1:1 »ç¿ïÀÇ Á×Àº ÈĶó ´ÙÀ­ÀÌ ¾Æ¸»·º »ç¶÷À» µµ·úÇÏ°í µ¹¾Æ¿Í¼­ ½Ã±Û¶ô¿¡¼­ ÀÌƲÀ» À¯ÇÏ´õ´Ï
1:1 Now after the death of Saul, when David, having come back from the destruction of the Amalekites, had been in Ziklag for two days;
1:1 Now it came to pass after the death of Saul, when David was returned from the slaughter of the Amalekites, and David had abode two days in Ziklag;

1:2 On the third day a man came from Saul's tents, with his clothing out of order and earth on his head: and when he came to David, he went down on the earth and gave him honour.
1:2 It came even to pass on the third day, that, behold, a man came out of the camp from Saul with his clothes rent, and earth upon his head: and so it was, when he came to David, that he fell to the earth, and did reverence.

1:3 And David said to him, Where have you come from? And he said, I have come in flight from the tents of Israel.
1:3 And David said unto him, From whence come you? And he said unto him, Out of the camp of Israel am I escaped.

1:4 ´ÙÀ­ÀÌ °¡·ÎµÇ ÀÏÀÌ ¾î¶»°Ô µÇ¾ú´À´¢ ³Ê´Â ³»°Ô °íÇ϶ó Àú°¡ ´ë´äÇ쵂 ±º»ç°¡ ÀüÀï Áß¿¡¼­ µµ¸ÁÇϱ⵵ ÇÏ¿´°í ¹«¸® Áß¿¡ ¾þµå·¯Á® Á×Àº ÀÚµµ ¸¹¾Ò°í »ç¿ï°ú ±× ¾Æµé ¿ä³ª´Üµµ Á×¾ú³ªÀÌ´Ù
1:4 And David said to him, How did things go? Give me the news. And in answer he said, The people have gone in flight from the fight, and a great number of them are dead; and Saul and his son Jonathan are dead.
1:4 And David said unto him, How went the matter? I pray you, tell me. And he answered, That the people are fled from the battle, and many of the people also are fallen and dead; and Saul and Jonathan his son are dead also.

1:5 ´ÙÀ­ÀÌ Àڱ⿡°Ô °íÇÏ´Â ¼Ò³â¿¡°Ô ¹¯µÇ »ç¿ï°ú ±× ¾Æµé ¿ä³ª´ÜÀÇ Á×Àº ÁÙÀ» ³×°¡ ¾î¶»°Ô ¾Æ´À³Ä
1:5 And David said to the young man who gave him the news, Why are you certain that Saul and his son Jonathan are dead?
1:5 And David said unto the young man that told him, How know you that Saul and Jonathan his son be dead?

1:6 ±×¿¡°Ô °íÇÏ´Â ¼Ò³âÀÌ °¡·ÎµÇ ³»°¡ ¿ì¿¬È÷ ±æº¸¾Æ »ê¿¡ ¿Ã¶ó º¸´Ï »ç¿ïÀÌ ÀÚ±â âÀ» ÀÇÁöÇÏ¿´°í º´°Å¿Í ±âº´Àº Àú¸¦ Ã˱ÞÈ÷ µû¸£´Âµ¥
1:6 And the young man said, I came by chance to Mount Gilboa, and I saw Saul supporting himself on his spear; and the war-carriages and horsemen overtook him.
1:6 And the young man that told him said, As I happened by chance upon mount Gilboa, behold, Saul leaned upon his spear; and, lo, the chariots and horsemen followed hard after him.

1:7 And looking back, he saw me and gave a cry to me. And answering him I said, Here am I.
1:7 And when he looked behind him, he saw me, and called unto me. And I answered, Here am I.

1:8 ³»°Ô À̸£µÇ ³Ê´Â ´©±¸³Ä ÇϽñâ·Î ³»°¡ ´ë´äÇ쵂 ³ª´Â ¾Æ¸»·º »ç¶÷ÀÌ´ÏÀÌ´Ù ÇÑÁï
1:8 And he said to me, Who are you? And I said, I am an Amalekite.
1:8 And he said unto me, Who are you? And I answered him, I am an Amalekite.

1:9 ¶Ç ³»°Ô À̸£µÇ ³» ¸ñ¼ûÀÌ ¾ÆÁ÷ ³»°Ô ¿ÏÀüÈ÷ ÀÖÀ¸¹Ç·Î ³»°¡ °íÅë¿¡ µé¾ú³ª´Ï ³Ê´Â ³» °ç¿¡ ¼­¼­ ³ª¸¦ Á×À̶ó ÇϽñâ·Î
1:9 Then he said to me, Come here to my side, and put me to death, for the pain of death has me in its grip but my life is still strong in me.
1:9 He said unto me again, Stand, I pray you, upon me, and slay me: for anguish has come upon me, because my life is yet whole in me.

1:10 Àú°¡ ¾þµå·¯Áø ÈÄ¿¡´Â »ì ¼ö ¾ø´Â ÁÙÀ» ³»°¡ ¾Ë°í ±× °ç¿¡ ¼­¼­ Á×ÀÌ°í ±× ¸Ó¸®¿¡ ÀÖ´Â ¸é·ù°ü°ú ÆÈ¿¡ ÀÖ´Â °í¸®¸¦ ¹þ°Ü¼­ ³» ÁÖ²²·Î °¡Á®¿Ô³ªÀÌ´Ù
1:10 So I put my foot on him and gave him his death-blow, because I was certain that he would not go on living after his fall: and I took the crown from his head and the band from his arm, and I have them here for my lord.
1:10 So I stood upon him, and slew him, because I was sure that he could not live after that he was fallen: and I took the crown that was upon his head, and the bracelet that was on his arm, and have brought them here unto my lord.

1:11 ¡Û ÀÌ¿¡ ´ÙÀ­ÀÌ Àڱ⠿ÊÀ» Àâ¾Æ ÂõÀ¸¸Å ÇÔ²² ÀÖ´Â ¸ðµç »ç¶÷µµ ±×¸®ÇÏ°í
1:11 Then David gave way to bitter grief, and so did all the men who were with him:
1:11 Then David took hold on his clothes, and rent them; and likewise all the men that were with him:

1:12 »ç¿ï°ú ±× ¾Æµé ¿ä³ª´Ü°ú ¿©È£¿ÍÀÇ ¹é¼º°ú À̽º¶ó¿¤ Á·¼ÓÀÌ Ä®¿¡ Á×À½À» ÀÎÇÏ¿© Àú³á ¶§±îÁö ½½ÆÛÇÏ¿© ¿ï¸ç ±Ý½ÄÇϴ϶ó
1:12 And till evening they gave themselves to sorrow and weeping, and took no food, weeping for Saul and for Jonathan, his son, and for the people of the Lord and for the men of Israel; because they had come to their end by the sword.
1:12 And they mourned, and wept, and fasted until even, for Saul, and for Jonathan his son, and for the people of the LORD, and for the house of Israel; because they were fallen by the sword.

1:13 ´ÙÀ­ÀÌ ±× °íÇÑ ¼Ò³â¿¡°Ô ¹¯µÇ ³Ê´Â ¾îµð »ç¶÷ÀÌ³Ä ´ë´äÇ쵂 ³ª´Â ¾Æ¸»·º »ç¶÷ °ð ¿Ü±¹ÀÎÀÇ ¾ÆµéÀÌ´ÏÀÌ´Ù
1:13 And David said to the young man who had given him the news, Where do you come from? And he said, I am the son of a man from a strange land; I am an Amalekite.
1:13 And David said unto the young man that told him, Whence are you? And he answered, I am the son of a stranger, an Amalekite.

1:14 ´ÙÀ­ÀÌ Àú¿¡°Ô À̸£µÇ ³×°¡ ¾îÂîÇÏ¿© ¼ÕÀ» µé¾î ¿©È£¿ÍÀÇ ±â¸§ ºÎÀ½ ¹ÞÀº ÀÚ Á×À̱⸦ µÎ·Á¿öÇÏÁö ¾Æ´ÏÇÏ¿´´À³Ä ÇÏ°í
1:14 And David said to him, Had you no fear of stretching out your hand to put to death the one marked with the holy oil?
1:14 And David said unto him, How were you not afraid to stretch forth yours hand to destroy the LORD's anointed?

1:15 ¼Ò³â Áß Çϳª¸¦ ºÒ·¯ À̸£µÇ °¡±îÀÌ °¡¼­ Àú¸¦ Á×À̶ó ÇϸŠ±×°¡ Ä¡¸Å °ð Á×À¸´Ï¶ó
1:15 And David sent for one of his young men and said, Go near and put an end to him. And he put him to death.
1:15 And David called one of the young men, and said, Go near, and fall upon him. And he stroke him that he died.

1:16 ´ÙÀ­ÀÌ Àú¿¡°Ô À̸£±â¸¦ ³× ÇÇ°¡ ³× ¸Ó¸®·Î µ¹¾Æ°¥Áö¾î´Ù ³× ÀÔÀÌ ³×°Ô ´ëÇÏ¿© Áõ°ÅÇϱ⸦ ³»°¡ ¿©È£¿ÍÀÇ ±â¸§ ºÎÀ½ ¹ÞÀº ÀÚ¸¦ Á׿´³ë¶ó ÇÔÀ̴϶ó ÇÏ¿´´õ¶ó
1:16 And David said to him, May your blood be on your head; for your mouth has given witness against you, saying, I have put to death the man marked with the holy oil.
1:16 And David said unto him, Your blood be upon your head; for your mouth has testified against you, saying, I have slain the LORD's anointed.

1:17 ¡Û ´ÙÀ­ÀÌ ÀÌ ½½Ç ³ë·¡·Î »ç¿ï°ú ±× ¾Æµé ¿ä³ª´ÜÀ» Á¶»óÇÏ°í
1:17 Then David made this song of grief for Saul and Jonathan, his son:
1:17 And David lamented with this lamentation over Saul and over Jonathan his son:

1:18 ¸íÇÏ¿© ±×°ÍÀ» À¯´Ù Á·¼Ó¿¡°Ô °¡¸£Ä¡¶ó ÇÏ¿´À¸´Ï °ð È° ³ë·¡¶ó ¾ß»ìÀÇ Ã¥¿¡ ±â·ÏµÇ¾úÀ¸µÇ
1:18 (It is recorded in the book of Jashar for teaching to the sons of Judah) and he said:
1:18 (Also he bade them teach the children of Judah the use of the bow: behold, it is written in the book of Jasher.)

1:19  À̽º¶ó¿¤¾Æ ³ÊÀÇ ¿µ±¤ÀÌ »ê À§¿¡¼­ Á×ÀÓÀ» ´çÇÏ¿´µµ´Ù ¿ÀÈ£¶ó µÎ ¿ë»ç°¡ ¾þµå·¯Á³µµ´Ù
1:19 The glory, O Israel, is dead on your high places! How have the great ones been made low!
1:19 The beauty of Israel is slain upon your high places: how are the mighty fallen!

1:20  ÀÌ ÀÏÀ» °¡µå¿¡µµ °íÇÏÁö ¸»¸ç ¾Æ½º±Û·Ð °Å¸®¿¡µµ ÀüÆÄÇÏÁö ¸»Áö¾î´Ù ºí·¹¼Â »ç¶÷ÀÇ µþµéÀÌ Áñ°Å¿öÇÒ±î, ÇÒ·Ê ¹ÞÁö ¸øÇÑ ÀÚÀÇ µþµéÀÌ °³°¡¸¦ ºÎ¸¦±î ¿°·Á·Î´Ù
1:20 Give no news of it in Gath, let it not be said in the streets of Ashkelon; or the daughters of the Philistines will be glad, the daughters of men without circumcision will be uplifted in joy.
1:20 Tell it not in Gath, publish it not in the streets of Askelon; lest the daughters of the Philistines rejoice, lest the daughters of the uncircumcised triumph.

1:21  ±æº¸¾Æ »êµé¾Æ ³ÊÈñ À§¿¡ ¿ì·Î°¡ ³»¸®Áö ¾Æ´ÏÇϸç Á¦¹° ³¾ ¹çµµ ¾øÀ»Áö¾î´Ù °Å±â¼­ µÎ ¿ë»çÀÇ ¹æÆа¡ ¹ö¸° ¹Ù µÊÀ̶ó °ð »ç¿ïÀÇ ¹æÆа¡ ±â¸§ ºÎÀ½À» ¹ÞÁö ¾ÊÀ½ °°ÀÌ µÊÀ̷δÙ
1:21 O mountains of Gilboa, let there be no dew or rain on you, you fields of death: for there the arms of the strong have been shamed, the arms of Saul, as if he had not been marked with the holy oil.
1:21 All of you mountains of Gilboa, let there be no dew, neither let there be rain, upon you, nor fields of offerings: for there the shield of the mighty is vilely cast away, the shield of Saul, as though he had not been anointed with oil.

1:22  Á×Àº ÀÚÀÇ ÇÇ¿¡¼­, ¿ë»çÀÇ ±â¸§¿¡¼­ ¿ä³ª´ÜÀÇ È°ÀÌ ¹°·¯°¡Áö ¾Æ´ÏÇÏ¿´À¸¸ç »ç¿ïÀÇ Ä®ÀÌ ÇêµÇÀÌ µ¹¾Æ¿ÀÁö ¾Æ´ÏÇÏ¿´µµ´Ù
1:22 From the blood of the dead, from the fat of the strong, the bow of Jonathan was not turned back, the sword of Saul did not come back unused.
1:22 From the blood of the slain, from the fat of the mighty, the bow of Jonathan turned not back, and the sword of Saul returned not empty.

1:23  »ç¿ï°ú ¿ä³ª´ÜÀÌ »ýÀü¿¡ »ç¶û½º·´°í ¾Æ¸§´Ù¿î ÀÚ·¯´Ï Á×À» ¶§¿¡µµ ¼­·Î ¶°³ªÁö ¾Æ´ÏÇÏ¿´µµ´Ù ÀúÈñ´Â µ¶¼ö¸®º¸´Ù ºü¸£°í »çÀÚº¸´Ù °­ÇÏ¿´µµ´Ù
1:23 Saul and Jonathan were loved and pleasing; in their lives and in their death they were not parted; they went more quickly than eagles, they were stronger than lions.
1:23 Saul and Jonathan were lovely and pleasant in their lives, and in their death they were not divided: they were swifter than eagles, they were stronger than lions.

1:24  À̽º¶ó¿¤ µþµé¾Æ »ç¿ïÀ» ½½ÆÛÇÏ¿© ¿ïÁö¾î´Ù Àú°¡ ºÓÀº ¿ÊÀ¸·Î ³ÊÈñ¿¡°Ô È­·ÁÇÏ°Ô ÀÔÇû°í ±Ý ³ë¸®°³¸¦ ³ÊÈñ ¿Ê¿¡ ä¿üµµ´Ù
1:24 O daughters of Israel, have sorrow for Saul, by whom you were delicately clothed in robes of red, with ornaments of gold on your dresses.
1:24 All of you daughters of Israel, weep over Saul, who clothed you in scarlet, with other delights, who put on ornaments of gold upon your apparel.

1:25  ¿ÀÈ£¶ó µÎ ¿ë»ç°¡ ÀüÀï Áß¿¡ ¾þµå·¯Á³µµ´Ù ¿ä³ª´ÜÀÌ ³ÊÀÇ »ê À§¿¡¼­ Á×ÀÓÀ» ´çÇÏ¿´µµ´Ù
1:25 How have the great ones been made low in the fight! Jonathan is dead on your high places.
1:25 How are the mighty fallen in the midst of the battle! O Jonathan, you were slain in yours high places.

1:26 I am full of grief for you, my brother Jonathan: very dear have you been to me: your love for me was a wonder, greater than the love of women.
1:26 I am distressed for you, my brother Jonathan: very pleasant have you been unto me: your love to me was wonderful, passing the love of women.

2:1 ±× ÈÄ¿¡ ´ÙÀ­ÀÌ ¿©È£¿Í²² ¹°¾î °¡·ÎµÇ ³»°¡ À¯´Ù ÇÑ ¼ºÀ¸·Î ¿Ã¶ó°¡¸®ÀÌ±î ¿©È£¿Í²²¼­ °¡¶ó»ç´ë ¿Ã¶ó°¡¶ó ´ÙÀ­ÀÌ °¡·ÎµÇ ¾îµð·Î °¡¸®ÀÌ±î °¡¶ó»ç´ë Çìºê·ÐÀ¸·Î °¥Áö´Ï¶ó
2:1 Now after this, David, questioning the Lord, said, Am I to go up into any of the towns of Judah? And the Lord said to him, Go up. And David said, Where am I to go? And he said, To Hebron.
2:1 And it came to pass after this, that David enquired of the LORD, saying, Shall I go up into any of the cities of Judah? And the LORD said unto him, Go up. And David said, Where shall I go up? And he said, Unto Hebron.

2:2 ´ÙÀ­ÀÌ ±× µÎ ¾Æ³» À̽º¸£¿¤ ¿©ÀÎ ¾ÆÈ÷³ë¾Ï°ú °¥¸á »ç¶÷ ³ª¹ßÀÇ ¾Æ³» µÇ¾ú´ø ¾Æºñ°¡ÀÏÀ» µ¥¸®°í ±×¸®·Î ¿Ã¶ó°¥ ¶§¿¡
2:2 So David went there, taking with him his two wives, Ahinoam of Jezreel, and Abigail, the wife of Nabal of Carmel.
2:2 So David went up thither, and his two wives also, Ahinoam the Jezreelitess, and Abigail Nabal's wife the Carmelite.

2:3 ¶Ç ÀÚ±â¿Í ÇÔ²² ÇÑ Á¾ÀÚµé°ú ±×µéÀÇ ±Ç¼ÓµéÀ» ´Ù µ¥¸®°í ¿Ã¶ó°¡¼­ Çìºê·Ð °¢ ¼º¿¡ °ÅÇÏ°Ô Çϴ϶ó
2:3 And David took all his men with him, every man with his family: and they were living in the towns round Hebron.
2:3 And his men that were with him did David bring up, every man with his household: and they dwelt in the cities of Hebron.

2:4 À¯´Ù »ç¶÷µéÀÌ ¿Í¼­ °Å±â¼­ ´ÙÀ­¿¡°Ô ±â¸§À» ºÎ¾î À¯´Ù Á·¼ÓÀÇ ¿ÕÀ» »ï¾Ò´õ¶ó ¡Û ȤÀÌ ´ÙÀ­¿¡°Ô °íÇÏ¿© °¡·ÎµÇ »ç¿ïÀ» Àå»çÇÑ »ç¶÷Àº ±æ¸£¾Ñ ¾ßº£½º »ç¶÷µéÀÌ´ÏÀÌ´Ù ÇϸÅ
2:4 And the men of Judah came there, and with the holy oil made David king over the people of Judah. And word came to David that it was the men of Jabesh-gilead who put Saul's body in its last resting-place.
2:4 And the men of Judah came, and there they anointed David king over the house of Judah. And they told David, saying, That the men of Jabeshgilead were they that buried Saul.

2:5 ´ÙÀ­ÀÌ ±æ¸£¾Ñ ¾ßº£½º »ç¶÷µé¿¡°Ô »çÀÚµéÀ» º¸³»¾î °¡·ÎµÇ ³ÊÈñ°¡ ³ÊÈñ ÁÖ »ç¿ï¿¡°Ô ÀÌó·³ ÀºÇý¸¦ º£Ç®¾î Àå»çÇÏ¿´À¸´Ï ¿©È£¿Í²² º¹À» ¹ÞÀ»Áö¾î´Ù
2:5 And David sent to the men of Jabesh-gilead and said to them, May the Lord give you his blessing, because you have done this kind act to Saul your lord, and have put his body to rest!
2:5 And David sent messengers unto the men of Jabeshgilead, and said unto them, Blessed be all of you of the LORD, that all of you have showed this kindness unto your lord, even unto Saul, and have buried him.

2:6 ³ÊÈñ°¡ ÀÌ ÀÏÀ» ÇÏ¿´À¸´Ï ÀÌÁ¦ ¿©È£¿Í²²¼­ ÀºÇý¿Í Áø¸®·Î ³ÊÈñ¿¡°Ô º£Çª½Ã±â¸¦ ¿øÇÏ°í ³ªµµ ÀÌ ¼±ÇÑ ÀÏÀ» ³ÊÈñ¿¡°Ô °±À¸¸®´Ï
2:6 May the Lord be good and true to you: and I myself will see that your kind act is rewarded, because you have done this thing.
2:6 And now the LORD show kindness and truth unto you: and I also will requite you this kindness, because all of you have done this thing.

2:7 ÀÌÁ¦ ³ÊÈñ´Â ¼ÕÀ» °­ÇÏ°Ô ÇÏ°í ´ã´ëÈ÷ ÇÒÁö¾î´Ù ³ÊÈñ ÁÖ »ç¿ïÀÌ Á×¾ú°í ¶Ç À¯´Ù Á·¼ÓÀÌ ³»°Ô ±â¸§À» ºÎ¾î ÀúÈñÀÇ ¿ÕÀ» »ï¾ÒÀ½À̴϶ó
2:7 Then let your hands be strong, and have no fear: though Saul your lord is dead, the people of Judah have made me their king.
2:7 Therefore now let your hands be strengthened, and be all of you valiant: for your master Saul is dead, and also the house of Judah have anointed me king over them.

2:8 ¡Û »ç¿ïÀÇ ±ºÀå ³ÚÀÇ ¾Æµé ¾Æºê³ÚÀÌ ÀÌ¹Ì »ç¿ïÀÇ ¾Æµé À̽ºº¸¼ÂÀ» µ¥¸®°í ¸¶ÇϳªÀÓÀ¸·Î °Ç³Ê°¡¼­
2:8 Now Abner, the son of Ner, captain of Saul's army, had taken Saul's son Ish-bosheth over to Mahanaim,
2:8 But Abner the son of Ner, captain of Saul's host, took Ishbosheth the son of Saul, and brought him over to Mahanaim;

2:9 ±æ¸£¾Ñ°ú ¾Æ¼ú°ú À̽º¸£¿¤°ú ¿¡ºê¶óÀÓ°ú º£³Ä¹Î°ú ¿Â À̽º¶ó¿¤ÀÇ ¿ÕÀ» »ï¾Ò´õ¶ó
2:9 And made him king over Gilead and the Asherites and over Jezreel and Ephraim and Benjamin, that is, over all Israel.
2:9 And made him king over Gilead, and over the Ashurites, and over Jezreel, and over Ephraim, and over Benjamin, and over all Israel.

2:10 (Saul's son Ish-bosheth was forty years old when he became king over Israel, and he was ruler for two years.) But Judah was on the side of David.

2:16 And every one got the other by the head, driving his sword into the other's side, so they all went down together: and that place was named the Field of Sides, and it is in Gibeon.
2:16 And they caught every one his fellow by the head, and thrust his sword in his fellow's side; so they fell down together: wherefore that place was called Helkathhazzurim, which is in Gibeon.

2:18 There were three sons of Zeruiah there, Joab and Abishai and Asahel: and Asahel was as quick-footed as a roe of the fields.

2:19 Asahel went running after Abner, not turning to the right or to the left.

2:20 Then Abner, looking back, said, Is it you, Asahel? And he said, It is I.
2:20 Then Abner looked behind him, and said, Are you Asahel? And he answered, I am.

2:21 And Abner said, Then go to the right or to the left and put your hands on one of the fighting-men and take his arms. But Asahel would not be turned away from going after Abner.
2:21 And Abner said to him, Turn you aside to your right hand or to your left, and lay you hold on one of the young men, and take you his armour. But Asahel would not turn aside from following of him.

2:22 Then again Abner said to Asahel, Go to one side, do not keep on coming after me: why will you make me put an end to you? for then I will be shamed before your brother Joab.
2:22 And Abner said again to Asahel, Turn you aside from following me: wherefore should I strike you to the ground? how then should I hold up my face to Joab your brother?

2:23 But still he did not go to one side: so Abner gave him a back blow in the stomach with his spear, so that the spear came out at his back; and he went down on the earth, wounded to death: and all those who came to the place where Asahel went down dead, came to a stop.
2:23 Nevertheless he refused to turn aside: wherefore Abner with the hinder end of the spear stroke him under the fifth rib, that the spear came out behind him; and he fell down there, and died in the same place: and it came to pass, that as many as came to the place where Asahel fell down and died stood still.

2:24 But Joab and Abishai went after Abner: and the sun went down when they came to the hill of Ammah, which is to the east of the road through the waste land of Geba.
2:24 Joab also and Abishai pursued after Abner: and the sun went down when they were come to the hill of Ammah, that lies before Giah by the way of the wilderness of Gibeon.

2:26 Then crying out to Joab, Abner said, Are fighting and destruction to go on for ever? do you not see that the end will only be bitter? how long will it be before you send the people back and make them give up attacking their countrymen?
2:26 Then Abner called to Joab, and said, Shall the sword devour for ever? know you not that it will be bitterness in the latter end? how long shall it be then, before you bid the people return from following their brethren?

2:27 And Joab said, By the living God, if you had not given the word, the people would have gone on attacking their countrymen till the morning.
2:27 And Joab said, As God lives, unless you had spoken, surely then in the morning the people had gone up every one from following his brother.

2:28 So Joab had a horn sounded, and all the people came to a stop, and gave up going after Israel and fighting them.
2:28 So Joab blew a trumpet, and all the people stood still, and pursued after Israel no more, neither fought they any more.

2:29 And Abner and his men walked all that night through the plain, and passed over Jordan, and went through all Bithron, and they came to Mahanaim.

2:31 But the servants of David had smitten of Benjamin, and of Abner's men, so that three hundred and threescore men died.

3:1 Now there was a long war between Saul's people and David's people; and David became stronger and stronger, but those on Saul's side became more and more feeble.
3:1 Now there was long war between the house of Saul and the house of David: but David waxed stronger and stronger, and the house of Saul waxed weaker and weaker.

3:7 Now Saul had among his wives a woman named Rizpah, the daughter of Aiah: and Ish-bosheth said to Abner, Why have you taken my father's wife?
3:7 And Saul had a concubine, whose name was Rizpah, the daughter of Aiah: and Ishbosheth said to Abner, Wherefore have you gone in unto my father's concubine?

3:8 And Abner was very angry at the words of Ish-bosheth, and he said, Am I a dog's head of Judah? I am this day doing all in my power for the cause of your father Saul and for his brothers and his friends, and have not given you up into the hands of David, and now you say I have done wrong with a woman.
3:8 Then was Abner very angry for the words of Ishbosheth, and said, Am I a dog's head, which against Judah do show kindness this day unto the house of Saul your father, to his brethren, and to his friends, and have not delivered you into the hand of David, that you charge me to day with a fault concerning this woman?

3:9 May God's punishment be on Abner, if I do not for David as the Lord in his oath has said,
3:9 So do God to Abner, and more also, except, as the LORD has sworn to David, even so I do to him;

3:10 And if I do not take away the kingdom from the family of Saul and make David ruler over Israel and Judah from Dan as far as Beer-sheba!
3:10 To translate the kingdom from the house of Saul, and to set up the throne of David over Israel and over Judah, from Dan even to Beersheba.

3:12 And Abner sent men to David at Hebron, saying, Make an agreement with me, and I will give you my support in getting all Israel on your side.

3:13 And he said, It is well; I will make an agreement with you, but on one condition, which is, that when you come before me, Saul's daughter Michal is to come with you; till she comes you will not see my face.
3:13 And he said, Well; I will make a league with you: but one thing I require of you, that is, You shall not see my face, except you first bring Michal Saul's daughter, when you come to see my face.

3:14 And David sent men to Saul's son Ish-bosheth, saying, Give me back Michal, my wife, whom I made mine for the price of the private parts of a hundred Philistines.

3:16 And her husband went with her as far as Bahurim, weeping while he went. Then Abner said to him, Go back. And he went back.

3:17 Then Abner had a talk with the chief men of Israel, saying, In the past it was your desire to make David your king: so now, do it:

3:18 For the Lord has said of David, By the hand of my servant David I will make my people Israel safe from the Philistines, and from all who are against them.
3:18 Now then do it: for the LORD has spoken of David, saying, By the hand of my servant David I will save my people Israel out of the hand of the Philistines, and out of the hand of all their enemies.

3:19 And Abner said the same things to Benjamin: and he went to David in Hebron to make clear to him what seemed good to Israel and to all the people of Benjamin.
3:19 And Abner also spoke in the ears of Benjamin: and Abner went also to speak in the ears of David in Hebron all that seemed good to Israel, and that seemed good to the whole house of Benjamin.

3:20 So Abner, with twenty men, came to Hebron, to David. And David made a feast for Abner and the men who were with him.

3:21 And Abner said to David, Now I will go, and make all Israel come to my lord the king, so that they may make an agreement with you, and your kingdom may be as wide as your heart's desire. Then David sent Abner away and he went in peace.

3:22 Now the servants of David and Joab had been out attacking a band of armed men, and they came back with a great store of goods taken in the fight: but Abner was no longer in Hebron with David, for he had sent him away and he had gone in peace.
3:22 And, behold, the servants of David and Joab came from pursuing a troop, and brought in a great spoil with them: but Abner was not with David in Hebron; for he had sent him away, and he was gone in peace.

3:23 When Joab and his men came, news was given them that Abner, the son of Ner, had come to the king, who had let him go away again in peace.
3:23 When Joab and all the host that was with him were come, they told Joab, saying, Abner the son of Ner came to the king, and he has sent him away, and he is gone in peace.

3:24 Then Joab came to the king, and said, What have you done? when Abner came to you why did you send him away and let him go?

3:26 And when Joab had come out from David, he sent men after Abner, and they overtook him at the water-spring of Sirah, and made him come back with them: but David had no knowledge of it.
3:26 And when Joab was come out from David, he sent messengers after Abner, which brought him again from the well of Sirah: but David knew it not.

3:27 And when Abner was back in Hebron, Joab took him on one side by the doorway of the town to have a word with him quietly, and there he gave him a wound in the stomach, causing his death in payment for the death of his brother Asahel.
3:27 And when Abner was returned to Hebron, Joab took him aside in the gate to speak with him quietly, and stroke him there under the fifth rib, that he died, for the blood of Asahel his brother.

3:28 And when David had word of it he said, May I and my kingdom be clear for ever in the eyes of the Lord from the blood of Abner, the son of Ner:

3:29 May it come on the head of Joab and all his father's family: among the men of Joab's family may there ever be some who are diseased or lepers, or who do the work of women, or are put to the sword, or are wasted from need of food!
3:29 Let it rest on the head of Joab, and on all his father's house; and let there not fail from the house of Joab one that has an issue, or that is a leper, or that leans on a staff, or that falls on the sword, or that lacks bread.

3:30 So Joab and Abishai his brother put Abner to death, because he had put to death their brother Asahel in the fight at Gibeon.

3:31 And David said to Joab and all the people who were with him, Go in grief and put haircloth about you, in sorrow for Abner. And King David went after the dead body.
3:31 And David said to Joab, and to all the people that were with him, Rend your clothes, and gird you with sackcloth, and mourn before Abner. And king David himself followed the bier.

3:32 And they put Abner's body to rest in Hebron; and the king and all the people were weeping loudly by the resting-place of Abner's body.

3:34 Your hands were free, your feet were not chained: like the downfall of a man before evil men, so was your fall. And the weeping of the people over him went on again.
3:34 Your hands were not bound, nor your feet put into fetters: as a man falls before wicked men, so fell you. And all the people wept again over him.

3:35 And the people came to make David take food, while it was still day, but David with an oath said, May God's punishment be on me if I take a taste of bread or any other thing till the sun has gone down!
3:35 And when all the people came to cause David to eat food while it was yet day, David swore, saying, So do God to me, and more also, if I taste bread, or ought else, till the sun be down.

3:37 So it was clear to Israel and to all the people on that day that the king was not responsible for the death of Abner, the son of Ner.

3:39 While I, though I am crowned king, have little strength, and these men, the sons of Zeruiah, are out of my control: may the Lord give to the evil-doer the reward of his evil-doing!
3:39 And I am this day weak, though anointed king; and these men the sons of Zeruiah be too hard for me: the LORD shall reward the doer of evil according to his wickedness.

He was five years old when news of the death of Saul and Jonathan came from Jezreel, and the woman who took care of him took him up and went in flight: and while she was getting him away as quickly as she was able, he had a fall and his feet were damaged. His name was Mephibosheth.
4:4 And Jonathan, Saul's son, had a son that was lame of his feet. He was five years old when the tidings came of Saul and Jonathan out of Jezreel, and his nurse took him up, and fled: and it came to pass, as she made haste to flee, that he fell, and became lame. And his name was Mephibosheth.

4:5 And Rechab and Baanah, the sons of Rimmon the Beerothite, went out and came to the house of Ish-bosheth in the heat of the day, when he was resting in the middle of the day. Now the woman who kept the door was cleaning grain, and sleep overcame her.
4:5 And the sons of Rimmon the Beerothite, Rechab and Baanah, went, and came about the heat of the day to the house of Ishbosheth, who lay on a bed at noon.

4:6 And Rechab and his brother Baanah got in without being seen.
4:6 And they came thither into the midst of the house, as though they would have fetched wheat; and they stroke him under the fifth rib: and Rechab and Baanah his brother escaped.

4:7 And when they came into the house, Ish-bosheth was stretched on his bed in his bedroom; and they made an attack on him and put him to death, and, cutting off his head, they took it with them and went by the road through the Arabah all night.
4:7 For when they came into the house, he lay on his bed in his bedchamber, and they stroke him, and slew him, and beheaded him, and took his head, and got them away through the plain all night.

4:8 And they took the head of Ish-bosheth to David in Hebron, and said to the king, Here is the head of Ish-bosheth, the son of Saul your hater, who would have taken your life; the Lord has taken payment for the wrongs of my lord the king from Saul and his seed today.
4:8 And they brought the head of Ishbosheth unto David to Hebron, and said to the king, Behold the head of Ishbosheth the son of Saul yours enemy, which sought your life; and the LORD has avenged my lord the king this day of Saul, and of his seed.

4:9 And David made answer to Rechab and his brother Baanah, the sons of Rimmon the Beerothite, and said to them, By the living Lord, who has kept me safe from all my trouble,
4:9 And David answered Rechab and Baanah his brother, the sons of Rimmon the Beerothite, and said unto them, As the LORD lives, who has redeemed my soul out of all adversity,

4:10 When one came to me with the news of Saul's death, in the belief that it would be good news, I took him and put him to death in Ziklag, which was the reward I gave him for his news:
4:10 When one told me, saying, Behold, Saul is dead, thinking to have brought good tidings, I took hold of him, and slew him in Ziklag, who thought that I would have given him a reward for his tidings:

4:11 How much more, when evil men have put an upright person to death, in his house, sleeping on his bed, will I take payment from you for his blood, and have you cut off from the earth?
4:11 How much more, when wicked men have slain a righteous person in his own house upon his bed? shall I not therefore now require his blood of your hand, and take you away from the earth?

4:12 And David gave orders to his young men and they put them to death, cutting off their hands and their feet and hanging them up by the side of the pool in Hebron. But they took the head of Ish-bosheth and put it in its last resting-place with Abner's body in Hebron.
4:12 And David commanded his young men, and they slew them, and cut off their hands and their feet, and hanged them up over the pool in Hebron. But they took the head of Ishbosheth, and buried it in the tomb of Abner in Hebron.

5:1 Then all the tribes of Israel came to David in Hebron and said, Truly, we are your bone and your flesh.
5:1 Then came all the tribes of Israel to David unto Hebron, and spoke, saying, Behold, we are your bone and your flesh.

5:2 In the past when Saul was king over us, it was you who went at the head of Israel when they went out or came in: and the Lord said to you, You are to be the keeper of my people Israel and their ruler.
5:2 Also in time past, when Saul was king over us, you were he that led out and brought in Israel: and the LORD said to you, You shall feed my people Israel, and you shall be a captain over Israel.

5:3 So all the responsible men of Israel came to the king at Hebron; and King David made an agreement with them in Hebron before the Lord: and they put the holy oil on David and made him king over Israel.
5:3 So all the elders of Israel came to the king to Hebron; and king David made a league with them in Hebron before the LORD: and they anointed David king over Israel.

5:5 Ruling over Judah in Hebron for seven years and six months, and in Jerusalem, over all Israel and Judah, for thirty-three years.
5:5 In Hebron he reigned over Judah seven years and six months: and in Jerusalem he reigned thirty and three years over all Israel and Judah.

5:6 And the king and his men went to Jerusalem against the Jebusites, the people of the land: and they said to David, You will not come in here, but the blind and the feeble-footed will keep you out; for they said, David will not be able to come in here.
5:6 And the king and his men went to Jerusalem unto the Jebusites, the inhabitants of the land: which spoke unto David, saying, Except you take away the blind and the lame, you shall not come in here: thinking, David cannot come in here.

5:7 But David took the strong place of Zion, which is the town of David.
5:7 Nevertheless David took the strong hold of Zion: the same is the city of David.

5:8 And that day David said, Whoever makes an attack on the Jebusites, let him go up by the water-pipe, and put to death all the blind and feeble-footed who are hated by David. And this is why they say, The blind and feeble-footed may not come into the house.
5:8 And David said on that day, Whosoever gets up to the watercourse, and strikes the Jebusites, and the lame and the blind that are hated of David's soul, he shall be chief and captain. Wherefore they said, The blind and the lame shall not come into the house.

5:9 So David took the strong tower for his living-place, naming it the town of David. And David took in hand the building of the town all round, starting from the Millo.
5:9 So David dwelt in the fort, and called it the city of David. And David built round about from Millo and inward.

5:10 And David became greater and greater; for the Lord, the God of armies, was with him.

5:11 And Hiram, king of Tyre, sent men to David, with cedar-trees and woodworkers and stoneworkers: and they made David a house.
5:11 And Hiram king of Tyre sent messengers to David, and cedar trees, and carpenters, and stone workers: and they built David an house.

5:12 And David saw that the Lord had made his position safe as king over Israel, and that he had made his kingdom great because of his people Israel.
5:12 And David perceived that the LORD had established him king over Israel, and that he had exalted his kingdom for his people Israel's sake.

5:13 And David took more women and wives in Jerusalem, after he had come from Hebron: and he had more sons and daughters.
5:13 And David took him more concubines and wives out of Jerusalem, after he was come from Hebron: and there were yet sons and daughters born to David.

5:17 And when the Philistines had news that David had been made king over Israel, they all went up in search of David; and David, hearing of it, went down to the strong place.
5:17 But when the Philistines heard that they had anointed David king over Israel, all the Philistines came up to seek David; and David heard of it, and went down to the hold.

5:19 And David, desiring directions from the Lord, said, Am I to go up against the Philistines? will you give them up into my hands? And the Lord said, Go up, for I will certainly give up the Philistines into your hands.
5:19 And David enquired of the LORD, saying, Shall I go up to the Philistines? will you deliver them into mine hand? And the LORD said unto David, Go up: for I will doubtless deliver the Philistines into yours hand.

5:20 ´ÙÀ­ÀÌ ¹Ù¾Ëºê¶ó½É¿¡ À̸£·¯ °Å±â¼­ ÀúÈñ¸¦ Ä¡°í °¡·ÎµÇ ¿©È£¿Í²²¼­ ¹°À» ÈðÀ½ °°ÀÌ ³» ¾Õ¿¡¼­ ³» ´ëÀûÀ» ÈðÀ¸¼Ì´Ù ÇϹǷΠ±× °÷ À̸§À» ¹Ù¾Ëºê¶ó½ÉÀ̶ó ĪÇϴ϶ó
5:20 And David went to Baal-perazim, and overcame them there; and he said, The Lord has let the forces fighting against me be broken before me as a wall is broken by rushing waters. So that place was named Baal-perazim.
5:20 And David came to Baalperazim, and David stroke them there, and said, The LORD has broken forth upon mine enemies before me, as the breach of waters. Therefore he called the name of that place Baalperazim.

5:21 And the Philistines, when they went in flight, did not take their images with them, and David and his men took them away.
5:21 And there they left their images, and David and his men burned them.

5:22 And the Philistines came up again, and went in every direction in the valley of Rephaim.
5:22 And the Philistines came up yet again, and spread themselves in the valley of Rephaim.

5:23 And when David went for directions to the Lord, he said, You are not to go up against them in front; but make a circle round them from the back and come on them opposite the spice-trees.
5:23 And when David enquired of the LORD, he said, You shall not go up; but fetch a compass behind them, and come upon them opposite to the mulberry trees.

5:24 Then at the sound of footsteps in the tops of the trees, go forward quickly, for the Lord has gone out before you to overcome the army of the Philistines.
5:24 And let it be, when you hear the sound of a going in the tops of the mulberry trees, that then you shall bestir yourself: for then shall the LORD go out before you, to strike the host of the Philistines.

5:25 And David did as the Lord had said; and he overcame the Philistines, attacking them from Gibeon to near Gezer.
5:25 And David did so, as the LORD had commanded him; and stroke the Philistines from Geba until you come to Gazer.

6:1 And David got together all the fighting-men of Israel to the number of thirty thousand;
6:1 Again, David gathered together all the chosen men of Israel, thirty thousand.

6:2 ÀϾ¼­ ±× ÇÔ²² ÀÖ´Â ¸ðµç »ç¶÷À¸·Î ´õºÒ¾î ¹Ù¾Ë·¹À¯´Ù·Î °¡¼­ °Å±â¼­ Çϳª´ÔÀÇ ±Ë¸¦ ¸Þ¾î ¿À·Á ÇÏ´Ï ±× ±Ë´Â ±×·ìµé »çÀÌ¿¡ ÁÂÁ¤ÇϽŠ¸¸±ºÀÇ ¿©È£¿ÍÀÇ À̸§À¸·Î À̸§ÇÏ´Â °ÍÀ̶ó
6:2 And David, and all the people who were with him, went to Baal of Judah to get the ark of God, over which the holy name is named, the name of the Lord of armies, whose place is between the winged ones.
6:2 And David arose, and went with all the people that were with him from Baale of Judah, to bring up from thence the ark of God, whose name is called by the name of the LORD of hosts that dwells between the cherubims.

6:3 ÀúÈñ°¡ Çϳª´ÔÀÇ ±Ë¸¦ »õ ¼ö·¹¿¡ ½Æ°í »ê¿¡ ÀÖ´Â ¾Æºñ³ª´äÀÇ Áý¿¡¼­ ³ª¿À´Âµ¥ ¾Æºñ³ª´äÀÇ ¾Æµé ¿ô»ç¿Í ¾ÆÈ¿°¡ ±× »õ ¼ö·¹¸¦ ¸ð´Ï¶ó
6:3 And they put the ark of God on a new cart and took it out of the house of Abinadab which was on the hill: and Uzzah and Ahio, the sons of Abinadab, were the drivers of the cart.
6:3 And they set the ark of God upon a new cart, and brought it out of the house of Abinadab that was in Gibeah: and Uzzah and Ahio, the sons of Abinadab, drove the new cart.

6:4 ÀúÈñ°¡ »ê¿¡ ÀÖ´Â ¾Æºñ³ª´äÀÇ Áý¿¡¼­ Çϳª´ÔÀÇ ±Ë¸¦ ½Æ°í ³ª¿Ã ¶§¿¡ ¾ÆÈ¿´Â ±Ë ¾Õ¿¡¼­ ÇàÇÏ°í
6:4 And Uzzah went by the side of the ark, while Ahio went before it.
6:4 And they brought it out of the house of Abinadab which was at Gibeah, accompanying the ark of God: and Ahio went before the ark.

6:5 ´ÙÀ­°ú À̽º¶ó¿¤ ¿Â Á·¼ÓÀÌ À㳪¹«·Î ¸¸µç ¿©·¯ °¡Áö ¾Ç±â¿Í ¼ö±Ý°ú ºñÆÄ¿Í ¼Ò°í¿Í ¾ç±Ý°ú Á¦±ÝÀ¸·Î ¿©È£¿Í ¾Õ¿¡¼­ ÁÖ¾ÇÇÏ´õ¶ó
6:5 And David and all the men of Israel made melody before the Lord with all their power, with songs and with corded instruments and instruments of brass.
6:5 And David and all the house of Israel played before the LORD on all manner of instruments made of fir wood, even on harps, and on psalteries, and on timbrels, and on cornets, and on cymbals.

6:6 ¡Û ÀúÈñ°¡ ³ª°ïÀÇ Å¸ÀÛ ¸¶´ç¿¡ À̸£·¯¼­´Â ¼ÒµéÀÌ ¶Ù¹Ç·Î ¿ô»ç°¡ ¼ÕÀ» µé¾î Çϳª´ÔÀÇ ±Ë¸¦ ºÙµé¾ú´õ´Ï
6:6 And when they came to Nacon's grain-floor, Uzzah put his hand on the ark of God to keep it safe in its place, for the oxen were out of control.
6:6 And when they came to Nachon's threshing floor, Uzzah put forth his hand to the ark of God, and took hold of it; for the oxen shook it.

6:7 ¿©È£¿Í Çϳª´ÔÀÌ ¿ô»çÀÇ À߸øÇÔÀ» ÀÎÇÏ¿© Áø³ëÇÏ»ç Àú¸¦ ±× °÷¿¡¼­ Ä¡½Ã´Ï Àú°¡ °Å±â Çϳª´ÔÀÇ ±Ë °ç¿¡¼­ Á×À¸´Ï¶ó
6:7 And the wrath of the Lord, burning against Uzzah, sent destruction on him because he had put his hand on the ark, and death came to him there by the ark of God.
6:7 And the anger of the LORD was kindled against Uzzah; and God stroke him there for his error; and there he died by the ark of God.

6:8 ¿©È£¿Í²²¼­ ¿ô»ç¸¦ Ãæµ¹ÇϽùǷΠ´ÙÀ­ÀÌ ºÐÇÏ¿© ±× °÷À» º£·¹½º¿ô»ç¶ó ĪÇÏ´Ï ±× À̸§ÀÌ ¿À´Ã±îÁö À̸£´Ï¶ó
6:8 And David was angry because of the Lord's outburst of wrath against Uzzah: and he gave that place the name Perez-uzzah, which is its name to this day.
6:8 And David was displeased, because the LORD had made a breach upon Uzzah: and he called the name of the place Perezuzzah to this day.

6:9 ´ÙÀ­ÀÌ ±× ³¯¿¡ ¿©È£¿Í¸¦ µÎ·Á¿öÇÏ¿© °¡·ÎµÇ ¿©È£¿ÍÀÇ ±Ë°¡ ¾îÂî ³»°Ô·Î ¿À¸®¿ä ÇÏ°í
6:9 And such was David's fear of the Lord that day, that he said, How may I let the ark of God come to me?
6:9 And David was afraid of the LORD that day, and said, How shall the ark of the LORD come to me?

6:10 ¿©È£¿ÍÀÇ ±Ë¸¦ ¿Å°Ü ´ÙÀ­ ¼º Àڱ⿡°Ô·Î ¸Þ¾î °¡±â¸¦ Áñ°ÜÇÏÁö ¾Æ´ÏÇÏ°í Ä¡¿ìÃÄ °¡µå »ç¶÷ ¿Àº¦¿¡µ¼ÀÇ ÁýÀ¸·Î ¸Þ¾î °£Áö¶ó
6:10 So David did not let the ark of the Lord come back to him to the town of David: but had it turned away and put into the house of Obed-edom the Gittite.
6:10 So David would not remove the ark of the LORD unto him into the city of David: but David carried it aside into the house of Obededom the Gittite.

6:11 ¿©È£¿ÍÀÇ ±Ë°¡ °¡µå »ç¶÷ ¿Àº¦¿¡µ¼ÀÇ Áý¿¡ ¼® ´ÞÀ» ÀÖ¾ú´Âµ¥ ¿©È£¿Í²²¼­ ¿Àº¦¿¡µ¼°ú ±× ¿Â Áý¿¡ º¹À» Áֽô϶ó
6:11 And the ark of the Lord was in the house of Obed-edom the Gittite for three months: and the Lord sent a blessing on Obed-edom and all his family.
6:11 And the ark of the LORD continued in the house of Obededom the Gittite three months: and the LORD blessed Obededom, and all his household.

6:12 ¡Û ȤÀÌ ´ÙÀ­ ¿Õ¿¡°Ô °íÇÏ¿© °¡·ÎµÇ ¿©È£¿Í²²¼­ Çϳª´ÔÀÇ ±Ë¸¦ ÀÎÇÏ¿© ¿Àº¦¿¡µ¼ÀÇ Áý°ú ±× ¸ðµç ¼ÒÀ¯¿¡ º¹À» Á̴ּ٠ÇÑÁö¶ó ´ÙÀ­ÀÌ °¡¼­ Çϳª´ÔÀÇ ±Ë¸¦ ±â»ÝÀ¸·Î ¸Þ°í ¿Àº¦¿¡µ¼ÀÇ Áý¿¡¼­ ´ÙÀ­ ¼ºÀ¸·Î ¿Ã¶ó°¥»õ
6:12 And they said to King David, The blessing of the Lord is on the family of Obed-edom and on all he has, because of the ark of God. And David went and took the ark of God from the house of Obed-edom into the town of David with joy.
6:12 And it was told king David, saying, The LORD has blessed the house of Obededom, and all that pertains unto him, because of the ark of God. So David went and brought up the ark of God from the house of Obededom into the city of David with gladness.

6:13 ¿©È£¿ÍÀÇ ±Ë¸¦ ¸à »ç¶÷µéÀÌ ¿©¼¸ °ÉÀ½À» ÇàÇϸŠ´ÙÀ­ÀÌ ¼Ò¿Í »ìÁø °ÍÀ¸·Î Á¦»ç¸¦ µå¸®°í
6:13 And when those who were lifting the ark of the Lord had gone six steps, he made an offering of an ox and a fat young beast.
6:13 And it was so, that when they that bare the ark of the LORD had gone six paces, he sacrificed oxen and fatlings.

6:14 ¿©È£¿Í ¾Õ¿¡¼­ ÈûÀ» ´ÙÇÏ¿© ÃãÀ» Ãߴµ¥ ¶§¿¡ º£ ¿¡º¿À» ÀÔ¾ú´õ¶ó
6:14 And David, clothed in a linen ephod, was dancing before the Lord with all his strength.
6:14 And David danced before the LORD with all his might; and David was girded with a linen ephod.

6:15 ´ÙÀ­°ú ¿Â À̽º¶ó¿¤ Á·¼ÓÀÌ Áñ°ÅÀÌ ºÎ¸£¸ç ³ªÆÈÀ» ºÒ°í ¿©È£¿ÍÀÇ ±Ë¸¦ ¸Þ¾î ¿À´Ï¶ó
6:15 So David and all the men of Israel took up the ark of the Lord with cries of joy and sounding of horns.
6:15 So David and all the house of Israel brought up the ark of the LORD with shouting, and with the sound of the trumpet.

6:16 ¡Û ¿©È£¿ÍÀÇ ±Ë°¡ ´ÙÀ­ ¼ºÀ¸·Î µé¾î¿Ã ¶§¿¡ »ç¿ïÀÇ µþ ¹Ì°¥ÀÌ Ã¢À¸·Î ³»´Ùº¸´Ù°¡ ´ÙÀ­ ¿ÕÀÌ ¿©È£¿Í ¾Õ¿¡¼­ ¶Ù³î¸ç ÃãÃß´Â °ÍÀ» º¸°í ½ÉÁß¿¡ Àú¸¦ ¾÷½Å¿©±â´Ï¶ó
6:16 And when the ark of the Lord came into the town of David, Michal, Saul's daughter, looking out of the window, saw King David dancing and jumping before the Lord; and to her mind he seemed foolish.
6:16 And as the ark of the LORD came into the city of David, Michal Saul's daughter looked through a window, and saw king David leaping and dancing before the LORD; and she despised him in her heart.

6:17 ¿©È£¿ÍÀÇ ±Ë¸¦ ¸Þ°í µé¾î°¡¼­ ´ÙÀ­ÀÌ À§ÇÏ¿© Ä£ À帷 °¡¿îµ¥ ±× ¿¹ºñÇÑ ÀÚ¸®¿¡ µÎ¸Å ´ÙÀ­ÀÌ ¹øÁ¦¿Í È­¸ñÁ¦¸¦ ¿©È£¿Í ¾Õ¿¡ µå¸®´Ï¶ó
6:17 And they took in the ark of the Lord, and put it in its place inside the tent which David had put up for it: and David made burned offerings and peace-offerings to the Lord.
6:17 And they brought in the ark of the LORD, and set it in his place, in the midst of the tabernacle that David had pitched for it: and David offered burnt offerings and peace offerings before the LORD.

6:18 ´ÙÀ­ÀÌ ¹øÁ¦¿Í È­¸ñÁ¦ µå¸®±â¸¦ ¸¶Ä¡°í ¸¸±ºÀÇ ¿©È£¿ÍÀÇ À̸§À¸·Î ¹é¼º¿¡°Ô ÃູÇÏ°í
6:18 And after David had made the burned offerings and the peace-offerings, he gave the people a blessing in the name of the Lord of armies.
6:18 And as soon as David had made an end of offering burnt offerings and peace offerings, he blessed the people in the name of the LORD of hosts.

6:19 ¸ðµç ¹é¼º °ð ¿Â À̽º¶ó¿¤ ¹«¸®ÀÇ ¹«·Ð ³²³àÇÏ°í ¶± ÇÑ °³¿Í °í±â ÇÑ Á¶°¢°ú °ÇÆ÷µµ ¶± ÇÑ µ¢À̾¿ ³ª´² ÁָŠ¸ðµç ¹é¼ºÀÌ °¢±â ÁýÀ¸·Î µ¹¾Æ°¡´Ï¶ó
6:19 And he gave to every man and woman among all the people, among all the masses of Israel, a cake of bread and a measure of wine and a cake of dry grapes. Then all the people went away, every man to his house.
6:19 And he dealt among all the people, even among the whole multitude of Israel, as well to the women as men, to every one a cake of bread, and a good piece of flesh, and a flagon of wine. So all the people departed every one to his house.

6:20 ¡Û ´ÙÀ­ÀÌ ÀÚ±âÀÇ °¡Á·¿¡°Ô ÃູÇÏ·¯ µ¹¾Æ¿À¸Å »ç¿ïÀÇ µþ ¹Ì°¥ÀÌ ³ª¿Í¼­ ´ÙÀ­À» ¸ÂÀ¸¸ç °¡·ÎµÇ À̽º¶ó¿¤ ¿ÕÀÌ ¿À´Ã³¯ ¾î¶»°Ô ¿µÈ­·Î¿ì½ÅÁö ¹æÅÁÇÑ ÀÚ°¡ ¿°Ä¡ ¾øÀÌ ÀÚ±âÀÇ ¸öÀ» µå·¯³»´Â °Íó·³ ¿À´Ã³¯ ±× ½Åº¹ÀÇ °èÁýÁ¾ÀÇ ´« ¾Õ¿¡¼­ ¸öÀ» µå·¯³»¼Ìµµ´Ù
6:20 Then David came back to give a blessing to his family. And Michal, Saul's daughter, came out to him and said, How full of glory was the king of Israel today, who let himself be seen uncovered by his servant-girls like a foolish person uncovering himself without shame!
6:20 Then David returned to bless his household. And Michal the daughter of Saul came out to meet David, and said, How glorious was the king of Israel to day, who uncovered himself to day in the eyes of the handmaids of his servants, as one of the vain fellows shamelessly uncovers himself!

6:21 ´ÙÀ­ÀÌ ¹Ì°¥¿¡°Ô À̸£µÇ ÀÌ´Â ¿©È£¿Í ¾Õ¿¡¼­ ÇÑ °ÍÀ̴϶ó Àú°¡ ³× ¾Æºñ¿Í ±× ¿Â ÁýÀ» ¹ö¸®½Ã°í ³ª¸¦ ÅÃÇÏ»ç ³ª·Î ¿©È£¿ÍÀÇ ¹é¼º À̽º¶ó¿¤ÀÇ ÁÖ±ÇÀÚ¸¦ »ïÀ¸¼ÌÀ¸´Ï ³»°¡ ¿©È£¿Í ¾Õ¿¡¼­ ¶Ù³î¸®¶ó
6:21 And David said to Michal, I was dancing before the Lord, who put me over your father and all his sons, to make me a ruler over the people of the Lord, over his people Israel: and I will go on playing before the Lord;
6:21 And David said unto Michal, It was before the LORD, which chose me before your father, and before all his house, to appoint me ruler over the people of the LORD, over Israel: therefore will I play before the LORD.

6:22 ³»°¡ À̺¸´Ù ´õ ³·¾ÆÁ®¼­ ½º½º·Î õÇÏ°Ô º¸ÀÏÁö¶óµµ ³×°¡ ¸»ÇÑ ¹Ù °èÁýÁ¾¿¡°Ô´Â ³»°¡ ³ôÀÓÀ» ¹ÞÀ¸¸®¶ó ÇÑÁö¶ó
6:22 And I will do even worse than this, and make myself even lower in your eyes: but the servant-girls of whom you were talking will give me honour.
6:22 And I will yet be more vile than thus, and will be base in mine own sight: and of the maidservants which you have spoken of, of them shall I be had in honour.

6:23 And Michal, Saul's daughter, had no child till the day of her death.
6:23 Therefore Michal the daughter of Saul had no child unto the day of her death.

7:1 ¿©È£¿Í²²¼­ »ç¹æÀÇ ¸ðµç ´ëÀûÀ» ÆÄÇÏ»ç ¿ÕÀ¸·Î ±Ã¿¡ Æò¾ÈÈ÷ °ÅÇÏ°Ô ÇϽŠ¶§¿¡
7:1 Now when the king was living in his house, and the Lord had given him rest from war on every side;
7:1 And it came to pass, when the king sat in his house, and the LORD had given him rest round about from all his enemies;

7:2 ¿ÕÀÌ ¼±ÁöÀÚ ³ª´Ü¿¡°Ô À̸£µÇ º¼Áö¾î´Ù ³ª´Â ¹éÇâ¸ñ ±Ã¿¡ °ÅÇÏ°Å´Ã Çϳª´ÔÀÇ ±Ë´Â ÈÖÀå °¡¿îµ¥ ÀÖµµ´Ù
7:2 The king said to Nathan the prophet, See now, I am living in a house of cedar, but the ark of God is housed inside the curtains of a tent.
7:2 That the king said unto Nathan the prophet, See now, I dwell in an house of cedar, but the ark of God dwells within curtains.

7:3 ³ª´ÜÀÌ ¿Õ²² °íÇ쵂 ¿©È£¿Í²²¼­ ¿Õ°ú ÇÔ²² °è½Ã´Ï ¹«¸© ¸¶À½¿¡ ÀÖ´Â ¹Ù¸¦ ÇàÇϼҼ­
7:3 And Nathan said to the king, Go and do whatever is in your heart; for the Lord is with you.
7:3 And Nathan said to the king, Go, do all that is in yours heart; for the LORD is with you.

7:4 ±× ¹ã¿¡ ¿©È£¿ÍÀÇ ¸»¾¸ÀÌ ³ª´Ü¿¡°Ô ÀÓÇÏ¿© °¡¶ó»ç´ë
7:4 Now that night the word of the Lord came to Nathan, saying,
7:4 And it came to pass that night, that the word of the LORD came unto Nathan, saying,

7:5 °¡¼­ ³» Á¾ ´ÙÀ­¿¡°Ô ¸»Çϱ⸦ ¿©È£¿ÍÀÇ ¸»¾¸ÀÌ ³×°¡ ³ª¸¦ À§ÇÏ¿© ³ªÀÇ °ÅÇÒ ÁýÀ» °ÇÃàÇÏ°Ú´À³Ä
7:5 Go and say to my servant David, The Lord says, Are you to be the builder of a house, a living-place for me?
7:5 Go and tell my servant David, Thus says the LORD, Shall you build me an house for me to dwell in?

7:6 ³»°¡ À̽º¶ó¿¤ ÀÚ¼ÕÀ» ¾Ö±Á¿¡¼­ ÀεµÇÏ¿© ³»´ø ³¯ºÎÅÍ ¿À´Ã³¯±îÁö Áý¿¡ °ÅÇÏÁö ¾Æ´ÏÇÏ°í À帷°ú ȸ¸·¿¡ °ÅÇϸç ÇàÇÏ¿´³ª´Ï
7:6 For from the day when I took the children of Israel up out of Egypt till this day, I have had no house, but have gone from place to place in a tent.
7:6 Whereas I have not dwelt in any house since the time that I brought up the children of Israel out of Egypt, even to this day, but have walked in a tent and in a tabernacle.

7:7 ¹«¸© À̽º¶ó¿¤ ÀÚ¼ÕÀ¸·Î ´õºÒ¾î ÇàÇÏ´Â °÷¿¡¼­ ³»°¡ ³» ¹é¼º À̽º¶ó¿¤À» ¸ÔÀ̶ó°í ¸íÇÑ À̽º¶ó¿¤ ¾î´À ÁöÆÄ¿¡°Ô ³»°¡ ¸»Çϱ⸦ ³ÊÈñ°¡ ¾îÂîÇÏ¿© ³ª¸¦ À§ÇÏ¿© ¹éÇâ¸ñ ÁýÀ» °ÇÃàÇÏÁö ¾Æ´ÏÇÏ¿´´À³Ä°í ¸»ÇÏ¿´´À³Ä
7:7 In all the places where I went with all the children of Israel, did I ever say to any of the judges of Israel, to whom I gave the care of my people Israel, Why have you not made me a house of cedar?
7:7 In all the places wherein I have walked with all the children of Israel spoke I a word with any of the tribes of Israel, whom I commanded to feed my people Israel, saying, Why build all of you not me an house of cedar?

7:8 ±×·¯¹Ç·Î ÀÌÁ¦ ³» Á¾ ´ÙÀ­¿¡°Ô ÀÌó·³ ¸»ÇÏ¶ó ¸¸±ºÀÇ ¿©È£¿Í²²¼­ ÀÌó·³ ¸»¾¸ÇϽñ⸦ ³»°¡ ³Ê¸¦ ¸ñÀå °ð ¾çÀ» µû¸£´Â µ¥¼­ ÃëÇÏ¿© ³» ¹é¼º À̽º¶ó¿¤ÀÇ ÁÖ±ÇÀÚ¸¦ »ï°í
7:8 Then say these words to my servant David, The Lord of armies says, I took you from the fields, from keeping the sheep, so that you might be a ruler over my people, over my people Israel:
7:8 Now therefore so shall you say unto my servant David, Thus says the LORD of hosts, I took you from the sheepcote, from following the sheep, to be ruler over my people, over Israel:

7:9 ³×°¡ ¾îµð¸¦ °¡µçÁö ³»°¡ ³Ê¿Í ÇÔ²² ÀÖ¾î ³× ¸ðµç ´ëÀûÀ» ³× ¾Õ¿¡¼­ ¸êÇÏ¿´ÀºÁï ¼¼»ó¿¡¼­ Á¸±ÍÇÑ ÀÚÀÇ À̸§ °°ÀÌ ³× À̸§À» Á¸±ÍÄÉ ¸¸µé¾î ÁÖ¸®¶ó
7:9 And I have been with you wherever you went, cutting off before you all those who were against you; and I will make your name great, like the name of the greatest ones of the earth.
7:9 And I was with you anywhere you went, and have cut off all yours enemies out of your sight, and have made you a great name, like unto the name of the great men that are in the earth.

7:10 ³»°¡ ¶Ç ³» ¹é¼º À̽º¶ó¿¤À» À§ÇÏ¿© ÇÑ °÷À» Á¤ÇÏ¿© ÀúÈñ¸¦ ½É°í ÀúÈñ·Î Àڱ⠰÷¿¡ °ÅÇÏ¿© ´Ù½Ã ¿Å±âÁö ¾Ê°Ô ÇÏ¸ç ¾ÇÇÑ À¯·Î Àü°ú °°ÀÌ ÀúÈñ¸¦ ÇØÇÏÁö ¸øÇÏ°Ô ÇÏ¿©
7:10 And I will make a resting-place for my people Israel, planting them there, so that they may be living in the place which is theirs, and never again be moved; and never again will they be troubled by evil men as they were at the first,
7:10 Moreover I will appoint a place for my people Israel, and will plant them, that they may dwell in a place of their own, and move no more; neither shall the children of wickedness afflict them any more, as in time past,

7:11 Àü¿¡ ³»°¡ »ç»ç¸¦ ¸íÇÏ¿© ³» ¹é¼º À̽º¶ó¿¤À» ´Ù½º¸®´ø ¶§¿Í °°Áö ¾Ê°Ô ÇÏ°í ³Ê¸¦ ¸ðµç ´ëÀû¿¡°Ô¼­ ¹þ¾î³ª Æò¾ÈÄÉ Çϸ®¶ó ¿©È£¿Í°¡ ¶Ç ³×°Ô À̸£³ë´Ï ¿©È£¿Í°¡ ³Ê¸¦ À§ÇÏ¿© ÁýÀ» ÀÌ·ç°í
7:11 From the time when I put judges over my people Israel; and I will give you peace from all who are against you. And the Lord says to you that he will make you the head of a line of kings.
7:11 And as since the time that I commanded judges to be over my people Israel, and have caused you to rest from all yours enemies. Also the LORD tells you that he will make you an house.

7:12 And when the time comes for you to go to rest with your fathers, I will put in your place your seed after you, the offspring of your body, and I will make his kingdom strong.
7:12 And when your days be fulfilled, and you shall sleep with your fathers, I will set up your seed after you, which shall proceed out of your bowels, and I will establish his kingdom.

7:13 He will be the builder of a house for my name, and I will make the seat of his authority certain for ever.
7:13 He shall build an house for my name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom for ever.

7:14 ³ª´Â ±× ¾Æºñ°¡ µÇ°í ±×´Â ³» ¾ÆµéÀÌ µÇ¸®´Ï Àú°¡ ¸¸ÀÏ Á˸¦ ¹üÇÏ¸é ³»°¡ »ç¶÷ ¸·´ë±â¿Í Àλý äÂïÀ¸·Î ¡°èÇÏ·Á´Ï¿Í
7:14 I will be to him a father and he will be to me a son: if he does wrong, I will give him punishment with the rod of men and with the blows of the children of men;
7:14 I will be his father, and he shall be my son. If he commit iniquity, I will chasten him with the rod of men, and with the stripes of the children of men:

7:15 But my mercy will not be taken away from him, as I took it from him who was before you.
7:15 But my mercy shall not depart away from him, as I took it from Saul, whom I put away before you.

7:16 And your family and your kingdom will keep their place before me for ever: the seat of your authority will never be overturned.
7:16 And yours house and your kingdom shall be established for ever before you: your throne shall be established for ever.

7:17 ³ª´ÜÀÌ ÀÌ ¸ðµç ¸»¾¸°ú ÀÌ ¸ðµç ¹¬½Ã´ë·Î ´ÙÀ­¿¡°Ô °íÇϴ϶ó
7:17 So Nathan gave David an account of all these words and this vision.
7:17 According to all these words, and according to all this vision, so did Nathan speak unto David.

7:18 Then David the king went in and took his seat before the Lord, and said, Who am I, O Lord God, and what is my family, that you have been my guide till now?
7:18 Then went king David in, and sat before the LORD, and he said, Who am I, O Lord GOD? and what is my house, that you have brought me until now?

7:19 And this was only a small thing to you, O Lord God; but your words have even been about the far-off future of your servant's family, O Lord God!
7:19 And this was yet a small thing in your sight, O Lord GOD; but you have spoken also of your servant's house for a great while to come. And is this the manner of man, O Lord GOD?

7:20 ÁÖ ¿©È£¿Í´Â Á¾À» ¾Æ½Ã¿À´Ï ´ÙÀ­ÀÌ ´Ù½Ã ÁÖ²² ¹«½¼ ¸»¾¸À» ÇÏ¿À¸®À̱î
7:20 What more may David say to you? for you have knowledge of your servant, O Lord God.
7:20 And what can David say more unto you? for you, Lord GOD, know your servant.

7:21 Because of your word and from your heart, you have done all this great work, and let your servant see it.
7:21 For your word's sake, and according to yours own heart, have you done all these great things, to make your servant know them.

7:22 Truly you are great, O Lord God: there is no one like you and no other God but you, as is clear from everything which has come to our ears.
7:22 Wherefore you are great, O LORD God: for there is none like you, neither is there any God beside you, according to all that we have heard with our ears.

7:23 And what other nation in the earth, like your people Israel, did a god go out to take for himself, to be his people, and to make a name for himself, and to do great and strange things for them, driving out a nation and its gods from before his people?
7:23 And what one nation in the earth is like your people, even like Israel, whom God went to redeem for a people to himself, and to make him a name, and to do for you great things and terrible, for your land, before your people, which you redeemed to you from Egypt, from the nations and their gods?

7:24 ÁÖ²²¼­ ÁÖÀÇ ¹é¼º À̽º¶ó¿¤À» ¼¼¿ì»ç ¿µ¿øÈ÷ ÁÖÀÇ ¹é¼ºÀ» »ïÀ¸¼Ì»ç¿À´Ï ¿©È£¿Í¿© ÁÖ²²¼­ ÀúÈñ Çϳª´ÔÀÌ µÇ¼Ì³ªÀÌ´Ù
7:24 But you took and made strong for yourself your people Israel, to be your people for ever; and you, Lord, became their God.
7:24 For you have confirmed to yourself your people Israel to be a people unto you for ever: and you, LORD, are become their God.

7:25 And now, O Lord God, may the word which you have said about your servant and about his family, be made certain for ever, and may you do as you have said!
7:25 And now, O LORD God, the word that you have spoken concerning your servant, and concerning his house, establish it for ever, and do as you have said.

7:26 And let your name be made great for ever, and let men say, The Lord of armies is God over Israel: and let the family of David your servant be made strong before you!
7:26 And let your name be magnified for ever, saying, The LORD of hosts is the God over Israel: and let the house of your servant David be established before you.

7:27 For you, O Lord of armies, the God of Israel, have clearly said to your servant, I will make you the head of a family of kings: and so it has come into your servant's heart to make this prayer to you.
7:27 For you, O LORD of hosts, God of Israel, have revealed to your servant, saying, I will build you an house: therefore has your servant found in his heart to pray this prayer unto you.

7:28 And now, O Lord God, you are God and your words are true and you have said you will give your servant this good thing;
7:28 And now, O Lord GOD, you are that God, and your words be true, and you have promised this goodness unto your servant:

7:29 So may it be your pleasure to give your blessing to the family of your servant, so that it may go on for ever before you: (for you, O Lord God, have said it,) and may your blessing be on your servant's family line for ever!
7:29 Therefore now let it please you to bless the house of your servant, that it may continue for ever before you: for you, O Lord GOD, have spoken it: and with your blessing let the house of your servant be blessed for ever.

8:1 And it came about after this that David made an attack on the Philistines and overcame them; and David took the authority of the mother-town from the hands of the Philistines.
8:1 And after this it came to pass that David stroke the Philistines, and subdued them: and David took Methegammah out of the hand of the Philistines.

8:2 ¡Û ´ÙÀ­ÀÌ ¶Ç ¸ð¾ÐÀ» Ãļ­ ÀúÈñ·Î ¶¥¿¡ ¾þµå¸®°Ô ÇÏ°í ÁÙ·Î Àç¾î ±× µÎ ÁÙ ±æÀÌÀÇ »ç¶÷Àº Á×ÀÌ°í ÇÑ ÁÙ ±æÀÌÀÇ »ç¶÷Àº »ì¸®´Ï ¸ð¾Ð »ç¶÷ÀÌ ´ÙÀ­ÀÇ Á¾ÀÌ µÇ¾î Á¶°øÀ» ¹ÙÄ¡´Ï¶ó
8:2 And he overcame the Moabites, and he had them measured with a line when they were stretched out on the earth; marking out two lines for death and one full line for life. So the Moabites became servants to David and gave him offerings.
8:2 And he stroke Moab, and measured them with a line, casting them down to the ground; even with two lines measured he to put to death, and with one full line to keep alive. And so the Moabites became David's servants, and brought gifts.

8:3 ¡Û ¸£ÈíÀÇ ¾Æµé ¼Ò¹Ù ¿Õ ÇÏ´å¿¡¼¿ÀÌ Àڱ⠱Ǽ¼¸¦ ȸº¹ÇÏ·Á°í À¯ºê¶óµ¥ °­À¸·Î °¥ ¶§¿¡ ´ÙÀ­ÀÌ Àú¸¦ Ãļ­
8:3 And David overcame Hadadezer, the son of Rehob, king of Zobah, when he went to make his power seen by the River.
8:3 David stroke also Hadadezer, the son of Rehob, king of Zobah, as he went to recover his border at the river Euphrates.

8:4 ±× ¸¶º´ ÀÏõ Ä¥¹é°ú º¸º´ À̸¸À» »ç·ÎÀâ°í º´°Å ÀÏ¹é ½ÂÀÇ ¸»¸¸ ³²±â°í ±× ¿ÜÀÇ º´°ÅÀÇ ¸»Àº ´Ù ¹ßÀÇ ÈûÁÙÀ» ²÷¾ú´õ´Ï
8:4 And David took from him one thousand, seven hundred horsemen and twenty thousand footmen: and David had the leg-muscles of the horses cut, only keeping enough of them for a hundred war-carriages.
8:4 And David took from him a thousand chariots, and seven hundred horsemen, and twenty thousand footmen: and David cut the hamstrings of all the chariot horses, but reserved of them for an hundred chariots.

8:5 ´Ù¸Þ¼½ ¾Æ¶÷ »ç¶÷µéÀÌ ¼Ò¹Ù ¿Õ ÇÏ´å¿¡¼¿À» µµ¿ì·¯ ¿ÂÁö¶ó ´ÙÀ­ÀÌ ¾Æ¶÷ »ç¶÷ À̸¸ ÀÌõÀ» Á×ÀÌ°í
8:5 And when the Aramaeans of Damascus came to the help of Hadadezer, king of Zobah, David put to the sword twenty-two thousand of the Aramaeans.
8:5 And when the Syrians of Damascus came to help Hadadezer king of Zobah, David slew of the Syrians two and twenty thousand men.

8:6 ´Ù¸Þ¼½ ¾Æ¶÷¿¡ ¼öºñ´ë¸¦ µÎ¸Å ¾Æ¶÷ »ç¶÷ÀÌ ´ÙÀ­ÀÇ Á¾ÀÌ µÇ¾î Á¶°øÀ» ¹ÙÄ¡´Ï¶ó ´ÙÀ­ÀÌ ¾îµð¸¦ °¡µçÁö ¿©È£¿Í²²¼­ À̱â°Ô ÇϽô϶ó
8:6 And David put armed forces in Aram of Damascus: and the Aramaeans became servants to David and gave him offerings. And the Lord made David overcome wherever he went.
8:6 Then David put garrisons in Syria of Damascus: and the Syrians became servants to David, and brought gifts. And the LORD preserved David anywhere he went.

8:7 ´ÙÀ­ÀÌ ÇÏ´å¿¡¼¿ÀÇ ½Åº¹µéÀÇ °¡Áø ±Ý ¹æÆи¦ »©¾Ñ¾Æ ¿¹·ç»ì·½À¸·Î °¡Á®¿À°í
8:7 And David took their gold body-covers from the servants of Hadadezer and took them to Jerusalem.
8:7 And David took the shields of gold that were on the servants of Hadadezer, and brought them to Jerusalem.

8:8 ¶Ç ÇÏ´å¿¡¼¿ÀÇ °íÀ» º£´Ù¿Í º£·Î´ë¿¡¼­ ¸Å¿ì ¸¹Àº ³òÀ» »©¾ÑÀ¸´Ï¶ó
8:8 And from Tebah and Berothai, towns of Hadadezer, King David took a great store of brass.
8:8 And from Betah, and from Berothai, cities of Hadadezer, king David took exceeding much brass.

8:9 ¡Û ÇϸÀ ¿Õ µµÀÌ°¡ ´ÙÀ­ÀÌ ÇÏ´å¿¡¼¿ÀÇ ¿Â ±º´ë¸¦ Ãļ­ ÆÄÇÏ¿´´Ù ÇÔÀ» µè°í
8:9 And when Tou, king of Hamath, had news that David had overcome all the army of Hadadezer,
8:9 When Toi king of Hamath heard that David had smitten all the host of Hadadezer,

8:10 ±× ¾Æµé ¿ä¶÷À» º¸³»¾î ´ÙÀ­ ¿Õ¿¡°Ô ¹®¾ÈÇÏ°í ÃູÇÏ°Ô ÇÏ´Ï ÀÌ´Â ÇÏ´å¿¡¼¿ÀÌ µµÀÌ·Î ´õºÒ¾î ÀüÀïÀÌ ÀÖ´ø ÅÍ¿¡ ´ÙÀ­ÀÌ ÇÏ´å¿¡¼¿À» Ãļ­ ÆÄÇÔÀ̶ó ¿ä¶÷ÀÌ Àº ±×¸©°ú ±Ý ±×¸©°ú ³ò ±×¸©À» °¡Áö°í ¿ÂÁö¶ó
8:10 He sent his son Hadoram to David, with words of peace and blessing, because he had overcome Hadadezer in the fight, for Hadadezer had wars with Tou; and Hadoram took with him vessels of silver and gold and brass:
8:10 Then Toi sent Joram his son unto king David, to salute him, and to bless him, because he had fought against Hadadezer, and smitten him: for Hadadezer had wars with Toi. And Joram brought with him vessels of silver, and vessels of gold, and vessels of brass:

8:11 ´ÙÀ­ ¿ÕÀÌ ±×°Íµµ ¿©È£¿Í²² µå¸®µÇ Àú°¡ Á¤º¹ÇÑ ¸ðµç ³ª¶ó¿¡¼­ ¾òÀº Àº±Ý
8:11 These King David made holy to the Lord, together with the silver and gold which he had taken from the nations he had overcome--
8:11 Which also king David did dedicate unto the LORD, with the silver and gold that he had dedicated of all nations which he subdued;

8:12 °ð ¾Æ¶÷°ú ¸ð¾Ð°ú ¾Ï¸ó ÀÚ¼Õ°ú ºí·¹¼Â »ç¶÷°ú ¾Æ¸»·º¿¡°Ô¼­ ¾òÀº °Íµé°ú ¼Ò¹Ù ¿Õ ¸£È©ÀÇ ¾Æµé ÇÏ´å¿¡¼¿¿¡°Ô¼­ ³ë·«ÇÑ °Í°ú °°ÀÌ µå¸®´Ï¶ó
8:12 The nations of Edom and Moab, and the children of Ammon and the Philistines and the Amalekites and the goods he had taken from Hadadezer, the son of Rehob, king of Zobah.
8:12 Of Syria, and of Moab, and of the children of Ammon, and of the Philistines, and of Amalek, and of the spoil of Hadadezer, son of Rehob, king of Zobah.

8:13 ¡Û ´ÙÀ­ÀÌ ¿°°î¿¡¼­ ¿¡µ¼ »ç¶÷ Àϸ¸ ÆÈõÀ» ÃÄÁ×ÀÌ°í µ¹¾Æ¿Í¼­ ¸í¿¹¸¦ ¾òÀ¸´Ï¶ó
8:13 And David got great honour for himself, when he came back, by the destruction of Edom in the valley of Salt, to the number of eighteen thousand men.
8:13 And David got him a name when he returned from smiting of the Syrians in the valley of salt, being eighteen thousand men.

8:14 ´ÙÀ­ÀÌ ¿¡µ¼¿¡ ¼öºñ´ë¸¦ µÎµÇ ¿Â ¿¡µ¼¿¡ ¼öºñ´ë¸¦ µÎ´Ï ¿¡µ¼ »ç¶÷ÀÌ ´Ù ´ÙÀ­ÀÇ Á¾ÀÌ µÇ´Ï¶ó ´ÙÀ­ÀÌ ¾îµð¸¦ °¡µçÁö ¿©È£¿Í²²¼­ À̱â°Ô Çϼ̴õ¶ó
8:14 And he put armed forces in Edom; all through Edom he had armed forces stationed, and all the Edomites became servants to David. And the Lord made David overcome wherever he went.
8:14 And he put garrisons in Edom; throughout all Edom put he garrisons, and all they of Edom became David's servants. And the LORD preserved David anywhere he went.

8:15 And David was king over all Israel, judging and giving right decisions for all his people.
8:15 And David reigned over all Israel; and David executed judgment and justice unto all his people.

8:16 And Joab the son of Zeruiah was over the host; and Jehoshaphat the son of Ahilud was recorder;

8:17 ¾ÆÈ÷µÓÀÇ ¾Æµé »çµ¶°ú ¾Æºñ¾Æ´ÞÀÇ ¾Æµé ¾ÆÈ÷¸á·ºÀº Á¦»çÀåÀÌ µÇ°í ½º¶ó¾ß´Â ¼­±â°üÀÌ µÇ°í
8:17 And Zadok and Abiathar, the son of Ahimelech, the son of Ahitub, were priests; and Seraiah was the scribe;
8:17 And Zadok the son of Ahitub, and Ahimelech the son of Abiathar, were the priests; and Seraiah was the scribe;

8:18 And Benaiah, the son of Jehoiada, was over the Cherethites and the Pelethites; and David's sons were priests.
8:18 And Benaiah the son of Jehoiada was over both the Cherethites and the Pelethites; and David's sons were chief rulers.
