called
them Emims.
2:12 호리 사람도 세일에 거하였더니 에서의 자손이 그들을 멸하고 대신하여 그
땅에 거하였으니 이스라엘이 여호와의 주신 기업의 땅에서 행한 것과 일반이었느니라}
2:12 And the Horites in earlier times were living in Seir, but the children of Esau took
their place; they sent destruction on them and took their land for themselves, as
Israel did to the land of his heritage which the Lord gave them.)
2:12 The Horims also dwelt in Seir in time past; but the children of Esau
succeeded them, when they had destroyed them from before them, and dwelt in
their position; as Israel did unto the land of his possession, which the LORD
gave unto them.
2:13 이제 너희는 일어나서 세렛 시내를 건너가라 하시기로 우리가 세렛 시내를

2:13 Get up now, and go over the stream Zered. So we went over the stream Zered.
2:13 Now rise up, said I, and get you over the brook Zered. And we went over
the brook Zered.
2:14 가데스 바네아에서 떠나 세렛 시내를 건너기까지 삼십 팔 년 동안이라 이
때에는 그 시대의 모든 군인들이 여호와께서 그들에게 맹세하신 대로 진 중에서 다
멸절되었나니
2:14 Thirty-eight years had gone by from the time when we came away from Kadesh-barnea
till we went over the stream Zered; by that time all the generation of the men of
war among us were dead, as the Lord had said.
2:14 And the space in which we came from Kadeshbarnea, until we were come
over the brook Zered, was thirty and eight years; until all the generation of
the men of war were wasted out from among the host, as the LORD swore unto them.
2:15 여호와께서 손으로 그들을 치사 진 중에서 멸하신 고로 필경은 다 멸절되었느니라
2:15 For the hand of the Lord was against them, working their destruction, till all were
dead.
2:15 For indeed the hand of the LORD was against them, to destroy them from
among the host, until they were consumed.
2:16 ○ 모든 군인이 사망하여 백성 중에서 진멸된 후에
2:16 So when death had overtaken all the men of war among the people,
2:16 So it came to pass, when all the men of war were consumed and dead from
among the people,
2:17 여호와께서 내게 일러 가라사대
2:17 The word of the Lord came to me, saying,
2:17 That the LORD spoke unto me, saying,
2:18 네가 오늘 모압 변경 아르를 지나리니
2:18 You are about to go by Ar, the limit of the country of Moab;
2:18 You are to pass over through Ar, the coast of Moab, this day:
2:19 암몬 족속에게 가까이 이르거든 그들을 괴롭게 말라 그들과 다투지도 말라
암몬 족속의 땅은 내가 네게 기업으로 주지 아니하리니 이는 내가 그것을 롯 자손에게
기업으로 주었음이로라
2:19 And when you come near the land of the children of Ammon, give them no cause of
trouble and do not make war on them, for I will not give you any of the land of
the children of Ammon for your heritage: because I have given it to the children
of Lot.
2:19 And when you come nigh opposite to the children of Ammon, distress them
not, nor meddle with them: for I will not give you of the land of the children
of Ammon any possession; because I have given it unto the children of Lot for
a possession.
2:20 {이곳도 르바임의 땅이라 하였었나니 전에 르바임이 거기 거하였었음이요
암몬 족속은 그들을 삼숨밈이라 일컬었었으며
2:20 (That land is said to have been a land of the Rephaim, for Rephaim had been living
there in earlier times, but they were named Zamzummim by the Ammonites;
2:20 (That also was accounted a land of giants: giants dwelt therein in old
time; and the Ammonites call them Zamzummims;
2:21 그 백성은 강하고 많고 아낙 족속과 같이 키가 크나 여호와께서 암몬 족속
앞에서 그들을 멸하셨으므로 암몬 족속이 대신하여 그 땅에 거하였으니
2:21 They were a great people, tall as the Anakim, and equal to them in number; but the
Lord sent destruction on them and the children of Ammon took their place, living
in their land;
2:21 A people great, and many, and tall, as the Anakims; but the LORD destroyed
them before them; and they succeeded them, and dwelt in their position:
2:22 마치 세일에 거한 에서 자손 앞에 호리 사람을 멸하심과 일반이라 그들이
호리 사람을 쫓아내고 대신하여 오늘까지 거기 거하였으며
2:22 As he did for the children of Esau living in Seir, when he sent destruction on the
Horites before them, and they took their land where they are living to this day:
2:22 As he did to the children of Esau, which dwelt in Seir, when he destroyed
the Horims from before them; and they succeeded them, and dwelt in their position
even unto this day:
2:23 또 갑돌에서 나온 갑돌 사람이 가사까지 각 촌에 거하는 아위 사람을 멸하고
그들을 대신하여 거기 거하였었느니라}
2:23 And the Avvim, living in the small towns as far as Gaza, came to destruction by
the hands of the Caphtorim who came out from Caphtor and took their land.)
2:23 And the Avims which dwelt in Hazerim, even unto Azzah, the Caphtorims,
which came forth out of Caphtor, destroyed them, and dwelt in their position.)
2:24 너희는 일어나 진행하여 아르논 골짜기를 건너라 내가 헤스본 왕 아모리
사람 시혼과 그 땅을 네 손에 붙였은즉 비로소 더불어 싸워서 그 땅을 얻으라
2:24 Get up now, and go on your journey, crossing over the valley of the Arnon: see,
I have given into your hands Sihon, the Amorite, king of Heshbon, and all his land:
go forward to make it yours, and make war on him,
2:24 Rise all of you up, take your journey, and pass over the river Arnon:
behold, I have given into yours hand Sihon the Amorite, king of Heshbon, and
his land: begin to possess it, and contend with him in battle.
2:25 오늘부터 내가 천하 만민으로 너를 무서워하며 너를 두려워하게 하리니 그들이
네 명성을 듣고 떨며 너로 인하여 근심하리라 하셨느니라
2:25 From now on I will put the fear of you in all peoples under heaven, who, hearing
of you, will be shaking with fear and grief of heart because of you.
2:25 This day will I begin to put the dread of you and the fear of you upon
the nations that are under the whole heaven, who shall hear report of you, and
shall tremble, and be in anguish because of you.
2:26 ○ 내가 그데못 광야에서 헤스본 왕 시혼에게 사자를 보내어 평화의 말로
이르기를
2:26 Then from the waste land of Kedemoth I sent representatives to Sihon, king of Heshbon,
with words of peace, saying,
2:26 And I sent messengers out of the wilderness of Kedemoth unto Sihon king
of Heshbon with words of peace, saying,
2:27 나를 네 땅으로 통과하게 하라 내가 대로로만 행하고 좌로나 우로나 치우치지
아니하리라
2:27 Let me go through your land: I will keep to the highway, not turning to the right
or to the left;
2:27 Let me pass through your land: I will go along by the high way, I will
neither turn unto the right hand nor to the left.
2:28 너는 돈을 받고 양식을 팔아 나로 먹게 하고 돈을 받고 물을 주어 나로 마시게
하라 나는 도보로 지날 뿐인즉
2:28 Let me have food, at a price, for my needs, and water for drinking: only let me
go through on foot;
2:28 You shall sell me food for money, that I may eat; and give me water
for money, that I may drink: only I will pass through on my feet;
2:29 세일에 거하는 에서 자손과 아르에 거하는 모압 사람이 내게 행한 것 같이
하라 그리하면 내가 요단을 건너서 우리 하나님 여호와께서 우리에게 주시는 땅에
이르리라 하나
2:29 As the children of Esau did for me in Seir and the Moabites in Ar; till I have gone
over Jordan into the land which the Lord our God is giving us.
2:29 (As the children of Esau which dwell in Seir, and the Moabites which
dwell in Ar, did unto me;) until I shall pass over Jordan into the land which
the LORD our God gives us.
2:30 헤스본 왕 시혼이 우리의 통과하기를 허락지 아니하였으니 이는 너의 하나님
여호와께서 그를 네 손에 붙이시려고 그 성품을 완강케 하셨고 그 마음을 강퍅케
하셨음이라 오늘날과 같으니라
2:30 But Sihon, king of Heshbon, would not let us go through; for the Lord your God made
his spirit hard and his heart strong, so that he might give him up into your hands
as at this day.
2:30 But Sihon king of Heshbon would not let us pass by him: for the LORD
your God hardened his spirit, and made his heart obstinate, that he might deliver
him into your hand, as appears this day.
2:31 때에 여호와께서 내게 이르시되 내가 비로소 시혼과 그 땅을 네게 붙이노니
너는 이제부터 그 땅을 얻어서 기업을 삼으라 하시더니
2:31 And the Lord said to me, See, from now on I have given Sihon and his land into your
hands: go forward now to take his land and make it yours.
2:31 And the LORD said unto me, Behold, I have begun to give Sihon and his
land before you: begin to possess, that you may inherit his land.
2:32 시혼이 그 모든 백성을 거느리고 나와서 우리를 대적하여 야하스에서 싸울
때에
2:32 Then Sihon came out against us with all his people, to make an attack on us at Jahaz.
2:32 Then Sihon came out against us, he and all his people, to fight at Jahaz.
2:33 우리 하나님 여호와께서 그를 우리에게 붙이시매 우리가 그와 그 아들들과
그 모든 백성을 쳤고
2:33 And the Lord our God gave him into our hands; and we overcame him and his sons and
all his people.
2:33 And the LORD our God delivered him before us; and we stroke him, and
his sons, and all his people.
2:34 그때에 우리가 그 모든 성읍을 취하고 그 각 성읍을 그 남녀와 유아와 함께
하나도 남기지 아니하고 진멸하였고
2:34 At that time we took all his towns, and gave them over to complete destruction,
together with men, women, and children; we had no mercy on any:
2:34 And we took all his cities at that time, and utterly destroyed the men,
and the women, and the little ones, of every city, we left none to remain:
2:35 오직 그 육축과 성읍에서 탈취한 것은 우리의 소유로 삼았으며
2:35 Only the cattle we took for ourselves, with the goods from the towns we had taken.
2:35 Only the cattle we took for a prey unto ourselves, and the spoil of
the cities which we took.
2:36 우리 하나님 여호와께서 그 모든 땅을 우리에게 붙이심으로 아르논 골짜기
가에 있는 아로엘과 골짜기 가운데 있는 성읍으로부터 길르앗에까지 우리가 모든
높은 성읍을 취하지 못한 것이 하나도 없었으나
2:36 From Aroer on the edge of the valley of the Arnon and from the town in the valley
as far as Gilead, no town was strong enough to keep us out; the Lord our God gave
them all into our hands:
2:36 From Aroer, which is by the brink of the river of Arnon, and from the
city that is by the river, even unto Gilead, there was not one city too strong
for us: the LORD our God delivered all unto us:
2:37 오직 암몬 족속의 땅 얍복 강 가와 산지에 있는 성읍들과 무릇 우리 하나님
여호와께서 우리의 가기를 금하신 곳은 네가 가까이 하지 못하였느니라
2:37 But you did not go near the land of the children of Ammon, that is, all the side
of the river Jabbok or the towns of the hill-country, wherever the Lord our God
had said we were not to go.
2:37 Only unto the land of the children of Ammon you came not, nor unto any
place of the river Jabbok, nor unto the cities in the mountains, nor unto whatsoever
the LORD our God forbad us.
3:1 우리가 돌이켜 바산으로 올라가매 바산 왕 옥이 그 모든 백성을 거느리고
나와서 우리를 대적하여 에드레이에서 싸우는지라
3:1 Then turning we took the road to Bashan: and Og, king of Bashan, came out against
us with all his people, and made an attack on us at Edrei.
3:1 Then we turned, and went up the way to Bashan: and Og the king of Bashan
came out against us, he and all his people, to battle at Edrei.
3:2 여호와께서 내게 이르시되 그를 두려워 말라 내가 그와 그 모든 백성과 그
땅을 네 손에 붙였으니 네가 헤스본에 거하던 아모리 족속의 왕 시혼에게 행한 것과
같이 그에게 행할 것이니라 하시고
3:2 And the Lord said to me, Have no fear of him: for I have given him and all his people
and his land into your hands; do to him as you did to Sihon, king of the Amorites,
who was ruling in Heshbon.
3:2 And the LORD said unto me, Fear him not: for I will deliver him, and
all his people, and his land, into your hand; and you shall do unto him as you
did unto Sihon king of the Amorites, which dwelt at Heshbon.
3:3 우리 하나님 여호와께서 바산 왕 옥과 그 모든 백성을 우리 손에 붙이시매
우리가 그들을 쳐서 한 사람도 남기지 아니하였느니라
3:3 So the Lord our God gave up Og, king of Bashan, and all his people into our hands;
and we overcame him so completely that all his people came to their end in the fight.
3:3 So the LORD our God delivered into our hands Og also, the king of Bashan,
and all his people: and we stroke him until none was left to him remaining.
3:4 그때에 우리가 그들에게서 빼앗지 아니한 성읍이 하나도 없이 다 빼앗았는데
그 성읍이 육십이니 곧 아르곱 온 지방이요 바산에 있는 옥의 나라이라
3:4 At that time we took all his towns; there was not one town of the sixty towns, all
the country of Argob, the kingdom of Og in Bashan, which we did not take.
3:4 And we took all his cities at that time, there was not a city which we
took not from them, threescore cities, all the region of Argob, the kingdom
of Og in Bashan.
3:5 그 모든 성읍에 높은 성벽이 둘려 있고 문과 빗장이 있어 견고하며 그 외에
성벽 없는 고을이 심히 많았느니라
3:5 All these towns had high walls round them with doors and locks; and in addition
we took a great number of unwalled towns.
3:5 All these cities were fenced with high walls, gates, and bars; beside
towns without protective walls a great many.
3:6 우리가 헤스본 왕 시혼에게 행한 것과 같이 그 성읍들을 진멸하되 각 성읍의
남녀와 유아를 진멸하였으나
3:6 And we put them to the curse, every town together with men, women, and children.
3:6 And we utterly destroyed them, as we did unto Sihon king of Heshbon,
utterly destroying the men, women, and children, of every city.
3:7 오직 모든 육축과 그 성읍들에서 탈취한 것은 우리의 소유로 삼았으며
3:7 But we took for ourselves all the cattle and the stored wealth of the towns.
3:7 But all the cattle, and the spoil of the cities, we took for a prey to
ourselves.
3:8 그때에 우리가 요단 강 이편 땅을 아르논 골짜기에서부터 헤르몬 산에까지
아모리 족속의 두 왕에게서 취하였으니
3:8 At that time we took their land from the two kings of the Amorites on the far side
of Jordan, from the valley of the Arnon to Mount Hermon;
3:8 And we took at that time out of the hand of the two kings of the Amorites
the land that was on this side Jordan, from the river of Arnon unto mount Hermon;
3:9 {헤르몬 산을 시돈 사람은 시룐이라 칭하고 아모리 족속은 스닐이라 칭하였느니라}
3:9 (By the Sidonians, Hermon is named Sirion, and by the Amorites Shenir;)
3:9 (Which Hermon the Sidonians call Sirion; and the Amorites call it Shenir;)
3:10 우리의 취한 것은 평원의 모든 성읍과 길르앗 온 땅과 바산의 온 땅 곧 옥의
나라 바산의 성읍 살르가와 에드레이까지니라
3:10 All the towns of the table-land and all Gilead and Bashan as far as Salecah and
Edrei, towns of the kingdom of Og in Bashan.
3:10 All the cities of the plain, and all Gilead, and all Bashan, unto Salchah
and Edrei, cities of the kingdom of Og in Bashan.
3:11 {르바임 족속의 남은 자는 바산 왕 옥 뿐이었으며 그의 침상은 철 침상이라
지금 오히려 암몬 족속의 랍바에 있지 아니하냐 그것을 사람의 보통 규빗으로 재면
그 장이 아홉 규빗이요 광이 네 규빗이니라}
3:11 (For Og, king of Bashan, was the last of all the Rephaim; his bed was made of iron;
is it not in Rabbah, in the land of the children of Ammon? It was nine cubits long
and four cubits wide, measured by the common cubit.)
3:11 For only Og king of Bashan remained of the remnant of giants; behold
his bedstead was a bedstead of iron; is it not in Rabbath of the children of
Ammon? nine cubits was the length thereof, and four cubits the breadth of it,
after the cubit of a man.
3:12 ○ 그때에 우리가 이 땅을 얻으매 아르논 골짜기 곁에 아로엘에서부터
길르앗 산지 절반과 그 성읍들을 내가 르우벤 자손과 갓 자손에게 주었고
3:12 And this land which we took at that time, from Aroer by the valley of the Arnon,
and half the hill-country of Gilead with its towns, I gave to the Reubenites and
the Gadites.
3:12 And this land, which we possessed at that time, from Aroer, which is
by the river Arnon, and half mount Gilead, and the cities thereof, gave I unto
the Reubenites and to the Gadites.
3:13 길르앗의 남은 땅과 옥의 나라이었던 아르곱 온 지방 곧 온 바산으로는
내가 므낫세 반 지파에게 주었노라 {바산을 옛 적에는 르바임의 땅이라 칭하더니
3:13 The rest of Gilead and all Bashan, the kingdom of Og, all the land of Argob, together
with Bashan, I gave to the half-tribe of Manasseh. (This land is named the land
of the Rephaim.
3:13 And the rest of Gilead, and all Bashan, being the kingdom of Og, gave
I unto the half tribe of Manasseh; all the region of Argob, with all Bashan,
which was called the land of giants.
3:14 므낫세의 아들 야일이 그술 족속과 마아갓 족속의 경계까지의 아르곱 온
지방을 취하고 자기의 이름으로 이 바산을 하봇야일이라 칭하여 오늘까지 이르느니라}
3:14 Jair, the son of Manasseh, took all the land of Argob, as far as the country of
the Geshurites and the Maacathites, naming it, Bashan, Havvoth-Jair after himself,
as it is to this day.)
3:14 Jair the son of Manasseh took all the country of Argob unto the coasts
of Geshuri and Maachathi; and called them after his own name, Bashanhavothjair,
unto this day.
3:15 내가 마길에게 길르앗을 주었고
3:15 And Gilead I gave to Machir.
3:15 And I gave Gilead unto Machir.
3:16 르우벤 자손과 갓 자손에게는 길르앗에서부터 아르논 골짜기까지 주었으되
그 골짜기의 중앙으로 지경을 정하였으니 곧 암몬 자손의 지경 얍복 강까지며
3:16 And the land from Gilead to the valley of the Arnon, with the middle of the valley
as a limit, as far as the river Jabbok which is the limit of the country of the
children of Ammon, I gave to the Reubenites and the Gadites;
3:16 And unto the Reubenites and unto the Gadites I gave from Gilead even
unto the river Arnon half the valley, and the border even unto the river Jabbok,
which is the border of the children of Ammon;
3:17 또는 아라바와 요단과 그 가요 긴네렛에서 아라바 바다 곧 염해와 비스가
산록에 이르기까지의 동편 지경이니라
3:17 As well as the Arabah, with the river Jordan as their limit, from Chinnereth to
the Salt Sea, under the slopes of Pisgah to the east.
3:17 The plain also, and Jordan, and the coast thereof, from Chinnereth even
unto the sea of the plain, even the salt sea, under Ashdothpisgah eastward.
3:18 ○ 그때에 내가 이 땅을 받은 너희에게 명하여 이르기를 너희의 하나님
여호와께서 이 땅을 너희에게 주어 기업이 되게 하셨은즉 너희 군인들은 무장하고
너희의 형제 이스라엘 자손의 선봉이 되어 건너가되
3:18 At that time I gave you orders, saying, The Lord has given you this land for your
heritage: all the men of war are to go over armed before your brothers the children
of Israel.
3:18 And I commanded you at that time, saying, The LORD your God has given
you this land to possess it: all of you shall pass over armed before your brethren
the children of Israel, all that are meet for the war.
3:19 너희에게 육축이 많은 줄 내가 아노니 너희의 처자와 육축은 내가 너희에게
준 성읍에 머무르라
3:19 But your wives and your little ones and your cattle (for it is clear that you have
much cattle) may go on living in the towns I have given you;
3:19 But your wives, and your little ones, and your cattle, (for I know that
all of you have much cattle,) shall abide in your cities which I have given
you;
3:20 여호와께서 너희에게 주신 것 같이 너희 형제에게도 안식을 주시리니 그들도
요단 저편에서 너희 하나님 여호와의 주시는 땅을 얻어 기업을 삼기에 이르거든 너희는
각기 내가 준 기업으로 돌아갈 것이니라 하고
3:20 Till the Lord has given rest to your brothers as to you, and till they have taken
for themselves the land which the Lord your God is giving them on the other side
of Jordan: then you may go back, every man of you, to the heritage which I have
given you.
3:20 Until the LORD have given rest unto your brethren, as well as unto you,
and until they also possess the land which the LORD your God has given them
beyond Jordan: and then shall all of you return every man unto his possession,
which I have given you.
3:21 그때에 내가 여호수아에게 명하여 이르기를 너희 하나님 여호와께서 이
두 왕에게 행하신 모든 일을 네가 목도하였거니와 네가 가는 모든 나라에도 여호와께서
이와 같이 행하시리니
3:21 And I gave orders to Joshua at that time, saying, Your eyes have seen what the Lord
your God has done to these two kings: so will the Lord do to all the kingdoms into
which you come.
3:21 And I commanded Joshua at that time, saying, Yours eyes have seen all
that the LORD your God has done unto these two kings: so shall the LORD do unto
all the kingdoms where you pass.
3:22 너희는 그들을 두려워하지 말라 너희 하나님 여호와 그가 너희를 위하여
싸우시리라 하였노라
3:22 Have no fear of them, for the Lord your God will be fighting for you.
3:22 All of you shall not fear them: for the LORD your God he shall fight
for you.
3:23 ○ 그때에 내가 여호와께 간구하기를
3:23 And at that time I made request to the Lord, saying,
3:23 And I besought the LORD at that time, saying,
3:24 주 여호와여 주께서 주의 크심과 주의 권능을 주의 종에게 나타내시기를
시작하였사오니 천지간에 무슨 신이 능히 주의 행하신 일 곧 주의 큰 능력으로 행하신
일 같이 행할 수 있으리이까
3:24 O Lord God, you have now for the first time let your servant see your great power
and the strength of your hand; for what god is there in heaven or on earth able
to do such great works and such acts of power?
3:24 O Lord GOD, you have begun to show your servant your greatness, and
your mighty hand: for what God is there in heaven or in earth, that can do according
to your works, and according to your might?
3:25 구하옵나니 나로 건너가게 하사 요단 저편에 있는 아름다운 땅 아름다운
산과 레바논을 보게 하옵소서 하되
3:25 Let me go over, O Lord, and see the good land on the other side of Jordan, and that
fair mountain country, even Lebanon.
3:25 I pray you, let me go over, and see the good land that is beyond Jordan,
that goodly mountain, and Lebanon.
3:26 여호와께서 너희의 연고로 내게 진노하사 내 말을 듣지 아니하시고 내게
이르시기를 그만해도 족하니 이 일로 다시 내게 말하지 말라
3:26 But the Lord was angry with me because of you and would not give ear to my prayer;
and the Lord said to me, Let it be enough, say no more about this thing.
3:26 But the LORD was angry with me for your sakes, and would not hear me:
and the LORD said unto me, Let it suffice you; speak no more unto me of this
matter.
3:27 너는 비스가 산 꼭대기에 올라가서 눈을 들어 동서 남북을 바라고 네 눈으로
그 땅을 보라 네가 이 요단을 건너지 못할 것임이니라
3:27 Go up to the top of Pisgah, and turning your eyes to the west and the north, to
the south and the east, see the land with your eyes: for you are not to go over
Jordan.
3:27 Get you up into the top of Pisgah, and lift up yours eyes westward,
and northward, and southward, and eastward, and behold it with yours eyes: for
you shall not go over this Jordan.
3:28 너는 여호수아에게 명하고 그를 담대케 하며 그를 강경케 하라 그는 이 백성을
거느리고 건너가서 네가 볼 땅을 그들로 기업으로 얻게 하리라 하셨느니라
3:28 But give my orders to Joshua, comforting him and making him strong; for he is to
go over Jordan at the head of this people, and he will give them this land which
you will see for their heritage.
3:28 But charge Joshua, and encourage him, and strengthen him: for he shall
go over before this people, and he shall cause them to inherit the land which
you shall see.
3:29 그때에 우리가 벧브올 맞은편 골짜기에 거하였었느니라
3:29 So we were waiting in the valley facing Beth-peor.
3:29 So we abode in the valley opposite to Bethpeor.
4:1 이스라엘아 이제 내가 너희에게 가르치는 규례와 법도를 듣고 준행하라 그리하면
너희가 살 것이요 너희의 열조의 하나님 여호와께서 너희에게 주시는 땅에 들어가서
그것을 얻게 되리라
4:1 And now give ear, O Israel, to the laws and the decisions which I am teaching you,
and do them; so that life may be yours, and you may go in and take for yourselves
the land which the Lord, the God of your fathers, is giving you.
4:1 Now therefore hearken, O Israel, unto the statutes and unto the judgments,
which I teach you, in order to do them, that all of you may live, and go in
and possess the land which the LORD God of your fathers gives you.
4:2 내가 너희에게 명하는 말을 너희는 가감하지 말고 내가 너희에게 명하는 너희
하나님 여호와의 명령을 지키라
4:2 Make no addition to the orders which I give you, and take nothing from them, but
keep the orders of the Lord your God which I give you.
4:2 All of you shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall
all of you diminish ought from it, that all of you may keep the commandments
of the LORD your God which I command you.
4:3 여호와께서 바알브올의 일을 인하여 행하신 바를 너희가 목도하였거니와 바알브올을
좇은 모든 사람을 너의 하나님 여호와께서 너의 중에서 진멸하셨으되
4:3 Your eyes have seen what the Lord did because of Baal-peor: for destruction came
from the Lord on all those among you who went after Baal-peor.
4:3 Your eyes have seen what the LORD did because of Baalpeor: for all the
men that followed Baalpeor, the LORD your God has destroyed them from among
you.
4:4 오직 너희의 하나님 여호와께 붙어 떠나지 않은 너희는 오늘까지 다 생존하였느니라
4:4 But you who kept faith with the Lord are living, every one of you, today.
4:4 But all of you that did cleave unto the LORD your God are alive every
one of you this day.
4:5 내가 나의 하나님 여호와의 명하신 대로 규례와 법도를 너희에게 가르쳤나니
이는 너희로 들어가서 기업으로 얻을 땅에서 그대로 행하게 하려 함인즉
4:5 I have been teaching you laws and decisions, as I was ordered to do by the Lord
my God, so that you might keep them in the land to which you are going to take it
for your heritage.
4:5 Behold, I have taught you statutes and judgments, even as the LORD my
God commanded me, that all of you should do so in the land where all of you
go to possess it.
4:6 너희는 지켜 행하라 그리함은 열국 앞에 너희의 지혜요 너희의 지식이라 그들이
이 모든 규례를 듣고 이르기를 이 큰 나라 사람은 과연 지혜와 지식이 있는 백성이로다
하리라
4:6 So keep these laws and do them; for so will your wisdom and good sense be clear
in the eyes of the peoples, who hearing all these laws will say, Truly, this great
nation is a wise and far-seeing people.
4:6 Keep therefore and do them; for this is your wisdom and your understanding
in the sight of the nations, which shall hear all these statutes, and say, Surely
this great nation is a wise and understanding people.
4:7 우리 하나님 여호와께서 우리가 그에게 기도할 때마다 우리에게 가까이 하심과
같이 그 신의 가까이 함을 얻은 나라가 어디 있느냐
4:7 For what great nation has a god so near to them as the Lord our God is, whenever
we are turned to him in prayer?
4:7 For what nation is there so great, who has God so nigh unto them, as
the LORD our God is in all things that we call upon him for?
4:8 오늘 내가 너희에게 선포하는 이 율법과 같이 그 규례와 법도가 공의로운
큰 나라가 어디 있느냐
4:8 And what great nation has laws and decisions so right as all this law which I put
before you today?
4:8 And what nation is there so great, that has statutes and judgments so
righteous as all this law, which I set before you this day?
4:9 ○ 오직 너는 스스로 삼가며 네 마음을 힘써 지키라 두렵건대 네가 그 목도한
일을 잊어버릴까 하노라 두렵건대 네 생존하는 날 동안에 그 일들이 네 마음에서
떠날까 하노라 너는 그 일들을 네 아들들과 네 손자들에게 알게 하라
4:9 Only take care, and keep watch on your soul, for fear that the things which your
eyes have seen go from your memory and from your heart all the days of your life;
but let the knowledge of them be given to your children and to your children's children;
4:9 Only take heed to yourself, and keep your soul diligently, lest you forget
the things which yours eyes have seen, and lest they depart from your heart
all the days of your life: but teach them your sons, and your sons' sons;
4:10 네가 호렙 산에서 네 하나님 여호와 앞에 섰던 날에 여호와께서 내게 이르시기를
나를 위하여 백성을 모으라 내가 그들에게 내 말을 들려서 그들로 세상에 사는 날
동안 나 경외함을 배우게 하며 그 자녀에게 가르치게 하려 하노라 하시매
4:10 That day when you were waiting before the Lord your God in Horeb, and the Lord said
to me, Make all the people come together, so that hearing my words they may go in
fear of me all the days of their life on earth and give this teaching to their children.
4:10 Specially the day that you stood before the LORD your God in Horeb,
when the LORD said unto me, Gather me the people together, and I will make them
hear my words, that they may learn to fear me all the days that they shall live
upon the earth, and that they may teach their children.
4:11 너희가 가까이 나아와서 산 아래 서니 그 산에 불이 붙어 화염이 충천하고
유암과 구름과 흑암이 덮였는데
4:11 And you came near, waiting at the foot of the mountain; and flames of fire went
up from the mountain to the heart of heaven, with dark clouds, and all was black
as night.
4:11 And all of you came near and stood under the mountain; and the mountain
burned with fire unto the midst of heaven, with darkness, clouds, and thick
darkness.
4:12 여호와께서 화염 중에서 너희에게 말씀하시되 음성 뿐이므로 너희가 그 말소리만
듣고 형상은 보지 못하였느니라
4:12 And the voice of the Lord came to you out of the fire: the sound of his words came
to your ears but you saw no form; there was nothing but a voice.
4:12 And the LORD spoke unto you out of the midst of the fire: all of you
heard the voice of the words, but saw no embodiment; only all of you heard a
voice.
4:13 여호와께서 그 언약을 너희에게 반포하시고 너희로 지키라 명하셨으니 곧
십계명이며 두 돌판에 친히 쓰신 것이라
4:13 And he gave you his agreement with you, the ten rules which you were to keep, which
he put in writing on the two stones of the law.
4:13 And he declared unto you his covenant, which he commanded you to perform,
even ten commandments; and he wrote them upon two tables of stone.
4:14 그때에 여호와께서 내게 명하사 너희에게 규례와 법도를 교훈하게 하셨나니
이는 너희로 건너가서 얻을 땅에서 행하게 하려 하심이니라
4:14 And the Lord gave me orders at that time to make clear to you these laws and decisions,
so that you might do them in the land to which you are going, and which is to be
your heritage.
4:14 And the LORD commanded me at that time to teach you statutes and judgments,
that all of you might do them in the land where all of you go over to possess
it.
4:15 ○ 여호와께서 호렙 산 화염 중에서 너희에게 말씀하시던 날에 너희가 아무
형상도 보지 못하였은즉 너희는 깊이 삼가라
4:15 So keep watch on yourselves with care; for you saw no form of any sort on the day
when the voice of the Lord came to you in Horeb out of the heart of the fire:
4:15 Take all of you therefore good heed unto yourselves; for all of you
saw no manner of embodiment on the day that the LORD spoke unto you in Horeb
out of the midst of the fire:
4:16 두렵건대 스스로 부패하여 자기를 위하여 아무 형상대로든지 우상을 새겨
만들되 남자의 형상이라든지, 여자의 형상이라든지,
4:16 So that you may not be turned to evil ways and make for yourselves an image in the
form of any living thing, male or female,
4:16 Lest all of you corrupt yourselves, and make you a graven image, the
embodiment of any figure, the likeness of male or female,
4:17 땅 위에 있는 아무 짐승의 형상이라든지, 하늘에 나는 아무 새의 형상이라든지,
4:17 Or any beast of the earth, or winged bird of the air,
4:17 The likeness of any beast that is on the earth, the likeness of any
winged fowl that flies in the air,
4:18 땅 위에 기는 아무 곤충의 형상이라든지, 땅 아래 물 속에 있는 아무 어족의
형상이라든지 만들까 하노라
4:18 Or of anything which goes flat on the earth, or any fish in the water under the
earth.
4:18 The likeness of any thing that creeps on the ground, the likeness of
any fish that is in the waters beneath the earth:
4:19 또 두렵건대 네가 하늘을 향하여 눈을 들어 일월 성신 하늘 위의 군중 곧
너희 하나님 여호와께서 천하 만민을 위하여 분정하신 것을 보고 미혹하여 그것에
경배하며 섬길까 하노라
4:19 And when your eyes are lifted up to heaven, and you see the sun and the moon and
the stars, all the army of heaven, do not let yourselves be moved to give them worship,
or become the servants of what the Lord has given equally to all peoples under heaven.
4:19 And lest you lift up yours eyes unto heaven, and when you see the sun,
and the moon, and the stars, even all the host of heaven, should be driven to
worship them, and serve them, which the LORD your God has divided unto all nations
under the whole heaven.
4:20 여호와께서 너희를 택하시고 너희를 쇠풀무 곧 애굽에서 인도하여 내사 자기
기업의 백성을 삼으신 것이 오늘과 같아도
4:20 But the Lord has taken you out of the flaming fire, out of Egypt, to be to him the
people of his heritage, as you are today.
4:20 But the LORD has taken you, and brought you forth out of the iron furnace,
even out of Egypt, to be unto him a people of inheritance, as all of you are
this day.
4:21 여호와께서 너희로 인하여 내게 진노하사 나로 요단을 건너지 못하며 네
하나님 여호와께서 네게 기업으로 주신 그 아름다운 땅에 들어가지 못하게 하리라고
맹세하셨은즉
4:21 And the Lord was angry with me because of you, and made an oath that I was not to
go over Jordan into the good land which the Lord is giving you for your heritage:
4:21 Furthermore the LORD was angry with me for your sakes, and swore that
I should not go over Jordan, and that I should not go in unto that good land,
which the LORD your God gives you for an inheritance:
4:22 나는 이 땅에서 죽고 요단을 건너지 못하려니와 너희는 건너가서 그 아름다운
땅을 얻으리니
4:22 But death is to come to me in this land, I may not go over Jordan: but you will
go over and take that good land for your heritage.
4:22 But I must die in this land, I must not go over Jordan: but all of you
shall go over, and possess that good land.
4:23 너희는 스스로 삼가서 너희 하나님 여호와께서 너희와 세우신 언약을 잊어버려서
네 하나님 여호와께서 금하신 아무 형상의 우상이든지 조각하지 말라
4:23 Take care that you do not let the agreement of the Lord your God, which he has made
with you, go out of your mind, or make for yourselves images of any sort, against
the orders which the Lord your God has given you.
4:23 Take heed unto yourselves, lest all of you forget the covenant of the
LORD your God, which he made with you, and make you a graven image, or the likeness
of any thing, which the LORD your God has forbidden you.
4:24 네 하나님 여호와는 소멸하는 불이시요 질투하는 하나님이시니라
4:24 For the Lord your God is an all-burning fire, and he will not let the honour which
is his be given to any other.
4:24 For the LORD your God is a consuming fire, even a jealous God.
4:25 ○ 네가 그 땅에서 아들을 낳고 손자를 얻으며 오래 살 때에 만일 스스로
부패하여 무슨 형상의 우상이든지 조각하여 네 하나님 여호와 앞에 악을 행함으로
그의 노를 격발하면
4:25 If, when you have had children and children's children, and have been living a long
time in the land, you are turned to evil ways, and make an image of any sort, and
do evil in the eyes of the Lord your God, moving him to wrath:
4:25 When you shall brought forth children, and children's children, and
all of you shall have remained long in the land, and shall corrupt yourselves,
and make a graven image, or the likeness of any thing, and shall do evil in
the sight of the LORD your God, to provoke him to anger:
4:26 내가 오늘날 천지를 불러 증거를 삼노니 너희가 요단을 건너가서 얻는 땅에서
속히 망할 것이라 너희가 거기서 너희 날이 길지 못하고 전멸될 것이니라
4:26 May heaven and earth be my witnesses against you today, that destruction will quickly
overtake you, cutting you off from that land which you are going over Jordan to
take; your days will not be long in that land, but you will come to a complete end.
4:26 I call heaven and earth to witness against you this day, that all of
you shall soon utterly perish from off the land unto which all of you go over
Jordan to possess it; all of you shall not prolong your days upon it, but shall
utterly be destroyed.
4:27 여호와께서 너희를 열국 중에 흩으실 것이요 여호와께서 너희를 쫓아보내실
그 열국 중에 너희의 남은 수가 많지 못할 것이며
4:27 And the Lord will send you wandering among the peoples; only a small band of you
will be kept from death among the nations where the Lord will send you.
4:27 And the LORD shall scatter you among the nations, and all of you shall
be left few in number among the heathen, where the LORD shall lead you.
4:28 너희는 거기서 사람의 손으로 만든 바 보지도 못하며 듣지도 못하며 먹지도
못하며 냄새도 맡지 못하는 목석의 신들을 섬기리라
4:28 There you will be the servants of gods, made by men's hands, of wood and stone,
having no power of seeing or hearing or taking food or smelling.
4:28 And there all of you shall serve gods, the work of men's hands, wood
and stone, which neither see, nor hear, nor eat, nor smell.
4:29 그러나 네가 거기서 네 하나님 여호와를 구하게 되리니 만일 마음을 다하고
성품을 다하여 그를 구하면 만나리라
4:29 But if in those lands you are turned again to the Lord your God, searching for him
with all your heart and soul, he will not keep himself from you.
4:29 But if from thence you shall seek the LORD your God, you shall find
him, if you seek him with all your heart and with all your soul.
4:30 이 모든 일이 네게 임하여 환난을 당하다가 끝 날에 네가 네 하나님 여호와께로
돌아와서 그 말씀을 청종하리니
4:30 When you are in trouble and all these things have come on you, if, in the future,
you are turned again to the Lord your God, and give ear to his voice:
4:30 When you are in tribulation, and all these things are come upon you,
even in the latter days, if you turn to the LORD your God, and shall be obedient
unto his voice;
4:31 네 하나님 여호와는 자비하신 하나님이심이라 그가 너를 버리지 아니하시며
너를 멸하지 아니하시며 네 열조에게 맹세하신 언약을 잊지 아니하시리라
4:31 Because the Lord your God is a God of mercy, he will not take away his help from
you or let destruction overtake you, or be false to the agreement which he made
by an oath with your fathers.
4:31 (For the LORD your God is a merciful God;) he will not forsake you,
neither destroy you, nor forget the covenant of your fathers which he swore
unto them.
4:32 ○ 네가 있기 전 하나님이 사람을 세상에 창조하신 날부터 지금까지 지나간
날을 상고하여 보라 하늘 이 끝에서 저 끝까지 이런 큰 일이 있었느냐 이런 일을
들은 적이 있었느냐
4:32 Give thought now to the days which are past, before your time, from the day when
God first gave life to man on the earth, and searching from one end of heaven to
the other, see if such a great thing as this has ever been, or if anything like
it has been talked of in story.
4:32 For ask now of the days that are past, which were before you, since
the day that God created man upon the earth, and ask from the one side of heaven
unto the other, whether there has been any such thing as this great thing is,
or has been heard like it?
4:33 어떤 국민이 불 가운데서 말씀하시는 하나님의 음성을 너처럼 듣고 생존하였었느냐
4:33 Has any people ever gone on living after hearing the voice of God out of the heart
of the fire as you did?
4:33 Did ever people hear the voice of God speaking out of the midst of the
fire, as you have heard, and live?
4:34 어떤 신이 와서 시험과 이적과 기사와 전쟁과 강한 손과 편 팔과 크게 두려운
일로 한 민족을 다른 민족에게서 인도하여 낸 일이 있느냐 이는 다 너희 하나님 여호와께서
애굽에서 너희를 위하여 너희의 목전에서 행하신 일이라
4:34 Has God ever before taken a nation for himself from out of another nation, by punishments
and signs and wonders, by war and by a strong hand and a stretched-out arm and great
acts of wonder and fear, as the Lord your God did for you in Egypt, before your
very eyes?
4:34 Or has God assayed to go and take him a nation from the midst of another
nation, by temptations, by signs, and by wonders, and by war, and by a mighty
hand, and by a stretched out arm, and by great terrors, according to all that
the LORD your God did for you in Egypt before your eyes?
4:35 이것을 네게 나타내심은 여호와는 하나님이시요 그 외에는 다른 신이 없음을
네게 알게 하려 하심이니라
4:35 All this he let you see, so that you might be certain that the Lord is God and there
is no other.
4:35 Unto you it was showed, that you might know that the LORD he is God;
there is none else beside him.
4:36 여호와께서 너를 교훈하시려고 하늘에서부터 그 음성을 너로 듣게 하시며
땅에서는 그 큰 불을 네게 보이시고 너로 불 가운데서 나오는 그 말씀을 듣게 하셨느니라
4:36 Out of heaven itself his voice came to you, teaching you; and on earth he let you
see his great fire; and his words came to your ears out of the heart of the fire.
4:36 Out of heaven he made you to hear his voice, that he might instruct
you: and upon earth he showed you his great fire; and you heard his words out
of the midst of the fire.
4:37 여호와께서 네 열조를 사랑하신 고로 그 후손 너를 택하시고 큰 권능으로
친히 인도하여 애굽에서 나오게 하시며
4:37 And because of his love for your fathers, he took their seed and made it his, and
he himself, present among you, took you out of Egypt by his great power;
4:37 And because he loved your fathers, therefore he chose their seed after
them, and brought you out in his sight with his mighty power out of Egypt;
4:38 너보다 강대한 열국을 네 앞에서 쫓아내고 너를 그들의 땅으로 인도하여
들여서 그것을 네게 기업으로 주려 하심이 오늘날과 같으니라
4:38 Driving out before you nations greater and stronger than you, to take you into their
land and give it to you for your heritage, as at this day.
4:38 To drive out nations from before you greater and mightier than you are,
to bring you in, to give you their land for an inheritance, as it is this day.
4:39 그런즉 너는 오늘날 상천하지에 오직 여호와는 하나님이시요 다른 신이 없는
줄을 알아 명심하고
4:39 So today be certain, and keep the knowledge deep in your hearts, that the Lord is
God, in heaven on high and here on earth; there is no other God.
4:39 Know therefore this day, and consider it in yours heart, that the LORD
he is God in heaven above, and upon the earth beneath: there is none else.
4:40 오늘 내가 네게 명하는 여호와의 규례와 명령을 지키라 너와 네 후손이 복을
받아 네 하나님 여호와께서 네게 주시는 땅에서 한 없이 오래 살리라
4:40 Then keep his laws and his orders which I give you today, so that it may be well
for you and for your children after you, and that your lives may be long in the
land which the Lord your God is giving you for ever.
4:40 You shall keep therefore his statutes, and his commandments, which I
command you this day, that it may go well with you, and with your children after
you, and that you may prolong your days upon the earth, which the LORD your
God gives you, for ever.
4:41 ○ 때에 모세가 요단 이편 해 돋는 편에서 세 성읍을 구별하였으니
4:41 Then Moses had three towns marked out on the far side of Jordan looking to the east;
4:41 Then Moses severed three cities on this side Jordan toward the sunrising;
4:42 이는 과거에 원혐이 없이 부지중에 오살한 자로 그 곳으로 도피케 하기 위함이며
그 한 성읍으로 도피한 자로 그 생명을 보존케 하기 위함이라
4:42 To which anyone causing the death of his neighbour in error and not through hate,
might go in flight; so that in one of these towns he might be kept from death:
4:42 That the slayer might flee thither, which should kill his neighbour
unexpectedly, and hated him not in times past; and that fleeing unto one of
these cities he might live:
4:43 하나는 광야 평원에 있는 베셀이라 르우벤 지파를 위한 것이요 하나는 길르앗
라못이라 갓 지파를 위한 것이요 하나는 바산 골란이라 므낫세 지파를 위한 것이었더라
4:43 The names of the towns were Bezer in the waste land, in the table-land, for the
Reubenites; and Ramoth in Gilead for the Gadites; and Golan in Bashan for Manasseh.
4:43 Namely, Bezer in the wilderness, in the plain country, of the Reubenites;
and Ramoth in Gilead, of the Gadites; and Golan in Bashan, of the Manassites.
4:44 ○ 모세가 이스라엘 자손에게 선포한 율법이 이러하니라
4:44 This is the law which Moses put before the children of Israel:
4:44 And this is the law which Moses set before the children of Israel:
4:45 이스라엘 자손이 애굽에서 나온 후에 증거하신 것과 규례와 법도를 모세가
선포하였으니
4:45 These are the rules and the laws and the decisions which Moses gave to the children
of Israel after they came out of Egypt;
4:45 These are the testimonies, and the statutes, and the judgments, which
Moses spoke unto the children of Israel, after they came forth out of Egypt.
4:46 요단 동편 벧브올 맞은편 골짜기에서라 이 땅은 헤스본에 거하는 아모리
족속의 왕 시혼에게 속하였더니 모세와 이스라엘 자손이 애굽에서 나온 후에 그를
쳐서 멸하고
4:46 On the far side of Jordan, in the valley facing Beth-peor, in the land of Sihon,
king of the Amorites, who was ruling in Heshbon, whom Moses and the children of
Israel overcame after they had come out of Egypt:
4:46 On this side Jordan, in the valley opposite to Bethpeor, in the land
of Sihon king of the Amorites, who dwelt at Heshbon, whom Moses and the children
of Israel stroke, after they were come forth out of Egypt:
4:47 그 땅을 기업으로 얻었고 또 바산 왕 옥의 땅을 얻었으니 그 두 사람은 아모리
족속의 왕으로서 요단 이편 해 돋는 편에 거하였었으며
4:47 And they took his land for a heritage, and the land of Og, king of Bashan, the two
kings of the Amorites, whose lands were on the other side of Jordan to the east;
4:47 And they possessed his land, and the land of Og king of Bashan, two
kings of the Amorites, which were on this side Jordan toward the sunrising;
4:48 그 얻은 땅은 아르논 골짜기 가의 아로엘에서부터 시온 산 곧 헤르몬 산까지요
4:48 From Aroer on the edge of the valley of the Arnon as far as Mount Sion, which is
Hermon,
4:48 From Aroer, which is by the bank of the river Arnon, even unto mount
Sion, which is Hermon,
4:49 요단 이편 곧 그 동편 온 아라바니 비스가 산록 아래 아라바의 바다까지니라
4:49 And all the Arabah on the far side of Jordan to the east, as far as the sea of the
Arabah under the slopes of Pisgah.
4:49 And all the plain on this side Jordan eastward, even unto the sea of
the plain, under the springs of Pisgah.
5:1 모세가 온 이스라엘을 불러 그들에게 이르되 이스라엘아 오늘 내가 너희 귀에
말하는 규례와 법도를 듣고 그것을 배우며 지켜 행하라
5:1 And Moses sent for all Israel, and said to them, Give ear, O Israel, to the laws
and the decisions which I give you today, and give attention to them so that you
may keep and do them.
5:1 And Moses called all Israel, and said unto them, Hear, O Israel, the
statutes and judgments which I speak in your ears this day, that all of you
may learn them, and keep, and do them.
5:2 우리 하나님 여호와께서 호렙 산에서 우리와 언약을 세우셨나니
5:2 The Lord our God made an agreement with us in Horeb.
5:2 The LORD our God made a covenant with us in Horeb.
5:3 이 언약은 여호와께서 우리 열조와 세우신 것이 아니요 오늘날 여기 살아
있는 우리 곧 우리와 세우신 것이라
5:3 The Lord did not make this agreement with our fathers but with us, who are all living
and present here today.
5:3 The LORD made not this covenant with our fathers, but with us, even us,
who are all of us here alive this day.
5:4 여호와께서 산 위 불 가운데서 너희와 대면하여 말씀하시매
5:4 The word of the Lord came to you face to face on the mountain, out of the heart
of the fire,
5:4 The LORD talked with you face to face in the mount out of the midst of
the fire,
5:5 그때에 너희가 불을 두려워하여 산에 오르지 못하므로 내가 여호와와 너희
중간에 서서 여호와의 말씀을 너희에게 전하였노라 여호와께서 가라사대
5:5 (I was between the Lord and you at that time, to make clear to you the word of the
Lord: because, through fear of the fire, you did not go up the mountain;) saying,
5:5 (I stood between the LORD and you at that time, to show you the word
of the LORD: for all of you were afraid by reason of the fire, and went not
up into the mount;) saying,
5:6 나는 너를 애굽 땅에서 종 되었던 집에서 인도하여 낸 너희 하나님 여호와로라
5:6 I am the Lord your God, who took you out of the land of Egypt, out of the prison-house.
5:6 I am the LORD your God, which brought you out of the land of Egypt, from
the house of bondage.
5:7 ○ 나 외에는 위하는 신들을 네게 있게 말지니라
5:7 You are to have no other gods but me.
5:7 You shall have no other gods before me.
5:8 ○ 너는 자기를 위하여 새긴 우상을 만들지 말고 위로 하늘에 있는 것이나
아래로 땅에 있는 것이나 땅 밑 물 속에 있는 것의 아무 형상이든지 만들지 말며
5:8 You may not make for yourselves an image in the form of anything in heaven or on
earth or in the waters under the earth:
5:8 You shall not make you any graven image, or any likeness of any thing
that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the
waters beneath the earth:
5:9 그것들에게 절하지 말며 그것들을 섬기지 말라 나 여호와 너의 하나님은 질투하는
하나님인즉 나를 미워하는 자의 죄를 갚되 아비로부터 아들에게로 삼, 사 대까지 이르게
하거니와
5:9 You may not go down on your faces before them or give them worship: for I, the Lord
your God, am a God who will not give his honour to another; and I will send punishment
on the children for the wrongdoing of their fathers, to the third and fourth generation
of my haters;
5:9 You shall not bow down yourself unto them, nor serve them: for I the
LORD your God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the
children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me,
5:10 나를 사랑하고 내 계명을 지키는 자에게는 천 대까지 은혜를 베푸느니라
5:10 And I will have mercy through a thousand generations on those who have love for
me and keep my laws.
5:10 And showing mercy unto thousands of them that love me and keep my commandments.
5:11 ○ 너는 너의 하나님 여호와의 이름을 망령되이 일컫지 말라 나 여호와는
나의 이름을 망령되이 일컫는 자를 죄 없는 줄로 인정치 아니하리라
5:11 You are not to make use of the name of the Lord your God for an evil purpose; whoever
takes the Lord's name on his lips for an evil purpose will be judged as a sinner
by the Lord.
5:11 You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain: for the LORD
will not hold him guiltless that takes his name in vain.
5:12 ○ 여호와 너의 하나님이 네게 명한 대로 안식일을 지켜 거룩하게 하라
5:12 Keep the Sabbath day as a holy day, as you have been ordered by the Lord your God.
5:12 Keep the sabbath day to sanctify it, as the LORD your God has commanded
you.
5:13 엿새 동안은 힘써 네 모든 일을 행할 것이나
5:13 On six days do all your work:
5:13 Six days you shall labour, and do all your work:
5:14 제 칠 일은 너의 하나님 여호와의 안식인즉 너나 네 아들이나 네 딸이나 네
남종이나 네 여종이나 네 소나 네 나귀나 네 모든 육축이나 네 문 안에 유하는 객이라도
아무 일도 하지 말고 네 남종이나 네 여종으로 너 같이 안식하게 할지니라
5:14 But the seventh day is a Sabbath to the Lord your God; on that day do no work, you
or your son or your daughter, or your man-servant or your woman-servant, or your
ox or your ass or any of your cattle, or the man from a strange country who is living
among you; so that your man-servant and your woman-servant may have rest as well
as you.
5:14 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD your God: in it you shall
not do any work, you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your manservant,
nor your maidservant, nor yours ox, nor yours ass, nor any of your cattle, nor
your stranger that is within your gates; that your manservant and your maidservant
may rest as well as you.
5:15 너는 기억하라 네가 애굽 땅에서 종이 되었더니 너의 하나님 여호와가 강한
손과 편 팔로 너를 거기서 인도하여 내었나니 그러므로 너의 하나님 여호와가 너를
명하여 안식일을 지키라 하느니라
5:15 And keep in mind that you were a servant in the land of Egypt, and that the Lord
your God took you out of that land by his strong hand and his stretched-out arm:
for this reason the Lord has given you orders to keep the Sabbath day.
5:15 And remember that you were a servant in the land of Egypt, and that
the LORD your God brought you out thence through a mighty hand and by a stretched
out arm: therefore the LORD your God commanded you to keep the sabbath day.
5:16 ○ 너는 너의 하나님 여호와의 명한 대로 네 부모를 공경하라 그리하면 너의
하나님 여호와가 네게 준 땅에서 네가 생명이 길고 복을 누리리라
5:16 Give honour to your father and your mother, as you have been ordered by the Lord
your God; so that your life may be long and all may be well for you in the land
which the Lord your God is giving you.
5:16 Honour your father and your mother, as the LORD your God has commanded
you; that your days may be prolonged, and that it may go well with you, in the
land which the LORD your God gives you.
5:17 ○ 살인하지 말지니라
5:17 Do not put anyone to death without cause.
5:17 You shall not kill.
5:18 ○ 간음하지도 말지니라
5:18 Do not be false to the married relation.
5:18 Neither shall you commit adultery.
5:19 ○ 도적질하지도 말지니라
5:19 Do not take the property of another.
5:19 Neither shall you steal.
5:20 ○ 네 이웃에 대하여 거짓 증거하지도 말지니라
5:20 Do not give false witness against your neighbour;
5:20 Neither shall you bear false witness against your neighbour.
5:21 ○ 네 이웃의 아내를 탐내지도 말지니라 네 이웃의 집이나 그의 밭이나 그의
남종이나 그의 여종이나 그의 소나 그의 나귀나 무릇 네 이웃의 소유를 탐내지도 말지니라
5:21 Or let your desire be turned to your neighbour's wife, or his house or his field
or his man-servant or his woman-servant or his ox or his ass or anything which is
your neighbour's.
5:21 Neither shall you desire your neighbour's wife, neither shall you covet
your neighbour's house, his field, or his manservant, or his maidservant, his
ox, or his ass, or any thing that is your neighbour's.
5:22 ○ 여호와께서 이 모든 말씀을 산 위 불 가운데, 구름 가운데, 흑암 가운데서,
큰 음성으로 너희 총회에 이르신 후에 더 말씀하지 아니하시고 그것을 두 돌판에
써서 내게 주셨느니라
5:22 These words the Lord said to all of you together on the mountain, out of the heart
of the fire, out of the cloud and the dark, with a great voice: and he said no more;
he put them in writing on the two stones of the law and gave them to me.
5:22 These words the LORD spoke unto all your assembly in the mount out of
the midst of the fire, of the cloud, and of the thick darkness, with a great
voice: and he added no more. And he wrote them in two tables of stone, and delivered
them unto me.
5:23 산이 불에 타며 캄캄한 가운데서 나오는 그 소리를 너희가 듣고 너희 지파의
두령과 장로들이 내게 나아와
5:23 And after hearing the voice which came out of the dark while the mountain was burning
with fire, all the heads of your tribes and your chiefs came to me,
5:23 And it came to pass, when all of you heard the voice out of the midst
of the darkness, (for the mountain did burn with fire,) that all of you came
near unto me, even all the heads of your tribes, and your elders;
5:24 말하되 우리 하나님 여호와께서 그 영광과 위엄을 우리에게 보이시매 불
가운데서 나오는 음성을 우리가 들었고 하나님이 사람과 말씀하시되 그 사람이 생존하는
것을 오늘날 우리가 보았나이다
5:24 And said, The Lord has let us see his glory and his power, and his voice has come
to us out of the fire: today we have seen that a man may go on living even after
hearing the voice of God.
5:24 And all of you said, Behold, the LORD our God has showed us his glory
and his greatness, and we have heard his voice out of the midst of the fire:
we have seen this day that God does talk with man, and he lives.
5:25 이제 우리가 죽을 까닭이 무엇이니이까 이 큰 불이 우리를 삼킬 것이요 우리가
우리 하나님 여호와의 음성을 다시 들으면 죽을 것이라
5:25 Why then is death to be our fate? For if the voice of the Lord our God comes to
us any more, death will overtake us, and we will be burned up in this great fire.
5:25 Now therefore why should we die? for this great fire will consume us:
if we hear the voice of the LORD our God any more, then we shall die.
5:26 무릇 육신을 가진 자가 우리처럼 사시는 하나님의 음성이 불 가운데서 발함을
듣고 생존한 자가 누구니이까
5:26 For what man is there in all the earth, who, hearing the voice of the living God
as we have, out of the heart of the fire, has been kept from death?
5:26 For who is there of all flesh, that has heard the voice of the living
God speaking out of the midst of the fire, as we have, and lived?
5:27 당신은 가까이 나아가서 우리 하나님 여호와의 하시는 말씀을 다 듣고 우리
하나님 여호와의 당신에게 이르시는 것을 다 우리에게 전하소서 우리가 듣고 행하겠나이다
하였느니라
5:27 Do you go near: and after hearing everything which the Lord our God has to say,
give us an account of all he has said to you, and we will give ear, and do it.
5:27 Go you near, and hear all that the LORD our God shall say: and speak
you unto us all that the LORD our God shall speak unto you; and we will hear
it, and do it.
5:28 ○ 여호와께서 너희가 내게 말할 때에 너희의 말하는 소리를 들으신지라
여호와께서 내게 이르시되 이 백성이 네게 말하는 그 말소리를 내가 들은즉 그 말이
다 옳도다
5:28 Then the Lord, hearing your words to me, said to me, The words which this people
have said to you have come to my ears: what they have said is well said.
5:28 And the LORD heard the voice of your words, when all of you spoke unto
me; and the LORD said unto me, I have heard the voice of the words of this people,
which they have spoken unto you: they have well said all that they have spoken.
5:29 다만 그들이 항상 이같은 마음을 품어 나를 경외하며 나의 모든 명령을 지켜서
그들과 그 자손이 영원히 복 받기를 원하노라
5:29 If only they had such a heart in them at all times, so that they might go in fear
of me and keep my orders and that it might be well for them and for their children
for ever!
5:29 O that there were such an heart in them, that they would fear me, and
keep all my commandments always, that it might be well with them, and with their
children for ever!
5:30 가서 그들에게 각기 장막으로 돌아가라 이르고
5:30 Now say to them, Go back to your tents.
5:30 Go say to them, Get you into your tents again.
5:31 너는 여기 내 곁에 섰으라 내가 모든 명령과 규례와 법도를 네게 이르리니
너는 그것을 그들에게 가르쳐서 내가 그들에게 기업으로 주는 땅에서 그들로 이를
행하게 하라 하셨나니
5:31 But as for you, keep your place here by me, and I will give you all the orders and
the laws and the decisions which you are to make clear to them, so that they may
do them in the land which I am giving them for their heritage.
5:31 But as for you, stand you here by me, and I will speak unto you all
the commandments, and the statutes, and the judgments, which you shall teach
them, that they may do them in the land which I give them to possess it.
5:32 그런즉 너희 하나님 여호와께서 너희에게 명령하신 대로 너희는 삼가 행하여
좌로나 우로나 치우치지 말고
5:32 Take care, then, to do whatever the Lord your God has given you orders to do; let
there be no turning away to the right hand or to the left.
5:32 All of you shall observe to do therefore as the LORD your God has commanded
you: all of you shall not turn aside to the right hand or to the left.
5:33 너희 하나님 여호와께서 너희에게 명하신 모든 도를 행하라 그리하면 너희가
삶을 얻고 복을 얻어서 너희의 얻은 땅에서 너희의 날이 장구하리라
5:33 Go on walking in the way ordered for you by the Lord your God, so that life may
be yours and it may be well for you, and your days may be long in the land of your
heritage.
5:33 All of you shall walk in all the ways which the LORD your God has commanded
you, that all of you may live, and that it may be well with you, and that all
of you may prolong your days in the land which all of you shall possess.
6:1 이는 곧 너희 하나님 여호와께서 너희에게 가르치라 명하신 바 명령과 규례와
법도라 너희가 건너가서 얻을 땅에서 행할 것이니
6:1 Now these are the orders and the laws and the decisions which the Lord your God
gave me for your teaching, so that you might do them in the land of your heritage
to which you are going:
6:1 Now these are the commandments, the statutes, and the judgments, which
the LORD your God commanded to teach you, that all of you might do them in the
land where all of you go to possess it:
6:2 곧 너와 네 아들과 네 손자로 평생에 네 하나님 여호와를 경외하며 내가 너희에게
명한 그 모든 규례와 명령을 지키게 하기 위한 것이며 또 네 날을 장구케 하기 위한
것이라
6:2 So that living in the fear of the Lord your God, you may keep all his laws and his
orders, which I give you: you and your son and your son's son, all the days of your
life; and so that your life may be long.
6:2 That you might fear the LORD your God, to keep all his statutes and his
commandments, which I command you, you, and your son, and your son's son, all
the days of your life; and that your days may be prolonged.
6:3 이스라엘아 듣고 삼가 그것을 행하라 그리하면 네가 복을 얻고 네 열조의
하나님 여호와께서 네게 허락하심 같이 젖과 꿀이 흐르는 땅에서 너의 수효가 심히
번성하리라
6:3 So give ear, O Israel, and take care to do this; so that it may be well for you,
and you may be greatly increased, as the Lord the God of your fathers has given
you his word, in a land flowing with milk and honey.
6:3 Hear therefore, O Israel, and observe to do it; that it may be well with
you, and that all of you may increase mightily, as the LORD God of your fathers
has promised you, in the land that flows with milk and honey.
6:4 ○ 이스라엘아 들으라 우리 하나님 여호와는 오직 하나인 여호와시니
6:4 Give ear, O Israel: the Lord our God is one Lord:
6:4 Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD:
6:5 너는 마음을 다하고 성품을 다하고 힘을 다하여 네 하나님 여호와를 사랑하라
6:5 And the Lord your God is to be loved with all your heart and with all your soul
and with all your strength.
6:5 And you shall love the LORD your God with all yours heart, and with all
your soul, and with all your might.
6:6 오늘날 내가 네게 명하는 이 말씀을 너는 마음에 새기고
6:6 Keep these words, which I say to you this day, deep in your hearts;
6:6 And these words, which I command you this day, shall be in yours heart:
6:7 네 자녀에게 부지런히 가르치며 집에 앉았을 때에든지 길에 행할 때에든지
누웠을 때에든지 일어날 때에든지 이 말씀을 강론할 것이며
6:7 Teaching them to your children with all care, talking of them when you are at rest
in your house or walking by the way, when you go to sleep and when you get up.
6:7 And you shall teach them diligently unto your children, and shall talk
of them when you sit in yours house, and when you walk by the way, and when
you lie down, and when you rise up.
6:8 너는 또 그것을 네 손목에 매어 기호를 삼으며 네 미간에 붙여 표를 삼고
6:8 Let them be fixed as a sign on your hand, and marked on your brow;
6:8 And you shall bind them for a sign upon yours hand, and they shall be
as frontlets between yours eyes.
6:9 또 네 집 문설주와 바깥 문에 기록할지니라
6:9 Have them lettered on the pillars of your houses and over the doors of your towns.
6:9 And you shall write them upon the posts of your house, and on your gates.
6:10 ○ 네 하나님 여호와께서 네 열조 아브라함과 이삭과 야곱을 향하여 네게
주리라 맹세하신 땅으로 너로 들어가게 하시고 네가 건축하지 아니한 크고 아름다운
성읍을 얻게 하시며
6:10 And when the Lord your God has taken you into the land which he gave his oath to
your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, that he would give you; with great
and fair towns which were not of your building;
6:10 And it shall be, when the LORD your God shall have brought you into
the land which he swore unto your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob,
to give you great and goodly cities, which you builded not,
6:11 네가 채우지 아니한 아름다운 물건이 가득한 집을 얻게 하시며 네가 파지
아니한 우물을 얻게 하시며 네가 심지 아니한 포도원과 감람나무를 얻게 하사 너로
배불리 먹게 하실 때에
6:11 And houses full of good things not stored up by you, and places for storing water
which you did not make, and vine-gardens and olive-trees not of your planting; and
you have taken food and are full;
6:11 And houses full of all good things, which you filled not, and wells
dug, which you dug not, vineyards and olive trees, which you planted not; when
you shall have eaten and be full;
6:12 너는 조심하여 너를 애굽 땅 종 되었던 집에서 인도하여 내신 여호와를 잊지
말고
6:12 Then take care that you keep your hearts true to the Lord, who took you out of the
land of Egypt, out of the prison-house.
6:12 Then beware lest you forget the LORD, which brought you forth out of
the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage.
6:13 네 하나님 여호와를 경외하며 섬기며 그 이름으로 맹세할 것이니라
6:13 Let the fear of the Lord your God be in your hearts, and be his servants, taking
your oaths by his name.
6:13 You shall fear the LORD your God, and serve him, and shall swear by
his name.
6:14 너희는 다른 신들 곧 네 사면에 있는 백성의 신들을 좇지 말라
6:14 Do not go after other gods, the gods of the peoples round about you;
6:14 All of you shall not go after other gods, of the gods of the people
which are round about you;
6:15 너희 중에 계신 너희 하나님 여호와는 질투하시는 하나님이신즉 너희 하나님
여호와께서 네게 진노하사 너를 지면에서 멸절시키실까 두려워하노라
6:15 For the Lord your God who is with you is a God who will not let his honour be given
to another; or the wrath of the Lord will be burning against you, causing your destruction
from the face of the earth.
6:15 (For the LORD your God is a jealous God among you) lest the anger of
the LORD your God be kindled against you, and destroy you from off the face
of the earth.
6:16 ○ 너희가 맛사에서 시험한 것 같이 너희의 하나님 여호와를 시험하지 말고
6:16 Do not put the Lord your God to the test as you did in Massah.
6:16 All of you shall not tempt the LORD your God, as all of you tempted
him in Massah.
6:17 너희의 하나님 여호와께서 너희에게 명하신 명령과 증거하신 것과 규례를
삼가 지키며
6:17 Keep with care the orders of the Lord your God, and his rules and his laws which
he has given you;
6:17 All of you shall diligently keep the commandments of the LORD your God,
and his testimonies, and his statutes, which he has commanded you.
6:18 여호와의 보시기에 정직하고 선량한 일을 행하라 그리하면 네가 복을 얻고
여호와께서 네 열조에게 맹세하사 네 대적을 몰수히 네 앞에서 쫓아내리라 하신 아름다운
땅을 들어가서 얻으리니 여호와의 말씀과 같으리라
6:18 And do what is upright and good in the eyes of the Lord your God, so that it may
be well for you and you may go in and take for your heritage that good land from
which the Lord undertook by an oath to your fathers,
6:18 And you shall do that which is right and good in the sight of the LORD:
that it may be well with you, and that you may go in and possess the good land
which the LORD swore unto your fathers.
6:19 {상동}
6:19 To send out from before you all those who are against you.
6:19 To cast out all yours enemies from before you, as the LORD has spoken.
6:20 ○ 후일에 네 아들이 네게 묻기를 우리 하나님 여호와의 명하신 증거와 말씀과
규례와 법도가 무슨 뜻이뇨 하거든
6:20 And when your son says to you in time to come, What is the reason for these rules
and laws and decisions which the Lord our God has given you?
6:20 And when your son asks you in time to come, saying, What mean the testimonies,
and the statutes, and the judgments, which the LORD our God has commanded you?
6:21 너는 네 아들에게 이르기를 우리가 옛적에 애굽에서 바로의 종이 되었더니
여호와께서 권능의 손으로 우리를 애굽에서 인도하여 내셨나니
6:21 Then you will say to your son, We were servants under Pharaoh's yoke in Egypt; and
the Lord took us out of Egypt with a strong hand:
6:21 Then you shall say unto your son, We were Pharaoh's bondmen in Egypt;
and the LORD brought us out of Egypt with a mighty hand:
6:22 곧 여호와께서 우리의 목전에서 크고 두려운 이적과 기사를 애굽과 바로와
그 온 집에 베푸시고
6:22 And the Lord did great signs and wonders against Egypt, and against Pharaoh and
all his house, before our eyes:
6:22 And the LORD showed signs and wonders, great and sore, upon Egypt, upon
Pharaoh, and upon all his household, before our eyes:
6:23 우리 열조에게 맹세하신 땅으로 우리에게 주어 들어가게 하시려고 우리를
거기서 인도하여 내시고
6:23 And he took us out from that place, guiding us here to give us this land, as he
said in his oath to our fathers.
6:23 And he brought us out from thence, that he might bring us in, to give
us the land which he swore unto our fathers.
6:24 여호와께서 우리에게 이 모든 규례를 지키라 명하셨으니 이는 우리로 우리
하나님 여호와를 경외하여 항상 복을 누리게 하기 위하심이며 또 여호와께서 우리로
오늘날과 같이 생활하게 하려 하심이라
6:24 And the Lord gave us orders to keep all these laws, in the fear of the Lord our
God, so that it might be well for us for ever, and that he might keep us from death,
as he has done to this day.
6:24 And the LORD commanded us to do all these statutes, to fear the LORD
our God, for our good always, that he might preserve us alive, as it is at this
day.
6:25 우리가 그 명하신 대로 이 모든 명령을 우리 하나님 여호와 앞에서 삼가 지키면
그것이 곧 우리의 의로움이니라 할지니라
6:25 And it will be our righteousness if we take care to keep all this order before the
Lord our God as he has given it to us.
6:25 And it shall be our righteousness, if we observe to do all these commandments
before the LORD our God, as he has commanded us.
7:1 네 하나님 여호와께서 너를 인도하사 네가 가서 얻을 땅으로 들이시고 네
앞에서 여러 민족 헷 족속과 기르가스 족속과 아모리 족속과 가나안 족속과 브리스
족속과 히위 족속과 여부스 족속 곧 너보다 많고 힘이 있는 일곱 족속을 쫓아내실
때에
7:1 When the Lord your God takes you into the land where you are going, which is to
be your heritage, and has sent out the nations before you, the Hittites and the
Girgashites and the Amorites and the Canaanites and the Perizzites and the Hivites
and the Jebusites, seven nations greater and stronger than you;
7:1 When the LORD your God shall bring you into the land where you go to
possess it, and has cast out many nations before you, the Hittites, and the
Girgashites, and the Amorites, and the Canaanites, and the Perizzites, and the
Hivites, and the Jebusites, seven nations greater and mightier than you;
7:2 네 하나님 여호와께서 그들을 네게 붙여 너로 치게 하시리니 그때에 너는
그들을 진멸할 것이라 그들과 무슨 언약도 말 것이요 그들을 불쌍히 여기지도 말 것이며
7:2 And when the Lord has given them up into your hands and you have overcome them,
give them up to complete destruction: make no agreement with them, and have no mercy
on them:
7:2 And when the LORD your God shall deliver them before you; you shall strike
them, and utterly destroy them; you shall make no covenant with them, nor show
mercy unto them:
7:3 또 그들과 혼인하지 말지니 네 딸을 그 아들에게 주지 말 것이요 그 딸로
네 며느리를 삼지 말 것은
7:3 Do not take wives or husbands from among them; do not give your daughters to their
sons, or take their daughters for your sons.
7:3 Neither shall you make marriages with them; your daughter you shall not
give unto his son, nor his daughter shall you take unto your son.
7:4 그가 네 아들을 유혹하여 그로 여호와를 떠나고 다른 신들을 섬기게 하므로
여호와께서 너희에게 진노하사 갑자기 너희를 멸하실 것임이니라
7:4 For through them your sons will be turned from me to the worship of other gods:
and the Lord will be moved to wrath against you and send destruction on you quickly.
7:4 For they will turn away your son from following me, that they may serve
other gods: so will the anger of the LORD be kindled against you, and destroy
you suddenly.
7:5 오직 너희가 그들에게 행할 것은 이러하니 그들의 단을 헐며 주상을 깨뜨리며
아세라 목상을 찍으며 조각한 우상들을 불사를 것이니라
7:5 But this is what you are to do to them: their altars are to be pulled down and their
pillars broken, and their holy trees cut down and their images burned with fire.
7:5 But thus shall all of you deal with them; all of you shall destroy their
altars, and break down their images, and cut down their groves, and burn their
graven images with fire.
7:6 너는 여호와 네 하나님의 성민이라 네 하나님 여호와께서 지상 만민 중에서
너를 자기 기업의 백성으로 택하셨나니
7:6 For you are a holy people to the Lord your God: marked out by the Lord your God
to be his special people out of all the nations on the face of the earth.
7:6 For you are an holy people unto the LORD your God: the LORD your God
has chosen you to be a special people unto himself, above all people that are
upon the face of the earth.
7:7 여호와께서 너희를 기뻐하시고 너희를 택하심은 너희가 다른 민족보다 수효가
많은 연고가 아니라 너희는 모든 민족 중에 가장 적으니라
7:7 The Lord did not give you his love or take you for himself because you were more
in number than any other people; for you were the smallest of the nations:
7:7 The LORD did not set his love upon you, nor choose you, because all of
you were more in number than any people; for all of you were the few of all
people:
7:8 여호와께서 다만 너희를 사랑하심을 인하여, 또는 너희 열조에게 하신 맹세를
지키려 하심을 인하여 자기의 권능의 손으로 너희를 인도하여 내시되 너희를 그 종
되었던 집에서 애굽 왕 바로의 손에서 속량하셨나니
7:8 But because of his love for you, and in order to keep his oath to your fathers,
the Lord took you out with the strength of his hand, making you free from the prison-house
and from the hand of Pharaoh, king of Egypt.
7:8 But because the LORD loved you, and because he would keep the oath which
he had sworn unto your fathers, has the LORD brought you out with a mighty hand,
and redeemed you out of the house of bondmen, from the hand of Pharaoh king
of Egypt.
7:9 그런즉 너는 알라 오직 네 하나님 여호와는 하나님이시요 신실하신 하나님이시라
그를 사랑하고 그 계명을 지키는 자에게는 천 대까지 그 언약을 이행하시며 인애를
베푸시되
7:9 Be certain, then, that the Lord your God is God; whose faith and mercy are unchanging,
who keeps his word through a thousand generations to those who have love for him
and keep his laws;
7:9 Know therefore that the LORD your God, he is God, the faithful God, which
keeps covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to
a thousand generations;
7:10 그를 미워하는 자에게는 당장에 보응하여 멸하시나니 여호와는 자기를 미워하는
자에게 지체하지 아니하시고 당장에 그에게 보응하시느니라
7:10 Rewarding his haters to their face with destruction; he will have no mercy on his
hater, but will give him open punishment.
7:10 And repays them that hate him to their face, to destroy them: he will
not be slack to him that hates him, he will repay him to his face.
7:11 그런즉 너는 오늘날 내가 네게 명하는 명령과 규례와 법도를 지켜 행할지니라
7:11 So keep the orders and the laws and the decisions which I give you today and do
them.
7:11 You shall therefore keep the commandments, and the statutes, and the
judgments, which I command you this day, to do them.
7:12 ○ 너희가 이 모든 법도를 듣고 지켜 행하면 네 하나님 여호와께서 네 열조에게
맹세하신 언약을 지켜 네게 인애를 베푸실 것이라
7:12 And it will be, that if you give attention to these decisions and keep and do them,
then the Lord will keep his agreement with you and his mercy, as he said in his
oath to your fathers.
7:12 Wherefore it shall come to pass, if all of you hearken to these judgments,
and keep, and do them, that the LORD your God shall keep unto you the covenant
and the mercy which he swore unto your fathers:
7:13 곧 너를 사랑하시고 복을 주사 너로 번성케 하시되 네게 주리라고 네 열조에게
맹세하신 땅에서 네 소생에게 은혜를 베푸시며 네 토지 소산과 곡식과 포도주와 기름을
풍성케 하시고 네 소와 양을 번식케 하시리니
7:13 And he will give you his love, blessing you and increasing you: he will send his
blessing on the offspring of your body and the fruit of your land, your grain and
your wine and your oil, the increase of your cattle and the young of your flock,
in the land which by his oath to your fathers he undertook to give you.
7:13 And he will love you, and bless you, and multiply you: he will also
bless the fruit of your womb, and the fruit of your land, your corn, and your
wine, and yours oil, the increase of your cattle, and the flocks of your sheep,
in the land which he swore unto your fathers to give you.
7:14 네가 복을 받음이 만민보다 우승하여 너희 중의 남녀와 너희 짐승의 암수에
생육하지 못함이 없을 것이며
7:14 You will have greater blessings than any other people: no male or female among you
or among your cattle will be without offspring.
7:14 You shall be blessed above all people: there shall not be male or female
barren among you, or among your cattle.
7:15 여호와께서 또 모든 질병을 네게서 멀리하사 너희가 아는 바 그 애굽의 악질이
네게 임하지 않게 하시고 너를 미워하는 모든 자에게 임하게 하실 것이라
7:15 And the Lord will take away from you all disease, and will not put on you any of
the evil diseases of Egypt which you have seen, but will put them on your haters.
7:15 And the LORD will take away from you all sickness, and will put none
of the evil diseases of Egypt, which you know, upon you; but will lay them upon
all them that hate you.
7:16 네 하나님 여호와께서 네게 붙이신 모든 민족을 네 눈이 긍휼히 보지 말고
진멸하고 그 신을 섬기지 말라 그것이 네게 올무가 되리라
7:16 And you are to send destruction on all the peoples which the Lord your God gives
into your hands; have no pity on them, and do not give worship to their gods; for
that will be a cause of sin to you.
7:16 And you shall consume all the people which the LORD your God shall deliver
you; yours eye shall have no pity upon them: neither shall you serve their gods;
for that will be a snare unto you.
7:17 ○ 네가 혹시 심중에 이르기를 이 민족들이 나보다 많으니 내가 어찌 그를
쫓아 낼 수 있으리요 하리라마는
7:17 If you say in your hearts, These nations are greater in number than we are: how
are we to take their land from them?
7:17 If you shall say in yours heart, These nations are more than I; how
can I dispossess them?
7:18 그들을 두려워 말고 네 하나님 여호와께서 바로와 온 애굽에 행하신 것을
잘 기억하되
7:18 Have no fear of them, but keep well in mind what the Lord your God did to Pharaoh
and to all Egypt;
7:18 You shall not be afraid of them: but shall well remember what the LORD
your God did unto Pharaoh, and unto all Egypt;
7:19 네 하나님 여호와께서 너를 인도하여 내실 때에 네가 목도한 큰 시험과 이적과
기사와 강한 손과 편 팔을 기억하라 그와 같이 네 하나님 여호와께서 네가 두려워하는
모든 민족에게 행하실 것이요
7:19 The great punishments which your eyes saw, and the signs and the wonders and the
strong hand and the stretched-out arm, by which the Lord your God took you out:
so will the Lord your God do to all the peoples who are the cause of your fears.
7:19 The great temptations which yours eyes saw, and the signs, and the wonders,
and the mighty hand, and the stretched out arm, whereby the LORD your God brought
you out: so shall the LORD your God do unto all the people of whom you are afraid.
7:20 네 하나님 여호와께서 또 왕벌을 그들 중에 보내어 그들의 남은 자와 너를
피하여 숨은 자를 멸하시리니
7:20 And the Lord will send a hornet among them, till all the rest who have kept themselves
safe from you in secret places have been cut off.
7:20 Moreover the LORD your God will send the hornet among them, until they
that are left, and hide themselves from you, be destroyed.
7:21 너는 그들을 두려워 말라 너희 하나님 여호와 곧 크고 두려운 하나님이 너희
중에 계심이니라
7:21 Have no fear of them: for the Lord your God is with you, a great God greatly to
be feared.
7:21 You shall not be affrighted at them: for the LORD your God is among
you, a mighty God and terrible.
7:22 네 하나님 여호와께서 이 민족들을 네 앞에서 점점 쫓아내시리니 너는 그들을
급히 멸하지 말라 두렵건대 들짐승이 번성하여 너를 해할까 하노라
7:22 The Lord your God will send out the nations before you little by little; they are
not to be rooted out quickly, for fear that the beasts of the field may be increased
overmuch against you.
7:22 And the LORD your God will put out those nations before you by little
and little: you may not consume them at once, lest the beasts of the field increase
upon you.
7:23 네 하나님 여호와께서 그들을 네게 붙이시고 그들을 크게 요란케 하여 필경은
진멸하시고
7:23 But the Lord your God will give them up into your hands, overpowering them till
their destruction is complete.
7:23 But the LORD your God shall deliver them unto you, and shall destroy
them with a mighty destruction, until they be destroyed.
7:24 그들의 왕들을 네 손에 붙이시리니 너는 그 이름을 천하에서 제하여 버리라
너를 당할 자가 없이 네가 필경은 그들을 진멸하리라
7:24 He will give their kings into your hands, and you will put their names out of existence
under heaven; there is not one of them who will not give way before you, till their
destruction is complete.
7:24 And he shall deliver their kings into yours hand, and you shall destroy
their name from under heaven: there shall no man be able to stand before you,
until you have destroyed them.
7:25 너는 그들의 조각한 신상들을 불사르고 그것에 입힌 은이나 금을 탐내지
말며 취하지 말라 두렵건대 네가 그것으로 인하여 올무에 들까 하노니 이는 네 하나님
여호와의 가증히 여기시는 것임이니라
7:25 The images of their gods are to be burned with fire: have no desire for the gold
and silver on them, and do not take it for yourselves, for it will be a danger to
you: it is a thing disgusting to the Lord your God:
7:25 The graven images of their gods shall all of you burn with fire: you
shall not desire the silver or gold that is on them, nor take it unto you, lest
you be snared therin: for it is an abomination to the LORD your God.
7:26 너는 가증한 것을 네 집에 들이지 말라 너도 그와 같이 진멸 당할 것이 될까
하노라 너는 그것을 극히 꺼리며 심히 미워하라 그것은 진멸 당할 것임이니라
7:26 And you may not take a disgusting thing into your house, and so become cursed with
its curse: but keep yourselves from it, turning from it with fear and hate, for
it is a cursed thing.
7:26 Neither shall you bring an abomination into yours house, lest you be
a cursed thing like it: but you shall utterly detest it, and you shall utterly
detest it; for it is a cursed thing.
8:1 내가 오늘날 명하는 모든 명령을 너희는 지켜 행하라 그리하면 너희가 살고
번성하고 여호와께서 너희의 열조에게 맹세하신 땅에 들어가서 그것을 얻으리라
8:1 Take care to keep all the orders which I give you today, so that you may have life
and be increased and go in and take as a heritage the land which the Lord, by his
oath to your fathers, undertook to give you.
8:1 All the commandments which I command you this day shall all of you observe
to do, that all of you may live, and multiply, and go in and possess the land
which the LORD swore unto your fathers.
8:2 네 하나님 여호와께서 이 사십 년 동안에 너로 광야의 길을 걷게 하신 것을
기억하라 이는 너를 낮추시며 너를 시험하사 네 마음이 어떠한지 그 명령을 지키는지
아니 지키는지 알려 하심이라
8:2 And keep in mind the way by which the Lord your God has taken you through the waste
land these forty years, so that he might make low your pride and put you to the
test, to see what was in your heart and if you would keep his orders or not.
8:2 And you shall remember all the way which the LORD your God led you these
forty years in the wilderness, to humble you, and to prove you, to know what
was in yours heart, whether you would keep his commandments, or no.
8:3 너를 낮추시며 너로 주리게 하시며 또 너도 알지 못하며 네 열조도 알지 못하던
만나를 네게 먹이신 것은 사람이 떡으로만 사는 것이 아니요 여호와의 입에서 나오는
모든 말씀으로 사는 줄을 너로 알게 하려 하심이니라
8:3 And he made low your pride and let you be without food and gave you manna for your
food, a thing new to you, which your fathers never saw; so that he might make it
clear to you that bread is not man's only need, but his life is in every word which
comes out of the mouth of the Lord.
8:3 And he humbled you, and suffered you to hunger, and fed you with manna,
which you knew not, neither did your fathers know; that he might make you know
that man does not live by bread only, but by every word that proceeds out of
the mouth of the LORD does man live.
8:4 이 사십 년 동안에 네 의복이 해어지지 아니하였고 네 발이 부릍지 아니하였느니라
8:4 Through all these forty years your clothing did not get old or your feet become
tired.
8:4 Your raiment waxed not old upon you, neither did your foot swell, these
forty years.
8:5 너는 사람이 그 아들을 징계함 같이 네 하나님 여호와께서 너를 징계하시는 줄
마음에 생각하고
8:5 Keep in mind this thought, that as a son is trained by his father, so you have been
trained by the Lord your God.
8:5 You shall also consider in yours heart, that, as a man chastens his son,
so the LORD your God chastens you.
8:6 네 하나님 여호와의 명령을 지켜 그 도를 행하며 그를 경외할지니라
8:6 Then keep the orders of the Lord your God, fearing him and walking in his ways.
8:6 Therefore you shall keep the commandments of the LORD your God, to walk
in his ways, and to fear him.
8:7 네 하나님 여호와께서 너를 아름다운 땅에 이르게 하시나니 그 곳은 골짜기에든지
산지에든지 시내와 분천과 샘이 흐르고
8:7 For the Lord your God is guiding you into a good land, a land of water-springs,
of fountains, and deep streams flowing out from the valleys and the hills;
8:7 For the LORD your God brings you into a good land, a land of brooks of
water, of fountains and depths that spring out of valleys and hills;
8:8 밀과 보리의 소산지요 포도와 무화과와 석류와 감람들의 나무와 꿀의 소산지라
8:8 A land of grain and vines and fig-trees and fair fruits; a land of oil-giving olive-trees
and honey;
8:8 A land of wheat, and barley, and vines, and fig trees, and pomegranates;
a land of oil olive, and honey;
8:9 너의 먹는 식물의 결핍함이 없고 네게 아무 부족함이 없는 땅이며 그 땅의
돌은 철이요 산에서는 동을 캘 것이라
8:9 Where there will be bread for you in full measure and you will be in need of nothing;
a land where the very stones are iron and from whose hills you may get copper.
8:9 A land wherein you shall eat bread without scarceness, you shall not
lack any thing in it; a land whose stones are iron, and out of whose hills you
may dig brass.
8:10 네가 먹어서 배불리고 네 하나님 여호와께서 옥토로 네게 주셨음을 인하여
그를 찬송하리라
8:10 And you will have food enough and be full, praising the Lord your God for the good
land he has given you.
8:10 When you have eaten and are full, then you shall bless the LORD your
God for the good land which he has given you.
8:11 ○ 내가 오늘날 네게 명하는 여호와의 명령과 법도와 규례를 지키지 아니하고
네 하나님 여호와를 잊어버리게 되지 않도록 삼갈지어다
8:11 Then take care that you are not turned away from the Lord your God and from keeping
his orders and decisions and laws which I give you this day:
8:11 Beware that you forget not the LORD your God, in not keeping his commandments,
and his judgments, and his statutes, which I command you this day:
8:12 네가 먹어서 배불리고 아름다운 집을 짓고 거하게 되며
8:12 And when you have taken food and are full, and have made fair houses for yourselves
and are living in them;
8:12 Lest when you have eaten and are full, and have built goodly houses,
and dwelt therein;
8:13 또 네 우양이 번성하며 네 은금이 증식되며 네 소유가 다 풍부하게 될 때에
8:13 And when your herds and your flocks are increased, and your stores of silver and
gold, and you have wealth of every sort;
8:13 And when your herds and your flocks multiply, and your silver and your
gold is multiplied, and all that you have is multiplied;
8:14 두렵건대 네 마음이 교만하여 네 하나님 여호와를 잊어버릴까 하노라 여호와는
너를 애굽 땅 종 되었던 집에서 이끌어 내시고
8:14 Take care that your hearts are not lifted up in pride, giving no thought to the
Lord your God who took you out of the land of Egypt, out of the prison-house;
8:14 Then yours heart be lifted up, and you forget the LORD your God, which
brought you forth out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage;
8:15 너를 인도하여 그 광대하고 위험한 광야 곧 불뱀과 전갈이 있고 물이 없는
간조한 땅을 지나게 하셨으며 또 너를 위하여 물을 굳은 반석에서 내셨으며
8:15 Who was your guide through that great and cruel waste, where there were poison-snakes
and scorpions and a dry land without water; who made water come out of the hard
rock for you;
8:15 Who led you through that great and terrible wilderness, wherein were
fiery serpents, and scorpions, and drought, where there was no water; who brought
you forth water out of the rock of flint;
8:16 네 열조도 알지 못하던 만나를 광야에서 네게 먹이셨나니 이는 다 너를 낮추시며
너를 시험하사 마침내 네게 복을 주려 하심이었느니라
8:16 Who gave you manna for your food in the waste land, a food which your fathers had
never seen; so that your pride might be broken and your hearts tested for your good
in the end;
8:16 Who fed you in the wilderness with manna, which your fathers knew not,
that he might humble you, and that he might prove you, to do you good at your
latter end;
8:17 또 두렵건대 네가 마음에 이르기를 내 능과 내 손의 힘으로 내가 이 재물을
얻었다 할까 하노라
8:17 Say not then, in your hearts, My power and the strength of my hands have got me
this wealth.
8:17 And you say in yours heart, My power and the might of mine hand has
got me this wealth.
8:18 네 하나님 여호와를 기억하라 그가 네게 재물 얻을 능을 주셨음이라 이같이
하심은 네 열조에게 맹세하신 언약을 오늘과 같이 이루려 하심이니라
8:18 But keep in mind the Lord your God: for it is he who gives you the power to get
wealth, so that he may give effect to the agreement which he made by his oath with
your fathers, as at this day.
8:18 But you shall remember the LORD your God: for it is he that gives you
power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he swore unto
your fathers, as it is this day.
8:19 네가 만일 네 하나님 여호와를 잊어버리고 다른 신들을 좇아 그들을 섬기며
그들에게 절하면 내가 너희에게 증거하노니 너희가 정녕히 멸망할 것이라
8:19 And it is certain that if at any time you are turned away from the Lord your God,
and go after other gods, to be their servants and to give them worship, destruction
will overtake you.
8:19 And it shall be, if you do at all forget the LORD your God, and walk
after other gods, and serve them, and worship them, I testify against you this
day that all of you shall surely perish.
8:20 여호와께서 너희의 앞에서 멸망시키신 민족들 같이 너희도 멸망하리니 이는
너희가 너희 하나님 여호와의 소리를 청종치 아니함이니라
8:20 Like the nations which the Lord is cutting off before you, so you will be cut off;
because you would not give ear to the voice of the Lord your God.
8:20 As the nations which the LORD destroys before your face, so shall all
of you perish; because all of you would not be obedient unto the voice of the
LORD your God.
9:1 이스라엘아 들으라 네가 오늘 요단을 건너 너보다 강대한 나라들로 들어가서
그것을 얻으리니 그 성읍들은 크고 성벽은 하늘에 닿았으며
9:1 Give ear, O Israel: today you are to go over Jordan, to take the heritage of nations
greater and stronger than yourselves, and towns of great size with walls as high
as heaven;
9:1 Hear, O Israel: You are to pass over Jordan this day, to go in to possess
nations greater and mightier than yourself, cities great and fenced up to heaven,
9:2 그 백성은 네가 아는 바 장대한 아낙 자손이라 그에게 대한 말을 네가 들었나니
이르기를 누가 아낙 자손을 능히 당하리요 하거니와
9:2 A people great and tall, the sons of the Anakim, of whom you have knowledge and
of whom it has been said, All are forced to give way before the sons of Anak.
9:2 A people great and tall, the children of the Anakims, whom you know,
and of whom you have heard say, Who can stand before the children of Anak!
9:3 오늘날 너는 알라 네 하나님 여호와께서 맹렬한 불과 같이 네 앞에 나아가신즉
여호와께서 그들을 파하사 네 앞에 엎드러지게 하시리니 여호와께서 네게 말씀하신
것 같이 너는 그들을 쫓아내며 속히 멸할 것이라
9:3 Be certain then today that it is the Lord your God who goes over before you like
an all-burning fire; he will send destruction on them, crushing them before you;
and you will send them in flight, putting an end to them quickly, as the Lord has
said.
9:3 Understand therefore this day, that the LORD your God is he which goes
over before you; as a consuming fire he shall destroy them, and he shall bring
them down before your face: so shall you drive them out, and destroy them quickly,
as the LORD has said unto you.
9:4 네 하나님 여호와께서 그들을 네 앞에서 쫓아내신 후에 네가 심중에 이르기를
나의 의로움을 인하여 여호와께서 나를 이 땅으로 인도하여 들여서 그것을 얻게 하셨다
하지 말라 실상은 이 민족들이 악함을 인하여 여호와께서 그들을 네 앞에서 쫓아내심이니라
9:4 And after the Lord has sent them in flight from before you, say not in your heart,
Because of my righteousness the Lord has given me this land; when it is because
of their evil-doing that the Lord is driving these nations out before you.
9:4 Speak not you in yours heart, after that the LORD your God has cast them
out from before you, saying, For my righteousness the LORD has brought me in
to possess this land: but for the wickedness of these nations the LORD does
drive them out from before you.
9:5 네가 가서 그 땅을 얻음은 너의 의로움을 인함도 아니며 네 마음이 정직함을
인함도 아니요 이 민족들의 악함을 인하여 네 하나님 여호와께서 그들을 네 앞에서
쫓아내심이라 여호와께서 이같이 하심은 네 열조 아브라함과 이삭과 야곱에게 하신
맹세를 이루려 하심이니라
9:5 Not for your righteousness or because your hearts are upright are you going in to
take their land; but because of the evil-doing of these nations the Lord your God
is driving them out from before you, and to give effect to his oath to your fathers,
Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
9:5 Not for your righteousness, or for the uprightness of yours heart, do
you go to possess their land: but for the wickedness of these nations the LORD
your God does drive them out from before you, and that he may perform the word
which the LORD swore unto your fathers, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
9:6 ○ 그러므로 네가 알 것은 네 하나님 여호와께서 네게 이 아름다운 땅을 기업으로
주신 것이 네 의로움을 인함이 아니니라 너는 목이 곧은 백성이니라
9:6 Be certain then that the Lord your God is not giving you this good land as a reward
for your righteousness; for you are a stiff-necked people.
9:6 Understand therefore, that the LORD your God gives you not this good
land to possess it for your righteousness; for you are a stubborn people.
9:7 너는 광야에서 네 하나님 여호와를 격노케 하던 일을 잊지 말고 기억하라
네가 애굽 땅에서 나오던 날부터 이곳에 이르기까지 늘 여호와를 거역하였으되
9:7 Keep well in mind how you made the Lord your God angry in the waste land; from the
day when you went out of Egypt till you came to this place, you have gone against
the orders of the Lord.
9:7 Remember, and forget not, how you provoked the LORD your God to wrath
in the wilderness: from the day that you did depart out of the land of Egypt,
until all of you came unto this place, all of you have been rebellious against
the LORD.
9:8 호렙 산에서 너희가 여호와를 격노케 하였으므로 여호와께서 진노하사 너희를
멸하려 하셨느니라
9:8 Again in Horeb you made the Lord angry, and in his wrath he would have put an end
to you.
9:8 Also in Horeb all of you provoked the LORD to wrath, so that the LORD
was angry with you to have destroyed you.
9:9 그때에 내가 돌판들 곧 여호와께서 너희와 세우신 언약의 돌판들을 받으려고
산에 올라가서 사십 주야를 산에 거하며 떡도 먹지 아니하고 물도 마시지 아니하였더니
9:9 When I had gone up into the mountain to be given the stones on which was recorded
the agreement which the Lord made with you, I was on the mountain for forty days
and forty nights without taking food or drinking water.
9:9 When I was gone up into the mount to receive the tables of stone, even
the tables of the covenant which the LORD made with you, then I abode in the
mount forty days and forty nights, I neither did eat bread nor drink water:
9:10 여호와께서 두 돌판을 네게 주셨나니 그 판의 글은 하나님이 친수로 기록하신
것이요 너희 총회 날에 여호와께서 산상 불 가운데서 너희에게 이르신 모든 말씀이니라
9:10 And the Lord gave me the two stones with writing on them done by the finger of God:
on them were recorded all the words which the Lord said to you on the mountain out
of the heart of the fire, on the day of the great meeting.
9:10 And the LORD delivered unto me two tables of stone written with the
finger of God; and on them was written according to all the words, which the
LORD spoke with you in the mount out of the midst of the fire in the day of
the assembly.
9:11 사십 주야가 지난 후에 여호와께서 내게 돌판 곧 언약의 두 돌판을 주시고
9:11 Then at the end of forty days and forty nights the Lord gave me those stones, the
stones of the agreement.
9:11 And it came to pass at the end of forty days and forty nights, that
the LORD gave me the two tables of stone, even the tables of the covenant.
9:12 내게 이르시되 일어나 여기서 속히 내려가라 네가 애굽에서 인도하여 낸
내 백성이 스스로 부패하여 내가 그들에게 명한 도를 속히 떠나 자기를 위하여 우상을
부어 만들었느니라
9:12 And the Lord said to me, Get up now, and go down quickly from this place; for the
people you have taken out of Egypt have given themselves over to evil; they have
quickly been turned from the way in which I gave them orders to go; they have made
themselves a metal image.
9:12 And the LORD said unto me, Arise, get you down quickly from behind;
for your people which you have brought forth out of Egypt have corrupted themselves;
they are quickly turned aside out of the way which I commanded them; they have
made them a molten image.
9:13 여호와께서 또 내게 일러 가라사대 내가 이 백성을 보았노라 보라 이는 목이
곧은 백성이니라
9:13 And then the Lord said to me, I have seen that this people is stiff-necked:
9:13 Furthermore the LORD spoke unto me, saying, I have seen this people,
and, behold, it is a stubborn people:
9:14 나를 막지 말라 내가 그들을 멸하여 그 이름을 천하에서 도말하고 너로 그들보다
강대한 나라가 되게 하리라 하시기로
9:14 Let me send destruction on them till their very name is cut off; and I will make
of you a nation greater and stronger than they.
9:14 Let me alone, that I may destroy them, and blot out their name from
under heaven: and I will make of you a nation mightier and greater than they.
9:15 내가 돌이켜 산에서 내려오는데 산에는 불이 붙었고 언약의 두 돌판은 내
손에 있었느니라
9:15 So turning round I came down from the mountain, and the mountain was burning with
fire; and the two stones of the agreement were in my hands.
9:15 So I turned and came down from the mount, and the mount burned with
fire: and the two tables of the covenant were in my two hands.
9:16 내가 본즉 너희가 너희 하나님 여호와께 범죄하여 자기를 위하여 송아지를
부어 만들어서 급속히 여호와의 명하신 도를 떠났기로
9:16 And I saw that you had done evil against the Lord, and had made for yourselves a
metal image of a young ox: you had quickly been turned from the way in which the
Lord had given you orders to go.
9:16 And I looked, and, behold, all of you had sinned against the LORD your
God, and had made you a molten calf: all of you had turned aside quickly out
of the way which the LORD had commanded you.
9:17 내가 그 두 돌판을 내 두 손에서 들어 던져 너희의 목전에서 깨뜨렸었노라
9:17 And I let the stones go from my hands, and they were broken before your eyes.
9:17 And I took the two tables, and cast them out of my two hands, and brake
them before your eyes.
9:18 그리고 내가 전과 같이 사십 주야를 여호와 앞에 엎드려서 떡도 먹지 아니하고
물도 마시지 아니하였으니 이는 너희가 여호와의 목전에 악을 행하여 그를 격노케
하여 크게 죄를 얻었음이라
9:18 And I went down on my face before the Lord, as at the first, for forty days and
forty nights, without taking food or drinking water, because of all your sin, in
doing evil in the eyes of the Lord and moving him to wrath.
9:18 And I fell down before the LORD, as at the first, forty days and forty
nights: I did neither eat bread, nor drink water, because of all your sins which
all of you sinned, in doing wickedly in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him
to anger.
9:19 여호와께서 심히 분노하사 너희를 멸하려 하셨으므로 내가 두려워하였었노라
그러나 여호와께서 그때에도 내 말을 들으셨고
9:19 For I was full of fear because of the wrath of the Lord which was burning against
you, with your destruction in view. But again the Lord's ear was open to my prayer.
9:19 For I was afraid of the anger and hot displeasure, wherewith the LORD
was angry against you to destroy you. But the LORD hearkened unto me at that
time also.
9:20 여호와께서 또 아론에게 진노하사 그를 멸하려 하셨으므로 내가 그때에도
아론을 위하여 기도하고
9:20 And the Lord, in his wrath, would have put Aaron to death: and I made prayer for
Aaron at the same time.
9:20 And the LORD was very angry with Aaron to have destroyed him: and I
prayed for Aaron also the same time.
9:21 너희의 죄 곧 너희의 만든 송아지를 취하여 불살라 찧고 티끌 같이 가늘게
갈아 그 가루를 산에서 흘러 내리는 시내에 뿌렸었느니라
9:21 And I took your sin, the image which you had made, and put it in the fire and had
it hammered and crushed very small till it was only dust: and the dust I put in
the stream flowing down from the mountain.
9:21 And I took your sin, the calf which all of you had made, and burnt it
with fire, and stamped it, and ground it very small, even until it was as small
as dust: and I cast the dust thereof into the brook that descended out of the
mount.
9:22 ○ 너희가 다베라와 맛사와 기브롯 핫다아와에서도 여호와를 격노케 하였느니라
9:22 Again at Taberah and at Massah and at Kibroth-hattaavah you made the Lord angry.
9:22 And at Taberah, and at Massah, and at Kibrothhattaavah, all of you provoked
the LORD to wrath.
9:23 여호와께서 너희를 가데스 바네아에서 떠나게 하실 때에 이르시기를 너희는
올라가서 내가 너희에게 준 땅을 얻으라 하시되 너희가 너희 하나님 여호와의 명령을
거역하여 믿지 아니하고 그 말씀을 듣지 아니하였나니
9:23 And when the Lord sent you from Kadesh-barnea, saying, Go up and take the land which
I have given you; you went against the orders of the Lord your God, and had no faith
in him, and would not give ear to his voice.
9:23 Likewise when the LORD sent you from Kadeshbarnea, saying, Go up and
possess the land which I have given you; then all of you rebelled against the
commandment of the LORD your God, and all of you believed him not, nor hearkened
to his voice.
9:24 내가 너희를 알던 날부터 옴으로 너희가 항상 여호와를 거역하였느니라
9:24 From the day when I first had knowledge of you, you have gone against the word of
the Lord.
9:24 All of you have been rebellious against the LORD from the day that I
knew you.
9:25 ○ 그때에 여호와께서 너희를 멸하겠다 하셨으므로 내가 여전히 사십 주야를
여호와 앞에 엎드리고
9:25 So I went down on my face in prayer before the Lord for forty days and forty nights
as I did at first; because the Lord had said that he would put an end to you.
9:25 Thus I fell down before the LORD forty days and forty nights, as I fell
down at the first; because the LORD had said he would destroy you.
9:26 여호와께 간구하여 가로되 주 여호와여 주께서 큰 위엄으로 속하시고 강한
손으로 애굽에서 인도하여 내신 주의 백성 곧 주의 기업을 멸하지 마옵소서
9:26 And I made prayer to the Lord and said, O Lord God, do not send destruction on your
people and your heritage, to whom, by your great power, you have given salvation,
whom you have taken out of Egypt by the strength of your hand.
9:26 I prayed therefore unto the LORD, and said, O Lord GOD, destroy not
your people and yours inheritance, which you have redeemed through your greatness,
which you have brought forth out of Egypt with a mighty hand.
9:27 주의 종 아브라함과 이삭과 야곱을 생각하사 이 백성의 강퍅과 악과 죄를
보지 마옵소서
9:27 Keep in mind your servants, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, not looking at the hard heart
of this people, or their evil-doing and their sin:
9:27 Remember your servants, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob; look not unto the
stubbornness of this people, nor to their wickedness, nor to their sin:
9:28 주께서 우리를 인도하여 내신 그 땅 백성이 말하기를 여호와께서 그들에게
허락하신 땅으로 그들을 인도하여 들일 능력도 없고 그들을 미워도 하사 광야에서
죽이려고 인도하여 내셨다 할까 두려워하나이다
9:28 Or it may be said in the land from which you have taken them, Because the Lord was
not able to take them into the land which he said he would give them, and because
of his hate for them, he has taken them out to put them to death in the waste land.
9:28 Lest the land whence you brought us out say, Because the LORD was not
able to bring them into the land which he promised them, and because he hated
them, he has brought them out to slay them in the wilderness.
9:29 그들은 주의 큰 능력과 펴신 팔로 인도하여 내신 주의 백성 곧 주의 기업이로소이다
하였었노라
9:29 But still they are your people and your heritage, whom you took out by your great
power and by your stretched-out arm.
9:29 Yet they are your people and yours inheritance, which you brought out
by your mighty power and by your stretched out arm.
