1:1 사울의 죽은 후라 다윗이 아말렉 사람을 도륙하고 돌아와서 시글락에서 이틀을
유하더니
1:1 Now after the death of Saul, when David, having come back from the destruction of
the Amalekites, had been in Ziklag for two days;
1:1 Now it came to pass after the death of Saul, when David was returned from the slaughter of the Amalekites, and David had abode two days in Ziklag;
1:2 제 삼 일에 한 사람이 사울의 진에서 나왔는데 그 옷은 찢어졌고 머리에는
흙이 있더라 저가 다윗에게 나아와 땅에 엎드려 절하매
1:2 On the third day a man came from Saul's tents, with his clothing out of order and
earth on his head: and when he came to David, he went down on the earth and gave
him honour.
1:2 It came even to pass on the third day, that, behold, a man came out of the camp from Saul with his clothes rent, and earth upon his head: and so it was, when he came to David, that he fell to the earth, and did reverence.
1:3 다윗이 저에게 묻되 너는 어디서 왔느냐 대답하되 이스라엘 진에서 도망하여
왔나이다
1:3 And David said to him, Where have you come from? And he said, I have come in flight
from the tents of Israel.
1:3 And David said unto him, From whence come you? And he said unto him, Out of the camp of Israel am I escaped.
1:4 다윗이 가로되 일이 어떻게 되었느뇨 너는 내게 고하라 저가 대답하되 군사가
전쟁 중에서 도망하기도 하였고 무리 중에 엎드러져 죽은 자도 많았고 사울과 그
아들 요나단도 죽었나이다
1:4 And David said to him, How did things go? Give me the news. And in answer he said,
The people have gone in flight from the fight, and a great number of them are dead;
and Saul and his son Jonathan are dead.
1:4 And David said unto him, How went the matter? I pray you, tell me. And he answered, That the people are fled from the battle, and many of the people also are fallen and dead; and Saul and Jonathan his son are dead also.
1:5 다윗이 자기에게 고하는 소년에게 묻되 사울과 그 아들 요나단의 죽은 줄을
네가 어떻게 아느냐
1:5 And David said to the young man who gave him the news, Why are you certain that
Saul and his son Jonathan are dead?
1:5 And David said unto the young man that told him, How know you that Saul and Jonathan his son be dead?
1:6 그에게 고하는 소년이 가로되 내가 우연히 길보아 산에 올라 보니 사울이
자기 창을 의지하였고 병거와 기병은 저를 촉급히 따르는데
1:6 And the young man said, I came by chance to Mount Gilboa, and I saw Saul supporting
himself on his spear; and the war-carriages and horsemen overtook him.
1:6 And the young man that told him said, As I happened by chance upon mount Gilboa, behold, Saul leaned upon his spear; and, lo, the chariots and horsemen followed hard after him.
1:7 사울이 뒤로 돌이켜 나를 보고 부르시기로 내가 대답하되 내가 여기 있나이다
한즉
1:7 And looking back, he saw me and gave a cry to me. And answering him I said, Here
am I.
1:7 And when he looked behind him, he saw me, and called unto me. And I answered, Here am I.
1:8 내게 이르되 너는 누구냐 하시기로 내가 대답하되 나는 아말렉 사람이니이다
한즉
1:8 And he said to me, Who are you? And I said, I am an Amalekite.
1:8 And he said unto me, Who are you? And I answered him, I am an Amalekite.
1:9 또 내게 이르되 내 목숨이 아직 내게 완전히 있으므로 내가 고통에 들었나니
너는 내 곁에 서서 나를 죽이라 하시기로
1:9 Then he said to me, Come here to my side, and put me to death, for the pain of death
has me in its grip but my life is still strong in me.
1:9 He said unto me again, Stand, I pray you, upon me, and slay me: for anguish has come upon me, because my life is yet whole in me.
1:10 저가 엎드러진 후에는 살 수 없는 줄을 내가 알고 그 곁에 서서 죽이고 그
머리에 있는 면류관과 팔에 있는 고리를 벗겨서 내 주께로 가져왔나이다
1:10 So I put my foot on him and gave him his death-blow, because I was certain that
he would not go on living after his fall: and I took the crown from his head and
the band from his arm, and I have them here for my lord.
1:10 So I stood upon him, and slew him, because I was sure that he could not live after that he was fallen: and I took the crown that was upon his head, and the bracelet that was on his arm, and have brought them here unto my lord.
1:11 ○ 이에 다윗이 자기 옷을 잡아 찢으매 함께 있는 모든 사람도 그리하고
1:11 Then David gave way to bitter grief, and so did all the men who were with him:
1:11 Then David took hold on his clothes, and rent them; and likewise all the men that were with him:
1:12 사울과 그 아들 요나단과 여호와의 백성과 이스라엘 족속이 칼에 죽음을
인하여 저녁 때까지 슬퍼하여 울며 금식하니라
1:12 And till evening they gave themselves to sorrow and weeping, and took no food, weeping
for Saul and for Jonathan, his son, and for the people of the Lord and for the men
of Israel; because they had come to their end by the sword.
1:12 And they mourned, and wept, and fasted until even, for Saul, and for Jonathan his son, and for the people of the LORD, and for the house of Israel; because they were fallen by the sword.
1:13 다윗이 그 고한 소년에게 묻되 너는 어디 사람이냐 대답하되 나는 아말렉
사람 곧 외국인의 아들이니이다
1:13 And David said to the young man who had given him the news, Where do you come from?
And he said, I am the son of a man from a strange land; I am an Amalekite.
1:13 And David said unto the young man that told him, Whence are you? And he answered, I am the son of a stranger, an Amalekite.
1:14 다윗이 저에게 이르되 네가 어찌하여 손을 들어 여호와의 기름 부음 받은
자 죽이기를 두려워하지 아니하였느냐 하고
1:14 And David said to him, Had you no fear of stretching out your hand to put to death
the one marked with the holy oil?
1:14 And David said unto him, How were you not afraid to stretch forth yours hand to destroy the LORD's anointed?
1:15 소년 중 하나를 불러 이르되 가까이 가서 저를 죽이라 하매 그가 치매 곧
죽으니라
1:15 And David sent for one of his young men and said, Go near and put an end to him.
And he put him to death.
1:15 And David called one of the young men, and said, Go near, and fall upon him. And he stroke him that he died.
1:16 다윗이 저에게 이르기를 네 피가 네 머리로 돌아갈지어다 네 입이 네게 대하여
증거하기를 내가 여호와의 기름 부음 받은 자를 죽였노라 함이니라 하였더라
1:16 And David said to him, May your blood be on your head; for your mouth has given
witness against you, saying, I have put to death the man marked with the holy oil.
1:16 And David said unto him, Your blood be upon your head; for your mouth has testified against you, saying, I have slain the LORD's anointed.
1:17 ○ 다윗이 이 슬픈 노래로 사울과 그 아들 요나단을 조상하고
1:17 Then David made this song of grief for Saul and Jonathan, his son:
1:17 And David lamented with this lamentation over Saul and over Jonathan his son:
1:18 명하여 그것을 유다 족속에게 가르치라 하였으니 곧 활 노래라 야살의 책에
기록되었으되
1:18 (It is recorded in the book of Jashar for teaching to the sons of Judah) and he
said:
1:18 (Also he bade them teach the children of Judah the use of the bow: behold, it is written in the book of Jasher.)
1:19 이스라엘아 너의 영광이 산 위에서 죽임을 당하였도다 오호라 두 용사가
엎드러졌도다
1:19 The glory, O Israel, is dead on your high places! How have the great ones been made
low!
1:19 The beauty of Israel is slain upon your high places: how are the mighty fallen!
1:20 이 일을 가드에도 고하지 말며 아스글론 거리에도 전파하지 말지어다 블레셋
사람의 딸들이 즐거워할까, 할례 받지 못한 자의 딸들이 개가를 부를까 염려로다
1:20 Give no news of it in Gath, let it not be said in the streets of Ashkelon; or the
daughters of the Philistines will be glad, the daughters of men without circumcision
will be uplifted in joy.
1:20 Tell it not in Gath, publish it not in the streets of Askelon; lest the daughters of the Philistines rejoice, lest the daughters of the uncircumcised triumph.
1:21 길보아 산들아 너희 위에 우로가 내리지 아니하며 제물 낼 밭도 없을지어다
거기서 두 용사의 방패가 버린 바 됨이라 곧 사울의 방패가 기름 부음을 받지 않음
같이 됨이로다
1:21 O mountains of Gilboa, let there be no dew or rain on you, you fields of death:
for there the arms of the strong have been shamed, the arms of Saul, as if he had
not been marked with the holy oil.
1:21 All of you mountains of Gilboa, let there be no dew, neither let there be rain, upon you, nor fields of offerings: for there the shield of the mighty is vilely cast away, the shield of Saul, as though he had not been anointed with oil.
1:22 죽은 자의 피에서, 용사의 기름에서 요나단의 활이 물러가지 아니하였으며
사울의 칼이 헛되이 돌아오지 아니하였도다
1:22 From the blood of the dead, from the fat of the strong, the bow of Jonathan was
not turned back, the sword of Saul did not come back unused.
1:22 From the blood of the slain, from the fat of the mighty, the bow of Jonathan turned not back, and the sword of Saul returned not empty.
1:23 사울과 요나단이 생전에 사랑스럽고 아름다운 자러니 죽을 때에도 서로 떠나지
아니하였도다 저희는 독수리보다 빠르고 사자보다 강하였도다
1:23 Saul and Jonathan were loved and pleasing; in their lives and in their death they
were not parted; they went more quickly than eagles, they were stronger than lions.
1:23 Saul and Jonathan were lovely and pleasant in their lives, and in their death they were not divided: they were swifter than eagles, they were stronger than lions.
1:24 이스라엘 딸들아 사울을 슬퍼하여 울지어다 저가 붉은 옷으로 너희에게 화려하게
입혔고 금 노리개를 너희 옷에 채웠도다
1:24 O daughters of Israel, have sorrow for Saul, by whom you were delicately clothed
in robes of red, with ornaments of gold on your dresses.
1:24 All of you daughters of Israel, weep over Saul, who clothed you in scarlet, with other delights, who put on ornaments of gold upon your apparel.
1:25 오호라 두 용사가 전쟁 중에 엎드러졌도다 요나단이 너의 산 위에서 죽임을
당하였도다
1:25 How have the great ones been made low in the fight! Jonathan is dead on your high
places.
1:25 How are the mighty fallen in the midst of the battle! O Jonathan, you were slain in yours high places.
1:26 내 형 요나단이여 내가 그대를 애통함은 그대는 내게 심히 아름다움이라
그대가 나를 사랑함이 기이하여 여인의 사랑보다 승하였도다
1:26 I am full of grief for you, my brother Jonathan: very dear have you been to me:
your love for me was a wonder, greater than the love of women.
1:26 I am distressed for you, my brother Jonathan: very pleasant have you been unto me: your love to me was wonderful, passing the love of women.
1:27 오호라 두 용사가 엎드러졌으며 싸우는 병기가 망하였도다 하였더라
1:27 How have the great ones been made low, and the arms of war broken!
1:27 How are the mighty fallen, and the weapons of war perished!
2:1 그 후에 다윗이 여호와께 물어 가로되 내가 유다 한 성으로 올라가리이까
여호와께서 가라사대 올라가라 다윗이 가로되 어디로 가리이까 가라사대 헤브론으로
갈지니라
2:1 Now after this, David, questioning the Lord, said, Am I to go up into any of the
towns of Judah? And the Lord said to him, Go up. And David said, Where am I to go?
And he said, To Hebron.
2:1 And it came to pass after this, that David enquired of the LORD, saying, Shall I go up into any of the cities of Judah? And the LORD said unto him, Go up. And David said, Where shall I go up? And he said, Unto Hebron.
2:2 다윗이 그 두 아내 이스르엘 여인 아히노암과 갈멜 사람 나발의 아내 되었던
아비가일을 데리고 그리로 올라갈 때에
2:2 So David went there, taking with him his two wives, Ahinoam of Jezreel, and Abigail,
the wife of Nabal of Carmel.
2:2 So David went up thither, and his two wives also, Ahinoam the Jezreelitess, and Abigail Nabal's wife the Carmelite.
2:3 또 자기와 함께 한 종자들과 그들의 권속들을 다 데리고 올라가서 헤브론
각 성에 거하게 하니라
2:3 And David took all his men with him, every man with his family: and they were living
in the towns round Hebron.
2:3 And his men that were with him did David bring up, every man with his household: and they dwelt in the cities of Hebron.
2:4 유다 사람들이 와서 거기서 다윗에게 기름을 부어 유다 족속의 왕을 삼았더라
○ 혹이 다윗에게 고하여 가로되 사울을 장사한 사람은 길르앗 야베스 사람들이니이다
하매
2:4 And the men of Judah came there, and with the holy oil made David king over the
people of Judah. And word came to David that it was the men of Jabesh-gilead who
put Saul's body in its last resting-place.
2:4 And the men of Judah came, and there they anointed David king over the house of Judah. And they told David, saying, That the men of Jabeshgilead were they that buried Saul.
2:5 다윗이 길르앗 야베스 사람들에게 사자들을 보내어 가로되 너희가 너희 주
사울에게 이처럼 은혜를 베풀어 장사하였으니 여호와께 복을 받을지어다
2:5 And David sent to the men of Jabesh-gilead and said to them, May the Lord give you
his blessing, because you have done this kind act to Saul your lord, and have put
his body to rest!
2:5 And David sent messengers unto the men of Jabeshgilead, and said unto them, Blessed be all of you of the LORD, that all of you have showed this kindness unto your lord, even unto Saul, and have buried him.
2:6 너희가 이 일을 하였으니 이제 여호와께서 은혜와 진리로 너희에게 베푸시기를
원하고 나도 이 선한 일을 너희에게 갚으리니
2:6 May the Lord be good and true to you: and I myself will see that your kind act is
rewarded, because you have done this thing.
2:6 And now the LORD show kindness and truth unto you: and I also will requite you this kindness, because all of you have done this thing.
2:7 이제 너희는 손을 강하게 하고 담대히 할지어다 너희 주 사울이 죽었고 또
유다 족속이 내게 기름을 부어 저희의 왕을 삼았음이니라
2:7 Then let your hands be strong, and have no fear: though Saul your lord is dead,
the people of Judah have made me their king.
2:7 Therefore now let your hands be strengthened, and be all of you valiant: for your master Saul is dead, and also the house of Judah have anointed me king over them.
2:8 ○ 사울의 군장 넬의 아들 아브넬이 이미 사울의 아들 이스보셋을 데리고
마하나임으로 건너가서
2:8 Now Abner, the son of Ner, captain of Saul's army, had taken Saul's son Ish-bosheth
over to Mahanaim,
2:8 But Abner the son of Ner, captain of Saul's host, took Ishbosheth the son of Saul, and brought him over to Mahanaim;
2:9 길르앗과 아술과 이스르엘과 에브라임과 베냐민과 온 이스라엘의 왕을 삼았더라
2:9 And made him king over Gilead and the Asherites and over Jezreel and Ephraim and
Benjamin, that is, over all Israel.
2:9 And made him king over Gilead, and over the Ashurites, and over Jezreel, and over Ephraim, and over Benjamin, and over all Israel.
2:10 사울의 아들 이스보셋이 비로소 이스라엘 왕이 될 때에 나이 사십 세며 두 해
동안 위에 있으니라 유다 족속은 다윗을 따르니
2:10 (Saul's son Ish-bosheth was forty years old when he became king over Israel, and
he was ruler for two years.) But Judah was on the side of David.
2:10 Ishbosheth Saul's son was forty years old when he began to reign over Israel, and reigned two years. But the house of Judah followed David.
2:11 다윗이 헤브론에서 유다 족속의 왕이 된 날 수는 일곱 해 여섯 달 이더라
2:11 And the time when David was king in Hebron over the people of Judah was seven years
and six months.
2:11 And the time that David was king in Hebron over the house of Judah was seven years and six months.
2:12 ○ 넬의 아들 아브넬과 사울의 아들 이스보셋의 신복들은 마하나임에서 나와서
기브온에 이르고
2:12 And Abner, the son of Ner, with the servants of Saul's son Ish-bosheth, went out
from Mahanaim to Gibeon.
2:12 And Abner the son of Ner, and the servants of Ishbosheth the son of Saul, went out from Mahanaim to Gibeon.
2:13 스루야의 아들 요압과 다윗의 신복들도 나와서 기브온 못 가에서 저희를
만나 앉으니 이는 못 이편이요 저는 못 저편이라
2:13 And Joab, the son of Zeruiah, and the servants of David, went out and came face
to face with them by the pool of Gibeon; and they took up their position, facing
one another on opposite sides of the pool.
2:13 And Joab the son of Zeruiah, and the servants of David, went out, and met together by the pool of Gibeon: and they sat down, the one on the one side of the pool, and the other on the other side of the pool.
2:14 아브넬이 요압에게 이르되 청컨대 소년들로 일어나서 우리 앞에서 장난하게
하자 요압이 가로되 일어나게 하자 하매
2:14 And Abner said to Joab, Let the young men give a test of their strength before us.
And Joab said, Let them do so.
2:14 And Abner said to Joab, Let the young men now arise, and play before us. And Joab said, Let them arise.
2:15 저희가 일어나 그 수효대로 나아가니 베냐민과 사울의 아들 이스보셋의 편에
열 둘이요 다윗의 신복 중에 열 둘이라
2:15 So they got up and went over by number: twelve for Benjamin and Ish-bosheth and
twelve of the servants of David.
2:15 Then there arose and went over by number twelve of Benjamin, which pertained to Ishbosheth the son of Saul, and twelve of the servants of David.
2:16 각기 적수의 머리를 잡고 칼로 적수의 옆구리를 찌르매 일제히 쓰러진지라
그러므로 그 곳을 헬갓핫수림이라 일컬었으며 기브온에 있더라
2:16 And every one got the other by the head, driving his sword into the other's side,
so they all went down together: and that place was named the Field of Sides, and
it is in Gibeon.
2:16 And they caught every one his fellow by the head, and thrust his sword in his fellow's side; so they fell down together: wherefore that place was called Helkathhazzurim, which is in Gibeon.
2:17 그 날에 싸움이 심히 맹렬하더니 아브넬과 이스라엘 사람들이 다윗의 신복들
앞에서 패하니라
2:17 And there was hard fighting that day; and Abner and the men of Israel gave way before
the servants of David.
2:17 And there was a very sore battle that day; and Abner was beaten, and the men of Israel, before the servants of David.
2:18 ○ 그 곳에 스루야의 세 아들 요압과 아비새와 아사헬이 있었는데 아사헬의
발은 들노루 같이 빠르더라
2:18 There were three sons of Zeruiah there, Joab and Abishai and Asahel: and Asahel
was as quick-footed as a roe of the fields.
2:18 And there were three sons of Zeruiah there, Joab, and Abishai, and Asahel: and Asahel was as light of foot as a wild roe.
2:19 아사헬이 아브넬을 쫓아 달려가되 좌우로 치우치지 않고 아브넬의 뒤를 쫓으니
2:19 Asahel went running after Abner, not turning to the right or to the left.
2:19 And Asahel pursued after Abner; and in going he turned not to the right hand nor to the left from following Abner.
2:20 아브넬이 뒤를 돌아 보며 가로되 아사헬아 너냐 대답하되 내로라
2:20 Then Abner, looking back, said, Is it you, Asahel? And he said, It is I.
2:20 Then Abner looked behind him, and said, Are you Asahel? And he answered, I am.
2:21 아브넬이 저에게 이르되 너는 좌편으로나 우편으로나 치우쳐서 소년 하나를
잡아 그 군복을 빼앗으라 하되 아사헬이 치우치기를 원치 않고 그 뒤를 쫓으매
2:21 And Abner said, Then go to the right or to the left and put your hands on one of
the fighting-men and take his arms. But Asahel would not be turned away from going
after Abner.
2:21 And Abner said to him, Turn you aside to your right hand or to your left, and lay you hold on one of the young men, and take you his armour. But Asahel would not turn aside from following of him.
2:22 아브넬이 다시 아사헬에게 이르되 너는 나 쫓기를 그치라 내가 너를 쳐서
땅에 엎드러지게 할 까닭이 무엇이냐 그렇게 하면 내가 어떻게 네 형 요압을 대면하겠느냐
하되
2:22 Then again Abner said to Asahel, Go to one side, do not keep on coming after me:
why will you make me put an end to you? for then I will be shamed before your brother
Joab.
2:22 And Abner said again to Asahel, Turn you aside from following me: wherefore should I strike you to the ground? how then should I hold up my face to Joab your brother?
2:23 저가 치우치기를 싫어하매 아브넬이 창 뒤 끝으로 그 배를 찌르니 창이 그
등을 꿰뚫고 나간지라 곧 그 곳에 엎드러져 죽으매 아사헬의 엎드러져 죽은 곳에 이르는
자마다 머물러 섰더라
2:23 But still he did not go to one side: so Abner gave him a back blow in the stomach
with his spear, so that the spear came out at his back; and he went down on the
earth, wounded to death: and all those who came to the place where Asahel went down
dead, came to a stop.
2:23 Nevertheless he refused to turn aside: wherefore Abner with the hinder end of the spear stroke him under the fifth rib, that the spear came out behind him; and he fell down there, and died in the same place: and it came to pass, that as many as came to the place where Asahel fell down and died stood still.
2:24 ○ 요압과 아비새가 아브넬의 뒤를 쫓아 기브온 거친 땅의 길 가 기아 맞은편
암마 산에 이를 때에 해가 졌고
2:24 But Joab and Abishai went after Abner: and the sun went down when they came to the
hill of Ammah, which is to the east of the road through the waste land of Geba.
2:24 Joab also and Abishai pursued after Abner: and the sun went down when they were come to the hill of Ammah, that lies before Giah by the way of the wilderness of Gibeon.
2:25 베냐민 족속은 함께 모여 아브넬을 따라 한 떼를 이루고 작은 산 꼭대기에
섰더라
2:25 And the men of Benjamin came together after Abner in one band, and took their places
on the top of a hill.
2:25 And the children of Benjamin gathered themselves together after Abner, and became one troop, and stood on the top of an hill.
2:26 아브넬이 요압에게 외쳐 가로되 칼이 영영히 사람을 상하겠느냐 마침내 참혹한
일이 생길 줄을 알지 못하느냐 네가 언제나 무리에게 그 형제 쫓기를 그치라 명하겠느냐
2:26 Then crying out to Joab, Abner said, Are fighting and destruction to go on for ever?
do you not see that the end will only be bitter? how long will it be before you
send the people back and make them give up attacking their countrymen?
2:26 Then Abner called to Joab, and said, Shall the sword devour for ever? know you not that it will be bitterness in the latter end? how long shall it be then, before you bid the people return from following their brethren?
2:27 요압이 가로되 하나님이 사시거니와 네가 흔단의 말을 내지 아니하였더면
무리가 아침에 다 돌아갔을 것이요 그 형제를 쫓지 아니하였으리라 하고
2:27 And Joab said, By the living God, if you had not given the word, the people would
have gone on attacking their countrymen till the morning.
2:27 And Joab said, As God lives, unless you had spoken, surely then in the morning the people had gone up every one from following his brother.
2:28 나팔을 불매 온 무리가 머물러 서고 다시는 이스라엘을 쫓아가지 아니하고
다시는 싸우지도 아니하니라
2:28 So Joab had a horn sounded, and all the people came to a stop, and gave up going
after Israel and fighting them.
2:28 So Joab blew a trumpet, and all the people stood still, and pursued after Israel no more, neither fought they any more.
2:29 아브넬과 그 종자들이 밤새도록 행하여 아라바를 지나 요단을 건너 비드론
온 땅을 지나 마하나임에 이르니라
2:29 And all that night Abner and his men went through the Arabah; they went over Jordan
and through all Bithron and came to Mahanaim.
2:29 And Abner and his men walked all that night through the plain, and passed over Jordan, and went through all Bithron, and they came to Mahanaim.
2:30 ○ 요압이 아브넬 쫓기를 그치고 돌아와서 무리를 다 모으니 다윗의 신복
중에 십 구 인과 아사헬이 궐이 났으나
2:30 And Joab came back from fighting Abner: and when he had got all his men together,
it was seen that nineteen of David's men, in addition to Asahel, were not with them.
2:30 And Joab returned from following Abner: and when he had gathered all the people together, there lacked of David's servants nineteen men and Asahel.
2:31 다윗의 신복들이 베냐민과 아브넬에게 속한 자들을 쳐서 삼백 육십 명을
죽였더라
2:31 But David's men had put to death three hundred and sixty of the men of Benjamin
and of Abner's men
2:31 But the servants of David had smitten of Benjamin, and of Abner's men, so that three hundred and threescore men died.
2:32 무리가 아사헬을 베들레헴에 있는 그 아비 묘에 장사하고 요압과 그 종자들이
밤새도록 행하여 헤브론에 이를 때에 날이 밝았더라
2:32 And they took Asahel's body and put it in the last resting-place of his father in
Beth-lehem. And Joab and his men, travelling all night, came to Hebron at dawn.
2:32 And they took up Asahel, and buried him in the tomb of his father, which was in Bethlehem. And Joab and his men went all night, and they came to Hebron at break of day.
3:1 사울의 집과 다윗의 집 사이에 전쟁이 오래매 다윗은 점점 강하여 가고 사울의
집은 점점 약하여 가니라
3:1 Now there was a long war between Saul's people and David's people; and David became
stronger and stronger, but those on Saul's side became more and more feeble.
3:1 Now there was long war between the house of Saul and the house of David: but David waxed stronger and stronger, and the house of Saul waxed weaker and weaker.
3:2 ○ 다윗이 헤브론에서 아들들을 낳았으되 맏아들은 암논이라 이스르엘 여인
아히노암의 소생이요
3:2 While David was in Hebron he became the father of sons: the oldest was Amnon, son
of Ahinoam of Jezreel;
3:2 And unto David were sons born in Hebron: and his firstborn was Amnon, of Ahinoam the Jezreelitess;
3:3 둘째는 길르압이라 갈멜 사람 나발의 아내 되었던 아비가일의 소생이요 세째는
압살롬이라 그술 왕 달매의 딸 마아가의 아들이요
3:3 And the second, Chileab, whose mother was Abigail, the wife of Nabal the Carmelite;
and the third, Absalom, son of Maacah, the daughter of Talmai, king of Geshur;
3:3 And his second, Chileab, of Abigail the wife of Nabal the Carmelite; and the third, Absalom the son of Maacah the daughter of Talmai king of Geshur;
3:4 네째는 아도니야라 학깃의 아들이요 다섯째는 스바댜라 아비달의 아들이요
3:4 And the fourth, Adonijah, the son of Haggith; and the fifth, Shephatiah, the son
of Abital;
3:4 And the fourth, Adonijah the son of Haggith; and the fifth, Shephatiah the son of Abital;
3:5 여섯째는 이드르암이라 다윗의 아내 에글라의 소생이니 이는 다윗이 헤브론에서
낳은 자들이더라
3:5 And the sixth, Ithream, whose mother was David's wife Eglah. These were the sons
of David, whose birth took place in Hebron.
3:5 And the sixth, Ithream, by Eglah David's wife. These were born to David in Hebron.
3:6 ○ 사울의 집과 다윗의 집 사이에 전쟁이 있는 동안에 아브넬이 사울의 집에서
점점 권세를 잡으니라
3:6 Now while there was war between Saul's people and David's people, Abner was making
himself strong among the supporters of Saul.
3:6 And it came to pass, while there was war between the house of Saul and the house of David, that Abner made himself strong for the house of Saul.
3:7 사울에게 첩이 있었으니 이름은 리스바요 아야의 딸이더라 이스보셋이 아브넬에게
이르되 네가 어찌하여 내 아버지의 첩을 통간하였느냐
3:7 Now Saul had among his wives a woman named Rizpah, the daughter of Aiah: and Ish-bosheth
said to Abner, Why have you taken my father's wife?
3:7 And Saul had a concubine, whose name was Rizpah, the daughter of Aiah: and Ishbosheth said to Abner, Wherefore have you gone in unto my father's concubine?
3:8 아브넬이 이스보셋의 말을 매우 분히 여겨 가로되 내가 유다의 개 대강이뇨
내가 오늘날 당신의 아버지 사울의 집과 그 형제와 그 친구에게 은혜를 베풀어서
당신을 다윗의 손에 내어주지 아니하였거늘 당신이 오늘날 이 여인에게 관한 허물을
내게 돌리는도다
3:8 And Abner was very angry at the words of Ish-bosheth, and he said, Am I a dog's
head of Judah? I am this day doing all in my power for the cause of your father
Saul and for his brothers and his friends, and have not given you up into the hands
of David, and now you say I have done wrong with a woman.
3:8 Then was Abner very angry for the words of Ishbosheth, and said, Am I a dog's head, which against Judah do show kindness this day unto the house of Saul your father, to his brethren, and to his friends, and have not delivered you into the hand of David, that you charge me to day with a fault concerning this woman?
3:9 여호와께서 다윗에게 맹세하신 대로 내가 이루게 아니하면 하나님이 아브넬에게
벌 위에 벌을 내리심이 마땅하니라
3:9 May God's punishment be on Abner, if I do not for David as the Lord in his oath
has said,
3:9 So do God to Abner, and more also, except, as the LORD has sworn to David, even so I do to him;
3:10 그 맹세는 곧 이 나라를 사울의 집에서 다윗에게 옮겨서 그 위를 단에서
브엘세바까지 이스라엘과 유다에 세우리라 하신 것이니라 하매
3:10 And if I do not take away the kingdom from the family of Saul and make David ruler
over Israel and Judah from Dan as far as Beer-sheba!
3:10 To translate the kingdom from the house of Saul, and to set up the throne of David over Israel and over Judah, from Dan even to Beersheba.
3:11 이스보셋이 아브넬을 두려워하여 감히 한 말도 대답지 못하니라
3:11 And so great was Ish-bosheth's fear of Abner that he was not able to say a word
in answer.
3:11 And he could not answer Abner a word again, because he feared him.
3:12 ○ 아브넬이 자기를 대신하여 사자들을 다윗에게 보내어 가로되 이 땅이
뉘 것이니이까 또 가로되 당신은 나로 더불어 언약하사이다 내 손이 당신을 도와
온 이스라엘로 당신에게 돌아가게 하리이다
3:12 And Abner sent men to David at Hebron, saying, Make an agreement with me, and I
will give you my support in getting all Israel on your side.
3:12 And Abner sent messengers to David on his behalf, saying, Whose is the land? saying also, Make your league with me, and, behold, my hand shall be with you, to bring about all Israel unto you.
3:13 다윗이 가로되 좋다 내가 너와 언약하려니와 내가 네게 한 가지 일을 요구하노니
나를 보러 올 때에 위선 사울의 딸 미갈을 데리고 오라 그렇지 않으면 내 얼굴을
보지 못하리라 하고
3:13 And he said, It is well; I will make an agreement with you, but on one condition,
which is, that when you come before me, Saul's daughter Michal is to come with you;
till she comes you will not see my face.
3:13 And he said, Well; I will make a league with you: but one thing I require of you, that is, You shall not see my face, except you first bring Michal Saul's daughter, when you come to see my face.
3:14 사울의 아들 이스보셋에게 사자들을 보내어 이르되 내 처 미갈을 내게로
돌리라 저는 내가 전에 블레셋 사람의 양피 일백으로 정혼한 자니라
3:14 And David sent men to Saul's son Ish-bosheth, saying, Give me back Michal, my wife,
whom I made mine for the price of the private parts of a hundred Philistines.
3:14 And David sent messengers to Ishbosheth Saul's son, saying, Deliver me my wife Michal, which I espoused to me for an hundred foreskins of the Philistines.
3:15 이스보셋이 보내어 그 남편 라이스의 아들 발디엘에게서 취하매
3:15 So Ish-bosheth sent and took her from her husband Paltiel, the son of Laish.
3:15 And Ishbosheth sent, and took her from her husband, even from Phaltiel the son of Laish.
3:16 그 남편이 저와 함께 오되 울며 바후림까지 따라왔더니 아브넬이 저에게
돌아가라 하매 돌아가니라
3:16 And her husband went with her as far as Bahurim, weeping while he went. Then Abner
said to him, Go back. And he went back.
3:16 And her husband went with her along weeping behind her to Bahurim. Then said Abner unto him, Go, return. And he returned.
3:17 ○ 아브넬이 이스라엘 장로들에게 말하여 가로되 너희가 여러 번 다윗으로
너희 임금 삼기를 구하였으니
3:17 Then Abner had a talk with the chief men of Israel, saying, In the past it was your
desire to make David your king: so now, do it:
3:17 And Abner had communication with the elders of Israel, saying, All of you sought for David in times past to be king over you:
3:18 이제 그대로 하라 여호와께서 이미 다윗에 대하여 말씀하시기를 내가 내
종 다윗의 손으로 내 백성 이스라엘을 구원하여 블레셋 사람의 손과 모든 대적의
손에서 벗어나게 하리라 하셨음이니라 하고
3:18 For the Lord has said of David, By the hand of my servant David I will make my people
Israel safe from the Philistines, and from all who are against them.
3:18 Now then do it: for the LORD has spoken of David, saying, By the hand of my servant David I will save my people Israel out of the hand of the Philistines, and out of the hand of all their enemies.
3:19 아브넬이 또 베냐민 사람의 귀에 말하고 이스라엘과 베냐민의 온 집이 선히
여기는 모든 것을 다윗의 귀에 고하려고 헤브론으로 가니라
3:19 And Abner said the same things to Benjamin: and he went to David in Hebron to make
clear to him what seemed good to Israel and to all the people of Benjamin.
3:19 And Abner also spoke in the ears of Benjamin: and Abner went also to speak in the ears of David in Hebron all that seemed good to Israel, and that seemed good to the whole house of Benjamin.
3:20 아브넬이 종자 이십 인으로 더불어 헤브론에 이르러 다윗에게 나아가니 다윗이
아브넬과 그 함께 한 사람을 위하여 잔치를 배설하였더라
3:20 So Abner, with twenty men, came to Hebron, to David. And David made a feast for
Abner and the men who were with him.
3:20 So Abner came to David to Hebron, and twenty men with him. And David made Abner and the men that were with him a feast.
3:21 아브넬이 다윗에게 고하되 내가 일어나 가서 온 이스라엘 무리를 내 주 왕의
앞에 모아 더불어 언약하게 하고 마음의 원하시는 대로 모든 것을 다스리시게 하리이다
이에 다윗이 아브넬을 보내매 저가 평안히 가니라
3:21 And Abner said to David, Now I will go, and make all Israel come to my lord the
king, so that they may make an agreement with you, and your kingdom may be as wide
as your heart's desire. Then David sent Abner away and he went in peace.
3:21 And Abner said unto David, I will arise and go, and will gather all Israel unto my lord the king, that they may make a league with you, and that you may reign over all that yours heart desires. And David sent Abner away; and he went in peace.
3:22 ○ 다윗의 신복들과 요압이 적군을 치고 크게 노략한 물건을 가지고 돌아오니
아브넬은 이미 보냄을 받아 평안히 갔고 다윗과 함께 헤브론에 있지 아니한 때라
3:22 Now the servants of David and Joab had been out attacking a band of armed men, and
they came back with a great store of goods taken in the fight: but Abner was no
longer in Hebron with David, for he had sent him away and he had gone in peace.
3:22 And, behold, the servants of David and Joab came from pursuing a troop, and brought in a great spoil with them: but Abner was not with David in Hebron; for he had sent him away, and he was gone in peace.
3:23 요압과 그 함께 한 모든 군사가 돌아오매 혹이 요압에게 고하여 가로되 넬의
아들 아브넬이 왕에게 왔더니 왕이 보내매 저가 평안히 갔나이다
3:23 When Joab and his men came, news was given them that Abner, the son of Ner, had
come to the king, who had let him go away again in peace.
3:23 When Joab and all the host that was with him were come, they told Joab, saying, Abner the son of Ner came to the king, and he has sent him away, and he is gone in peace.
3:24 요압이 왕에게 나아가 가로되 어찌 하심이니이까 아브넬이 왕에게 나아왔거늘
어찌하여 저를 보내어 잘 가게 하셨나이까
3:24 Then Joab came to the king, and said, What have you done? when Abner came to you
why did you send him away and let him go?
3:24 Then Joab came to the king, and said, What have you done? behold, Abner came unto you; why is it that you have sent him away, and he is quite gone?
3:25 왕도 아시려니와 넬의 아들 아브넬의 온 것은 왕을 속임이라 왕의 출입하는
것을 알고 모든 하시는 것을 알려 함이니이다 하고
3:25 Is it not clear to you that Abner, the son of Ner, came with deceit to get knowledge
of your going out and your coming in and of all you are doing?
3:25 You know Abner the son of Ner, that he came to deceive you, and to know your going out and your coming in, and to know all that you do.
3:26 이에 다윗에게서 나와서 사자들을 보내어 아브넬을 쫓아가게 하였더니 시라
우물 가에서 저를 데리고 돌아왔으나 다윗은 알지 못하였더라
3:26 And when Joab had come out from David, he sent men after Abner, and they overtook
him at the water-spring of Sirah, and made him come back with them: but David had
no knowledge of it.
3:26 And when Joab was come out from David, he sent messengers after Abner, which brought him again from the well of Sirah: but David knew it not.
3:27 ○ 아브넬이 헤브론으로 돌아오매 요압이 더불어 종용히 말하려는 듯이 저를
데리고 성문으로 들어가서 거기서 배를 찔러 죽이니 이는 자기의 동생 아사헬의 피를
인함이더라
3:27 And when Abner was back in Hebron, Joab took him on one side by the doorway of the
town to have a word with him quietly, and there he gave him a wound in the stomach,
causing his death in payment for the death of his brother Asahel.
3:27 And when Abner was returned to Hebron, Joab took him aside in the gate to speak with him quietly, and stroke him there under the fifth rib, that he died, for the blood of Asahel his brother.
3:28 그 후에 다윗이 듣고 이르되 넬의 아들 아브넬의 피에 대하여 나와 내 나라는
여호와 앞에 영원히 무죄하니
3:28 And when David had word of it he said, May I and my kingdom be clear for ever in
the eyes of the Lord from the blood of Abner, the son of Ner:
3:28 And afterward when David heard it, he said, I and my kingdom are guiltless before the LORD for ever from the blood of Abner the son of Ner:
3:29 그 죄가 요압의 머리와 그 아비의 온 집으로 돌아갈지어다 또 요압의 집에서
백탁병자나 문둥병자나 지팡이를 의지하는 자나 칼에 죽는 자나 양식이 핍절한 자가
끊어지지 아니할지로다 하니라
3:29 May it come on the head of Joab and all his father's family: among the men of Joab's
family may there ever be some who are diseased or lepers, or who do the work of
women, or are put to the sword, or are wasted from need of food!
3:29 Let it rest on the head of Joab, and on all his father's house; and let there not fail from the house of Joab one that has an issue, or that is a leper, or that leans on a staff, or that falls on the sword, or that lacks bread.
3:30 요압과 그 동생 아비새가 아브넬을 죽인 것은 저가 기브온 전쟁에서 자기
동생 아사헬을 죽인 까닭이었더라
3:30 So Joab and Abishai his brother put Abner to death, because he had put to death
their brother Asahel in the fight at Gibeon.
3:30 So Joab, and Abishai his brother slew Abner, because he had slain their brother Asahel at Gibeon in the battle.
3:31 ○ 다윗이 요압과 및 자기와 함께 있는 모든 백성에게 이르되 너희는 옷을
찢고 굵은 베를 띠고 아브넬 앞에서 애통하라 하니라 다윗 왕이 상여를 따라가서
3:31 And David said to Joab and all the people who were with him, Go in grief and put
haircloth about you, in sorrow for Abner. And King David went after the dead body.
3:31 And David said to Joab, and to all the people that were with him, Rend your clothes, and gird you with sackcloth, and mourn before Abner. And king David himself followed the bier.
3:32 아브넬을 헤브론에 장사하고 아브넬의 무덤에서 소리를 높여 울고 백성도
다 우니라
3:32 And they put Abner's body to rest in Hebron; and the king and all the people were
weeping loudly by the resting-place of Abner's body.
3:32 And they buried Abner in Hebron: and the king lifted up his voice, and wept at the grave of Abner; and all the people wept.
3:33 왕이 아브넬을 위하여 애가를 지어 가로되 아브넬의 죽음이 어찌하여 미련한
자의 죽음 같은고
3:33 And the king made a song of grief for Abner and said, Was the death of Abner to
be like the death of a foolish man?
3:33 And the king lamented over Abner, and said, Died Abner as a fool dies?
3:34 네 손이 결박되지 아니하였고 네 발이 착고에 채이지 아니하였거늘 불의한
자식의 앞에 엎드러짐 같이 네가 엎드러졌도다 하매 온 백성이 다시 그를 슬퍼하여 우니라
3:34 Your hands were free, your feet were not chained: like the downfall of a man before
evil men, so was your fall. And the weeping of the people over him went on again.
3:34 Your hands were not bound, nor your feet put into fetters: as a man falls before wicked men, so fell you. And all the people wept again over him.
3:35 석양에 뭇 백성이 나아와 다윗에게 음식을 권하니 다윗이 맹세하여 가로되
내가 해지기 전에 떡이나 다른 것을 맛보면 하나님이 내게 벌 위에 벌을 내리심이
마땅하니라 하매
3:35 And the people came to make David take food, while it was still day, but David with
an oath said, May God's punishment be on me if I take a taste of bread or any other
thing till the sun has gone down!
3:35 And when all the people came to cause David to eat food while it was yet day, David swore, saying, So do God to me, and more also, if I taste bread, or ought else, till the sun be down.
3:36 온 백성이 보고 기뻐하며 왕이 무슨 일을 하든지 무리가 다 기뻐하므로
3:36 And all the people took note of it and were pleased: like everything the king did,
it was pleasing to the people.
3:36 And all the people took notice of it, and it pleased them: as whatsoever the king did pleased all the people.
3:37 이 날에야 온 백성과 온 이스라엘이 넬의 아들 아브넬을 죽인 것이 왕의
한 바가 아닌 줄을 아니라
3:37 So it was clear to Israel and to all the people on that day that the king was not
responsible for the death of Abner, the son of Ner.
3:37 For all the people and all Israel understood that day that it was not of the king to slay Abner the son of Ner.
3:38 왕이 그 신복에게 이르되 오늘 이스라엘의 방백이요 또는 대인이 죽은 것을
알지 못하느냐
3:38 And the king said to his servants, Do you not see that a chief and a great man has
come to his end today in Israel?
3:38 And the king said unto his servants, Know all of you not that there is a prince and a great man fallen this day in Israel?
3:39 내가 기름 부음을 받은 왕이 되었으나 오늘날 약하여서 스루야의 아들인
이 사람들을 제어하기가 너무 어려우니 여호와는 악행한 자에게 그 악한 대로 갚으실지로다
하니라
3:39 While I, though I am crowned king, have little strength, and these men, the sons
of Zeruiah, are out of my control: may the Lord give to the evil-doer the reward
of his evil-doing!
3:39 And I am this day weak, though anointed king; and these men the sons of Zeruiah be too hard for me: the LORD shall reward the doer of evil according to his wickedness.
4:1 사울의 아들 이스보셋이 아브넬의 헤브론에서 죽었다 함을 듣고 손 맥이 풀렸고
온 이스라엘이 놀라니라
4:1 And when Saul's son Ish-bosheth had news that Abner was dead in Hebron, his hands
became feeble, and all the Israelites were troubled.
4:1 And when Saul's son heard that Abner was dead in Hebron, his hands were feeble, and all the Israelites were troubled.
4:2 사울의 아들 이스보셋에게 군장 두 사람이 있으니 하나의 이름은 바아나요
하나의 이름은 레갑이라 베냐민 족속 브에롯 사람 림몬의 아들들이더라 브에롯도
베냐민 지파에 속하였으니
4:2 And Saul's son had two men, captains of bands, one named Baanah and the other Rechab,
sons of Rimmon the Beerothite, of the tribe of Benjamin; (for Beeroth was at one
time taken to be part of Benjamin:
4:2 And Saul's son had two men that were captains of bands: the name of the one was Baanah, and the name of the other Rechab, the sons of Rimmon a Beerothite, of the children of Benjamin: (for Beeroth also was reckoned to Benjamin.
4:3 일찍 브에롯 사람들이 깃다임으로 도망하여 오늘까지 거기 우거함이더라
4:3 But the people of Beeroth had gone in flight to Gittaim, where they have been living
to this day.)
4:3 And the Beerothites fled to Gittaim, and were sojourners there until this day.)
4:4 ○ 사울의 아들 요나단에게 절뚝발이 아들 하나가 있으니 이름은 므비보셋이라
전에 사울과 요나단의 죽은 소식이 이스르엘에서 올 때에 그 나이 다섯 살이었는데
그 유모가 안고 도망하더니 급히 도망하므로 아이가 떨어져 절게 되었더라
4:4 Now Jonathan, Saul's son, had a son whose feet were damaged. He was five years old
when news of the death of Saul and Jonathan came from Jezreel, and the woman who
took care of him took him up and went in flight: and while she was getting him away
as quickly as she was able, he had a fall and his feet were damaged. His name was
Mephibosheth.
4:4 And Jonathan, Saul's son, had a son that was lame of his feet. He was five years old when the tidings came of Saul and Jonathan out of Jezreel, and his nurse took him up, and fled: and it came to pass, as she made haste to flee, that he fell, and became lame. And his name was Mephibosheth.
4:5 ○ 브에롯 사람 림몬의 아들 레갑과 바아나가 행하여 볕이 쬘 때 즈음에 이스보셋의
집에 이르니 마침 저가 낮잠을 자는지라
4:5 And Rechab and Baanah, the sons of Rimmon the Beerothite, went out and came to the
house of Ish-bosheth in the heat of the day, when he was resting in the middle of
the day. Now the woman who kept the door was cleaning grain, and sleep overcame
her.
4:5 And the sons of Rimmon the Beerothite, Rechab and Baanah, went, and came about the heat of the day to the house of Ishbosheth, who lay on a bed at noon.
4:6 레갑과 그 형제 바아나가 밀을 가지러 온 체하고 집 가운데로 들어가서 그
배를 찌르고 도망하였더라
4:6 And Rechab and his brother Baanah got in without being seen.
4:6 And they came thither into the midst of the house, as though they would have fetched wheat; and they stroke him under the fifth rib: and Rechab and Baanah his brother escaped.
4:7 저희가 집에 들어가니 이스보셋이 침실에서 상 위에 누웠는지라 저를 쳐죽이고
목을 베어 그 머리를 가지고 밤새도록 아라바 길로 행하여
4:7 And when they came into the house, Ish-bosheth was stretched on his bed in his bedroom;
and they made an attack on him and put him to death, and, cutting off his head,
they took it with them and went by the road through the Arabah all night.
4:7 For when they came into the house, he lay on his bed in his bedchamber, and they stroke him, and slew him, and beheaded him, and took his head, and got them away through the plain all night.
4:8 헤브론에 이르러 다윗 왕에게 이스보셋의 머리를 드리며 고하되 왕의 생명을
해하려 하던 원수 사울의 아들 이스보셋의 머리가 여기 있나이다 여호와께서 오늘
우리 주 되신 왕의 원수를 사울과 그 자손에게 갚으셨나이다
4:8 And they took the head of Ish-bosheth to David in Hebron, and said to the king,
Here is the head of Ish-bosheth, the son of Saul your hater, who would have taken
your life; the Lord has taken payment for the wrongs of my lord the king from Saul
and his seed today.
4:8 And they brought the head of Ishbosheth unto David to Hebron, and said to the king, Behold the head of Ishbosheth the son of Saul yours enemy, which sought your life; and the LORD has avenged my lord the king this day of Saul, and of his seed.
4:9 다윗이 브레롯 사람 림몬의 아들 레갑과 그 형제 바아나에게 대답하여 가로되
내 생명을 여러 환난 가운데서 건지신 여호와의 사심을 가리켜 맹세하노니
4:9 And David made answer to Rechab and his brother Baanah, the sons of Rimmon the Beerothite,
and said to them, By the living Lord, who has kept me safe from all my trouble,
4:9 And David answered Rechab and Baanah his brother, the sons of Rimmon the Beerothite, and said unto them, As the LORD lives, who has redeemed my soul out of all adversity,
4:10 전에 사람이 내게 고하기를 사울이 죽었다 하며 좋은 소식을 전하는 줄로
생각하였어도 내가 저를 잡아 시글락에서 죽여서 그것으로 그 기별의 갚음을 삼았거든
4:10 When one came to me with the news of Saul's death, in the belief that it would be
good news, I took him and put him to death in Ziklag, which was the reward I gave
him for his news:
4:10 When one told me, saying, Behold, Saul is dead, thinking to have brought good tidings, I took hold of him, and slew him in Ziklag, who thought that I would have given him a reward for his tidings:
4:11 하물며 악인이 의인을 그 집 침상 위에서 죽인 것이겠느냐 그런즉 내가 저의
피흘린 죄를 너희에게 갚아서 너희를 이 땅에서 없이하지 아니하겠느냐 하고
4:11 How much more, when evil men have put an upright person to death, in his house,
sleeping on his bed, will I take payment from you for his blood, and have you cut
off from the earth?
4:11 How much more, when wicked men have slain a righteous person in his own house upon his bed? shall I not therefore now require his blood of your hand, and take you away from the earth?
4:12 소년들을 명하매 곧 저희를 죽이고 수족을 베어 헤브론 못 가에 매어달고
이스보셋의 머리를 가져다가 헤브론에서 아브넬의 무덤에 장사하였더라
4:12 And David gave orders to his young men and they put them to death, cutting off their
hands and their feet and hanging them up by the side of the pool in Hebron. But
they took the head of Ish-bosheth and put it in its last resting-place with Abner's
body in Hebron.
4:12 And David commanded his young men, and they slew them, and cut off their hands and their feet, and hanged them up over the pool in Hebron. But they took the head of Ishbosheth, and buried it in the tomb of Abner in Hebron.
5:1 이스라엘 모든 지파가 헤브론에 이르러 다윗에게 나아와 말하여 가로되 보소서
우리는 왕의 골육이니이다
5:1 Then all the tribes of Israel came to David in Hebron and said, Truly, we are your
bone and your flesh.
5:1 Then came all the tribes of Israel to David unto Hebron, and spoke, saying, Behold, we are your bone and your flesh.
5:2 전일 곧 사울이 우리의 왕이 되었을 때에도 이스라엘을 거느려 출입하게 한
자는 왕이시었고 여호와께서도 왕에게 말씀하시기를 네가 내 백성 이스라엘의 목자가
되며 이스라엘의 주권자가 되리라 하셨나이다 하니라
5:2 In the past when Saul was king over us, it was you who went at the head of Israel
when they went out or came in: and the Lord said to you, You are to be the keeper
of my people Israel and their ruler.
5:2 Also in time past, when Saul was king over us, you were he that led out and brought in Israel: and the LORD said to you, You shall feed my people Israel, and you shall be a captain over Israel.
5:3 이에 이스라엘 모든 장로가 헤브론에 이르러 왕에게 나아오매 다윗 왕이 헤브론에서
여호와 앞에서 저희와 언약을 세우매 저희가 다윗에게 기름을 부어 이스라엘 왕을
삼으니라
5:3 So all the responsible men of Israel came to the king at Hebron; and King David
made an agreement with them in Hebron before the Lord: and they put the holy oil
on David and made him king over Israel.
5:3 So all the elders of Israel came to the king to Hebron; and king David made a league with them in Hebron before the LORD: and they anointed David king over Israel.
5:4 ○ 다윗이 삼십 세에 위에 나아가서 사십 년을 다스렸으되
5:4 David was thirty years old when he became king, and he was king for forty years,
5:4 David was thirty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned forty years.
5:5 헤브론에서 칠 년 육 개월 동안 유다를 다스렸고 예루살렘에서 삼십 삼 년
동안 온 이스라엘과 유다를 다스렸더라
5:5 Ruling over Judah in Hebron for seven years and six months, and in Jerusalem, over
all Israel and Judah, for thirty-three years.
5:5 In Hebron he reigned over Judah seven years and six months: and in Jerusalem he reigned thirty and three years over all Israel and Judah.
5:6 ○ 왕과 그 종자들이 예루살렘으로 가서 그 땅 거민 여부스 사람을 치려 하매
그 사람들이 다윗에게 말하여 가로되 네가 이리로 들어오지 못하리라 소경과 절뚝발이라도
너를 물리치리라 하니 저희 생각에는 다윗이 이리로 들어오지 못하리라 함이나
5:6 And the king and his men went to Jerusalem against the Jebusites, the people of
the land: and they said to David, You will not come in here, but the blind and the
feeble-footed will keep you out; for they said, David will not be able to come in
here.
5:6 And the king and his men went to Jerusalem unto the Jebusites, the inhabitants of the land: which spoke unto David, saying, Except you take away the blind and the lame, you shall not come in here: thinking, David cannot come in here.
5:7 다윗이 시온 산성을 빼앗았으니 이는 다윗 성이더라
5:7 But David took the strong place of Zion, which is the town of David.
5:7 Nevertheless David took the strong hold of Zion: the same is the city of David.
5:8 그 날에 다윗이 이르기를 누구든지 여부스 사람을 치거든 수구로 올라가서
다윗의 마음에 미워하는 절뚝발이와 소경을 치라 하였으므로 속담이 되어 이르기를
소경과 절뚝발이는 집에 들어오지 못하리라 하더라
5:8 And that day David said, Whoever makes an attack on the Jebusites, let him go up
by the water-pipe, and put to death all the blind and feeble-footed who are hated
by David. And this is why they say, The blind and feeble-footed may not come into
the house.
5:8 And David said on that day, Whosoever gets up to the watercourse, and strikes the Jebusites, and the lame and the blind that are hated of David's soul, he shall be chief and captain. Wherefore they said, The blind and the lame shall not come into the house.
5:9 다윗이 그 산성에 거하여 다윗 성이라 이름하고 밀로에서부터 안으로 성을
둘러 쌓으니라
5:9 So David took the strong tower for his living-place, naming it the town of David.
And David took in hand the building of the town all round, starting from the Millo.
5:9 So David dwelt in the fort, and called it the city of David. And David built round about from Millo and inward.
5:10 만군의 하나님 여호와께서 함께 계시니 다윗이 점점 강성하여 가니라
5:10 And David became greater and greater; for the Lord, the God of armies, was with
him.
5:10 And David went on, and grew great, and the LORD God of hosts was with him.
5:11 ○ 두로 왕 히람이 다윗에게 사자들과 백향목과 목수와 석수를 보내매 저희가
다윗을 위하여 집을 지으니
5:11 And Hiram, king of Tyre, sent men to David, with cedar-trees and woodworkers and
stoneworkers: and they made David a house.
5:11 And Hiram king of Tyre sent messengers to David, and cedar trees, and carpenters, and stone workers: and they built David an house.
5:12 다윗이 여호와께서 자기를 세우사 이스라엘 왕을 삼으신 것과 그 백성 이스라엘을
위하여 그 나라를 높이신 것을 아니라
5:12 And David saw that the Lord had made his position safe as king over Israel, and
that he had made his kingdom great because of his people Israel.
5:12 And David perceived that the LORD had established him king over Israel, and that he had exalted his kingdom for his people Israel's sake.
5:13 ○ 다윗이 헤브론에서 올라온 후에 예루살렘에서 처첩들을 더 취하였으므로
아들과 딸들이 또 다윗에게서 나니
5:13 And David took more women and wives in Jerusalem, after he had come from Hebron:
and he had more sons and daughters.
5:13 And David took him more concubines and wives out of Jerusalem, after he was come from Hebron: and there were yet sons and daughters born to David.
5:14 예루살렘에서 그에게서 난 자의 이름은 삼무아와 소밥과 나단과 솔로몬과
5:14 These are the names of those whose birth took place in Jerusalem: Shammua and Shobab
and Nathan and Solomon
5:14 And these be the names of those that were born unto him in Jerusalem; Shammuah, and Shobab, and Nathan, and Solomon,
5:15 입할과 엘리수아와 네벡과 야비아와
5:15 And Ibhar and Elishua and Nepheg and Japhia
5:15 Ibhar also, and Elishua, and Nepheg, and Japhia,
5:16 엘리사마와 엘랴다와 엘리벨렛이었더라
5:16 And Elishama and Eliada and Eliphelet.
5:16 And Elishama, and Eliada, and Eliphalet.
5:17 ○ 이스라엘이 다윗에게 기름을 부어 이스라엘 왕을 삼았다 함을 블레셋
사람이 듣고 다윗을 찾으러 다 올라오매 다윗이 듣고 요해처로 나가니라
5:17 And when the Philistines had news that David had been made king over Israel, they
all went up in search of David; and David, hearing of it, went down to the strong
place.
5:17 But when the Philistines heard that they had anointed David king over Israel, all the Philistines came up to seek David; and David heard of it, and went down to the hold.
5:18 블레셋 사람이 이미 이르러 르바임 골짜기에 편만한지라
5:18 And when the Philistines came, they went in every direction in the valley of Rephaim.
5:18 The Philistines also came and spread themselves in the valley of Rephaim.
5:19 다윗이 여호와께 물어 가로되 내가 블레셋 사람에게로 올라가리이까 여호와께서
저희를 내 손에 붙이시겠나이까 여호와께서 다윗에게 말씀하시되 올라가라 내가 단정코
블레셋 사람을 네 손에 붙이리라 하신지라
5:19 And David, desiring directions from the Lord, said, Am I to go up against the Philistines?
will you give them up into my hands? And the Lord said, Go up, for I will certainly
give up the Philistines into your hands.
5:19 And David enquired of the LORD, saying, Shall I go up to the Philistines? will you deliver them into mine hand? And the LORD said unto David, Go up: for I will doubtless deliver the Philistines into yours hand.
5:20 다윗이 바알브라심에 이르러 거기서 저희를 치고 가로되 여호와께서 물을
흩음 같이 내 앞에서 내 대적을 흩으셨다 하므로 그 곳 이름을 바알브라심이라 칭하니라
5:20 And David went to Baal-perazim, and overcame them there; and he said, The Lord has
let the forces fighting against me be broken before me as a wall is broken by rushing
waters. So that place was named Baal-perazim.
5:20 And David came to Baalperazim, and David stroke them there, and said, The LORD has broken forth upon mine enemies before me, as the breach of waters. Therefore he called the name of that place Baalperazim.
5:21 거기서 블레셋 사람들이 그 우상을 버렸으므로 다윗과 그 종자들이 치우니라
5:21 And the Philistines, when they went in flight, did not take their images with them,
and David and his men took them away.
5:21 And there they left their images, and David and his men burned them.
5:22 ○ 블레셋 사람이 다시 올라와서 르바임 골짜기에 편만한지라
5:22 And the Philistines came up again, and went in every direction in the valley of
Rephaim.
5:22 And the Philistines came up yet again, and spread themselves in the valley of Rephaim.
5:23 다윗이 여호와께 묻자온대 가라사대 올라가지 말고 저희 뒤로 돌아서 뽕나무
수풀 맞은편에서 저희를 엄습하되
5:23 And when David went for directions to the Lord, he said, You are not to go up against
them in front; but make a circle round them from the back and come on them opposite
the spice-trees.
5:23 And when David enquired of the LORD, he said, You shall not go up; but fetch a compass behind them, and come upon them opposite to the mulberry trees.
5:24 뽕나무 꼭대기에서 걸음 걷는 소리가 들리거든 곧 동작하라 그 때에 여호와가
네 앞서 나아가서 블레셋 군대를 치리라 하신지라
5:24 Then at the sound of footsteps in the tops of the trees, go forward quickly, for
the Lord has gone out before you to overcome the army of the Philistines.
5:24 And let it be, when you hear the sound of a going in the tops of the mulberry trees, that then you shall bestir yourself: for then shall the LORD go out before you, to strike the host of the Philistines.
5:25 이에 다윗이 여호와의 명대로 행하여 블레셋 사람을 쳐서 게바에서 게셀까지
이르니라
5:25 And David did as the Lord had said; and he overcame the Philistines, attacking them
from Gibeon to near Gezer.
5:25 And David did so, as the LORD had commanded him; and stroke the Philistines from Geba until you come to Gazer.
6:1 다윗이 이스라엘에서 뺀 무리 삼만을 다시 모으고
6:1 And David got together all the fighting-men of Israel to the number of thirty thousand;
6:1 Again, David gathered together all the chosen men of Israel, thirty thousand.
6:2 일어나서 그 함께 있는 모든 사람으로 더불어 바알레유다로 가서 거기서 하나님의
궤를 메어 오려 하니 그 궤는 그룹들 사이에 좌정하신 만군의 여호와의 이름으로
이름하는 것이라
6:2 And David, and all the people who were with him, went to Baal of Judah to get the
ark of God, over which the holy name is named, the name of the Lord of armies, whose
place is between the winged ones.
6:2 And David arose, and went with all the people that were with him from Baale of Judah, to bring up from thence the ark of God, whose name is called by the name of the LORD of hosts that dwells between the cherubims.
6:3 저희가 하나님의 궤를 새 수레에 싣고 산에 있는 아비나답의 집에서 나오는데
아비나답의 아들 웃사와 아효가 그 새 수레를 모니라
6:3 And they put the ark of God on a new cart and took it out of the house of Abinadab
which was on the hill: and Uzzah and Ahio, the sons of Abinadab, were the drivers
of the cart.
6:3 And they set the ark of God upon a new cart, and brought it out of the house of Abinadab that was in Gibeah: and Uzzah and Ahio, the sons of Abinadab, drove the new cart.
6:4 저희가 산에 있는 아비나답의 집에서 하나님의 궤를 싣고 나올 때에 아효는
궤 앞에서 행하고
6:4 And Uzzah went by the side of the ark, while Ahio went before it.
6:4 And they brought it out of the house of Abinadab which was at Gibeah, accompanying the ark of God: and Ahio went before the ark.
6:5 다윗과 이스라엘 온 족속이 잣나무로 만든 여러 가지 악기와 수금과 비파와
소고와 양금과 제금으로 여호와 앞에서 주악하더라
6:5 And David and all the men of Israel made melody before the Lord with all their power,
with songs and with corded instruments and instruments of brass.
6:5 And David and all the house of Israel played before the LORD on all manner of instruments made of fir wood, even on harps, and on psalteries, and on timbrels, and on cornets, and on cymbals.
6:6 ○ 저희가 나곤의 타작 마당에 이르러서는 소들이 뛰므로 웃사가 손을 들어
하나님의 궤를 붙들었더니
6:6 And when they came to Nacon's grain-floor, Uzzah put his hand on the ark of God
to keep it safe in its place, for the oxen were out of control.
6:6 And when they came to Nachon's threshing floor, Uzzah put forth his hand to the ark of God, and took hold of it; for the oxen shook it.
6:7 여호와 하나님이 웃사의 잘못함을 인하여 진노하사 저를 그 곳에서 치시니
저가 거기 하나님의 궤 곁에서 죽으니라
6:7 And the wrath of the Lord, burning against Uzzah, sent destruction on him because
he had put his hand on the ark, and death came to him there by the ark of God.
6:7 And the anger of the LORD was kindled against Uzzah; and God stroke him there for his error; and there he died by the ark of God.
6:8 여호와께서 웃사를 충돌하시므로 다윗이 분하여 그 곳을 베레스웃사라 칭하니
그 이름이 오늘까지 이르니라
6:8 And David was angry because of the Lord's outburst of wrath against Uzzah: and he
gave that place the name Perez-uzzah, which is its name to this day.
6:8 And David was displeased, because the LORD had made a breach upon Uzzah: and he called the name of the place Perezuzzah to this day.
6:9 다윗이 그 날에 여호와를 두려워하여 가로되 여호와의 궤가 어찌 내게로 오리요
하고
6:9 And such was David's fear of the Lord that day, that he said, How may I let the
ark of God come to me?
6:9 And David was afraid of the LORD that day, and said, How shall the ark of the LORD come to me?
6:10 여호와의 궤를 옮겨 다윗 성 자기에게로 메어 가기를 즐겨하지 아니하고
치우쳐 가드 사람 오벧에돔의 집으로 메어 간지라
6:10 So David did not let the ark of the Lord come back to him to the town of David:
but had it turned away and put into the house of Obed-edom the Gittite.
6:10 So David would not remove the ark of the LORD unto him into the city of David: but David carried it aside into the house of Obededom the Gittite.
6:11 여호와의 궤가 가드 사람 오벧에돔의 집에 석 달을 있었는데 여호와께서
오벧에돔과 그 온 집에 복을 주시니라
6:11 And the ark of the Lord was in the house of Obed-edom the Gittite for three months:
and the Lord sent a blessing on Obed-edom and all his family.
6:11 And the ark of the LORD continued in the house of Obededom the Gittite three months: and the LORD blessed Obededom, and all his household.
6:12 ○ 혹이 다윗 왕에게 고하여 가로되 여호와께서 하나님의 궤를 인하여 오벧에돔의
집과 그 모든 소유에 복을 주셨다 한지라 다윗이 가서 하나님의 궤를 기쁨으로 메고
오벧에돔의 집에서 다윗 성으로 올라갈새
6:12 And they said to King David, The blessing of the Lord is on the family of Obed-edom
and on all he has, because of the ark of God. And David went and took the ark of
God from the house of Obed-edom into the town of David with joy.
6:12 And it was told king David, saying, The LORD has blessed the house of Obededom, and all that pertains unto him, because of the ark of God. So David went and brought up the ark of God from the house of Obededom into the city of David with gladness.
6:13 여호와의 궤를 멘 사람들이 여섯 걸음을 행하매 다윗이 소와 살진 것으로
제사를 드리고
6:13 And when those who were lifting the ark of the Lord had gone six steps, he made
an offering of an ox and a fat young beast.
6:13 And it was so, that when they that bare the ark of the LORD had gone six paces, he sacrificed oxen and fatlings.
6:14 여호와 앞에서 힘을 다하여 춤을 추는데 때에 베 에봇을 입었더라
6:14 And David, clothed in a linen ephod, was dancing before the Lord with all his strength.
6:14 And David danced before the LORD with all his might; and David was girded with a linen ephod.
6:15 다윗과 온 이스라엘 족속이 즐거이 부르며 나팔을 불고 여호와의 궤를 메어
오니라
6:15 So David and all the men of Israel took up the ark of the Lord with cries of joy
and sounding of horns.
6:15 So David and all the house of Israel brought up the ark of the LORD with shouting, and with the sound of the trumpet.
6:16 ○ 여호와의 궤가 다윗 성으로 들어올 때에 사울의 딸 미갈이 창으로 내다보다가
다윗 왕이 여호와 앞에서 뛰놀며 춤추는 것을 보고 심중에 저를 업신여기니라
6:16 And when the ark of the Lord came into the town of David, Michal, Saul's daughter,
looking out of the window, saw King David dancing and jumping before the Lord; and
to her mind he seemed foolish.
6:16 And as the ark of the LORD came into the city of David, Michal Saul's daughter looked through a window, and saw king David leaping and dancing before the LORD; and she despised him in her heart.
6:17 여호와의 궤를 메고 들어가서 다윗이 위하여 친 장막 가운데 그 예비한 자리에
두매 다윗이 번제와 화목제를 여호와 앞에 드리니라
6:17 And they took in the ark of the Lord, and put it in its place inside the tent which
David had put up for it: and David made burned offerings and peace-offerings to
the Lord.
6:17 And they brought in the ark of the LORD, and set it in his place, in the midst of the tabernacle that David had pitched for it: and David offered burnt offerings and peace offerings before the LORD.
6:18 다윗이 번제와 화목제 드리기를 마치고 만군의 여호와의 이름으로 백성에게
축복하고
6:18 And after David had made the burned offerings and the peace-offerings, he gave the
people a blessing in the name of the Lord of armies.
6:18 And as soon as David had made an end of offering burnt offerings and peace offerings, he blessed the people in the name of the LORD of hosts.
6:19 모든 백성 곧 온 이스라엘 무리의 무론 남녀하고 떡 한 개와 고기 한 조각과
건포도 떡 한 덩이씩 나눠 주매 모든 백성이 각기 집으로 돌아가니라
6:19 And he gave to every man and woman among all the people, among all the masses of
Israel, a cake of bread and a measure of wine and a cake of dry grapes. Then all
the people went away, every man to his house.
6:19 And he dealt among all the people, even among the whole multitude of Israel, as well to the women as men, to every one a cake of bread, and a good piece of flesh, and a flagon of wine. So all the people departed every one to his house.
6:20 ○ 다윗이 자기의 가족에게 축복하러 돌아오매 사울의 딸 미갈이 나와서
다윗을 맞으며 가로되 이스라엘 왕이 오늘날 어떻게 영화로우신지 방탕한 자가 염치
없이 자기의 몸을 드러내는 것처럼 오늘날 그 신복의 계집종의 눈 앞에서 몸을 드러내셨도다
6:20 Then David came back to give a blessing to his family. And Michal, Saul's daughter,
came out to him and said, How full of glory was the king of Israel today, who let
himself be seen uncovered by his servant-girls like a foolish person uncovering
himself without shame!
6:20 Then David returned to bless his household. And Michal the daughter of Saul came out to meet David, and said, How glorious was the king of Israel to day, who uncovered himself to day in the eyes of the handmaids of his servants, as one of the vain fellows shamelessly uncovers himself!
6:21 다윗이 미갈에게 이르되 이는 여호와 앞에서 한 것이니라 저가 네 아비와
그 온 집을 버리시고 나를 택하사 나로 여호와의 백성 이스라엘의 주권자를 삼으셨으니
내가 여호와 앞에서 뛰놀리라
6:21 And David said to Michal, I was dancing before the Lord, who put me over your father
and all his sons, to make me a ruler over the people of the Lord, over his people
Israel: and I will go on playing before the Lord;
6:21 And David said unto Michal, It was before the LORD, which chose me before your father, and before all his house, to appoint me ruler over the people of the LORD, over Israel: therefore will I play before the LORD.
6:22 내가 이보다 더 낮아져서 스스로 천하게 보일지라도 네가 말한 바 계집종에게는
내가 높임을 받으리라 한지라
6:22 And I will do even worse than this, and make myself even lower in your eyes: but
the servant-girls of whom you were talking will give me honour.
6:22 And I will yet be more vile than thus, and will be base in mine own sight: and of the maidservants which you have spoken of, of them shall I be had in honour.
6:23 그러므로 사울의 딸 미갈이 죽는 날까지 자식이 없으니라
6:23 And Michal, Saul's daughter, had no child till the day of her death.
6:23 Therefore Michal the daughter of Saul had no child unto the day of her death.
7:1 여호와께서 사방의 모든 대적을 파하사 왕으로 궁에 평안히 거하게 하신 때에
7:1 Now when the king was living in his house, and the Lord had given him rest from
war on every side;
7:1 And it came to pass, when the king sat in his house, and the LORD had given him rest round about from all his enemies;
7:2 왕이 선지자 나단에게 이르되 볼지어다 나는 백향목 궁에 거하거늘 하나님의
궤는 휘장 가운데 있도다
7:2 The king said to Nathan the prophet, See now, I am living in a house of cedar, but
the ark of God is housed inside the curtains of a tent.
7:2 That the king said unto Nathan the prophet, See now, I dwell in an house of cedar, but the ark of God dwells within curtains.
7:3 나단이 왕께 고하되 여호와께서 왕과 함께 계시니 무릇 마음에 있는 바를
행하소서
7:3 And Nathan said to the king, Go and do whatever is in your heart; for the Lord is
with you.
7:3 And Nathan said to the king, Go, do all that is in yours heart; for the LORD is with you.
7:4 그 밤에 여호와의 말씀이 나단에게 임하여 가라사대
7:4 Now that night the word of the Lord came to Nathan, saying,
7:4 And it came to pass that night, that the word of the LORD came unto Nathan, saying,
7:5 가서 내 종 다윗에게 말하기를 여호와의 말씀이 네가 나를 위하여 나의 거할
집을 건축하겠느냐
7:5 Go and say to my servant David, The Lord says, Are you to be the builder of a house,
a living-place for me?
7:5 Go and tell my servant David, Thus says the LORD, Shall you build me an house for me to dwell in?
7:6 내가 이스라엘 자손을 애굽에서 인도하여 내던 날부터 오늘날까지 집에 거하지
아니하고 장막과 회막에 거하며 행하였나니
7:6 For from the day when I took the children of Israel up out of Egypt till this day,
I have had no house, but have gone from place to place in a tent.
7:6 Whereas I have not dwelt in any house since the time that I brought up the children of Israel out of Egypt, even to this day, but have walked in a tent and in a tabernacle.
7:7 무릇 이스라엘 자손으로 더불어 행하는 곳에서 내가 내 백성 이스라엘을 먹이라고
명한 이스라엘 어느 지파에게 내가 말하기를 너희가 어찌하여 나를 위하여 백향목
집을 건축하지 아니하였느냐고 말하였느냐
7:7 In all the places where I went with all the children of Israel, did I ever say to
any of the judges of Israel, to whom I gave the care of my people Israel, Why have
you not made me a house of cedar?
7:7 In all the places wherein I have walked with all the children of Israel spoke I a word with any of the tribes of Israel, whom I commanded to feed my people Israel, saying, Why build all of you not me an house of cedar?
7:8 그러므로 이제 내 종 다윗에게 이처럼 말하라 만군의 여호와께서 이처럼 말씀하시기를
내가 너를 목장 곧 양을 따르는 데서 취하여 내 백성 이스라엘의 주권자를 삼고
7:8 Then say these words to my servant David, The Lord of armies says, I took you from
the fields, from keeping the sheep, so that you might be a ruler over my people,
over my people Israel:
7:8 Now therefore so shall you say unto my servant David, Thus says the LORD of hosts, I took you from the sheepcote, from following the sheep, to be ruler over my people, over Israel:
7:9 네가 어디를 가든지 내가 너와 함께 있어 네 모든 대적을 네 앞에서 멸하였은즉
세상에서 존귀한 자의 이름 같이 네 이름을 존귀케 만들어 주리라
7:9 And I have been with you wherever you went, cutting off before you all those who
were against you; and I will make your name great, like the name of the greatest
ones of the earth.
7:9 And I was with you anywhere you went, and have cut off all yours enemies out of your sight, and have made you a great name, like unto the name of the great men that are in the earth.
7:10 내가 또 내 백성 이스라엘을 위하여 한 곳을 정하여 저희를 심고 저희로
자기 곳에 거하여 다시 옮기지 않게 하며 악한 유로 전과 같이 저희를 해하지 못하게
하여
7:10 And I will make a resting-place for my people Israel, planting them there, so that
they may be living in the place which is theirs, and never again be moved; and never
again will they be troubled by evil men as they were at the first,
7:10 Moreover I will appoint a place for my people Israel, and will plant them, that they may dwell in a place of their own, and move no more; neither shall the children of wickedness afflict them any more, as in time past,
7:11 전에 내가 사사를 명하여 내 백성 이스라엘을 다스리던 때와 같지 않게 하고
너를 모든 대적에게서 벗어나 평안케 하리라 여호와가 또 네게 이르노니 여호와가
너를 위하여 집을 이루고
7:11 From the time when I put judges over my people Israel; and I will give you peace
from all who are against you. And the Lord says to you that he will make you the
head of a line of kings.
7:11 And as since the time that I commanded judges to be over my people Israel, and have caused you to rest from all yours enemies. Also the LORD tells you that he will make you an house.
7:12 네 수한이 차서 네 조상들과 함께 잘 때에 내가 네 몸에서 날 자식을 네
뒤에 세워 그 나라를 견고케 하리라
7:12 And when the time comes for you to go to rest with your fathers, I will put in your
place your seed after you, the offspring of your body, and I will make his kingdom
strong.
7:12 And when your days be fulfilled, and you shall sleep with your fathers, I will set up your seed after you, which shall proceed out of your bowels, and I will establish his kingdom.
7:13 저는 내 이름을 위하여 집을 건축할 것이요 나는 그 나라 위를 영원히 견고케
하리라
7:13 He will be the builder of a house for my name, and I will make the seat of his authority
certain for ever.
7:13 He shall build an house for my name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom for ever.
7:14 나는 그 아비가 되고 그는 내 아들이 되리니 저가 만일 죄를 범하면 내가
사람 막대기와 인생 채찍으로 징계하려니와
7:14 I will be to him a father and he will be to me a son: if he does wrong, I will give
him punishment with the rod of men and with the blows of the children of men;
7:14 I will be his father, and he shall be my son. If he commit iniquity, I will chasten him with the rod of men, and with the stripes of the children of men:
7:15 내가 네 앞에서 폐한 사울에게서 내 은총을 빼앗은 것 같이 그에게서는 빼앗지
아니하리라
7:15 But my mercy will not be taken away from him, as I took it from him who was before
you.
7:15 But my mercy shall not depart away from him, as I took it from Saul, whom I put away before you.
7:16 네 집과 네 나라가 네 앞에서 영원히 보전되고 네 위가 영원히 견고하리라
하셨다 하라
7:16 And your family and your kingdom will keep their place before me for ever: the seat
of your authority will never be overturned.
7:16 And yours house and your kingdom shall be established for ever before you: your throne shall be established for ever.
7:17 나단이 이 모든 말씀과 이 모든 묵시대로 다윗에게 고하니라
7:17 So Nathan gave David an account of all these words and this vision.
7:17 According to all these words, and according to all this vision, so did Nathan speak unto David.
7:18 ○ 다윗 왕이 여호와 앞에 들어가 앉아서 가로되 주 여호와여 나는 누구오며
내 집은 무엇이관대 나로 이에 이르게 하셨나이까
7:18 Then David the king went in and took his seat before the Lord, and said, Who am
I, O Lord God, and what is my family, that you have been my guide till now?
7:18 Then went king David in, and sat before the LORD, and he said, Who am I, O Lord GOD? and what is my house, that you have brought me until now?
7:19 주 여호와여 주께서 이것을 오히려 적게 여기시고 또 종의 집에 영구히 이를
일을 말씀하실 뿐 아니라 주 여호와여 인간의 규례대로 하셨나이다
7:19 And this was only a small thing to you, O Lord God; but your words have even been
about the far-off future of your servant's family, O Lord God!
7:19 And this was yet a small thing in your sight, O Lord GOD; but you have spoken also of your servant's house for a great while to come. And is this the manner of man, O Lord GOD?
7:20 주 여호와는 종을 아시오니 다윗이 다시 주께 무슨 말씀을 하오리이까
7:20 What more may David say to you? for you have knowledge of your servant, O Lord God.
7:20 And what can David say more unto you? for you, Lord GOD, know your servant.
7:21 주의 말씀을 인하여 주의 뜻대로 이 모든 큰 일을 행하사 주의 종에게 알게
하셨나이다
7:21 Because of your word and from your heart, you have done all this great work, and
let your servant see it.
7:21 For your word's sake, and according to yours own heart, have you done all these great things, to make your servant know them.
7:22 여호와 하나님이여 이러므로 주는 광대하시니 이는 우리 귀로 들은 대로는
주와 같은 이가 없고 주 외에는 참 신이 없음이니이다
7:22 Truly you are great, O Lord God: there is no one like you and no other God but you,
as is clear from everything which has come to our ears.
7:22 Wherefore you are great, O LORD God: for there is none like you, neither is there any God beside you, according to all that we have heard with our ears.
7:23 땅의 어느 한 나라가 주의 백성 이스라엘과 같으리이까 하나님이 가서 구속하사
자기 백성을 삼아 주의 명성을 내시며 저희를 위하여 큰 일을, 주의 땅을 위하여
두려운 일을 애굽과 열국과 그 신들에게서 구속하신 백성 앞에서 행하셨사오며
7:23 And what other nation in the earth, like your people Israel, did a god go out to
take for himself, to be his people, and to make a name for himself, and to do great
and strange things for them, driving out a nation and its gods from before his people?
7:23 And what one nation in the earth is like your people, even like Israel, whom God went to redeem for a people to himself, and to make him a name, and to do for you great things and terrible, for your land, before your people, which you redeemed to you from Egypt, from the nations and their gods?
7:24 주께서 주의 백성 이스라엘을 세우사 영원히 주의 백성을 삼으셨사오니 여호와여
주께서 저희 하나님이 되셨나이다
7:24 But you took and made strong for yourself your people Israel, to be your people
for ever; and you, Lord, became their God.
7:24 For you have confirmed to yourself your people Israel to be a people unto you for ever: and you, LORD, are become their God.
7:25 여호와 하나님이여 이제 주의 종과 종의 집에 대하여 말씀하신 것을 영원히
확실케 하옵시며 말씀하신 대로 행하사
7:25 And now, O Lord God, may the word which you have said about your servant and about
his family, be made certain for ever, and may you do as you have said!
7:25 And now, O LORD God, the word that you have spoken concerning your servant, and concerning his house, establish it for ever, and do as you have said.
7:26 사람으로 영원히 주의 이름을 높여 이르기를 만군의 여호와는 이스라엘의
하나님이라 하게 하옵시며 주의 종 다윗의 집으로 주 앞에 견고하게 하옵소서
7:26 And let your name be made great for ever, and let men say, The Lord of armies is
God over Israel: and let the family of David your servant be made strong before
you!
7:26 And let your name be magnified for ever, saying, The LORD of hosts is the God over Israel: and let the house of your servant David be established before you.
7:27 만군의 여호와 이스라엘의 하나님이여 주의 종에게 알게 하여 이르시기를
내가 너를 위하여 집을 세우리라 하신 고로 주의 종이 이 기도로 구할 마음이 생겼나이다
7:27 For you, O Lord of armies, the God of Israel, have clearly said to your servant,
I will make you the head of a family of kings: and so it has come into your servant's
heart to make this prayer to you.
7:27 For you, O LORD of hosts, God of Israel, have revealed to your servant, saying, I will build you an house: therefore has your servant found in his heart to pray this prayer unto you.
7:28 주 여호와여 오직 주는 하나님이시며 말씀이 참되시니이다 주께서 이 좋은
것으로 종에게 허락하셨사오니
7:28 And now, O Lord God, you are God and your words are true and you have said you will
give your servant this good thing;
7:28 And now, O Lord GOD, you are that God, and your words be true, and you have promised this goodness unto your servant:
7:29 이제 청컨대 종의 집에 복을 주사 주 앞에 영원히 있게 하옵소서 주 여호와께서
말씀하셨사오니 주의 은혜로 종의 집이 영원히 복을 받게 하옵소서 하니라
7:29 So may it be your pleasure to give your blessing to the family of your servant,
so that it may go on for ever before you: (for you, O Lord God, have said it,) and
may your blessing be on your servant's family line for ever!
7:29 Therefore now let it please you to bless the house of your servant, that it may continue for ever before you: for you, O Lord GOD, have spoken it: and with your blessing let the house of your servant be blessed for ever.
8:1 이 후에 다윗이 블레셋 사람을 쳐서 항복 받고 블레셋 사람의 손에서 메덱암마를
빼앗으니라
8:1 And it came about after this that David made an attack on the Philistines and overcame
them; and David took the authority of the mother-town from the hands of the Philistines.
8:1 And after this it came to pass that David stroke the Philistines, and subdued them: and David took Methegammah out of the hand of the Philistines.
8:2 ○ 다윗이 또 모압을 쳐서 저희로 땅에 엎드리게 하고 줄로 재어 그 두 줄
길이의 사람은 죽이고 한 줄 길이의 사람은 살리니 모압 사람이 다윗의 종이 되어
조공을 바치니라
8:2 And he overcame the Moabites, and he had them measured with a line when they were
stretched out on the earth; marking out two lines for death and one full line for
life. So the Moabites became servants to David and gave him offerings.
8:2 And he stroke Moab, and measured them with a line, casting them down to the ground; even with two lines measured he to put to death, and with one full line to keep alive. And so the Moabites became David's servants, and brought gifts.
8:3 ○ 르흡의 아들 소바 왕 하닷에셀이 자기 권세를 회복하려고 유브라데 강으로
갈 때에 다윗이 저를 쳐서
8:3 And David overcame Hadadezer, the son of Rehob, king of Zobah, when he went to make
his power seen by the River.
8:3 David stroke also Hadadezer, the son of Rehob, king of Zobah, as he went to recover his border at the river Euphrates.
8:4 그 마병 일천 칠백과 보병 이만을 사로잡고 병거 일백 승의 말만 남기고 그
외의 병거의 말은 다 발의 힘줄을 끊었더니
8:4 And David took from him one thousand, seven hundred horsemen and twenty thousand
footmen: and David had the leg-muscles of the horses cut, only keeping enough of
them for a hundred war-carriages.
8:4 And David took from him a thousand chariots, and seven hundred horsemen, and twenty thousand footmen: and David cut the hamstrings of all the chariot horses, but reserved of them for an hundred chariots.
8:5 다메섹 아람 사람들이 소바 왕 하닷에셀을 도우러 온지라 다윗이 아람 사람
이만 이천을 죽이고
8:5 And when the Aramaeans of Damascus came to the help of Hadadezer, king of Zobah,
David put to the sword twenty-two thousand of the Aramaeans.
8:5 And when the Syrians of Damascus came to help Hadadezer king of Zobah, David slew of the Syrians two and twenty thousand men.
8:6 다메섹 아람에 수비대를 두매 아람 사람이 다윗의 종이 되어 조공을 바치니라
다윗이 어디를 가든지 여호와께서 이기게 하시니라
8:6 And David put armed forces in Aram of Damascus: and the Aramaeans became servants
to David and gave him offerings. And the Lord made David overcome wherever he went.
8:6 Then David put garrisons in Syria of Damascus: and the Syrians became servants to David, and brought gifts. And the LORD preserved David anywhere he went.
8:7 다윗이 하닷에셀의 신복들의 가진 금 방패를 빼앗아 예루살렘으로 가져오고
8:7 And David took their gold body-covers from the servants of Hadadezer and took them
to Jerusalem.
8:7 And David took the shields of gold that were on the servants of Hadadezer, and brought them to Jerusalem.
8:8 또 하닷에셀의 고을 베다와 베로대에서 매우 많은 놋을 빼앗으니라
8:8 And from Tebah and Berothai, towns of Hadadezer, King David took a great store of
brass.
8:8 And from Betah, and from Berothai, cities of Hadadezer, king David took exceeding much brass.
8:9 ○ 하맛 왕 도이가 다윗이 하닷에셀의 온 군대를 쳐서 파하였다 함을 듣고
8:9 And when Tou, king of Hamath, had news that David had overcome all the army of Hadadezer,
8:9 When Toi king of Hamath heard that David had smitten all the host of Hadadezer,
8:10 그 아들 요람을 보내어 다윗 왕에게 문안하고 축복하게 하니 이는 하닷에셀이
도이로 더불어 전쟁이 있던 터에 다윗이 하닷에셀을 쳐서 파함이라 요람이 은 그릇과
금 그릇과 놋 그릇을 가지고 온지라
8:10 He sent his son Hadoram to David, with words of peace and blessing, because he had
overcome Hadadezer in the fight, for Hadadezer had wars with Tou; and Hadoram took
with him vessels of silver and gold and brass:
8:10 Then Toi sent Joram his son unto king David, to salute him, and to bless him, because he had fought against Hadadezer, and smitten him: for Hadadezer had wars with Toi. And Joram brought with him vessels of silver, and vessels of gold, and vessels of brass:
8:11 다윗 왕이 그것도 여호와께 드리되 저가 정복한 모든 나라에서 얻은 은금
8:11 These King David made holy to the Lord, together with the silver and gold which
he had taken from the nations he had overcome--
8:11 Which also king David did dedicate unto the LORD, with the silver and gold that he had dedicated of all nations which he subdued;
8:12 곧 아람과 모압과 암몬 자손과 블레셋 사람과 아말렉에게서 얻은 것들과
소바 왕 르홉의 아들 하닷에셀에게서 노략한 것과 같이 드리니라
8:12 The nations of Edom and Moab, and the children of Ammon and the Philistines and
the Amalekites and the goods he had taken from Hadadezer, the son of Rehob, king
of Zobah.
8:12 Of Syria, and of Moab, and of the children of Ammon, and of the Philistines, and of Amalek, and of the spoil of Hadadezer, son of Rehob, king of Zobah.
8:13 ○ 다윗이 염곡에서 에돔 사람 일만 팔천을 쳐죽이고 돌아와서 명예를 얻으니라
8:13 And David got great honour for himself, when he came back, by the destruction of
Edom in the valley of Salt, to the number of eighteen thousand men.
8:13 And David got him a name when he returned from smiting of the Syrians in the valley of salt, being eighteen thousand men.
8:14 다윗이 에돔에 수비대를 두되 온 에돔에 수비대를 두니 에돔 사람이 다 다윗의
종이 되니라 다윗이 어디를 가든지 여호와께서 이기게 하셨더라
8:14 And he put armed forces in Edom; all through Edom he had armed forces stationed,
and all the Edomites became servants to David. And the Lord made David overcome
wherever he went.
8:14 And he put garrisons in Edom; throughout all Edom put he garrisons, and all they of Edom became David's servants. And the LORD preserved David anywhere he went.
8:15 ○ 다윗이 온 이스라엘을 다스려 모든 백성에게 공과 의를 행할새
8:15 And David was king over all Israel, judging and giving right decisions for all his
people.
8:15 And David reigned over all Israel; and David executed judgment and justice unto all his people.
8:16 스루야의 아들 요압은 군대 장관이 되고 아힐룻의 아들 여호사밧은 사관이
되고
8:16 And Joab, the son of Zeruiah, was chief of the army; and Jehoshaphat, the son of
Ahilud, was keeper of the records;
8:16 And Joab the son of Zeruiah was over the host; and Jehoshaphat the son of Ahilud was recorder;
8:17 아히둡의 아들 사독과 아비아달의 아들 아히멜렉은 제사장이 되고 스라야는
서기관이 되고
8:17 And Zadok and Abiathar, the son of Ahimelech, the son of Ahitub, were priests; and
Seraiah was the scribe;
8:17 And Zadok the son of Ahitub, and Ahimelech the son of Abiathar, were the priests; and Seraiah was the scribe;
8:18 여호야다의 아들 브나야는 그렛 사람과 블렛 사람을 관할하고 다윗의 아들들은
대신이 되니라
8:18 And Benaiah, the son of Jehoiada, was over the Cherethites and the Pelethites; and
David's sons were priests.
8:18 And Benaiah the son of Jehoiada was over both the Cherethites and the Pelethites; and David's sons were chief rulers.
