9:1 다윗이 가로되 사울의 집에 오히려 남은 사람이 있느냐 내가 요나단을 인하여
그 사람에게 은총을 베풀리라 하니라
9:1 And David said, Is there still anyone of Saul's family living, so that I may be
a friend to him, because of Jonathan?
9:1 And David said, Is there yet any that is left of the house of Saul, that I may show him kindness for Jonathan's sake?
9:2 사울의 종 하나가 있으니 그 이름은 시바라 저를 다윗의 앞으로 부르매 왕이
저에게 묻되 네가 시바냐 가로되 종이 그로소이다
9:2 Now there was of Saul's people a servant named Ziba, and they sent him to David;
and the king said to him, Are you Ziba? And he said, I am.
9:2 And there was of the house of Saul a servant whose name was Ziba. And when they had called him unto David, the king said unto him, Are you Ziba? And he said, Your servant is he.
9:3 왕이 가로되 사울의 집에 남은 사람이 없느냐 내가 그 사람에게 하나님의
은총을 베풀고자 하노라 시바가 왕께 고하되 요나단의 아들 하나가 있는데 절뚝발이니이다
9:3 And the king said, Is there anyone of Saul's family still living, to whom I may
be a friend in God's name? And Ziba said, There is a son of Jonathan, whose feet
are damaged.
9:3 And the king said, Is there not yet any of the house of Saul, that I may show the kindness of God unto him? And Ziba said unto the king, Jonathan has yet a son, which is lame on his feet.
9:4 왕이 저에게 묻되 그가 어디 있느냐 시바가 왕에게 고하되 로드발 암미엘의
아들 마길의 집에 있나이다
9:4 And the king said to him, Where is he? And Ziba said to the king, He is in the house
of Machir, the son of Ammiel, in Lo-debar.
9:4 And the king said unto him, Where is he? And Ziba said unto the king, Behold, he is in the house of Machir, the son of Ammiel, in Lodebar.
9:5 다윗 왕이 사람을 보내어 로드발 암미엘의 아들 마길의 집에서 저를 데려오니
9:5 Then King David sent, and had him taken from Lo-debar, from the house of Machir,
the son of Ammiel.
9:5 Then king David sent, and fetched him out of the house of Machir, the son of Ammiel, from Lodebar.
9:6 사울의 손자 요나단의 아들 므비보셋이 다윗에게 나아와서 엎드려 절하매
다윗이 가로되 므비보셋이여 하니 대답하되 주의 종이 여기 있나이다
9:6 And Mephibosheth, the son of Jonathan, came to David, and falling down on his face,
gave him honour. And David said, Mephibosheth. And answering he said, Your servant
is here.
9:6 Now when Mephibosheth, the son of Jonathan, the son of Saul, was come unto David, he fell on his face, and did reverence. And David said, Mephibosheth. And he answered, Behold your servant!
9:7 다윗이 가로되 무서워 말라 내가 반드시 네 아비 요나단을 인하여 네게 은총을
베풀리라 내가 네 조부 사울의 밭을 다 네게 도로 주겠고 또 너는 항상 내 상에서
먹을지니라
9:7 And David said to him, Have no fear: for truly I will be good to you, because of
your father Jonathan, and I will give back to you all the land which was Saul's;
and you will have a place at my table at all times.
9:7 And David said unto him, Fear not: for I will surely show you kindness for Jonathan your father's sake, and will restore you all the land of Saul your father; and you shall eat bread at my table continually.
9:8 저가 절하여 가로되 이 종이 무엇이관대 왕께서 죽은 개 같은 나를 돌아보시나이까
9:8 And he went down on his face before the king, and said, What is your servant, for
you to take note of a dead dog such as I am?
9:8 And he bowed himself, and said, What is your servant, that you should look upon such a dead dog as I am?
9:9 ○ 왕이 사울의 사환 시바를 불러서 이르되 사울과 그 온 집에 속한 것은
내가 다 네 주인의 아들에게 주었노니
9:9 Then the king sent for Ziba, Saul's servant, and said to him, All the property of
Saul and of his family I have given to your master's son.
9:9 Then the king called to Ziba, Saul's servant, and said unto him, I have given unto your master's son all that pertained to Saul and to all his house.
9:10 너와 네 아들들과 네 종들은 저를 위하여 밭을 갈고 거두어 네 주인의 아들을
공궤하라 그러나 네 주인의 아들 므비보셋은 항상 내 상에서 먹으리라 하니라 시바는
아들이 열 다섯이요 종이 스물이라
9:10 And you and your sons and your servants are to take care of the land for him, and
get in the fruit of it, so that your master's son may have food: but Mephibosheth,
your master's son, will have a place at my table at all times. Now Ziba had fifteen
sons and twenty servants.
9:10 You therefore, and your sons, and your servants, shall till the land for him, and you shall bring in the fruits, that your master's son may have food to eat: but Mephibosheth your master's son shall eat bread always at my table. Now Ziba had fifteen sons and twenty servants.
9:11 시바가 왕께 고하되 내 주 왕께서 온갖 일을 종에게 명하신 대로 종이 준행하겠나이다
하니라 므비보셋은 왕자 중 하나처럼 왕의 상에서 먹으니라
9:11 Then Ziba said to the king, Every order which you have given to your servant will
be done. As for Mephibosheth, he had a place at David's table, like one of the king's
sons.
9:11 Then said Ziba unto the king, According to all that my lord the king has commanded his servant, so shall your servant do. As for Mephibosheth, said the king, he shall eat at my table, as one of the king's sons.
9:12 므비보셋에게 젊은 아들 하나가 있으니 이름은 미가더라 무릇 시바의 집에
거하는 자들은 므비보셋의 종이 되니라
9:12 And Mephibosheth had a young son named Mica. And all the people living in the house
of Ziba were servants to Mephibosheth.
9:12 And Mephibosheth had a young son, whose name was Micha. And all that dwelt in the house of Ziba were servants unto Mephibosheth.
9:13 므비보셋이 항상 왕의 상에서 먹으므로 예루살렘에 거하니라 그는 두 발이
다 절뚝이더라
9:13 So Mephibosheth went on living in Jerusalem; for he took all his meals at the king's
table; and he had not the use of his feet.
9:13 So Mephibosheth dwelt in Jerusalem: for he did eat continually at the king's table; and was lame on both his feet.
10:1 그 후에 암몬 자손의 왕이 죽고 그 아들 하눈이 대신하여 왕이 되니
10:1 Now after this, death came to the king of the children of Ammon, and Hanun, his
son, became king in his place.
10:1 And it came to pass after this, that the king of the children of Ammon died, and Hanun his son reigned in his position.
10:2 다윗이 가로되 내가 나하스의 아들 하눈에게 은총을 베풀되 그 아비가 내게
은총을 베푼 것 같이 하리라 하고 그 신복들을 명하여 그 아비 죽은 것을 조상하라
하니라 다윗의 신복들이 암몬 자손의 땅에 이르매
10:2 And David said, I will be a friend to Hanun, the son of Nahash, as his father was
a friend to me. So David sent his servants, to give him words of comfort on account
of his father. And David's servants came into the land of the children of Ammon.
10:2 Then said David, I will show kindness unto Hanun the son of Nahash, as his father showed kindness unto me. And David sent to comfort him by the hand of his servants for his father. And David's servants came into the land of the children of Ammon.
10:3 암몬 자손의 방백들이 그 주 하눈에게 고하되 왕은 다윗이 조객을 보낸 것이
왕의 부친을 공경함인 줄로 여기시나이까 다윗이 그 신복을 보내어 이 성을 엿보고
탐지하여 함락시키고자 함이 아니니이까
10:3 But the chiefs of the children of Ammon said to Hanun their lord, Does it seem to
you that David is honouring your father by sending comforters to you? has he not
sent his servants to go through the town and make secret observation of it, and
overcome it?
10:3 And the princes of the children of Ammon said unto Hanun their lord, Think you that David does honour your father, that he has sent comforters unto you? has not David rather sent his servants unto you, to search the city, and to spy it out, and to overthrow it?
10:4 이에 하눈이 다윗의 신복들을 잡아 그 수염 절반을 깎고 그 의복의 중동
볼기까지 자르고 돌려보내매
10:4 So Hanun took David's servants, and after cutting off half the hair on their chins,
and cutting off the skirts of their robes up to the middle, he sent them away.
10:4 Wherefore Hanun took David's servants, and shaved off the one half of their beards, and cut off their garments in the middle, even to their buttocks, and sent them away.
10:5 혹이 이 일을 다윗에게 고하니라 그 사람들이 크게 부끄러워하므로 왕이
저희를 맞으러 보내어 이르기를 너희는 수염이 자라기까지 여리고에서 머물다가 돌아오라
하니라
10:5 When David had news of it, he sent men out with the purpose of meeting them on their
way, for the men were greatly shamed: and the king said, Go to Jericho till your
hair is long again, and then come back.
10:5 When they told it unto David, he sent to meet them, because the men were greatly ashamed: and the king said, Tarry at Jericho until your beards be grown, and then return.
10:6 ○ 암몬 자손이 자기가 다윗에게 미움이 된 줄 알고 사람을 보내어 벧르홉
아람 사람과 소바 아람 사람의 보병 이만과 마아가 왕과 그 사람 일천과 돕 사람
일만 이천을 고용한지라
10:6 And when the children of Ammon saw that they had made themselves hated by David,
they sent to the Aramaeans of Beth-rehob and Zobah, and got for payment twenty thousand
footmen, and they got from the king of Maacah a thousand men, and from Tob twelve
thousand.
10:6 And when the children of Ammon saw that they stank before David, the children of Ammon sent and hired the Syrians of Bethrehob and the Syrians of Zoba, twenty thousand footmen, and of king Maacah a thousand men, and of Ishtob twelve thousand men.
10:7 다윗이 듣고 요압과 용사의 온 무리를 보내매
10:7 And hearing of this, David sent Joab and all the army and the best fighting-men.
10:7 And when David heard of it, he sent Joab, and all the host of the mighty men.
10:8 암몬 자손은 나와서 성문 어귀에 진을 쳤고 소바와 르홉 아람 사람과 돕과
마아가 사람들은 따로 들에 있더라
10:8 And the children of Ammon came out and put their forces in position at the way into
the town: and the Aramaeans of Zobah and of Rehob, with the men of Tob and Maacah,
were by themselves in the field.
10:8 And the children of Ammon came out, and put the battle in array at the entering in of the gate: and the Syrians of Zoba, and of Rehob, and Ishtob, and Maacah, were by themselves in the field.
10:9 ○ 요압이 앞 뒤에 친 적진을 보고 이스라엘의 뺀 자 중에서 또 빼서 아람
사람을 대하여 진 치고
10:9 Now when Joab saw that their forces were in position against him in front and at
his back, he took the best of the men of Israel and put them in line against the
Aramaeans;
10:9 When Joab saw that the front of the battle was against him before and behind, he chose of all the choice men of Israel, and put them in array against the Syrians:
10:10 그 남은 무리는 그 아우 아비새의 수하에 붙여 암몬 자손을 대하여 진 치게
하고
10:10 And the rest of the people he put in position against the children of Ammon, with
Abishai, his brother, at their head.
10:10 And the rest of the people he delivered into the hand of Abishai his brother, that he might put them in array against the children of Ammon.
10:11 가로되 만일 아람 사람이 나보다 강하면 네가 나를 돕고 만일 암몬 자손이
너보다 강하면 내가 가서 너를 도우리라
10:11 And he said, If the Aramaeans are stronger and get the better of me, then you are
to come to my help; but if the children of Ammon get the better of you, I will come
to your help.
10:11 And he said, If the Syrians be too strong for me, then you shall help me: but if the children of Ammon be too strong for you, then I will come and help you.
10:12 너는 담대하라 우리가 우리 백성과 우리 하나님의 성읍들을 위하여 담대히
하자 여호와께서 선히 여기시는 대로 행하시기를 원하노라 하고
10:12 Take heart, and let us be strong for our people and for the towns of our God, and
may the Lord do what seems good to him.
10:12 Be of good courage, and let us play the men for our people, and for the cities of our God: and the LORD do that which seems him good.
10:13 요압과 그 종자가 아람 사람을 향하여 싸우려고 나아가니 저희가 그 앞에서
도망하고
10:13 Then Joab and the people with him went forward to the fight against the Aramaeans,
and they went in flight before him.
10:13 And Joab drew nigh, and the people that were with him, unto the battle against the Syrians: and they fled before him.
10:14 암몬 자손은 아람 사람의 도망함을 보고 저희도 아비새 앞에서 도망하여
성으로 들어간지라 요압이 암몬 자손을 떠나 예루살렘으로 돌아오니라
10:14 And when the children of Ammon saw the flight of the Aramaeans, they themselves
went in flight from Abishai, and came into the town. So Joab went back from fighting
the children of Ammon and came to Jerusalem.
10:14 And when the children of Ammon saw that the Syrians were fled, then fled they also before Abishai, and entered into the city. So Joab returned from the children of Ammon, and came to Jerusalem.
10:15 ○ 아람 사람이 자기가 이스라엘 앞에서 패하였음을 보고 다 모이매
10:15 And when the Aramaeans saw that Israel had overcome them, they got themselves together.
10:15 And when the Syrians saw that they were smitten before Israel, they gathered themselves together.
10:16 하닷에셀이 사람을 보내어 강 건너편에 있는 아람 사람을 불러 내매 저희가
헬람에 이르니 하닷에셀의 군대 장관 소박이 저희를 거느린지라
10:16 And Hadadezer sent for the Aramaeans who were on the other side of the River: and
they came to Helam, with Shobach, the captain of Hadadezer's army, at their head.
10:16 And Hadarezer sent, and brought out the Syrians that were beyond the river: and they came to Helam; and Shobach the captain of the host of Hadarezer went before them.
10:17 혹이 다윗에게 고하매 저가 온 이스라엘을 모으고 요단을 건너 헬람에 이르매
아람 사람들이 다윗을 향하여 진을 치고 더불어 싸우더니
10:17 And word of this was given to David: and he got all Israel together and went over
Jordan and came to Helam. And the Aramaeans put their forces in position against
David, and made an attack on him.
10:17 And when it was told David, he gathered all Israel together, and passed over Jordan, and came to Helam. And the Syrians set themselves in array against David, and fought with him.
10:18 아람 사람이 이스라엘 앞에서 도망한지라 다윗이 아람 병거 칠백 승의 사람과
마병 사만을 죽이고 또 그 군대 장관 소박을 치매 거기서 죽으니라
10:18 And the Aramaeans went in flight before Israel; and David put to the sword the men
of seven hundred Aramaean war-carriages and forty thousand footmen, and Shobach,
the captain of the army, was wounded, and came to his death there.
10:18 And the Syrians fled before Israel; and David slew the men of seven hundred chariots of the Syrians, and forty thousand horsemen, and stroke Shobach the captain of their host, who died there.
10:19 하닷에셀에게 속한 왕들이 자기가 이스라엘 앞에서 패함을 보고 이스라엘과
화친하고 섬기니 이러므로 아람 사람들이 두려워하여 다시는 암몬 자손을 돕지 아니하니라
10:19 And when all the kings who were servants of Hadadezer saw that they were overcome
by Israel, they made peace with Israel and became their servants. So the Aramaeans,
in fear, gave no more help to the children of Ammon.
10:19 And when all the kings that were servants to Hadarezer saw that they were smitten before Israel, they made peace with Israel, and served them. So the Syrians feared to help the children of Ammon any more.
11:1 해가 돌아와서 왕들의 출전할 때가 되매 다윗이 요압과 그 신복과 온 이스라엘
군대를 보내니 저희가 암몬 자손을 멸하고 랍바를 에워쌌고 다윗은 예루살렘에 그대로
있으니라
11:1 Now in the spring, at the time when kings go out to war, David sent Joab and his
servants and all Israel with him; and they made waste the land of the children of
Ammon, and took up their position before Rabbah, shutting it in. But David was still
at Jerusalem.
11:1 And it came to pass, after the year was expired, at the time when kings go forth to battle, that David sent Joab, and his servants with him, and all Israel; and they destroyed the children of Ammon, and besieged Rabbah. But David tarried still at Jerusalem.
11:2 ○ 저녁 때에 다윗이 그 침상에서 일어나 왕궁 지붕 위에서 거닐다가 그 곳에서
보니 한 여인이 목욕을 하는데 심히 아름다와 보이는지라
11:2 Now one evening, David got up from his bed, and while he was walking on the roof
of the king's house, he saw from there a woman bathing; and the woman was very beautiful.
11:2 And it came to pass in an evening-time, that David arose from off his bed, and walked upon the roof of the king's house: and from the roof he saw a woman washing herself; and the woman was very beautiful to look upon.
11:3 다윗이 보내어 그 여인을 알아보게 하였더니 고하되 그는 엘리암의 딸이요
헷 사람 우리아의 아내 밧세바가 아니니이까
11:3 And David sent to get knowledge who the woman was. And one said, Is this not Bath-sheba,
the daughter of Eliam and wife of Uriah the Hittite?
11:3 And David sent and enquired after the woman. And one said, Is not this Bathsheba, the daughter of Eliam, the wife of Uriah the Hittite?
11:4 다윗이 사자를 보내어 저를 자기에게로 데려오게 하고 저가 그 부정함을
깨끗케 하였으므로 더불어 동침하매 저가 자기 집으로 돌아가니라
11:4 And David sent and took her; and she came to him, and he took her to his bed: (for
she had been made clean;) then she went back to her house.
11:4 And David sent messengers, and took her; and she came in unto him, and he lay with her; for she was purified from her uncleanness: and she returned unto her house.
11:5 여인이 잉태하매 보내어 다윗에게 고하여 가로되 내가 잉태하였나이다 하니라
11:5 And the woman became with child; and she sent word to David that she was with child.
11:5 And the woman conceived, and sent and told David, and said, I am with child.
11:6 ○ 다윗이 요압에게 기별하여 헷 사람 우리아를 내게 보내라 하매 요압이
우리아를 다윗에게로 보내니
11:6 And David sent to Joab saying, Send Uriah the Hittite to me. And Joab sent Uriah
to David.
11:6 And David sent to Joab, saying, Send me Uriah the Hittite. And Joab sent Uriah to David.
11:7 우리아가 다윗에게 이르매 다윗이 요압의 안부와 군사의 안부와 싸움의 어떠한
것을 묻고
11:7 And when Uriah came to him, David put questions to him about how Joab and the people
were, and how the war was going.
11:7 And when Uriah was come unto him, David demanded of him how Joab did, and how the people did, and how the war prospered.
11:8 저가 또 우리아에게 이르되 네 집으로 내려가서 발을 씻으라 하니 우리아가
왕궁에서 나가매 왕의 식물이 뒤따라 가니라
11:8 And David said to Uriah, Go down to your house and let your feet be washed. And
Uriah went away from the king's house, and an offering from the king was sent after
him.
11:8 And David said to Uriah, Go down to your house, and wash your feet. And Uriah departed out of the king's house, and there followed him a portion of food from the king.
11:9 그러나 우리아는 집으로 내려가지 아니하고 왕궁 문에서 그 주의 신복들로
더불어 잔지라
11:9 But Uriah took his rest at the door of the king's house, with all the servants of
his lord, and did not go down to his house.
11:9 But Uriah slept at the door of the king's house with all the servants of his lord, and went not down to his house.
11:10 혹이 다윗에게 고하여 가로되 우리아가 그 집으로 내려가지 아니하였나이다
다윗이 우리아에게 이르되 네가 길 갔다가 돌아온 것이 아니냐 어찌하여 네 집으로
내려가지 아니하였느냐
11:10 And when word was given to David that Uriah had not gone down to his house, David
said to Uriah, Have you not come from a journey? why did you not go down to your
house?
11:10 And when they had told David, saying, Uriah went not down unto his house, David said unto Uriah, Came you not from your journey? why then did you not go down unto yours house?
11:11 우리아가 다윗에게 고하되 언약궤와 이스라엘과 유다가 영채 가운데 유하고
내 주 요압과 내 왕의 신복들이 바깥 들에 유진하였거늘 내가 어찌 내 집으로 가서
먹고 마시고 내 처와 같이 자리이까 내가 이 일을 행치 아니하기로 왕의 사심과 왕의
혼의 사심을 가리켜 맹세하나이다
11:11 And Uriah said to David, Israel and Judah with the ark are living in tents, and
my lord Joab and the other servants of my lord are sleeping in the open field; and
am I to go to my house and take food and drink, and go to bed with my wife? By the
living Lord, and by the life of your soul, I will not do such a thing.
11:11 And Uriah said unto David, The ark, and Israel, and Judah, abide in tents; and my lord Joab, and the servants of my lord, are encamped in the open fields; shall I then go into mine house, to eat and to drink, and to lie with my wife? as you live, and as your soul lives, I will not do this thing.
11:12 다윗이 우리아에게 이르되 오늘도 여기 있으라 내일은 내가 너를 보내리라
우리아가 그 날에 예루살렘에 유하니라 이튿날
11:12 And David said to Uriah, Be here today, and after that I will let you go. So Uriah
was in Jerusalem that day and the day after.
11:12 And David said to Uriah, Tarry here to day also, and tomorrow I will let you depart. So Uriah abode in Jerusalem that day, and the next day.
11:13 다윗이 저를 불러서 저로 그 앞에서 먹고 마시고 취하게 하니 저녁 때에
저가 나가서 그 주의 신복으로 더불어 침상에 눕고 그 집으로 내려가지 아니하니라
11:13 And when David sent for him, he took meat and drink with him, and David made him
the worse for drink: and when evening came, he went to rest on his bed with the
servants of his lord, but he did not go down to his house.
11:13 And when David had called him, he did eat and drink before him; and he made him drunk: and at even he went out to lie on his bed with the servants of his lord, but went not down to his house.
11:14 ○ 아침이 되매 다윗이 편지를 써서 우리아의 손에 부쳐 요압에게 보내니
11:14 Now in the morning, David gave Uriah a letter to take to Joab.
11:14 And it came to pass in the morning, that David wrote a letter to Joab, and sent it by the hand of Uriah.
11:15 그 편지에 써서 이르기를 너희가 우리아를 맹렬한 싸움에 앞세워 두고 너희는
뒤로 물러가서 저로 맞아 죽게 하라 하였더라
11:15 And in the letter he said, Take care to put Uriah in the very front of the line,
where the fighting is most violent, and go back from him, so that he may be overcome
and put to death.
11:15 And he wrote in the letter, saying, Set all of you Uriah in the forefront of the hottest battle, and retire all of you from him, that he may be smitten, and die.
11:16 요압이 그 성을 살펴 용사들의 있는 줄을 아는 그 곳에 우리아를 두니
11:16 So while Joab was watching the town, he put Uriah in the place where it was clear
to him the best fighters were.
11:16 And it came to pass, when Joab observed the city, that he assigned Uriah unto a place where he knew that valiant men were.
11:17 성 사람들이 나와서 요압으로 더불어 싸울 때에 다윗의 신복 중 몇 사람이
엎드러지고 헷 사람 우리아도 죽으니라
11:17 And the men of the town went out and had a fight with Joab: and a number of David's
men came to their death in the fight, and with them Uriah the Hittite.
11:17 And the men of the city went out, and fought with Joab: and there fell some of the people of the servants of David; and Uriah the Hittite died also.
11:18 요압이 보내어 전쟁의 모든 일을 다윗에게 고할새
11:18 Then Joab sent David news of everything which had taken place in the war:
11:18 Then Joab sent and told David all the things concerning the war;
11:19 그 사자에게 명하여 가로되 전쟁의 모든 일을 네가 왕께 고하기를 마친
후에
11:19 And he gave orders to the man who took the news, saying, After you have given the
king all the news about the war,
11:19 And charged the messenger, saying, When you have made an end of telling the matters of the war unto the king,
11:20 혹시 왕이 노하여 네게 말씀하기를 너희가 어찌하여 성에 그처럼 가까이
가서 싸웠느냐 저희가 성 위에서 쏠 줄을 알지 못하였느냐
11:20 If the king is angry and says, Why did you go so near the town for the fight? was
it not certain that their archers would be on the wall?
11:20 And if so be that the king's wrath arise, and he say unto you, Wherefore approached all of you so nigh unto the city when all of you did fight? knew all of you not that they would shoot from the wall?
11:21 여룹베셋의 아들 아비멜렉을 쳐죽인 자가 누구냐 여인 하나가 성에서 맷돌
윗짝을 그 위에 던지매 저가 데벳스에서 죽지 아니하였느냐 어찌하여 성에 가까이
갔더냐 하시거든 네가 말하기를 왕의 종 헷 사람 우리아도 죽었나이다 하라
11:21 Who put Abimelech, the son of Jerubbaal, to death? did not a woman send a great
stone down on him from the wall, putting him to death at Thebez? why did you go
so near the wall? Then say to him, Your servant Uriah the Hittite is among the dead.
11:21 Who stroke Abimelech the son of Jerubbesheth? did not a woman cast a piece of a millstone upon him from the wall, that he died in Thebez? why went all of you nigh the wall? then say you, Your servant Uriah the Hittite is dead also.
11:22 ○ 사자가 가서 다윗에게 이르러 요압의 모든 보낸 일을 고하여
11:22 So the man went, and came to David, and gave him all the news which Joab had sent
him to give;
11:22 So the messenger went, and came and showed David all that Joab had sent him for.
11:23 가로되 그 사람들이 우리보다 승하여 우리를 향하여 들로 나온 고로 우리가
저희를 쳐서 성문 어귀까지 미쳤더니
11:23 And the man said to David, Truly the men got the better of us, and came out against
us into the open country, but we sent them back to the very doors of the town.
11:23 And the messenger said unto David, Surely the men prevailed against us, and came out unto us into the field, and we were upon them even unto the entering of the gate.
11:24 활 쏘는 자들이 성 위에서 왕의 신복들을 향하여 쏘매 왕의 신복 중 몇
사람이 죽고 왕의 종 헷 사람 우리아도 죽었나이다
11:24 And the archers sent their arrows at your servants from the wall, and some of the
king's servants are dead, and among them is your servant Uriah the Hittite.
11:24 And the shooters shot from off the wall upon your servants; and some of the king's servants be dead, and your servant Uriah the Hittite is dead also.
11:25 다윗이 사자에게 이르되 너는 요압에게 이같이 말하기를 이 일로 걱정하지
말라 칼은 이 사람이나 저 사람이나 죽이느니라 그 성을 향하여 더욱 힘써 싸워 함락시키라
하여 너는 저를 담대케 하라 하니라
11:25 Then David said to the man, Go and say to Joab, Do not let this be a grief to you;
for one man may come to his death by the sword like another: put up an even stronger
fight against the town, and take it: and do you put heart into him.
11:25 Then David said unto the messenger, Thus shall you say unto Joab, Let not this thing displease you, for the sword devours one as well as another: make your battle more strong against the city, and overthrow it: and encourage you him.
11:26 ○ 우리아의 처가 그 남편 우리아의 죽었음을 듣고 호곡하니라
11:26 And when the wife of Uriah had news that her husband was dead, she gave herself
up to weeping for him.
11:26 And when the wife of Uriah heard that Uriah her husband was dead, she mourned for her husband.
11:27 그 장사를 마치매 다윗이 보내어 저를 궁으로 데려오니 저가 그 처가 되어
아들을 낳으니라 다윗의 소위가 여호와 보시기에 악하였더라
11:27 And when the days of weeping were past, David sent for her, and took her into his
house, and she became his wife and gave him a son. But the Lord was not pleased
with the thing David had done.
11:27 And when the mourning was past, David sent and fetched her to his house, and she became his wife, and bare him a son. But the thing that David had done displeased the LORD.
12:1 여호와께서 나단을 다윗에게 보내시니 와서 저에게 이르되 한 성에 두 사람이
있는데 하나는 부하고 하나는 가난하니
12:1 And the Lord sent Nathan to David. And Nathan came to him and said, There were two
men in the same town: one a man of great wealth, and the other a poor man.
12:1 And the LORD sent Nathan unto David. And he came unto him, and said unto him, There were two men in one city; the one rich, and the other poor.
12:2 그 부한 자는 양과 소가 심히 많으나
12:2 The man of wealth had great numbers of flocks and herds;
12:2 The rich man had exceeding many flocks and herds:
12:3 가난한 자는 아무 것도 없고 자기가 사서 기르는 작은 암양 새끼 하나 뿐이라
그 암양 새끼는 저와 저의 자식과 함께 있어 자라며 저의 먹는 것을 먹으며 저의
잔에서 마시며 저의 품에 누우므로 저에게는 딸처럼 되었거늘
12:3 But the poor man had only one little she-lamb, which he had got and taken care of:
from its birth it had been with him like one of his children; his meat was its food,
and from his cup it took its drink, resting in his arms, and it was like a daughter
to him.
12:3 But the poor man had nothing, save one little ewe lamb, which he had bought and nourished up: and it grew up together with him, and with his children; it did eat of his own food, and drank of his own cup, and lay in his bosom, and was unto him as a daughter.
12:4 어떤 행인이 그 부자에게 오매 부자가 자기의 양과 소를 아껴 자기에게 온
행인을 위하여 잡지 아니하고 가난한 사람의 양 새끼를 빼앗아다가 자기에게 온 사람을
위하여 잡았나이다
12:4 Now a traveller came to the house of the man of wealth, but he would not take anything
from his flock or his herd to make a meal for the traveller who had come to him,
but he took the poor man's lamb and made it ready for the man who had come.
12:4 And there came a traveller unto the rich man, and he spared to take of his own flock and of his own herd, to dress for the travelling man that was come unto him; but took the poor man's lamb, and dressed it for the man that was come to him.
12:5 다윗이 그 사람을 크게 노하여 나단에게 이르되 여호와의 사심을 가리켜
맹세하노니 이 일을 행한 사람은 마땅히 죽을 자라
12:5 And David was full of wrath against that man; and he said to Nathan, By the living
Lord, death is the right punishment for the man who has done this:
12:5 And David's anger was greatly kindled against the man; and he said to Nathan, As the LORD lives, the man that has done this thing shall surely die:
12:6 저가 불쌍히 여기지 않고 이 일을 행하였으니 그 양 새끼를 사배나 갚아
주어야 하리라
12:6 And he will have to give back four times the value of the lamb, because he has done
this and because he had no pity.
12:6 And he shall restore the lamb fourfold, because he did this thing, and because he had no pity.
12:7 ○ 나단이 다윗에게 이르되 당신이 그 사람이라 이스라엘의 하나님 여호와께서
이처럼 이르시기를 내가 너로 이스라엘 왕을 삼기 위하여 네게 기름을 붓고 너를
사울의 손에서 구원하고
12:7 And Nathan said to David, You are that man. The Lord God of Israel says, I made
you king over Israel, putting holy oil on you, and I kept you safe from the hands
of Saul;
12:7 And Nathan said to David, You are the man. Thus says the LORD God of Israel, I anointed you king over Israel, and I delivered you out of the hand of Saul;
12:8 네 주인의 집을 네게 주고 네 주인의 처들을 네 품에 두고 이스라엘과 유다
족속을 네게 맡겼느니라 만일 그것이 부족하였을 것 같으면 내가 네게 이것 저것을
더 주었으리라
12:8 I gave you your master's daughter and your master's wives for yourself, and I gave
you the daughters of Israel and Judah; and if that had not been enough, I would
have given you such and such things.
12:8 And I gave you your master's house, and your master's wives into your bosom, and gave you the house of Israel and of Judah; and if that had been too little, I would moreover have given unto you such and such things.
12:9 그러한데 어찌하여 네가 여호와의 말씀을 업신여기고 나 보기에 악을 행하였느뇨
네가 칼로 헷 사람 우리아를 죽이되 암몬 자손의 칼로 죽이고 그 처를 빼앗아 네
처를 삼았도다
12:9 Why then have you had no respect for the word of the Lord, doing what is evil in
his eyes? You have put Uriah the Hittite to death with the sword, and have taken
his wife to be your wife; you have put him to death with the sword of the children
of Ammon.
12:9 Wherefore have you despised the commandment of the LORD, to do evil in his sight? you have killed Uriah the Hittite with the sword, and have taken his wife to be your wife, and have slain him with the sword of the children of Ammon.
12:10 이제 네가 나를 업신여기고 헷 사람 우리아의 처를 빼앗아 네 처를 삼았은즉
칼이 네 집에 영영히 떠나지 아니하리라 하셨고
12:10 So now the sword will never be turned away from your family; because you have had
no respect for me, and have taken the wife of Uriah the Hittite to be your wife.
12:10 Now therefore the sword shall never depart from yours house; because you have despised me, and have taken the wife of Uriah the Hittite to be your wife.
12:11 여호와께서 또 이처럼 이르시기를 내가 네 집에 재화를 일으키고 내가 네
처들을 가져 네 눈 앞에서 다른 사람에게 주리니 그 사람이 네 처들로 더불어 백주에
동침하리라
12:11 The Lord says, From those of your family I will send evil against you, and before
your very eyes I will take your wives and give them to your neighbour, and he will
take your wives to his bed by the light of this sun.
12:11 Thus says the LORD, Behold, I will raise up evil against you out of yours own house, and I will take your wives before yours eyes, and give them unto your neighbour, and he shall lie with your wives in the sight of this sun.
12:12 너는 은밀히 행하였으나 나는 이스라엘 무리 앞 백주에 이 일을 행하리라
하셨나이다
12:12 You did it secretly; but I will do this thing before all Israel and in the light
of the sun.
12:12 For you did it secretly: but I will do this thing before all Israel, and before the sun.
12:13 다윗이 나단에게 이르되 내가 여호와께 죄를 범하였노라 하매 나단이 다윗에게
대답하되 여호와께서도 당신의 죄를 사하셨나니 당신이 죽지 아니하려니와
12:13 And David said to Nathan, Great is my sin against the Lord. And Nathan said to David,
The Lord has put away your sin; death will not come on you.
12:13 And David said unto Nathan, I have sinned against the LORD. And Nathan said unto David, The LORD also has put away your sin; you shall not die.
12:14 이 일로 인하여 여호와의 원수로 크게 훼방할 거리를 얻게 하였으니 당신의
낳은 아이가 정녕 죽으리이다 하고
12:14 But still, because you have had no respect for the Lord, death will certainly overtake
the child who has newly come to birth.
12:14 Nevertheless, because by this deed you have given great occasion to the enemies of the LORD to blaspheme, the child also that is born unto you shall surely die.
12:15 나단이 자기 집으로 돌아가니라 ○ 우리아의 처가 다윗에게 낳은 아이를
여호와께서 치시매 심히 앓는지라
12:15 Then Nathan went back to his house. And the hand of the Lord was on David's son,
the child of Uriah's wife, and it became very ill.
12:15 And Nathan departed unto his house. And the LORD struck the child that Uriah's wife bare unto David, and it was very sick.
12:16 다윗이 그 아이를 위하여 하나님께 간구하되 금식하고 안에 들어가서 밤새도록
땅에 엎드렸으니
12:16 So David made prayer to God for the child; and he took no food day after day, and
went in and, stretching himself out on the earth, was there all night.
12:16 David therefore besought God for the child; and David fasted, and went in, and lay all night upon the earth.
12:17 그 집의 늙은 자들이 곁에 이르러 다윗을 일으키려 하되 왕이 듣지 아니하고
저희로 더불어 먹지도 아니하더라
12:17 And the chief men of his house got up and went to his side to make him get up from
the earth, but he would not; and he would not take food with them.
12:17 And the elders of his house arose, and went to him, to raise him up from the earth: but he would not, neither did he eat bread with them.
12:18 이레 만에 그 아이가 죽으니라 그러나 다윗의 신복들이 아이의 죽은 것을
왕에게 고하기를 두려워하니 이는 저희가 말하기를 아이가 살았을 때에 우리가 말하여도
왕이 그 말을 듣지 아니하셨나니 어떻게 그 아이의 죽은 것을 고할 수 있으랴 왕이
훼상하시리로다 함이라
12:18 And then on the seventh day the child's death took place. And David's servants were
in fear of giving him the news of the child's death: for they said, Truly, while
the child was still living he gave no attention when we said anything to him: what
will he do to himself if we give him word that the child is dead?
12:18 And it came to pass on the seventh day, that the child died. And the servants of David feared to tell him that the child was dead: for they said, Behold, while the child was yet alive, we spoke unto him, and he would not hearken unto our voice: how will he then vex himself, if we tell him that the child is dead?
12:19 다윗이 그 신복들의 서로 수군거리는 것을 보고 그 아이가 죽은 줄을 깨닫고
그 신복들에게 묻되 아이가 죽었느냐 대답하되 죽었나이다
12:19 But when David saw that his servants were talking together quietly, he was certain
that the child was dead: and he said to his servants, Is the child dead? and they
said, He is.
12:19 But when David saw that his servants whispered, David perceived that the child was dead: therefore David said unto his servants, Is the child dead? And they said, He is dead.
12:20 다윗이 땅에서 일어나 몸을 씻고 기름을 바르고 의복을 갈아 입고 여호와의
전에 들어가서 경배하고 궁으로 돌아와서 명하여 음식을 그 앞에 베풀게 하고 먹은
지라
12:20 Then David got up from the earth, and after washing and rubbing himself with oil
and changing his clothing, he went into the house of the Lord and gave worship:
then he went back to his house, and at his order they put food before him and he
had a meal.
12:20 Then David arose from the earth, and washed, and anointed himself, and changed his apparel, and came into the house of the LORD, and worshipped: then he came to his own house; and when he required, they set bread before him, and he did eat.
12:21 신복들이 왕께 묻되 아이가 살았을 때에는 위하여 금식하고 우시더니 죽은
후에는 일어나서 잡수시니 어찜이니이까
12:21 Then his servants said to him, Why have you been acting in this way? you were weeping
and going without food while the child was still living; but when the child was
dead, you got up and had a meal.
12:21 Then said his servants unto him, What thing is this that you have done? you did fast and weep for the child, while it was alive; but when the child was dead, you did rise and eat bread.
12:22 가로되 아이가 살았을 때에 내가 금식하고 운 것은 혹시 여호와께서 나를
불쌍히 여기사 아이를 살려 주실는지 누가 알까 생각함이어니와
12:22 And he said, While the child was still living I went without food and gave myself
up to weeping: for I said, Who is able to say that the Lord will not have mercy
on me and give the child life?
12:22 And he said, While the child was yet alive, I fasted and wept: for I said, Who can tell whether GOD will be gracious to me, that the child may live?
12:23 시방은 죽었으니 어찌 금식하랴 내가 다시 돌아오게 할 수 있느냐 나는
저에게로 가려니와 저는 내게로 돌아오지 아니하리라
12:23 But now that the child is dead there is no reason for me to go without food; am
I able to make him come back to life? I will go to him, but he will never come back
to me.
12:23 But now he is dead, wherefore should I fast? can I bring him back again? I shall go to him, but he shall not return to me.
12:24 ○ 다윗이 그 처 밧세바를 위로하고 저에게 들어가 동침하였더니 저가 아들을
낳으매 그 이름을 솔로몬이라 하니라 여호와께서 그를 사랑하사
12:24 And David gave comfort to his wife Bath-sheba, and he went in to her and had connection
with her: and she had a son to whom she gave the name Solomon. And he was dear to
the Lord.
12:24 And David comforted Bathsheba his wife, and went in unto her, and lay with her: and she bare a son, and he called his name Solomon: and the LORD loved him.
12:25 선지자 나단을 보내사 그 이름을 여디디야라 하시니 이는 여호와께서 사랑하심을
인함이더라
12:25 And he sent word by Nathan the prophet, who gave him the name Jedidiah, by the word
of the Lord.
12:25 And he sent by the hand of Nathan the prophet; and he called his name Jedidiah, because of the LORD.
12:26 ○ 요압이 암몬 자손의 왕성 랍바를 쳐서 취하게 되매
12:26 Now Joab was fighting against Rabbah, in the land of the children of Ammon, and
he took the water-town.
12:26 And Joab fought against Rabbah of the children of Ammon, and took the royal city.
12:27 사자를 다윗에게 보내어 가로되 내가 랍바 곧 물들의 성을 쳐서 취하게
되었으니
12:27 And Joab sent men to David, saying, I have made war against Rabbah and have taken
the water-town.
12:27 And Joab sent messengers to David, and said, I have fought against Rabbah, and have taken the city of waters.
12:28 이제 왕은 남은 군사를 모아 진 치고 이 성을 쳐서 취하소서 내가 이 성을
취하면 이 성이 내 이름으로 일컬음을 받을까 두려워하나이다
12:28 So now, get the rest of the people together, and put them in position against the
town and take it, for if I take it, it will be named after my name.
12:28 Now therefore gather the rest of the people together, and camp against the city, and take it: lest I take the city, and it be called after my name.
12:29 다윗이 모든 군사를 모아 랍바로 가서 쳐서 취하고
12:29 Then David got all the people together and went to Rabbah and made war on it and
took it.
12:29 And David gathered all the people together, and went to Rabbah, and fought against it, and took it.
12:30 그 왕의 머리에서 보석 있는 면류관을 취하니 그 중량이 금 한 달란트라
다윗이 머리에 쓰니라 다윗이 또 그 성에서 노략한 물건을 무수히 내어오고
12:30 And he took the crown of Milcom from his head; the weight of it was a talent of
gold, and in it were stones of great price; and it was put on David's head. And
he took a great store of goods from the town.
12:30 And he took their king's crown from off his head, the weight whereof was a talent of gold with the precious stones: and it was set on David's head. And he brought forth the spoil of the city in great abundance.
12:31 그 가운데 백성들을 끌어내어 톱질과 써레질과 도끼질과 벽돌구이를 하게
하니라 암몬 자손의 모든 성을 이같이 하고 다윗과 모든 백성이 예루살렘으로 돌아오니라
12:31 And he took the people out of the town and put them to work with wood-cutting instruments,
and iron grain-crushers, and iron axes, and at brick-making: this he did to all
the towns of the children of Ammon. Then David and all the people went back to Jerusalem.
12:31 And he brought forth the people that were therein, and put them under saws, and under harrows of iron, and under axes of iron, and made them pass through the brick-kiln: and thus did he unto all the cities of the children of Ammon. So David and all the people returned unto Jerusalem.
13:1 그 후에 이 일이 있으니라 다윗의 아들 압살롬에게 아름다운 누이가 있으니
이름은 다말이라 다윗의 아들 암논이 저를 연애하나
13:1 Now after this, it came about that Absalom, David's son, had a beautiful sister,
whose name was Tamar; and David's son Amnon was in love with her.
13:1 And it came to pass after this, that Absalom the son of David had a fair sister, whose name was Tamar; and Amnon the son of David loved her.
13:2 저는 처녀이므로 어찌할 수 없는 줄을 알고 암논이 그 누이 다말을 인하여
심화로 병이 되니라
13:2 And he was so deeply in love that he became ill because of his sister Tamar; for
she was a virgin, and so it seemed hard to Amnon to do anything to her.
13:2 And Amnon was so vexed, that he fell sick for his sister Tamar; for she was a virgin; and Amnon thought it hard for him to do anything to her.
13:3 암논에게 요나답이라 하는 친구가 있으니 저는 다윗의 형 시므아의 아들이요
심히 간교한 자라
13:3 But Amnon had a friend whose name was Jonadab, the son of Shimeah, David's brother:
and Jonadab was a very wise man.
13:3 But Amnon had a friend, whose name was Jonadab, the son of Shimeah David's brother: and Jonadab was a very subtle man.
13:4 저가 암논에게 이르되 왕자여 어찌하여 나날이 이렇게 파리하여 가느뇨 내게
고하지 아니하겠느뇨 암논이 말하되 내가 아우 압살롬의 누이 다말을 연애함이니라
13:4 And he said to him, O son of the king, why are you getting thinner day by day? will
you not say what your trouble is? And Amnon said to him, I am in love with Tamar,
my brother Absalom's sister.
13:4 And he said unto him, Why are you, being the king's son, lean from day to day? will you not tell me? And Amnon said unto him, I love Tamar, my brother Absalom's sister.
13:5 요나답이 저에게 이르되 침상에 누워 병든 체 하다가 네 부친이 너를 보러
오거든 너는 말하기를 청컨대 내 누이 다말로 와서 내게 식물을 먹이되 나 보는 데서
식물을 차려 그 손으로 먹여 주게 하옵소서 하라
13:5 Then Jonadab said to him, Go to your bed, and let it seem that you are ill: and
when your father comes to see you, say to him, Let my sister Tamar come and give
me bread, and get the food ready before my eyes, so that I may see it and take it
from her hand.
13:5 And Jonadab said unto him, Lay you down on your bed, and make yourself sick: and when your father comes to see you, say unto him, I pray you, let my sister Tamar come, and give me food, and dress the food in my sight, that I may see it, and eat it at her hand.
13:6 암논이 곧 누워 병든 체하다가 왕이 와서 저를 볼 때에 왕께 고하되 청컨대
내 누이 다말로 와서 내가 보는 데서 과자 두어 개를 만들어 그 손으로 내게 먹여
주게 하옵소서
13:6 So Amnon went to bed and made himself seem ill: and when the king came to see him,
Amnon said to the king, Please let my sister Tamar come and make me one or two cakes
before my eyes, so that I may take food from her hand.
13:6 So Amnon lay down, and made himself sick: and when the king was come to see him, Amnon said unto the king, I pray you, let Tamar my sister come, and make me a couple of cakes in my sight, that I may eat at her hand.
13:7 ○ 다윗이 사람을 그 집으로 보내어 다말에게 이르되 네 오라비 암논의 집으로
가서 저를 위하여 음식을 차리라 한지라
13:7 Then David sent to the house for Tamar and said, Go now to your brother Amnon's
house and get a meal for him.
13:7 Then David sent home to Tamar, saying, Go now to your brother Amnon's house, and dress him food.
13:8 다말이 그 오라비 암논의 집에 이르매 암논이 누었더라 다말이 밀가루를
가지고 반죽하여 그 보는 데서 과자를 만들고 그 과자를 굽고
13:8 So Tamar went to her brother Amnon's house; and he was in bed. And she took paste
and made cakes before his eyes, cooking them over the fire.
13:8 So Tamar went to her brother Amnon's house; and he was laid down. And she took flour, and kneaded it, and made cakes in his sight, and did bake the cakes.
13:9 그 남비를 가져다가 그 앞에 쏟아 놓아도 암논이 먹기를 싫어하고 가로되
모든 사람을 나가게 하라 하니 다 저를 떠나 나가니라
13:9 And she took the cooking-pot, and put the cakes before him, but he would not take
them. And Amnon said, Let everyone go away from me. So they all went out.
13:9 And she took a pan, and poured them out before him; but he refused to eat. And Amnon said, Have out all men from me. And they went out every man from him.
13:10 암논이 다말에게 이르되 식물을 가지고 침실로 들어오라 내가 네 손에서
먹으리라 다말이 자기의 만든 과자를 가지고 침실에 들어가 그 오라비 암논에게 이르러
13:10 Then Amnon said to Tamar, Take the food and come into my bedroom, so that I may
take it from your hand. So Tamar took the cakes she had made and went with them
into her brother Amnon's bedroom.
13:10 And Amnon said unto Tamar, Bring the food into the chamber, that I may eat of yours hand. And Tamar took the cakes which she had made, and brought them into the chamber to Amnon her brother.
13:11 저에게 먹이려고 가까이 가지고 갈 때에 암논이 그를 붙잡고 이르되 누이야
와서 나와 동침하자
13:11 And when she took them to give them to him, he put his arms round her and said,
Come to bed, my sister.
13:11 And when she had brought them unto him to eat, he took hold of her, and said unto her, Come lie with me, my sister.
13:12 저가 대답하되 아니라 내 오라비여 나를 욕되게 말라 이런 일은 이스라엘에서
마땅히 행치 못할 것이니 이 괴악한 일을 행치 말라
13:12 And answering him, she said, O my brother, do not put shame on me; it is not right
for such a thing to be done in Israel: do not this evil thing.
13:12 And she answered him, Nay, my brother, do not force me; for no such thing ought to be done in Israel: do not you this folly.
13:13 내가 이 수치를 무릅쓰고 어디로 가겠느냐 너도 이스라엘에서 괴악한 자
중 하나가 되리라 청컨대 왕께 말하라 저가 나를 네게 주기를 거절치 아니하시리라
하되
13:13 What will become of me in my shame? and as for you, you will be looked down on with
disgust by all Israel. Now then, go and make your request to the king, for he will
not keep me from you.
13:13 And I, where shall I cause my shame to go? and as for you, you shall be as one of the fools in Israel. Now therefore, I pray you, speak unto the king; for he will not withhold me from you.
13:14 암논이 그 말을 듣지 아니하고 다말보다 힘이 세므로 억지로 동침하니라
13:14 But he would not give attention to what she said: but being stronger than she, he
took her by force, and had connection with her.
13:14 Nevertheless he would not hearken unto her voice: but, being stronger than she, forced her, and lay with her.
13:15 ○ 그리하고 암논이 저를 심히 미워하니 이제 미워하는 미움이 이왕 연애하던
연애보다 더한지라 곧 저에게 이르되 일어나 가라
13:15 Then Amnon was full of hate for her, hating her with a hate greater than his earlier
love for her. And he said to her, Get up and be gone.
13:15 Then Amnon hated her exceedingly; so that the hatred wherewith he hated her was greater than the love wherewith he had loved her. And Amnon said unto her, Arise, be gone.
13:16 다말이 가로되 가치 아니하다 나를 쫓아 보내는 이 큰 악은 아까 내게 행한
그 악보다 더하다 하되 암논이 듣지 아니하고
13:16 And she said to him, Not so, my brother, for this great wrong in sending me away
is worse than what you did to me before. But he gave no attention to her.
13:16 And she said unto him, There is no cause: this evil in sending me away is greater than the other that you did unto me. But he would not hearken unto her.
13:17 그 부리는 종을 불러 이르되 이 계집을 내어보내고 곧 문빗장을 지르라
하니
13:17 Then he gave a cry to the servant who was waiting on him and said, Put this woman
out, and let the door be locked after her.
13:17 Then he called his servant that ministered unto him, and said, Put now this woman out from me, and bolt the door after her.
13:18 암논의 하인이 저를 끌어내고 곧 문빗장을 지르니라 다말이 채색옷을 입었으니
출가하지 아니한 공주는 이런 옷으로 단장하는 법이라
13:18 Now she had on a long robe, such as in past times the king's virgin daughters were
dressed in. Then the servant put her out, locking the door after her.
13:18 And she had a garment of divers colours upon her: for with such robes were the king's daughters that were virgins apparelled. Then his servant brought her out, and bolted the door after her.
13:19 다말이 재를 그 머리에 무릅쓰고 그 채색옷을 찢고 손을 머리 위에 얹고
크게 울며 가니라
13:19 And Tamar, in her grief, put dust on her head; and she put her hand on her head
and went away crying loudly.
13:19 And Tamar put ashes on her head, and rent her garment of divers colours that was on her, and laid her hand on her head, and went on crying.
13:20 ○ 그 오라비 압살롬이 저에게 이르되 네 오라비 암논이 너와 함께 있었느냐
그러나 저는 네 오라비니 누이야 시방은 잠잠히 있고 이것으로 인하여 근심하지 말라
이에 다말이 그 오라비 압살롬의 집에 있어 처량하게 지내니라
13:20 And her brother Absalom said to her, Has your brother Amnon been with you? but now,
let there be an end to your crying, my sister: he is your brother, do not take this
thing to heart. So Tamar went on living uncomforted in her brother's house.
13:20 And Absalom her brother said unto her, Has Amnon your brother been with you? but hold now your peace, my sister: he is your brother; regard not this thing. So Tamar remained desolate in her brother Absalom's house.
13:21 다윗 왕이 이 모든 일을 듣고 심히 노하니라
13:21 But when King David had news of all these things he was very angry; but he did not
make trouble for Amnon his son, for he was dear to David, being his oldest son.
13:21 But when king David heard of all these things, he was very angry.
13:22 압살롬이 그 누이 다말을 암논이 욕되게 하였으므로 저를 미워하여 시비간에
말하지 아니하니라
13:22 But Absalom said nothing to his brother Amnon, good or bad: for he was full of hate
for him, because he had taken his sister Tamar by force.
13:22 And Absalom spoke unto his brother Amnon neither good nor bad: for Absalom hated Amnon, because he had forced his sister Tamar.
13:23 ○ 이 주년 후에 에브라임 곁 바알하솔에서 압살롬의 양 털을 깎는 일이
있으매 압살롬이 왕의 모든 아들을 청하고
13:23 Now after two full years, Absalom had men cutting the wool of his sheep in Baal-hazor,
which is near Ephraim: and he sent for all the king's sons to come to his feast.
13:23 And it came to pass after two full years, that Absalom had sheepshearers in Baalhazor, which is beside Ephraim: and Absalom invited all the king's sons.
13:24 왕께 나아와 말하되 이제 종에게 양 털 깎는 일이 있사오니 청컨대 왕은
신복들을 데리시고 이 종과 함께 가사이다
13:24 And Absalom came to the king and said, See now, your servant is cutting the wool
of his sheep; will the king and his servants be pleased to come?
13:24 And Absalom came to the king, and said, Behold now, your servant has sheepshearers; let the king, I plead to you, and his servants go with your servant.
13:25 왕이 압살롬에게 이르되 아니라 내 아들아 우리가 다 갈 것이 없다 네게
누를 끼칠까 하노라 압살롬이 간청하되 저가 가지 아니하고 위하여 복을 비는지라
13:25 And the king said to Absalom, No, my son, let us not all go, or the number will
be over-great for you. And he made his request again, but he would not go, but he
gave him his blessing.
13:25 And the king said to Absalom, Nay, my son, let us not all now go, lest we be chargeable unto you. And he pressed him: nevertheless he would not go, but blessed him.
13:26 압살롬이 가로되 그렇게 아니하시려거든 청컨대 내 형 암논으로 우리와
함께 가게 하옵소서 왕이 저에게 이르되 그가 너와 함께 갈 것이 무엇이냐 하되
13:26 Then Absalom said, If you will not go, then let my brother Amnon go with us. And
the king said to him, Is there any reason for him to go with you?
13:26 Then said Absalom, If not, I pray you, let my brother Amnon go with us. And the king said unto him, Why should he go with you?
13:27 압살롬이 간청하매 왕이 암논과 왕의 모든 아들을 저와 함께 보내니라
13:27 But Absalom went on requesting him till he let Amnon and all the king's sons go
with him. And Absalom made a great feast like a feast for a king.
13:27 But Absalom pressed him, that he let Amnon and all the king's sons go with him.
13:28 압살롬이 이미 그 사환들에게 분부하여 이르기를 너희는 암논의 마음이
술로 즐거워할 때를 자세히 보다가 내가 너희에게 암논을 치라 하거든 저를 죽이라
두려워 말라 내가 너희에게 명한 것이 아니냐 너희는 담대히 용맹을 내라 한지라
13:28 Now Absalom had given orders to his servants, saying, Now take note when Amnon's
heart is glad with wine; and when I say to you, Make an attack on Amnon, then put
him to death without fear: have I not given you orders? be strong and without fear.
13:28 Now Absalom had commanded his servants, saying, Mark all of you now when Amnon's heart is merry with wine, and when I say unto you, Strike Amnon; then kill him, fear not: have not I commanded you? be courageous, and be valiant.
13:29 압살롬의 사환들이 그 분부대로 암논에게 행하매 왕의 모든 아들이 일어나
각기 노새를 타고 도망하니라
13:29 So Absalom's servants did to Amnon as Absalom had given them orders. Then all the
king's sons got up, and every man got on his beast and went in flight.
13:29 And the servants of Absalom did unto Amnon as Absalom had commanded. Then all the king's sons arose, and every man got him up upon his mule, and fled.
13:30 ○ 저희가 길에 있을 때에 압살롬이 왕의 모든 아들을 죽이고 하나도 남기지
아니하였다는 소문이 다윗에게 이르매
13:30 Now while they were on their way, news was given to David that Absalom had put to
death all the sons of the king and that not one of them was still living.
13:30 And it came to pass, while they were in the way, that tidings came to David, saying, Absalom has slain all the king's sons, and there is not one of them left.
13:31 왕이 곧 일어나서 그 옷을 찢고 땅에 엎드러지고 그 신복들도 다 옷을 찢고
모셔 선지라
13:31 Then the king got up in great grief, stretching himself out on the earth: and all
his servants were by his side, with their clothing parted.
13:31 Then the king arose, and tare his garments, and lay on the earth; and all his servants stood by with their clothes rent.
13:32 다윗의 형 시므아의 아들 요나답이 고하여 가로되 내 주여 소년 왕자들이
다 죽임을 당한 줄로 생각지 마옵소서 오직 암논만 죽었으리이다 저가 압살롬의 누이
다말을 욕되게 한 날부터 압살롬이 결심한 것이니이다
13:32 And Jonadab, the son of Shimeah, David's brother, said, Let not my lord have the
idea that all the sons of the king have been put to death; for only Amnon is dead:
this has been purposed by Absalom from the day when he took his sister Tamar by
force.
13:32 And Jonadab, the son of Shimeah David's brother, answered and said, Let not my lord suppose that they have slain all the young men the king's sons; for Amnon only is dead: for by the appointment of Absalom this has been determined from the day that he forced his sister Tamar.
13:33 그러하온즉 내 주 왕이여 왕자들이 다 죽은 줄로 생각하여 괘념하지 마옵소서
암논만 죽었으리이다
13:33 So now, let not my lord the king take this thing to heart, with the idea that all
the king's sons are dead: for only Amnon is dead.
13:33 Now therefore let not my lord the king take the thing to his heart, to think that all the king's sons are dead: for Amnon only is dead.
13:34 ○ 이에 압살롬은 도망하니라 파수하는 소년이 눈을 들어 보니 뒷산 언덕길로
여러 사람이 오더라
13:34 But Absalom went in flight. And the young man who kept the watch, lifting up his
eyes, saw that a great band of people was coming down the slope by the way of the
Horons; and the watchman came and gave word to the king, saying, I saw men coming
down by the way of the Horons, from the hillside.
13:34 But Absalom fled. And the young man that kept the watch lifted up his eyes, and looked, and, behold, there came much people by the way of the hill side behind him.
13:35 요나답이 왕께 고하되 왕자들이 오나이다 종의 말 한 대로 되었나이다
13:35 And Jonadab said to the king, See, the king's sons are coming; as your servant said,
so it is.
13:35 And Jonadab said unto the king, Behold, the king's sons come: as your servant said, so it is.
13:36 말을 마치자 왕자들이 이르러 대성통곡하니 왕과 그 모든 신복도 심히 통곡하니라
13:36 And while he was talking, the king's sons came, with weeping and loud cries: and
the king and all his servants were weeping bitterly.
13:36 And it came to pass, as soon as he had made an end of speaking, that, behold, the king's sons came, and lifted up their voice and wept: and the king also and all his servants wept very sore.
13:37 ○ 압살롬은 도망하여 그술 왕 암미훌의 아들 달매에게로 갔고 다윗은 날마다
그 아들을 인하여 슬퍼하니라
13:37 So Absalom went in flight and came to Talmai, the son of Ammihud, the king of Geshur,
where he was for three years.
13:37 But Absalom fled, and went to Talmai, the son of Ammihud, king of Geshur. And David mourned for his son every day.
13:38 압살롬이 도망하여 그술로 가서 거한 지 삼 년이라
13:38 And the king was sorrowing for his son all the time.
13:38 So Absalom fled, and went to Geshur, and was there three years.
13:39 다윗 왕의 마음이 압살롬에게 향하여 간절하니 암논은 이미 죽었으므로
왕이 위로를 받았음이더라
13:39 And the heart of David was wasted with desire for Absalom: for he was comforted
for the death of Amnon.
13:39 And the soul of king David longed to go forth unto Absalom: for he was comforted concerning Amnon, seeing he was dead.
14:1 스루야의 아들 요압이 왕의 마음이 압살롬에게로 향하는 줄 알고
14:1 Now it was clear to Joab, the son of Zeruiah, that the king's heart was turning
to Absalom.
14:1 Now Joab the son of Zeruiah perceived that the king's heart was toward Absalom.
14:2 드고아에 보내어 거기서 슬기 있는 여인 하나를 데려다가 이르되 청컨대
너는 상주 된 것처럼 상복을 입고 기름을 바르지 말고 죽은 사람을 위하여 오래 슬퍼하는
여인 같이 하고
14:2 And Joab sent to Tekoa and got from there a wise woman, and said to her, Now make
yourself seem like one given up to grief, and put on the clothing of sorrow, not
using any sweet oil for your body, but looking like one who for a long time has
been weeping for the dead:
14:2 And Joab sent to Tekoah, and fetched thence a wise woman, and said unto her, I pray you, feign yourself to be a mourner, and put on now mourning apparel, and anoint not yourself with oil, but be as a woman that had a long time mourned for the dead:
14:3 왕께 들어가서 여차여차히 말하라고 할 말을 그 입에 넣어 주니라
14:3 And come to the king and say these words to him. So Joab gave her words to say.
14:3 And come to the king, and speak on this manner unto him. So Joab put the words in her mouth.
14:4 ○ 드고아 여인이 왕께 고할 때에 얼굴을 땅에 대고 엎드려 가로되 왕이여
도우소서
14:4 And the woman of Tekoa came to the king, and falling on her face, gave him honour
and said, Give me help, O king.
14:4 And when the woman of Tekoah spoke to the king, she fell on her face to the ground, and did reverence, and said, Help, O king.
14:5 왕이 저에게 이르되 무슨 일이냐 대답하되 나는 참 과부니이다 남편은 죽고
14:5 And the king said to her, What is your trouble? And her answer was, Truly I am a
widow, and my husband is dead.
14:5 And the king said unto her, What disturbs you? And she answered, I am indeed a widow woman, and mine husband is dead.
14:6 아들 둘이 있더니 저희가 들에서 싸우나 말려 줄 사람이 아무도 없으므로
저가 이를 쳐죽인지라
14:6 And I had two sons, and the two of them had a fight in the field, and there was
no one to come between them, and one with a blow put the other to death.
14:6 And your handmaid had two sons, and they two strove together in the field, and there was none to part them, but the one stroke the other, and slew him.
14:7 온 족속이 일어나서 왕의 계집종 나를 핍박하여 말하기를 그 동생을 죽인
자를 내어놓으라 우리가 그 동생 죽인 죄를 갚아 저를 죽여 사자 될 것까지 끊겠노라
하오니 그러한즉 저희가 내게 남아 있는 숯불을 꺼서 내 남편의 이름과 씨를 세상에
끼쳐두지 아니하겠나이다
14:7 And now all the family is turned against me, your servant, saying, Give up him who
was the cause of his brother's death, so that we may put him to death in payment
for the life of his brother, whose life he took; and we will put an end to the one
who will get the heritage: so they will put out my last burning coal, and my husband
will have no name or offspring on the face of the earth.
14:7 And, behold, the whole family has risen against yours handmaid, and they said, Deliver him that stroke his brother, that we may kill him, for the life of his brother whom he slew; and we will destroy the heir also: and so they shall quench my coal which is left, and shall not leave to my husband neither name nor remainder upon the earth.
14:8 왕이 여인에게 이르되 네 집으로 가라 내가 너를 위하여 명령을 내리리라
14:8 And the king said to the woman, Go to your house and I will give orders about this.
14:8 And the king said unto the woman, Go to yours house, and I will give charge concerning you.
14:9 드고아 여인이 왕께 고하되 내 주 왕이여 그 죄는 나와 내 아비의 집으로
돌릴 것이니 왕과 왕위는 허물이 없으리이다
14:9 And the woman of Tekoa said to the king, My lord, O king, may the sin be on me and
on my family, and may the king and the seat of his kingdom be clear of sin!
14:9 And the woman of Tekoah said unto the king, My lord, O king, the iniquity be on me, and on my father's house: and the king and his throne be guiltless.
14:10 왕이 가로되 누구든지 네게 말하는 자를 내게로 데려오라 저가 다시는 너를
건드리지도 못하리라
14:10 And the king said, If anyone says anything to you, make him come to me, and he will
do you no more damage.
14:10 And the king said, Whoever says ought unto you, bring him to me, and he shall not touch you any more.
14:11 여인이 가로되 청컨대 왕은 왕의 하나님 여호와를 생각하사 원수 갚는 자로
더 죽이지 못하게 하옵소서 내 아들을 죽일까 두려워 하나이다 왕이 가로되 여호와의
사심을 가리켜 맹세하노니 네 아들의 머리카락 하나라도 땅에 떨어지지 아니하리라
14:11 Then she said, Let the king keep in mind the Lord your God, so that he who gives
punishment for blood may be kept back from further destruction and that no one may
send death on my son. And he said, By the living Lord, not a hair of your son's
head will come to the earth.
14:11 Then said she, I pray you, let the king remember the LORD your God, that you would not suffer the revengers of blood to destroy any more, lest they destroy my son. And he said, As the LORD lives, there shall not one hair of your son fall to the earth.
14:12 ○ 여인이 가로되 청컨대 계집종을 용납하여 한 말씀으로 내 주 왕께 여쭙게
하옵소서 가로되 말하라
14:12 Then the woman said, Will the king let his servant say one word more? And he said,
Say on.
14:12 Then the woman said, Let yours handmaid, I pray you, speak one word unto my lord the king. And he said, Say on.
14:13 여인이 가로되 그러면 어찌하여 왕께서 하나님의 백성에게 대하여 이같은
도모를 하셨나이까 이 말씀을 하셨으니 왕께서 죄 있는 사람 같이 되심은 그 내어쫓긴
자를 집으로 돌아오게 아니하심이니이다
14:13 And the woman said, Why have you had such a thought about the people of God? (for
in saying these very words the king has put himself in the wrong because he has
not taken back the one whom he sent far away.)
14:13 And the woman said, Wherefore then have you thought such a thing against the people of God? for the king does speak this thing as one which is faulty, in that the king does not fetch home again his banished.
14:14 우리는 필경 죽으리니 땅에 쏟아진 물을 다시 모으지 못함 같을 것이오나
하나님은 생명을 빼앗지 아니하시고 방책을 베푸사 내어쫓긴 자로 하나님께 버린
자가 되지 않게 하시나이다
14:14 For death comes to us all, and we are like water drained out on the earth, which
it is not possible to take up again; and God will not take away the life of the
man whose purpose is that he who has been sent away may not be completely cut off
from him.
14:14 For we must essentially die, and are as water spilt on the ground, which cannot be gathered up again; neither does God respect any person: yet does he devise means, that his banished be not expelled from him.
14:15 이제 내가 와서 내 주 왕께 이 말씀을 여쭙는 것은 백성들이 나를 두렵게
하므로 계집종이 스스로 말하기를 내가 왕께 여쭈면 혹시 종의 청하는 것을 시행하실
것이라
14:15 And now it is my fear of the people which has made me come to say these words to
my lord the king: and your servant said, I will put my cause before the king, and
it may be that he will give effect to my request.
14:15 Now therefore that I am come to speak of this thing unto my lord the king, it is because the people have made me afraid: and your handmaid said, I will now speak unto the king; it may be that the king will perform the request of his handmaid.
14:16 왕께서 들으시고 나와 내 아들을 함께 하나님의 산업에서 끊을 자의 손에서
종을 구원하시리라 함이니이다
14:16 For the king will give ear, and take his servant out of the power of the man whose
purpose is the destruction of me and my son together from the heritage of God.
14:16 For the king will hear, to deliver his handmaid out of the hand of the man that would destroy me and my son together out of the inheritance of God.
14:17 계집종이 또 스스로 말하기를 내 주 왕의 말씀이 나의 위로가 되기를 원한다
하였사오니 이는 내 주 왕께서 하나님의 사자 같이 선과 악을 분간하심이니이다 원컨대
왕의 하나님 여호와께서 왕과 같이 계시옵소서
14:17 Then your servant said, May the word of my lord the king give me peace! for my lord
the king is as the angel of God in his hearing of good and bad: and may the Lord
your God be with you!
14:17 Then yours handmaid said, The word of my lord the king shall now be comfortable: for as an angel of God, so is my lord the king to discern good and bad: therefore the LORD your God will be with you.
14:18 ○ 왕이 그 여인에게 대답하여 이르되 내가 네게 묻는 것을 숨기지 말라
여인이 가로되 내 주 왕은 말씀하옵소서
14:18 Then the king said to the woman, Now give me an answer to the question I am going
to put to you; keep nothing back. And the woman said, Let my lord the king say on.
14:18 Then the king answered and said unto the woman, Hide not from me, I pray you, the thing that I shall ask you. And the woman said, Let my lord the king now speak.
14:19 왕이 가로되 이 모든 일에 요압이 너와 함께 하였느냐 여인이 대답하여
가로되 내 주 왕의 사심을 가리켜 맹세하옵나니 무릇 내 주 왕의 말씀을 좌로나 우로나
옮길 자가 없으리이다 왕의 종 요압이 내게 명하였고 저가 이 모든 말을 왕의 계집종의
입에 넣어 주었사오니
14:19 And the king said, Is not the hand of Joab with you in all this? And the woman in
answer said, By the life of your soul, my lord the king, it is not possible for
anyone to go to the right hand or to the left from anything said by the king: your
servant Joab gave me orders, and put all these words in my mouth:
14:19 And the king said, Is not the hand of Joab with you in all this? And the woman answered and said, As your soul lives, my lord the king, none can turn to the right hand or to the left from ought that my lord the king has spoken: for your servant Joab, he bade me, and he put all these words in the mouth of yours handmaid:
14:20 이는 왕의 종 요압이 이 일의 형편을 변하려 하여 이렇게 함이니이다 내
주 왕의 지혜는 하나님의 사자의 지혜와 같아서 땅에 있는 일을 다 아시나이다 하니라
14:20 This he did, hoping that the face of this business might be changed: and my lord
is wise, with the wisdom of the angel of God, having knowledge of everything on
earth.
14:20 To fetch about this form of speech has your servant Joab done this thing: and my lord is wise, according to the wisdom of an angel of God, to know all things that are in the earth.
14:21 ○ 왕이 요압에게 이르되 내가 이 일을 허락하였으니 가서 소년 압살롬을
데려오라
14:21 And the king said to Joab, See now, I will do this thing: go then and Come back
with the young man Absalom.
14:21 And the king said unto Joab, Behold now, I have done this thing: go therefore, bring the young man Absalom again.
14:22 요압이 땅에 엎드려 절하고 왕을 위하여 복을 빌고 가로되 내 주 왕이여
종의 구함을 허락하시니 종이 왕 앞에서 은혜 받은 줄을 오늘날 아나이다 하고
14:22 Then Joab, falling down on his face on the earth, gave the king honour and blessing;
and Joab said, Today it is clear to your servant that I have grace in your eyes,
my lord king, because the king has given effect to the request of his servant.
14:22 And Joab fell to the ground on his face, and bowed himself, and thanked the king: and Joab said, To day your servant knows that I have found grace in your sight, my lord, O king, in that the king has fulfilled the request of his servant.
14:23 일어나 그술로 가서 압살롬을 데리고 예루살렘으로 오니
14:23 So Joab got up and went to Geshur and came back again to Jerusalem with Absalom.
14:23 So Joab arose and went to Geshur, and brought Absalom to Jerusalem.
14:24 왕이 가로되 저를 그 집으로 물러가게 하고 내 얼굴을 보지 말게 하라 하매
압살롬이 자기 집으로 가고 왕의 얼굴을 보지 못하니라
14:24 And the king said, Let him go to his house, but let him not see my face. So Absalom
went back to his house and did not see the face of the king.
14:24 And the king said, Let him turn to his own house, and let him not see my face. So Absalom returned to his own house, and saw not the king's face.
14:25 ○ 온 이스라엘 가운데 압살롬 같이 아름다움으로 크게 칭찬 받는 자가
없었으니 저는 발바닥부터 정수리까지 흠이 없음이라
14:25 Now in all Israel there was no one so greatly to be praised for his beautiful form
as Absalom: from his feet to the crown of his head he was completely beautiful.
14:25 But in all Israel there was none to be so much praised as Absalom for his beauty: from the sole of his foot even to the crown of his head there was no blemish in him.
14:26 그 머리털이 무거우므로 연말마다 깎았으며 그 머리털을 깎을 때에 달아
본즉 왕의 저울로 이백 세겔이었더라
14:26 And when he had his hair cut, (which he did at the end of every year, because of
the weight of his hair;) the weight of the hair was two hundred shekels by the king's
weight.
14:26 And when he polled his head, (for it was at every year's end that he polled it: because the hair was heavy on him, therefore he polled it:) he weighed the hair of his head at two hundred shekels after the king's weight.
14:27 압살롬이 아들 셋과 딸 하나를 낳았는데 딸의 이름은 다말이라 얼굴이 아름다운
여자더라
14:27 And Absalom was the father of three sons and of one daughter named Tamar, who was
very beautiful.
14:27 And unto Absalom there were born three sons, and one daughter, whose name was Tamar: she was a woman of a fair countenance.
14:28 ○ 압살롬이 이태 동안을 예루살렘에 있으되 왕의 얼굴을 보지 못하였으므로
14:28 For two full years Absalom was living in Jerusalem without ever seeing the face
of the king.
14:28 So Absalom dwelt two full years in Jerusalem, and saw not the king's face.
14:29 요압을 왕께 보내려 하여 사람을 보내어 부르되 오지 아니하고 또 다시
보내되 오지 아니하는지라
14:29 Then Absalom sent for Joab to send him to the king, but he would not come to him:
and he sent again a second time, but he would not come.
14:29 Therefore Absalom sent for Joab, to have sent him to the king; but he would not come to him: and when he sent again the second time, he would not come.
14:30 압살롬이 그 종에게 이르되 보라 요압의 밭이 내 밭 근처에 있고 거기 보리가
있으니 가서 불을 놓으라 압살롬의 종들이 그 밭에 불을 놓았더니
14:30 So he said to his servants, See, Joab's field is near mine, and he has barley in
it; go and put it on fire. And Absalom's servants put the field on fire.
14:30 Therefore he said unto his servants, See, Joab's field is near mine, and he has barley there; go and set it on fire. And Absalom's servants set the field on fire.
14:31 요압이 일어나 압살롬의 집으로 와서 압살롬에게 이르되 어찌하여 네 종들이
내 밭에 불을 놓았느냐
14:31 Then Joab came to Absalom in his house and said to him, Why have your servants put
my field on fire?
14:31 Then Joab arose, and came to Absalom unto his house, and said unto him, Wherefore have your servants set my field on fire?
14:32 압살롬이 요압에게 대답하되 내가 일찍 사람을 네게 보내어 너를 이리로 청한
것은 내가 너를 왕께 보내어 고하게 하기를 어찌하여 내가 그술에서 돌아오게 되었나이까
이때까지 거기 있는 것이 내게 나았으리이다 하려 함이로다 이제는 네가 나로 왕의
얼굴을 보게 하라 내가 만일 죄가 있으면 왕이 나를 죽이시는 것이 가하니라
14:32 And Absalom's answer was, See, I sent to you saying, Come here, so that I may send
you to the king to say, Why have I come back from Geshur? it would be better for
me to be there still: let me now see the king's face, and if there is any sin in
me, let him put me to death.
14:32 And Absalom answered Joab, Behold, I sent unto you, saying, Come here, that I may send you to the king, to say, Wherefore am I come from Geshur? it had been good for me to have been there still: now therefore let me see the king's face; and if there be any iniquity in me, let him kill me.
14:33 요압이 왕께 나아가서 그 말을 고하매 왕이 압살롬을 부르니 저가 왕께
나아가 그 앞에서 얼굴을 땅에 대어 절하매 왕이 압살롬과 입을 맞추니라
14:33 So Joab went to the king and said these words to him: and when the king had sent
for him, Absalom came, and went down on his face on the earth before the king: and
the king gave him a kiss.
14:33 So Joab came to the king, and told him: and when he had called for Absalom, he came to the king, and bowed himself on his face to the ground before the king: and the king kissed Absalom.
15:1 이 후에 압살롬이 자기를 위하여 병거와 말들을 준비하고 전배 오십 명을
세우니라
15:1 Now after this, Absalom got for himself a carriage and horses, and fifty runners
to go before him.
15:1 And it came to pass after this, that Absalom prepared him chariots and horses, and fifty men to run before him.
15:2 압살롬이 일찌기 일어나 성문 길 곁에 서서 어떤 사람이든지 송사가 있어
왕에게 재판을 청하러 올 때에 그 사람을 불러서 이르되 너는 어느 성 사람이냐 그
사람의 대답이 종은 이스라엘 아무 지파에 속하였나이다 하면
15:2 And Absalom got up early, morning after morning, and took his place at the side
of the public meeting-place: and when any man had a cause which had to come to the
king to be judged, then Absalom, crying out to him, said, What is your town? and
he would say, Your servant is of one of the tribes of Israel.
15:2 And Absalom rose up early, and stood beside the way of the gate: and it was so, that when any man that had a controversy came to the king for judgment, then Absalom called unto him, and said, Of what city are you? And he said, Your servant is of one of the tribes of Israel.
15:3 압살롬이 저에게 이르기를 네 일이 옳고 바르다마는 네 송사 들을 사람을
왕께서 세우지 아니하셨다 하고
15:3 And Absalom would say to him, See, your cause is true and right; but no man has
been named by the king to give you a hearing.
15:3 And Absalom said unto him, See, your matters are good and right; but there is no man deputed of the king to hear you.
15:4 또 이르기를 내가 이 땅에서 재판관이 되고 누구든지 송사나 재판할 일이
있어 내게로 오는 자에게 내가 공의 베풀기를 원하노라 하고
15:4 And more than this, Absalom said, If only I was made judge in the land, so that
every man who has any cause or question might come to me, and I would give a right
decision for him!
15:4 Absalom said moreover, Oh that I were made judge in the land, that every man which has any suit or cause might come unto me, and I would do him justice!
15:5 사람이 가까이 와서 절하려 하면 압살롬이 손을 펴서 그 사람을 붙들고 입을
맞추니
15:5 And if any man came near to give him honour, he took him by the hand and gave him
a kiss.
15:5 And it was so, that when any man came nigh to him to do him reverence, he put forth his hand, and took him, and kissed him.
15:6 무릇 이스라엘 무리 중에 왕께 재판을 청하러 오는 자들에게 압살롬의 행함이
이 같아서 이스라엘 사람의 마음을 도적하니라
15:6 And this Absalom did to everyone in Israel who came to the king to have his cause
judged: so Absalom, like a thief, took away the hearts of the men of Israel.
15:6 And on this manner did Absalom to all Israel that came to the king for judgment: so Absalom stole the hearts of the men of Israel.
15:7 ○ 사 년 만에 압살롬이 왕께 고하되 내가 여호와께 서원한 것이 있사오니
청컨대 나로 헤브론에 가서 그 서원을 이루게 하소서
15:7 Now at the end of four years, Absalom said to the king, Let me go to Hebron and
give effect to the oath which I made to the Lord:
15:7 And it came to pass after forty years, that Absalom said unto the king, I pray you, let me go and pay my vow, which I have vowed unto the LORD, in Hebron.
15:8 종이 아람 그술에 있을 때에 서원하기를 만일 여호와께서 나를 예루살렘으로
돌아가게 하시면 내가 여호와를 섬기리이다 하였나이다
15:8 For while I was living in Geshur in Aram, your servant made an oath, saying, If
ever the Lord lets me come back to Jerusalem, I will give him worship in Hebron.
15:8 For your servant vowed a vow while I abode at Geshur in Syria, saying, If the LORD shall bring me again indeed to Jerusalem, then I will serve the LORD.
15:9 왕이 저에게 이르되 평안히 가라 하니 저가 일어나 헤브론으로 가니라
15:9 And the king said to him, Go in peace. So he got up and went to Hebron.
15:9 And the king said unto him, Go in peace. So he arose, and went to Hebron.
15:10 이에 압살롬이 정탐을 이스라엘 모든 지파 가운데 두루 보내어 이르기를
너희는 나팔 소리를 듣거든 곧 부르기를 압살롬이 헤브론에서 왕이 되었다 하라 하니라
15:10 But Absalom at the same time sent watchers through all the tribes of Israel to say,
At the sound of the horn you are to say, Absalom is king in Hebron.
15:10 But Absalom sent spies throughout all the tribes of Israel, saying, As soon as all of you hear the sound of the trumpet, then all of you shall say, Absalom reigns in Hebron.
15:11 그 때에 압살롬에게 청함을 받은 이백 명이 그 사기를 알지 못하고 아무
뜻 없이 예루살렘에서 저와 함께 갔으며
15:11 And with Absalom, at his request, went two hundred men from Jerusalem, who were
completely unconscious of his designs.
15:11 And with Absalom went two hundred men out of Jerusalem, that were called; and they went in their simplicity, and they knew not any thing.
15:12 제사 드릴 때에 압살롬이 사람을 보내어 다윗의 모사 길로 사람 아히도벨을
그 성읍 길로에서 청하여 온지라 반역하는 일이 커가매 압살롬에게로 돌아오는 백성이
많아지니라
15:12 And Absalom sent for Ahithophel the Gilonite, one of David's helpers, from Giloh
his town, while he was making the offerings. And the design against David became
strong, for more and more people were joined to Absalom.
15:12 And Absalom sent for Ahithophel the Gilonite, David's counsellor, from his city, even from Giloh, while he offered sacrifices. And the conspiracy was strong; for the people increased continually with Absalom.
15:13 ○ 사자가 다윗에게 와서 고하되 이스라엘의 인심이 다 압살롬에게로 돌아갔나이다
한지라
15:13 And one came to David and said, The hearts of the men of Israel have gone after
Absalom.
15:13 And there came a messenger to David, saying, The hearts of the men of Israel are after Absalom.
15:14 다윗이 예루살렘에 함께 있는 모든 신복에게 이르되 일어나 도망하자 그렇지
아니하면 우리 한 사람도 압살롬에게서 피하지 못하리라 빨리 가자 두렵건대 저가
우리를 급히 따라와서 해하고 칼로 성을 칠까 하노라
15:14 And David said to all his servants who were with him at Jerusalem, Come, let us
go in flight, or not one of us will be safe from Absalom: let us go without loss
of time, or he will overtake us quickly and send evil on us, and put the town to
the sword.
15:14 And David said unto all his servants that were with him at Jerusalem, Arise, and let us flee; for we shall not else escape from Absalom: make speed to depart, lest he overtake us suddenly, and bring evil upon us, and strike the city with the edge of the sword.
15:15 왕의 신복들이 왕께 고하되 우리 주 왕의 하고자 하시는 대로 우리가 행하리이다
하더라
15:15 And the king's servants said to the king, See, your servants are ready to do whatever
the king says is to be done.
15:15 And the king's servants said unto the king, Behold, your servants are ready to do whatsoever my lord the king shall appoint.
15:16 왕이 나갈 때에 권속을 다 따르게 하고 후궁 열 명을 남겨 두어 궁을 지키게
하니라
15:16 So the king went out, taking with him all the people of his house, but for ten of
his women, who were to take care of the house.
15:16 And the king went forth, and all his household after him. And the king left ten women, which were concubines, to keep the house.
15:17 왕이 나가매 모든 백성이 다 따라서 벧메르학에 이르러 머무늬
15:17 And the king went out, and all his servants went after him, and made a stop at the
Far House.
15:17 And the king went forth, and all the people after him, and tarried in a place that was far off.
15:18 모든 신복이 그 곁으로 지나가고 모든 그렛 사람과 모든 블렛 사람과 및
왕을 따라 가드에서 온 육백 인이 왕의 앞으로 진행하니라
15:18 And all the people went on by his side; and all the Cherethites and all the Pelethites
and all the men of Ittai of Gath, six hundred men who came after him from Gath,
went on before the king.
15:18 And all his servants passed on beside him; and all the Cherethites, and all the Pelethites, and all the Gittites, six hundred men which came after him from Gath, passed on before the king.
15:19 ○ 그 때에 왕이 가드 사람 잇대에게 이르되 어찌하여 너도 우리와 함께
가느냐 너는 쫓겨난 나그네니 돌아가서 왕과 함께 네 곳에 있으라
15:19 Then the king said to Ittai the Gittite, Why are you coming with us? go back and
keep with the king: for you are a man of another country, you are far from the land
of your birth.
15:19 Then said the king to Ittai the Gittite, Wherefore go you also with us? return to your place, and abide with the king: for you are a stranger, and also an exile.
15:20 너는 어제 왔고 나는 정처 없이 가니 오늘날 어찌 너로 우리와 함께 유리하게
하리요 너도 돌아가고 네 동포들도 데려가라 은혜와 진리가 너와 함께 있기를 원하노라
15:20 It was only yesterday you came to us; why then am I to make you go up and down with
us? for I have to go where I may; go back then, and take your countrymen with you,
and may the Lord's mercy and good faith be with you.
15:20 Whereas you came but yesterday, should I this day make you go up and down with us? seeing I go where I may, return you, and take back your brethren: mercy and truth be with you.
15:21 잇대가 왕께 대답하여 가로되 여호와의 사심과 우리 주 왕의 사심으로 맹세하옵나니
진실로 내 주 왕께서 어느 곳에 계시든지 무론 사생하고 종도 그 곳에 있겠나이다
15:21 And Ittai the Gittite in answer said, By the living Lord, and by the life of my
lord the king, in whatever place my lord the king may be, for life or death, there
will your servant be.
15:21 And Ittai answered the king, and said, As the LORD lives, and as my lord the king lives, surely in what place my lord the king shall be, whether in death or life, even there also will your servant be.
15:22 다윗이 잇대에게 이르되 앞서 건너가라 하매 가드 사람 잇대와 그 종자들과
그와 함께 한 아이들이 다 건너가고
15:22 And David said to Ittai, Go forward, then. And Ittai the Gittite went on, with all
his men and all the little ones he had with him.
15:22 And David said to Ittai, Go and pass over. And Ittai the Gittite passed over, and all his men, and all the little ones that were with him.
15:23 온 땅 사람이 대성통곡하며 모든 인민이 앞서 건너가매 왕도 기드론 시내를
건너가니 건너간 모든 백성이 광야 길로 향하니라
15:23 And there was great weeping in all the country when all the people went through;
and the king himself was waiting in the Kidron valley and all the people went by
him in the direction of the olive-tree on the edge of the waste land.
15:23 And all the country wept with a loud voice, and all the people passed over: the king also himself passed over the brook Kidron, and all the people passed over, toward the way of the wilderness.
15:24 사독과 그와 함께 한 모든 레위 사람이 하나님의 언약궤를 메어다가 내려놓고
아비아달도 올라와서 모든 백성이 성에서 나오기를 기다리더니
15:24 Then Zadok came, and Abiathar, and with them the ark of God's agreement: and they
put down the ark of God, till all the people from the town had gone by.
15:24 And lo Zadok also, and all the Levites were with him, bearing the ark of the covenant of God: and they set down the ark of God; and Abiathar went up, until all the people had done passing out of the city.
15:25 왕이 사독에게 이르되 하나님의 궤를 성으로 도로 메어 가라 만일 내가
여호와 앞에서 은혜를 얻으면 도로 나를 인도하사 내게 그 궤와 그 계신 데를 보이시리라
15:25 And the king said to Zadok, Take the ark of God back into the town: if I have grace
in the eyes of the Lord, he will let me come back and see it and his House again:
15:25 And the king said unto Zadok, Carry back the ark of God into the city: if I shall find favour in the eyes of the LORD, he will bring me again, and show me both it, and his habitation:
15:26 그러나 저가 말씀하시기를 내가 너를 기뻐하지 아니한다 하시면 종이 여기
있사오니 선히 여기시는 대로 내게 행하시옵소서 하리라
15:26 But if he says, I have no delight in you: then, here I am; let him do to me what
seems good to him.
15:26 But if he thus say, I have no delight in you; behold, here am I, let him do to me as seems good unto him.
15:27 왕이 또 제사장 사독에게 이르되 네가 선견자가 아니냐 너는 너희의 두
아들 곧 네 아들 아히마아스와 아비아달의 아들 요나단을 데리고 평안히 성으로 돌아가라
15:27 The king said further to Zadok the priest, See, you and Abiathar are to go back
to the town in peace, with your two sons, Ahimaaz, your son, and Jonathan, the son
of Abiathar.
15:27 The king said also unto Zadok the priest, Are not you a seer? return into the city in peace, and your two sons with you, Ahimaaz your son, and Jonathan the son of Abiathar.
15:28 너희에게서 내게 고하는 기별이 올 때까지 내가 광야 나룻터에서 기다리리라
15:28 See, I will be waiting at the way across the river, in the waste land, till I get
news from you.
15:28 See, I will tarry in the plain of the wilderness, until there come word from you to certify me.
15:29 사독과 아비아달이 하나님의 궤를 예루살렘으로 도로 메어다 놓고 거기
유하니라
15:29 So Zadok and Abiathar took the ark of God back to Jerusalem, and did not go away
from there.
15:29 Zadok therefore and Abiathar carried the ark of God again to Jerusalem: and they tarried there.
15:30 ○ 다윗이 감람 산 길로 올라갈 때에 머리를 가리우고 맨발로 울며 행하고
저와 함께 가는 백성들도 각각 그 머리를 가리우고 울며 올라가니라
15:30 And David went up the slopes of the Mount of Olives weeping all the way, with his
head covered and no shoes on his feet: and all the people who were with him, covering
their heads, went up weeping.
15:30 And David went up by the ascent of mount Olivet, and wept as he went up, and had his head covered, and he went barefoot: and all the people that was with him covered every man his head, and they went up, weeping as they went up.
15:31 혹이 다윗에게 고하되 압살롬과 함께 모반한 자들 가운데 아히도벨이 있나이다
하니 다윗이 가로되 여호와여 원컨대 아히도벨의 모략을 어리석게 하옵소서 하니라
15:31 And word came to David, saying, Ahithophel is among those who are joined to Absalom.
And David said, O Lord, let the wisdom of Ahithophel be made foolish.
15:31 And one told David, saying, Ahithophel is among the conspirators with Absalom. And David said, O LORD, I pray you, turn the counsel of Ahithophel into foolishness.
15:32 다윗이 하나님을 경배하는 마루턱에 이를 때에 아렉 사람 후새가 옷을 찢고
흙을 머리에 무릅쓰고 다윗을 맞으러 온지라
15:32 Now when David had come to the top of the slope, where they gave worship to God,
Hushai the Archite came to him in great grief with dust on his head:
15:32 And it came to pass, that when David was come to the top of the mount, where he worshipped God, behold, Hushai the Archite came to meet him with his coat rent, and earth upon his head:
15:33 다윗이 저에게 이르되 네가 만일 나와 함께 나아가면 내게 누를 끼치리라
15:33 David said to him, If you go on with me, you will be a trouble to me:
15:33 Unto whom David said, If you pass on with me, then you shall be a burden unto me:
15:34 그러나 네가 만일 성으로 돌아가서 압살롬에게 말하기를 왕이여 내가 왕의
종이니이다 이왕에는 왕의 부친의 종이었더니 내가 이제는 왕의 종이니이다 하면
네가 나를 위하여 아히도벨의 모략을 패하게 하리라
15:34 But if you go back to the town and say to Absalom, I will be your servant, O king;
as in the past I have been your father's servant, so now I will be yours: then you
will be able to keep Ahithophel's designs against me from being put into effect.
15:34 But if you return to the city, and say unto Absalom, I will be your servant, O king; as I have been your father's servant until now, so will I now also be your servant: then may you for me defeat the counsel of Ahithophel.
15:35 사독과 아비아달 두 제사장이 너와 함께 거기 있지 아니하냐 네가 궁중에서
무엇을 듣든지 사독과 아비아달 두 제사장에게 고하라
15:35 And have you not there Zadok and Abiathar the priests? so whatever comes to your
ears from the king's house, give word of it to Zadok and Abiathar the priests.
15:35 And have you not there with you Zadok and Abiathar the priests? therefore it shall be, that whatsoever you shall hear out of the king's house, you shall tell it to Zadok and Abiathar the priests.
15:36 저희의 두 아들 곧 사독의 아히마아스와 아비아달의 요나단이 저희와 함께
거기 있나니 무릇 너희 듣는 것을 저희 편으로 내게 기별할지니라
15:36 See, they have with them their two sons, Ahimaaz, Zadok's son, and Jonathan, the
son of Abiathar; by them you may send word to me of everything which comes to your
ears.
15:36 Behold, they have there with them their two sons, Ahimaaz Zadok's son, and Jonathan Abiathar's son; and by them all of you shall send unto me every thing that all of you can hear.
15:37 다윗의 친구 후새가 곧 성으로 들어가고 압살롬도 예루살렘으로 들어갔더라
15:37 So Hushai, David's friend, went into the town, and Absalom came to Jerusalem.
15:37 So Hushai David's friend came into the city, and Absalom came into Jerusalem.
16:1 다윗이 마루턱을 조금 지나니 므비보셋의 사환 시바가 안장 지운 두 나귀에
떡 이백과 건포도 일백 송이와 여름 실과 일백과 포도주 한 가죽 부대를 싣고 다윗을
맞는지라
16:1 And when David had gone a little way past the top of the slope, Ziba, the servant
of Mephibosheth, came to him, with two asses on which were two hundred cakes of
bread and a hundred stems of dry grapes and a hundred summer fruits and a skin of
wine.
16:1 And when David was a little past the top of the hill, behold, Ziba the servant of Mephibosheth met him, with a couple of asses saddled, and upon them two hundred loaves of bread, and an hundred bunches of raisins, and an hundred of summer fruits, and a bottle of wine.
16:2 왕이 시바에게 이르되 네가 무슨 뜻으로 이것을 가져왔느뇨 시바가 가로되
나귀는 왕의 권속들로 타게 하고 떡과 실과는 소년들로 먹게 하고 포도주는 들에서
곤비한 자들로 마시게 하려 함이니이다
16:2 And David said to Ziba, What is your reason for this? And Ziba said, The asses are
for the use of the king's people, and the bread and the fruit are food for the young
men; and the wine is for drink for those who are overcome by weariness in the waste
land.
16:2 And the king said unto Ziba, What mean you by these? And Ziba said, The asses be for the king's household to ride on; and the bread and summer fruit for the young men to eat; and the wine, that such as be faint in the wilderness may drink.
16:3 왕이 가로되 네 주인의 아들이 어디 있느뇨 시바가 왕께 고하되 예루살렘에
있는데 저가 말하기를 이스라엘 족속이 오늘 내 아비의 나라를 내게 돌리리라 하나이다
16:3 And the king said, And where is your master's son? And Ziba said, He is still at
Jerusalem: for he said, Today Israel will give back to me the kingdom of my father.
16:3 And the king said, And where is your master's son? And Ziba said unto the king, Behold, he abides at Jerusalem: for he said, To day shall the house of Israel restore me the kingdom of my father.
16:4 왕이 시바더러 이르되 므비보셋에게 있는 것이 다 네 것이니라 시바가 가로되
내가 절하나이다 내 주 왕이여 나로 왕의 앞에서 은혜를 입게 하옵소서 하니라
16:4 Then the king said to Ziba, Truly everything which was Mephibosheth's is yours.
And Ziba said, I give honour to my lord, may I have grace in your eyes, my lord,
O king!
16:4 Then said the king to Ziba, Behold, yours are all that pertained unto Mephibosheth. And Ziba said, I humbly plead to you that I may find grace in your sight, my lord, O king.
16:5 ○ 다윗 왕이 바후림에 이르매 거기서 사울의 집 족속 하나가 나오니 게라의
아들이요 이름은 시므이라 저가 나오면서 연하여 저주하고
16:5 And when King David came to Bahurim, a man of Saul's family named Shimei, the son
of Gera, came out from there, calling curses after him.
16:5 And when king David came to Bahurim, behold, thence came out a man of the family of the house of Saul, whose name was Shimei, the son of Gera: he came forth, and cursed still as he came.
16:6 또 다윗과 다윗 왕의 모든 신복을 향하여 돌을 던지니 그 때에 모든 백성과
용사들은 다 왕의 좌우에 있었더라
16:6 And he sent stones at David and at all the king's servants and at all the people
and at all the men of war by his side, on the right hand and on the left.
16:6 And he cast stones at David, and at all the servants of king David: and all the people and all the mighty men were on his right hand and on his left.
16:7 시므이가 저주하는 가운데 이와 같이 말하니라 피를 흘린 자여 비루한 자여
가거라 가거라
16:7 And Shimei said, with curses, Be gone, be gone, you man of blood, you good-for-nothing:
16:7 And thus said Shimei when he cursed, Come out, come out, you bloody man, and you man of Belial:
16:8 사울의 족속의 모든 피를 여호와께서 네게로 돌리셨도다 그 대신에 네가
왕이 되었으나 여호와께서 나라를 네 아들 압살롬의 손에 붙이셨도다 보라 너는 피를
흘린 자인 고로 화를 자취하였느니라
16:8 The Lord has sent punishment on you for all the blood of the family of Saul, whose
kingdom you have taken; and the Lord has given the kingdom to Absalom, your son:
now you yourself are taken in your evil, because you are a man of blood.
16:8 The LORD has returned upon you all the blood of the house of Saul, in whose position you have reigned; and the LORD has delivered the kingdom into the hand of Absalom your son: and, behold, you are taken in your mischief, because you are a bloody man.
16:9 ○ 스루야의 아들 아비새가 왕께 여짜오되 이 죽은 개가 어찌 내 주 왕을
저주하리이까 청컨대 나로 건너가서 저의 머리를 베게 하소서
16:9 Then Abishai, the son of Zeruiah, said to the king, Is this dead dog to go on cursing
my lord the king? let me go over and take off his head.
16:9 Then said Abishai the son of Zeruiah unto the king, Why should this dead dog curse my lord the king? let me go over, I pray you, and take off his head.
16:10 왕이 가로되 스루야의 아들들아 내가 너희와 무슨 상관이 있느냐 저가 저주하는
것은 여호와께서 저에게 다윗을 저주하라 하심이니 네가 어찌 그리하였느냐 할 자가
누구겠느냐 하고
16:10 And the king said, What have I to do with you, you sons of Zeruiah? Let him go on
cursing, for the Lord has said, Put a curse on David, and who then may say, Why
have you done so?
16:10 And the king said, What have I to do with you, all of you sons of Zeruiah? so let him curse, because the LORD has said unto him, Curse David. Who shall then say, Wherefore have you done so?
16:11 또 아비새와 모든 신복에게 이르되 내 몸에서 난 아들도 내 생명을 해하려
하거든 하물며 이 베냐민 사람이랴 여호와께서 저에게 명하신 것이니 저로 저주하게
버려두라
16:11 And David said to Abishai and to all his servants, You see how my son, the offspring
of my body, has made designs against my life: how much more then may this Benjamite
do so? Let him be, and let him go on cursing; for the Lord has given him orders.
16:11 And David said to Abishai, and to all his servants, Behold, my son, which came out of my bowels, seeks my life: how much more now may this Benjamite do it? let him alone, and let him curse; for the LORD has bidden him.
16:12 혹시 여호와께서 나의 원통함을 감찰하시리니 오늘날 그 저주 까닭에 선으로
내게 갚아 주시리라 하고
16:12 It may be that the Lord will take note of my wrongs, and give me back good in answer
to his cursing of me today.
16:12 It may be that the LORD will look on mine affliction, and that the LORD will requite me good for his cursing this day.
16:13 다윗과 그 종자들이 길을 갈 때에 시므이는 산비탈로 따라가면서 저주하고
저를 향하여 돌을 던지며 티끌을 날리더라
16:13 So David and his men went on their way: and Shimei went by the hillside parallel
with them, cursing and sending stones and dust at him.
16:13 And as David and his men went by the way, Shimei went along on the hill's side opposite to him, and cursed as he went, and threw stones at him, and cast dust.
16:14 왕과 그 함께 있는 백성들이 다 곤비하여 한 곳에 이르러 거기서 쉬니라
16:14 And the king and his people came tired to Jordan, and took their rest there.
16:14 And the king, and all the people that were with him, came weary, and refreshed themselves there.
16:15 ○ 압살롬과 모든 이스라엘 백성들이 예루살렘에 이르고 아히도벨도 저와
함께 이른지라
16:15 And Absalom and the men of Israel came to Jerusalem, and Ahithophel was with him.
16:15 And Absalom, and all the people the men of Israel, came to Jerusalem, and Ahithophel with him.
16:16 다윗의 친구 아렉 사람 후새가 압살롬에게 나아올 때에 저에게 말하기를
왕이여 만세, 왕이여 만세 하니
16:16 Then Hushai the Archite, David's friend, came to Absalom and said, Long life to
the king, long life to the king!
16:16 And it came to pass, when Hushai the Archite, David's friend, was come unto Absalom, that Hushai said unto Absalom, God save the king, God save the king.
16:17 압살롬이 후새에게 이르되 이것이 네가 친구를 후대하는 것이냐 네가 어찌하여
네 친구와 함께 가지 아니하였느냐
16:17 And Absalom said, Is this your love for your friend? why did you not go with your
friend?
16:17 And Absalom said to Hushai, Is this your kindness to your friend? why went you not with your friend?
16:18 후새가 압살롬에게 이르되 그렇지 아니하니이다 내가 여호와와 이 백성
모든 이스라엘의 택한 자에게 속하여 그와 함께 거할 것이니이다
16:18 And Hushai said to Absalom, Not so; I am for that man whom the Lord and this people
and all the men of Israel have taken as king, and I will take my place with him.
16:18 And Hushai said unto Absalom, Nay; but whom the LORD, and this people, and all the men of Israel, choose, his will I be, and with him will I abide.
16:19 또 내가 이제 누구를 섬기리이까 그 아들이 아니니이까 내가 전에 왕의
아버지를 섬긴 것 같이 왕을 섬기리이다 하니라
16:19 And more than this! where is my place as a servant? is it not before his son? as
I have been your father's servant, so will I be yours.
16:19 And again, whom should I serve? should I not serve in the presence of his son? as I have served in your father's presence, so will I be in your presence.
16:20 ○ 압살롬이 아히도벨에게 이르되 너는 어떻게 행할 모략을 우리에게 가르치라
16:20 Then Absalom said to Ahithophel, Give your opinion now, what are we to do?
16:20 Then said Absalom to Ahithophel, Give counsel among you what we shall do.
16:21 아히도벨이 압살롬에게 이르되 왕의
아버지가 머물러 두어 궁을 지키게
한 후궁들로 더불어 동침하소서 그리하면 왕께서 왕의 부친의 미워하는 바 됨을 온
이스라엘이 들으리니 왕과 함께 있는 모든 사람의 힘이 더욱 강하여지리이다
16:21 And Ahithophel said to Absalom, Go in to your father's women who are here looking
after his house; then all Israel will have the news that you are hated by your father,
and the hands of your supporters will be strong.
16:21 And Ahithophel said unto Absalom, Go in unto your father's concubines, which he has left to keep the house; and all Israel shall hear that you are abhorred of your father: then shall the hands of all that are with you be strong.
16:22 이에 사람들이 압살롬을 위하여 지붕에 장막을 치니 압살롬이 온 이스라엘
무리의 눈 앞에서 그 부친의 후궁들로 더불어 동침하니라
16:22 So they put up the tent for Absalom on the top of the house, and Absalom went in
to his father's women before the eyes of all Israel.
16:22 So they spread Absalom a tent upon the top of the house; and Absalom went in unto his father's concubines in the sight of all Israel.
16:23 그 때에 아히도벨의 베푸는 모략은 하나님께 물어 받은 말씀과 일반이라
저의 모든 모략은 다윗에게나 압살롬에게나 이와 같더라
16:23 In those days the opinions of Ahithophel were valued as highly as if through him
a man might get direction from God; so were they valued by David as much as by Absalom.
16:23 And the counsel of Ahithophel, which he counselled in those days, was as if a man had enquired at the oracle of God: so was all the counsel of Ahithophel both with David and with Absalom.
