1:1 우리 중에 이루어진 사실에 대하여
1:1 As a number of attempts have been made to put together in order an account of those
events which took place among us,
1:1 Forasmuch as many have taken in hand to set forth in order a declaration
of those things which are most surely believed among us,
1:2 처음부터 말씀의 목격자 되고 일군 된 자들의 전하여 준 그대로 내력을 저술하려고
붓을 든 사람이 많은지라
1:2 As they were handed down to us by those who saw them from the first and were preachers
of the word,
1:2 Even as they delivered them unto us, which from the beginning were eyewitnesses,
and ministers of the word; (o. logos)
1:3 그 모든 일을 근원부터 자세히 미루어 살핀 나도 데오빌로 각하에게 차례대로
써 보내는 것이 좋은 줄 알았노니
1:3 It seemed good to me, having made observation, with great care, of the direction
of events in their order, to put the facts in writing for you, most noble Theophilus;
1:3 It seemed good to me also, having had perfect understanding of all things
from the very first, to write unto you in order, most excellent Theophilus,
1:4 이는 각하로 그 배운 바의 확실함을 알게 하려 함이로다
1:4 So that you might have certain knowledge of those things about which you were given
teaching.
1:4 That you might know the certainty of those things, (o. logos) wherein
you have been instructed.
1:5 유대 왕 헤롯 때에 아비야 반열에 제사장 하나가 있으니 이름은 사가랴요
그 아내는 아론의 자손이니 이름은 엘리사벳이라
1:5 In the days of Herod, king of Judaea, there was a certain priest, by name Zacharias,
of the order of Abijah; and he had a wife of the family of Aaron, and her name was
Elisabeth.
1:5 THERE was in the days of Herod, the king of Judaea, a certain priest
named Zacharias, of the course of Abia: and his wife was of the daughters of
Aaron, and her name was Elisabeth.
1:6 이 두 사람이 하나님 앞에 의인이니 주의 모든 계명과 규례대로 흠이 없이
행하더라
1:6 They were upright in the eyes of God, keeping all the rules and orders of God, and
doing no wrong.
1:6 And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments
and ordinances of the Lord blameless.
1:7 엘리사벳이 수태를 못하므로 저희가 무자하고 두 사람의 나이 많더라
1:7 And they were without children, because Elisabeth had never given birth, and they
were at that time very old.
1:7 And they had no child, because that Elisabeth was barren, and they both
were now well stricken in years.
1:8 ○ 마침 사가랴가 그 반열의 차례대로 제사장의 직무를 하나님 앞에 행할새
1:8 Now it came about that in his turn he was acting as priest before God,
1:8 And it came to pass, that while he executed the priest's office before
God in the order of his course,
1:9 제사장의 전례를 따라 제비를 뽑아 주의 성소에 들어가 분향하고
1:9 And as was the way of the priests, he had to go into the Temple to see to the burning
of perfumes.
1:9 According to the custom of the priest's office, his lot was to burn incense
when he went into the temple of the Lord.
1:10 모든 백성은 그 분향하는 시간에 밖에서 기도하더니
1:10 And all the people were offering prayers outside, at the time of the burning of
perfumes.
1:10 And the whole multitude of the people were praying without at the time
of incense.
1:11 주의 사자가 저에게 나타나 향단 우편에 선지라
1:11 And he saw an angel of the Lord in his place on the right side of the altar.
1:11 And there appeared unto him an angel of the Lord standing on the right
side of the altar of incense.
1:12 사가랴가 보고 놀라며 무서워하니
1:12 And Zacharias was troubled when he saw him, and fear came on him.
1:12 And when Zacharias saw him, he was troubled, and fear fell upon him.
1:13 천사가 일러 가로되 사가랴여 무서워 말라 너의 간구함이 들린지라 네 아내
엘리사벳이 네게 아들을 낳아 주리니 그 이름을 요한이라 하라
1:13 But the angel said, Have no fear, Zacharias, for your prayer has come to the ears
of God, and your wife Elisabeth will have a son, and his name will be John.
1:13 But the angel said unto him, Fear not, Zacharias: for your prayer is
heard; and your wife Elisabeth shall bear you a son, and you shall call his
name John.
1:14 너도 기뻐하고 즐거워할 것이요 많은 사람도 그의 남을 기뻐하리니
1:14 And you will be glad and have great delight; and numbers of people will have joy
at his birth.
1:14 And you shall have joy and gladness; and many shall rejoice at his birth.
1:15 이는 저가 주 앞에 큰 자가 되며 포도주나 소주를 마시지 아니하며 모태로부터
성령의 충만함을 입어
1:15 For he will be great in the eyes of the Lord; he will not take wine or strong drink;
and he will be full of the Spirit of God from his birth.
1:15 For he shall be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall drink neither
wine nor strong drink; and he shall be filled with the Holy Spirit, (o. pneuma)
even from his mother's womb.
1:16 이스라엘 자손을 주 곧 저희 하나님께로 많이 돌아오게 하겠음이니라
1:16 And through him great numbers of the children of Israel will be turned to the Lord
their God.
1:16 And many of the children of Israel shall he turn to the Lord their God.
1:17 저가 또 엘리야의 심령과 능력으로 주 앞에 앞서 가서 아비의 마음을 자식에게,
거스리는 자를 의인의 슬기에 돌아오게 하고 주를 위하여 세운 백성을 예비하리라
1:17 And he will go before his face in the spirit and power of Elijah, turning the hearts
of fathers to their children, and wrongdoers to the way of righteousness; to make
ready a people whose hearts have been turned to the Lord.
1:17 And he shall go before him in the spirit (o. pneuma) and power of Elijah,
to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the
wisdom of the just; to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.
1:18 사가랴가 천사에게 이르되 내가 이것을 어떻게 알리요 내가 늙고 아내도
나이 많으니이다
1:18 And Zacharias said to the angel, How may I be certain of this? For I am an old man,
and my wife is far on in years.
1:18 And Zacharias said unto the angel, Whereby shall I know this? for I
am an old man, and my wife well stricken in years.
1:19 천사가 대답하여 가로되 나는 하나님 앞에 섰는 가브리엘이라 이 좋은 소식을
전하여 네게 말하라고 보내심을 입었노라
1:19 And the angel, answering, said, I am Gabriel, whose place is before God; I have
been sent to say these words to you and to give you this good news.
1:19 And the angel answering said unto him, I am Gabriel, that stand in the
presence of God; and am sent to speak unto you, and to show you these glad tidings.
1:20 보라 이 일의 되는 날까지 네가 벙어리가 되어 능히 말을 못하리니 이는
내 말을 네가 믿지 아니함이어니와 때가 이르면 내 말이 이루리라 하더라
1:20 Now, see, you will be without voice or language till the day when these things come
about, because you had not faith in my words, which will have effect at the right
time.
1:20 And, behold, you shall be dumb, and not able to speak, until the day
that these things shall be performed, because you believe not my words, (o.
logos) which shall be fulfilled in their season.
1:21 백성들이 사가랴를 기다리며 그의 성소 안에서 지체함을 기이히 여기더니
1:21 And the people were waiting for Zacharias and were surprised because he was in the
Temple for such a long time.
1:21 And the people waited for Zacharias, and marvelled that he tarried so
long in the temple.
1:22 그가 나와서 저희에게 말을 못하니 백성들이 그 성소 안에서 이상을 본 줄
알았더라 그가 형용으로 뜻을 표시하며 그냥 벙어리대로 있더니
1:22 And when he came out he was not able to say anything, and they saw that he had seen
a vision in the Temple; and he was making signs to them without words.
1:22 And when he came out, he could not speak unto them: and they perceived
that he had seen a vision in the temple: for he beckoned unto them, and remained
speechless.
1:23 그 직무의 날이 다 되매 집으로 돌아가니라
1:23 And when the days of his work in the Temple were ended, he went back to his house.
1:23 And it came to pass, that, as soon as the days of his ministration were
accomplished, he departed to his own house.
1:24 ○ 이 후에 그 아내 엘리사벳이 수태하고 다섯 달 동안 숨어 있으며 가로되
1:24 After that time, Elisabeth, being certain that she was to become a mother, kept
herself from men's eyes for five months, saying,
1:24 And after those days his wife Elisabeth conceived, and hid herself five
months, saying,
1:25 주께서 나를 돌아 보시는 날에 인간에 내 부끄러움을 없게 하시려고 이렇게
행하심이라 하더라
1:25 The Lord has done this to me, for his eyes were on me, to take away my shame in
the eyes of men.
1:25 Thus has the Lord dealt with me in the days wherein he looked on me,
to take away my reproach among men.
1:26 ○ 여섯째 달에 천사 가브리엘이 하나님의 보내심을 받들어 갈릴리 나사렛이란
동네에 가서
1:26 Now in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God to a town in Galilee,
named Nazareth,
1:26 And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city
of Galilee, named Nazareth,
1:27 다윗의 자손 요셉이라 하는 사람과 정혼한 처녀에게 이르니 그 처녀의 이름은
마리아라
1:27 To a virgin who was to be married to a man named Joseph, of the family of David;
and the name of the virgin was Mary.
1:27 To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of
David; and the virgin's name was Mary.
1:28 그에게 들어가 가로되 은혜를 받은 자여 평안할지어다 주께서 너와 함께
하시도다
하니
1:28 And the angel came in to her and said, Peace be with you, to whom special grace
has been given; the Lord is with you.
1:28 And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, you that are highly
favoured, the Lord is with you: blessed are you among women.
1:29 처녀가 그 말을 듣고 놀라 이런 인사가 어찌함인고 생각하매
1:29 But she was greatly troubled at his words, and said to herself, What may be the
purpose of these words?
1:29 And when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, (o. logos) and
cast in her mind what manner of salutation this should be.
1:30 천사가 일러 가로되 마리아여 무서워 말라 네가 하나님께 은혜를 얻었느니라
1:30 And the angel said to her, Have no fear, Mary, for you have God's approval.
1:30 And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for you have found favour
with God.
1:31 보라 네가 수태하여 아들을 낳으리니 그 이름을 예수라 하라
1:31 And see, you will give birth to a son, and his name will be Jesus.
1:31 And, behold, you shall conceive in your womb, and bring forth a son,
and shall call his name JESUS.
1:32 저가 큰 자가 되고 지극히 높으신 이의 아들이라 일컬을 것이요 주 하나님께서
그 조상 다윗의 위를 저에게 주시리니
1:32 He will be great, and will be named the Son of the Most High: and the Lord God will
give him the kingdom of David, his father:
1:32 He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the
Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David:
1:33 영원히 야곱의 집에 왕노릇 하실 것이며 그 나라가 무궁하리라
1:33 He will have rule over the house of Jacob for ever, and of his kingdom there will
be no end.
1:33 And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom
there shall be no end.
1:34 마리아가 천사에게 말하되 나는 사내를 알지 못하니 어찌 이 일이 있으리이까
1:34 And Mary said to the angel, How may this be, because I have had no knowledge of
a man?
1:34 Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not
a man?
1:35 천사가 대답하여 가로되 성령이 네게 임하시고 지극히 높으신 이의 능력이
너를 덮으시리니 이러므로 나실 바 거룩한 자는 하나님의 아들이라 일컬으리라
1:35 And the angel in answer said to her, The Holy Spirit will come on you, and the power
of the Most High will come to rest on you, and so that which will come to birth
will be named holy, Son of God.
1:35 And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Spirit (o. pneuma)
shall come upon you, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow you: therefore
also that holy thing which shall be born of you shall be called the Son of God.
1:36 보라 네 친족 엘리사벳도 늙어서 아들을 배었느니라 본래 수태하지 못한다
하던 이가 이미 여섯 달이 되었나니
1:36 Even now Elisabeth, who is of your family, is to be a mother, though she is old:
and this is the sixth month with her who was without children.
1:36 And, behold, your cousin Elisabeth, she has also conceived a son in
her old age: and this is the sixth month with her, who was called barren.
1:37 대저 하나님의 모든 말씀은 능치 못하심이 없느니라
1:37 For there is nothing which God is not able to do.
1:37 For with God nothing (o. rhema) shall be impossible.
1:38 마리아가 가로되 주의 계집종이오니 말씀대로 내게 이루어지이다 하매 천사가
떠나가니라
1:38 And Mary said: I am the servant of the Lord; may it be to me as you say. And the
angel went away.
1:38 And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according
to your word. (o. rhema) And the angel departed from her.
1:39 ○ 이때에 마리아가 일어나 빨리 산중에 가서 유대 한 동네에 이르러
1:39 Then Mary got up and went quickly into the high lands, to a town of Judah;
1:39 And Mary arose in those days, and went into the hill country with haste,
into a city of Juda;
1:40 사가랴의 집에 들어가 엘리사벳에게 문안하니
1:40 And went into the house of Zacharias and took Elisabeth in her arms.
1:40 And entered into the house of Zacharias, and saluted Elisabeth.
1:41 엘리사벳이 마리아의 문안함을 들으매 아이가 복중에서 뛰노는지라 엘리사벳이
성령의 충만함을 입어
1:41 And when the voice of Mary came to the ears of Elisabeth, the baby made a sudden
move inside her; then Elisabeth was full of the Holy Spirit,
1:41 And it came to pass, that, when Elisabeth heard the salutation of Mary,
the babe leaped in her womb; and Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit:
(o. pneuma)
1:42 큰 소리로 불러 가로되 여자 중에 네가 복이 있으며 네 태중의 아이도 복이
있도다
1:42 And she said with a loud voice: May blessing be on you among women, and a blessing
on the child of your body.
1:42 And she spoke out with a loud voice, and said, Blessed are you among
women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb.
1:43 내 주의 모친이 내게 나아오니 이 어찌 된 일인고
1:43 How is it that the mother of my Lord comes to me?
1:43 And whence is this to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to
me?
1:44 보라 네 문안하는 소리가 내 귀에 들릴 때에 아이가 내 복중에서 기쁨으로
뛰놀았도다
1:44 For, truly, when the sound of your voice came to my ears, the baby in my body made
a sudden move for joy.
1:44 For, lo, as soon as the voice of your salutation sounded in mine ears,
the babe leaped in my womb for joy.
1:45 믿은 여자에게 복이 있도다 주께서 그에게 하신 말씀이 반드시 이루리라
1:45 Happy will she be who had faith that the things which the Lord has said to her will
be done.
1:45 And blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a performance of
those things which were told her from the Lord.
1:46 마리아가 가로되 내 영혼이 주를 찬양하며
1:46 And Mary said: My soul gives glory to God;
1:46 And Mary said, My soul does magnify the Lord,
1:47 내 마음이 하나님 내 구주를 기뻐하였음은
1:47 My spirit is glad in God my Saviour.
1:47 And my spirit (o. pneuma) has rejoiced in God my Saviour.
1:48 그 계집종의 비천함을 돌아보셨음이라 보라 이제 후로는 만세에 나를 복이
있다 일컬으리로다
1:48 For he has had pity on his servant, though she is poor and lowly placed: and from
this hour will all generations give witness to the blessing which has come to me.
1:48 For he has regarded the low estate of his handmaiden: for, behold, from
henceforth all generations shall call me blessed.
1:49 능하신 이가 큰 일을 내게 행하셨으니 그 이름이 거룩하시며
1:49 For he who is strong has done great things for me; and holy is his name.
1:49 For he that is mighty has done to me great things; and holy is his name.
1:50 긍휼하심이 두려워하는 자에게 대대로 이르는도다
1:50 His mercy is for all generations in whom is the fear of him.
1:50 And his mercy is on them that fear him from generation to generation.
1:51 그의 팔로 힘을 보이사 마음의 생각이 교만한 자들을 흩으셨고
1:51 With his arm he has done acts of power; he has put to flight those who have pride
in their hearts.
1:51 He has showed strength with his arm; he has scattered the proud in the
imagination of their hearts.
1:52 권세 있는 자를 그 위에서 내리치셨으며 비천한 자를 높이셨고
1:52 He has put down kings from their seats, lifting up on high the men of low degree.
1:52 He has put down the mighty from their seats, and exalted them of low
degree.
1:53 주리는 자를 좋은 것으로 배불리셨으며 부자를 공수로 보내셨도다
1:53 Those who had no food he made full of good things; the men of wealth he sent away
with nothing in their hands;
1:53 He has filled the hungry with good things; and the rich he has sent
empty away.
1:54 그 종 이스라엘을 도우사 긍휼히 여기시고 기억하시되
1:54 His help he has given to Israel, his servant, so that he might keep in mind his
mercy to Abraham and his seed for ever,
1:54 He has helped his servant Israel, in remembrance of his mercy;
1:55 우리 조상에게 말씀하신 것과 같이 아브라함과 및 그 자손에게 영원히 하시리로다
하니라
1:55 As he gave his word to our fathers.
1:55 As he spoke to our fathers, to Abraham, and to his seed for ever.
1:56 마리아가 석 달쯤 함께 있다가 집으로 돌아가니라
1:56 And Mary was with her for about three months and then went back to her house.
1:56 And Mary abode with her about three months, and returned to her own
house.
1:57 ○ 엘리사벳이 해산할 기한이 차서 아들을 낳으니
1:57 Now it was time for Elisabeth to give birth, and she had a son.
1:57 Now Elisabeth's full time came that she should be delivered; and she
brought forth a son.
1:58 이웃과 친족이 주께서 저를 크게 긍휼히 여기심을 듣고 함께 즐거워하더라
1:58 And it came to the ears of her neighbours and relations that the Lord had been very
good to her, and they took part in her joy.
1:58 And her neighbours and her cousins heard how the Lord had showed great
mercy upon her; and they rejoiced with her.
1:59 팔 일이 되매 아이를 할례하러 와서 그 부친의 이름을 따라 사가랴라 하고자
하더니
1:59 And on the eighth day they came to see to the circumcision of the child, and they
would have given him the name of Zacharias, his father's name;
1:59 And it came to pass, that on the eighth day they came to circumcise
the child; and they called him Zacharias, after the name of his father.
1:60 그 모친이 대답하여 가로되 아니라 요한이라 할 것이라 하매
1:60 But his mother made answer and said, No, his name is John.
1:60 And his mother answered and said, Not so; but he shall be called John.
1:61 저희가 가로되 네 친족 중에 이 이름으로 이름한 이가 없다 하고
1:61 And they said, Not one of your relations has that name.
1:61 And they said unto her, There is none of your kindred that is called
by this name.
1:62 그 부친께 형용하여 무엇으로 이름하려 하는가 물으니
1:62 And they made signs to his father, to say what name was to be given to him.
1:62 And they made signs to his father, how he would have him called.
1:63 저가 서판을 달라 하여 그 이름은 요한이라 쓰매 다 기이히 여기더라
1:63 And he sent for writing materials and put down: His name is John; and they were
all surprised.
1:63 And he asked for a writing table, and wrote, saying, His name is John.
And they marvelled all.
1:64 이에 그 입이 곧 열리고 혀가 풀리며 말을 하여 하나님을 찬송하니
1:64 And straight away his mouth was open and his tongue was free and he gave praise
to God.
1:64 And his mouth was opened immediately, and his tongue loosed, and he
spoke, and praised God.
1:65 그 근처에 사는 자가 다 두려워하고 이 모든 말이 온 유대 산중에 두루 퍼지매
1:65 And fear came on all those who were living round about them: and there was much
talk about all these things in all the hill-country of Judaea.
1:65 And fear came on all that dwelt round about them: and all these sayings
(o. rhema) were noised abroad throughout all the hill country of Judaea.
1:66 듣는 사람이 다 이 말을 마음에 두며 가로되 이 아이가 장차 어찌 될꼬 하니
이는 주의 손이 저와 함께 하심이러라
1:66 And all who had word of them kept them in their minds and said, What will this child
be? For the hand of the Lord was with him.
1:66 And all they that heard them laid them up in their hearts, saying, What
manner of child shall this be! And the hand of the Lord was with him.
1:67 ○ 그 부친 사가랴가 성령의 충만함을 입어 예언하여 가로되
1:67 And his father, Zacharias, was full of the Holy Spirit, and with the voice of a
prophet said these words:
1:67 And his father Zacharias was filled with the Holy Spirit, (o. pneuma)
and prophesied, saying,
1:68 찬송하리로다 주 이스라엘의 하나님이여 그 백성을 돌아보사 속량하시며
1:68 Praise be to the Lord, the God of Israel, for he has come to his people and made
them free,
1:68 Blessed be the Lord God of Israel; for he has visited and redeemed his
people,
1:69 우리를 위하여 구원의 뿔을 그 종 다윗의 집에 일으키셨으니
1:69 Lifting up a horn of salvation for us in the house of his servant David,
1:69 And has raised up an horn of salvation for us in the house of his servant
David;
1:70 이것은 주께서 예로부터 거룩한 선지자의 입으로 말씀하신 바와 같이
1:70 (As he said, by the mouth of his holy prophets, from the earliest times,)
1:70 As he spoke by the mouth of his holy prophets, which have been since
the world began:
1:71 우리 원수에게서와 우리를 미워하는 모든 자의 손에서 구원하시는 구원이라
1:71 Salvation from those who are against us, and from the hands of those who have hate
for us;
1:71 That we should be saved from our enemies, and from the hand of all that
hate us;
1:72 우리 조상을 긍휼히 여기시며 그 거룩한 언약을 기억하셨으니
1:72 To do acts of mercy to our fathers and to keep in mind his holy word,
1:72 To perform the mercy promised to our fathers, and to remember his holy
covenant;
1:73 곧 우리 조상 아브라함에게 맹세하신 맹세라
1:73 The oath which he made to Abraham, our father,
1:73 The oath which he swore to our father Abraham,
1:74 우리로 원수의 손에서 건지심을 입고
1:74 That we, being made free from the fear of those who are against us, might give him
worship,
1:74 That he would grant unto us, that we being delivered out of the hand
of our enemies might serve him without fear,
1:75 종신토록 주의 앞에서 성결과 의로 두려움이 없이 섬기게 하리라 하셨도다
1:75 In righteousness and holy living before him all our days.
1:75 In holiness and righteousness before him, all the days of our life.
1:76 이 아이여 네가 지극히 높으신 이의 선지자라 일컬음을 받고 주 앞에 앞서
가서 그 길을 예비하여
1:76 And you, child, will be named the prophet of the Most High: you will go before the
face of the Lord, to make ready his ways;
1:76 And you, child, shall be called the prophet of the Highest: for you
shall go before the face of the Lord to prepare his ways;
1:77 주의 백성에게 그 죄 사함으로 말미암는 구원을 알게 하리니
1:77 To give knowledge of salvation to his people, through the forgiveness of sins,
1:77 To give knowledge of salvation unto his people by the remission of their
sins,
1:78 이는 우리 하나님의 긍휼을 인함이라 이로써 돋는 해가 위로부터 우리에게
임하여
1:78 Because of the loving mercies of our God, by which the dawn from heaven has come
to us,
1:78 Through the tender mercy of our God; whereby the dayspring from on high
has visited us,
1:79 어두움과 죽음의 그늘에 앉은 자에게 비취고 우리 발을 평강의 길로 인도하시리로다
하니라
1:79 To give light to those in dark places, and in the shade of death, so that our feet
may be guided into the way of peace.
1:79 To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death,
to guide our feet into the way of peace.
1:80 아이가 자라며 심령이 강하여지며 이스라엘에게 나타나는 날까지 빈 들에
있으니라
1:80 And the child became tall, and strong in spirit; and he was living in the waste
land till the day when he came before the eyes of Israel.
1:80 And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, (o. pneuma) and was
in the deserts till the day of his showing unto Israel.
2:1 이때에 가이사 아구스도가 영을 내려 천하로 다 호적하라 하였으니
2:1 Now it came about in those days that an order went out from Caesar Augustus that
there was to be a numbering of all the world.
2:1 And it came to pass in those days, that there went out a decree from
Caesar Augustus that all the world should be taxed.
2:2 이 호적은 구레뇨가 수리아 총독 되었을 때에 첫 번 한 것이라

2:4 And Joseph went up from Galilee, out of the town of Nazareth, into Judaea, to Beth-lehem,
the town of David, because he was of the house and family of David,
2:4 And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into
Judaea, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem; (because he was of
the house and lineage of David:)
2:5 그 정혼한 마리아아 함께 호적하러 올라가니 마리아가 이미 잉태되었더라
2:5 To be put on the list with Mary, his future wife, who was about to become a mother.
2:5 To be taxed with Mary his espoused wife, being great with child.
2:6 거기 있을 그때에 해산할 날이 차서
2:6 And while they were there, the time came for her to give birth.
2:6 And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished
that she should be delivered.
2:7 맏아들을 낳아 강보로 싸서 구유에 뉘었으니 이는 사관에 있을 곳이 없음이러라
2:7 And she had her first son; and folding him in linen, she put him to rest in the
place where the cattle had their food, because there was no room for them in the
house.
2:7 And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling
clothes, and laid him in a crib; because there was no room for them in the inn.
2:8 ○ 그 지경에 목자들이 밖에서 밤에 자기 양 떼를 지키더니
2:8 And in the same country there were keepers of sheep in the fields, watching over
their flock by night.
2:8 And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping
watch over their flock by night.
2:9 주의 사자가 곁에 서고 주의 영광이 저희를 두루 비취매 크게 무서워하는지라
2:9 And an angel of the Lord came to them, and the glory of the Lord was shining round
about them: and fear came on them.
2:9 And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord
shone round about them: and they were sore afraid.
2:10 천사가 이르되 무서워 말라 보라 내가 온 백성에게 미칠 큰 기쁨의 좋은
소식을 너희에게 전하노라
2:10 And the angel said, Have no fear; for truly, I give you good news of great joy which
will be for all the people:
2:10 And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good
tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.
2:11 오늘날 다윗의 동네에 너희를 위하여 구주가 나셨으니 곧 그리스도 주시니라
2:11 For on this day, in the town of David, a Saviour has come to birth, who is Christ
the Lord.
2:11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which
is Christ the Lord.
2:12 너희가 가서 강보에 싸여 구유에 누인 아기를 보리니 이것이 너희에게 표적이니라
하더니
2:12 And this is the sign to you: you will see a young child folded in linen, in the
place where the cattle have their food.
2:12 And this shall be a sign unto you; All of you shall find the babe wrapped
in swaddling clothes, lying in a crib.
2:13 홀연히 허다한 천군이 그 천사와 함께 있어 하나님을 찬송하여 가로되
2:13 And suddenly there was with the angel a great band of spirits from heaven, giving
praise to God, and saying,
2:13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host
praising God, and saying,
2:14 지극히 높은 곳에서는 하나님께 영광이요 땅에서는 기뻐하심을 입은 사람들
중에 평화로다 하니라
2:14 Glory to God in the highest, and on the earth peace among men with whom he is well
pleased.

2:15 ○ 천사들이 떠나 하늘로 올라가니 목자가 서로 말하되 이제 베들레헴까지
가서 주께서 우리에게 알리신 바 이 이루어진 일을 보자 하고
2:15 And when the angels had gone away from them into heaven, the keepers of the sheep
said to one another, Let us go now to Beth-lehem, and see this thing which has come
about, which the Lord has made clear to us.
2:15 And it came to pass, as the angels were gone away from them into heaven,
the shepherds said one to another, Let us now go even unto Bethlehem, and see
this thing (o. rhema) which has come to pass, which the Lord has made known
unto us.
2:16 빨리 가서 마리아와 요셉과 구유에 누인 아기를 찾아서
2:16 And they came quickly, and saw Mary and Joseph, and the child in the place where
the cattle had their food.
2:16 And they came with haste, and found Mary, and Joseph, and the babe lying
in a crib.
2:17 보고 천사가 자기들에게 이 아기에 대하여 말한 것을 고하니
2:17 And when they saw it, they gave them an account of the things which had been said
to them about the child.
2:17 And when they had seen it, they made known abroad the saying (o. rhema)
which was told them concerning this child.
2:18 듣는 자가 다 목자의 말하는 일을 기이히 여기되
2:18 And all those to whose ears it came were full of wonder at the things said by the
keepers of the sheep.
2:18 And all they that heard it wondered at those things which were told
them by the shepherds.
2:19 마리아는 이 모든 말을 마음에 지키어 생각하니라
2:19 But Mary kept all these words in her heart, and gave much thought to them.
2:19 But Mary kept all these things, (o. rhema) and pondered them in her
heart.
2:20 목자가 자기들에게 이르던 바와 같이 듣고 본 그 모든 것을 인하여 하나님께
영광을 돌리고 찬송하며 돌아가니라
2:20 Then the keepers of the sheep went back, giving glory and praise to God for all
the things which had come to their ears and which they had seen, as it had been
said to them.
2:20 And the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the
things that they had heard and seen, as it was told unto them.
2:21 ○ 할례할 팔 일이 되매 그 이름을 예수라 하니 곧 수태하기 전에 천사의
일컬은 바러라
2:21 And when, after eight days, the time came for his circumcision, he was named Jesus,
the name which the angel had given to him before his birth.
2:21 And when eight days were accomplished for the circumcising of the child,
his name was called JESUS, which was so named of the angel before he was conceived
in the womb.
2:22 ○ 모세의 법대로 결례의 날이 차매 아기를 데리고 예루살렘에 올라가니
2:22 And when the necessary days for making them clean by the law of Moses had come to
an end, they took him to Jerusalem to give him to the Lord
2:22 And when the days of her purification according to the law of Moses
were accomplished, they brought him to Jerusalem, to present him to the Lord;
2:23 이는 주의 율법에 쓴 바 첫 태에 처음 난 남자마다 주의 거룩한 자라 하리라
한 대로 아기를 주께 드리고
2:23 (As it says in the law of the Lord, Every mother's first male child is to be holy
to the Lord),
2:23 (As it is written in the law of the LORD, Every male that opens the
womb shall be called holy to the Lord;)
2:24 또 주의 율법에 말씀하신 대로 비둘기 한 쌍이나 혹 어린 반구 둘로 제사하려
함이더라
2:24 And to make an offering, as it is ordered in the law of the Lord, of two doves or
other young birds.
2:24 And to offer a sacrifice according to that which is said in the law
of the Lord, A pair of turtledoves, or two young pigeons.
2:25 예루살렘에 시므온이라 하는 사람이 있으니 이 사람이 의롭고 경건하여 이스라엘의
위로를 기다리는 자라 성령이 그 위에 계시더라
2:25 And there was then in Jerusalem a man whose name was Simeon; and he was an upright
man, fearing God and waiting for the comfort of Israel: and the Holy Spirit was
on him.
2:25 And, behold, there was a man in Jerusalem, whose name was Simeon; and
the same man was just and devout, waiting for the consolation of Israel: and
the Holy Spirit (o. pneuma) was upon him.
2:26 저가 주의 그리스도를 보기 전에 죽지 아니하리라 하는 성령의 지시를 받았더니
2:26 And he had knowledge, through the Holy Spirit, that he would not see death till
he had seen the Lord's Christ.
2:26 And it was revealed unto him by the Holy Spirit, (o. pneuma) that he
should not see death, before he had seen the Lord's Christ.
2:27 성령의 감동으로 성전에 들어가매 마침 부모가 율법의 전례대로 행하고자
하여 그 아기 예수를 데리고 오는지라
2:27 And full of the Spirit he came into the Temple; and when the father and mother came
in with the child Jesus, to do with him what was ordered by the law,
2:27 And he came by the Spirit (o. pneuma) into the temple: and when the
parents brought in the child Jesus, to do for him after the custom of the law,
2:28 시므온이 아기를 안고 하나님을 찬송하여 가로되
2:28 Then he took him in his arms and gave praise to God and said,
2:28 Then took he him up in his arms, and blessed God, and said,
2:29 주재여 이제는 말씀하신 대로 종을 평안히 놓아 주시는도다
2:29 Now you are letting your servant go in peace, O Lord, as you have said;
2:29 Lord, now let you your servant depart in peace, according to your word:

2:30 내 눈이 주의 구원을 보았사오니
2:30 For my eyes have seen your salvation,
2:30 For mine eyes have seen your salvation,
2:31 이는 만민 앞에 예비하신 것이요
2:31 Which you have made ready before the face of all nations;
2:31 Which you have prepared before the face of all people;
2:32 이방을 비추는 빛이요 주의 백성 이스라엘의 영광이니이다 하니
2:32 A light of revelation to the Gentiles, and the glory of your people Israel.
2:32 A light to lighten the Gentiles, and the glory of your people Israel.
2:33 그 부모가 그 아기에 대한 말들을 기이히 여기더라
2:33 And his father and mother were full of wonder at the things which were said about
him.
2:33 And Joseph and his mother marvelled at those things which were spoken
of him.
2:34 시므온이 저희에게 축복하고 그 모친 마리아에게 일러 가로되 보라 이 아이는
이스라엘 중 많은 사람의 패하고 흥함을 위하며 비방을 받는 표적 되기 위하여 세움을
입었고
2:34 And Simeon gave them his blessing and said to Mary, his mother, See, this child
will be the cause of the downfall and the lifting up of great numbers of people
in Israel, and he will be a sign against which hard words will be said;
2:34 And Simeon blessed them, and said unto Mary his mother, Behold, this
child is set for the fall and rising again of many in Israel; and for a sign
which shall be spoken against;
2:35 또 칼이 네 마음을 찌르듯 하리라 이는 여러 사람의 마음의 생각을 드러내려
함이니라 하더라
2:35 (And a sword will go through your heart;) so that the secret thoughts of men may
come to light.
2:35 (Yea, a sword shall pierce through your own soul also,) that the thoughts
of many hearts may be revealed.
2:36 또 아셀 지파 바누엘의 딸 안나라 하는 선지자가 있어 나이 매우 늙었더라
그가 출가한 후 일곱 해 동안 남편과 함께 살다가
2:36 And there was one, Anna, a woman prophet, the daughter of Phanuel, of the family
of Asher (she was very old, and after seven years of married life
2:36 And there was one Anna, a prophetess, the daughter of Phanuel, of the
tribe of Aser: she was of a great age, and had lived with an husband seven years
from her virginity;
2:37 과부 된 지 팔십 사 년이라 이 사람이 성전을 떠나지 아니하고 주야에 금식하며
기도함으로 섬기더니
2:37 She had been a widow for eighty-four years); she was in the Temple at all times,
worshipping with prayers and going without food, night and day.
2:37 And she was a widow of about fourscore and four years, which departed
not from the temple, but served God with fastings and prayers night and day.
2:38 마침 이때에 나아와서 하나님께 감사하고 예루살렘의 구속됨을 바라는 모든
사람에게 이 아기에 대하여 말하니라
2:38 And coming up at that time, she gave praise to God, talking of him to all those
who were waiting for the freeing of Jerusalem.
2:38 And she coming in that instant gave thanks likewise unto the Lord, and
spoke of him to all them that looked for redemption in Jerusalem.
2:39 주의 율법을 좇아 모든 일을 필하고 갈릴리로 돌아가 본 동네 나사렛에 이르니라
2:39 And when they had done all the things which were ordered by the law of the Lord,
they went back to Galilee, to Nazareth, the town where they were living.
2:39 And when they had performed all things according to the law of the Lord,
they returned into Galilee, to their own city Nazareth.
2:40 ○ 아기가 자라며 강하여지고 지혜가 충족하며 하나님의 은혜가 그 위에
있더라
2:40 And the child became tall and strong and full of wisdom, and the grace of God was
on him.
2:40 And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, (o. pneuma) filled with
wisdom: and the grace of God was upon him.
2:41 ○ 그 부모가 해마다 유월절을 당하면 예루살렘으로 가더니
2:41 And every year his father and mother went to Jerusalem at the feast of the Passover.
2:41 Now his parents went to Jerusalem every year at the feast of the passover.
2:42 예수께서 열 두 살 될 때에 저희가 이 절기의 전례를 좇아 올라갔다가
2:42 And when he was twelve years old, they went up, as their way was, to the feast;
2:42 And when he was twelve years old, they went up to Jerusalem after the
custom of the feast.
2:43 그 날들을 마치고 돌아갈 때에 아이 예수는 예루살렘에 머무셨더라 그 부모는
이를 알지 못하고
2:43 And when the days of the feast came to an end and they were going back, the boy
Jesus was still in Jerusalem, but they had no knowledge of it:
2:43 And when they had fulfilled the days, as they returned, the child Jesus
tarried behind in Jerusalem; and Joseph and his mother knew not of it.
2:44 동행 중에 있는 줄로 생각하고 하룻길을 간 후 친족과 아는 자 중에서 찾되
2:44 And in the belief that he was with some of their number, they went a day's journey;
and after looking for him among their relations and friends,
2:44 But they, supposing him to have been in the company, went a day's journey;
and they sought him among their kinsfolk and acquaintance.
2:45 만나지 못하매 찾으면서 예루살렘에 돌아갔더니
2:45 And seeing that he was not there, they went back to Jerusalem, to make search for
him.
2:45 And when they found him not, they turned back again to Jerusalem, seeking
him.
2:46 사흘 후에 성전에서 만난즉 그가 선생들 중에 앉으사 저희에게 듣기도 하시며
묻기도 하시니
2:46 And after three days they came across him in the Temple, seated among the wise men,
giving ear to their words and putting questions to them.
2:46 And it came to pass, that after three days they found him in the temple,
sitting in the midst of the doctors, both hearing them, and asking them questions.
2:47 듣는 자가 다 그 지혜와 대답을 기이히 여기더라
2:47 And all to whose ears it came were full of wonder at his knowledge and the answers
which he gave.
2:47 And all that heard him were astonished at his understanding and answers.
2:48 그 부모가 보고 놀라며 그 모친은 가로되 아이야 어찌하여 우리에게 이렇게
하였느냐 보라 네 아버지와 내가 근심하여 너를 찾았노라
2:48 And when they saw him they were surprised, and his mother said to him, Son, why
have you done this to us? see, your father and I have been looking for you with
sorrow.
2:48 And when they saw him, they were amazed: and his mother said unto him,
Son, why have you thus dealt with us? behold, your father and I have sought
you sorrowing.
2:49 예수께서 가라사대 어찌하여 나를 찾으셨나이까 내가 내 아버지 집에 있어야
될 줄을 알지 못하셨나이까 하시니
2:49 And he said to them, Why were you looking for me? was it not clear to you that my
right place was in my Father's house?
2:49 And he said unto them, How is it that all of you sought me? know all
of you not that I must be about my Father's business?
2:50 양친이 그 하신 말씀을 깨닫지 못하더라
2:50 And his words seemed strange to them.
2:50 And they understood not the saying (o. rhema) which he spoke unto them.
2:51 예수께서 한가지로 내려가사 나사렛에 이르러 순종하여 받드시더라 그 모친은
이 모든 말을 마음에 두니라
2:51 And he went down with them and came to Nazareth; and did as he was ordered: and
his mother kept all these words in her heart.
2:51 And he went down with them, and came to Nazareth, and was subject unto
them: but his mother kept all these sayings (o. rhema) in her heart.
2:52 ○ 예수는 그 지혜와 그 키가 자라가며 하나님과 사람에게 더 사랑스러워
가시더라
2:52 And Jesus was increasing in wisdom and in years, and in grace before God and men.
2:52 And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and
man.
3:1 디베료 가이사가 위에 있은 지 열 다섯 해 곧 본디오 빌라도가 유대의 총독으로,

3:1 Now in the fifteenth year of the rule of Tiberius Caesar, Pontius Pilate being ruler
of Judaea, and Herod being king of Galilee, his brother Philip king of the country
of Ituraea and Trachonitis, and Lysanias king of Abilene,
3:1 Now in the fifteenth year of the reign of Tiberius Caesar, Pontius Pilate
being governor of Judaea, and Herod being tetrarch of Galilee, and his brother
Philip tetrarch of Ituraea and of the region of Trachonitis, and Lysanias the
tetrarch of Abilene,
3:2 안나스와 가야바가 대제사장으로 있을 때에 하나님의 말씀이 빈 들에서 사가랴의
아들 요한에게 임한지라
3:2 When Annas and Caiaphas were high priests, the word of the Lord came to John, the
son of Zacharias, in the waste land.
3:2 Annas and Caiaphas being the high priests, the word (o. rhema) of God
came unto John the son of Zacharias in the wilderness.
3:3 요한이 요단 강 부근 각처에 와서 죄 사함을 얻게 하는 회개의 세례를 전파하니
3:3 And he came into all the country round about Jordan, preaching baptism as a sign
of forgiveness of sin for those whose hearts were changed.
3:3 And he came into all the country about Jordan, preaching the baptism
of repentance for the remission of sins;
3:4 선지자 이사야의 책에 쓴 바 광야에 외치는 자의 소리가 있어 가로되 너희는
주의 길을 예비하라 그의 첩경을 평탄케 하라
3:4 As it says in the book of the words of Isaiah the prophet, The voice of one crying
in the waste land, Make ready the way of the Lord, make his roads straight.
3:4 As it is written in the book of the words (o. logos) of Isaiah the prophet,
saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare all of you the way
of the Lord, make his paths straight.
3:5 모든 골짜기가 메워지고 모든 산과 작은 산이 낮아지고 굽은 것이 곧아지고
험한 길이 평탄하여질 것이요
3:5 Every valley will be lifted up, and all the mountains and hills made low, and the
twisted will be made straight, and the rough ways smooth;
3:5 Every valley shall be filled, and every mountain and hill shall be brought
low; and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough ways shall be made
smooth;
3:6 모든 육체가 하나님의 구원하심을 보리라 함과 같으니라
3:6 And all flesh will see the salvation of God.
3:6 And all flesh shall see the salvation of God.
3:7 ○ 요한이 세례 받으러 나오는 무리에게 이르되 독사의 자식들아 누가 너희를
가르쳐 장차 올 진노를 피하라 하더냐
3:7 So he said to the people who went out to him for baptism: You offspring of snakes,
at whose word are you going in flight from the wrath to come?
3:7 Then said he to the multitude that came forth to be baptized of him,
O generation of vipers, who has warned you to flee from the wrath to come?
3:8 그러므로 회개에 합당한 열매를 맺고 속으로 아브라함이 우리 조상이라 말하지
말라 내가 너희에게 이르노니 하나님이 능히 이 돌들로도 아브라함의 자손이 되게
하시리라
3:8 Make clear by your acts that your hearts have been changed; and do not say to yourselves,
We have Abraham for our father: for I say to you that God is able from these stones
to make children of Abraham.
3:8 Bring forth therefore fruits worthy of repentance, and begin not to say
within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, That God
is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham.
3:9 이미 도끼가 나무 뿌리에 놓였으니 좋은 열매 맺지 아니하는 나무마다 찍혀
불에 던지우리라
3:9 And even now the axe is put to the root of the trees; and every tree which does
not have good fruit will be cut down and put into the fire.
3:9 And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: every tree therefore
which brings not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
3:10 무리가 물어 가로되 그러하면 우리가 무엇을 하리이까
3:10 And the people put questions to him, saying, What have we to do?
3:10 And the people asked him, saying, What shall we do then?
3:11 대답하여 가로되 옷 두 벌 있는 자는 옷 없는 자에게 나눠 줄 것이요 먹을
것이 있는 자도 그렇게 할 것이니라 하고
3:11 And he made answer and said to them, He who has two coats, let him give to him who
has not even one; and he who has food, let him do the same.
3:11 He answers and says unto them, He that has two coats, let him impart
to him that has none; and he that has food, let him do likewise.
3:12 세리들도 세례를 받고자 하여 와서 가로되 선생이여 우리는 무엇을 하리이까
하매
3:12 Then tax-farmers came to him for baptism and said to him, Master, what have we to
do?
3:12 Then came also publicans to be baptized, and said unto him, Master,
what shall we do?
3:13 가로되 정한 세 외에는 늑징치 말라 하고
3:13 And he said to them, Do not make an attempt to get more money than the right amount.
3:13 And he said unto them, Exact no more than that which is appointed you.
3:14 군병들도 물어 가로되 우리는 무엇을 하리이까 하매 가로되 사람에게 강포하지
말며 무소하지 말고 받는 요를 족한 줄로 알라 하니라
3:14 And men of the army put questions to him, saying, And what have we to do? And he
said to them, Do no violent acts to any man, and do not take anything without right,
and let your payment be enough for you.
3:14 And the soldiers likewise demanded of him, saying, And what shall we
do? And he said unto them, Do violence to no man, neither accuse any falsely;
and be content with your wages.
3:15 ○ 백성들이 바라고 기다리므로 모든 사람들이 요한을 혹 그리스도신가 심중에
의논하니
3:15 And while the people were waiting, and all men were questioning in their hearts
about John, if he was the Christ or not,
3:15 And as the people were in expectation, and all men mused in their hearts
of John, whether he were the Christ, or not;
3:16 요한이 모든 사람에게 대답하여 가로되 나는 물로 너희에게 세례를 주거니와
나보다 능력이 많으신 이가 오시나니 나는 그 신들메를 풀기도 감당치 못하겠노라
그는 성령과 불로 너희에게 세례를 주실 것이요
3:16 John made answer, saying to them all, Truly, I give you baptism with water, but
one is coming who is greater than I, whose shoes I am not good enough to undo: he
will give you baptism with the Holy Spirit, and with fire:
3:16 John answered, saying unto them all, I indeed baptize you with water;
but one mightier than I comes, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to
unloose: he shall baptize you with the Holy Spirit (o. pneuma) and with fire:
3:17 손에 키를 들고 자기의 타작 마당을 정하게 하사 알곡은 모아 곡간에 들이고
쭉정이는 꺼지지 않는 불에 태우시리라
3:17 In whose hand is the instrument with which he will make clean his grain; he will
put the good grain in his store, but the waste will be burned in the fire which
will never be put out.
3:17 Whose fan is in his hand, and he will thoroughly purge his floor, and
will gather the wheat into his garner; but the chaff he will burn with fire
unquenchable.
3:18 ○ 또 기타 여러 가지로 권하여 백성에게 좋은 소식을 전하였으나
3:18 And so comforting them with these and other words, he gave the good news to the
people;
3:18 And many other things in his exhortation preached he unto the people.
3:19 분봉 왕 헤롯은 그 동생의 아내 헤로디아의 일과 또 그의 행한 모든 악한
일을 인하여 요한에게 책망을 받고
3:19 But Herod the king, because John had made a protest on account of Herodias, his
brother's wife, and other evil things which Herod had done,
3:19 But Herod the tetrarch, being reproved by him for Herodias his brother
Philip's wife, and for all the evils which Herod had done,
3:20 이 위에 한 가지 악을 더하여 요한을 옥에 가두니라
3:20 Did this most evil thing of all, and had John shut up in prison.
3:20 Added yet this above all, that he shut up John in prison.
3:21 ○ 백성이 다 세례를 받을새 예수도 세례를 받으시고 기도하실 때에 하늘이
열리며
3:21 Now it came about that when all the people had been given baptism, Jesus, having
had baptism with them, was in prayer, when, the heaven being open,
3:21 Now when all the people were baptized, it came to pass, that Jesus also
being baptized, and praying, the heaven was opened,
3:22 성령이 형체로 비둘기 같이 그의 위에 강림하시니 하늘로서 소리가 나기를

3:22 The Holy Spirit came down in the form of a dove, and a voice came from heaven, saying,
You are my dearly loved Son, with whom I am well pleased.
3:22 And the Holy Spirit (o. pneuma) descended in a bodily shape like a dove
upon him, and a voice came from heaven, which said, You are my beloved Son;
in you I am well pleased.
3:23 ○ 예수께서 가르치심을 시작할 때에 삼십 세쯤 되시니라 사람들의 아는 대로는
요셉의 아들이니 요셉의 이상은 헬리요
3:23 And Jesus at this time was about thirty years old, being the son (as it seemed)
of Joseph, the son of Heli,
3:23 And Jesus himself began to be about thirty years of age, being (as was
supposed) the son of Joseph, which was the son of Heli,
3:24 그 이상은 맛닷이요 그 이상은 레위요 그 이상은 멜기요 그 이상은 얀나요

3:24 The son of Matthat, the son of Levi, the son of Melchi, the son of Jannai, the son

4:1 예수께서 성령의 충만함을 입어 요단 강에서 돌아오사 광야에서 사십 일 동안
성령에게 이끌리시며
4:1 And Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, came back from the Jordan, and was guided by
the Spirit in the waste land
4:1 And Jesus being full of the Holy Spirit (o. pneuma) returned from Jordan,
and was led by the Spirit (o. pneuma) into the wilderness,
4:2 마귀에게 시험을 받으시더라 이 모든 날에 아무 것도 잡수시지 아니하시니
날 수가 다하매 주리신지라
4:2 For forty days, being tested by the Evil One. And he had no food in those days;
and when they came to an end, he was in need of food.
4:2 Being forty days tempted of the devil. And in those days he did eat nothing:
and when they were ended, he afterward hungered.
4:3 마귀가 가로되 네가 만일 하나님의 아들이어든 이 돌들에게 명하여 떡덩이가
되게 하라
4:3 And the Evil One said to him, If you are the Son of God, give orders to this stone
to become bread.
4:3 And the devil said unto him, If you be the Son of God, command this stone
that it be made bread.
4:4 예수께서 대답하시되 기록하기를 사람이 떡으로만 살 것이 아니라 하였느니라
4:4 And Jesus made answer to him, It has been said in the Writings, Bread is not man's
only need.
4:4 And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live
by bread alone, but by every word (o. rhema) of God.
4:5 마귀가 또 예수를 이끌고 올라가서 순식간에 천하 만국을 보이며
4:5 And he took him up and let him see all the kingdoms of the earth in a minute of
time.
4:5 And the devil, taking him up into an high mountain, showed unto him all
the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time.
4:6 가로되 이 모든 권세와 그 영광을 내가 네게 주리라 이것은 내게 넘겨 준 것이므로
나의 원하는 자에게 주노라
4:6 And the Evil One said, I will give you authority over all these, and the glory of
them, for it has been given to me, and I give it to anyone at my pleasure.
4:6 And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give you, and the
glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give
it.
4:7 그러므로 네가 만일 내게 절하면 다 네 것이 되리라
4:7 If then you will give worship to me, it will all be yours.
4:7 If you therefore will worship me, all shall be yours.
4:8 예수께서 대답하여 가라사대 기록하기를 주 너의 하나님께 경배하고 다만
그를 섬기라 하였느니라
4:8 And Jesus in answer said to him, It has been said in the Writings, Give worship
to the Lord your God, and be his servant only.
4:8 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get you behind me, Satan: for it
is written, You shall worship the Lord your God, and him only shall you serve.
4:9 또 이끌고 예루살렘으로 가서 성전 꼭대기에 세우고 가로되 네가 만일 하나님의
아들이어든 여기서 뛰어내리라
4:9 And he took him to Jerusalem and put him on the highest point of the Temple and
said to him, If you are the Son of God, let yourself go down from here; for it is
said in the Writings,
4:9 And he brought him to Jerusalem, and set him on a pinnacle of the temple,
and said unto him, If you be the Son of God, cast yourself down from behind:
4:10 기록하였으되 하나님이 너를 위하여 그 사자들을 명하사 너를 지키게 하시리라
하였고
4:10 He will give his angels orders to take care of you:
4:10 For it is written, He shall give his angels charge over you, to keep
you:
4:11 또한 저희가 손으로 너를 받들어 네 발이 돌에 부딪히지 않게 하시리라
하였느니라
4:11 And, In their hands they will keep you up, so that your foot may not be crushed
against a stone.
4:11 And in their hands they shall bear you up, lest at any time you dash
your foot against a stone.
4:12 예수께서 대답하여 가라사대 말씀하기를 주 너의 하나님을 시험치 말라 하였느니라
4:12 And Jesus made answer and said to him, It is said in the Writings, You may not put
the Lord your God to the test.
4:12 And Jesus answering said unto him, It is said, You shall not tempt the
Lord your God.
4:13 마귀가 모든 시험을 다 한 후에 얼마 동안 떠나니라
4:13 And when all these tests were ended the Evil One went away from him for a time.
4:13 And when the devil had ended all the temptation, he departed from him
for a season.
4:14 ○ 예수께서 성령의 권능으로 갈릴리에 돌아가시니 그 소문이 사방에 퍼졌고
4:14 And Jesus came back to Galilee in the power of the Spirit, and the news of him went
through all the country round about.
4:14 And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit (o. pneuma) into Galilee:
and there went out a fame of him through all the region round about.
4:15 친히 그 여러 회당에서 가르치시매 뭇 사람에게 칭송을 받으시더라
4:15 And he was teaching in their Synagogues and all men gave him praise.
4:15 And he taught in their synagogues, being glorified of all.
4:16 ○ 예수께서 그 자라나신 곳 나사렛에 이르사 안식일에 자기 규례대로 회당에
들어가사 성경을 읽으려고 서시매
4:16 And he came to Nazareth, where he had been as a child, and he went, as his way was,
into the Synagogue on the Sabbath, and got up to give a reading.
4:16 And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom
was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up in order to
read.
4:17 선지자 이사야의 글을 드리거늘 책을 펴서 이렇게 기록한 데를 찾으시니
곧
4:17 And the book of the prophet Isaiah was given to him and, opening the book, he came
on the place where it is said,
4:17 And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Isaiah. And
when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written,
4:18 주의 성령이 내게 임하셨으니 이는 가난한 자에게 복음을 전하게 하시려고
내게 기름을 부으시고 나를 보내사 포로 된 자에게 자유를 눈 먼 자에게 다시 보게
함을 전파하며 눌린 자를 자유케 하고
4:18 The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because I am marked out by him to give good news
to the poor; he has sent me to make well those who are broken-hearted; to say that
the prisoners will be let go, and the blind will see, and to make the wounded free
from their chains,
4:18 The Spirit (o. pneuma) of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed
me to preach the gospel to the poor; he has sent me to heal the brokenhearted,
to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind,
to set at liberty them that are bruised,
4:19 주의 은혜의 해를 전파하게 하려 하심이라 하였더라
4:19 To give knowledge that the year of the Lord's good pleasure is come.
4:19 To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.
4:20 책을 덮어 그 맡은 자에게 주시고 앉으시니 회당에 있는 자들이 다 주목하여
보더라
4:20 And shutting the book he gave it back to the servant and took his seat: and the
eyes of all in the Synagogue were fixed on him.
4:20 And he closed the book, and he gave it again to the minister, and sat
down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him.
4:21 이에 예수께서 저희에게 말씀하시되 이 글이 오늘날 너희 귀에 응하였느니라
하시니
4:21 Then he said to them, Today this word has come true in your hearing.
4:21 And he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled
in your ears.
4:22 저희가 다 그를 증거하고 그 입으로 나오는 바 은혜로운 말을 기이히 여겨
가로되 이 사람이 요셉의 아들이 아니냐
4:22 And they were all giving witness, with wonder, to the words of grace which came
from his mouth: and they said, Is not this the son of Joseph?
4:22 And all bare him witness, and wondered at the gracious words (o. logos)
which proceeded out of his mouth. And they said, Is not this Joseph's son?
4:23 예수께서 저희에게 이르시되 너희가 반드시 의원아 너를 고치라 하는 속담을
인증하여 내게 말하기를 우리의 들은 바 가버나움에서 행한 일을 네 고향 여기서도
행하라 하리라
4:23 And he said to them, Without doubt you will say to me, Let the medical man make
himself well: the things which to our knowledge were done at Capernaum, do them
here in your country.
4:23 And he said unto them, All of you will surely say unto me this proverb,
Physician, heal yourself: whatsoever we have heard done in Capernaum, do also
here in your country.
4:24 또 가라사대 내가 진실로 너희에게 이르노니 선지자가 고향에서 환영을 받는
자가 없느니라
4:24 And he said to them, Truly I say to you, No prophet is honoured in his country.
4:24 And he said, Verily I say unto you, No prophet is accepted in his own
country.
4:25 내가 참으로 너희에게 이르노니 엘리야 시대에 하늘이 세 해 여섯 달을 닫히어
온 땅에 큰 흉년이 들었을 때에 이스라엘에 많은 과부가 있었으되
4:25 Truly I say to you, There were a number of widows in Israel in the days of Elijah,
when the heaven was shut up for three years and six months and there was no food
in the land;
4:25 But I tell you truthfully, many widows were in Israel in the days of
Elijah, when the heaven was shut up three years and six months, when great famine
was throughout all the land;
4:26 엘리야가 그 중 한 사람에게도 보내심을 받지 않고 오직 시돈 땅에 있는
사렙다의 한 과부에게 뿐이었으며
4:26 But Elijah was not sent to one of them, but only to Zarephath, in the land of Sidon,
to a woman who was a widow.
4:26 But unto none of them was Elijah sent, save unto Sarepta, a city of
Sidon, unto a woman that was a widow.
4:27 또 선지자 엘리사 때에 이스라엘에 많은 문둥이가 있었으되 그 중에 한 사람도
깨끗함을 얻지 못하고 오직 수리아 사람 나아만 뿐이니라
4:27 And there were a number of lepers in Israel in the time of Elisha the prophet, and
not one of them was made clean, but only Naaman the Syrian.
4:27 And many lepers were in Israel in the time of Eliseus the prophet; and
none of them was cleansed, saving Naaman the Syrian.
4:28 회당에 있는 자들이 이것을 듣고 다 분이 가득하여
4:28 And all who were in the Synagogue were very angry when these things were said to
them.
4:28 And all they in the synagogue, when they heard these things, were filled
with wrath,
4:29 일어나 동네 밖으로 쫓아내어 그 동네가 건설된 산 낭떠러지까지 끌고 가서
밀쳐 내리치고자 하되
4:29 And they got up and took him out of the town to the edge of the mountain on which
their town was, so that they might send him down to his death.
4:29 And rose up, and thrust him out of the city, and led him unto the brow
of the hill whereon their city was built, that they might cast him down headlong.
4:30 예수께서 저희 가운데로 지나서 가시니라
4:30 But he came through them and went on his way.
4:30 But he passing through the midst of them went his way,
4:31 ○ 갈릴리 가버나움 동네에 내려오사 안식일에 가르치시매
4:31 And he came down to Capernaum, a town of Galilee; and he was giving them teaching
on the Sabbath.
4:31 And came down to Capernaum, a city of Galilee, and taught them on the
sabbath days.
4:32 저희가 그 가르치심에 놀라니 이는 그 말씀이 권세가 있음이러라
4:32 And they were surprised at his teaching, for his word was with authority.
4:32 And they were astonished at his doctrine: for his word (o. logos) was
with power.
4:33 회당에 더러운 귀신 들린 사람이 있어 크게 소리 질러 가로되
4:33 And there was a man in the Synagogue who had an unclean spirit; and he gave a loud
cry and said,
4:33 And in the synagogue there was a man, which had a spirit (o. pneuma)
of an unclean devil, and cried out with a loud voice,
4:34 아 나사렛 예수여 우리가 당신과 무슨 상관이 있나이까 우리를 멸하러 왔나이까
나는 당신이 누구인 줄 아노니 하나님의 거룩한 자니이다
4:34 Let us be! what have we to do with you, Jesus of Nazareth? have you come to put
an end to us? I have knowledge who you are, the Holy One of God.
4:34 Saying, Let us alone; what have we to do with you, you Jesus of Nazareth?
are you come to destroy us? I know you who you are; the Holy One of God.
4:35 예수께서 꾸짖어 가라사대 잠잠하고 그 사람에게서 나오라 하시니 귀신이
그 사람을 무리 중에 넘어뜨리고 나오되 그 사람은 상하지 아니한지라
4:35 And Jesus said to him, Be quiet, and come out of him. And when the evil spirit had
put him down on the earth in the middle of them, he came out of him, having done
him no damage.
4:35 And Jesus rebuked him, saying, Hold your peace, and come out of him.
And when the devil had thrown him in the midst, he came out of him, and hurt
him not.
4:36 다 놀라 서로 말하여 가로되 이 어떠한 말씀인고 권세와 능력으로 더러운
귀신을 명하매 나가는도다 하더라
4:36 And wonder came on them all and they said to one another, What are these words?
for with authority and power he gives orders to the evil spirits and they come out.
4:36 And they were all amazed, and spoke among themselves, saying, What a
word (o. logos) is this! for with authority and power he commands the unclean
spirits, (o. pneuma) and they come out.
4:37 이에 예수의 소문이 그 근처 사방에 퍼지니라
4:37 And there was much talk about him in all the places round about.
4:37 And the fame of him went out into every place of the country round about.
4:38 ○ 예수께서 일어나 회당에서 나가사 시몬의 집에 들어가시니 시몬의 장모가
중한 열병에 붙들린지라 사람이 저를 위하여 예수께 구하니
4:38 And he got up and went out of the Synagogue and went into the house of Simon. And
Simon's wife's mother was very ill with a burning heat; and in answer to their prayers
for her
4:38 And he arose out of the synagogue, and entered into Simon's house. And
Simon's wife's mother was taken with a great fever; and they besought him for
her.
4:39 예수께서 가까이 서서 열병을 꾸짖으신대 병이 떠나고 여자가 곧 일어나
저희에게 수종드니라
4:39 He went near her, and with a sharp word he gave orders to the disease and it went
away from her; and straight away she got up and took care of their needs.
4:39 And he stood over her, and rebuked the fever; and it left her: and immediately
she arose and ministered unto them.
4:40 ○ 해 질 적에 각색 병으로 앓는 자 있는 사람들이 다 병인을 데리고 나아오매
예수께서 일일이 그 위에 손을 얹으사 고치시니
4:40 And at sundown all those who had anyone ill with any sort of disease, took them
to him, and he put his hands on every one of them and made them well.
4:40 Now when the sun was setting, all they that had any sick with divers
diseases brought them unto him; and he laid his hands on every one of them,
and healed them.
4:41 여러 사람에게서 귀신들이 나가며 소리 질러 가로되 당신은 하나님의 아들이니이다
예수께서 꾸짖으사 저희의 말함을 허락지 아니하시니 이는 자기를 그리스도인 줄 앎이니라
4:41 And evil spirits came out of a number of them, crying out and saying, You are the
Son of God. But he gave them sharp orders not to say a word, because they had knowledge
that he was the Christ.
4:41 And devils also came out of many, crying out, and saying, You are Christ
the Son of God. And he rebuking them suffered them not to speak: for they knew
that he was Christ.
4:42 ○ 날이 밝으매 예수께서 나오사 한적한 곳에 가시니 무리가 찾다가 만나서
자기들에게 떠나시지 못하게 만류하려 하매
4:42 And when it was day, he came out and went to a waste place; and great numbers of
people came looking for him, and they came to him and would have kept him from going
away.
4:42 And when it was day, he departed and went into a desert place: and the
people sought him, and came unto him, and stayed him, that he should not depart
from them.
4:43 예수께서 이르시되 내가 다른 동네에서도 하나님의 나라 복음을 전하여야
하리니 나는 이 일로 보내심을 입었노라 하시고
4:43 But he said to them, I have to give the good news of the kingdom of God in other
towns, because that is why I was sent.
4:43 And he said unto them, I must preach the kingdom of God to other cities
also: for therefore am I sent.
4:44 갈릴리 여러 회당에서 전도하시더라
4:44 And he was teaching in the Synagogues of Galilee.
4:44 And he preached in the synagogues of Galilee.
5:1 무리가 옹위하여 하나님의 말씀을 들을새 예수는 게네사렛 호숫가에 서서
5:1 Now it came about that while the people came pushing to be near him, and to have
knowledge of the word of God, he was by a wide stretch of water named Gennesaret;
5:1 And it came to pass, that, as the people pressed upon him to hear the
word (o. logos) of God, he stood by the lake of Gennesaret,
5:2 호숫가에 두 배가 있는 것을 보시니 어부들은 배에서 나와서 그물을 씻는지라
5:2 And he saw two boats by the edge of the water, but the fishermen had gone out of
them and were washing their nets.
5:2 And saw two ships standing by the lake: but the fishermen were gone out
of them, and were washing their nets.
5:3 예수께서 한 배에 오르시니 그 배는 시몬의 배라 육지에서 조금 띄기를 청하시고
앉으사 배에서 무리를 가르치시더니
5:3 And he got into one of the boats, the property of Simon, and made a request to him
to go a little way out from the land. And being seated he gave the people teaching
from the boat.
5:3 And he entered into one of the ships, which was Simon's, and prayed him
that he would thrust out a little from the land. And he sat down, and taught
the people out of the ship.
5:4 말씀을 마치시고 시몬에게 이르시되 깊은 데로 가서 그물을 내려 고기를 잡으라
5:4 And when his talk was ended, he said to Simon, Go out into deep water, and let down
your nets for fish.
5:4 Now when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, Launch out into the
deep, and let down your nets for a draught.
5:5 시몬이 대답하여 가로되 선생이여 우리들이 밤이 맟도록 수고를 하였으되
얻은 것이 없지마는 말씀에 의지하여 내가 그물을 내리리이다 하고
5:5 And Simon, answering, said, Master, we were working all night and we took nothing:
but at your word I will let down the nets.
5:5 And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night,
and have taken nothing: nevertheless at your word (o. rhema) I will let down
the net.
5:6 그리한즉 고기를 에운 것이 심히 많아 그물이 찢어지는지라
5:6 And when they had done this, they got such a great number of fish that it seemed
as if their nets would be broken;
5:6 And when they had this done, they enclosed a great multitude of fishes:
and their net brake.
5:7 이에 다른 배에 있는 동무를 손짓하여 와서 도와 달라 하니 저희가 와서 두
배에 채우매 잠기게 되었더라
5:7 And they made signs to their friends in the other boat to come to their help. And
they came, and the two boats were so full that they were going down.
5:7 And they beckoned unto their partners, which were in the other ship,
that they should come and help them. And they came, and filled both the ships,
so that they began to sink.
5:8 시몬 베드로가 이를 보고 예수의 무릎 아래 엎드려 가로되 주여 나를 떠나소서
나는 죄인이로소이다 하니
5:8 But Simon, when he saw it, went down at the knees of Jesus and said, Go away from
me, O Lord, for I am a sinner.
5:8 When Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus' knees, saying, Depart
from me; for I am a sinful man, O Lord.
5:9 이는 자기와 및 함께 있는 모든 사람이 고기 잡힌 것을 인하여 놀라고
5:9 For he was full of wonder and so were all those who were with him, at the number
of fish which they had taken;
5:9 For he was astonished, and all that were with him, at the draught of
the fishes which they had taken:
5:10 세베대의 아들로서 시몬의 동업자인 야고보와 요한도 놀랐음이라 예수께서
시몬에게 일러 가라사대 무서워 말라 이제 후로는 네가 사람을 취하리라 하시니
5:10 And so were James and John, the sons of Zebedee, who were working with Simon. And
Jesus said to Simon, Have no fear; from this time forward you will be a fisher of
men.
5:10 And so was also James, and John, the sons of Zebedee, which were partners
with Simon. And Jesus said unto Simon, Fear not; from henceforth you shall catch
men.
5:11 저희가 배들을 육지에 대고 모든 것을 버려 두고 예수를 좇으니라
5:11 And when they had got their boats to the land, they gave up everything and went
after him.
5:11 And when they had brought their ships to land, they forsook all, and
followed him.
5:12 ○ 예수께서 한 동네에 계실 때에 온 몸에 문둥병 들린 사람이 있어 예수를
보고 엎드려 구하여 가로되 주여 원하시면 나를 깨끗케 하실 수 있나이다 하니
5:12 And it came about that while he was in one of the towns, there was a leper there:
and when he saw Jesus he went down on his face in prayer to him, saying, Lord, if
it is your pleasure, you have power to make me clean.
5:12 And it came to pass, when he was in a certain city, behold a man full
of leprosy: who seeing Jesus fell on his face, and besought him, saying, Lord,
if you will, you can make me clean.
5:13 예수께서 손을 내밀어 저에게 대시며 가라사대 내가 원하노니 깨끗함을 받으라
하신대 문둥병이 곧 떠나니라
5:13 And he put out his hand to him and said, It is my pleasure; be clean. And straight
away his disease went from him.
5:13 And he put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will: be you clean.
And immediately the leprosy departed from him.
5:14 예수께서 저를 경계하시되 아무에게도 이르지 말고 가서 제사장에게 네 몸을
보이고 또 네 깨끗케 됨을 인하여 모세의 명한 대로 예물을 드려 저희에게 증거하라
하셨더니
5:14 And he gave him orders: Say nothing to any man, but let the priest see you and give
an offering so that you may be made clean, as the law of Moses says, and for a witness
to them.
5:14 And he charged him to tell no man: but go, and show yourself to the
priest, and offer for your cleansing, according as Moses commanded, for a testimony
unto them.
5:15 예수의 소문이 더욱 퍼지매 허다한 무리가 말씀도 듣고 자기 병도 나음을
얻고자 하여 모여 오되
5:15 But news of him went out all the more, in every direction, and great numbers of
people came together to give hearing to his words and to be made well from their
diseases.
5:15 But so much the more went there a fame (o. logos) abroad of him: and
great multitudes came together to hear, and to be healed by him of their infirmities.
5:16 예수는 물러가사 한적한 곳에서 기도하시니라
5:16 But he went away by himself to a waste place for prayer.
5:16 And he withdrew himself into the wilderness, and prayed.
5:17 ○ 하루는 가르치실 때에 갈릴리 각 촌과 유대와 예루살렘에서 나온 바리새인과
교법사들이 앉았는데 병을 고치는 주의 능력이 예수와 함께 하더라
5:17 And it came about that on one of these days he was teaching; and some Pharisees
and teachers of the law were seated there, who had come from every town of Galilee
and Judaea and from Jerusalem; and the power of the Lord was with him, to make those
who were ill free from their diseases.
5:17 And it came to pass on a certain day, as he was teaching, that there
were Pharisees and doctors of the law sitting by, which were come out of every
town of Galilee, and Judaea, and Jerusalem: and the power of the Lord was present
to heal them.
5:18 한 중풍병자를 사람들이 침상에 메고 와서 예수 앞에 들여놓고자 하였으나
5:18 And some men had with them, on a bed, a man who was ill, without power of moving;
and they made attempts to get him in and put him before Jesus.
5:18 And, behold, men brought in a bed a man which was taken with a palsy:
and they sought means to bring him in, and to lay him before him.
5:19 무리 때문에 메고 들어갈 길을 얻지 못한지라 지붕에 올라가 기와를 벗기고
병자를 침상채 무리 가운데로 예수 앞에 달아 내리니
5:19 And because of the mass of people, there was no way to get him in; so they went
up on the top of the house and let him down through the roof, on his bed, into the
middle in front of Jesus.
5:19 And when they could not find by what way they might bring him in because
of the multitude, they went upon the housetop, and let him down through the
tiling with his couch into the midst before Jesus.
5:20 예수께서 저희 믿음을 보시고 이르시되 이 사람아 네 죄 사함을 받았느니라
하시니
5:20 And seeing their faith he said, Man, you have forgiveness for your sins.
5:20 And when he saw their faith, he said unto him, Man, your sins are forgiven
you.
5:21 서기관과 바리새인들이 의논하여 가로되 이 참람한 말을 하는 자가 누구뇨
오직 하나님 외에 누가 능히 죄를 사하겠느냐
5:21 And the scribes and Pharisees were having an argument, saying, Who is this, who
has no respect for God? who is able to give forgiveness for sins, but God only?
5:21 And the scribes and the Pharisees began to reason, saying, Who is this
which speaks blasphemies? Who can forgive sins, but God alone?
5:22 예수께서 그 의논을 아시고 대답하여 가라사대 너희 마음에 무슨 의논을
하느냐
5:22 But Jesus, who had knowledge of their thoughts, said to them, Why are you reasoning
in your hearts?
5:22 But when Jesus perceived their thoughts, he answering said unto them,
What reason all of you in your hearts?
5:23 네 죄 사함을 받았느니라 하는 말과 일어나 걸어가라 하는 말이 어느 것이
쉽겠느냐
5:23 Which is the simpler: to say, You have forgiveness for your sins; or to say, Get
up and go?
5:23 Whether is easier, to say, Your sins be forgiven you; or to say, Rise
up and walk?
5:24 그러나 인자가 땅에서 죄를 사하는 권세가 있는 줄을 너희로 알게 하리라
하시고 중풍병자에게 말씀하시되 내가 네게 이르노니 일어나 네 침상을 가지고 집으로
가라 하시매
5:24 But so that you may see that on earth the Son of man has authority for the forgiveness
of sins, (he said to the man who was ill,) I say to you, Get up, and take up your
bed, and go into your house.
5:24 But that all of you may know that the Son of man has power upon earth
to forgive sins, (he said unto the sick of the palsy,) I say unto you, Arise,
and take up your couch, and go into yours house.
5:25 그 사람이 저희 앞에서 곧 일어나 누웠던 것을 가지고 하나님께 영광을 돌리며
자기 집으로 돌아가니
5:25 And straight away he got up before them, and took up his bed and went away to his
house giving praise to God.
5:25 And immediately he rose up before them, and took up that whereon he
lay, and departed to his own house, glorifying God.
5:26 모든 사람이 놀라 하나님께 영광을 돌리며 심히 두려워하여 가로되 오늘날
우리가 기이한 일을 보았다 하니라
5:26 And wonder overcame them all, and they gave glory to God; and they were full of
fear, saying, We have seen strange things today.
5:26 And they were all amazed, and they glorified God, and were filled with
fear, saying, We have seen strange things to day.
5:27 ○ 그 후에 나가사 레위라 하는 세리가 세관에 앉은 것을 보시고 나를 좇으라
하시니
5:27 And after these things he went out, and saw Levi, a tax-farmer, seated at the place
where taxes were taken, and said to him, Come after me.
5:27 And after these things he went forth, and saw a publican, named Levi,
sitting at the receipt of custom: and he said unto him, Follow me.
5:28 저가 모든 것을 버리고 일어나 좇으니라
5:28 And giving up his business, he got up and went after him.
5:28 And he left all, rose up, and followed him.
5:29 레위가 예수를 위하여 자기 집에서 큰 잔치를 하니 세리와 다른 사람이 많이
함께 앉았는지라
5:29 And Levi made a great feast for him in his house: and a great number of tax-farmers
and others were seated at table with them.
5:29 And Levi made him a great feast in his own house: and there was a great
company of publicans and of others that sat down with them.
5:30 바리새인과 저희 서기관들이 그 제자들을 비방하여 가로되 너희가 어찌하여
세리와 죄인과 함께 먹고 마시느냐
5:30 And the Pharisees and their scribes made protests against his disciples, saying,
Why do you take food and drink with tax-farmers and sinners?
5:30 But their scribes and Pharisees murmured against his disciples, saying,
Why do all of you eat and drink with publicans and sinners?
5:31 예수께서 대답하여 가라사대 건강한 자에게는 의원이 쓸데 없고 병든 자에게라야
쓸데 있나니
5:31 And Jesus, answering, said to them, Those who are well have no need of a medical
man, but those who are ill.
5:31 And Jesus answering said unto them, They that are whole need not a physician;
but they that are sick.
5:32 내가 의인을 부르러 온 것이 아니요 죄인을 불러 회개시키러 왔노라
5:32 I have come, not to get the upright, but sinners, so that they may be turned from
their sins.
5:32 I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
5:33 저희가 예수께 말하되 요한의 제자는 자주 금식하며 기도하고 바리새인의
제자들도 또한 그리하되 당신의 제자들은 먹고 마시나이다
5:33 And they said to him, The disciples of John frequently go without food, and make
prayers, and so do the disciples of the Pharisees; but your disciples take food
and drink.
5:33 And they said unto him, Why do the disciples of John fast often, and
make prayers, and likewise the disciples of the Pharisees; but yours eat and
drink?
5:34 예수께서 저희에게 이르시되 혼인 집 손님들이 신랑과 함께 있을 때에 너희가
그 손님으로 금식하게 할 수 있느뇨
5:34 And Jesus said, Are you able to make the friends of the newly-married man go without
food when he is with them?
5:34 And he said unto them, Can all of you make the children of the bride-chamber
fast, while the bridegroom is with them?
5:35 그러나 그 날에 이르러 저희가 신랑을 빼앗기리니 그 날에는 금식할 것이니라
5:35 But the days will come when he will be taken away from them, and then they will
go without food.
5:35 But the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken away from
them, and then shall they fast in those days.
5:36 또 비유하여 이르시되 새 옷에서 한 조각을 찢어 낡은 옷에 붙이는 자가
없나니 만일 그렇게 하면 새 옷을 찢을 뿐이요 또 새 옷에서 찢은 조각이 낡은 것에
합하지 아니하리라
5:36 And he said to them, in a story, No man takes a bit of cloth from a new coat and
puts it on to an old coat, for so the new coat would be damaged and the bit from
the new would not go well with the old.
5:36 And he spoke also a parable unto them; No man puts a piece of a new
garment upon an old; if otherwise, then both the new makes a rent, and the piece
that was taken out of the new agrees not with the old.
5:37 새 포도주를 낡은 가죽 부대에 넣는 자가 없나니 만일 그렇게 하면 새 포도주가
부대를 터뜨려 포도주가 쏟아지고 부대도 버리게 되리라
5:37 And no man puts new wine into old wine-skins, for fear that the skins will be burst
by the new wine, and the wine be let out, and the skins come to destruction.
5:37 And no man puts new wine into old bottles; else the new wine will burst
the bottles, and be spilled, and the bottles shall perish.
5:38 새 포도주는 새 부대에 넣어야 할 것이니라
5:38 But new wine has to be put into new wine-skins.
5:38 But new wine must be put into new bottles; and both are preserved.
5:39 묵은 포도주를 마시고 새 것을 원하는 자가 없나니 이는 묵은 것이 좋다
함이니라
5:39 And no man, having had old wine, has any desire for new, for he says, The old is
better.
5:39 No man also having drunk old wine immediately desires new: for he says,
The old is better.
6:1 안식일에 예수께서 밀밭 사이로 지나가실새 제자들이 이삭을 잘라 손으로
비비어 먹으니
6:1 Now it came about that on the Sabbath he was going through the fields of grain,
and his disciples took the heads of the grain for food, crushing them in their hands.
6:1 And it came to pass on the second sabbath after the first, that he went
through the corn fields; and his disciples plucked the ears of corn, and did
eat, rubbing them in their hands.
6:2 어떤 바리새인들이 말하되 어찌하여 안식일에 하지 못할 일을 하느뇨
6:2 But some of the Pharisees said, Why do you do what it is not right to do on the
Sabbath?
6:2 And certain of the Pharisees said unto them, Why do all of you that which
is not lawful to do on the sabbath days?
6:3 예수께서 대답하여 가라사대 다윗이 자기와 및 함께 한 자들이 시장할 때에
한 일을 읽지 못하였느냐
6:3 And Jesus said, Have you not seen in the Writings what David did when he was in
need of food, he, and those who were with him;
6:3 And Jesus answering them said, Have all of you not read so much as this,
what David did, when himself was an hungered, and they which were with him;
6:4 그가 하나님의 전에 들어가서 다만 제사장 외에는 먹지 못하는 진설병을 집어
먹고 함께 한 자들에게도 주지 아니하였느냐
6:4 How he went into the house of God and took for food the holy bread, which only the
priests may take, and gave it to those who were with him?
6:4 How he went into the house of God, and did take and eat the showbread,
and gave also to them that were with him; which it is not lawful to eat but
for the priests alone?
6:5 또 가라사대 인자는 안식일의 주인이니라 하시더라
6:5 And he said, The Son of man is lord even of the Sabbath.
6:5 And he said unto them, That the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath.
6:6 ○ 또 다른 안식일에 예수께서 회당에 들어가사 가르치실새 거기 오른손 마른
사람이 있는지라
6:6 And it came about, on another Sabbath, that he went into the Synagogue and was teaching
there. And a man was there whose right hand was dead.
6:6 And it came to pass also on another sabbath, that he entered into the
synagogue and taught: and there was a man whose right hand was withered.
6:7 서기관과 바리새인들이 예수를 송사할 빙거를 찾으려 하여 안식일에 병 고치시는가
엿보니
6:7 And the scribes and Pharisees were watching him to see if he would make him well
on the Sabbath, so that they might be able to say something against him.
6:7 And the scribes and Pharisees watched him, whether he would heal on the
sabbath day; that they might find an accusation against him.
6:8 예수께서 저희 생각을 아시고 손 마른 사람에게 이르시되 일어나 한가운데
서라 하시니 저가 일어나 서거늘
6:8 But he had knowledge of their thoughts; and he said to the man whose hand was dead,
Get up and come into the middle. And he got up and came forward.
6:8 But he knew their thoughts, and said to the man which had the withered
hand, Rise up, and stand forth in the midst. And he arose and stood forth.
6:9 예수께서 저희에게 이르시되 내가 너희에게 묻노니 안식일에 선을 행하는
것과 악을 행하는 것 생명을 구하는 것과 멸하는 것 어느 것이 옳으냐 하시며
6:9 And Jesus said, I put the question to you, Is it right to do good on the Sabbath
or to do evil? to give life or to take it away?
6:9 Then said Jesus unto them, I will ask you one thing; Is it lawful on
the sabbath days to do good, or to do evil? to save life, or to destroy it?
6:10 무리를 둘러 보시고 그 사람에게 이르시되 네 손을 내밀라 하시니 저가 그리하매
그 손이 회복된지라
6:10 And looking round on all of them, he said to him, Put out your hand. And he did
so: and his hand was made well.
6:10 And looking round about upon them all, he said unto the man, Stretch
forth your hand. And he did so: and his hand was restored whole as the other.
6:11 저희는 분기가 가득하여 예수를 어떻게 처치할 것을 서로 의논하니라
6:11 But they were full of wrath, and were talking together about what they might do
to Jesus.
6:11 And they were filled with madness; and communed one with another what
they might do to Jesus.
6:12 ○ 이때에 예수께서 기도하시러 산으로 가사 밤이 맟도록 하나님께 기도하시고
6:12 And it came about in those days that he went out to the mountain for prayer; and
he was all night in prayer to God.
6:12 And it came to pass in those days, that he went out into a mountain
to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God.
6:13 밝으매 그 제자들을 부르사 그 중에서 열 둘을 택하여 사도라 칭하셨으니
6:13 And the day came and, turning to his disciples, he made a selection from among them
of twelve, to whom he gave the name of Apostles;
6:13 And when it was day, he called unto him his disciples: and of them he
chose twelve, whom also he named apostles;
6:14 곧 베드로라고도 이름 주신 시몬과 및 그 형제 안드레와 및 야고보와 요한과
빌립과 바돌로매와
6:14 Simon, to whom he gave the name of Peter, and Andrew, his brother, and James and
John and Philip and Bartholomew
6:14 Simon, (whom he also named Peter,) and Andrew his brother, James and
John, Philip and Bartholomew,
6:15 마태와 도마와 및 알패오의 아들 야고보와 및 셀롯이라 하는 시몬과
6:15 And Matthew and Thomas and James, the son of Alphaeus, and Simon, who was named
the Zealot,
6:15 Matthew and Thomas, James the son of Alphaeus, and Simon called Zelotes,
6:16 및 야고보의 아들 유다와 및 예수를 파는 자 될 가룟 유다라
6:16 And Judas, the son of James, and Judas Iscariot, he who was false to him.
6:16 And Judas the brother of James, and Judas Iscariot, which also was the
traitor.
6:17 예수께서 저희와 함께 내려오사 평지에 서시니 그 제자의 허다한 무리와
또 예수의 말씀도 듣고 병 고침을 얻으려고 유대 사방과 예루살렘과 및 두로와 시돈의
해안으로부터 온 많은 백성도 있더라
6:17 And he came down with them to a level place, and a great band of his disciples,
and a very great number of people from all Judaea and Jerusalem and from the parts
of Tyre and Sidon by the sea, came to give hearing to him, and to be made well from
their diseases;
6:17 And he came down with them, and stood in the plain, and the company
of his disciples, and a great multitude of people out of all Judaea and Jerusalem,
and from the sea coast of Tyre and Sidon, which came to hear him, and to be
healed of their diseases;
6:18 더러운 귀신에게 고난 받는 자들도 고침을 얻은지라
6:18 And those who were troubled with unclean spirits were made well.
6:18 And they that were vexed with unclean spirits: (o. pneuma) and they
were healed.
6:19 온 무리가 예수를 만지려고 힘쓰니 이는 능력이 예수께로 나서 모든 사람을
낫게 함이러라
6:19 And all the people were desiring to be touched by him, for power came from him and
made them all well.
6:19 And the whole multitude sought to touch him: for there went virtue out
of him, and healed them all.
6:20 예수께서 눈을 들어 제자들을 보시고 가라사대 가난한 자는 복이 있나니
하나님의 나라가 너희 것임이요
6:20 And turning his eyes to his disciples he said, Happy are you who are poor: for the
kingdom of God is yours.
6:20 And he lifted up his eyes on his disciples, and said, Blessed be all
of you poor: for yours is the kingdom of God.
6:21 이제 주린 자는 복이 있나니 너희가 배부름을 얻을 것임이요 이제 우는 자는
복이 있나니 너희가 웃을 것임이요
6:21 Happy are you who are in need of food now: for you will be made full. Happy are
you who are weeping now; for you will be glad.
6:21 Blessed are all of you that hunger now: for all of you shall be filled.
Blessed are all of you that weep now: for all of you shall laugh.
6:22 인자를 인하여 사람들이 너희를 미워하며 멀리하고 욕하고 너희 이름을 악하다
하여 버릴 때에는 너희에게 복이 있도다
6:22 Happy are you, when men have hate for you, and put you away from among them and
say angry words to you, turning away in disgust at your name, because of the Son
of man.
6:22 Blessed are all of you, when men shall hate you, and when they shall
separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name
as evil, for the Son of man's sake.
6:23 그 날에 기뻐하고 뛰놀라 하늘에서 너희 상이 큼이라 저희 조상들이 선지자들에게
이와 같이 하였느니라
6:23 Be glad in that day, and be lifted up for joy, for your reward in heaven will be
great: for their fathers did these same things to the prophets.
6:23 Rejoice all of you in that day, and leap for joy: for, behold, your
reward is great in heaven: for in the like manner did their fathers unto the
prophets.
6:24 그러나 화 있을진저 너희 부요한 자여 너희는 너희의 위로를 이미 받았도다
6:24 But unhappy are you who have wealth: for you have been comforted now.
6:24 But woe unto you that are rich! for all of you have received your consolation.
6:25 화 있을진저 너희 이제 배부른 자여 너희는 주리리로다 화 있을진저 너희
이제 웃는 자여 너희가 애통하며 울리로다
6:25 Unhappy are you who are full of food now: for you will be in need. Unhappy are you
who are laughing now: for you will be crying in sorrow.
6:25 Woe unto you that are full! for all of you shall hunger. Woe unto you
that laugh now! for all of you shall mourn and weep.
6:26 모든 사람이 너희를 칭찬하면 화가 있도다 저희 조상들이 거짓 선지자들에게
이와 같이 하였느니라
6:26 Unhappy are you when all men give you their approval: for so their fathers did to
the false prophets.
6:26 Woe unto you, when all men shall speak well of you! for so did their
fathers to the false prophets.
6:27 ○ 그러나 너희 듣는 자에게 내가 이르노니 너희 원수를 사랑하며 너희를
미워하는 자를 선대하며
6:27 But I say to you who give ear to me, Have love for those who are against you, do
good to those who have hate for you,
6:27 But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which
hate you,
6:28 너희를 저주하는 자를 위하여 축복하며 너희를 모욕하는 자를 위하여 기도하라
6:28 Give blessing to those who give you curses, say prayers for those who are cruel
to you.
6:28 Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use
you.
6:29 네 이 뺨을 치는 자에게 저 뺨도 돌려 대며 네 겉옷을 빼앗는 자에게 속옷도
금하지 말라
6:29 If a man gives you a blow on one side of your face, then let the other side be turned
to him; from him who takes away your coat, do not keep back your robe.
6:29 And unto him that strikes you on the one cheek offer also the other;
and him that takes away your cloak forbid not to take your coat also.
6:30 무릇 네게 구하는 자에게 주며 네 것을 가져가는 자에게 다시 달라하지 말며
6:30 Give to everyone who comes with a request, and if a man takes away your property,
make no attempt to get it back again.
6:30 Give to every man that asks of you; and of him that takes away your
goods ask them not again.
6:31 남에게 대접을 받고자 하는 대로 너희도 남을 대접하라
6:31 Do to others as you would have them do to you.
6:31 And as all of you would that men should do to you, do all of you also
to them likewise.
6:32 너희가 만일 너희를 사랑하는 자를 사랑하면 칭찬 받을 것이 무엇이뇨 죄인들도
사랑하는 자를 사랑하느니라
6:32 If you have love for those who have love for you, what credit is it to you? for
even sinners have love for those who have love for them.
6:32 For if all of you love them which love you, what thank have all of you?
for sinners also love those that love them.
6:33 너희가 만일 선대하는 자를 선대하면 칭찬 받을 것이 무엇이뇨 죄인들도
이렇게 하느니라
6:33 And if you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is it to you? for even
sinners do the same.
6:33 And if all of you do good to them which do good to you, what thank have
all of you? for sinners also do even the same.
6:34 너희가 받기를 바라고 사람들에게 빌리면 칭찬 받을 것이 무엇이뇨 죄인들도
의수히 받고자 하여 죄인에게 빌리느니라
6:34 And if you let those have the use of your money, from whom you are hoping to get
it back, what credit is it to you? even sinners do so to sinners, hoping to get
back as much as they gave.
6:34 And if all of you lend to them of whom all of you hope to receive, what
thank have all of you? for sinners also lend to sinners, to receive as much
again.
6:35 오직 너희는 원수를 사랑하고 선대하며 아무 것도 바라지 말고 빌리라 그리하면
너희 상이 클 것이요 또 지극히 높으신 이의 아들이 되리니 그는 은혜를 모르는 자와
악한 자에게도 인자로우시니라
6:35 But be loving to those who are against you and do them good, and give them your
money, not giving up hope, and your reward will be great and you will be the sons
of the Most High: for he is kind to evil men, and to those who have hard hearts.
6:35 But love all of you your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for
nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and all of you shall be the children
of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil.
6:36 너희 아버지의 자비하심 같이 너희도 자비하라
6:36 Be full of pity, even as your Father is full of pity.
6:36 Be all of you therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful.
6:37 비판치 말라 그리하면 너희가 비판을 받지 않을 것이요 정죄하지 말라 그리하면
너희가 정죄를 받지 않을 것이요 용서하라 그리하면 너희가 용서를 받을 것이요
6:37 Be not judges of others, and you will not be judged: do not give punishment to others,
and you will not get punishment yourselves: make others free, and you will be made
free:
6:37 Judge not, and all of you shall not be judged: condemn not, and all
of you shall not be condemned: forgive, and all of you shall be forgiven:
6:38 주라 그리하면 너희에게 줄 것이니 곧 후히 되어 누르고 흔들어 넘치도록
하여 너희에게 안겨 주리라 너희의 헤아리는 그 헤아림으로 너희도 헤아림을 도로
받을 것이니라
6:38 Give, and it will be given to you; good measure, crushed down, full and running
over, they will give to you. For in the same measure as you give, it will be given
to you again.
6:38 Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and
shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with
the same measure that all of you mete likewise it shall be measured to you again.
6:39 ○ 또 비유로 말씀하시되 소경이 소경을 인도할 수 있느냐 둘이 다 구덩이에
빠지지 아니하겠느냐
6:39 And he gave them teaching in the form of a story, saying, Is it possible for one
blind man to be guide to another? will they not go falling together into a hole?
6:39 And he spoke a parable unto them, Can the blind lead the blind? shall
they not both fall into the ditch?
6:40 제자가 그 선생보다 높지 못하나 무릇 온전케 된 자는 그 선생과 같으리라
6:40 The disciple is not greater than his master, but everyone whose learning is complete
will be like his master.
6:40 The disciple is not above his master: but every one that is perfect
shall be as his master.
6:41 어찌하여 형제의 눈 속에 있는 티는 보고 네 눈 속에 있는 들보는 깨닫지
못하느냐
6:41 And why do you take note of the grain of dust in your brother's eye, but take no
note of the bit of wood which is in your eye?
6:41 And why behold you the splinter that is in your brother's eye, but perceive
not the beam that is in yours own eye?
6:42 너는 네 눈 속에 있는 들보를 보지 못하면서 어찌하여 형제에게 말하기를
형제여 나로 네 눈 속에 있는 티를 빼게 하라 할 수 있느냐 외식하는 자여 먼저 네
눈 속에서 들보를 빼어라 그 후에야 네가 밝히 보고 형제의 눈 속에 있는 티를 빼리라
6:42 How will you say to your brother, Brother, let me take the grain of dust out of
your eye, when you yourself do not see the bit of wood in your eye? O false one!
first take the wood out of your eye and then you will see clearly to take the dust
out of your brother's eye.
6:42 Either how can you say to your brother, Brother, let me pull out the
splinter that is in yours eye, when you yourself behold not the beam that is
in yours own eye? You hypocrite, cast out first the beam out of yours own eye,
and then shall you see clearly to pull out the splinter that is in your brother's
eye.
6:43 못된 열매 맺는 좋은 나무가 없고 또 좋은 열매 맺는 못된 나무가 없느니라
6:43 For no good tree gives bad fruit, and no bad tree gives good fruit.
6:43 For a good tree brings not forth corrupt fruit; neither does a corrupt
tree bring forth good fruit.
6:44 나무는 각각 그 열매로 아나니 가시나무에서 무화과를, 또는 찔레에서 포도를
따지 못하느니라
6:44 For every tree is judged by its fruit. Men do not get figs from thorns, or grapes
from blackberry plants.
6:44 For every tree is known by his own fruit. For of thorns men do not gather
figs, nor of a bramble bush gather they grapes.
6:45 선한 사람은 마음의 쌓은 선에서 선을 내고 악한 자는 그 쌓은 악에서 악을
내나니 이는 마음의 가득한 것을 입으로 말함이니라
6:45 The good man, out of the good store of his heart, gives good things; and the evil
man, out of his evil store, gives evil: for out of the full store of the heart come
the words of the mouth.
6:45 A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth that which
is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth
that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.
6:46 ○ 너희는 나를 불러 주여 주여 하면서도 어찌하여 나의 말하는 것을 행치
아니하느냐
6:46 Why do you say to me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?
6:46 And why call all of you me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which
I say?
6:47 내게 나아와 내 말을 듣고 행하는 자마다 누구와 같은 것을 너희에게 보이리라
6:47 Everyone who comes to me and gives ear to my words and does them, I will make clear
to you what he is like:
6:47 Whosoever comes to me, and hears my sayings, (o. logos) and does them,
I will show you to whom he is like:
6:48 집을 짓되 깊이 파고 주초를 반석 위에 놓은 사람과 같으니 큰 물이 나서
탁류가 그 집에 부딪히되 잘 지은 연고로 능히 요동케 못하였거니와
6:48 He is like a man building a house, who went deep and put the base of it on a rock;
and when the water came up and the river was driving against that house, it was
not moved, because the building was good.
6:48 He is like a man which built an house, and dug deep, and laid the foundation
on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house,
and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock.
6:49 듣고 행치 아니하는 자는 주초 없이 흙 위에 집 지은 사람과 같으니 탁류가
부딪히매 집이 곧 무너져 파괴됨이 심하니라 하시니라
6:49 But he who gives hearing, without doing, is like a man building a house on the earth
without a base for it; and when the force of the river came against it, straight
away it came down; and the destruction of that house was great.
6:49 But he that hears, and does not, is like a man that without a foundation
built an house upon the earth; against which the stream did beat vehemently,
and immediately it fell; and the ruin of that house was great.
7:1 예수께서 모든 말씀을 백성에게 들려 주시기를 마치신 후에 가버나움으로
들어가시니라
7:1 After he had come to the end of all his words in the hearing of the people, he went
into Capernaum.
7:1 Now when he had ended all his sayings (o. rhema) in the audience of the
people, he entered into Capernaum.
7:2 ○ 어떤 백부장의 사랑하는 종이 병들어 죽게 되었더니
7:2 And a certain captain had a servant who was very dear to him; this servant was ill
and near to death.
7:2 And a certain centurion's servant, who was dear unto him, was sick, and
ready to die.
7:3 예수의 소문을 듣고 유대인의 장로 몇을 보내어 오셔서 그 종을 구원하시기를
청한지라
7:3 And when news of Jesus came to his ears, he sent to him rulers of the Jews, requesting
that he would come and make his servant well.
7:3 And when he heard of Jesus, he sent unto him the elders of the Jews,
beseeching him that he would come and heal his servant.
7:4 이에 저희가 예수께 나아와 간절히 구하여 가로되 이 일을 하시는 것이 이
사람에게는 합당하니이다
7:4 And they, when they came to Jesus, made their request warmly, saying,
7:4 And when they came to Jesus, they besought him instantly, saying, That
he was worthy for whom he should do this:
7:5 저가 우리 민족을 사랑하고 또한 우리를 위하여 회당을 지었나이다 하니
7:5 It is right for you to do this for him, because he is a friend to our nation, and
himself has put up a Synagogue for us.
7:5 For he loves our nation, and he has built us a synagogue.
7:6 예수께서 함께 가실새 이에 그 집이 멀지 아니하여 백부장이 벗들을 보내어
가로되 주여 수고하시지 마옵소서 내 집에 들어오심을 나는 감당치 못하겠나이다
7:6 And Jesus went with them. And when he was not far from the house, the man sent friends
to him, saying, Lord, do not give yourself trouble: for I am not important enough
for you to come into my house:
7:6 Then Jesus went with them. And when he was now not far from the house,
the centurion sent friends to him, saying unto him, Lord, trouble not yourself:
for I am not worthy that you should enter under my roof:
7:7 그러므로 내가 주께 나아가기도 감당치 못할 줄을 알았나이다 말씀만 하사
내 하인을 낫게 하소서
7:7 And I had the feeling that I was not even good enough to come to you: but say the
word only, and my servant will be well.
7:7 Wherefore neither thought I myself worthy to come unto you: but say in
a word, (o. logos) and my servant shall be healed.
7:8 저도 남의 수하에 든 사람이요 제 아래에도 군병이 있으니 이더러 가라 하면
가고 저더러 오라 하면 오고 제 종더러 이것을 하라 하면 하나이다
7:8 For I, myself, am a man under authority, having men under me; and I say to this
one, Go, and he goes; and to another, Come, and he comes; and to my servant, Do
this, and he does it.
7:8 For I also am a man set under authority, having under me soldiers, and
I say unto one, Go, and he goes; and to another, Come, and he comes; and to
my servant, Do this, and he does it.
7:9 예수께서 들으시고 저를 기이히 여겨 돌이키사 좇는 무리에게 이르시되 내가
너희에게 이르노니 이스라엘 중에서도 이만한 믿음은 만나지 못하였노라 하시더라
7:9 And when these things were said to Jesus, he was surprised, and, turning to the
mass of people coming after him, said, I have not seen such great faith, no, not
in Israel.
7:9 When Jesus heard these things, he marvelled at him, and turned him about,
and said unto the people that followed him, I say unto you, I have not found
so great faith, no, not in Israel.
7:10 보내었던 사람들이 집으로 돌아가 보매 종이 이미 강건하여졌더라
7:10 And when those who were sent came back to the house they saw that the servant was
well.
7:10 And they that were sent, returning to the house, found the servant whole
that had been sick.
7:11 ○ 그 후에 예수께서 나인이란 성으로 가실새 제자와 허다한 무리가 동행하더니
7:11 And it came about, after a little time, that he went to a town named Nain; and his
disciples went with him, and a great number of people.
7:11 And it came to pass the day after, that he went into a city called Nain;
and many of his disciples went with him, and much people.
7:12 성문에 가까이 오실 때에 사람들이 한 죽은 자를 메고 나오니 이는 그 어미의
독자요 어미는 과부라 그 성의 많은 사람도 그와 함께 나오거늘
7:12 Now when he came near the door of the town, a dead man was being taken out, the
only son of his mother, who was a widow: and a great number of people from the town
were with her.
7:12 Now when he came nigh to the gate of the city, behold, there was a dead
man carried out, the only son of his mother, and she was a widow: and much people
of the city was with her.
7:13 주께서 과부를 보시고 불쌍히 여기사 울지 말라 하시고
7:13 And when the Lord saw her, he had pity on her and said to her, Be not sad.
7:13 And when the Lord saw her, he had compassion on her, and said unto her,
Weep not.
7:14 가까이 오사 그 관에 손을 대시니 멘 자들이 서는지라 예수께서 가라사대
청년아 내가 네게 말하노니 일어나라 하시매
7:14 And he came near, and put his hand on the stretcher where the dead man was: and
those who were moving it came to a stop. And he said, Young man, I say to you, Get
up.
7:14 And he came and touched the bier: and they that bare him stood still.
And he said, Young man, I say unto you, Arise.
7:15 죽었던 자가 일어 앉고 말도 하거늘 예수께서 그를 어미에게 주신대
7:15 And the dead man got up, and words came from his lips. And he gave him to his mother.
7:15 And he that was dead sat up, and began to speak. And he delivered him
to his mother.
7:16 모든 사람이 두려워하며 하나님께 영광을 돌려 가로되 큰 선지자가 우리
가운데 일어나셨다 하고 또 하나님께서 자기 백성을 돌아보셨다 하더라
7:16 And fear came on all, and they gave praise to God, saying, A great prophet is among
us: and, God has given thought to his people.
7:16 And there came a fear on all: and they glorified God, saying, That a
great prophet has risen up among us; and, That God has visited his people.
7:17 예수께 대한 이 소문이 온 유대와 사방에 두루 퍼지니라
7:17 And this story about him went through all Judaea and the places round about.
7:17 And this rumour (o. logos) of him went forth throughout all Judaea,
and throughout all the region round about.
7:18 ○ 요한의 제자들이 이 모든 일을 그에게 고하니
7:18 And the disciples of John gave him an account of all these things.
7:18 And the disciples of John showed him of all these things.
7:19 요한이 그 제자 중 둘을 불러 주께 보내어 가로되 오실 그이가 당신이오니이까
우리가 다른 이를 기다리오리이까 하라 하매
7:19 Then John sent two of his disciples to the Lord, saying, Are you he who is to come,
or are we waiting for another?
7:19 And John calling unto him two of his disciples sent them to Jesus, saying,
Are you he that should come? or look we for another?
7:20 저희가 예수께 나아가 가로되 세례 요한이 우리를 보내어 당신께 말하기를
오실 그이가 당신이오니이까 우리가 다른 이를 기다리오리이까 하더이다 하니
7:20 And when the men came to him they said, John the Baptist has sent us to you, saying,
Are you he who is to come, or are we waiting for another?
7:20 When the men were come unto him, they said, John Baptist has sent us
unto you, saying, Are you he that should come? or look we for another?
7:21 마침 그 시에 예수께서 질병과 고통과 및 악귀 들린 자를 많이 고치시며 또
많은 소경을 보게 하신지라
7:21 At that time, he made a number of people free from their diseases and their pains,
and from evil spirits; and to others who were blind he gave back the use of their
eyes.
7:21 And in that same hour he cured many of their infirmities and plagues,
and of evil spirits; (o. pneuma) and unto many that were blind he gave sight.
7:22 대답하여 가라사대 너희가 가서 보고 들은 것을 요한에게 고하되 소경이
보며 앉은뱅이가 걸으며 문둥이가 깨끗함을 받으며 귀머거리가 들으며 죽은 자가
살아나며 가난한 자에게 복음이 전파된다 하라
7:22 And answering them he said, Go back and give news to John of what you have seen,
and the things which have come to your ears; the blind now see, those who had no
power in their legs are walking, lepers are made clean, those who had no hearing
now have their ears open, dead men come to life again, and the poor have the good
news given to them.
7:22 Then Jesus answering said unto them, Go your way, and tell John what
things all of you have seen and heard; how that the blind see, the lame walk,
the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, to the poor the
gospel is preached.
7:23 누구든지 나를 인하여 실족하지 아니하는 자는 복이 있도다 하시니라
7:23 And a blessing will be on him who has no doubts about me.
7:23 And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me.
7:24 ○ 요한의 보낸 자가 떠난 후에 예수께서 무리에게 요한에 대하여 말씀하시되
너희가 무엇을 보려고 광야에 나갔더냐 바람에 흔들리는 갈대냐
7:24 And when the men who were sent by John had gone away, he said to the people, about
John, What did you go out into the waste land to see? a tall stem moving in the
wind?
7:24 And when the messengers of John were departed, he began to speak unto
the people concerning John, What went all of you out into the wilderness in
order to see? A reed shaken with the wind?
7:25 그러면 너희가 무엇을 보려고 나갔더냐 부드러운 옷 입은 사람이냐 보라
화려한 옷 입고 사치하게 지내는 자는 왕궁에 있느니라
7:25 But what did you go out to see? a man in soft clothing? See now, those who have
beautiful clothing and delicate food are in kings' houses.
7:25 But what went all of you out in order to see? A man clothed in soft
raiment? Behold, they which are gorgeously apparelled, and live delicately,
are in kings' courts.
7:26 그러면 너희가 무엇을 보려고 나갔더냐 선지자냐 옳다 내가 너희에게 이르노니
선지자보다도 나은 자니라
7:26 But what did you go out to see? a prophet? Yes, I say to you, and more than a prophet.
7:26 But what went all of you out in order to see? A prophet? Yea, I say
unto you, and much more than a prophet.
7:27 기록된 바 보라 내가 내 사자를 네 앞에 보내노니 그가 네 앞에서 네 길을
예비하리라 한 것이 이 사람에 대한 말씀이라
7:27 This is he of whom it has been said, See, I send my servant before your face, who
will make ready your way before you.
7:27 This is he, of whom it is written, Behold, I send my messenger before
your face, which shall prepare your way before you.
7:28 내가 너희에게 말하노니 여자가 낳은 자 중에 요한보다 큰 이가 없도다 그러나
하나님의 나라에서는 극히 작은 자라도 저보다 크니라 하시니
7:28 I say to you, Among all the sons of women, not one is greater than John: but he
who is least in the kingdom of God is greater than he.
7:28 For I say unto you, Among those that are born of women there is not
a greater prophet than John the Baptist: but he that is least in the kingdom
of God is greater than he.
7:29 모든 백성과 세리들은 이미 요한의 세례를 받은지라 이 말씀을 듣고 하나님을
의롭다 하되
7:29 (And all the people, and the tax-farmers, to whom John had given baptism, when they
had knowledge of these things, gave glory to God.
7:29 And all the people that heard him, and the publicans, justified God,
being baptized with the baptism of John.
7:30 오직 바리새인과 율법사들은 그 세례를 받지 아니한지라 스스로 하나님의
뜻을 저 버리니라
7:30 But the Pharisees and the teachers of the law were against the purpose of God for
themselves, not having had his baptism.)
7:30 But the Pharisees and lawyers rejected the counsel of God against themselves,
being not baptized of him.
7:31 또 가라사대 이 세대의 사람을 무엇으로 비유할꼬 무엇과 같은고
7:31 What comparison am I to make of the men of this generation? what are they like?
7:31 And the Lord said, Unto which then shall I liken the men of this generation?
and to what are they like?
7:32 비유컨대 아이들이 장터에 앉아 서로 불러 가로되 우리가 너희를 향하여
피리를 불어도 너희가 춤추지 않고 우리가 애곡을 하여도 너희가 울지 아니하였다
함과 같도다
7:32 They are like children who are seated in the market-place, crying out to one another,
and saying, We made music for you, but you did not take part in the dance; we gave
cries of sorrow, but you were not sad.
7:32 They are like unto children sitting in the marketplace, and calling
one to another, and saying, We have piped unto you, and all of you have not
danced; we have mourned to you, and all of you have not wept.
7:33 세례 요한이 와서 떡도 먹지 아니하며 포도주도 마시지 아니하매 너희 말이
귀신이 들렸다 하더니
7:33 For John the Baptist came, taking no food or drink, and you say, He has an evil
spirit.
7:33 For John the Baptist came neither eating bread nor drinking wine; and
all of you say, He has a devil.
7:34 인자는 와서 먹고 마시매 너희 말이 보라 먹기를 탐하고 포도주를 즐기는
사람이요 세리와 죄인의 친구로다 하니
7:34 The Son of man came feasting, and you say, Here is a lover of food and wine, a friend
of tax-farmers and sinners.
7:34 The Son of man has come eating and drinking; and all of you say, Behold
a gluttonous man, and a wine indulger, a friend of publicans and sinners!
7:35 지혜는 자기의 모든 자녀로 인하여 옳다 함을 얻느니라
7:35 But wisdom is judged to be right by all her children.
7:35 But wisdom is justified of all her children.
7:36 ○ 한 바리새인이 예수께 자기와 함께 잡수시기를 청하니 이에 바리새인의
집에 들어가 앉으셨을 때에
7:36 And one of the Pharisees made a request that he would take a meal with him. And
he went into the Pharisee's house and took his seat at the table.
7:36 And one of the Pharisees desired him that he would eat with him. And
he went into the Pharisee's house, and sat down to food.
7:37 그 동네에 죄인인 한 여자가 있어 예수께서 바리새인의 집에 앉으셨음을
알고 향유 담은 옥합을 가지고 와서
7:37 And there was a woman in the town who was a sinner; and when she had news that he
was a guest in the Pharisee's house, she took a bottle of perfume,
7:37 And, behold, a woman in the city, which was a sinner, when she knew
that Jesus sat at food in the Pharisee's house, brought an alabaster box of
ointment,
7:38 예수의 뒤로 그 발 곁에 서서 울며 눈물로 그 발을 적시고 자기 머리털로
씻고 그 발에 입맞추고 향유를 부으니
7:38 And went in and took her place at the back of him, near his feet, weeping, so that
his feet were washed with the drops from her eyes, and with her hair she made them
dry, and kissing his feet she put the perfume on them.
7:38 And stood at his feet behind him weeping, and began to wash his feet
with tears, and did wipe them with the hairs of her head, and kissed his feet,
and anointed them with the ointment.
7:39 예수를 청한 바리새인이 이것을 보고 마음에 이르되 이 사람이 만일 선지자더면
자기를 만지는 이 여자가 누구며 어떠한 자 곧 죄인인 줄을 알았으리라 하거늘
7:39 Now when the Pharisee in whose house he was saw it, he said to himself, This man,
if he was a prophet, would be conscious what sort of woman this is who has put her
hands on him, that she is a sinner.
7:39 Now when the Pharisee which had bidden him saw it, he spoke within himself,
saying, This man, if he were a prophet, would have known who and what manner
of woman this is that touches him: for she is a sinner.
7:40 예수께서 대답하여 가라사대 시몬아 내가 네게 이를 말이 있다 하시니 저가
가로되 선생님 말씀하소서
7:40 And Jesus, answering, said, Simon, I have something to say to you. And he said,
Master, say on.
7:40 And Jesus answering said unto him, Simon, I have somewhat to say unto
you. And he says, Master, say on.
7:41 가라사대 빚 주는 사람에게 빚 진 자가 둘이 있어 하나는 오백 데나리온을
졌고 하나는 오십 데나리온을 졌는데
7:41 And he said, Two men were in debt to a certain man of business: one had a debt of
five hundred pence, and the other of fifty.
7:41 There was a certain creditor which had two debtors: the one owed five
hundred pence, and the other fifty.
7:42 갚을 것이 없으므로 둘 다 탕감하여 주었으니 둘 중에 누가 저를 더 사랑하겠느냐
7:42 When they were unable to make payment, he made the two of them free of their debts.
Which of them, now, will have the greater love for him?
7:42 And when they had nothing to pay, he frankly forgave them both. Tell
me therefore, which of them will love him most?
7:43 시몬이 대답하여 가로되 제 생각에는 많이 탕감함을 받은 자니이다 가라사대
네 판단이 옳다 하시고
7:43 Simon, in answer, said, It seems he whose debt was greater. And he said, Your decision
is right.
7:43 Simon answered and said, I suppose that he, to whom he forgave most.
And he said unto him, You have rightly judged.
7:44 여자를 돌아보시며 시몬에게 이르시되 이 여자를 보느냐 내가 네 집에 들어오매 너는 내게 발 씻을 물도 주지 아니하였으되 이 여자는 눈물로 내 발을 적시고
그 머리털로 씻었으며
7:44 And turning to the woman he said to Simon, You see this woman? I came into your
house; you did not give me water for my feet: but she has been washing my feet with
the drops from her eyes, and drying them with her hair.
7:44 And he turned to the woman, and said unto Simon, See you this woman?
I entered into yours house, you gave me no water for my feet: but she has washed
my feet with tears, and wiped them with the hairs of her head.
7:45 너는 내게 입맞추지 아니하였으되 저는 내가 들어올 때로부터 내 발에 입맞추기를
그치지 아니하였으며
7:45 You did not give me a kiss: but she, from the time when I came in, has gone on kissing
my feet.
7:45 You gave me no kiss: but this woman since the time I came in has not
ceased to kiss my feet.
7:46 너는 내 머리에 감람유도 붓지 아니하였으되 저는 향유를 내 발에 부었느니라
7:46 You put no oil on my head: but she has put perfume on my feet.
7:46 My head with oil you did not anoint: but this woman has anointed my
feet with ointment.
7:47 이러므로 내가 네게 말하노니 저의 많은 죄가 사하여졌도다 이는 저의 사랑함이
많음이라 사함을 받은 일이 적은 자는 적게 사랑하느니라
7:47 And so I say to you, She will have forgiveness for her sins which are great in number,
because of her great love: but he who has small need of forgiveness gives little
love.
7:47 Wherefore I say unto you, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for
she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, the same loves little.
7:48 이에 여자에게 이르시되 네 죄 사함을 얻었느니라 하시니
7:48 And he said to her, You have forgiveness for your sins.
7:48 And he said unto her, Your sins are forgiven.
7:49 함께 앉은 자들이 속으로 말하되 이가 누구이기에 죄도 사하는가 하더라
7:49 And those who were seated at table with him said to themselves, Who is this who
even gives forgiveness of sins?
7:49 And they that sat at food with him began to say within themselves, Who
is this that forgives sins also?
7:50 예수께서 여자에게 이르시되 네 믿음이 너를 구원하였으니 평안히 가라 하시니라
7:50 And he said to the woman, By your faith you have salvation; go in peace.
7:50 And he said to the woman, Your faith has saved you; go in peace.
8:1 이 후에 예수께서 각 성과 촌에 두루 다니시며 하나님의 나라를 반포하시며
그 복음을 전하실새 열 두 제자가 함께 하였고
8:1 And it came about, after a short time, that he went through town and country giving
the good news of the kingdom of God, and with him were the twelve,
8:1 And it came to pass afterward, that he went throughout every city and
village, preaching and showing the glad tidings of the kingdom of God: and the
twelve were with him,
8:2 또한 악귀를 쫓아내심과 병 고침을 받은 어떤 여자들 곧 일곱 귀신이 나간
자 막달라인이라 하는 마리아와
8:2 And certain women who had been made free from evil spirits and diseases, Mary named
Magdalene, from whom seven evil spirits had gone out,
8:2 And certain women, which had been healed of evil spirits (o. pneuma)
and infirmities, Mary called Magdalene, out of whom went seven devils,
8:3 또 헤롯의 청직이 구사의 아내 요안나와 또 수산나와 다른 여러 여자가 함께
하여
자기들의 소유로 저희를 섬기더라
8:3 And Joanna, the wife of Chuza, Herod's chief house-servant, and Susanna and a number
of others, who gave him of their wealth for his needs.
8:3 And Joanna the wife of Chuza Herod's steward, and Susanna, and many others,
which ministered unto him of their substance.
8:4 ○ 각 동네 사람들이 예수께로 나아와 큰 무리를 이루니 예수께서 비유로
말씀하시되
8:4 And when a great number of people came together, and men from every town went out
to him, he gave them teaching in the form of a story:
8:4 And when much people were gathered together, and were come to him out
of every city, he spoke by a parable:
8:5 씨를 뿌리는 자가 그 씨를 뿌리러 나가서 뿌릴새 더러는 길 가에 떨어지매
밟히며 공중의 새들이 먹어 버렸고
8:5 A man went out to put in seed, and while he was doing it, some was dropped by the
wayside and it was crushed under foot, and was taken by the birds of heaven.
8:5 A sower went out to sow his seed: and as he sowed, some fell by the way
side; and it was trodden down, and the fowls of the air devoured it.
8:6 더러는 바위 위에 떨어지매 났다가 습기가 없으므로 말랐고
8:6 And some went on the rock, and when it came up it became dry and dead because it
had no water.
8:6 And some fell upon a rock; and as soon as it was sprung up, it withered
away, because it lacked moisture.
8:7 더러는 가시떨기 속에 떨어지매 가시가 함께 자라서 기운을 막았고
8:7 And some went among thorns, and the thorns came up with it and it had no room for
growth.
8:7 And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprang up with it, and choked
it.
8:8 더러는 좋은 땅에 떨어지매 나서 백 배의 결실을 하였느니라 이 말씀을 하시고
외치시되 들을 귀 있는 자는 들을지어다
8:8 And some falling on good earth, came up and gave fruit a hundred times as much.
And with these words he said in a loud voice, He who has ears, let him give ear.
8:8 And other fell on good ground, and sprang up, and bare fruit an hundredfold.
And when he had said these things, he cried, He that has ears to hear, let him
hear.
8:9 ○ 제자들이 이 비유의 뜻을 물으니
8:9 And his disciples put questions to him about the point of the story.
8:9 And his disciples asked him, saying, What might this parable be?
8:10 가라사대 하나님 나라의 비밀을 아는 것이 너희에게는 허락되었으나 다른
사람에게는 비유로 하나니 이는 저희로 보아도 보지 못하고 들어도 깨닫지 못하게
하려 함이니라
8:10 And he said, To you is given knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of God; but
to the others, they are given in stories, so that seeing, they may not see, and
though they give hearing, the sense will not be clear to them.
8:10 And he said, Unto you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom
of God: but to others in parables; that seeing they might not see, and hearing
they might not understand.
8:11 이 비유는 이러하니라 씨는 하나님의 말씀이요
8:11 Now this is the point of the story: The seed is the word of God.
8:11 Now the parable is this: The seed is the word (o. logos) of God.
8:12 길 가에 있다는 것은 말씀을 들은 자니 이에 마귀가 와서 그들로 믿어 구원을
얻지 못하게 하려고 말씀을 그 마음에서 빼앗는 것이요
8:12 Those by the side of the road are those who have given hearing; then the Evil One
comes and takes away the word from their hearts, so that they may not have faith
and get salvation.
8:12 Those by the way side are they that hear; then comes the devil, and
takes away the word (o. logos) out of their hearts, lest they should believe
and be saved.
8:13 바위 위에 있다는 것은 말씀을 들을 때에 기쁨으로 받으나 뿌리가 없어 잠깐
믿다가 시험을 받을 때에 배반하는 자요
8:13 And those on the rock are those who with joy give hearing to the word; but having
no root, they have faith for a time, and when the test comes they give up.
8:13 They on the rock are they, which, when they hear, receive the word (o.
logos) with joy; and these have no root, which for a while believe, and in time
of temptation fall away.
8:14 가시떨기에 떨어졌다는 것은 말씀을 들은 자니 지내는 중 이생의 염려와
재리와 일락에 기운이 막혀 온전히 결실치 못하는 자요
8:14 And those which went among thorns are those who have given hearing, and go on their
way, but they are overcome by cares and wealth and the pleasures of life, and they
give no fruit.
8:14 And that which fell among thorns are they, which, when they have heard,
go forth, and are choked with cares and riches and pleasures of this life, and
bring no fruit to perfection.
8:15 좋은 땅에 있다는 것은 착하고 좋은 마음으로 말씀을 듣고 지키어 인내로
결실하는 자니라
8:15 And those in the good earth are those who, having given ear to the word, keep it
with a good and true heart, and in quiet strength give fruit.
8:15 But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart,
having heard the word, (o. logos) keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.
8:16 ○ 누구든지 등불을 켜서 그릇으로 덮거나 평상 아래 두지 아니하고 등경
위에 두나니 이는 들어가는 자들로 그 빛을 보게 하려 함이라
8:16 No man, when the light is lighted, puts a cover over it, or puts it under a bed,
but he puts it on its table, so that those who come in may see the light.
8:16 No man, when he has lighted a candle, covers it with a vessel, or puts
it under a bed; but sets it on a candlestick, that they which enter in may see
the light.
8:17 숨은 것이 장차 드러나지 아니할 것이 없고 감추인 것이 장차 알려지고 나타나지
않을 것이 없느니라
8:17 For nothing is put out of view which will not be made clear, and nothing is secret
of which the knowledge will not come to light.
8:17 For nothing is secret, that shall not be made manifest; neither any
thing hid, that shall not be known and come abroad.
8:18 그러므로 너희가 어떻게 듣는가 스스로 삼가라 누구든지 있는 자는 받겠고
없는 자는 그 있는 줄로 아는 것까지 빼앗기리라 하시니라
8:18 So take care how you give hearing, for to him who has will be given, and from him
who has not will be taken even what he seems to have.
8:18 Take heed therefore how all of you hear: for whosoever has, to him shall
be given; and whosoever has not, from him shall be taken even that which he
seems to have.
8:19 ○ 예수의 모친과 그 동생들이 왔으나 무리를 인하여 가까이 하지 못하니
8:19 And his mother and his brothers came to him, and they were not able to get near
him because of the great number of people.
8:19 Then came to him his mother and his brethren, and could not come at
him for the press.
8:20 혹이 고하되 당신의 모친과 동생들이 당신을 보려고 밖에 섰나이다
8:20 And someone said to him, Your mother and your brothers are outside desiring to see
you.
8:20 And it was told him by certain which said, Your mother and your brethren
stand without, desiring to see you.
8:21 예수께서 대답하여 가라사대 내 모친과 내 동생들은 곧 하나님의 말씀을
듣고 행하는 이 사람들이라 하시니라
8:21 But he said to them in answer, My mother and my brothers are those who have knowledge
of the word of God and do it.
8:21 And he answered and said unto them, My mother and my brethren are these
which hear the word (o. logos) of God, and do it.
8:22 ○ 하루는 제자들과 함께 배에 오르사 저희에게 이르시되 호수 저편으로
건너가자 하시매 이에 떠나
8:22 Now it came about on one of those days that he got into a boat with his disciples;
and he said to them, Let us go over to the other side of the water: and they put
out the boat.
8:22 Now it came to pass on a certain day, that he went into a ship with
his disciples: and he said unto them, Let us go over unto the other side of
the lake. And they launched forth.
8:23 행선할 때에 예수께서 잠이 드셨더니 마침 광풍이 호수로 내리치매 배에
물이 가득하게 되어 위태한지라
8:23 But while they were sailing he went to sleep: and a storm of wind came down on the
sea, and the boat became full of water and they were in danger.
8:23 But as they sailed he fell asleep: and there came down a storm of wind
on the lake; and they were filled with water, and were in jeopardy.
8:24 제자들이 나아와 깨워 가로되 주여 주여 우리가 죽겠나이다 한 대 예수께서
잠을 깨사 바람과 물결을 꾸짖으시니 이에 그쳐 잔잔하여지더라
8:24 Then they came to him and, awaking him out of his sleep, said, Master, Master, destruction
is near. And he, when he was awake, gave orders to the wind and the rolling waves,
and the storm came to an end, and all was calm.
8:24 And they came to him, and awoke him, saying, Master, master, we perish.
Then he arose, and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water: and they ceased,
and there was a calm.
8:25 제자들에게 이르시되 너희 믿음이 어디 있느냐 하시니 저희가 두려워하고
기이히 여겨 서로 말하되 저가 뉘기에 바람과 물을 명하매 순종하는고 하더라
8:25 And he said to them, Where is your faith? And fear and wonder overcame them, and
they said to one another, Who then is this, who gives orders even to the winds and
the water and they do what he says?
8:25 And he said unto them, Where is your faith? And they being afraid wondered,
saying one to another, What manner of man is this! for he commands even the
winds and water, and they obey him.
8:26 ○ 갈릴리 맞은편 거라사인의 땅에 이르러
8:26 And they came to the country of the Gerasenes, which is opposite Galilee.
8:26 And they arrived at the country of the Gadarenes, which is opposite
to Galilee.
8:27 육지에 내리시매 그 도시 사람으로서 귀신 들린 자 하나가 예수를 만나니
이 사람은 오래 옷을 입지 아니하며 집에 거하지도 아니하고 무덤 사이에 거하는
자라
8:27 And when he had come to the land, there came to him a certain man from the town
who had evil spirits; and for a long time he had had no clothing on, and was not
living in a house but in the place of the dead.
8:27 And when he went forth to land, there met him out of the city a certain
man, which had devils long time, and ware no clothes, neither abode in any house,
but in the tombs.
8:28 예수를 보고 부르짖으며 그 앞에 엎드리어 큰 소리로 불러 가로되 지극히
높으신 하나님의 아들 예수여 나와 당신과 무슨 상관이 있나이까 당신께 구하노니
나를 괴롭게 마옵소서 하니
8:28 And when he saw Jesus, he gave a loud cry and went down on the earth before him
and in a loud voice said, What have I to do with you, Jesus, Son of the Most High
God? Do not be cruel to me.
8:28 When he saw Jesus, he cried out, and fell down before him, and with
a loud voice said, What have I to do with you, Jesus, you Son of God most high?
I plead to you, torment me not.
8:29 이는 예수께서 이미 더러운 귀신을 명하사 이 사람에게서 나오라 하셨음이라(귀신이
가끔 이 사람을 붙잡으므로 저가 쇠사슬과 고랑에 매이어 지키웠으되 그 맨 것을
끊고 귀신에게 몰려 광야로 나갔더라)
8:29 For he gave an order to the evil spirit to come out of the man. For frequently it
would take a grip of him: and he was kept under control, and prisoned with chains;
but parting the chains in two, he would be sent by the driving of the evil spirit
into waste places.
8:29 (For he had commanded the unclean spirit (o. pneuma) to come out of
the man. For oftentimes it had caught him: and he was kept bound with chains
and in fetters; and he brake the bands, and was driven of the devil into the
wilderness.)
8:30 예수께서 네 이름이 무엇이냐 물으신즉 가로되 군대라 하니 이는 많은 귀신이
들렸음이라
8:30 And Jesus said to him, What is your name? And he said, Legion; for a number of spirits
had gone into him.
8:30 And Jesus asked him, saying, What is your name? And he said, Legion:
because many devils were entered into him.
8:31 무저갱으로 들어가라 하지 마시기를 간구하더니
8:31 And they made a request to him that he would not give them an order to go away into
the deep.
8:31 And they besought him that he would not command them to go out into
the deep.
8:32 마침 거기 많은 돼지 떼가 산에서 먹고 있는지라 귀신들이 그 돼지에게로
들어가게 허하심을 간구하니 이에 허하신대
8:32 Now there was a great herd of pigs in that place, getting food on the mountain:
and the evil spirits made a request to him that he would let them go into the pigs,
and he let them.
8:32 And there was there an herd of many swine feeding on the mountain: and
they besought him that he would suffer them to enter into them. And he suffered
them.
8:33 귀신들이 그 사람에게서 나와 돼지에게로 들어가니 그 떼가 비탈로 내리달아
호수에 들어가 몰사하거늘
8:33 And the evil spirits came out of the man and went into the pigs: and the herd went
rushing down a sharp slope into the water and came to destruction.
8:33 Then went the devils out of the man, and entered into the swine: and
the herd ran violently down a steep place into the lake, and were choked.
8:34 치던 자들이 그 된 것을 보고 도망하여 성내와 촌에 고하니
8:34 And when the men who took care of them saw what had come about, they went quickly
and gave news of it in the town and the country.
8:34 When they that fed them saw what was done, they fled, and went and told
it in the city and in the country.
8:35 사람들이 그 된 것을 보러 나와서 예수께 이르러 귀신 나간 사람이 옷을
입고 정신이 온전하여 예수의 발 아래 앉은 것을 보고 두려워하거늘
8:35 And they went out to see what had taken place, and they came to Jesus and saw the
man out of whom the evil spirits had gone, seated, clothed and with full use of
his senses, at the feet of Jesus; and fear came on them.
8:35 Then they went out to see what was done; and came to Jesus, and found
the man, out of whom the devils were departed, sitting at the feet of Jesus,
clothed, and in his right mind: and they were afraid.
8:36 귀신 들렸던 자의 어떻게 구원 받은 것을 본 자들이 저희에게 이르매
8:36 And those who had seen it gave them an account of how the man who had the evil spirits
was made well.
8:36 They also which saw it told them by what means he that was possessed
of the devils was healed.
8:37 거라사인의 땅 근방 모든 백성이 크게 두려워하여 떠나가시기를 구하더라
예수께서 배에 올라 돌아가실새
8:37 And all the people of the country of the Gerasenes made a request to him to go away
from them; for they were in great fear: and he got into a boat and went back.
8:37 Then the whole multitude of the country of the Gadarenes round about
besought him to depart from them; for they were taken with great fear: and he
went up into the ship, and returned back again.
8:38 귀신 나간 사람이 함께 있기를 구하였으나 예수께서 저를 보내시며 가라사대
8:38 But the man from whom the evil spirits had gone out had a great desire to be with
him, but he sent him away, saying,
8:38 Now the man out of whom the devils were departed besought him that he
might be with him: but Jesus sent him away, saying,
8:39 집으로 돌아가 하나님이 네게 어떻게 큰 일 행하신 것을 일일이 고하라 하시니
저가 가서 예수께서 자기에게 어떻게 큰 일 하신 것을 온 성내에 전파하니라
8:39 Go back to your house and let them have news of all the great things which God has
done for you. And he went away, giving word through all the town of the great things
which Jesus had done for him.
8:39 Return to yours own house, and show how great things God has done unto
you. And he went his way, and published throughout the whole city how great
things Jesus had done unto him.
8:40 ○ 예수께서 돌아오시매 무리가 환영하니 이는 다 기다렸음이러라
8:40 And when Jesus went back, the people were glad to see him, for they were all waiting
for him.
8:40 And it came to pass, that, when Jesus was returned, the people gladly
received him: for they were all waiting for him.
8:41 이에 회당장인 야이로라 하는 사람이 와서 예수의 발 아래 엎드려 자기 집에
오시기를 간구하니
8:41 Then there came a man named Jairus, who was a ruler in the Synagogue: and he went
down at the feet of Jesus, desiring him to come to his house;
8:41 And, behold, there came a man named Jairus, and he was a ruler of the
synagogue: and he fell down at Jesus' feet, and besought him that he would come
into his house:
8:42 이는 자기에게 열 두 살 먹은 외딸이 있어 죽어감이러라 ○ 예수께서 가실
때에 무리가 옹위하더라
8:42 For he had an only daughter, about twelve years old, and she was near to death.
But while he was on his way, the people were pushing to be near him.
8:42 For he had one only daughter, about twelve years of age, and she lay
a dying. But as he went the people thronged him.
8:43 이에 열 두 해를 혈루증으로 앓는 중에 아무에게도 고침을 받지 못하던 여자가
8:43 And a woman, who had had a flow of blood for twelve years, and had given all her
money to medical men, and not one of them was able to make her well,
8:43 And a woman having an issue of blood twelve years, which had spent all
her living upon physicians, neither could be healed of any,
8:44 예수의 뒤로 와서 그 옷 가에 손을 대니 혈루증이 즉시 그쳤더라
8:44 Came after him and put her hand on the edge of his robe, and straight away the flowing
of her blood was stopped.
8:44 Came behind him, and touched the border of his garment: and immediately
her issue of blood stopped.
8:45 예수께서 가라사대 내게 손을 댄 자가 누구냐 하시니 다 아니라 할 때에
베드로가 가로되 주여 무리가 옹위하여 미나이다
8:45 And Jesus said, Who was touching me? And when they all said, It is not I, Peter
and those who were with him said, Master, the people are pushing round you on every
side.
8:45 And Jesus said, Who touched me? When all denied, Peter and they that
were with him said, Master, the multitude crowd upon you and press you, and
says you, Who touched me?
8:46 예수께서 가라사대 내게 손을 댄 자가 있도다 이는 내게서 능력이 나간 줄
앎이로다 하신대
8:46 But Jesus said, Someone was touching me, for I had the feeling that power had gone
out from me.
8:46 And Jesus said, Somebody has touched me: for I perceive that virtue
is gone out of me.
8:47 여자가 스스로 숨기지 못할 줄을 알고 떨며 나아와 엎드리어 그 손 댄 연고와
곧 나은 것을 모든 사람 앞에서 고하니
8:47 And when the woman saw that she was not able to keep it secret, she came, shaking
with fear, and falling down before him she made clear before all the people the
reason for her touching him, and how she was made well straight away.
8:47 And when the woman saw that she was not hid, she came trembling, and
falling down before him, she declared unto him before all the people for what
cause she had touched him, and how she was healed immediately.
8:48 예수께서 이르시되 딸아 네 믿음이 너를 구원하였으니 평안히 가라 하시더라
8:48 And he said to her, Daughter, your faith has made you well; go in peace.
8:48 And he said unto her, Daughter, be of good comfort: your faith has made
you whole; go in peace.
8:49 ○ 아직 말씀하실 때에 회당장의 집에서 사람이 와서 말하되 당신의 딸이
죽었나이다 선생을 더 괴롭게 마소서 하거늘
8:49 While he was still talking, someone came from the house of the ruler of the Synagogue,
saying, Your daughter is dead; do not go on troubling the Master.
8:49 While he yet spoke, there comes one from the ruler of the synagogue's
house, saying to him, Your daughter is dead; trouble not the Master.
8:50 예수께서 들으시고 가라사대 두려워 말고 믿기만 하라 그리하면 딸이 구원을
얻으리라 하시고
8:50 But Jesus at these words said to him, Have no fear, only have faith, and she will
be made well.
8:50 But when Jesus heard it, he answered him, saying, Fear not: believe
only, and she shall be made whole.
8:51 집에 이르러 베드로와 요한과 야고보와 및 아이의 부모 외에는 함께 들어가기를
허하지 아니하시니라
8:51 And when he came to the house he did not let any man go in with him, but only Peter
and John and James, and the father of the girl and her mother.
8:51 And when he came into the house, he suffered no man to go in, save Peter,
and James, and John, and the father and the mother of the maiden.
8:52 모든 사람이 아이를 위하여 울며 통곡하매 예수께서 이르시되 울지 말라
죽은 것이 아니라 잔다 하시니
8:52 And all the people were weeping and crying for her; but he said, Do not be sad,
for she is not dead, but sleeping.
8:52 And all wept, and bewailed her: but he said, Weep not; she is not dead,
but sleeps.
8:53 저희가 그 죽은 것을 아는 고로 비웃더라
8:53 And they were laughing at him, being certain that she was dead.
8:53 And they laughed him to scorn, knowing that she was dead.
8:54 예수께서 아이의 손을 잡고 불러 가라사대 아이야 일어나라 하시니
8:54 But he, taking her hand, said to her, My child, get up.
8:54 And he put them all out, and took her by the hand, and called, saying,
Maid, arise.
8:55 그 영이 돌아와 아이가 곧 일어나거늘 예수께서 먹을 것을 주라 명하신대
8:55 And her spirit came back to her and she got up straight away: and he gave orders
that food was to be given to her.
8:55 And her spirit (o. pneuma) came again, and she arose immediately: and
he commanded to give her food.
8:56 그 부모가 놀라는지라 예수께서 경계하사 이 일을 아무에게도 말하지 말라
하시니라
8:56 And her father and mother were full of wonder, but he gave orders to them to say
nothing about it to anyone.
8:56 And her parents were astonished: but he charged them that they should
tell no man what was done.
