11:1 암몬 사람 나하스가 올라와서 길르앗 야베스를 대하여 진 치매 야베스 모든
사람이 나하스에게 이르되 우리와 언약하자 그리하면 우리가 너를 섬기리라
11:1 Then about a month after this, Nahash the Ammonite came up and put his forces in
position for attacking Jabesh-gilead: and all the men of Jabesh said to Nahash,
Make an agreement with us and we will be your servants.
11:1 Then Nahash the Ammonite came up, and encamped against Jabeshgilead: and all the men of Jabesh said unto Nahash, Make a covenant with us, and we will serve you.
11:2 암몬 사람 나하스가 그들에게 이르되 내가 너희 오른 눈을 다 빼어야 너희와
언약하리라 내가 온 이스라엘을 이같이 모욕하리라
11:2 And Nahash the Ammonite said to them, I will make an agreement with you on this
condition, that all your right eyes are put out; so that I may make it a cause of
shame to all Israel.
11:2 And Nahash the Ammonite answered them, On this condition will I make a covenant with you, that I may thrust out all your right eyes, and lay it for a reproach upon all Israel.
11:3 야베스 장로들이 이르되 우리에게 이레 유예를 주어 우리로 이스라엘 온
지경에 사자를 보내게 하라 우리를 구원할 자가 없으면 네게 나아가리라 하니라
11:3 Then the responsible men of Jabesh said to him, Give us seven days, so that we may
send men to every part of Israel: and then, if no one comes to our help, we will
come out to you.
11:3 And the elders of Jabesh said unto him, Give us seven days' respite, that we may send messengers unto all the coasts of Israel: and then, if there be no man to save us, we will come out to you.
11:4 이에 사자가 사울의 기브아에 이르러 이 말을 백성에게 고하매 모든 백성이
소리를 높여 울더니
11:4 So they sent representatives to Saul's town Gibeah, and these gave the news to the
people: and all the people gave themselves to weeping.
11:4 Then came the messengers to Gibeah of Saul, and told the tidings in the ears of the people: and all the people lifted up their voices, and wept.
11:5 마침 사울이 밭에서 소를 몰고 오다가 가로되 백성이 무슨 일로 우느냐 그들이
야베스 사람의 말로 고하니라
11:5 Now Saul came from the field, driving the oxen before him; and he said, Why are
the people weeping? And they gave him word of what the men of Jabesh had said.
11:5 And, behold, Saul came after the herd out of the field; and Saul said, What disturbs the people that they weep? And they told him the tidings of the men of Jabesh.
11:6 ○ 사울이 이 말을 들을 때에 하나님의 신에게 크게 감동되매 그 노가 크게
일어나서
11:6 And at their words, the spirit of God came on Saul with power, and he became very
angry.
11:6 And the Spirit of God came upon Saul when he heard those tidings, and his anger was kindled greatly.
11:7 한 겨리 소를 취하여 각을 뜨고 사자의 손으로 그것을 이스라엘 모든 지경에
두루 보내어 가로되 누구든지 나와서 사울과 사무엘을 좇지 아니하면 그 소들도 이와
같이 하리라 하였더니 여호와의 두려움이 백성에게 임하매 그들이 한 사람 같이 나온지라
11:7 And he took two oxen and, cutting them up, sent them through all the land of Israel
by the hand of runners, saying, If any man does not come out after Saul and Samuel,
this will be done to his oxen. And the fear of the Lord came on the people and they
came out like one man.
11:7 And he took a yoke of oxen, and hewed them in pieces, and sent them throughout all the coasts of Israel by the hands of messengers, saying, Whosoever comes not forth after Saul and after Samuel, so shall it be done unto his oxen. And the fear of the LORD fell on the people, and they came out with one consent.
11:8 사울이 베섹에서 그들을 계수하니 이스라엘 자손이 삼십 만이요 유다 사람이
삼 만이더라
11:8 And he had them numbered in Bezek: the children of Israel were three hundred thousand,
and the men of Judah thirty thousand.
11:8 And when he numbered them in Bezek, the children of Israel were three hundred thousand, and the men of Judah thirty thousand.
11:9 무리가 온 사자들에게 이르되 너희는 길르앗 야베스 사람에게 이같이 이르기를
내일 해가 더울 때에 너희가 구원을 얻으리라 하라 사자들이 돌아가서 야베스 사람들에게
고하매 그들이 기뻐하니라
11:9 Then he said to the representatives who had come, Say to the men of Jabesh-gilead,
Tomorrow, by the time the sun is high, you will be made safe. And the representatives
came and gave the news to the men of Jabesh; and they were glad.
11:9 And they said unto the messengers that came, Thus shall all of you say unto the men of Jabeshgilead, Tomorrow, by that time the sun be hot, all of you shall have help. And the messengers came and showed it to the men of Jabesh; and they were glad.
11:10 야베스 사람들이 이에 가로되 우리가 내일 너희에게 나아가리니 너희 소견에
좋을 대로 우리에게 다 행하라 하니라
11:10 So the men of Jabesh said, Tomorrow we will come out to you, and you may do to us
whatever seems good to you.
11:10 Therefore the men of Jabesh said, Tomorrow we will come out unto you, and all of you shall do with us all that seems good unto you.
11:11 이튿날에 사울이 백성을 삼 대에 나누고 새벽에 적진 중에 들어가서 날이
더울 때까지 암몬 사람을 치매 남은 자가 다 흩어져서 둘도 함께 한 자가 없었더라
11:11 Now on the day after, Saul put the people into three bands, and in the morning watch
they came to the tents of the Ammonites, and they went on attacking them till the
heat of the day: and those who were not put to death were put to flight in every
direction, so that no two of them were together.
11:11 And it was so on the next day, that Saul put the people in three companies; and they came into the midst of the host in the morning watch, and slew the Ammonites until the heat of the day: and it came to pass, that they which remained were scattered, so that two of them were not left together.
11:12 ○ 백성이 사무엘에게 이르되 사울이 어찌 우리를 다스리겠느냐 한 자가
누구니이까 그들을 끌어내소서 우리가 죽이겠나이다
11:12 And the people said to Samuel, Who was it who said, Is Saul to be our king? give
the men up, so that we may put them to death.
11:12 And the people said unto Samuel, Who is he that said, Shall Saul reign over us? bring the men, that we may put them to death.
11:13 사울이 가로되 이 날에는 사람을 죽이지 못하리니 여호와께서 오늘날 이스라엘
중에 구원을 베푸셨음이니라
11:13 And Saul said, Not a man is to be put to death today: for today the Lord has made
Israel safe.
11:13 And Saul said, There shall not a man be put to death this day: in order to day the LORD has wrought salvation in Israel.
11:14 ○ 사무엘이 백성에게 이르되 오라 우리가 길갈로 가서 나라를 새롭게 하자
11:14 Then Samuel said to the people, Come, let us go to Gilgal and there make the kingdom
strong in the hands of Saul.
11:14 Then said Samuel to the people, Come, and let us go to Gilgal, and renew the kingdom there.
11:15 모든 백성이 길갈로 가서 거기서 여호와 앞에 사울로 왕을 삼고 거기서
여호와 앞에 화목제를 드리고 사울과 이스라엘 모든 사람이 거기서 크게 기뻐하니라
11:15 So all the people went to Gilgal; and there in Gilgal they made Saul king before
the Lord; and peace-offerings were offered before the Lord; and there Saul and all
the men of Israel were glad with great joy.
11:15 And all the people went to Gilgal; and there they made Saul king before the LORD in Gilgal; and there they sacrificed sacrifices of peace offerings before the LORD; and there Saul and all the men of Israel rejoiced greatly.
12:1 사무엘이 온 이스라엘에게 이르되 보라 너희가 내게 한 말을 내가 다 듣고
너희 위에 왕을 세웠더니
12:1 And Samuel said to all Israel, You see that I have given ear to everything you said
to me, and have made a king over you.
12:1 And Samuel said unto all Israel, Behold, I have hearkened unto your voice in all that all of you said unto me, and have made a king over you.
12:2 이제 왕이 너희 앞에 출입하느니라 보라 나는 늙어 머리가 희었고 내 아들들도
너희와 함께 있느니라 내가 어려서부터 오늘날까지 너희 앞에 출입하였거니와
12:2 And now, see, the king is before you: and I am old and grey-headed, and my sons
are with you: I have been living before your eyes from my early days till now.
12:2 And now, behold, the king walks before you: and I am old and grayheaded; and, behold, my sons are with you: and I have walked before you from my childhood unto this day.
12:3 내가 여기 있나니 여호와 앞과 그 기름 부음을 받은 자 앞에서 내게 대하여
증거하라 내가 뉘 소를 취하였느냐 뉘 나귀를 취하였느냐 누구를 속였느냐 누구를
압제하였느냐 내 눈을 흐리게 하는 뇌물을 뉘 손에서 취하였느냐 그리하였으면 내가
그것을 너희에게 갚으리라
12:3 Here I am: give witness against me before the Lord and before the man on whom he
has put the holy oil: whose ox or ass have I taken? to whom have I been untrue?
who has been crushed down by me? from whose hand have I taken a price for the blinding
of my eyes? I will give it all back to you.
12:3 Behold, here I am: witness against me before the LORD, and before his anointed: whose ox have I taken? or whose ass have I taken? or whom have I defrauded? whom have I oppressed? or of whose hand have I received any bribe to blind mine eyes therewith? and I will restore it you.
12:4 그들이 가로되 당신이 우리를 속이지 아니하였고 압제하지 아니하였고 뉘
손에서 아무 것도 취한 것이 없나이다
12:4 And they said, You have never been untrue to us or cruel to us; you have taken nothing
from any man.
12:4 And they said, You have not defrauded us, nor oppressed us, neither have you taken ought of any man's hand.
12:5 사무엘이 백성에게 이르되 너희가 내 손에서 아무 것도 찾아낸 것이 없음을
여호와께서 너희에게 대하여 증거하시며 그 기름 부음을 받은 자도 오늘날 증거하느니라
그들이 가로되 그가 증거하시나이다
12:5 Then he said, The Lord is witness against you, and the man on whom he has put the
holy oil is witness this day that you have seen no wrong in me. And they said, He
is witness.
12:5 And he said unto them, The LORD is witness against you, and his anointed is witness this day, that all of you have not found ought in my hand. And they answered, He is witness.
12:6 ○ 사무엘이 백성에게 이르되 모세와 아론을 세우시며 너희 열조를 애굽
땅에서 인도하여 내신 이는 여호와시니
12:6 And Samuel said to the people, The Lord is witness, who gave authority to Moses
and Aaron, and who took your fathers up out of the land of Egypt.
12:6 And Samuel said unto the people, It is the LORD that advanced Moses and Aaron, and that brought your fathers up out of the land of Egypt.
12:7 그런즉 가만히 섰으라 여호와께서 너희와 너희 열조에게 행하신 모든 의로운
일에 대하여 내가 여호와 앞에서 너희와 담론하리라
12:7 Keep your places now, while I take up the argument with you before the Lord, and
give you the story of the righteousness of the Lord, which he has made clear by
his acts to you and to your fathers.
12:7 Now therefore stand still, that I may reason with you before the LORD of all the righteous acts of the LORD, which he did to you and to your fathers.
12:8 야곱이 애굽에 들어간 후 너희 열조가 여호와께 부르짖으매 여호와께서 모세와
아론을 보내사 그 두 사람으로 너희 열조를 애굽에서 인도하여 내어 이곳에 거하게
하셨으나
12:8 When Jacob and his sons had come into Egypt, and were crushed by the Egyptians,
the prayers of your fathers came up to the Lord, and the Lord sent Moses and Aaron,
who took your fathers out of Egypt, and he put them into this place.
12:8 When Jacob was come into Egypt, and your fathers cried unto the LORD, then the LORD sent Moses and Aaron, which brought forth your fathers out of Egypt, and made them dwell in this place.
12:9 그들이 그 하나님 여호와를 잊은지라 여호와께서 그들을 하솔 군장 시스라의
손과 블레셋 사람의 손과 모압 왕의 손에 붙이셨더니 그들이 치매
12:9 But they were false to the Lord their God, and he gave them up into the hands of
Sisera, captain of the army of Jabin, king of Hazor, and into the hands of the Philistines,
and into the hands of the king of Moab, who made war against them.
12:9 And when they forgotten about the LORD their God, he sold them into the hand of Sisera, captain of the host of Hazor, and into the hand of the Philistines, and into the hand of the king of Moab, and they fought against them.
12:10 백성이 여호와께 부르짖어 가로되 우리가 여호와를 버리고 바알들과 아스다롯을
섬기므로 범죄하였나이다 그러하오나 이제 우리를 원수들의 손에서 건져내소서 그리하시면
우리가 주를 섬기겠나이다 하매
12:10 Then crying out to the Lord, they said, We have done evil, because we have been
turned away from the Lord, worshipping the Baals and the Astartes: but now, make
us safe from those who are against us and we will be your servants.
12:10 And they cried unto the LORD, and said, We have sinned, because we have forsaken the LORD, and have served Baalim and Ashtaroth: but now deliver us out of the hand of our enemies, and we will serve you.
12:11 여호와께서 여룹바알과 베단과 입다와 나 사무엘을 보내사 너희를 너희
사방 원수의 손에서 건져내사 너희로 안전히 거하게 하셨거늘
12:11 So the Lord sent Jerubbaal and Barak and Jephthah and Samuel and took you out of
the power of those who were fighting against you on every side, and made you safe.
12:11 And the LORD sent Jerubbaal, and Bedan, and Jephthah, and Samuel, and delivered you out of the hand of your enemies on every side, and all of you dwelled safe.
12:12 너희가 암몬 자손의 왕 나하스의 너희를 치러 옴을 보고 너희 하나님 여호와께서는
너희의 왕이 되실지라도 너희가 내게 이르기를 아니라 우리를 다스릴 왕이 있어야
하겠다 하였도다
12:12 And when you saw that Nahash, the king of the Ammonites, was coming against you,
you said to me, No more of this; we will have a king for our ruler: when the Lord
your God was your king.
12:12 And when all of you saw that Nahash the king of the children of Ammon came against you, all of you said unto me, Nay; but a king shall reign over us: when the LORD your God was your king.
12:13 이제 너희의 구한 왕, 너희의 택한 왕을 보라 여호와께서 너희 위에 왕을
세우셨느니라
12:13 Here, then, is the king marked out by you: the Lord has put a king over you.
12:13 Now therefore behold the king whom all of you have chosen, and whom all of you have desired! and, behold, the LORD has set a king over you.
12:14 너희가 만일 여호와를 경외하여 그를 섬기며 그 목소리를 듣고 여호와의
명령을 거역하지 아니하며 또 너희와 너희를 다스리는 왕이 너희 하나님 여호와를
좇으면 좋으니라마는
12:14 If in the fear of the Lord you are his servants, hearing his voice and not going
against the orders of the Lord, but being true to the Lord your God, you and the
king ruling over you, then all will be well:
12:14 If all of you will fear the LORD, and serve him, and obey his voice, and not rebel against the commandment of the LORD, then shall both all of you and also the king that reigns over you continue following the LORD your God:
12:15 너희가 만일 여호와의 목소리를 듣지 아니하고 여호와의 명령을 거역하면
여호와의 손이 너희의 열조를 치신 것 같이 너희를 치실 것이라
12:15 But if you do not give ear to the voice of the Lord, but go against his orders,
then the hand of the Lord will be against you and against your king for your destruction,
as it was against your fathers.
12:15 But if all of you will not obey the voice of the LORD, but rebel against the commandment of the LORD, then shall the hand of the LORD be against you, as it was against your fathers.
12:16 너희는 이제 가만히 서서 여호와께서 너희 목전에 행하시는 이 큰 일을
보라
12:16 Now keep where you are and see this great thing which the Lord will do before your
eyes.
12:16 Now therefore stand and see this great thing, which the LORD will do before your eyes.
12:17 오늘은 밀 베는 때가 아니냐 내가 여호와께 아뢰리니 여호와께서 우뢰와
비를 보내사 너희가 왕을 구한 일 곧 여호와의 목전에 범한 죄악이 큼을 너희로 밝히
알게 하시리라
12:17 Is it not now the time of the grain cutting? My cry will go up to the Lord and he
will send thunder and rain: so that you may see and be conscious of your great sin
which you have done in the eyes of the Lord in desiring a king for yourselves.
12:17 Is it not wheat harvest to day? I will call unto the LORD, and he shall send thunder and rain; that all of you may perceive and see that your wickedness is great, which all of you have done in the sight of the LORD, in asking you a king.
12:18 이에 사무엘이 여호와께 아뢰매 여호와께서 그 날에 우뢰와 비를 보내시니
모든 백성이 여호와와 사무엘을 크게 두려워하니라
12:18 So Samuel made prayer to the Lord; and the Lord sent thunder and rain that day:
and all the people were in fear of the Lord and of Samuel.
12:18 So Samuel called unto the LORD; and the LORD sent thunder and rain that day: and all the people greatly feared the LORD and Samuel.
12:19 ○ 모든 백성이 사무엘에게 이르되 당신의 종들을 위하여 당신의 하나님
여호와께 기도하여 우리로 죽지 않게 하소서 우리가 우리의 모든 죄에 왕을 구하는
악을 더하였나이다
12:19 And all the people said to Samuel, Make prayer for us to the Lord your God so that
death may not overtake us: for in addition to all our sins we have done this evil,
in desiring a king.
12:19 And all the people said unto Samuel, Pray for your servants unto the LORD your God, that we die not: for we have added unto all our sins this evil, to ask us a king.
12:20 사무엘이 백성에게 이르되 두려워 말라 너희가 과연 이 모든 악을 행하였으나
여호와를 좇는 데서 돌이키지 말고 오직 너희 마음을 다하여 여호와를 섬기라
12:20 Then Samuel said to the people, Have no fear: truly you have done evil, but do not
be turned away from the Lord; be his servants with all your heart;
12:20 And Samuel said unto the people, Fear not: all of you have done all this wickedness: yet turn not aside from following the LORD, but serve the LORD with all your heart;
12:21 돌이켜 유익하게도 못하며 구원하지도 못하는 헛된 것을 좇지 말라 그들은
헛되니라
12:21 And do not go from the right way turning to those false gods in which there is no
profit and no salvation, for they are false.
12:21 And turn all of you not aside: for then should all of you go after vain things, which cannot profit nor deliver; for they are vain.
12:22 여호와께서는 너희로 자기 백성 삼으신 것을 기뻐하신 고로 그 크신 이름을
인하여 자기 백성을 버리지 아니하실 것이요
12:22 For the Lord will not give his people up, because of the honour of his name; for
it was the Lord's pleasure to make of you a people for himself.
12:22 For the LORD will not forsake his people for his great name's sake: because it has pleased the LORD to make you his people.
12:23 나는 너희를 위하여 기도하기를 쉬는 죄를 여호와 앞에 결단코 범치 아니하고
선하고 의로운 도로 너희를 가르칠 것인즉
12:23 And as for me, never will I go against the orders of the Lord by giving up my prayers
for you: but I will go on teaching you the good and right way.
12:23 Moreover as for me, God forbid that I should sin against the LORD in ceasing to pray for you: but I will teach you the good and the right way:
12:24 너희는 여호와께서 너희를 위하여 행하신 그 큰 일을 생각하여 오직 그를
경외하며 너희의 마음을 다하여 진실히 섬기라
12:24 Only go in the fear of the Lord, and be his true servants with all your heart, keeping
in mind what great things he has done for you.
12:24 Only fear the LORD, and serve him in truth with all your heart: for consider how great things he has done for you.
12:25 만일 너희가 여전히 악을 행하면 너희와 너희 왕이 다 멸망하리라
12:25 But if you still do evil, destruction will overtake you and your king.
12:25 But if all of you shall still do wickedly, all of you shall be consumed, both all of you and your king.
13:1 사울이 왕이 될 때에 사십 세라 그가 이스라엘을 다스린 지 이 년에
13:1 ***
13:1 Saul reigned one year; and when he had reigned two years over Israel,
13:2 이스라엘 사람 삼천을 택하여 그 중에서 이천은 자기와 함께 믹마스와 벧엘
산에 있게 하고 일천은 요나단과 함께 베냐민 기브아에 있게 하고 남은 백성은 각기
장막으로 보내니라
13:2 And Saul took for himself three thousand men of Israel, of whom he kept two thousand
with him in Michmash and in the mountain of Beth-el, and a thousand were with Jonathan
in Gibeah in the land of Benjamin: the rest of the people he sent back to their
tents.
13:2 Saul chose him three thousand men of Israel; whereof two thousand were with Saul in Michmash and in mount Bethel, and a thousand were with Jonathan in Gibeah of Benjamin: and the rest of the people he sent every man to his tent.
13:3 요나단이 게바에 있는 블레셋 사람의 수비대를 치매 블레셋 사람이 이를
들은지라 사울이 온 땅에 나팔을 불어 이르되 히브리 사람들은 들으라 하니
13:3 And Jonathan made an attack on the armed force of the Philistines stationed at Gibeah;
and news was given to the Philistines that the Hebrews were turned against them.
And Saul had a horn sounded through all the land,
13:3 And Jonathan stroke the garrison of the Philistines that was in Geba, and the Philistines heard of it. And Saul blew the trumpet throughout all the land, saying, Let the Hebrews hear.
13:4 온 이스라엘이 사울의 블레셋 사람의 수비대를 친 것과 이스라엘이 블레셋
사람의 가증히 여김이 되었다 함을 듣고 길갈로 모여 사울을 좇으니라
13:4 And all Israel had the news that Saul had made an attack on the Philistines, and
that Israel was bitterly hated by the Philistines. And the people came together
after Saul to Gilgal.
13:4 And all Israel heard say that Saul had smitten a garrison of the Philistines, and that Israel also was had in abomination with the Philistines. And the people were called together after Saul to Gilgal.
13:5 ○ 블레셋 사람이 이스라엘과 싸우려 하여 모였는데 병거가 삼만이요 마병이
육천이요 백성은 해변의 모래 같이 많더라 그들이 올라와서 벧아웬 동편 믹마스에
진 치매
13:5 And the Philistines came together to make war on Israel, three thousand war-carriages
and six thousand horsemen and an army of people like the sands of the sea in number:
they came up and took up their position in Michmash, to the east of Beth-aven.
13:5 And the Philistines gathered themselves together to fight with Israel, thirty thousand chariots, and six thousand horsemen, and people as the sand which is on the sea shore in multitude: and they came up, and pitched in Michmash, eastward from Bethaven.
13:6 이스라엘 사람들이 위급함을 보고 절박하여 굴과 수풀과 바위 틈과 은밀한
곳과 웅덩이에 숨으며
13:6 When the men of Israel saw the danger they were in, (for the people were troubled,)
they took cover in cracks in the hillsides and in the woods and in rocks and holes
and hollows.
13:6 When the men of Israel saw that they were in a strait, (for the people were distressed,) then the people did hide themselves in caves, and in thickets, and in rocks, and in high places, and in pits.
13:7 어떤 히브리 사람들은 요단을 건너 갓과 길르앗 땅으로 가되 사울은 아직
길갈에 있고 그를 좇은 모든 백성은 떨더라
13:7 And a great number of the people had gone over Jordan to the land of Gad and Gilead;
but Saul was still in Gilgal, and all the people went after him shaking in fear.
13:7 And some of the Hebrews went over Jordan to the land of Gad and Gilead. As for Saul, he was yet in Gilgal, and all the people followed him trembling.
13:8 ○ 사울이 사무엘의 정한 기한대로 이레를 기다리되 사무엘이 길갈로 오지
아니하매 백성이 사울에게서 흩어지는지라
13:8 And he went on waiting there for seven days, the time fixed by Samuel: but Samuel
did not come to Gilgal; and the people were starting to go away from him.
13:8 And he tarried seven days, according to the set time that Samuel had appointed: but Samuel came not to Gilgal; and the people were scattered from him.
13:9 사울이 가로되 번제와 화목 제물을 이리로 가져오라 하여 번제를 드렸더니
13:9 Then Saul said, Come here and give me the burned offering and the peace-offerings.
And he made a burned offering to the Lord.
13:9 And Saul said, Bring here a burnt offering to me, and peace offerings. And he offered the burnt offering.
13:10 번제 드리기를 필하자 사무엘이 온지라 사울이 나가 맞으며 문안하매
13:10 And when the burned offering was ended, Samuel came; and Saul went out to see him
and to give him a blessing.
13:10 And it came to pass, that as soon as he had made an end of offering the burnt offering, behold, Samuel came; and Saul went out to meet him, that he might salute him.
13:11 사무엘이 가로되 왕의 행한 것이 무엇이뇨 사울이 가로되 백성은 나에게서
흩어지고 당신은 정한 날 안에 오지 아니하고 블레셋 사람은 믹마스에 모였음을 내가
보았으므로
13:11 And Samuel said, What have you done? And Saul said, Because I saw that the people
were going away from me, and you had not come at the time which had been fixed,
and the Philistines had come together at Michmash;
13:11 And Samuel said, What have you done? And Saul said, Because I saw that the people were scattered from me, and that you came not within the days appointed, and that the Philistines gathered themselves together at Michmash;
13:12 이에 내가 이르기를 블레셋 사람은 나를 치러 길갈로 내려오겠거늘 내가
여호와께 은혜를 간구치 못하였다 하고 부득이하여 번제를 드렸나이다
13:12 I said, Now the Philistines will come down on me at Gilgal, and I have made no prayer
for help to the Lord: and so, forcing myself to do it, I made a burned offering.
13:12 Therefore said I, The Philistines will come down now upon me to Gilgal, and I have not made supplication unto the LORD: I forced myself therefore, and offered a burnt offering.
13:13 사무엘이 사울에게 이르되 왕이 망령되이 행하였도다 왕이 왕의 하나님
여호와께서 왕에게 명하신 명령을 지키지 아니하였도다 그리하였더면 여호와께서
이스라엘 위에 왕의 나라를 영영히 세우셨을 것이어늘
13:13 And Samuel said to Saul, You have done a foolish thing: you have not kept the rules
which the Lord your God gave you; it was the purpose of the Lord to make your authority
over Israel safe for ever.
13:13 And Samuel said to Saul, You have done foolishly: you have not kept the commandment of the LORD your God, which he commanded you: for now would the LORD have established your kingdom upon Israel for ever.
13:14 지금은 왕의 나라가 길지 못할 것이라 여호와께서 왕에게 명하신 바를 왕이
지키지 아니하였으므로 여호와께서 그 마음에 맞는 사람을 구하여 그 백성의 지도자를
삼으셨느니라 하고
13:14 But now, your authority will not go on: the Lord, searching for a man who is pleasing
to him in every way, has given him the place of ruler over his people, because you
have not done what the Lord gave you orders to do.
13:14 But now your kingdom shall not continue: the LORD has sought him a man after his own heart, and the LORD has commanded him to be captain over his people, because you have not kept that which the LORD commanded you.
13:15 사무엘이 일어나 길갈에서 떠나 베냐민 기브아로 올라가니라 ○ 사울이
자기와 함께 한 백성을 계수하니 육백 명 가량이라
13:15 Then Samuel went up from Gilgal and the rest of the people went up after Saul against
the men of war, and they came from Gilgal to Gibeah in the land of Benjamin: and
Saul took the number of the people who were with him, about six hundred men.
13:15 And Samuel arose, and got him up from Gilgal unto Gibeah of Benjamin. And Saul numbered the people that were present with him, about six hundred men.
13:16 사울과 그 아들 요나단과 그들과 함께 한 백성은 베냐민 게바에 있고 블레셋
사람은 믹마스에 진 쳤더니
13:16 And Saul, with Jonathan his son and the people who were with them, was waiting in
Geba in the land of Benjamin: but the tents of the Philistines were in Michmash.
13:16 And Saul, and Jonathan his son, and the people that were present with them, abode in Gibeah of Benjamin: but the Philistines encamped in Michmash.
13:17 노략군들이 삼 대로 블레셋 사람의 진에서 나와서 한 대는 오브라 길로 말미암아
수알 땅에 이르렀고
13:17 And three bands of men came out from the Philistines to make an attack; one band
went by the road which goes to Ophrah, into the land of Shual:
13:17 And the spoilers came out of the camp of the Philistines in three companies: one company turned unto the way that leads to Ophrah, unto the land of Shual:
13:18 한 대는 벧호론 길로 향하였고 한 대는 광야를 향한 스보임 골짜기가 내려다
보이는 지경 길로 향하였더라
13:18 And another went in the direction of Beth-horon: and another went by the hill looking
down on the valley of Zeboiim, in the direction of the waste land.
13:18 And another company turned the way to Bethhoron: and another company turned to the way of the border that looks to the valley of Zeboim toward the wilderness.
13:19 ○ 때에 이스라엘 온 땅에 철공이 없어졌으니 이는 블레셋 사람이 말하기를
히브리 사람이 칼이나 창을 만들까 두렵다 하였음이라
13:19 Now there was no iron-worker in all the land of Israel: for the Philistines said,
For fear the Hebrews make themselves swords or spears:
13:19 Now there was no smith found throughout all the land of Israel: for the Philistines said, Lest the Hebrews make them swords or spears:
13:20 온 이스라엘 사람이 각기 보습이나 삽이나 도끼나 괭이를 벼리려면 블레셋
사람에게로 내려갔었는데
13:20 But all the Israelites had to go to the Philistines to get their ploughs and blades
and axes and hooks made sharp;
13:20 But all the Israelites went down to the Philistines, to sharpen every man his share, and his coulter, and his axe, and his mattock.
13:21 곧 그들이 괭이나 삽이나 쇠스랑이나 도끼나 쇠채찍이 무딜 때에 그리하였으므로
13:21 For they had instruments for putting an edge on their ploughs and blades and forks
and axes, and for putting iron points on their ox-driving rods.
13:21 Yet they had a file for the mattocks, and for the coulters, and for the forks, and for the axes, and to sharpen the goads.
13:22 싸우는 날에 사울과 요나단과 함께 한 백성의 손에는 칼이나 창이 없고
오직 사울과 그 아들 요나단에게만 있으니라
13:22 So on the day of the fight at Michmash, not a sword or a spear was to be seen in
the hands of any of the people with Saul and Jonathan: only Saul and his son Jonathan
had them.
13:22 So it came to pass in the day of battle, that there was neither sword nor spear found in the hand of any of the people that were with Saul and Jonathan: but with Saul and with Jonathan his son was there found.
13:23 블레셋 사람의 부대가 나와서 믹마스 어귀에 이르렀더라
13:23 And the armed force of the Philistines went out to the narrow way of Michmash.
13:23 And the garrison of the Philistines went out to the passage of Michmash.
14:1 하루는 사울의 아들 요나단이 자기 병기를 든 소년에게 이르되 우리가 건너편
블레셋 사람의 부대에게로 건너가자 하고 그 아비에게는 고하지 아니하였더라
14:1 Now one day Jonathan, the son of Saul, said to the young man who was with him, looking
after his arms, Come, let us go over to the Philistine force over there. But he
said nothing to his father.
14:1 Now it came to pass on a day, that Jonathan the son of Saul said unto the young man that bare his armour, Come, and let us go over to the Philistines' garrison, that is on the other side. But he told not his father.
14:2 사울이 기브아 변경 미그론에 있는 석류나무 아래 머물렀고 함께 한 백성은
육백 명 가량이며
14:2 And Saul was still waiting in the farthest part of Geba, under the fruit-tree in
Migron: there were about six hundred men with him;
14:2 And Saul tarried in the uttermost part of Gibeah under a pomegranate tree which is in Migron: and the people that were with him were about six hundred men;
14:3 아히야는 에봇을 입고 거기 있었으니 그는 이가봇의 형제 아히둡의 아들이요
비느하스의 손자요 실로에서 여호와의 제사장이 되었던 엘리의 증손이었더라 백성은
요나단의 간 줄을 알지 못하니라
14:3 And Ahijah, the son of Ahitub, brother of Ichabod, the son of Phinehas, the son
of Eli, the priest of the Lord in Shiloh, who had the ephod. And the people had
no idea that Jonathan had gone.
14:3 And Ahiah, the son of Ahitub, Ichabod's brother, the son of Phinehas, the son of Eli, the LORD's priest in Shiloh, wearing an ephod. And the people knew not that Jonathan was gone.
14:4 요나단이 블레셋 사람의 부대에게로 건너가려 하는 어귀 사이 이편에도 험한
바위가 있고 저편에도 험한 바위가 있는데 하나의 이름은 보세스요 하나의 이름은
세네라
14:4 Now between the narrow roads over the mountains by which Jonathan was making his
way to the Philistines' forces, there was a sharp overhanging rock on one side,
and a sharp rock on the other side: one was named Bozez and the other Seneh.
14:4 And between the passages, by which Jonathan sought to go over unto the Philistines' garrison, there was a sharp rock on the one side, and a sharp rock on the other side: and the name of the one was Bozez, and the name of the other Seneh.
14:5 한 바위는 북에서 믹마스 앞에 일어섰고 하나는 남에서 게바 앞에 일어섰더라
14:5 The one rock went up on the north in front of Michmash and the other on the south
in front of Geba.
14:5 The forefront of the one was situated northward opposite to Michmash, and the other southward opposite to Gibeah.
14:6 ○ 요나단이 자기 병기 든 소년에게 이르되 우리가 이 할례 없는 자들의
부대에게로 건너가자 여호와께서 우리를 위하여 일하실까 하노라 여호와의 구원은
사람의 많고 적음에 달리지 아니하였느니라
14:6 And Jonathan said to his young servant who had his arms, Come, let us go over to
the armies of these men who have no circumcision: it may be that the Lord will give
us help, for there is no limit to his power; the Lord is able to give salvation
by a great army or by a small band.
14:6 And Jonathan said to the young man that bare his armour, Come, and let us go over unto the garrison of these uncircumcised: it may be that the LORD will work for us: for there is no restraint to the LORD to save by many or by few.
14:7 병기 든 자가 그에게 이르되 당신의 마음에 있는 대로 다 행하여 앞서 가소서
내가 당신과 마음을 같이 하여 따르리이다
14:7 And his servant said to him, Do whatever is in your mind: see, I am with you in
every impulse of your heart.
14:7 And his armour bearer said unto him, Do all that is in yours heart: turn you; behold, I am with you according to your heart.
14:8 요나단이 가로되 보라 우리가 그 사람들에게로 건너가서 그들에게 보이리니
14:8 Then Jonathan said, Now we will go over to these men and let them see us.
14:8 Then said Jonathan, Behold, we will pass over unto these men, and we will discover ourselves unto them.
14:9 그들이 만일 이같이 우리에게 이르기를 우리가 너희에게로 가기를 기다리라
하면 우리는 우리 곳에 가만히 서서 그들에게로 올라가지 말 것이요
14:9 If they say to us, Keep quiet where you are till we come to you; then we will keep
our places and not go up to them.
14:9 If they say thus unto us, Tarry until we come to you; then we will stand still in our place, and will not go up unto them.
14:10 그들이 만일 이같이 말하기를 우리에게로 올라오라 하면 우리가 올라갈
것은 여호와께서 그들을 우리 손에 붙이셨음이니 이것이 우리에게 표징이 되리라
하고
14:10 But if they say, Come up to us; then we will go up, for the Lord has given them
into our hands: and this will be the sign to us.
14:10 But if they say thus, Come up unto us; then we will go up: for the LORD has delivered them into our hand: and this shall be a sign unto us.
14:11 둘이 다 블레셋 사람의 부대에게 보이매 블레셋 사람이 가로되 보라 히브리
사람이 그 숨었던 구멍에서 나온다 하고
14:11 And they let the Philistine force see the two of them: and the Philistines said,
Look! the Hebrews are coming out of the holes where they have taken cover.
14:11 And both of them discovered themselves unto the garrison of the Philistines: and the Philistines said, Behold, the Hebrews come forth out of the holes where they had hid themselves.
14:12 그 부대 사람들이 요나단과 그 병기 든 자를 대하여 가로되 우리에게로
올라오라 너희에게 한 일을 보이리라 한지라 요나단이 자기 병기 든 자에게 이르되
나를 따라 올라오라 여호와께서 그들을 이스라엘의 손에 붙이셨느니라 하고
14:12 And the armed men of the force gave Jonathan and his servant their answer, saying,
Come up here to us, and we will let you see something. Then Jonathan said to his
servant, Come up after me: for the Lord has given them up into the hands of Israel.
14:12 And the men of the garrison answered Jonathan and his armour bearer, and said, Come up to us, and we will show you a thing. And Jonathan said unto his armour bearer, Come up after me: for the LORD has delivered them into the hand of Israel.
14:13 요나단이 손 발로 붙잡고 올라갔고 그 병기 든 자도 따랐더라 블레셋 사람들이
요나단 앞에서 엎드러지매 병기 든 자가 따라가며 죽였으니
14:13 And Jonathan went up, gripping with his hands and his feet, his servant going up
after him; and the Philistines gave way before Jonathan when he made an attack on
them, and his servant put them to death after him.
14:13 And Jonathan climbed up upon his hands and upon his feet, and his armour bearer after him: and they fell before Jonathan; and his armour bearer slew after him.
14:14 요나단과 그 병기 든 자가 반일경 지단 안에서 처음으로 도륙한 자가 이십
인 가량이라
14:14 And at their first attack, Jonathan and his servant put to the sword about twenty
men, all inside the space of half an acre of land.
14:14 And that first slaughter, which Jonathan and his armour bearer made, was about twenty men, within as it were an half acre of land, which a yoke of oxen might plow.
14:15 들에 있는 진과 모든 백성 중에 떨림이 일어났고 부대와 노략군들도 떨었으며
땅도 진동하였으니 이는 큰 떨림이었더라
14:15 And there was great fear in the tents and in the field and among all the men of
the armed force, and the attackers were shaking with fear; even the earth was moved
with a great shaking and there was a fear as from God.
14:15 And there was trembling in the host, in the field, and among all the people: the garrison, and the spoilers, they also trembled, and the earth quaked: so it was a very great trembling.
14:16 ○ 베냐민 기브아에 있는 사울의 파숫군이 바라본즉 허다한 블레셋 사람이
무너져 이리저리 흩어지더라
14:16 And the watchmen of Saul, looking out from Geba in the land of Benjamin, saw all
the army flowing away and running here and there.
14:16 And the watchmen of Saul in Gibeah of Benjamin looked; and, behold, the multitude melted away, and they went on beating down one another.
14:17 사울이 자기와 함께 한 백성에게 이르되 우리에게서 누가 나갔는지 점고하여
보라 하고 점고한즉 요나단과 그의 병기 든 자가 없어졌더라
14:17 Then Saul said to the people who were with him, Let everyone be numbered and let
us see who has gone from us. And when they had been numbered, it was seen that Jonathan
and his servant were not there.
14:17 Then said Saul unto the people that were with him, Number now, and see who is gone from us. And when they had numbered, behold, Jonathan and his armour bearer were not there.
14:18 사울이 아히야에게 이르되 하나님의 궤를 이리로 가져오라 하니 그 때에
하나님의 궤가 이스라엘 자손과 함께 있음이라
14:18 And Saul said to Ahijah, Let the ephod come here. For he went before Israel with
the ephod at that time.
14:18 And Saul said unto Ahiah, Bring here the ark of God. For the ark of God was at that time with the children of Israel.
14:19 사울이 제사장에게 말할 때에 블레셋 사람의 진에 소동이 점점 더한지라
사울이 제사장에게 이르되 네 손을 거두라 하고
14:19 Now while Saul was talking to the priest, the noise in the tents of the Philistines
became louder and louder; and Saul said to the priest, Take back your hand.
14:19 And it came to pass, while Saul talked unto the priest, that the noise that was in the host of the Philistines went on and increased: and Saul said unto the priest, Withdraw yours hand.
14:20 사울과 그와 함께 한 모든 백성이 모여 전장에 가서 본즉 블레셋 사람이
각각 칼로 그 동무를 치므로 크게 혼란하였더라
14:20 And Saul and all the people with him came together and went forward to the fight:
and every man's sword was turned against the man at his side, and there was a very
great noise.
14:20 And Saul and all the people that were with him assembled themselves, and they came to the battle: and, behold, every man's sword was against his fellow, and there was a very great discomfiture.
14:21 전에 블레셋 사람과 함께 하던 히브리 사람이 사방에서 블레셋 사람과 함께
와서 진에 들어왔더니 그들이 돌이켜 사울과 요나단과 함께 한 이스라엘 사람과 합하였고
14:21 Then the Hebrews who had been with the Philistines for some time, and had gone up
with them to their tents, turning round were joined to those who were with Saul
and Jonathan.
14:21 Moreover the Hebrews that were with the Philistines before that time, which went up with them into the camp from the country round about, even they also turned to be with the Israelites that were with Saul and Jonathan.
14:22 에브라임 산지에 숨었던 이스라엘 모든 사람도 블레셋 사람의 도망함을
듣고 싸우러 나와서 그들을 추격하였더라
14:22 And all the men of Israel who had taken cover in the hill-country of Ephraim, hearing
that the Philistines had been put to flight, went after them, attacking them.
14:22 Likewise all the men of Israel which had hid themselves in mount Ephraim, when they heard that the Philistines fled, even they also followed hard after them in the battle.
14:23 여호와께서 그 날에 이스라엘을 구원하시므로 전쟁이 벧아웬을 지나니라
14:23 So the Lord made Israel safe that day: and the fight went over to Beth-aven.
14:23 So the LORD saved Israel that day: and the battle passed over unto Bethaven.
14:24 ○ 이 날에 이스라엘 백성이 피곤하였으니 이는 사울이 백성에게 맹세시켜
경계하여 이르기를 저녁 곧 내가 내 원수에게 보수하는 때까지 아무 식물이든지 먹는
사람은 저주를 받을지어다 하였음이라 그러므로 백성이 식물을 맛보지 못하고
14:24 And all the people were with Saul, about twenty thousand men, and the fight was
general through all the hill-country of Ephraim; but Saul made a great error that
day, by putting the people under an oath, saying, Let that man be cursed who takes
food before evening comes and I have given punishment to those who are against me.
So the people had not a taste of food.
14:24 And the men of Israel were distressed that day: for Saul had adjured the people, saying, Cursed be the man that eats any food until evening, that I may be avenged on mine enemies. So none of the people tasted any food.
14:25 그들이 다 수풀에 들어간즉 땅에 꿀이 있더라
14:25 And there was honey on the face of the field, and all the people came to the honey,
the bees having gone from it;
14:25 And all they of the land came to a wood; and there was honey upon the ground.
14:26 백성이 수풀로 들어갈 때에 꿀이 흐르는 것을 보고도 그들이 맹세를 두려워하여
손을 그 입에 대는 자가 없으나
14:26 But not a man put his hand to his mouth for fear of the curse.
14:26 And when the people were come into the wood, behold, the honey dropped; but no man put his hand to his mouth: for the people feared the oath.
14:27 요나단은 그 아비가 맹세로 백성에게 명할 때에 듣지 못하였으므로 손에
가진 지팡이 끝을 내밀어 꿀을 찍고 그 손을 돌이켜 입에 대매 눈이 밝아졌더라
14:27 But Jonathan, having no knowledge of the oath his father had put on the people,
stretching out the rod which was in his hand, put the end of it in the honey, and
put it to his mouth; then his eyes were made bright.
14:27 But Jonathan heard not when his father charged the people with the oath: wherefore he put forth the end of the rod that was in his hand, and dipped it in an honeycomb, and put his hand to his mouth; and his eyes were enlightened.
14:28 때에 백성 중 하나가 고하여 가로되 당신의 부친이 맹세로 백성에게 엄히
명하여 말씀하시기를 오늘날 식물을 먹는 사람은 저주를 받을지어다 하셨나이다 그러므로
백성이 피곤하였나이다
14:28 Then one of the people said to him, Your father put the people under an oath, saying,
Let that man be cursed who takes any food this day. And the people were feeble,
needing food.
14:28 Then answered one of the people, and said, Your father strictly charged the people with an oath, saying, Cursed be the man that eats any food this day. And the people were faint.
14:29 요나단이 가로되 내 부친이 이 땅으로 곤란케 하셨도다 보라 내가 이 꿀
조금을 맛보고도 내 눈이 이렇게 밝았거든
14:29 Then Jonathan said, My father has made trouble come on the land: now see how bright
my eyes have become because I have taken a little of this honey.
14:29 Then said Jonathan, My father has troubled the land: see, I pray you, how mine eyes have been enlightened, because I tasted a little of this honey.
14:30 하물며 백성이 오늘 그 대적에게서 탈취하여 얻은 것을 임의로 먹었더면
블레셋 사람을 살륙함이 더욱 많지 아니하였겠느냐
14:30 How much more if the people had freely taken their food from the goods of those
who were fighting against them! would there not have been much greater destruction
among the Philistines?
14:30 How much more, if lest by any means the people had eaten freely to day of the spoil of their enemies which they found? for had there not been now a much greater slaughter among the Philistines?
14:31 ○ 그 날에 백성이 믹마스에서부터 아얄론에 이르기까지 블레셋 사람을
쳤으므로 그들이 심히 피곤한지라
14:31 That day they overcame the Philistines from Michmash to Aijalon: and the people
were feeble from need of food.
14:31 And they stroke the Philistines that day from Michmash to Aijalon: and the people were very faint.
14:32 백성이 이에 탈취한 물건에 달려가서 양과 소와 송아지들을 취하고 그것을
땅에서 잡아 피 있는 채 먹었더니
14:32 And rushing at the goods taken in the fight, the people took oxen and sheep and
young oxen, and put them to death there on the earth, and had a meal, taking the
flesh with the blood in it.
14:32 And the people flew upon the spoil, and took sheep, and oxen, and calves, and slew them on the ground: and the people did eat them with the blood.
14:33 무리가 사울에게 고하여 가로되 보소서 백성이 고기를 피 채 먹어 여호와께
범죄하였나이다 사울이 가로되 너희가 무신하게 행하였도다 이제 큰 돌을 내게로
굴려 오라 하고
14:33 Then it was said to Saul, See, the people are sinning against the Lord, taking the
blood with the flesh. And he said to those who gave him the news, Now let a great
stone be rolled to me here.
14:33 Then they told Saul, saying, Behold, the people sin against the LORD, in that they eat with the blood. And he said, All of you have transgressed: roll a great stone unto me this day.
14:34 또 가로되 너희는 백성 중에 흩어져 다니며 이르기를 사람은 각기 소와
각기 양을 이리로 끌어다가 잡아 먹되 피 있는 채 먹어서 여호와께 범죄하지 말라
하매 그 밤에 모든 백성이 각각 자기의 소를 끌어다가 거기서 잡으니라
14:34 And Saul said, Go about among the people and say to them, Let every man come here
to me with his ox and his sheep, and put them to death here, and take his meal:
do no sin against the Lord by taking the blood with the flesh. So all the people
took their oxen with them that night and put them to death there.
14:34 And Saul said, Disperse yourselves among the people, and say unto them, Bring me here every man his ox, and every man his sheep, and slay them here, and eat; and sin not against the LORD in eating with the blood. And all the people brought every man his ox with him that night, and slew them there.
14:35 사울이 여호와를 위하여 단을 쌓았으니 이는 그가 여호와를 위하여 처음
쌓은 단이었더라
14:35 And Saul put up an altar to the Lord: this was the first altar which he put up to
the Lord.
14:35 And Saul built an altar unto the LORD: the same was the first altar that he built unto the LORD.
14:36 ○ 사울이 가로되 우리가 밤에 블레셋 사람을 쫓아 내려가서 동틀 때까지
그들 중에서 탈취하고 한 사람도 남기지 말자 무리가 가로되 왕의 소견에 좋은 대로
하소서 할 때에 제사장이 가로되 이리로 와서 하나님께로 나아가사이다 하매
14:36 And Saul said, Let us go down after the Philistines by night, attacking them till
the morning, till there is not a man of them living. And they said, Do whatever
seems right to you. Then the priest said, Let us come near to God.
14:36 And Saul said, Let us go down after the Philistines by night, and spoil them until the morning light, and let us not leave a man of them. And they said, Do whatsoever seems good unto you. Then said the priest, Let us draw near here unto God.
14:37 사울이 하나님께 묻자오되 내가 블레셋 사람을 쫓아 내려가리이까 주께서
그들을 이스라엘의 손에 붙이시겠나이까 하되 그 날에 대답지 아니하시는지라
14:37 And Saul, desiring directions from God, said, Am I to go down after the Philistines?
will you give them up into the hands of Israel? But he gave him no answer that day.
14:37 And Saul asked counsel of God, Shall I go down after the Philistines? will you deliver them into the hand of Israel? But he answered him not that day.
14:38 사울이 가로되 너희 백성의 어른들아 다 이리로 오라 오늘 이 죄가 뉘게
있나 알아보자
14:38 And Saul said, Come near, all you chiefs of the people, and let us get word from
God and see in whom is this sin today.
14:38 And Saul said, Draw all of you near here, all the chief of the people: and know and see wherein this sin has been this day.
14:39 이스라엘을 구원하신 여호와의 사심으로 맹세하노니 내 아들 요나단에게
있다 할지라도 반드시 죽으리라 하되 모든 백성 중 한 사람도 대답지 아니하매
14:39 For, by the living Lord, the saviour of Israel, even if the sinner is Jonathan,
my son, death will certainly be his fate. But not a man among all the people gave
him any answer.
14:39 For, as the LORD lives, which saves Israel, though it be in Jonathan my son, he shall surely die. But there was not a man among all the people that answered him.
14:40 이에 그가 온 이스라엘에게 이르되 너희는 저편에 있으라 나와 내 아들
요나단은 이편에 있으리라 백성이 사울에게 말하되 왕의 소견에 좋은 대로 하소서
하니라
14:40 Then he said to all Israel, You be on one side, and I with Jonathan my son will
be on the other side. And the people said to Saul, Do whatever seems good to you.
14:40 Then said he unto all Israel, Be all of you on one side, and I and Jonathan my son will be on the other side. And the people said unto Saul, Do what seems good unto you.
14:41 이에 사울이 이스라엘의 하나님 여호와께 아뢰되 원컨대 실상을 보이소서
하였더니 요나단과 사울이 뽑히고 백성은 면한지라
14:41 Then Saul said to the Lord, the God of Israel, Why have you not given me an answer
today? If the sin is in me or in Jonathan my son, O Lord God of Israel, give Urim,
and if it is in your people Israel, give Thummim. And by the decision of the Lord,
Saul and Jonathan were marked out, and the people went free.
14:41 Therefore Saul said unto the LORD God of Israel, Give a perfect lot. And Saul and Jonathan were taken: but the people escaped.
14:42 사울이 가로되 나와 내 아들 요나단 사이에 뽑으라 하였더니 요나단이 뽑히니라
14:42 And Saul said, Give your decision between my son Jonathan and me. And Jonathan was
taken.
14:42 And Saul said, Cast lots between me and Jonathan my son. And Jonathan was taken.
14:43 ○ 사울이 요나단에게 가로되 너의 행한 것을 내게 고하라 요나단이 고하여
가로되 내가 다만 내 손에 가진 지팡이 끝으로 꿀을 조금 맛보았을 뿐이오나 내가
죽을 수 밖에 없나이다
14:43 Then Saul said to Jonathan, Give me an account of what you have done. And Jonathan
gave him the story and said, Certainly I took a little honey on the end of my rod;
and now death is to be my fate.
14:43 Then Saul said to Jonathan, Tell me what you have done. And Jonathan told him, and said, I did but taste a little honey with the end of the rod that was in mine hand, and, lo, I must die.
14:44 사울이 가로되 요나단아 네가 반드시 죽으리라 그렇지 않으면 하나님이
내게 벌을 내리시고 또 내리시기를 원하노라
14:44 And Saul said, May God's punishment be on me if death is not your fate, Jonathan.
14:44 And Saul answered, God do so and more also: for you shall surely die, Jonathan.
14:45 백성이 사울에게 말하되 이스라엘에 이 큰 구원을 이룬 요나단이 죽겠나이까
결단코 그렇지 아니하니이다 여호와의 사심으로 맹세하옵나니 그의 머리털 하나도
땅에 떨어지지 아니할 것은 그가 오늘 하나님과 동사하였음이니이다 하여 요나단을
구원하여 죽지 않게 하니라
14:45 And the people said to Saul, Is death to come to Jonathan, the worker of this great
salvation for Israel? Let it not be so: by the living Lord, not one hair of his
head is to be touched, for he has been working with God today. So the people kept
Jonathan from death.
14:45 And the people said unto Saul, Shall Jonathan die, who has wrought this great salvation in Israel? God forbid: as the LORD lives, there shall not one hair of his head fall to the ground; for he has wrought with God this day. So the people rescued Jonathan, that he died not.
14:46 사울이 블레셋 사람 따르기를 그치고 올라가매 블레셋 사람이 자기 곳으로
돌아가니라
14:46 Then Saul, turning back, went after the Philistines no longer: and the Philistines
went back to their place.
14:46 Then Saul went up from following the Philistines: and the Philistines went to their own place.
14:47 ○ 사울이 이스라엘 왕위에 나아간 후에 사방에 있는 모든 대적 곧 모압과
암몬 자손과 에돔과 소바의 왕들과 블레셋 사람을 쳤는데 향하는 곳마다 이기었고
14:47 Now when Saul had taken his place as ruler of Israel, he made war on those who were
against him on every side, Moab and the Ammonites and Edom and the kings of Zobah
and the Philistines: and whichever way he went, he overcame them.
14:47 So Saul took the kingdom over Israel, and fought against all his enemies on every side, against Moab, and against the children of Ammon, and against Edom, and against the kings of Zobah, and against the Philistines: and anywhere he turned himself, he vexed them.
14:48 용맹 있게 아말렉 사람을 치고 이스라엘을 그 약탈하는 자의 손에서 건졌더라
14:48 And he did great things, and overcame the Amalekites, and made Israel safe from
the hands of their attackers.
14:48 And he gathered an host, and stroke the Amalekites, and delivered Israel out of the hands of them that spoiled them.
14:49 ○ 사울의 아들은 요나단과 리스위와 말기수아요 그 두 딸의 이름은 이러하니
맏딸의 이름은 메랍이요 작은 딸의 이름은 미갈이며
14:49 Now the sons of Saul were Jonathan and Ishvi and Malchi-shua; and these are the
names of his daughters: the older was named Merab and the younger Michal;
14:49 Now the sons of Saul were Jonathan, and Ishui, and Melchishua: and the names of his two daughters were these; the name of the firstborn Merab, and the name of the younger Michal:
14:50 사울의 아내의 이름은 아히노암이니 아히마아스의 딸이요 그 군장의 이름은
아브넬이니 사울의 숙부 넬의 아들이며
14:50 The name of Saul's wife was Ahinoam, the daughter of Ahimaaz; the captain of his
army was Abner, the son of Ner, brother of Saul's father.
14:50 And the name of Saul's wife was Ahinoam, the daughter of Ahimaaz: and the name of the captain of his host was Abner, the son of Ner, Saul's uncle.
14:51 사울의 아비는 기스요 아브넬의 아비는 넬이니 아비엘의 아들이었더라
14:51 Kish, the father of Saul, and Ner, the father of Abner, were sons of Abiel.
14:51 And Kish was the father of Saul; and Ner the father of Abner was the son of Abiel.
14:52 ○ 사울의 사는 날 동안에 블레셋 사람과 큰 싸움이 있었으므로 사울이
힘 있는 자나 용맹 있는 자를 보면 그들을 불러 모았더라
14:52 All through the life of Saul there was bitter war against the Philistines; and whenever
Saul saw any strong man or any good fighting man, he kept him near himself.
14:52 And there was sore war against the Philistines all the days of Saul: and when Saul saw any strong man, or any valiant man, he took him unto him.
15:1 사무엘이 사울에게 이르되 여호와께서 나를 보내어 왕에게 기름을 부어 그
백성 이스라엘 위에 왕을 삼으셨은즉 이제 왕은 여호와의 말씀을 들으소서
15:1 And Samuel said to Saul, The Lord sent me to put the holy oil on you and to make
you king over his people, over Israel: so give ear now to the words of the Lord.
15:1 Samuel also said unto Saul, The LORD sent me to anoint you to be king over his people, over Israel: now therefore hearken you unto the voice of the words of the LORD.
15:2 만군의 여호와께서 이같이 말씀하시기를 아말렉이 이스라엘에게 행한 일
곧 애굽에서 나올 때에 길에서 대적한 일을 내가 추억하노니
15:2 The Lord of armies says, I will give punishment to Amalek for what he did to Israel,
fighting against him on the way when Israel came out of Egypt.
15:2 Thus says the LORD of hosts, I remember that which Amalek did to Israel, how he laid wait for him in the way, when he came up from Egypt.
15:3 지금 가서 아말렉을 쳐서 그들의 모든 소유를 남기지 말고 진멸하되 남녀와
소아와 젖먹는 아이와 우양과 약대와 나귀를 죽이라 하셨나이다
15:3 Go now and put Amalek to the sword, putting to the curse all they have, without
mercy: put to death every man and woman, every child and baby at the breast, every
ox and sheep, camel and ass.
15:3 Now go and strike Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and spare them not; but slay both man and woman, infant and nursing infant, ox and sheep, camel and ass.
15:4 ○ 사울이 백성을 소집하고 그들을 들라임에서 계수하니 보병이 이십만이요
유다 사람이 일만이라
15:4 And Saul sent for the people and had them numbered in Telaim, two hundred thousand
footmen and ten thousand men of Judah.
15:4 And Saul gathered the people together, and numbered them in Telaim, two hundred thousand footmen, and ten thousand men of Judah.
15:5 사울이 아말렉 성에 이르러 골짜기에 복병하니라
15:5 And Saul came to the town of Amalek, and took up his position in the valley secretly.
15:5 And Saul came to a city of Amalek, and laid wait in the valley.
15:6 사울이 겐 사람에게 이르되 아말렉 사람 중에서 떠나 내려가라 그들과 함께
너희를 멸하게 될까 하노라 이스라엘 모든 자손이 애굽에서 올라올 때에 너희가 그들을
선대하였느니라 이에 겐 사람이 아말렉 사람 중에서 떠나니라
15:6 And Saul said to the Kenites, Go away, take yourselves out from among the Amalekites,
or destruction will overtake you with them: for you were kind to the children of
Israel when they came out of Egypt. So the Kenites went away from among the Amalekites.
15:6 And Saul said unto the Kenites, Go, depart, get you down from among the Amalekites, lest I destroy you with them: for all of you showed kindness to all the children of Israel, when they came up out of Egypt. So the Kenites departed from among the Amalekites.
15:7 사울이 하윌라에서부터 애굽 앞 술에 이르기까지 아말렉 사람을 치고
15:7 And Saul made an attack on the Amalekites from Havilah on the road to Shur, which
is before Egypt.
15:7 And Saul stroke the Amalekites from Havilah until you come to Shur, that is opposite to Egypt.
15:8 아말렉 사람의 왕 아각을 사로잡고 칼날로 그 모든 백성을 진멸하였으되
15:8 He took Agag, king of the Amalekites, prisoner, and put all the people to the sword
without mercy.
15:8 And he took Agag the king of the Amalekites alive, and utterly destroyed all the people with the edge of the sword.
15:9 사울과 백성이 아각과 그 양과 소의 가장 좋은 것 또는 기름진 것과 어린
양과 모든 좋은 것을 남기고 진멸키를 즐겨 아니하고 가치 없고 낮은 것은 진멸하니라
15:9 But Saul and the people did not put Agag to death, and they kept the best of the
sheep and the oxen and the fat beasts and the lambs, and whatever was good, not
desiring to put them to the curse: but everything which was bad and of no use they
put to the curse.
15:9 But Saul and the people spared Agag, and the best of the sheep, and of the oxen, and of the fatlings, and the lambs, and all that was good, and would not utterly destroy them: but every thing that was vile and refuse, that they destroyed utterly.
15:10 ○ 여호와의 말씀이 사무엘에게 임하니라 가라사대
15:10 Then the Lord said to Samuel,
15:10 Then came the word of the LORD unto Samuel, saying,
15:11 내가 사울을 세워 왕 삼은 것을 후회하노니 그가 돌이켜서 나를 좇지 아니하며
내 명령을 이루지 아니하였음이니라 하신지라 사무엘이 근심하여 온 밤을 여호와께
부르짖으니라
15:11 It is no longer my pleasure for Saul to be king; for he is turned back from going
in my ways, and has not done my orders. And Samuel was very sad, crying to the Lord
in prayer all night.
15:11 It repents me that I have set up Saul to be king: for he is turned back from following me, and has not performed my commandments. And it grieved Samuel; and he cried unto the LORD all night.
15:12 사무엘이 사울을 만나려고 아침에 일찌기 일어났더니 혹이 사무엘에게 고하여
가로되 사울이 갈멜에 이르러 자기를 위하여 기념비를 세우고 돌이켜 행하여 길갈로
내려갔다 하는지라
15:12 And early in the morning he got up and went to Saul; and word was given to Samuel
that Saul had come to Carmel and put up a pillar, and had gone from there down to
Gilgal.
15:12 And when Samuel rose early to meet Saul in the morning, it was told Samuel, saying, Saul came to Carmel, and, behold, he set him up a place, and is gone about, and passed on, and gone down to Gilgal.
15:13 사무엘이 사울에게 이른즉 사울이 그에게 이르되 원컨대 당신은 여호와께
복을 받으소서 내가 여호와의 명령을 행하였나이다
15:13 And Samuel came to Saul; and Saul said to him, May the blessing of the Lord be with
you: I have done what was ordered by the Lord.
15:13 And Samuel came to Saul: and Saul said unto him, Blessed be you of the LORD: I have performed the commandment of the LORD.
15:14 사무엘이 가로되 그러면 내 귀에 들어오는 이 양의 소리와 내게 들리는
소의 소리는 어찜이니이까
15:14 And Samuel said, What then is this sound of the crying of sheep and the noise of
oxen which comes to my ears?
15:14 And Samuel said, What means then this bleating of the sheep in mine ears, and the lowing of the oxen which I hear?
15:15 사울이 가로되 그것은 무리가 아말렉 사람에게서 끌어 온 것인데 백성이
당신의 하나님 여호와께 제사하려 하여 양과 소의 가장 좋은 것을 남김이요 그 외의
것은 우리가 진멸하였나이다
15:15 And Saul said, They have taken them from the Amalekites: for the people have kept
the best of the sheep and of the oxen as an offering to the Lord your God; all the
rest we have given up to destruction.
15:15 And Saul said, They have brought them from the Amalekites: for the people spared the best of the sheep and of the oxen, to sacrifice unto the LORD your God; and the rest we have utterly destroyed.
15:16 사무엘이 사울에게 이르되 가만히 계시옵소서 간밤에 여호와께서 내게 이르신
것을 왕에게 말하리이다 가로되 말씀하소서
15:16 Then Samuel said to Saul, Say no more! Let me give you word of what the Lord has
said to me this night. And he said to him, Say on.
15:16 Then Samuel said unto Saul, Stay, and I will tell you what the LORD has said to me this night. And he said unto him, Say on.
15:17 ○ 사무엘이 가로되 왕이 스스로 작게 여길 그 때에 이스라엘 지파의 머리가
되지 아니하셨나이까 여호와께서 왕에게 기름을 부어 이스라엘 왕을 삼으시고
15:17 And Samuel said, Though you may seem little to yourself, are you not head of the
tribes of Israel? for the Lord with the holy oil made you king over Israel,
15:17 And Samuel said, When you were little in yours own sight, were you not made the head of the tribes of Israel, and the LORD anointed you king over Israel?
15:18 또 왕을 길로 보내시며 이르시기를 가서 죄인 아말렉 사람을 진멸하되 다
없어지기까지 치라 하셨거늘
15:18 And the Lord sent you on a journey and said, Go and put to the curse those sinners,
the Amalekites, fighting against them till every one is dead.
15:18 And the LORD sent you on a journey, and said, Go and utterly destroy the sinners the Amalekites, and fight against them until they be consumed.
15:19 어찌하여 왕이 여호와의 목소리를 청종치 아니하고 탈취하기에만 급하여
여호와의 악하게 여기시는 것을 행하였나이까
15:19 Why then did you not do the orders of the Lord, but by violently taking their goods
did evil in the eyes of the Lord?
15:19 Wherefore then did you not obey the voice of the LORD, but did fly upon the spoil, and did evil in the sight of the LORD?
15:20 사울이 사무엘에게 이르되 나는 실로 여호와의 목소리를 청종하여 여호와께서
보내신 길로 가서 아말렉 왕 아각을 끌어 왔고 아말렉 사람을 진멸하였으나
15:20 And Saul said, Truly, I have done the orders of the Lord and have gone the way the
Lord sent me; I have taken Agag, the king of Amalek, and have given the Amalekites
up to destruction.
15:20 And Saul said unto Samuel, Yea, I have obeyed the voice of the LORD, and have gone the way which the LORD sent me, and have brought Agag the king of Amalek, and have utterly destroyed the Amalekites.
15:21 다만 백성이 그 마땅히 멸할 것 중에서 가장 좋은 것으로 길갈에서 당신의
하나님 여호와께 제사하려고 양과 소를 취하였나이다
15:21 But the people took some of their goods, sheep and oxen, the chief of the things
which were put to the curse, to make an offering of them to the Lord your God in
Gilgal.
15:21 But the people took of the spoil, sheep and oxen, the chief of the things which should have been utterly destroyed, to sacrifice unto the LORD your God in Gilgal.
15:22 사무엘이 가로되 여호와께서 번제와 다른 제사를 그 목소리 순종하는 것을
좋아하심 같이 좋아하시겠나이까 순종이 제사보다 낫고 듣는 것이 수양의 기름보다
나으니
15:22 And Samuel said, Has the Lord as much delight in offerings and burned offerings
as in the doing of his orders? Truly, to do his pleasure is better than to make
offerings, and to give ear to him than the fat of sheep.
15:22 And Samuel said, Has the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams.
15:23 이는 거역하는 것은 사술의 죄와 같고 완고한 것은 사신 우상에게 절하는
죄와 같음이라 왕이 여호와의 말씀을 버렸으므로 여호와께서도 왕을 버려 왕이 되지
못하게 하셨나이다
15:23 For to go against his orders is like the sin of those who make use of secret arts,
and pride is like giving worship to images. Because you have put away from you the
word of the Lord, he has put you from your place as king.
15:23 For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because you have rejected the word of the LORD, he has also rejected you from being king.
15:24 ○ 사울이 사무엘에게 이르되 내가 범죄하였나이다 내가 여호와의 명령과
당신의 말씀을 어긴 것은 내가 백성을 두려워하여 그 말을 청종하였음이니이다
15:24 And Saul said to Samuel, Great is my sin: for I have gone against the orders of
the Lord and against your words: because, fearing the people, I did what they said.
15:24 And Saul said unto Samuel, I have sinned: for I have transgressed the commandment of the LORD, and your words: because I feared the people, and obeyed their voice.
15:25 청하오니 지금 내 죄를 사하고 나와 함께 돌아가서 나로 여호와께 경배하게
하소서
15:25 So now, let my sin have forgiveness, and go back with me to give worship to the
Lord.
15:25 Now therefore, I pray you, pardon my sin, and return with me, that I may worship the LORD.
15:26 사무엘이 사울에게 이르되 나는 왕과 함께 돌아가지 아니하리니 이는 왕이
여호와의 말씀을 버렸으므로 여호와께서 왕을 버려 이스라엘 왕이 되지 못하게 하셨음이니이다
하고
15:26 And Samuel said to Saul, I will not go back with you: for you have put away from
you the word of the Lord, and the Lord has put you from your place as king over
Israel.
15:26 And Samuel said unto Saul, I will not return with you: for you have rejected the word of the LORD, and the LORD has rejected you from being king over Israel.
15:27 사무엘이 가려고 돌이킬 때에 사울이 그의 겉옷 자락을 붙잡으매 찢어진지라
15:27 And when Samuel was turning round to go away, Saul took the skirt of his robe in
his hand, and the cloth came away.
15:27 And as Samuel turned about to go away, he laid hold upon the skirt of his mantle, and it rent.
15:28 사무엘이 그에게 이르되 여호와께서 오늘 이스라엘 나라를 왕에게서 떼어서
왕보다 나은 왕의 이웃에게 주셨나이다
15:28 And Samuel said to him, The Lord has taken away the kingdom of Israel from you this
day by force, and has given it to a neighbour of yours who is better than you.
15:28 And Samuel said unto him, The LORD has rent the kingdom of Israel from you this day, and has given it to a neighbour of yours, that is better than you.
15:29 이스라엘의 지존자는 거짓이나 변개함이 없으시니 그는 사람이 아니시므로
결코 변개치 않으심이니이다
15:29 And further, the Glory of Israel will not say what is false, and his purpose may
not be changed: for he is not a man, whose purpose may be changed.
15:29 And also the Strength of Israel will not lie nor repent: for he is not a man, that he should repent.
15:30 사울이 가로되 내가 범죄하였을지라도 청하옵나니 내 백성의 장로들의 앞과
이스라엘의 앞에서 나를 높이사 나와 함께 돌아가서 나로 당신의 하나님 여호와께
경배하게 하소서
15:30 Then he said, Great is my sin: but still, give me honour now before the heads of
my people and before Israel, and come back with me so that I may give worship to
the Lord your God.
15:30 Then he said, I have sinned: yet honour me now, I pray you, before the elders of my people, and before Israel, and return with me, that I may worship the LORD your God.
15:31 이에 사무엘이 돌이켜 사울을 따라가매 사울이 여호와께 경배하니라
15:31 So Samuel went back after Saul, and Saul gave worship to the Lord.
15:31 So Samuel turned again after Saul; and Saul worshipped the LORD.
15:32 ○ 사무엘이 가로되 너희는 아말렉 사람의 왕 아각을 내게로 이끌어 오라
하였더니 아각이 즐거이 오며 가로되 진실로 사망의 괴로움이 지났도다 하니라
15:32 Then Samuel said, Make Agag, the king of the Amalekites, come here to me. And Agag
came to him shaking with fear. And Agag said, Truly the pain of death is past.
15:32 Then said Samuel, Bring all of you here to me Agag the king of the Amalekites. And Agag came unto him delicately. And Agag said, Surely the bitterness of death is past.
15:33 사무엘이 가로되 네 칼이 여인들로 무자케 한 것 같이 여인 중 네 어미가
무자하리라 하고 그가 길갈에서 여호와 앞에서 아각을 찍어 쪼개니라
15:33 And Samuel said, As your sword has made women without children, so now your mother
will be without children among women. And Agag was cut up by Samuel, bone from bone,
before the Lord in Gilgal.
15:33 And Samuel said, As the sword has made women childless, so shall your mother be childless among women. And Samuel hewed Agag in pieces before the LORD in Gilgal.
15:34 ○ 이에 사무엘은 라마로 가고 사울은 사울 기브아 본 집으로 올라가니라
15:34 Then Samuel went to Ramah; and Saul went up to his house in Gibeah, in the land
of Saul.
15:34 Then Samuel went to Ramah; and Saul went up to his house to Gibeah of Saul.
15:35 사무엘이 죽는 날까지 사울을 다시 가서 보지 아니하였으니 이는 그가 사울을
위하여 슬퍼함이었고 여호와께서는 사울로 이스라엘 왕 삼으신 것을 후회하셨더라
15:35 And Samuel never saw Saul again till the day of his death; but Samuel was sorrowing
for Saul: and it was no longer the Lord's pleasure for Saul to be king over Israel.
15:35 And Samuel came no more to see Saul until the day of his death: nevertheless Samuel mourned for Saul: and the LORD repented that he had made Saul king over Israel.
16:1 여호와께서 사무엘에게 이르시되 내가 이미 사울을 버려 이스라엘 왕이 되지
못하게 하였거늘 네가 그를 위하여 언제까지 슬퍼하겠느냐 너는 기름을 뿔에 채워
가지고 가라 내가 너를 베들레헴 사람 이새에게로 보내리니 이는 내가 그 아들 중에서
한 왕을 예선하였음이니라
16:1 And the Lord said to Samuel, How long will you go on sorrowing for Saul, seeing
that I have put him from his place as king over Israel? Take oil in your vessel
and go; I will send you to Jesse, the Beth-lehemite: for I have got a king for myself
among his sons.
16:1 And the LORD said unto Samuel, How long will you mourn for Saul, seeing I have rejected him from reigning over Israel? fill yours horn with oil, and go, I will send you to Jesse the Bethlehemite: for I have provided me a king among his sons.
16:2 사무엘이 가로되 내가 어찌 갈 수 있으리이까 사울이 들으면 나를 죽이리이다
여호와께서 가라사대 너는 암송아지를 끌고 가서 말하기를 내가 여호와께 제사를
드리러 왔다 하고
16:2 And Samuel said, How is it possible for me to go? If Saul gets news of it he will
put me to death. And the Lord said, Take a young cow with you and say, I have come
to make an offering to the Lord.
16:2 And Samuel said, How can I go? if Saul hear it, he will kill me. And the LORD said, Take an heifer with you, and say, I am come to sacrifice to the LORD.
16:3 이새를 제사에 청하라 내가 너의 행할 일을 가르치리니 내가 네게 알게 하는 자에게
나를 위하여 기름을 부을지니라
16:3 And send for Jesse to be present at the offering, and I will make clear to you what
you are to do: and you are to put the holy oil on him whose name I give you.
16:3 And call Jesse to the sacrifice, and I will show you what you shall do: and you shall anoint unto me him whom I name unto you.
16:4 사무엘이 여호와의 말씀대로 행하여 베들레헴에 이르매 성읍 장로들이 떨며
그를 영접하여 가로되 평강을 위하여 오시나이까
16:4 And Samuel did as the Lord said and came to Beth-lehem. And the responsible men
of the town came out to him in fear and said, Do you come in peace?
16:4 And Samuel did that which the LORD spoke, and came to Bethlehem. And the elders of the town trembled at his coming, and said, Come you peaceably?
16:5 가로되 평강을 위함이니라 내가 여호와께 제사하러 왔으니 스스로 성결케
하고 와서 나와 함께 제사하자 하고 이새와 그 아들들을 성결케 하고 제사에 청하니라
16:5 And he said, In peace: I have come to make an offering to the Lord: make yourselves
clean and come with me to make the offering. And he made Jesse and his sons clean,
and sent for them to be present at the offering.
16:5 And he said, Peaceably: I am come to sacrifice unto the LORD: sanctify yourselves, and come with me to the sacrifice. And he sanctified Jesse and his sons, and called them to the sacrifice.
16:6 ○ 그들이 오매 사무엘이 엘리압을 보고 마음에 이르기를 여호와의 기름
부으실 자가 과연 그 앞에 있도다 하였더니
16:6 Now when they came, looking at Eliab, he said, Clearly the man of the Lord's selection
is before him.
16:6 And it came to pass, when they were come, that he looked on Eliab, and said, Surely the LORD's anointed is before him.
16:7 여호와께서 사무엘에게 이르시되 그 용모와 신장을 보지 말라 내가 이미
그를 버렸노라 나의 보는 것은 사람과 같지 아니하니 사람은 외모를 보거니와 나
여호와는 중심을 보느니라
16:7 But the Lord said to Samuel, Do not take note of his face or how tall he is, because
I will not have him: for the Lord's view is not man's; man takes note of the outer
form, but the Lord sees the heart.
16:7 But the LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the LORD sees not as man sees; for man looks on the outward appearance, but the LORD looks on the heart.
16:8 이새가 아비나답을 불러 사무엘의 앞을 지나게 하매 사무엘이 가로되 이도
여호와께서 택하지 아니하셨느니라
16:8 Then Jesse sent for Abinadab and made him come before Samuel. And he said, The Lord
has not taken this one.
16:8 Then Jesse called Abinadab, and made him pass before Samuel. And he said, Neither has the LORD chosen this.
16:9 이새가 삼마로 지나게 하매 사무엘이 가로되 이도 여호와께서 택하지 아니하셨느니라
16:9 Then Jesse made Shammah come before him. And he said, The Lord has not taken this
one.
16:9 Then Jesse made Shammah to pass by. And he said, Neither has the LORD chosen this.
16:10 이새가 그 아들 일곱으로 다 사무엘 앞을 지나게 하나 사무엘이 이새에게
이르되 여호와께서 이들을 택하지 아니하셨느니라 하고
16:10 And Jesse made his seven sons come before Samuel. And Samuel said to Jesse, The
Lord has not taken any of these.
16:10 Again, Jesse made seven of his sons to pass before Samuel. And Samuel said unto Jesse, The LORD has not chosen these.
16:11 또 이새에게 이르되 네 아들들이 다 여기 있느냐 이새가 가로되 아직 말째가
남았는데 그가 양을 지키나이다 사무엘이 이새에게 이르되 보내어 그를 데려오라
그가 여기 오기까지는 우리가 식사 자리에 앉지 아니하겠노라
16:11 Then Samuel said to Jesse, Are all your children here? And he said, There is still
the youngest, and he is looking after the sheep. And Samuel said to Jesse, Send
and make him come here: for we will not take our seats till he is here.
16:11 And Samuel said unto Jesse, Are here all your children? And he said, There remains yet the youngest, and, behold, he keeps the sheep. And Samuel said unto Jesse, Send and fetch him: for we will not sit down till he comes here.
16:12 이에 보내어 그를 데려오매 그의 빛이 붉고 눈이 빼어나고 얼굴이 아름답더라
여호와께서 가라사대 이가 그니 일어나 기름을 부으라
16:12 So he sent and made him come in. Now he had red hair and beautiful eyes and pleasing
looks. And the Lord said, Come, put the oil on him, for this is he.
16:12 And he sent, and brought him in. Now he was rosy, and likewise of a beautiful countenance, and goodly to look to. And the LORD said, Arise, anoint him: for this is he.
16:13 사무엘이 기름 뿔을 취하여 그 형제 중에서 그에게 부었더니 이 날 이후로
다윗이 여호와의 신에게 크게 감동되니라 사무엘이 떠나서 라마로 가니라
16:13 Then Samuel took the bottle of oil, and put the oil on him there among his brothers:
and from that day the spirit of the Lord came on David with power. So Samuel went
back to Ramah.
16:13 Then Samuel took the horn of oil, and anointed him in the midst of his brethren: and the Spirit of the LORD came upon David from that day forward. So Samuel rose up, and went to Ramah.
16:14 ○ 여호와의 신이 사울에게서 떠나고 여호와의 부리신 악신이 그를 번뇌케
한지라
16:14 Now the spirit of the Lord had gone from Saul, and an evil spirit from the Lord
was troubling him.
16:14 But the Spirit of the LORD departed from Saul, and an evil spirit from the LORD troubled him.
16:15 사울의 신하들이 그에게 이르되 보소서 하나님의 부리신 악신이 왕을 번뇌케
하온즉
16:15 And Saul's servants said to him, See now, an evil spirit from God is troubling you.
16:15 And Saul's servants said unto him, Behold now, an evil spirit from God troubles you.
16:16 원컨대 우리 주는 주의 앞에 모시는 신하에게 명하여 수금 잘 탈 줄 아는
사람을 구하게 하소서 하나님의 부리신 악신이 왕에게 이를 때에 그가 손으로 타면
왕이 나으시리이다
16:16 Now give orders to your servants who are here before you to go in search of a man
who is an expert player on a corded instrument: and it will be that when the evil
spirit from God is on you, he will make music for you on his instrument, and you
will get well.
16:16 Let our lord now command your servants, which are before you, to seek out a man, who is a cunning player on an harp: and it shall come to pass, when the evil spirit from God is upon you, that he shall play with his hand, and you shall be well.
16:17 사울이 신하에게 이르되 나를 위하여 잘 타는 사람을 구하여 내게로 데려오라
16:17 And Saul said to his servants, Then get me a man who is an expert player, and make
him come to me.
16:17 And Saul said unto his servants, Provide me now a man that can play well, and bring him to me.
16:18 소년 중 한 사람이 대답하여 가로되 내가 베들레헴 사람 이새의 아들을
본즉 탈 줄을 알고 호기와 무용과 구변이 있는 준수한 자라 여호와께서 그와 함께
계시더이다
16:18 Then one of the servants in answer said, I have seen a son of Jesse, the Beth-lehemite,
who is expert at playing, and a strong man and a man of war; and he is wise in his
words, and pleasing in looks, and the Lord is with him.
16:18 Then answered one of the servants, and said, Behold, I have seen a son of Jesse the Bethlehemite, that is cunning in playing, and a mighty valiant man, and a man of war, and prudent in matters, and a comely person, and the LORD is with him.
16:19 사울이 이에 사자를 이새에게 보내어 이르되 양 치는 네 아들 다윗을 내게로
보내라 하매
16:19 So Saul sent his servants to Jesse and said, Send me your son David who is with
the sheep.
16:19 Wherefore Saul sent messengers unto Jesse, and said, Send me David your son, which is with the sheep.
16:20 이새가 떡과 한 가죽 부대의 포도주와 염소 새끼를 나귀에 실리고 그 아들
다윗의 손으로 사울에게 보내니
16:20 And Jesse took five cakes of bread and a skin of wine and a young goat and sent
them to Saul by David.
16:20 And Jesse took an ass laden with bread, and a bottle of wine, and a kid, and sent them by David his son unto Saul.
16:21 다윗이 사울에게 이르러 그 앞에 모셔 서매 사울이 그를 크게 사랑하여
자기의 병기 든 자를 삼고
16:21 And David came to Saul, waiting before him: and he became very dear to Saul, who
made him his servant, giving him the care of his arms.
16:21 And David came to Saul, and stood before him: and he loved him greatly; and he became his armour bearer.
16:22 이새에게 사람을 보내어 이르되 청컨대 다윗으로 내 앞에 모셔 서게 하라
그가 내게 은총을 얻었느니라 하니라
16:22 And Saul sent to Jesse saying, Let David be with me, for he is pleasing to me.
16:22 And Saul sent to Jesse, saying, Let David, I pray you, stand before me; for he has found favour in my sight.
16:23 하나님의 부리신 악신이 사울에게 이를 때에 다윗이 수금을 취하여 손으로
탄즉 사울이 상쾌하여 낫고 악신은 그에게서 떠나더라
16:23 And whenever the evil spirit from God came on Saul, David took his instrument and
made music: so new life came to Saul, and he got well, and the evil spirit went
away from him.
16:23 And it came to pass, when the evil spirit from God was upon Saul, that David took an harp, and played with his hand: so Saul was refreshed, and was well, and the evil spirit departed from him.
17:1 블레셋 사람들이 그 군대를 모으고 싸우고자 하여 유다에 속한 소고에 모여
소고와 아세가 사이의 에베스담밈에 진 치매
17:1 Now the Philistines got their armies together for war, and came together at Socoh
in the land of Judah, and took up their position between Socoh and Azekah in Ephes-dammim.
17:1 Now the Philistines gathered together their armies to battle, and were gathered together at Shochoh, which belongs to Judah, and pitched between Shochoh and Azekah, in Ephesdammim.
17:2 사울과 이스라엘 사람들이 모여서 엘라 골짜기에 진 치고 블레셋 사람을 대하여
항오를 벌였으니
17:2 And Saul and the men of Israel came together and took up their position in the valley
of Elah, and put their forces in order against the Philistines.
17:2 And Saul and the men of Israel were gathered together, and pitched by the valley of Elah, and set the battle in array against the Philistines.
17:3 블레셋 사람은 이편 산에 섰고 이스라엘은 저편 산에 섰고 사이에는 골짜기가
있었더라
17:3 The Philistines were stationed on the mountain on one side and Israel on the mountain
on the other side: and there was a valley between them.
17:3 And the Philistines stood on a mountain on the one side, and Israel stood on a mountain on the other side: and there was a valley between them.
17:4 블레셋 사람의 진에서 싸움을 돋우는 자가 왔는데 그 이름은 골리앗이요
가드 사람이라 그 신장은 여섯 규빗 한 뼘이요
17:4 And a fighter came out from the tents of the Philistines, named Goliath of Gath;
he was more than six cubits tall.
17:4 And there went out a champion out of the camp of the Philistines, named Goliath, of Gath, whose height was six cubits and a span.
17:5 머리에는 놋 투구를 썼고 몸에는 어린갑을 입었으니 그 갑옷의 중수가 놋
오천 세겔이며
17:5 And he had a head-dress of brass on his head, and he was dressed in a coat of metal,
the weight of which was five thousand shekels of brass.
17:5 And he had an helmet of brass upon his head, and he was armed with a coat of armour formed by chains; and the weight of the coat was five thousand shekels of brass.
17:6 그 다리에는 놋 경갑을 쳤고 어깨 사이에는 놋 단창을 메었으니
17:6 His legs were covered with plates of brass and hanging on his back was a javelin
of brass.
17:6 And he had protective leg armor of brass upon his legs, and a target of brass between his shoulders.
17:7 그 창자루는 베틀 채 같고 창날은 철 육백 세겔이며 방패 든 자는 앞서 행하더라
17:7 The stem of his spear was as long as a cloth-worker's rod, and its head was made
of six hundred shekels' weight of iron: and one went before him with his body-cover.
17:7 And the staff of his spear was like a weaver's beam; and his spear's head weighed six hundred shekels of iron: and one bearing a shield went before him.
17:8 그가 서서 이스라엘 군대를 향하여 외쳐 가로되 너희가 어찌하여 나와서
항오를 벌였느냐 나는 블레셋 사람이 아니며 너희는 사울의 신복이 아니냐 너희는
한 사람을 택하여 내게로 내려보내라
17:8 He took up his position and in a loud voice said to the armies of Israel, Why have
you come out to make war? Am I not a Philistine and you servants of Saul? Send out
a man for yourselves and let him come down to me.
17:8 And he stood and cried unto the armies of Israel, and said unto them, Why are all of you come out to set your battle in array? am not I a Philistine, and all of you servants to Saul? choose you a man for you, and let him come down to me.
17:9 그가 능히 싸워서 나를 죽이면 우리가 너희의 종이 되겠고 만일 내가 이기어
그를 죽이면 너희가 우리의 종이 되어 우리를 섬길 것이니라
17:9 If he is able to have a fight with me and overcome me, then we will be your servants:
but if I am able to overcome him, then you will be our servants and do work for
us.
17:9 If he be able to fight with me, and to kill me, then will we be your servants: but if I prevail against him, and kill him, then shall all of you be our servants, and serve us.
17:10 그 블레셋 사람이 또 가로되 내가 오늘날 이스라엘의 군대를 모욕하였으니
사람을 보내어 나로 더불어 싸우게 하라 한지라
17:10 And the Philistine said, I have put to shame the armies of Israel this day; give
me a man so that we may have a fight together.
17:10 And the Philistine said, I defy the armies of Israel this day; give me a man, that we may fight together.
17:11 사울과 온 이스라엘이 블레셋 사람의 이 말을 듣고 놀라 크게 두려워하니라
17:11 And Saul and all Israel, hearing those words of the Philistine, were troubled and
full of fear.
17:11 When Saul and all Israel heard those words of the Philistine, they were dismayed, and greatly afraid.
17:12 ○ 다윗은 유다 베들레헴 에브랏 사람 이새라 하는 자의 아들이었는데 이새는
사울 당시 사람 중에 나이 많아 늙은 자로서 여덟 아들이 있는 중
17:12 Now David was the son of that Ephrathite of Beth-lehem-judah named Jesse, who had
eight sons; and he was an old man in Saul's day, and far on in years.
17:12 Now David was the son of that Ephrathite of Bethlehemjudah, whose name was Jesse; and he had eight sons: and the man went among men for an old man in the days of Saul.
17:13 그 장성한 세 아들은 사울을 따라 싸움에 나갔으니 싸움에 나간 세 아들의
이름은 장자 엘리압이요 그 다음은 아비나답이요 제 삼은 삼마며
17:13 And the three oldest sons of Jesse had gone with Saul to the fight: the names of
the three who went to the fight were Eliab, the oldest, and Abinadab the second,
and Shammah the third.
17:13 And the three eldest sons of Jesse went and followed Saul to the battle: and the names of his three sons that went to the battle were Eliab the firstborn, and next unto him Abinadab, and the third Shammah.
17:14 다윗은 말째라 장성한 삼 인은 사울을 좇았고
17:14 And David was the youngest: and the three oldest were with Saul's army.
17:14 And David was the youngest: and the three eldest followed Saul.
17:15 다윗은 사울에게로 왕래하며 베들레헴에서 그 아비의 양을 칠 때에
17:15 Now David went to and from Saul, looking after his father's sheep at Beth-lehem.
17:15 But David went and returned from Saul to feed his father's sheep at Bethlehem.
17:16 그 블레셋 사람이 사십 일을 조석으로 나와서 몸을 나타내었더라
17:16 And the Philistine came near every morning and evening for forty days.
17:16 And the Philistine drew near morning and evening, and presented himself forty days.
17:17 ○ 이새가 그 아들 다윗에게 이르되 네 형들을 위하여 이 볶은 곡식 한
에바와 이 떡 열 덩이를 가지고 진으로 속히 가서 네 형들에게 주고
17:17 And Jesse said to his son David, Take now for your brothers an ephah of this dry
grain and these ten cakes of bread, and go quickly with them to the tents to your
brothers;
17:17 And Jesse said unto David his son, Take now for your brethren an ephah of this parched corn, and these ten loaves, and run to the camp of your brethren;
17:18 이 치스 열 덩이를 가져다가 그들의 천부장에게 주고 네 형들의 안부를
살피고 증표를 가져오라
17:18 And take these ten cheeses to the captain of their thousand, and see how your brothers
are and come back with a sign to say how they are.
17:18 And carry these ten cheeses unto the captain of their thousand, and look how your brethren fare, and take their pledge.
17:19 때에 사울과 그들과 이스라엘 모든 사람이 엘라 골짜기에서 블레셋 사람과
싸우는 중이더라
17:19 Now Saul, and they, and all the men of Israel were in the valley of Elah, fighting
with the Philistines.
17:19 Now Saul, and they, and all the men of Israel, were in the valley of Elah, fighting with the Philistines.
17:20 다윗이 아침에 일찌기 일어나서 양을 양 지키는 자에게 맡기고 이새의 명한
대로 가지고 가서 진영에 이른즉 마침 군대가 전장에 나와서 싸우려고 고함하며
17:20 And David got up early in the morning, and, giving the sheep into the care of a
keeper, took the things and went as Jesse had said; and he came to the lines where
the carts were, when the army was going out to the fight giving their war-cry.
17:20 And David rose up early in the morning, and left the sheep with a keeper, and took, and went, as Jesse had commanded him; and he came to the trench, as the host was going forth to the fight, and shouted for the battle.
17:21 이스라엘과 블레셋 사람이 항오를 벌이고 양군이 서로 대하였더라
17:21 And Israel and the Philistines had put their forces in position, army against army.
17:21 For Israel and the Philistines had put the battle in array, army against army.
17:22 다윗이 그 짐을 짐 지키는 자의 손에 맡기고 군대로 달려가서 형들에게
문안하고
17:22 And David gave his parcels into the hands of the keeper of the army stores, and
went running to the army and came to his brothers to get knowledge about them.
17:22 And David left his carriage in the hand of the keeper of the carriage, and ran into the army, and came and saluted his brethren.
17:23 그들과 함께 말할 때에 마침 블레셋 사람의 싸움 돋우는 가드 사람 골리앗이라
하는 자가 그 항오에서 나와서 전과 같은 말을 하매 다윗이 들으니라
17:23 And while he was talking to them, the fighter, the Philistine of Gath, Goliath by
name, came out from the Philistines' lines and said the same words, in David's hearing.
17:23 And as he talked with them, behold, there came up the champion, the Philistine of Gath, Goliath by name, out of the armies of the Philistines, and spoke according to the same words: and David heard them.
17:24 이스라엘 모든 사람이 그 사람을 보고 심히 두려워하여 그 앞에서 도망하며
17:24 And all the men of Israel, when they saw him, went in flight, overcome with fear.
17:24 And all the men of Israel, when they saw the man, fled from him, and were sore afraid.
17:25 더러는 가로되 너희가 이 올라온 사람을 보았느냐 참으로 이스라엘을 모욕하러
왔도다 그를 죽이는 사람은 왕이 많은 재물로 부하게 하고 그 딸을 그에게 주고 그
아비의 집은 이스라엘 중에서 자유하게 하시리라
17:25 And the men of Israel said, Have you seen this man? Clearly he has come out to put
shame on Israel: and it is certain that if any man overcomes him, the king will
give that man great wealth, and will give him his daughter, and make his father's
family free in Israel.
17:25 And the men of Israel said, Have all of you seen this man that has come up? surely to defy Israel is he comes up: and it shall be, that the man who kills him, the king will enrich him with great riches, and will give him his daughter, and make his father's house free in Israel.
17:26 다윗이 곁에 섰는 사람들에게 말하여 가로되 이 블레셋 사람을 죽여 이스라엘의
치욕을 제하는 사람에게는 어떠한 대우를 하겠느냐 이 할례 없는 블레셋 사람이 누구관대
사시는 하나님의 군대를 모욕하겠느냐
17:26 And David said to the men near him, What will be done to the man who overcomes this
Philistine and takes away the shame from Israel? for who is this Philistine, a man
without circumcision, that he has put shame on the armies of the living God?
17:26 And David spoke to the men that stood by him, saying, What shall be done to the man that kills this Philistine, and takes away the reproach from Israel? for who is this uncircumcised Philistine, that he should defy the armies of the living God?
17:27 백성이 전과 같이 말하여 가로되 그를 죽이는 사람에게는 여차여차히 하시리라
하니라
17:27 And the people gave him this answer, So it will be done to the man who overcomes
him.
17:27 And the people answered him after this manner, saying, So shall it be done to the man that kills him.
17:28 ○ 장형 엘리압이 다윗의 사람들에게 하는 말을 들은지라 그가 다윗에게
노를 발하여 가로되 네가 어찌하여 이리로 내려왔느냐 들에 있는 몇 양을 뉘게 맡겼느냐
나는 네 교만과 네 마음의 완악함을 아노니 네가 전쟁을 구경하러 왔도다
17:28 And Eliab, his oldest brother, hearing what David said to the men, was moved to
wrath against David, and said, Why have you come here? Into whose care have you
given that little flock of sheep in the waste land? I have knowledge of your pride
and the evil of your heart, you have come down to see the fight.
17:28 And Eliab his eldest brother heard when he spoke unto the men; and Eliab's anger was kindled against David, and he said, Why came you down here? and with whom have you left those few sheep in the wilderness? I know your pride, and the naughtiness of yours heart; for you are come down that you might see the battle.
17:29 다윗이 가로되 내가 무엇을 하였나이까 어찌 이유가 없으리이까 하고
17:29 And David said, What have I done now? was it not only a word?
17:29 And David said, What have I now done? Is there not a cause?
17:30 돌이켜 다른 사람을 향하여 전과 같이 말하매 백성이 전과 같이 대답하니라
17:30 And turning away from him to one of the other men, he said the same words: and the
people gave him the same answer.
17:30 And he turned from him toward another, and spoke after the same manner: and the people answered him again after the former manner.
17:31 ○ 혹이 다윗의 한 말을 듣고 그것을 사울에게 고하였으므로 사울이 다윗을
부른지라
17:31 And, hearing what David said, they gave Saul word of it: and he sent for him.
17:31 And when the words were heard which David spoke, they rehearsed them before Saul: and he sent for him.
17:32 다윗이 사울에게 고하되 그를 인하여 사람이 낙담하지 말 것이라 주의 종이
가서 저 블레셋 사람과 싸우리이다
17:32 And David said to Saul, Let no man's heart become feeble because of him; I, your
servant, will go out and have a fight with this Philistine.
17:32 And David said to Saul, Let no man's heart fail because of him; your servant will go and fight with this Philistine.
17:33 사울이 다윗에게 이르되 네가 가서 저 블레셋 사람과 싸우기에 능치 못하리니
너는 소년이요 그는 어려서부터 용사임이니라
17:33 And Saul said to David, You are not able to go out against this Philistine and have
a fight with him: for you are only a boy, and he has been a man of war from his
earliest days.
17:33 And Saul said to David, You are not able to go against this Philistine to fight with him: for you are but a youth, and he a man of war from his youth.
17:34 다윗이 사울에게 고하되 주의 종이 아비의 양을 지킬 때에 사자나 곰이
와서 양 떼에서 새끼를 움키면
17:34 And David said to Saul, Your servant has been keeper of his father's sheep; and
if a lion or a bear came and took a lamb from the flock,
17:34 And David said unto Saul, Your servant kept his father's sheep, and there came a lion, and a bear, and took a lamb out of the flock:
17:35 내가 따라가서 그것을 치고 그 입에서 새끼를 건져내었고 그것이 일어나
나를 해하고자 하면 내가 그 수염을 잡고 그것을 쳐죽였었나이다
17:35 I went out after him, and overcame him, and took it out of his mouth: and if, turning
on me, he came at me, I took him by the hair and overcame him and put him to death.
17:35 And I went out after him, and stroke him, and delivered it out of his mouth: and when he arose against me, I caught him by his beard, and stroke him, and slew him.
17:36 주의 종이 사자와 곰도 쳤은즉 사시는 하나님의 군대를 모욕한 이 할례
없는 블레셋 사람이리이까 그가 그 짐승의 하나와 같이 되리이다
17:36 Your servant has overcome lion and bear: and the fate of this Philistine, who is
without circumcision, will be like theirs, seeing that he has put shame on the armies
of the living God.
17:36 Your servant slew both the lion and the bear: and this uncircumcised Philistine shall be as one of them, seeing he has defied the armies of the living God.
17:37 또 가로되 여호와께서 나를 사자의 발톱과 곰의 발톱에서 건져내셨은즉
나를 이 블레셋 사람의 손에서도 건져내시리이다 사울이 다윗에게 이르되 가라 여호와께서
너와 함께 계시기를 원하노라
17:37 And David said, The Lord, who kept me safe from the grip of the lion and the bear,
will be my saviour from the hands of this Philistine. And Saul said to David, Go!
and may the Lord be with you.
17:37 David said moreover, The LORD that delivered me out of the paw of the lion, and out of the paw of the bear, he will deliver me out of the hand of this Philistine. And Saul said unto David, Go, and the LORD be with you.
17:38 이에 사울이 자기 군복을 다윗에게 입히고 놋 투구를 그 머리에 씌우고 또
그에게 갑옷을 입히매
17:38 Then Saul gave David his clothing of war, and put a head-dress of brass on his head
and had him clothed with a coat of metal.
17:38 And Saul armed David with his armour, and he put an helmet of brass upon his head; also he armed him with a coat of armour formed by chains.
17:39 다윗이 칼을 군복 위에 차고는 익숙치 못하므로 시험적으로 걸어 보다가
사울에게 고하되 익숙치 못하니 이것을 입고 가지 못하겠나이다 하고 곧 벗고
17:39 And David took Saul's sword and put the band round him over the metal coat, and
was unable to go forward; for he was not used to them. Then David said to Saul,
It is not possible for me to go out with these, for I am not used to them. So David
took them off.
17:39 And David girded his sword upon his armour, and he assayed to go; for he had not proved it. And David said unto Saul, I cannot go with these; for I have not proved them. And David put them off him.
17:40 손에 막대기를 가지고 시내에서 매끄러운 돌 다섯을 골라서 자기 목자의
제구 곧 주머니에 넣고 손에 물매를 가지고 블레셋 사람에게로 나아가니라
17:40 Then he took his stick in his hand, and got five smooth stones from the bed of the
stream and put them in a bag such as is used by sheep-keepers; and in his hand was
a leather band used for sending stones: and so he went in the direction of the Philistine.
17:40 And he took his staff in his hand, and chose him five smooth stones out of the brook, and put them in a shepherd's bag which he had, even in a pouch; and his sling was in his hand: and he drew near to the Philistine.
17:41 블레셋 사람이 점점 행하여 다윗에게로 나아오는데 방패 든 자가 앞섰더라
17:41 And the Philistine came nearer to David; and the man who had his body-cover went
before him.
17:41 And the Philistine came on and drew near unto David; and the man that bare the shield went before him.
17:42 그 블레셋 사람이 둘러보다가 다윗을 보고 업신여기니 이는 그가 젊고 붉고
용모가 아름다움이라
17:42 And when the Philistine, taking note, saw David, he had a poor opinion of him: for
he was only a boy, red-haired and good-looking.
17:42 And when the Philistine looked about, and saw David, he disdained him: for he was but a youth, and rosy, and of a fair countenance.
17:43 블레셋 사람이 다윗에게 이르되 네가 나를 개로 여기고 막대기를 가지고
내게 나아왔느냐 하고 그 신들의 이름으로 다윗을 저주하고
17:43 And the Philistine said to David, Am I a dog, that you come out to me with sticks?
And the Philistine put curses on David by all his gods.
17:43 And the Philistine said unto David, Am I a dog, that you come to me with staves? And the Philistine cursed David by his gods.
17:44 또 이르되 내게로 오라 내가 네 고기를 공중의 새들과 들짐승들에게 주리라
17:44 And the Philistine said to David, Come here to me, and I will give your flesh to
the birds of the air and the beasts of the field.
17:44 And the Philistine said to David, Come to me, and I will give your flesh unto the fowls of the air, and to the beasts of the field.
17:45 다윗이 블레셋 사람에게 이르되 너는 칼과 창과 단창으로 내게 오거니와
나는 만군의 여호와의 이름 곧 네가 모욕하는 이스라엘 군대의 하나님의 이름으로
네게 가노라
17:45 Then David said to the Philistine, You come to me with a sword and a spear and a
javelin: but I come to you in the name of the Lord of armies, the God of the armies
of Israel on which you have put shame.
17:45 Then said David to the Philistine, You come to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield: but I come to you in the name of the LORD of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied.
17:46 오늘 여호와께서 너를 내 손에 붙이시리니 내가 너를 쳐서 네 머리를 베고
블레셋 군대의 시체로 오늘날 공중의 새와 땅의 들짐승에게 주어 온 땅으로 이스라엘에
하나님이 계신 줄 알게 하겠고
17:46 This day the Lord will give you up into my hands, and I will overcome you, and take
your head off you; and I will give the bodies of the Philistine army to the birds
of the air and the beasts of the earth today, so that all the earth may see that
Israel has a God;
17:46 This day will the LORD deliver you into mine hand; and I will strike you, and take yours head from you; and I will give the carcasses of the host of the Philistines this day unto the fowls of the air, and to the wild beasts of the earth; that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel.
17:47 또 여호와의 구원하심이 칼과 창에 있지 아니함을 이 무리로 알게 하리라
전쟁은 여호와께 속한 것인즉 그가 너희를 우리 손에 붙이시리라
17:47 And all these people who are here today may see that the Lord does not give salvation
by sword and spear: for the fight is the Lord's, and he will give you up into our
hands.
17:47 And all this assembly shall know that the LORD saves not with sword and spear: for the battle is the LORD's, and he will give you into our hands.
17:48 블레셋 사람이 일어나 다윗에게로 마주 가까이 올 때에 다윗이 블레셋 사람에게로
마주 그 항오를 향하여 빨리 달리며
17:48 Now when the Philistine made a move and came near to David, David quickly went at
a run in the direction of the army, meeting the Philistine face to face.
17:48 And it came to pass, when the Philistine arose, and came, and drew nigh to meet David, that David hastened, and ran toward the army to meet the Philistine.
17:49 손을 주머니에 넣어 돌을 취하여 물매로 던져 블레셋 사람의 이마를 치매
돌이 그 이마에 박히니 땅에 엎드러지니라
17:49 And David put his hand in his bag and took out a stone and sent it from his leather
band straight at the Philistine, and the stone went deep into his brow, and he went
down to the earth, falling on his face.
17:49 And David put his hand in his bag, and took thence a stone, and slang it, and stroke the Philistine in his forehead, that the stone sunk into his forehead; and he fell upon his face to the earth.
17:50 ○ 다윗이 이같이 물매와 돌로 블레셋 사람을 이기고 그를 쳐죽였으나
자기 손에는 칼이 없었더라
17:50 So David overcame the Philistine with his leather band and a stone, wounding the
Philistine and causing his death: but David had no sword in his hand.
17:50 So David prevailed over the Philistine with a sling and with a stone, and stroke the Philistine, and slew him; but there was no sword in the hand of David.
17:51 다윗이 달려가서 블레셋 사람을 밟고 그의 칼을 그 집에서 빼어내어 그
칼로 그를 죽이고 그 머리를 베니 블레셋 사람들이 자기 용사의 죽음을 보고 도망하는지라
17:51 So running up to the Philistine and putting his foot on him, David took his sword
out of its cover, and put him to death, cutting off his head with it. And when the
Philistines saw that their fighter was dead, they went in flight.
17:51 Therefore David ran, and stood upon the Philistine, and took his sword, and drew it out of the sheath thereof, and slew him, and cut off his head therewith. And when the Philistines saw their champion was dead, they fled.
17:52 이스라엘과 유다 사람들이 일어나서 소리 지르며 블레셋 사람을 쫓아 가이와
에그론 성문까지 이르렀고 블레셋 사람의 상한 자들은 사아라임 가는 길에서부터
가드와 에그론까지 엎드러졌더라
17:52 And the men of Israel and of Judah got up, and gave a cry, and went after the Philistines
as far as Gath and the town doors of Ekron. And the wounded of the Philistines were
falling down by the road from Shaaraim all the way to Gath and Ekron.
17:52 And the men of Israel and of Judah arose, and shouted, and pursued the Philistines, until you come to the valley, and to the gates of Ekron. And the wounded of the Philistines fell down by the way to Shaaraim, even unto Gath, and unto Ekron.
17:53 이스라엘 자손이 블레셋 사람을 쫓다가 돌아와서 그들의 진을 노략하였고
17:53 Then the children of Israel came back from going after the Philistines, and took
their goods from the tents.
17:53 And the children of Israel returned from chasing after the Philistines, and they spoiled their tents.
17:54 다윗은 블레셋 사람의 머리를 예루살렘으로 가져가고 갑주는 자기 장막에
두니라
17:54 And David took the head of the Philistine to Jerusalem, but the metal war-dress
and the arms he put in his tent.
17:54 And David took the head of the Philistine, and brought it to Jerusalem; but he put his armour in his tent.
17:55 ○ 다윗이 블레셋 사람을 향하여 나감을 사울이 보고 군장 아브넬에게 묻되
아브넬아 이 소년이 뉘 아들이냐 아브넬이 가로되 왕이여 왕의 사심으로 맹세하옵나니
내가 알지 못하나이다 하매
17:55 And when Saul saw David going out against the Philistine, he said to Abner, the
captain of the army, Abner, whose son is this young man? And Abner said, On your
life, O king, I have no idea.
17:55 And when Saul saw David go forth against the Philistine, he said unto Abner, the captain of the host, Abner, whose son is this youth? And Abner said, As your soul lives, O king, I cannot tell.
17:56 왕이 가로되 너는 이 청년이 누구의 아들인가 물어보라 하였더니
17:56 And the king said, Make search and see whose son this young man is.
17:56 And the king said, Enquire you whose son the teenager is.
17:57 다윗이 블레셋 사람을 죽이고 돌아올 때에 블레셋 사람의 머리가 그 손에
있는 채 아브넬이 그를 사울의 앞으로 인도하니
17:57 And when David was coming back after the destruction of the Philistine, Abner took
him to Saul, with the head of the Philistine in his hand.
17:57 And as David returned from the slaughter of the Philistine, Abner took him, and brought him before Saul with the head of the Philistine in his hand.
17:58 사울이 그에게 묻되 소년이여 누구의 아들이뇨 다윗이 대답하되 나는 주의
종 베들레헴 사람 이새의 아들이니이다
17:58 And Saul said to him, Young man, whose son are you? And David in answer said, I
am the son of your servant Jesse of Beth-lehem.
17:58 And Saul said to him, Whose son are you, you young man? And David answered, I am the son of your servant Jesse the Bethlehemite.
18:1 다윗이 사울에게 말하기를 마치매 요나단의 마음이 다윗의 마음과 연락되어
요나단이 그를 자기 생명 같이 사랑하니라
18:1 Now after David's talk with Saul was ended, the soul of Jonathan was joined with
the soul of David, and David became as dear to him as his very life.
18:1 And it came to pass, when he had made an end of speaking unto Saul, that the soul of Jonathan was knit with the soul of David, and Jonathan loved him as his own soul.
18:2 그 날에 사울은 다윗을 머무르게 하고 그 아비의 집으로 다시 돌아가기를
허락지 아니하였고
18:2 And that day Saul took David and would not let him go back to his father's house.
18:2 And Saul took him that day, and would let him go no more home to his father's house.
18:3 요나단은 다윗을 자기 생명 같이 사랑하여 더불어 언약을 맺었으며
18:3 Then Jonathan and David made an agreement together, because of Jonathan's love for
David.
18:3 Then Jonathan and David made a covenant, because he loved him as his own soul.
18:4 요나단이 자기의 입었던 겉옷을 벗어 다윗에게 주었고 그 군복과 칼과 활과
띠도 그리하였더라
18:4 And Jonathan took off the robe he had on and gave it to David, with all his military
dress, even to his sword and his bow and the band round his body.
18:4 And Jonathan stripped himself of the robe that was upon him, and gave it to David, and his garments, even to his sword, and to his bow, and to his girdle.
18:5 다윗이 사울의 보내는 곳마다 가서 지혜롭게 행하매 사울이 그로 군대의
장을 삼았더니 온 백성이 합당히 여겼고 사울의 신하들도 합당히 여겼더라
18:5 And David went wherever Saul sent him, and did wisely: and Saul put him at the head
of his men of war, and this was pleasing to all the people as well as to Saul's
servants.
18:5 And David went out anywhere Saul sent him, and behaved himself wisely: and Saul set him over the men of war, and he was accepted in the sight of all the people, and also in the sight of Saul's servants.
18:6 ○ 무리가 돌아올 때 곧 다윗이 블레셋 사람을 죽이고 돌아올 때에 여인들이
이스라엘 모든 성에서 나와서 노래하며 춤추며 소고와 경쇠를 가지고 왕 사울을 환영하는데
18:6 Now on their way, when David came back after the destruction of the Philistine,
the women came out of all the towns of Israel, with songs and dances, meeting David
with melody and joy and instruments of music.
18:6 And it came to pass as they came, when David was returned from the slaughter of the Philistine, that the women came out of all cities of Israel, singing and dancing, to meet king Saul, with timbrels, with joy, and with instruments of music.
18:7 여인들이 뛰놀며 창화하여 가로되 사울의 죽인 자는 천천이요 다윗은
만만이로다 한지라
18:7 And the women, answering one another in their song, said, Saul has put to death
his thousands and David his tens of thousands.
18:7 And the women answered one another as they played, and said, Saul has slain his thousands, and David his ten thousands.
18:8 사울이 이 말에 불쾌하여 심히 노하여 가로되 다윗에게는 만만을 돌리고
내게는 천천만 돌리니 그의 더 얻을 것이 나라 밖에 무엇이냐 하고
18:8 And Saul was very angry and this saying was unpleasing to him; and he said, They
have given David credit for tens of thousands, and to me for only thousands: what
more is there for him but the kingdom?
18:8 And Saul was very angry, and the saying displeased him; and he said, They have ascribed unto David ten thousands, and to me they have ascribed but thousands: and what can he have more but the kingdom?
18:9 그 날 후로 사울이 다윗을 주목하였더라
18:9 And from that day Saul was looking with envy on David.
18:9 And Saul eyed David from that day and forward.
18:10 ○ 그 이튿날 하나님의 부리신 악신이 사울에게 힘 있게 내리매 그가 집
가운데서 야료하는 고로 다윗이 평일과 같이 손으로 수금을 타는데 때에 사울의 손에
창이 있는지라
18:10 Now on the day after, an evil spirit from God came on Saul with great force and
he was acting like a prophet among the men of his house, while David was making
music for him, as he did day by day: and Saul had his spear in his hand.
18:10 And it came to pass on the next day, that the evil spirit from God came upon Saul, and he prophesied in the midst of the house: and David played with his hand, as at other times: and there was a javelin in Saul's hand.
18:11 그가 스스로 이르기를 내가 다윗을 벽에 박으리라 하고 그 창을 던졌으나
다윗이 그 앞에서 두 번 피하였더라
18:11 And Saul, balancing the spear in his hand, said, I will give David a blow, pinning
him to the wall. And David got away from him twice.
18:11 And Saul cast the javelin; for he said, I will strike David even to the wall with it. And David avoided out of his presence twice.
18:12 여호와께서 사울을 떠나 다윗과 함께 계시므로 사울이 그를 두려워한지라
18:12 And Saul went in fear of David, because the Lord was with David and had gone away
from Saul.
18:12 And Saul was afraid of David, because the LORD was with him, and was departed from Saul.
18:13 그러므로 사울이 그로 자기를 떠나게 하고 천부장을 삼으매 그가 백성 앞에
출입하며
18:13 So Saul sent him away, and made him a captain over a thousand; and he went about
his business before the people.
18:13 Therefore Saul removed him from him, and made him his captain over a thousand; and he went out and came in before the people.
18:14 그 모든 일을 지혜롭게 행하니라 여호와께서 그와 함께 계시니라
18:14 And in all his undertakings David did wisely; and the Lord was with him.
18:14 And David behaved himself wisely in all his ways; and the LORD was with him.
18:15 사울이 다윗의 크게 지혜롭게 행함을 보고 그를 두려워하였으나
18:15 And when Saul saw how wisely he did, he was in fear of him.
18:15 Wherefore when Saul saw that he behaved himself very wisely, he was afraid of him.
18:16 온 이스라엘과 유다는 다윗을 사랑하였으니 그가 자기들 앞에 출입함을
인함이었더라
18:16 But David was loved by all Israel and Judah, for he went out and came in before
them.
18:16 But all Israel and Judah loved David, because he went out and came in before them.
18:17 ○ 사울이 다윗에게 이르되 내 맏딸 메랍을 네게 아내로 주리니 오직 너는
나를 위하여 용맹을 내어 여호와의 싸움을 싸우라 하니 이는 그가 생각하기를 내
손을 그에게 대지 말고 블레셋 사람의 손으로 그에게 대게 하리라 함이라
18:17 And Saul said to David, Here is my oldest daughter Merab, whom I will give you for
your wife: only be strong for me, fighting in the Lord's wars. For Saul said, Let
it not be through me that his fate comes to him, but through the Philistines.
18:17 And Saul said to David, Behold my elder daughter Merab, her will I give you to wife: only be you valiant for me, and fight the LORD's battles. For Saul said, Let not mine hand be upon him, but let the hand of the Philistines be upon him.
18:18 다윗이 사울에게 이르되 내가 누구며 이스라엘 중에 내 친속이나 내 아비의
집이 무엇이관대 내가 왕의 사위가 되리이까 하였더니
18:18 And David said to Saul, Who am I, and what is my father's family in Israel, that
I am to be son-in-law to the king?
18:18 And David said unto Saul, Who am I? and what is my life, or my father's family in Israel, that I should be son in law to the king?
18:19 사울의 딸 메랍을 다윗에게 줄 시기에 므훌랏 사람 아드리엘에게 아내로
준 바 되었더라
18:19 But when the time came to give Merab, Saul's daughter, to David, she was given to
Adriel of Meholath.
18:19 But it came to pass at the time when Merab Saul's daughter should have been given to David, that she was given unto Adriel the Meholathite to wife.
18:20 사울의 딸 미갈이 다윗을 사랑하매 혹이 사울에게 고한지라 사울이 그 일을
좋게 여겨
18:20 And Saul's daughter Michal was in love with David: and Saul had word of it and was
pleased.
18:20 And Michal Saul's daughter loved David: and they told Saul, and the thing pleased him.
18:21 스스로 이르되 내가 딸을 그에게 주어서 그에게 올무가 되게 하고 블레셋
사람의 손으로 그를 치게 하리라 하고 이에 다윗에게 이르되 네가 오늘 다시 내 사위가
되리라 하니라
18:21 And Saul said, I will give her to him, so that she may be a cause of danger to him,
and so that the hands of the Philistines may be against him. So Saul said to David,
Today you are to become my son-in-law for the second time.
18:21 And Saul said, I will give him her, that she may be a snare to him, and that the hand of the Philistines may be against him. Wherefore Saul said to David, You shall this day be my son in law in the one of the two.
18:22 ○ 사울이 그 신하들에게 명하되 너희는 다윗에게 비밀히 말하여 이르기를
보라 왕이 너를 기뻐하시고 모든 신하도 너를 사랑하나니 그런즉 네가 왕의 사위가
되는 것이 가하니라 하라
18:22 And Saul gave his servants orders saying, Have talk with David secretly and say
to him, See how the king has delight in you, and how you are loved by all his servants:
then be the king's son-in-law.
18:22 And Saul commanded his servants, saying, Commune with David secretly, and say, Behold, the king has delight in you, and all his servants love you: now therefore be the king's son in law.
18:23 사울의 신하들이 이 말로 다윗의 귀에 고하매 다윗이 가로되 왕의 사위
되는 것을 너희는 경한 일로 보느냐 나는 가난하고 천한 사람이로라 한지라
18:23 And Saul's servants said these things to David. And David said, Does it seem to
you a small thing to be the king's son-in-law, seeing that I am a poor man, of no
great name?
18:23 And Saul's servants spoke those words in the ears of David. And David said, Seems it to you a light thing to be a king's son in law, seeing that I am a poor man, and lightly esteemed?
18:24 사울의 신하들이 사울에게 고하여 가로되 다윗이 여차여차히 말하더이다
18:24 And the servants of Saul gave him an account of what David had said.
18:24 And the servants of Saul told him, saying, On this manner spoke David.
18:25 사울이 가로되 너희는 다윗에게 이같이 말하기를 왕이 아무 폐백도 원치
아니하고 다만 왕의 원수의 보복으로 블레셋 사람의 양피 일백을 원하신다 하라 하였으니
이는 사울의 생각에 다윗을 블레셋 사람의 손에 죽게 하리라 함이라
18:25 And Saul said, Then say to David, The king has no desire for any bride-price, but
only for the private parts of a hundred Philistines so that the king may get the
better of his haters. But it was in Saul's mind that David might come to his end
by the hands of the Philistines.
18:25 And Saul said, Thus shall all of you say to David, The king desires not any dowry, but an hundred foreskins of the Philistines, to be avenged of the king's enemies. But Saul thought to make David fall by the hand of the Philistines.
18:26 사울의 신하들이 이 말로 다윗에게 고하매 다윗이 왕의 사위 되는 것을
좋게 여기므로 만기가 되지 못하여서
18:26 And when his servants said these words to David, he was well pleased to be the son-in-law
of the king. And the days were still not past.
18:26 And when his servants told David these words, it pleased David well to be the king's son in law: and the days were not expired.
18:27 다윗이 일어나서 그 종자와 함께 가서 블레셋 사람 이백 명을 죽이고 그
양피를 가져다가 수대로 왕께 드려 왕의 사위가 되고자 하니 사울이 그 딸 미갈을
다윗에게 아내로 주었더라
18:27 So David and his men got up and went, and put to death two hundred of the Philistines;
and David took their private parts and gave the full number of them to the king,
so that he might be the king's son-in-law. And Saul gave him his daughter Michal
for his wife.
18:27 Wherefore David arose and went, he and his men, and slew of the Philistines two hundred men; and David brought their foreskins, and they gave them in full tale to the king, that he might be the king's son in law. And Saul gave him Michal his daughter to wife.
18:28 여호와께서 다윗과 함께 계심을 사울이 보고 알았고 사울의 딸 미갈도 그를
사랑하므로
18:28 And it was clear to Saul that the Lord was with David; and he was loved by all Israel.
18:28 And Saul saw and knew that the LORD was with David, and that Michal Saul's daughter loved him.
18:29 사울이 다윗을 더욱 더욱 두려워하여 평생에 다윗의 대적이 되니라
18:29 And Saul's fear of David became all the greater, and he went on hating him, day
by day.
18:29 And Saul was yet the more afraid of David; and Saul became David's enemy continually.
18:30 ○ 블레셋 사람의 방백들이 나오면 그들의 나올 때마다 다윗이 사울의 모든
신하보다 더 지혜롭게 행하매 이에 그 이름이 심히 귀중히 되니라
18:30 Then the rulers of the Philistines went out to war: and whenever they went out,
David did more wisely than all the other servants of Saul, so that his name became
greatly honoured.
18:30 Then the princes of the Philistines went forth: and it came to pass, after they went forth, that David behaved himself more wisely than all the servants of Saul; so that his name was much set by.
19:1 사울이 그 아들 요나단과 그 모든 신하에게 다윗을 죽이라 말하였더니 사울의
아들 요나단이 다윗을 심히 기뻐하므로
19:1 And Saul gave orders to his son Jonathan and to all his servants to put David to
death. But Saul's son Jonathan had great delight in David.
19:1 And Saul spoke to Jonathan his son, and to all his servants, that they should kill David.
19:2 그가 다윗에게 고하여 가로되 내 부친 사울이 너를 죽이기를 꾀하시느니라
그러므로 이제 청하노니 아침에 조심하여 은밀한 곳에 숨어 있으라
19:2 And Jonathan said to David, Saul, my father, is purposing your death: so now, take
care in the morning, and keep yourself safe in a secret place:
19:2 But Jonathan Saul's son delighted much in David: and Jonathan told David, saying, Saul my father seeks to kill you: now therefore, I pray you, take heed to yourself until the morning, and abide in a secret place, and hide yourself:
19:3 내가 나가서 너 있는 들에서 내 부친 곁에 서서 네 일을 내 부친과 말하다가
무엇을 보거든 네게 알게 하리라 하고
19:3 And I will go out and take my place by my father's side in the field near where
you are; and I will get into talk with my father about you, and when I see how things
are, I will give you word.
19:3 And I will go out and stand beside my father in the field where you are, and I will commune with my father of you; and what I see, that I will tell you.
19:4 요나단이 그 아비 사울에게 다윗을 포장하여 가로되 원컨대 왕은 신하 다윗에게
범죄치 마옵소서 그는 왕께 득죄하지 아니하였고 그가 왕께 행한 일은 심히 선함이니이다
19:4 And Jonathan gave his father Saul a good account of David, and said to him, Let
not the king do wrong against his servant, against David; because he has done you
no wrong, and all his acts have had a good outcome for you:
19:4 And Jonathan spoke good of David unto Saul his father, and said unto him, Let not the king sin against his servant, against David; because he has not sinned against you, and because his works have been toward you very good:
19:5 그가 자기 생명을 아끼지 아니하고 블레셋 사람을 죽였고 여호와께서는 온
이스라엘을 위하여 큰 구원을 이루셨으므로 왕이 이를 보고 기뻐하셨거늘 어찌 무고히
다윗을 죽여 무죄한 피를 흘려 범죄하려 하시나이까
19:5 For he put his life in danger and overcame the Philistine, and the Lord gave all
Israel salvation: you saw it and were glad: why then are you sinning against him
who has done no wrong, desiring the death of David without cause?
19:5 For he did put his life in his hand, and slew the Philistine, and the LORD wrought a great salvation for all Israel: you saw it, and did rejoice: wherefore then will you sin against innocent blood, to slay David without a cause?
19:6 사울이 요나단의 말을 듣고 맹세하되 여호와께서 사시거니와 그가 죽임을
당치 아니하리라
19:6 And Saul gave ear to the voice of Jonathan, and said with an oath, By the living
Lord, he is not to be put to death.
19:6 And Saul hearkened unto the voice of Jonathan: and Saul swore, As the LORD lives, he shall not be slain.
19:7 요나단이 다윗을 불러 그 모든 일을 알게 하고 그를 사울에게로 인도하니
그가 사울 앞에 여전히 있으니라
19:7 Then Jonathan sent for David and gave him word of all these things. And Jonathan
took David to Saul, who kept him by his side as in the past.
19:7 And Jonathan called David, and Jonathan showed him all those things. And Jonathan brought David to Saul, and he was in his presence, as in times past.
19:8 ○ 전쟁이 다시 있으므로 다윗이 나가서 블레셋 사람들과 싸워 그들을 크게
도륙하매 그들이 그 앞에서 도망하니라
19:8 And there was war again: and David went out fighting the Philistines, causing great
destruction among them; and they went in flight before him.
19:8 And there was war again: and David went out, and fought with the Philistines, and slew them with a great slaughter; and they fled from him.
19:9 사울이 손에 단창을 가지고 그 집에 앉았을 때에 여호와의 부리신 악신이
사울에게 접하였으므로 다윗이 손으로 수금을 탈 때에
19:9 And an evil spirit from the Lord came on Saul, when he was seated in his house with
his spear in his hand; and David made music for him.
19:9 And the evil spirit from the LORD was upon Saul, as he sat in his house with his javelin in his hand: and David played with his hand.
19:10 사울이 단창으로 다윗을 벽에 박으려 하였으나 그는 사울의 앞을 피하고
사울의 창은 벽에 박힌지라 다윗이 그 밤에 도피하매
19:10 And Saul would have sent his spear through him, pinning him to the wall, but he
got away and the spear went into the wall: and that night David went in flight and
got away.
19:10 And Saul sought to strike David even to the wall with the javelin: but he slipped away out of Saul's presence, and he stroke the javelin into the wall: and David fled, and escaped that night.
19:11 사울이 사자들을 다윗의 집에 보내어 그를 지키다가 아침에 그를 죽이게
하려 한지라 다윗의 아내 미갈이 다윗에게 일러 가로되 당신이 이 밤에 당신의 생명을
구하지 아니하면 내일에는 죽임을 당하리라 하고
19:11 Then in that night Saul sent men to David's house to keep watch on him so as to
put him to death in the morning: and David's wife Michal said to him, If you do
not go away to a safe place tonight you will be put to death in the morning.
19:11 Saul also sent messengers unto David's house, to watch him, and to slay him in the morning: and Michal David's wife told him, saying, If you save not your life to night, tomorrow you shall be slain.
19:12 미갈이 다윗을 창에서 달아 내리우매 그가 도망하여 피하니라
19:12 So Michal let David down through the window, and he went in flight and got away.
19:12 So Michal let David down through a window: and he went, and fled, and escaped.
19:13 미갈이 우상을 취하여 침상에 뉘고 염소 털로 엮은 것을 그 머리에 씌우고
의복으로 그것을 덮었더니
19:13 Then Michal took the image and put it in the bed, with a cushion of goat's hair
at its head, and she put clothing over it.
19:13 And Michal took an image, and laid it in the bed, and put a pillow of goats' hair for his bolster, and covered it with a cloth.
19:14 사울이 사자들을 보내어 다윗을 잡으려 하매 미갈이 가로되 그가 병들었느니라
19:14 And when Saul sent men to take David, she said, He is ill.
19:14 And when Saul sent messengers to take David, she said, He is sick.
19:15 사울이 또 사자들을 보내어 다윗을 보라 하며 이르되 그를 침상 채 내게로
가져오라 내가 그를 죽이리라
19:15 And Saul sent his men to see David, saying, Do not come back without him, take him
in his bed, so that I may put him to death.
19:15 And Saul sent the messengers again to see David, saying, Bring him up to me in the bed, that I may slay him.
19:16 사자들이 들어가 본즉 침상에 우상이 있고 염소 털로 엮은 것이 그 머리에
있었더라
19:16 And when the men came in, there was the image in the bed, with the cushion of goat's
hair at its head
19:16 And when the messengers were come in, behold, there was an image in the bed, with a pillow of goats' hair for his bolster.
19:17 사울이 미갈에게 이르되 너는 어찌하여 이처럼 나를 속여 내 대적을 놓아
피하게 하였느냐 미갈이 사울에게 대답하되 그가 내게 이르기를 나를 놓아 가게 하라
어찌하여 나로 너를 죽이게 하겠느냐 하더이다 하니라
19:17 And Saul said to Michal, why have you been false to me, letting my hater go and
get safely away? And in answer Michal said to Saul, He said to me, Let me go, or
I will put you to death.
19:17 And Saul said unto Michal, Why have you deceived me so, and sent away mine enemy, that he is escaped? And Michal answered Saul, He said unto me, Let me go; why should I kill you?
19:18 ○ 다윗이 도피하여 라마로 가서 사무엘에게로 나아가서 사울이 자기에게
행한 일을 다 고하였고 다윗과 사무엘이 나욧으로 가서 거하였더라
19:18 So David went in flight and got away and came to Ramah, to Samuel, and gave him
an account of all Saul had done to him. And he and Samuel went and were living in
Naioth.
19:18 So David fled, and escaped, and came to Samuel to Ramah, and told him all that Saul had done to him. And he and Samuel went and dwelt in Naioth.
19:19 혹이 사울에게 고하여 가로되 다윗이 라마 나욧에 있더이다 하매
19:19 And word was given to Saul that David was at Naioth in Ramah.
19:19 And it was told Saul, saying, Behold, David is at Naioth in Ramah.
19:20 사울이 다윗을 잡으려 사자들을 보내었더니 그들이 선지자 무리의 예언하는
것과 사무엘이 그들의 수령으로 선 것을 볼 때에 하나님의 신이 사울의 사자들에게
임하매 그들도 예언을 한지라
19:20 And Saul sent men to take David; and when they saw the band of prophets at work,
with Samuel in his place at their head, the spirit of God came on Saul's men, and
they became like prophets.
19:20 And Saul sent messengers to take David: and when they saw the company of the prophets prophesying, and Samuel standing as appointed over them, the Spirit of God was upon the messengers of Saul, and they also prophesied.
19:21 혹이 그것을 사울에게 고하매 사울이 다른 사자들을 보내었더니 그들도
예언을 한 고로 사울이 세 번째 다시 사자들을 보내었더니 그들도 예언을 한지라
19:21 And Saul, having news of this, sent other men, who in the same way became like prophets.
And a third time Saul sent men, and they like the others became like prophets.
19:21 And when it was told Saul, he sent other messengers, and they prophesied likewise. And Saul sent messengers again the third time, and they prophesied also.
19:22 이에 사울도 라마로 가서 세구에 있는 큰 우물에 이르러 물어 가로되 사무엘과
다윗이 어디 있느냐 혹이 가로되 라마 나욧에 있나이다
19:22 Then he himself went to Ramah, and came to the great water-spring in Secu; and questioning
the people he said, Where are Samuel and David? And one said, They are at Naioth
in Ramah.
19:22 Then went he also to Ramah, and came to a great well that is in Sechu: and he asked and said, Where are Samuel and David? And one said, Behold, they be at Naioth in Ramah.
19:23 사울이 라마 나욧으로 가니라 하나님의 신이 그에게도 임하시니 그가 라마
나욧에 이르기까지 행하며 예언을 하였으며
19:23 And he went on from there to Naioth in Ramah: and the spirit of God came on him,
and he went on, acting like a prophet, till he came to Naioth in Ramah.
19:23 And he went thither to Naioth in Ramah: and the Spirit of God was upon him also, and he went on, and prophesied, until he came to Naioth in Ramah.
19:24 그가 또 그 옷을 벗고 사무엘 앞에서 예언을 하며 종일종야에 벌거벗은
몸으로 누웠었더라 그러므로 속담에 이르기를 사울도 선지자 중에 있느냐 하니라
19:24 And he took off his clothing, acting like a prophet before Samuel, and falling down
he was stretched out, without his clothing, all that day and all that night. This
is the reason for the saying, Is even Saul among the prophets?
19:24 And he stripped off his clothes also, and prophesied before Samuel in like manner, and lay down naked all that day and all that night. Wherefore they say, Is Saul also among the prophets?
20:1 다윗이 라마 나욧에서 도망하여 와서 요나단에게 이르되 내가 무엇을 하였으며
내 죄악이 무엇이며 네 부친 앞에서 나의 죄가 무엇이관대 그가 내 생명을 찾느뇨
20:1 And David went in flight from Naioth in Ramah and came to Jonathan and said, What
have I done? What is my crime and my sin against your father that he is attempting
to take my life?
20:1 And David fled from Naioth in Ramah, and came and said before Jonathan, What have I done? what is mine iniquity? and what is my sin before your father, that he seeks my life?
20:2 요나단이 그에게 이르되 결단코 아니라 네가 죽지 아니하리라 내 부친이
대소사를 내게 알게 아니하고는 행함이 없나니 내 부친이 어찌하여 이 일은 내게
숨기리요 그렇지 아니하니라
20:2 And he said to him, Far be the thought: you will not be put to death: see, my father
does nothing, great or small, without giving me word of it: would he keep this secret
from me? It is not so.
20:2 And he said unto him, God forbid; you shall not die: behold, my father will do nothing either great or small, but that he will show it me: and why should my father hide this thing from me? it is not so.
20:3 다윗이 또 맹세하여 가로되 내가 네게 은혜 받은 줄을 네 부친이 밝히 알고
스스로 이르기를 요나단이 슬퍼할까 두려운즉 그로 이를 알게 하지 아니하리라 함이니라
그러나 진실로 여호와의 사심과 네 생명으로 맹세하노니 나와 사망의 사이는 한 걸음
뿐이니라
20:3 But David took his oath again and said, Your father sees that I am dear to you;
so he says to himself, Let Jonathan have no idea of this, for it will be a grief
to him; but as the Lord is living, and as your soul is living, there is only a step
between me and death.
20:3 And David swore moreover, and said, Your father certainly knows that I have found grace in yours eyes; and he says, Let not Jonathan know this, lest he be grieved: but truly as the LORD lives, and as your soul lives, there is but a step between me and death.
20:4 요나단이 다윗에게 이르되 네 마음의 소원이 무엇이든지 내가 너를 위하여
그것을 이루리라
20:4 Then Jonathan said to David, Whatever your desire is, I will do it for you.
20:4 Then said Jonathan unto David, Whatsoever your soul desires, I will even do it for you.
20:5 다윗이 요나단에게 이르되 내일은 월삭인즉 내가 마땅히 왕을 모시고 앉아
식사를 하여야 할 것이나 나를 보내어 제 삼 일 저녁까지 들에 숨게 하고
20:5 And David said to Jonathan, Tomorrow is the new moon, and I will not be seated with
the king at his table: but let me go to a safe place in the country till the evening.
20:5 And David said unto Jonathan, Behold, tomorrow is the new moon, and I should not fail to sit with the king at food: but let me go, that I may hide myself in the field unto the third day at even.
20:6 네 부친이 만일 나를 자세히 묻거든 그 때에 너는 말하기를 다윗이 자기
성 베들레헴으로 급히 가기를 내게 허하라 간청하였사오니 이는 온 가족을 위하여
거기서 매년제를 드릴 때가 됨이니이다 하라
20:6 And if your father takes note of the fact that I am away, say, David made a request
to me for himself that he might go to Beth-lehem, to his town: for it is the time
when his family make their offering year by year.
20:6 If your father at all miss me, then say, David earnestly asked leave of me that he might run to Bethlehem his city: for there is a yearly sacrifice there for all the family.
20:7 그의 말이 좋다 하면 네 종이 평안하려니와 그가 만일 노하면 나를 해하려고
결심한 줄을 알지니
20:7 If he says, It is well, your servant will be at peace: but if he is angry, then
it will be clear to you that he has an evil purpose in mind against me.
20:7 If he say thus, It is well; your servant shall have peace: but if he be very angry, then be sure that evil is determined by him.
20:8 그런즉 원컨대 네 종에게 인자히 행하라 네가 네 종으로 여호와 앞에서 너와
맹약케 하였음이니라 그러나 내게 죄악이 있거든 네가 친히 나를 죽이라 나를 네
부친에게로 데려갈 것이 무엇이뇨
20:8 So, then, be kind to your servant; for you have been united with your servant in
an agreement made before the Lord: but if there is any wrongdoing in me, put me
to death yourself; why take me to your father?
20:8 Therefore you shall deal kindly with your servant; for you have brought your servant into a covenant of the LORD with you: notwithstanding, if there be in me iniquity, slay me yourself; for why should you bring me to your father?
20:9 요나단이 가로되 이 일이 결코 네게 있지 아니하리라 내 부친이 너를 해하려
결심한 줄 알면 내가 네게 이르지 아니하겠느냐
20:9 And Jonathan said, Do not have such a thought: for if I saw that my father was designing
evil against you, would I not give you word of it?
20:9 And Jonathan said, Far be it from you: for if I knew certainly that evil were determined by my father to come upon you, then would not I tell it you?
20:10 다윗이 요나단에게 이르되 네 부친이 혹 엄하게 네게 대답하면 누가 그것을
내게 고하겠느냐
20:10 Then David said to Jonathan, Who will give me word if your father gives you a rough
answer?
20:10 Then said David to Jonathan, Who shall tell me? or what if your father answer you roughly?
20:11 요나단이 다윗에게 이르되 오라 우리가 들로 가자 하고 두 사람이 들로
가니라
20:11 And Jonathan said to David, Come, let us go out into the country. And the two of
them went out together into the open country.
20:11 And Jonathan said unto David, Come, and let us go out into the field. And they went out both of them into the field.
20:12 ○ 요나단이 다윗에게 이르되 이스라엘의 하나님 여호와께서 증거하시거니와
내가 내일이나 모레 이맘때에 내 부친을 살펴서 너 다윗에게 대한 의향이 선하면
내가 보내어 네게 알게 하지 않겠느냐
20:12 And Jonathan said to David, May the Lord, the God of Israel, be witness; when I
have had a chance of talking to my father, about this time tomorrow, if his feelings
to David are good, will I not send and give you the news?
20:12 And Jonathan said unto David, O LORD God of Israel, when I have sounded my father about tomorrow any time, or the third day, and, behold, if there be good toward David, and I then send not unto you, and show it you;
20:13 그러나 만일 내 부친이 너를 해하려 하거늘 내가 이 일을 네게 알게 하여
너를 보내어 평안히 가게 하지 아니하면 여호와께서 나 요나단에게 벌을 내리시고
또 내리시기를 원하노라 여호와께서 내 부친과 함께 하신 것 같이 너와 함께 하시기를
원하노니
20:13 May the Lord's punishment be on Jonathan, if it is my father's pleasure to do you
evil and I do not give you word of it and send you away so that you may go in peace:
and may the Lord be with you, as he has been with my father.
20:13 The LORD do so and much more to Jonathan: but if it please my father to do you evil, then I will show it you, and send you away, that you may go in peace: and the LORD be with you, as he has been with my father.
20:14 너는 나의 사는 날 동안에 여호와의 인자를 내게 베풀어서 나로 죽지 않게
할 뿐 아니라
20:14 And may you, while I am still living, O may you be kind to me, as the Lord is kind,
and keep me from death!
20:14 And you shall not only while yet I live show me the kindness of the LORD, that I die not:
20:15 여호와께서 너 다윗의 대적들을 지면에서 다 끊어 버리신 때에도 너는 네
인자를 내 집에서 영영히 끊어 버리지 말라 하고
20:15 And let not your mercy ever be cut off from my family, even when the Lord has sent
destruction on all David's haters, cutting them off from the face of the earth.
20:15 But also you shall not cut off your kindness from my house for ever: no, not when the LORD has cut off the enemies of David every one from the face of the earth.
20:16 이에 요나단이 다윗의 집과 언약하기를 여호와께서는 다윗의 대적들을 치실지어다
하니라
20:16 And if it comes about that the name of Jonathan is cut off from the family of David,
the Lord will make David responsible.
20:16 So Jonathan made a covenant with the house of David, saying, Let the LORD even require it at the hand of David's enemies.
20:17 ○ 요나단이 다윗을 사랑하므로 그로 다시 맹세케 하였으니 이는 자기 생명을
사랑함 같이 그를 사랑함이었더라
20:17 And Jonathan again took an oath to David, because of his love for him: for David
was as dear to him as his very soul.
20:17 And Jonathan caused David to swear again, because he loved him: for he loved him as he loved his own soul.
20:18 요나단이 다윗에게 이르되 내일은 월삭인즉 네 자리가 비므로 네가 없음을
자세히 물으실 것이라
20:18 Then Jonathan said to him, Tomorrow is the new moon: and it will be seen that you
are not present, for there will be no one in your seat.
20:18 Then Jonathan said to David, Tomorrow is the new moon: and you shall be missed, because your seat will be empty.
20:19 너는 사흘을 있다가 빨리 내려가서 그 일이 있던 날에 숨었던 곳에 이르러
에셀 바위 곁에 있으라
20:19 And on the third day it will be specially noted, and you will go to the place where
you took cover when the other business was in hand, waiting by the hill over there.
20:19 And when you have stayed three days, then you shall go down quickly, and come to the place where you did hide yourself when the business was in hand, and shall remain by the stone Ezel.
20:20 내가 과녁을 쏘려 함 같이 살 셋을 그 곁에 쏘고
20:20 And on the third day I will send arrows from my bow against its side as if at a
mark.
20:20 And I will shoot three arrows on the side thereof, as though I shot at a mark.
20:21 아이를 보내어 가서 살을 찾으라 하며 내가 짐짓 아이에게 이르기를 보라
살이 네 이편에 있으니 가져오라 하거든 너는 돌아올지니 여호와께서 사시거니와
네가 평안 무사할 것이요
20:21 And I will send my boy to have a look for the arrow. And if I say to him, See, the
arrow is on this side of you; take it up! then you may come; for there is peace
for you and no evil, by the living Lord.
20:21 And, behold, I will send a lad, saying, Go, find out the arrows. If I expressly say unto the lad, Behold, the arrows are on this side of you, take them; then come you: for there is peace to you, and no hurt; as the LORD lives.
20:22 만일 아이에게 이르기를 보라 살이 네 앞편에 있다 하거든 네 길을 가라
여호와께서 너를 보내셨음이니라
20:22 But if I say to the boy, See, the arrow has gone past you: then go on your way,
for the Lord has sent you away.
20:22 But if I say thus unto the young man, Behold, the arrows are beyond you; go your way: for the LORD has sent you away.
20:23 너와 내가 말한 일에 대하여는 여호와께서 너와 나 사이에 영영토록 계시느니라
20:23 As for what you and I were talking of, the Lord is between you and me for ever.
20:23 And as concerning the matter which you and I have spoken of, behold, the LORD be between you and me for ever.
20:24 ○ 다윗이 들에 숨으니라 월삭이 되매 왕이 앉아 음식을 먹을 때에
20:24 So David went to a secret place in the country: and when the new moon came, the
king took his place at the feast.
20:24 So David hid himself in the field: and when the new moon was come, the king sat him down to eat food.
20:25 왕은 평시와 같이 벽 곁 자기 자리에 앉았고 요나단은 섰고 아브넬은 사울의
곁에 앉았고 다윗의 자리는 비었으나
20:25 And the king took his seat, as at other times, by the wall: and Jonathan was in
front, and Abner was seated by Saul's side, but there was no one in David's seat.
20:25 And the king sat upon his seat, as at other times, even upon a seat by the wall: and Jonathan arose, and Abner sat by Saul's side, and David's place was empty.
20:26 그러나 그 날에는 사울이 아무 말도 아니하였으니 이는 생각하기를 그에게
무슨 사고가 있어서 부정한가 보다 정녕히 부정한가 보다 하였음이더니
20:26 But Saul said nothing that day, for his thought was, Something has taken place making
him unclean; it is clear that he is not clean.
20:26 Nevertheless Saul spoke not any thing that day: for he thought, Something has befallen him, he is not clean; surely he is not clean.
20:27 이튿날 곧 달의 제 이 일에도 다윗의 자리가 오히려 비었으므로 사울이
그 아들 요나단에게 묻되 이새의 아들이 어찌하여 어제와 오늘 식사에 나오지 아니하느뇨
20:27 And on the day after the new moon, that is, the second day, there was still no one
in David's seat: and Saul said to his son Jonathan, Why has the son of Jesse not
come to the feast yesterday or today?
20:27 And it came to pass on the next day, which was the second day of the month, that David's place was empty: and Saul said unto Jonathan his son, Wherefore comes not the son of Jesse to food, neither yesterday, nor to day?
20:28 요나단이 사울에게 대답하되 다윗이 내게 베들레헴으로 가기를 간청하여
20:28 And answering Saul, Jonathan said, He made a request to me that he might go to Beth-lehem,
20:28 And Jonathan answered Saul, David earnestly asked leave of me to go to Bethlehem:
20:29 가로되 청컨대 나로 가게 하라 우리 가족이 그 성에서 제사할 일이 있으므로
나의 형이 내게 오기를 명하였으니 내가 네게 사랑을 받거든 나로 가서 내 형들을
보게 하라 하였으므로 그가 왕의 식사 자리에 오지 아니하였나이다
20:29 Saying, Our family is making an offering in the town, and my brothers have given
me orders to be there: so now, if I have grace in your eyes, let me go away and
see my brothers. This is why he has not come to the king's table.
20:29 And he said, Let me go, I pray you; for our family has a sacrifice in the city; and my brother, he has commanded me to be there: and now, if I have found favour in yours eyes, let me get away, I pray you, and see my brethren. Therefore he comes not unto the king's table.
20:30 ○ 사울이 요나단에게 노를 발하고 그에게 이르되 패역부도의 계집의 소생아
네가 이새의 아들을 택한 것이 네 수치와 네 어미의 벌거벗은 수치됨을 내가 어찌
알지 못하랴
20:30 Then Saul was moved to wrath against Jonathan, and he said to him, You son of an
evil and uncontrolled woman, have I not seen how you have given your love to the
son of Jesse, to your shame and the shame of your mother?
20:30 Then Saul's anger was kindled against Jonathan, and he said unto him, You son of the perverse rebellious woman, do not I know that you have chosen the son of Jesse to yours own confusion, and unto the confusion of your mother's nakedness?
20:31 이새의 아들이 땅에 사는 동안은 너와 네 나라가 든든히 서지 못하리라
그런즉 이제 보내어 그를 내게로 끌어오라 그는 죽어야 할 자니라
20:31 For while the son of Jesse is living on the earth, your position is unsafe and your
kingdom is in danger. So make him come here to me, for it is certainly right for
him to be put to death.
20:31 For as long as the son of Jesse lives upon the ground, you shall not be established, nor your kingdom. Wherefore now send and fetch him unto me, for he shall surely die.
20:32 요나단이 그 부친 사울에게 대답하여 가로되 그가 죽을 일이 무엇이니이까
무엇을 행하였나이까
20:32 And Jonathan, answering his father Saul, said to him, Why is he to be put to death?
What has he done?
20:32 And Jonathan answered Saul his father, and said unto him, Wherefore shall he be slain? what has he done?
20:33 사울이 요나단에게 단창을 던져 치려 한지라 요나단이 그 부친이 다윗을
죽이기로 결심한 줄 알고
20:33 And Saul, pointing his spear at him, made an attempt to give him a wound: from which
it was clear to Jonathan that his father's purpose was to put David to death.
20:33 And Saul cast a javelin at him to strike him: whereby Jonathan knew that it was determined of his father to slay David.
20:34 심히 노하여 식사 자리에서 떠나고 달의 제 이 일에는 먹지 아니하였으니
이는 그 부친이 다윗을 욕되게 하였으므로 다윗을 위하여 슬퍼함이었더라
20:34 So Jonathan got up from the table, burning with wrath, and took no part in the feast
the second day of the month, being full of grief for David because his father had
put shame on him.
20:34 So Jonathan arose from the table in fierce anger, and did eat no food the second day of the month: for he was grieved for David, because his father had done him shame.
20:35 ○ 아침에 요나단이 작은 아이를 데리고 다윗과 정한 시간에 들로 나가서
20:35 Now in the morning, Jonathan went out into the fields at the time he had said to
David, and he had a little boy with him.
20:35 And it came to pass in the morning, that Jonathan went out into the field at the time appointed with David, and a little lad with him.
20:36 아이에게 이르되 달려가서 나의 쏘는 살을 찾으라 하고 아이가 달려갈 때에
요나단이 살을 그의 위로 지나치게 쏘니라
20:36 And he said to the boy, Go and get the arrow I let loose from my bow. And while
the boy was running, he sent an arrow past him.
20:36 And he said unto his lad, Run, find out now the arrows which I shoot. And as the lad ran, he shot an arrow beyond him.
20:37 아이가 요나단의 쏜 살 있는 곳에 이를 즈음에 요나단이 아이 뒤에서 외쳐
가로되 살이 네 앞편에 있지 아니하냐 하고
20:37 And when the boy came to the place where the arrow was, Jonathan, crying out after
the boy, said, Has it not gone past you?
20:37 And when the lad was come to the place of the arrow which Jonathan had shot, Jonathan cried after the lad, and said, Is not the arrow beyond you?
20:38 요나단이 아이 뒤에서 또 외치되 지체 말고 빨리 달음질하라 하매 요나단의
아이가 살을 주워 가지고 주인에게로 돌아왔으나
20:38 And Jonathan went on crying out after the boy, Be quick, do not keep waiting about,
go quickly. And Jonathan's boy got the arrow and came back to his master.
20:38 And Jonathan cried after the lad, Make speed, haste, stay not. And Jonathan's lad gathered up the arrows, and came to his master.
20:39 그 아이는 아무런지 알지 못하고 요나단과 다윗만 그 일을 알았더라
20:39 But the boy had no idea what was going on; only Jonathan and David had knowledge
of it.
20:39 But the lad knew not any thing: only Jonathan and David knew the matter.
20:40 요나단이 그 병기를 아이에게 주며 이르되 이것을 가지고 성으로 가라
20:40 And Jonathan gave his bow and arrows to the boy, and said to him, Take these and
go back to the town.
20:40 And Jonathan gave his artillery unto his lad, and said unto him, Go, carry them to the city.
20:41 아이가 가매 다윗이 곧 바위 남편에서 일어나서 땅에 엎드려 세 번 절한
후에 피차 입맞추고 같이 울되 다윗이 더욱 심하더니
20:41 And when the boy had gone, David came from his secret place by the hill, and falling
to the earth went down on his face three times: and they gave one another a kiss,
weeping together, till David's grief was the greater.
20:41 And as soon as the lad was gone, David arose out of a place toward the south, and fell on his face to the ground, and bowed himself three times: and they kissed one another, and wept one with another, until David exceeded.
20:42 요나단이 다윗에게 이르되 평안히 가라 우리 두 사람이 여호와의 이름으로
맹세하여 이르기를 여호와께서 영원히 나와 너 사이에 계시고 내 자손과 네 자손
사이에 계시리라 하였느니라 다윗은 일어나 떠나고 요나단은 성으로 들어오니라
20:42 And Jonathan said to David, Go in peace, for we two have taken an oath, in the name
of the Lord, saying, The Lord will be between me and you, and between my seed and
your seed for ever. Then David went away, and Jonathan went into the town.
20:42 And Jonathan said to David, Go in peace, forasmuch as we have sworn both of us in the name of the LORD, saying, The LORD be between me and you, and between my seed and your seed for ever. And he arose and departed: and Jonathan went into the city.
