1:1 아브라함과 다윗의 자손 예수 그리스도의 세계라
1:1 The book of the generation of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son
of Abraham.

1:2 아브라함이 이삭을 낳고 이삭은 야곱을 낳고 야곱은 유다와 그의 형제를 낳고
1:2 The son of Abraham was Isaac; and the son of Isaac was Jacob; and the sons of Jacob
were Judah and his brothers;
1:2 Abraham brings forth Isaac; and Isaac brings forth Jacob; and Jacob brings
forth Judas and his brethren;
1:3 유다는 다말에게서 베레스와 세라를 낳고 베레스는 헤스론을 낳고 헤스론은
람을 낳고
1:3 And the sons of Judah were Perez and Zerah by Tamar; and the son of Perez was Hezron;
and the son of Hezron was Ram;
1:3 And Judas brings forth Phares and Zara of Thamar; and Phares brings forth
Esrom; and Esrom brings forth Aram;
1:4 람은 아미나답을 낳고 아미나답은 나손을 낳고 나손은 살몬을 낳고
1:4 And the son of Ram was Amminadab; and the son of Amminadab was Nahshon; and the
son of Nahshon was Salmon;
1:4 And Aram brings forth Aminadab; and Aminadab brings forth Naasson; and Naasson brings forth Salmon;
1:5 살몬은 라합에게서 보아스를 낳고 보아스는 룻에게서 오벳을 낳고 오벳은
이새를 낳고
1:5 And the son of Salmon by Rahab was Boaz; and the son of Boaz by Ruth was Obed; and
the son of Obed was Jesse;
1:5 And Salmon brings forth Booz of Rachab; and Booz brings forth Obed of
Ruth; and Obed brings forth Jesse;
1:6 이새는 다윗왕을 낳으니라 ○ 다윗은 우리야의 아내에게서 솔로몬을 낳고
1:6 And the son of Jesse was David the king; and the son of David was Solomon by her
who had been the wife of Uriah;
1:6 And Jesse brings forth David the king; and David the king brings forth
Solomon of her that had been the wife of Urias;
1:7 솔로몬은 르호보암을 낳고 르호보암은 아비야를 낳고 아비야는 아사를 낳고
1:7 And the son of Solomon was Rehoboam; and the son of Rehoboam was Abijah; and the
son of Abijah was Asa;
1:7 And Solomon brings forth Roboam; and Roboam brings forth Abia; and Abia
brings forth Asa;
1:8 아사는 여호사밧을 낳고 여호사밧은 요람을 낳고 요람은 웃시야를 낳고
1:8 And the son of Asa was Jehoshaphat; and the son of Jehoshaphat was Joram; and the
son of Joram was Uzziah;
1:8 And Asa brings forth Josaphat; and Josaphat brings forth Joram; and Joram brings forth Ozias;
1:9 웃시야는 요담을 낳고 요담은 아하스를 낳고 아하스는 히스기야를 낳고
1:9 And the son of Uzziah was Jotham; and the son of Jotham was Ahaz; and the son of
Ahaz was Hezekiah;
1:9 And Ozias brings forth Joatham; and Joatham brings forth Achaz; and Achaz
brings forth Ezekias;
1:10 히스기야는 므낫세를 낳고 므낫세는 아몬을 낳고 아몬은 요시야를 낳고
1:10 And the son of Hezekiah was Manasseh; and the son of Manasseh was Amon; and the
son of Amon was Josiah;
1:10 And Ezekias brings forth Manasses; and Manasses brings forth Amon; and
Amon brings forth Josias;
1:11 바벨론으로 이거할 때에 요시야는 여고냐와 그의 형제를 낳으니라
1:11 And the sons of Josiah were Jechoniah and his brothers, at the time of the taking
away to Babylon.
1:11 And Josias brings forth Jechonias and his brethren, about the time they
were carried away to Babylon:
1:12 ○ 바벨론으로 이거한 후에 여고냐는 스알디엘을 낳고 스알디엘은 스룹바벨을
낳고
1:12 And after the taking away to Babylon, Jechoniah had a son Shealtiel; and Shealtiel
had Zerubbabel;
1:12 And after they were brought to Babylon, Jechonias brings forth Salathiel;
and Salathiel brings forth Zorobabel;
1:13 스룹바벨은 아비훗을 낳고 아비훗은 엘리아김을 낳고 엘리아김은 아소르를
낳고
1:13 And Zerubbabel had Abiud; and Abiud had Eliakim; and Eliakim had Azor;
1:13 And Zorobabel brings forth Abiud; and Abiud brings forth Eliakim; and
Eliakim brings forth Azor;
1:14 아소르는 사독을 낳고 사독은 아킴를 낳고 아킴은 엘리웃을 낳고
1:14 And Azor had Zadok; and Zadok had Achim; and Achim had Eliud;
1:14 And Azor brings forth Sadoc; and Sadoc brings forth Achim; and Achim
brings forth Eliud;
1:15 엘리웃은 엘르아살을 낳고 엘르아살은 맛단을 낳고 맛단은 야곱을 낳고
1:15 And Eliud had Eleazar; and Eleazar had Matthan; and Matthan had Jacob;
1:15 And Eliud brings forth Eleazar; and Eleazar brings forth Matthan; and
Matthan brings forth Jacob;
1:16 야곱은 마리아의 남편 요셉을 낳았으니 마리아에게서 그리스도라 칭하는
예수가 나시니라
1:16 And the son of Jacob was Joseph the husband of Mary, who gave birth to Jesus, whose
name is Christ.
1:16 And Jacob brings forth Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born
Jesus, who is called Christ.
1:17 ○ 그런즉 모든 대 수가 아브라함부터 다윗까지 열 네 대요 다윗부터 바벨론으로
이거할 때까지 열 네 대요 바벨론으로 이거한 후부터 그리스도까지 열 네 대러라
1:17 So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations; and from
David to the taking away to Babylon, fourteen generations; and from the taking away
to Babylon to the coming of Christ, fourteen generations.
1:17 So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations;
and from David until the carrying away into Babylon are fourteen generations;
and from the carrying away into Babylon unto Christ are fourteen generations.
1:18 ○ 예수 그리스도의 나심은 이러하니라 그 모친 마리아가 요셉과 정혼하고
동거하기 전에 성령으로 잉태된 것이 나타났더니
1:18 Now the birth of Jesus Christ was in this way: when his mother Mary was going to
be married to Joseph, before they came together the discovery was made that she
was with child by the Holy Spirit.
1:18 Now the birth of Jesus Christ was likewise: When as his mother Mary
was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child
of the Holy Spirit. (o. pneuma)
1:19 그 남편 요셉은 의로운 사람이라 저를 드러내지 아니하고 가만히 끊고자
하여
1:19 And Joseph, her husband, being an upright man, and not desiring to make her a public
example, had a mind to put her away privately.
1:19 Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her
a public example, was minded to put her away privately.
1:20 이 일을 생각할 때에 주의 사자가 현몽하여 가로되 다윗의 자손 요셉아 네
아내 마리아 데려오기를 무서워 말라 저에게 잉태된 자는 성령으로 된 것이라
1:20 But when he was giving thought to these things, an angel of the Lord came to him
in a dream, saying, Joseph, son of David, have no fear of taking Mary as your wife;
because that which is in her body is of the Holy Spirit.
1:20 But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the LORD
appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, you son of David, fear not to
take unto you Mary your wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy
Spirit. (o. pneuma)
1:21 아들을 낳으리니 이름을 예수라 하라 이는 그가 자기 백성을 저희 죄에서
구원할 자이심이라 하니라
1:21 And she will give birth to a son; and you will give him the name Jesus; for he will
give his people salvation from their sins.
1:21 And she shall bring forth a son, and you shall call his name JESUS:
for he shall save his people from their sins.
1:22 이 모든 일의 된 것은 주께서 선지자로 하신 말씀을 이루려 하심이니 가라사대
1:22 Now all this took place so that the word of the Lord by the prophet might come true,
1:22 Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of
the Lord by the prophet, saying,
1:23 보라 처녀가 잉태하여 아들을 낳을 것이요 그 이름은 임마누엘이라
하리라 하셨으니 이를 번역한즉 하나님이 우리와 함께 계시다 함이라
1:23 See, the virgin will be with child, and will give birth to a son, and they will
give him the name Immanuel, that is, God with us.
1:23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and
they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.
1:24 요셉이 잠을 깨어 일어나서 주의 사자의 분부대로 행하여 그 아내를 데려왔으나
1:24 And Joseph did as the angel of the Lord had said to him, and took her as his wife;
1:24 Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had
bidden him, and took unto him his wife:
1:25 아들을 낳기까지 동침치 아니하더니 낳으매 이름을 예수라 하니라
1:25 And he had no connection with her till she had given birth to a son; and he gave
him the name Jesus.
1:25 And had sexual contact with her not till she had brought forth her firstborn
son: and he called his name JESUS.
2:1 헤롯 왕 때에 예수께서 유대 베들레헴에서 나시매 동방으로부터 박사들이 예루살렘에
이르러 말하되
2:1 Now when the birth of Jesus took place in Beth-lehem of Judaea, in the days of Herod
the king, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem,
2:1 Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the
king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem,
2:2 유대인의 왕으로 나신 이가 어디 계시뇨 우리가 동방에서 그의 별을 보고
그에게 경배하러 왔노라 하니
2:2 Saying, Where is the King of the Jews whose birth has now taken place? We have seen
his star in the east and have come to give him worship.
2:2 Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his
star in the east, and are come to worship him.
2:3 헤롯 왕과 온 예루살렘이 듣고 소동한지라
2:3 And when it came to the ears of Herod the king, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem
with him.
2:3 When Herod the king had heard these things, he was troubled, and all
Jerusalem with him.
2:4 왕이 모든 대제사장과 백성의 서기관들을 모아 그리스도가 어디서 나겠느뇨
물으니
2:4 And he got together all the chief priests and scribes of the people, questioning
them as to where the birth-place of the Christ would be.
2:4 And when he had gathered all the chief priests and scribes of the people
together, he demanded of them where Christ should be born.
2:5 가로되 유대 베들레헴이오니 이는 선지자로 이렇게 기록된 바
2:5 And they said to him, In Beth-lehem of Judaea; for so it is said in the writings
of the prophet,
2:5 And they said unto him, In Bethlehem of Judaea: for thus it is written
by the prophet,
2:6 또 유대 땅 베들레헴아 너는 유대 고을 중에 가장 작지 아니하도다
네게서 한 다스리는 자가 나와서 내 백성 이스라엘의 목자가 되리라 하였음이니이다
2:6 You Beth-lehem, in the land of Judah, are not the least among the chiefs of Judah:
out of you will come a ruler, who will be the keeper of my people Israel.
2:6 And you Bethlehem, in the land of Juda, are not the least among the princes
of Juda: for out of you shall come a Governor, that shall rule my people Israel.
2:7 이에 헤롯이 가만히 박사들을 불러 별이 나타난 때를 자세히 묻고
2:7 Then Herod sent for the wise men privately, and put questions to them about what
time the star had been seen.
2:7 Then Herod, when he had privately called the wise men, enquired of them
diligently what time the star appeared.
2:8 베들레헴으로 보내며 이르되 가서 아기에 대하여 자세히 알아보고 찾거든
내게 고하여 나도 가서 그에게 경배하게 하라
2:8 And he sent them to Beth-lehem and said, Go and make certain where the young child
is; and when you have seen him, let me have news of it, so that I may come and give
him worship.
2:8 And he sent them to Bethlehem, and said, Go and search diligently for
the young child; and when all of you have found him, bring me word again, that
I may come and worship him also.
2:9 박사들이 왕의 말을 듣고 갈새 동방에서 보던 그 별이 문득 앞서 인도하여
가다가 아기 있는 곳 위에 머물러 섰는지라
2:9 And after hearing the king, they went on their way; and the star which they saw
in the east went before them, till it came to rest over the place where the young
child was.
2:9 When they had heard the king, they departed; and, lo, the star, which
they saw in the east, went before them, till it came and stood over where the
young child was.
2:10 저희가 별을 보고 가장 크게 기뻐하고 기뻐하더라
2:10 And when they saw the star they were full of joy.
2:10 When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceeding great joy.
2:11 집에 들어가 아기와 그 모친 마리아의 함께 있는 것을 보고 엎드려 아기께
경배하고 보배합을 열어 황금과 유향과 몰약을 예물로 드리니라
2:11 And they came into the house, and saw the young child with Mary, his mother; and
falling down on their faces they gave him worship; and from their store they gave
him offerings of gold, perfume, and spices.
2:11 And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with
Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when they had opened
their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense and myrrh.
2:12 꿈에 헤롯에게로 돌아가지 말라 지시하심을 받아 다른 길로 고국에 돌아가니라
2:12 And it was made clear to them by God in a dream that they were not to go back to
Herod; so they went into their country by another way.
2:12 And being warned of God in a dream that they should not return to Herod,
they departed into their own country another way.
2:13 ○ 저희가 떠난 후에 주의 사자가 요셉에게 현몽하여 가로되 헤롯이 아기를
찾아 죽이려 하니 일어나 아기와 그의 모친을 데리고 애굽으로 피하여 내가 네게 이르기까지
거기 있으라 하시니
2:13 And when they had gone, an angel of the Lord came to Joseph in a dream, saying,
Get up and take the young child and his mother, and go into Egypt, and do not go
from there till I give you word; for Herod will be searching for the young child
to put him to death.
2:13 And when they were departed, behold, the angel of the Lord appears to
Joseph in a dream, saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and
flee into Egypt, and be you there until I bring you word: for Herod will seek
the young child to destroy him.
2:14 요셉이 일어나서 밤에 아기와 그의 모친을 데리고 애굽으로 떠나가
2:14 So he took the young child and his mother by night, and went into Egypt;
2:14 When he arose, he took the young child and his mother by night, and
departed into Egypt:
2:15 헤롯이 죽기까지 거기 있었으니 이는 주께서 선지자로 말씀하신 바 애굽에서
내 아들을 불렀다 함을 이루려 하심이니라
2:15 And was there till the death of Herod; so that the word of the Lord through the
prophet might come true, Out of Egypt have I sent for my son.
2:15 And was there until the death of Herod: that it might be fulfilled which
was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Out of Egypt have I called my
son.
2:16 이에 헤롯이 박사들에게 속은 줄을 알고 심히 노하여 사람을 보내어 베들레헴과
그 모든 지경 안에 있는 사내아이를 박사들에게 자세히 알아본 그때를 표준하여
두 살부터 그 아래로 다 죽이니
2:16 Then Herod, when he saw that he had been tricked by the wise men, was very angry;
and he sent out, and put to death all the male children in Beth-lehem and in all
the parts round about it, from two years old and under, acting on the knowledge
which he had got with care from the wise men.
2:16 Then Herod, when he saw that he was mocked of the wise men, was exceeding
angry, and sent forth, and slew all the children that were in Bethlehem, and
in all the coasts thereof, from two years old and under, according to the time
which he had diligently enquired of the wise men.
2:17 이에 선지자 예레미야로 말씀하신 바
2:17 Then the word of Jeremiah the prophet came true,
2:17 Then was fulfilled that which was spoken by Jeremy the prophet, saying,
2:18 라마에서 슬퍼하며 크게 통곡하는 소리가 들리니 라헬이 그 자식을
위하여 애곡하는 것이라 그가 자식이 없으므로 위로 받기를 거절하였도다 함이 이루어졌느니라
2:18 In Ramah there was a sound of weeping and great sorrow, Rachel weeping for her children,
and she would not be comforted for their loss.
2:18 In Rama was there a voice heard, lamentation, and weeping, and great
mourning, Rachel weeping for her children, and would not be comforted, because
they are not.
2:19 ○ 헤롯이 죽은 후에 주의 사자가 애굽에서 요셉에게 현몽하여 가로되
2:19 But when Herod was dead, an angel of the Lord came in a dream to Joseph in Egypt,
2:19 But when Herod was dead, behold, an angel of the Lord appears in a dream
to Joseph in Egypt,
2:20 일어나 아기와 그 모친을 데리고 이스라엘 땅으로 가라 아기의 목숨을 찾던
자들이 죽었느니라 하시니
2:20 Saying, Get up and take the young child and his mother, and go into the land of
Israel: because they who were attempting to take the young child's life are dead.
2:20 Saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and go into
the land of Israel: for they are dead which sought the young child's life.
2:21 요셉이 일어나 아기와 그 모친을 데리고 이스라엘 땅으로 들어오니라
2:21 And he got up, and took the young child and his mother, and came into the land of
Israel.
2:21 And he arose, and took the young child and his mother, and came into
the land of Israel.
2:22 그러나 아켈라오가 그 부친 헤롯을 이어 유대의 임금 됨을 듣고 거기로 가기를
무서워하더니 꿈에 지시하심을 받아 갈릴리 지방으로 떠나가
2:22 But when it came to his ears that Archelaus was ruling over Judaea in the place
of his father Herod, he was in fear of going there; and God having given him news
of the danger in a dream, he went out of the way into the country parts of Galilee.
2:22 But when he heard that Archelaus did reign in Judaea in the room of
his father Herod, he was afraid to go thither: notwithstanding, being warned
of God in a dream, he turned aside into the parts of Galilee:
2:23 나사렛이란 동네에 와서 사니 이는 선지자로 하신 말씀에 나사렛 사람이라
칭하리라 하심을 이루려 함이러라
2:23 And he came and was living in a town named Nazareth: so that the word of the prophets
might come true, He will be named a Nazarene.
2:23 And he came and dwelt in a city called Nazareth: that it might be fulfilled
which was spoken by the prophets, He shall be called a Nazarene.
3:1 그때에 세례 요한이 이르러 유대 광야에서 전파하여 가로되
3:1 And in those days John the Baptist came preaching in the waste land of Judaea,
3:1 In those days came John the Baptist, preaching in the wilderness of Judaea,
3:2 회개하라 천국이 가까왔느니라 하였으니
3:2 Saying, Let your hearts be turned from sin; for the kingdom of heaven is near.
3:2 And saying, Repent all of you: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
3:3 저는 선지자 이사야로 말씀하신 자라 일렀으되 광야에 외치는 자의 소리가
있어 가로되 너희는 주의 길을 예비하라 그의 첩경을 평탄케 하라 하였느니라
3:3 For this is he of whom Isaiah the prophet said, The voice of one crying in the waste
land, Make ready the way of the Lord, make his roads straight.
3:3 For this is he that was spoken of by the prophet Isaiah, saying, The
voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare all of you the way of the Lord,
make his paths straight.
3:4 이 요한은 약대털 옷을 입고 허리에 가죽 띠를 띠고 음식은 메뚜기와 석청이었더라
3:4 Now John was clothed in camel's hair, with a leather band about him; and his food
was locusts and honey.
3:4 And the same John had his raiment of camel's hair, and a leathern girdle
about his loins; and his food was locusts and wild honey.
3:5 이때에 예루살렘과 온 유대와 요단 강 사방에서 다 그에게 나아와
3:5 Then Jerusalem and all Judaea went out to him, and all the people from near Jordan;
3:5 Then went out to him Jerusalem, and all Judaea, and all the region round
about Jordan,
3:6 자기들의 죄를 자복하고 요단 강에서 그에게 세례를 받더니
3:6 And they were given baptism by him in the river Jordan, saying openly that they
had done wrong.
3:6 And were baptized of him in Jordan, confessing their sins.
3:7 요한이 많은 바리새인과 사두개인이 세례 베푸는 데 오는 것을 보고 이르되
독사의 자식들아 누가 너희를 가르쳐 임박한 진노를 피하라 하더냐
3:7 But when he saw a number of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming to his baptism, he
said to them, Offspring of snakes, at whose word are you going in flight from the
wrath to come?
3:7 But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come to his baptism,
he said unto them, O generation of vipers, who has warned you to flee from the
wrath to come?
3:8 그러므로 회개에 합당한 열매를 맺고
3:8 Let your change of heart be seen in your works:
3:8 Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance:
3:9 속으로 아브라함이 우리 조상이라고 생각지 말라 내가 너희에게 이르노니
하나님이 능히 이 돌들로도 아브라함의 자손이 되게 하시리라
3:9 And say not to yourselves, We have Abraham for our father; because I say to you
that God is able from these stones to make children for Abraham.
3:9 And think not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father:
for I say unto you, that God is able of these stones to raise up children unto
Abraham.
3:10 이미 도끼가 나무 뿌리에 놓였으니 좋은 열매 맺지 아니하는 나무마다 찍어
불에 던지우리라
3:10 And even now the axe is put to the root of the trees; every tree then which does
not give good fruit is cut down, and put into the fire.
3:10 And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: therefore every
tree which brings not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
3:11 나는 너희로 회개케 하기 위하여 물로 세례를 주거니와 내 뒤에 오시는 이는
나보다 능력이 많으시니 나는 그의 신을 들기도 감당치 못하겠노라 그는 성령과 불로
너희에게 세례를 주실 것이요
3:11 Truly, I give baptism with water to those of you whose hearts are changed; but he
who comes after me is greater than I, whose shoes I am not good enough to take up:
he will give you baptism with the Holy Spirit and with fire:
3:11 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance. but he that comes after
me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize
you with the Holy Spirit, (o. pneuma) and with fire:
3:12 손에 키를 들고 자기의 타작 마당을 정하게 하사 알곡은 모아 곡간에 들이고
쭉정이는 꺼지지 않는 불에 태우시리라
3:12 In whose hand is the instrument with which he will make clean his grain; he will
put the good grain in his store, but the waste will be burned up in the fire which
will never be put out.
3:12 Whose fan is in his hand, and he will thoroughly purge his floor, and
gather his wheat into the garner; but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable
fire.
3:13 이때에 예수께서 갈릴리로서 요단 강에 이르러 요한에게 세례를 받으려 하신대
3:13 Then Jesus came from Galilee to John at the Jordan, to be given baptism by him.
3:13 Then comes Jesus from Galilee to Jordan unto John, to be baptized of
him.
3:14 요한이 말려 가로되 내가 당신에게 세례를 받아야 할 터인데 당신이 내게로
오시나이까
3:14 But John would have kept him back, saying, It is I who have need of baptism from
you, and do you come to me?
3:14 But John forbad him, saying, I have need to be baptized of you, and
come you to me?
3:15 예수께서 대답하여 가라사대 이제 허락하라 우리가 이와 같이 하여 모든
의를 이루는 것이 합당하니라 하신대 이에 요한이 허락하는지라
3:15 But Jesus made answer, saying to him, Let it be so now: because so it is right for
us to make righteousness complete. Then he gave him baptism.
3:15 And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now: for thus
it becomes us to fulfill all righteousness. Then he suffered him.
3:16 예수께서 세례를 받으시고 곧 물에서 올라오실새 하늘이 열리고 하나님의
성령이 비둘기 같이 내려 자기 위에 임하심을 보시더니
3:16 And Jesus, having been given baptism, straight away went up from the water; and,
the heavens opening, he saw the Spirit of God coming down on him as a dove;
3:16 And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up immediately out of the water:
and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit (o. pneuma)
of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him:
3:17 하늘로서 소리가 있어 말씀하시되 이는 내 사랑하는 아들이요 내 기뻐하는
자라 하시니라
3:17 And a voice came out of heaven, saying, This is my dearly loved Son, with whom I
am well pleased.
3:17 And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom
I am well pleased.
4:1 그때에 예수께서 성령에게 이끌리어 마귀에게 시험을 받으러 광야로 가사
4:1 Then Jesus was sent by the Spirit into the waste land to be tested by the Evil One.
4:1 Then was Jesus led up of the spirit (o. pneuma) into the wilderness to
be tempted of the devil.
4:2 사십 일을 밤낮으로 금식하신 후에 주리신지라
4:2 And after going without food for forty days and forty nights, he was in need of
it.
4:2 And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward
an hungered.
4:3 시험하는 자가 예수께 나아와서 가로되 네가 만일 하나님의 아들이어든 명하여
이 돌들이 떡덩이가 되게 하라
4:3 And the Evil One came and said to him, If you are the Son of God, give the word
for these stones to become bread.
4:3 And when the tempter came to him, he said, If you be the Son of God,
command that these stones be made bread.
4:4 예수께서 대답하여 가라사대 기록되었으되 사람이 떡으로만 살 것이
아니요 하나님의 입으로 나오는 모든 말씀으로 살 것이라 하였느니라 하시니
4:4 But he made answer and said, It is in the Writings, Bread is not man's only need,
but every word which comes out of the mouth of God.
4:4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread
alone, but by every word (o. rhema) that proceeds out of the mouth of God.
4:5 이에 마귀가 예수를 거룩한 성으로 데려다가 성전 꼭대기에 세우고
4:5 Then the Evil One took him to the holy town; and he put him on the highest point
of the Temple and said to him,
4:5 Then the devil takes him up into the holy city, and sets him on a pinnacle
of the temple,
4:6 가로되 네가 만일 하나님의 아들이어든 뛰어내리라 기록하였으되 저가 너를
위하여 그 사자들을 명하시리니 저희가 손으로 너를 받들어 발이 돌에 부딪히지 않게
하리로다 하였느니라
4:6 If you are the Son of God, let yourself go down; for it is in the Writings, He will
give his angels care over you; and, In their hands they will keep you up, so that
your foot may not be crushed against a stone.
4:6 And says unto him, If you be the Son of God, cast yourself down: for
it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning you: and in their
hands they shall bear you up, lest at any time you dash your foot against a
stone.
4:7 예수께서 이르시되 또 기록되었으되 주 너의 하나님을 시험치 말라 하였느니라
하신대
4:7 Jesus said to him, Again it is in the Writings, You may not put the Lord your God
to the test.
4:7 Jesus said unto him, It is written again, You shall not tempt the Lord
your God.
4:8 마귀가 또 그를 데리고 지극히 높은 산으로 가서 천하 만국과 그 영광을 보여
4:8 Again, the Evil One took him up to a very high mountain, and let him see all the
kingdoms of the world and the glory of them;
4:8 Again, the devil takes him up into an exceeding high mountain, and shows
him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them;
4:9 가로되 만일 내게 엎드려 경배하면 이 모든 것을 네게 주리라
4:9 And he said to him, All these things will I give you, if you will go down on your
face and give me worship.
4:9 And says unto him, All these things will I give you, if you will fall
down and worship me.
4:10 이에 예수께서 말씀하시되 사단아 물러가라 기록되었으되 주 너의 하나님께
경배하고 다만 그를 섬기라 하였느니라
4:10 Then said Jesus to him, Away, Satan: for it is in the Writings, Give worship to
the Lord your God and be his servant only.
4:10 Then says Jesus unto him, Get you behind, Satan: for it is written,
You shall worship the Lord your God, and him only shall you serve.
4:11 이에 마귀는 예수를 떠나고 천사들이 나아와서 수종드니라
4:11 Then the Evil One went away from him, and angels came and took care of him.
4:11 Then the devil left him, and, behold, angels came and ministered unto
him.
4:12 ○ 예수께서 요한의 잡힘을 들으시고 갈릴리로 물러가셨다가
4:12 Now when it came to his ears that John had been put in prison, he went away to Galilee;
4:12 Now when Jesus had heard that John was cast into prison, he departed
into Galilee;
4:13 나사렛을 떠나 스불론과 납달리 지경 해변에 있는 가버나움에 가서 사시니
4:13 And going away from Nazareth, he came and made his living-place in Capernaum, which
is by the sea, in the country of Zebulun and Naphtali:
4:13 And leaving Nazareth, he came and dwelt in Capernaum, which is upon
the sea coast, in the borders of Zabulon and Nephthalim:
4:14 이는 선지자 이사야로 하신 말씀을 이루려 하심이라 일렀으되
4:14 So that the word of the prophet Isaiah might come true,
4:14 That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying,
4:15 스불론 땅과 납달리 땅과 요단 강 저편 해변 길과 이방의 갈릴리여
4:15 The land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, by the way of the sea, the other side
of Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles,
4:15 The land of Zabulon, and the land of Nephthalim, by the way of the sea,
beyond Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles;
4:16 흑암에 앉은 백성이 큰 빛을 보았고 사망의 땅과 그늘에 앉은 자들에게
빛이 비취었도다 하였느니라
4:16 The people who were in the dark saw a great light, and to those in the land of the
shade of death did the dawn come up.
4:16 The people which sat in darkness saw great light; and to them which
sat in the region and shadow of death light is sprung up.
4:17 ○ 이때부터 예수께서 비로소 전파하여 가라사대 회개하라 천국이 가까왔느니라
하시더라
4:17 From that time Jesus went about preaching and saying, Let your hearts be turned
from sin, for the kingdom of heaven is near.
4:17 From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom
of heaven is at hand.
4:18 ○ 갈릴리 해변에 다니시다가 두 형제 곧 베드로라 하는 시몬과 그 형제
안드레가 바다에 그물 던지는 것을 보시니 저희는 어부라
4:18 And when he was walking by the sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon, whose
other name was Peter, and Andrew, his brother, who were putting a net into the sea;
for they were fishermen.
4:18 And Jesus, walking by the sea of Galilee, saw two brethren, Simon called
Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea: for they were fishers.
4:19 말씀하시되 나를 따라 오너라 내가 너희로 사람을 낚는 어부가 되게 하리라
하시니
4:19 And he said to them, Come after me, and I will make you fishers of men.
4:19 And he says unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.
4:20 저희가 곧 그물을 버려 두고 예수를 좇으니라
4:20 And straight away they let go the nets and went after him.
4:20 And they immediately left their nets, and followed him.
4:21 거기서 더 가시다가 다른 두 형제 곧 세베대의 아들 야고보와 그 형제 요한이
그 부친 세베대와 한가지로 배에서 그물 깁는 것을 보시고 부르시니
4:21 And going on from there he saw two other brothers, James, the son of Zebedee, and
John, his brother, in the boat with their father, stitching up their nets; and he
said, Come.
4:21 And going on from thence, he saw other two brethren, James the son of
Zebedee, and John his brother, in a ship with Zebedee their father, mending
their nets; and he called them.
4:22 저희가 곧 배와 부친을 버려 두고 예수를 좇으니라
4:22 And they went straight from the boat and their father and came after him.
4:22 And they immediately left the ship and their father, and followed him.
4:23 ○ 예수께서 온 갈릴리에 두루 다니사 저희 회당에서 가르치시며 천국 복음을
전파하시며 백성 중에 모든 병과 모든 약한 것을 고치시니
4:23 And Jesus went about in all Galilee, teaching in their Synagogues and preaching
the good news of the kingdom, and making well those who were ill with any disease
among the people.
4:23 And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and
preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and
all manner of disease among the people.
4:24 그의 소문이 온 수리아에 퍼진지라 사람들이 모든 앓는 자 곧 각색 병과
고통에 걸린 자 귀신 들린 자 간질하는 자 중풍병자들을 데려오니 저희를 고치시더라
4:24 And news of him went out through all Syria; and they took to him all who were ill
with different diseases and pains, those having evil spirits and those who were
off their heads, and those who had no power of moving. And he made them well.
4:24 And his fame went throughout all Syria: and they brought unto him all
sick people that were taken with divers diseases and torments, and those which
were possessed with devils, and those which were lunatic, and those that had
the palsy; and he healed them.
4:25 갈릴리와 데가볼리와 예루살렘과 유대와 요단 강 건너편에서 허다한 무리가
좇으니라
4:25 And there went after him great numbers from Galilee and Decapolis and Jerusalem
and Judaea and from the other side of Jordan.
4:25 And there followed him great multitudes of people from Galilee, and
from Decapolis, and from Jerusalem, and from Judaea, and from beyond Jordan.
5:1 예수께서 무리를 보시고 산에 올라가 앉으시니 제자들이 나아온지라
5:1 And seeing great masses of people he went up into the mountain; and when he was
seated his disciples came to him.
5:1 And seeing the multitudes, he went up into a mountain: and when he was
set, his disciples came unto him:
5:2 입을 열어 가르쳐 가라사대
5:2 And with these words he gave them teaching, saying,
5:2 And he opened his mouth, and taught them, saying,
5:3 심령이 가난한 자는 복이 있나니 천국이 저희 것임이요
5:3 Happy are the poor in spirit: for the kingdom of heaven is theirs.
5:3 Blessed are the poor in spirit: (o. pneuma) for theirs is the kingdom
of heaven.
5:4 애통하는 자는 복이 있나니 저희가 위로를 받을 것임이요
5:4 Happy are those who are sad: for they will be comforted.
5:4 Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.
5:5 온유한 자는 복이 있나니 저희가 땅을 기업으로 받을 것임이요
5:5 Happy are the gentle: for the earth will be their heritage.
5:5 Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.
5:6 의에 주리고 목마른 자는 복이 있나니 저희가 배부를 것임이요
5:6 Happy are those whose heart's desire is for righteousness: for they will have their
desire.
5:6 Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for
they shall be filled.
5:7 긍휼히 여기는 자는 복이 있나니 저희가 긍휼히 여김을 받을 것임이요
5:7 Happy are those who have mercy: for they will be given mercy.
5:7 Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.
5:8 마음이 청결한 자는 복이 있나니 저희가 하나님을 볼 것임이요
5:8 Happy are the clean in heart: for they will see God.
5:8 Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.
5:9 화평케 하는 자는 복이 있나니 저희가 하나님의 아들이라 일컬음을 받을 것임이요
5:9 Happy are the peacemakers: for they will be named sons of God.
5:9 Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of
God.
5:10 의를 위하여 핍박을 받은 자는 복이 있나니 천국이 저희 것임이라
5:10 Happy are those who are attacked on account of righteousness: for the kingdom of
heaven will be theirs.
5:10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs
is the kingdom of heaven.
5:11 나를 인하여 너희를 욕하고 핍박하고 거짓으로 너희를 거스려 모든 악한
말을 할 때에는 너희에게 복이 있나니
5:11 Happy are you when men give you a bad name, and are cruel to you, and say all evil
things against you falsely, because of me.
5:11 Blessed are all of you, when men shall revile you, and persecute you,
and shall say all manner of evil (o. rhema) against you falsely, for my sake.
5:12 기뻐하고 즐거워하라 하늘에서 너희의 상이 큼이라 너희 전에 있던 선지자들을
이같이 핍박하였느니라
5:12 Be glad and full of joy; for great is your reward in heaven: for so were the prophets
attacked who were before you.
5:12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven:
for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.
5:13 ○ 너희는 세상의 소금이니 소금이 만일 그 맛을 잃으면 무엇으로 짜게 하리요
후에는 아무 쓸 데 없어 다만 밖에 버리워 사람에게 밟힐 뿐이니라
5:13 You are the salt of the earth; but if its taste goes from the salt, how will you
make it salt again? it is then good for nothing but to be put out and crushed under
foot by men.
5:13 All of you are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his
savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but
to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.
5:14 너희는 세상의 빛이라 산 위에 있는 동네가 숨기우지 못할 것이요
5:14 You are the light of the world. A town put on a hill may be seen by all.
5:14 All of you are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill
cannot be hid.
5:15 사람이 등불을 켜서 말 아래 두지 아니하고 등경 위에 두나니 이러므로 집안
모든 사람에게 비취느니라
5:15 And a burning light is not put under a vessel, but on its table; so that its rays
may be shining on all who are in the house.
5:15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick;
and it gives light unto all that are in the house.
5:16 이같이 너희 빛을 사람 앞에 비취게 하여 저희로 너희 착한 행실을 보고
하늘에 계신 너희 아버지께 영광을 돌리게 하라
5:16 Even so let your light be shining before men, so that they may see your good works
and give glory to your Father in heaven.
5:16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works,
and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
5:17 ○ 내가 율법이나 선지자나 폐하러 온 줄로 생각지 말라 폐하러 온 것이
아니요 완전케 하려 함이로다
5:17 Let there be no thought that I have come to put an end to the law or the prophets.
I have not come for destruction, but to make complete.
5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not
come to destroy, but to fulfill.
5:18 진실로 너희에게 이르노니 천지가 없어지기 전에는 율법의 일점 일획이라도
반드시 없어지지 아니하고 다 이루리라
5:18 Truly I say to you, Till heaven and earth come to an end, not the smallest letter
or part of a letter will in any way be taken from the law, till all things are done.
5:18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one
tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
5:19 그러므로 누구든지 이 계명 중에 지극히 작은 것 하나라도 버리고 또 그같이
사람을 가르치는 자는 천국에서 지극히 작다 일컬음을 받을 것이요 누구든지 이를
행하며 가르치는 자는 천국에서 크다 일컬음을 받으리라
5:19 Whoever then goes against the smallest of these laws, teaching men to do the same,
will be named least in the kingdom of heaven; but he who keeps the laws, teaching
others to keep them, will be named great in the kingdom of heaven.
5:19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and
shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but
whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom
of heaven.
5:20 내가 너희에게 이르노니 너희 의가 서기관과 바리새인보다 더 낫지 못하면
결단코 천국에 들어가지 못하리라
5:20 For I say to you, If your righteousness is not greater than the righteousness of
the scribes and Pharisees, you will never go into the kingdom of heaven.
5:20 For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the
righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, all of you shall in no case enter
into the kingdom of heaven.
5:21 ○ 옛 사람에게 말한 바 살인치 말라 누구든지 살인하면 심판을 받게 되리라
하였다는 것을 너희가 들었으나
5:21 You have knowledge that it was said in old times, You may not put to death; and,
Whoever puts to death will be in danger of being judged:
5:21 All of you have heard that it was said of them of old time, You shall
not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment:
5:22 나는 너희에게 이르노니 형제에게 노하는 자마다 심판을 받게 되고 형제를
대하여 라가라 하는 자는 공회에 잡히게 되고 미련한 놈이라 하는 자는 지옥 불에
들어가게 되리라
5:22 But I say to you that everyone who is angry with his brother will be in danger of
being judged; and he who says to his brother, Raca, will be in danger from the Sanhedrin;
and whoever says, You foolish one, will be in danger of the hell of fire.
5:22 But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without
a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother,
Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, You fool,
shall be in danger of hell fire.
5:23 그러므로 예물을 제단에 드리다가 거기서 네 형제에게 원망들을 만한 일이
있는 줄 생각나거든
5:23 If then you are making an offering at the altar and there it comes to your mind
that your brother has something against you,
5:23 Therefore if you bring your gift to the altar, and there remember that
your brother has ought against you;
5:24 예물을 제단 앞에 두고 먼저 가서 형제와 화목하고 그 후에 와서 예물을
드리라
5:24 While your offering is still before the altar, first go and make peace with your
brother, then come and make your offering.
5:24 Leave there your gift before the altar, and go your way; first be reconciled
to your brother, and then come and offer your gift.
5:25 너를 송사하는 자와 함께 길에 있을 때에 급히 사화하라 그 송사하는 자가
너를 재판관에게 내어 주고 재판관이 관예에게 내어 주어 옥에 가둘까 염려하라
5:25 Come to an agreement quickly with him who has a cause against you at law, while
you are with him on the way, for fear that he may give you up to the judge and the
judge may give you to the police and you may be put into prison.
5:25 Agree with yours adversary quickly, while you are in the way with him;
lest at any time the adversary deliver you to the judge, and the judge deliver
you to the officer, and you be cast into prison.
5:26 진실로 네게 이르노니 네가 호리라도 남김이 없이 다 갚기 전에는 결단코
거기서 나오지 못하리라
5:26 Truly I say to you, You will not come out from there till you have made payment
of the very last farthing.
5:26 Verily I say unto you, You shall by no means come out thence, till you
have paid the uttermost farthing.
5:27 ○ 또 간음치 말라 하였다는 것을 너희가 들었으나
5:27 You have knowledge that it was said, You may not have connection with another man's
wife:
5:27 All of you have heard that it was said by them of old time, You shall
not commit adultery:
5:28 나는 너희에게 이르노니 여자를 보고 음욕을 품는 자마다 마음에 이미 간음하였느니라
5:28 But I say to you that everyone whose eyes are turned on a woman with desire has
had connection with her in his heart.
5:28 But I say unto you, That whosoever looks on a woman to lust after her
has committed adultery with her already in his heart.
5:29 만일 네 오른눈이 너로 실족케 하거든 빼어 내버리라 네 백체 중 하나가
없어지고 온 몸이 지옥에 던지우지 않는 것이 유익하며
5:29 And if your right eye is a cause of trouble to you, take it out and put it away
from you; because it is better to undergo the loss of one part, than for all your
body to go into hell.
5:29 And if your right eye offend you, pluck it out, and cast it from you:
for it is profitable for you that one of your members should perish, and not
that your whole body should be cast into hell.
5:30 또한 만일 네 오른손이 너로 실족케 하거든 찍어 내버리라 네 백체 중 하나가
없어지고 온 몸이 지옥에 던지우지 않는 것이 유익하니라
5:30 And if your right hand is a cause of trouble to you, let it be cut off and put it
away from you; because it is better to undergo the loss of one part, than for all
your body to go into hell.
5:30 And if your right hand offend you, cut it off, and cast it from you:
for it is profitable for you that one of your members should perish, and not
that your whole body should be cast into hell.
5:31 또 일렀으되 누구든지 아내를 버리거든 이혼 증서를 줄 것이라 하였으나
5:31 Again, it was said, Whoever puts away his wife has to give her a statement in writing
for this purpose:
5:31 It has been said, Whosoever shall put away his wife, let him give her
a writing of divorcement:
5:32 나는 너희에게 이르노니 누구든지 음행한 연고 없이 아내를 버리면 이는
저로 간음하게 함이요 또 누구든지 버린 여자에게 장가드는 자도 간음함이니라
5:32 But I say to you that everyone who puts away his wife for any other cause but the
loss of her virtue, makes her false to her husband; and whoever takes her as his
wife after she is put away, is no true husband to her.
5:32 But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for
the cause (o. logos) of fornication, causes her to commit adultery: and whosoever
shall marry her that is divorced commits adultery.
5:33 ○ 또 옛 사람에게 말한 바 헛 맹세를 하지 말고 네 맹세한 것을 주께 지키라
하였다는 것을 너희가 들었으나
5:33 Again, you have knowledge that it was said in old times, Do not take false oaths,
but give effect to your oaths to the Lord:
5:33 Again, all of you have heard that it has been said by them of old time,
You shall not renounce swearing yourself, but shall perform unto the Lord yours
oaths:
5:34 나는 너희에게 이르노니 도무지 맹세하지 말지니 하늘로도 말라 이는 하나님의
보좌임이요
5:34 But I say to you, Take no oaths at all: not by the heaven, because it is the seat
of God;
5:34 But I say unto you, Swear not at all; neither by heaven; for it is God's
throne:
5:35 땅으로도 말라 이는 하나님의 발등상임이요 예루살렘으로도 말라 이는 큰
임금의 성임이요
5:35 Or by the earth, because it is the resting-place for his foot; or by Jerusalem,
because it is the town of the great King.
5:35 Nor by the earth; for it is his footstool: neither by Jerusalem; for
it is the city of the great King.
5:36 네 머리로도 말라 이는 네가 한 터럭도 희고 검게 할 수 없음이라
5:36 You may not take an oath by your head, because you are not able to make one hair
white or black.
5:36 Neither shall you swear by your head, because you can not make one hair
white or black.
5:37 오직 너희 말은 옳다 옳다, 아니라 아니라 하라 이에서 지나는 것은 악으로
좇아 나느니라
5:37 But let your words be simply, Yes or No: and whatever is more than these is of the
Evil One.
5:37 But let your communication (o. logos) be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: for whatsoever
is more than these comes of evil.
5:38 또 눈은 눈으로, 이는 이로 갚으라 하였다는 것을 너희가 들었으나
5:38 You have knowledge that it was said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth:
5:38 All of you have heard that it has been said, An eye for an eye, and
a tooth for a tooth:
5:39 나는 너희에게 이르노니 악한 자를 대적지 말라 누구든지 네 오른편 뺨을
치거든 왼편도 돌려 대며
5:39 But I say to you, Do not make use of force against an evil man; but to him who gives
you a blow on the right side of your face let the left be turned.
5:39 But I say unto you, That all of you resist not evil: but whosoever shall
strike you on your right cheek, turn to him the other also.
5:40 또 너를 송사하여 속옷을 가지고자 하는 자에게 겉옷까지도 가지게 하며
5:40 And if any man goes to law with you and takes away your coat, do not keep back your
robe from him.
5:40 And if any man will sue you at the law, and take away your coat, let
him have your cloak also.
5:41 또 누구든지 너로 억지로 오리를 가게 하거든 그 사람과 십리를 동행하고
5:41 And whoever makes you go one mile, go with him two.
5:41 And whosoever shall compel you to go a mile, go with him two.
5:42 네게 구하는 자에게 주며 네게 꾸고자 하는 자에게 거절하지 말라
5:42 Give to him who comes with a request, and keep not your property from him who would
for a time make use of it.
5:42 Give to him that asks you, and from him that would borrow of you turn
not you away.
5:43 ○ 또 네 이웃을 사랑하고 네 원수를 미워하라 하였다는 것을 너희가 들었으나
5:43 You have knowledge that it was said, Have love for your neighbour, and hate for
him who is against you:
5:43 All of you have heard that it has been said, You shall love your neighbour,
and hate yours enemy.
5:44 나는 너희에게 이르노니 너희 원수를 사랑하며 너희를 핍박하는 자를 위하여
기도하라
5:44 But I say to you, Have love for those who are against you, and make prayer for those
who are cruel to you;
5:44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do
good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and
persecute you;
5:45 이같이 한즉 하늘에 계신 너희 아버지의 아들이 되리니 이는 하나님이 그
해를 악인과 선인에게 비취게 하시며 비를 의로운 자와 불의한 자에게 내리우심이니라
5:45 So that you may be the sons of your Father in heaven; for his sun gives light to
the evil and to the good, and he sends rain on the upright man and on the sinner.
5:45 That all of you may be the children of your Father which is in heaven:
for he makes his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on
the just and on the unjust.
5:46 너희가 너희를 사랑하는 자를 사랑하면 무슨 상이 있으리요 세리도 이같이
아니하느냐
5:46 For if you have love for those who have love for you, what credit is it to you?
do not the tax-farmers the same?
5:46 For if all of you love them which love you, what reward have all of
you? do not even the publicans the same?
5:47 또 너희가 너희 형제에게만 문안하면 남보다 더 하는 것이 무엇이냐 이방인들도
이같이 아니하느냐
5:47 And if you say, Good day, to your brothers only, what do you do more than others?
do not even the Gentiles the same?
5:47 And if all of you salute your brethren only, what do all of you more
than others? do not even the publicans so?
5:48 그러므로 하늘에 계신 너희 아버지의 온전하심과 같이 너희도 온전하라
5:48 Be then complete in righteousness, even as your Father in heaven is complete.
5:48 Be all of you therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven
is perfect.
6:1 사람에게 보이려고 그들 앞에서 너희 의를 행치 않도록 주의하라 그렇지 아니하면
하늘에 계신 너희 아버지께 상을 얻지 못하느니라
6:1 Take care not to do your good works before men, to be seen by them; or you will
have no reward from your Father in heaven.
6:1 Take heed that all of you do not your alms before men, to be seen of
them: otherwise all of you have no reward of your Father which is in heaven.
6:2 ○ 그러므로 구제할 때에 외식하는 자가 사람에게 영광을 얻으려고 회당과
거리에서 하는 것 같이 너희 앞에 나팔을 불지 말라 진실로 너희에게 이르노니 저희는
자기 상을 이미 받았느니라
6:2 When then you give money to the poor, do not make a noise about it, as the false-hearted
men do in the Synagogues and in the streets, so that they may have glory from men.
Truly, I say to you, They have their reward.
6:2 Therefore when you do yours alms, do not sound a trumpet before you,
as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have
glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
6:3 너는 구제할 때에 오른손의 하는 것을 왼손이 모르게 하여
6:3 But when you give money, let not your left hand see what your right hand does:
6:3 But when you do alms, let not your left hand know what your right hand
does:
6:4 네 구제함이 은밀하게 하라 은밀한 중에 보시는 너의 아버지가 갚으시리라
6:4 So that your giving may be in secret; and your Father, who sees in secret, will
give you your reward.
6:4 That yours alms may be in secret: and your Father which sees in secret
himself shall reward you openly.
6:5 ○ 또 너희가 기도할 때에 외식하는 자와 같이 되지 말라 저희는 사람에게
보이려고 회당과 큰 거리 어귀에 서서 기도하기를 좋아하느니라 내가 진실로 너희에게
이르노니 저희는 자기 상을 이미 받았느니라
6:5 And when you make your prayers, be not like the false-hearted men, who take pleasure
in getting up and saying their prayers in the Synagogues and at the street turnings
so that they may be seen by men. Truly I say to you, They have their reward.
6:5 And when you pray, you shall not be as the hypocrites are: for they love
to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they
may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
6:6 너는 기도할 때에 네 골방에 들어가 문을 닫고 은밀한 중에 계신 네 아버지께
기도하라 은밀한 중에 보시는 네 아버지께서 갚으시리라
6:6 But when you make your prayer, go into your private room, and, shutting the door,
say a prayer to your Father in secret, and your Father, who sees in secret, will
give you your reward.
6:6 But you, when you pray, enter into your closet, and when you have shut
your door, pray to your Father which is in secret; and your Father which sees
in secret shall reward you openly.
6:7 또 기도할 때에 이방인과 같이 중언부언하지 말라 저희는 말을 많이 하여야
들으실 줄 생각하느니라
6:7 And in your prayer do not make use of the same words again and again, as the Gentiles
do: for they have the idea that God will give attention to them because of the number
of their words.
6:7 But when all of you pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do:
for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.
6:8 그러므로 저희를 본받지 말라 구하기 전에 너희에게 있어야 할 것을 하나님
너희 아버지께서 아시느니라
6:8 So be not like them; because your Father has knowledge of your needs even before
you make your requests to him.
6:8 Be not all of you therefore like unto them: for your Father knows what
things all of you have need of, before all of you ask him.
6:9 그러므로 너희는 이렇게 기도하라 하늘에 계신 우리 아버지여 이름이 거룩히
여김을 받으시오며
6:9 Let this then be your prayer: Our Father in heaven, may your name be kept holy.
6:9 After this manner therefore pray all of you: Our Father which are in
heaven, Hallowed be your name.
6:10 나라이 임하옵시며 뜻이 하늘에서 이룬 것 같이 땅에서도 이루어지이다
6:10 Let your kingdom come. Let your pleasure be done, as in heaven, so on earth.
6:10 Your kingdom come, Your will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
6:11 오늘날 우리에게 일용할 양식을 주옵시고
6:11 Give us this day bread for our needs.
6:11 Give us this day our daily bread.
6:12 우리가 우리에게 죄 지은 자를 사하여 준 것 같이 우리 죄를 사하여 주옵시고
6:12 And make us free of our debts, as we have made those free who are in debt to us.
6:12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
6:13 우리를 시험에 들게 하지 마옵시고 다만 악에서 구하옵소서 {나라와 권세와
영광이 아버지께 영원히 있사옵나이다 아멘}
6:13 And let us not be put to the test, but keep us safe from the Evil One.
6:13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For yours
is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
6:14 너희가 사람의 과실을 용서하면 너희 천부께서도 너희 과실을 용서하시려니와
6:14 For if you let men have forgiveness for their sins, you will have forgiveness from
your Father in heaven.
6:14 For if all of you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father
will also forgive you:
6:15 너희가 사람의 과실을 용서하지 아니하면 너희 아버지께서도 너희 과실을
용서하지 아니하시리라
6:15 But if you do not let men have forgiveness for their sins, you will not have forgiveness
from your Father for your sins.
6:15 But if all of you forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your
Father forgive your trespasses.
6:16 ○ 금식할 때에 너희는 외식하는 자들과 같이 슬픈 기색을 내지 말라 저희는
금식하는 것을 사람에게 보이려고 얼굴을 흉하게 하느니라 내가 진실로 너희에게
이르노니 저희는 자기 상을 이미 받았느니라
6:16 And when you go without food, be not sad-faced as the false-hearted are. For they
go about with changed looks, so that men may see that they are going without food.
Truly I say to you, They have their reward.
6:16 Moreover when all of you fast, be not, as the hypocrites, of a sad countenance:
for they disfigure their faces, that they may appear unto men to fast. Verily
I say unto you, They have their reward.
6:17 너는 금식할 때에 머리에 기름을 바르고 얼굴을 씻으라
6:17 But when you go without food, put oil on your head and make your face clean;
6:17 But you, when you fast, anoint yours head, and wash your face;
6:18 이는 금식하는 자로 사람에게 보이지 않고 오직 은밀한 중에 계신 네 아버지께
보이게 하려 함이라 은밀한 중에 보시는 네 아버지께서 갚으시리라
6:18 So that no one may see that you are going without food, but your Father in secret;
and your Father, who sees in secret, will give you your reward.
6:18 That you appear not unto men to fast, but unto your Father which is
in secret: and your Father, which sees in secret, shall reward you openly.
6:19 ○ 너희를 위하여 보물을 땅에 쌓아 두지 말라 거기는 좀과 동록이 해하며
도적이 구멍을 뚫고 도적질하느니라
6:19 Make no store of wealth for yourselves on earth, where it may be turned to dust
by worms and weather, and where thieves may come in by force and take it away.
6:19 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust
does corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:
6:20 오직 너희를 위하여 보물을 하늘에 쌓아 두라 저기는 좀이나 동록이 해하지
못하며 도적이 구멍을 뚫지도 못하고 도적질도 못하느니라
6:20 But make a store for yourselves in heaven, where it will not be turned to dust and
where thieves do not come in to take it away:
6:20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor
rust does corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:
6:21 네 보물 있는 그 곳에는 네 마음도 있느니라
6:21 For where your wealth is, there will your heart be.
6:21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
6:22 눈은 몸의 등불이니 그러므로 네 눈이 성하면 온 몸이 밝을 것이요
6:22 The light of the body is the eye; if then your eye is true, all your body will be
full of light.
6:22 The light of the body is the eye: if therefore yours eye be single,
your whole body shall be full of light.
6:23 눈이 나쁘면 온 몸이 어두울 것이니 그러므로 네게 있는 빛이 어두우면 그
어두움이 얼마나 하겠느뇨
6:23 But if your eye is evil, all your body will be dark. If then the light which is
in you is dark, how dark it will be!
6:23 But if yours eye be evil, your whole body shall be full of darkness.
If therefore the light that is in you be darkness, how great is that darkness!
6:24 한 사람이 두 주인을 섬기지 못할 것이니 혹 이를 미워하며 저를 사랑하거나
혹 이를 중히 여기며 저를 경히 여김이라 너희가 하나님과 재물을 겸하여 섬기지
못하느니라
6:24 No man is able to be a servant to two masters: for he will have hate for the one
and love for the other, or he will keep to one and have no respect for the other.
You may not be servants of God and of wealth.
6:24 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love
the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. All of you
cannot serve God and mammon.
6:25 그러므로 내가 너희에게 이르노니 목숨을 위하여 무엇을 먹을까 무엇을 마실까
몸을 위하여 무엇을 입을까 염려하지 말라 목숨이 음식보다 중하지 아니하며 몸이
의복보다 중하지 아니하냐
6:25 So I say to you, Take no thought for your life, about food or drink, or about clothing
for your body. Is not life more than food, and the body more than its clothing?
6:25 Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what all of
you shall eat, or what all of you shall drink; nor yet for your body, what all
of you shall put on. Is not the life more than food, and the body than raiment?
6:26 공중의 새를 보라 심지도 않고 거두지도 않고 창고에 모아 들이지도 아니하되
너희 천부께서 기르시나니 너희는 이것들보다 귀하지 아니하냐
6:26 See the birds of heaven; they do not put seeds in the earth, they do not get in
grain, or put it in store-houses; and your Father in heaven gives them food. Are
you not of much more value than they?
6:26 Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap,
nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are all of you not
much better than they?
6:27 너희 중에 누가 염려함으로 그 키를 한 자나 더할 수 있느냐
6:27 And which of you by taking thought is able to make himself a cubit taller?
6:27 Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?
6:28 또 너희가 어찌 의복을 위하여 염려하느냐 들의 백합화가 어떻게 자라는가
생각하여 보라 수고도 아니하고 길쌈도 아니하느니라
6:28 And why are you troubled about clothing? See the flowers of the field, how they
come up; they do no work, they make no thread:
6:28 And why take all of you thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of
the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:
6:29 그러나 내가 너희에게 말하노니 솔로몬의 모든 영광으로도 입은 것이 이
꽃 하나만 같지 못하였느니라
6:29 But I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not clothed like one of
these.
6:29 And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed
like one of these.
6:30 오늘 있다가 내일 아궁이에 던지우는 들풀도 하나님이 이렇게 입히시거든
하물며 너희일까보냐 믿음이 적은 자들아
6:30 But if God gives such clothing to the grass of the field, which is here today and
tomorrow is put into the oven, will he not much more give you clothing, O you of
little faith?
6:30 Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is,
and tomorrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O all
of you of little faith?
6:31 그러므로 염려하여 이르기를 무엇을 먹을까 무엇을 마실까 무엇을 입을까
하지 말라
6:31 Then do not be full of care, saying, What are we to have for food or drink? or,
With what may we be clothed?
6:31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall
we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
6:32 이는 다 이방인들이 구하는 것이라 너희 천부께서 이 모든 것이 너희에게
있어야 할 줄을 아시느니라
6:32 Because the Gentiles go in search of all these things: for your Father in heaven
has knowledge that you have need of all these things:
6:32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly
Father knows that all of you have need of all these things.
6:33 너희는 먼저 그의 나라와 그의 의를 구하라 그리하면 이 모든 것을 너희에게
더하시리라
6:33 But let your first care be for his kingdom and his righteousness; and all these
other things will be given to you in addition.
6:33 But seek all of you first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness;
and all these things shall be added unto you.
6:34 그러므로 내일 일을 위하여 염려하지 말라 내일 일은 내일 염려할 것이요
한 날 괴로움은 그 날에 족하니라
6:34 Then have no care for tomorrow: tomorrow will take care of itself. Take the trouble
of the day as it comes.
6:34 Take therefore no thought for the next day: for the next day shall take
thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.
7:1 비판을 받지 아니하려거든 비판하지 말라
7:1 Be not judges of others, and you will not be judged.
7:1 Judge not, that all of you be not judged.
7:2 너희의 비판하는 그 비판으로 너희가 비판을 받을 것이요 너희의 헤아리는
그 헤아림으로 너희가 헤아림을 받을 것이니라
7:2 For as you have been judging, so you will be judged, and with your measure will
it be measured to you.
7:2 For with what judgment all of you judge, all of you shall be judged:
and with what measure all of you mete, it shall be measured to you again.
7:3 어찌하여 형제의 눈 속에 있는 티는 보고 네 눈 속에 있는 들보는 깨닫지 못하느냐
7:3 And why do you take note of the grain of dust in your brother's eye, but take no
note of the bit of wood which is in your eye?
7:3 And why behold you the splinter that is in your brother's eye, but consider
not the beam that is in yours own eye?
7:4 보라 네 눈 속에 들보가 있는데 어찌하여 형제에게 말하기를 나로 네 눈 속에
있는 티를 빼게 하라 하겠느냐
7:4 Or how will you say to your brother, Let me take out the grain of dust from your
eye, when you yourself have a bit of wood in your eye?
7:4 Or how will you say to your brother, Let me pull out the splinter out
of yours eye; and, behold, a beam is in yours own eye?
7:5 외식하는 자여 먼저 네 눈 속에서 들보를 빼어라 그 후에야 밝히 보고 형제의
눈 속에서 티를 빼리라
7:5 You false one, first take out the bit of wood from your eye, then will you see clearly
to take out the grain of dust from your brother's eye.
7:5 You hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of yours own eye; and then
shall you see clearly to cast out the splinter out of your brother's eye.
7:6 ○ 거룩한 것을 개에게 주지 말며 너희 진주를 돼지 앞에 던지지 말라 저희가
그것을 발로 밟고 돌이켜 너희를 찢어 상할까 염려하라
7:6 Do not give that which is holy to the dogs, or put your jewels before pigs, for
fear that they will be crushed under foot by the pigs whose attack will then be
made against you.
7:6 Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast all of you your
pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and return and
rend you.
7:7 ○ 구하라 그러면 너희에게 주실 것이요 찾으라 그러면 찾을 것이요 문을
두드리라 그러면 너희에게 열릴 것이니
7:7 Make a request, and it will be answered; what you are searching for you will get;
give the sign, and the door will be open to you:
7:7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and all of you shall find; knock,
and it shall be opened unto you:
7:8 구하는 이마다 얻을 것이요 찾는 이가 찾을 것이요 두드리는 이에게 열릴
것이니라
7:8 Because to everyone who makes a request, it will be given; and he who is searching
will get his desire, and to him who gives the sign, the door will be open.
7:8 For every one that asks receives; and he that seeks finds; and to him
that knocks it shall be opened.
7:9 너희 중에 누가 아들이 떡을 달라 하면 돌을 주며
7:9 Or which of you, if his son makes a request for bread, will give him a stone?
7:9 Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give
him a stone?
7:10 생선을 달라 하면 뱀을 줄 사람이 있겠느냐
7:10 Or if he makes a request for a fish, will give him a snake?
7:10 Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent?
7:11 너희가 악한 자라도 좋은 것으로 자식에게 줄줄 알거든 하물며 하늘에 계신
너희 아버지께서 구하는 자에게 좋은 것으로 주시지 않겠느냐
7:11 If you, then, being evil, are able to give good things to your children, how much
more will your Father in heaven give good things to those who make requests to him?
7:11 If all of you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your
children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things
to them that ask him?
7:12 그러므로 무엇이든지 남에게 대접을 받고자 하는 대로 너희도 남을 대접하라
이것이 율법이요 선지자니라
7:12 All those things, then, which you would have men do to you, even so do you to them:
because this is the law and the prophets.
7:12 Therefore all things whatsoever all of you would that men should do
to you, do all of you even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.
7:13 ○ 좁은 문으로 들어가라 멸망으로 인도하는 문은 크고 그 길이 넓어 그리로
들어가는 자가 많고
7:13 Go in by the narrow door; for wide is the door and open is the way which goes to
destruction, and great numbers go in by it.
7:13 Enter all of you in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad
is the way, that leads to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
7:14 생명으로 인도하는 문은 좁고 길이 협착하여 찾는 이가 적음이니라
7:14 For narrow is the door and hard the road to life, and only a small number make discovery
of it.
7:14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leads unto
life, and few there be that find it.
7:15 ○ 거짓 선지자들을 삼가라 양의 옷을 입고 너희에게 나아오나 속에는 노략질하는
이리라
7:15 Be on the watch for false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inside
they are cruel wolves.
7:15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but
inwardly they are ravening wolves.
7:16 그의 열매로 그들을 알지니 가시나무에서 포도를, 또는 엉겅퀴에서 무화과를
따겠느냐
7:16 By their fruits you will get knowledge of them. Do men get grapes from thorns or
figs from thistles?
7:16 All of you shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of
thorns, or figs of thistles?
7:17 이와 같이 좋은 나무마다 아름다운 열매를 맺고 못된 나무가 나쁜 열매를
맺나니
7:17 Even so, every good tree gives good fruit; but the bad tree gives evil fruit.
7:17 Even so every good tree brings forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree
brings forth evil fruit.
7:18 좋은 나무가 나쁜 열매를 맺을 수 없고 못된 나무가 아름다운 열매를 맺을
수 없느니라
7:18 It is not possible for a good tree to give bad fruit, and a bad tree will not give
good fruit.
7:18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree
bring forth good fruit.
7:19 아름다운 열매를 맺지 아니하는 나무마다 찍혀 불에 던지우니라
7:19 Every tree which does not give good fruit is cut down and put in the fire.
7:19 Every tree that brings not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into
the fire.
7:20 이러므로 그의 열매로 그들을 알리라
7:20 So by their fruits you will get knowledge of them.
7:20 Wherefore by their fruits all of you shall know them.
7:21 나더러 주여 주여 하는 자마다 천국에 다 들어갈 것이 아니요 다만 하늘에
계신 내 아버지의 뜻대로 행하는 자라야 들어가리라
7:21 Not everyone who says to me, Lord, Lord, will go into the kingdom of heaven; but
he who does the pleasure of my Father in heaven.
7:21 Not every one that says unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom
of heaven; but he that does the will of my Father which is in heaven.
7:22 그 날에 많은 사람이 나더러 이르되 주여 주여 우리가 주의 이름으로 선지자
노릇하며 주의 이름으로 귀신을 쫓아 내며 주의 이름으로 많은 권능을 행치 아니하였나이까
하리니
7:22 A great number will say to me on that day, Lord, Lord, were we not prophets in your
name, and did we not by your name send out evil spirits, and by your name do works
of power?
7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied
in your name? and in your name have cast out devils? and in your name done many
wonderful works?
7:23 그때에 내가 저희에게 밝히 말하되 내가 너희를 도무지 알지 못하니 불법을
행하는 자들아 내게서 떠나가라 하리라
7:23 And then will I say to them, I never had knowledge of you: go from me, you workers
of evil.
7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me,
all of you that work iniquity.
7:24 그러므로 누구든지 나의 이 말을 듣고 행하는 자는 그 집을 반석 위에 지은
지혜로운 사람 같으리니
7:24 Everyone, then, to whom my words come and who does them, will be like a wise man
who made his house on a rock;
7:24 Therefore whosoever hears these sayings (o. logos) of mine, and does
them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:
7:25 비가 내리고 창수가 나고 바람이 불어 그 집에 부딪히되 무너지지 아니하나니
이는 주초를 반석 위에 놓은 연고요
7:25 And the rain came down and there was a rush of waters and the winds were driving
against that house, but it was not moved; because it was based on the rock.
7:25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and
beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.
7:26 나의 이 말을 듣고 행치 아니하는 자는 그 집을 모래 위에 지은 어리석은
사람 같으리니
7:26 And everyone to whom my words come and who does them not, will be like a foolish
man who made his house on sand;
7:26 And every one that hears these sayings (o. logos) of mine, and does
them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the
sand:
7:27 비가 내리고 창수가 나고 바람이 불어 그 집에 부딪히매 무너져 그 무너짐이
심하니라
7:27 And the rain came down and there was a rush of waters and the winds were driving
against that house; and it came down and great was its fall.
7:27 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and
beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.
7:28 ○ 예수께서 이 말씀을 마치시매 무리들이 그 가르치심에 놀래니
7:28 And it came about, when Jesus had come to the end of these words, that the people
were surprised at his teaching,
7:28 And it came to pass, when Jesus had ended these sayings, (o. logos)
the people were astonished at his doctrine:
7:29 이는 그 가르치시는 것이 권세 있는 자와 같고 저희 서기관들과 같지 아니함일러라
7:29 for he was teaching as one having authority, and not as their scribes.
7:29 For he taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes.
8:1 예수께서 산에서 내려 오시니 허다한 무리가 좇으니라
8:1 And when he had come down from the mountain, great numbers of people came after
him.
8:1 When he was come down from the mountain, great multitudes followed him.
8:2 한 문둥병자가 나아와 절하고 가로되 주여 원하시면 저를 깨끗케 하실 수
있나이다 하거늘
8:2 And a leper came and gave him worship, saying, Lord, if it is your pleasure, you
have power to make me clean.
8:2 And, behold, there came a leper and worshipped him, saying, Lord, if
you will, you can make me clean.
8:3 예수께서 손을 내밀어 저에게 대시며 가라사대 내가 원하노니 깨끗함을 받으라
하신대 즉시 그의 문둥병이 깨끗하여진지라
8:3 And he put his hand on him, saying, It is my pleasure; be clean. And straight away
he was made clean.
8:3 And Jesus put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will; be you
clean. And immediately his leprosy was cleansed.
8:4 예수께서 이르시되 삼가 아무에게도 이르지 말고 다만 가서 제사장에게 네
몸을 보이고 모세의 명한 예물을 드려 저희에게 증거하라 하시니라
8:4 And Jesus said to him, See that you say nothing about this to anyone; but go and
let the priest see you and make the offering which was ordered by Moses, for a witness
to them.
8:4 And Jesus says unto him, See you tell no man; but go your way, show yourself
to the priest, and offer the gift that Moses commanded, for a testimony unto
them.
8:5 ○ 예수께서 가버나움에 들어가시니 한 백부장이 나아와 간구하여
8:5 And when Jesus was come into Capernaum, a certain captain came to him with a request,
8:5 And when Jesus was entered into Capernaum, there came unto him a centurion,
beseeching him,
8:6 가로되 주여 내 하인이 중풍병으로 집에 누워 몹시 괴로워하나이다
8:6 Saying, Lord, my servant is ill in bed at the house, with no power in his body,
and in great pain.
8:6 And saying, Lord, my servant lies at home sick of the palsy, grievously
tormented.
8:7 가라사대 내가 가서 고쳐 주리라
8:7 And he said to him, I will come and make him well.
8:7 And Jesus says unto him, I will come and heal him.
8:8 백부장이 대답하여 가로되 주여 내 집에 들어오심을 나는 감당치 못하겠사오니
다만 말씀으로만 하옵소서 그러면 내 하인이 낫겠삽나이다
8:8 And the captain in answer said, Lord, I am not good enough for you to come under
my roof; but only say the word, and my servant will be made well.
8:8 The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that you should
come under my roof: but speak the word (o. logos) only, and my servant shall
be healed.
8:9 나도 남의 수하에 있는 사람이요 내 아래도 군사가 있으니 이더러 가라 하면
가고 저더러 오라 하면 오고 내 종더러 이것을 하라 하면 하나이다
8:9 Because I myself am a man under authority, having under me fighting men; and I say
to this one, Go, and he goes; and to another, Come, and he comes; and to my servant,
Do this, and he does it.
8:9 For I am a man under authority, having soldiers under me: and I say to
this man, Go, and he goes; and to another, Come, and he comes; and to my servant,
Do this, and he does it.
8:10 예수께서 들으시고 기이히 여겨 좇는 자들에게 이르시되 내가 진실로 너희에게
이르노니 이스라엘 중 아무에게서도 이만한 믿음을 만나보지 못하였노라
8:10 And when these words came to the ears of Jesus he was surprised, and said to those
who came after him, Truly I say to you, I have not seen such great faith, no, not
in Israel.
8:10 When Jesus heard it, he marvelled, and said to them that followed, Verily
I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.
8:11 또 너희에게 이르노니 동서로부터 많은 사람이 이르러 아브라함과 이삭과
야곱과 함께 천국에 앉으려니와
8:11 And I say to you that numbers will come from the east and the west, and will take
their seats with Abraham and Isaac and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven:
8:11 And I say unto you, That many shall come from the east and west, and
shall sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven.
8:12 나라의 본 자손들은 바깥 어두운 데 쫓겨나 거기서 울며 이를 갊이 있으리라
8:12 But the sons of the kingdom will be put out into the dark, and there will be weeping
and cries of pain.
8:12 But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness:
there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
8:13 예수께서 백부장에게 이르시되 가라 네 믿은 대로 될지어다 하시니 그 시로
하인이 나으니라
8:13 And Jesus said to the captain, Go in peace; as your faith is, so let it be done
to you. And the servant was made well in that hour.
8:13 And Jesus said unto the centurion, Go your way; and as you have believed,
so be it done unto you. And his servant was healed in the very same hour.
8:14 ○ 예수께서 베드로의 집에 들어가사 그의 장모가 열병으로 앓아 누운 것을
보시고
8:14 And when Jesus had come into Peter's house, he saw his wife's mother in bed, very
ill.
8:14 And when Jesus was come into Peter's house, he saw his wife's mother
laid, and sick of a fever.
8:15 그의 손을 만지시니 열병이 떠나가고 여인이 일어나서 예수께 수종들더라
8:15 And he put his hand on hers and the disease went from her, and she got up and took
care of his needs.
8:15 And he touched her hand, and the fever left her: and she arose, and
ministered unto them.
8:16 저물매 사람들이 귀신 들린 자를 많이 데리고 예수께 오거늘 예수께서 말씀으로
귀신들을 쫓아 내시고 병든 자를 다 고치시니
8:16 And in the evening, they took to him a number of people who had evil spirits; and
he sent the spirits out of them with a word, and made well all who were ill;
8:16 When the even was come, they brought unto him many that were possessed
with devils: and he cast out the spirits (o. pneuma) with his word, (o. logos)
and healed all that were sick:
8:17 이는 선지자 이사야로 하신 말씀에 우리 연약한 것을 친히 담당하시고 병을
짊어지셨도다 함을 이루려 하심이더라
8:17 So that the word of Isaiah the prophet might come true: He himself took our pains
and our diseases.
8:17 That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying,
Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses.
8:18 ○ 예수께서 무리가 자기를 에워쌈을 보시고 저편으로 건너가기를 명하시니라
8:18 Now when Jesus saw a great mass of people about him, he gave an order to go to the
other side.
8:18 Now when Jesus saw great multitudes about him, he gave commandment to
depart unto the other side.
8:19 한 서기관이 나아와 예수께 말씀하되 선생님이여 어디로 가시든지 저는 좇으리이다
8:19 And there came a scribe and said to him, Master, I will come after you wherever
you go.
8:19 And a certain scribe came, and said unto him, Master, I will follow
you anywhere you go.
8:20 예수께서 이르시되 여우도 굴이 있고 공중의 새도 거처가 있으되 오직 인자는
머리 둘 곳이 없다 하시더라
8:20 And Jesus said to him, The foxes have holes, and the birds of heaven have a resting-place;
but the Son of man has nowhere to put his head.
8:20 And Jesus says unto him, The foxes have holes, and the birds of the
air have nests; but the Son of man has not where to lay his head.
8:21 제자 중에 또 하나가 가로되 주여 나로 먼저 가서 내 부친을 장사하게 허락하옵소서
8:21 And another of the disciples said to him, Lord, let me first go and give the last
honours to my father.
8:21 And another of his disciples said unto him, Lord, suffer me first to
go and bury my father.
8:22 예수께서 가라사대 죽은 자들로 저희 죽은 자를 장사하게 하고 너는 나를
좇으라 하시니라
8:22 But Jesus said to him, Come after me; and let the dead take care of their dead.
8:22 But Jesus said unto him, Follow me; and let the dead bury their dead.
8:23 ○ 배에 오르시매 제자들이 좇았더니
8:23 And when he had got into a boat, his disciples went after him.
8:23 And when he was entered into a ship, his disciples followed him.
8:24 바다에 큰 놀이 일어나 물결이 배에 덮이게 되었으되 예수는 주무시는지라
8:24 And there came up a great storm in the sea, so that the boat was covered with the
waves: but he was sleeping.
8:24 And, behold, there arose a great tempest in the sea, insomuch that the
ship was covered with the waves: but he was asleep.
8:25 그 제자들이 나아와 깨우며 가로되 주여 구원하소서 우리가 죽겠나이다
8:25 And they came to him, and, awaking him, said, Help, Lord; destruction is near.
8:25 And his disciples came to him, and awoke him, saying, Lord, save us:
we perish.
8:26 예수께서 이르시되 어찌하여 무서워하느냐 믿음이 적은 자들아 하시고 곧
일어나사 바람과 바다를 꾸짖으신대 아주 잔잔하게 되거늘
8:26 And he said to them, Why are you full of fear, O you of little faith? Then he got
up and gave orders to the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm.
8:26 And he says unto them, Why are all of you fearful, O all of you of little
faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great
calm.
8:27 그 사람들이 기이히 여겨 가로되 이 어떠한 사람이기에 바람과 바다도 순종하는고
하더라
8:27 And the men were full of wonder, saying, What sort of man is this, that even the
winds and the sea do his orders?
8:27 But the men marvelled, saying, What manner of man is this, that even
the winds and the sea obey him!
8:28 ○ 또 예수께서 건너편 가다라 지방에 가시매 귀신 들린 자 둘이 무덤 사이에서
나와 예수를 만나니 저희는 심히 사나와 아무도 그 길로 지나갈 수 없을 만하더라
8:28 And when he had come to the other side, to the country of the Gadarenes, there came
out to him from the place of the dead, two who had evil spirits, so violent that
no man was able to go that way.
8:28 And when he was come to the other side into the country of the Gergesenes,
there met him two possessed with devils, coming out of the tombs, exceeding
fierce, so that no man might pass by that way.
8:29 이에 저희가 소리 질러 가로되 하나님의 아들이여 우리와 당신과 무슨 상관이
있나이까 때가 이르기 전에 우리를 괴롭게 하려고 여기 오셨나이까 하더니
8:29 And they gave a loud cry, saying, What have we to do with you, you Son of God? Have
you come here to give us punishment before the time?
8:29 And, behold, they cried out, saying, What have we to do with you, Jesus,
you Son of God? are you come here to torment us before the time?
8:30 마침 멀리서 많은 돼지 떼가 먹고 있는지라
8:30 Now there was, some distance away, a great herd of pigs taking their food.
8:30 And there was a good way off from them an herd of many swine feeding.
8:31 귀신들이 예수께 간구하여 가로되 만일 우리를 쫓아 내실진대 돼지 떼에
들여 보내소서 한 대
8:31 And the evil spirits made strong prayers to him, saying, If you send us out, let
us go into the herd of pigs.
8:31 So the devils besought him, saying, If you cast us out, suffer us to
go away into the herd of swine.
8:32 저희더러 가라 하시니 귀신들이 나와서 돼지에게로 들어가는지라 온 떼가
비탈로 내리달아 바다에 들어가서 물에서 몰사하거늘
8:32 And he said to them, Go. And they came out, and went into the pigs; and the herd
went rushing down a sharp slope into the sea and came to their end in the water.
8:32 And he said unto them, Go. And when they were come out, they went into
the herd of swine: and, behold, the whole herd of swine ran violently down a
steep place into the sea, and perished in the waters.
8:33 치던 자들이 달아나 시내에 들어가 이 모든 일과 귀신 들린 자의 일을 고하니
8:33 And their keepers went in flight to the town and gave an account of everything,
and of the men who had the evil spirits.
8:33 And they that kept them fled, and went their ways into the city, and
told every thing, and what was befallen to the possessed of the devils.
8:34 온 시내가 예수를 만나려고 나가서 보고 그 지방에서 떠나시기를 간구하더라
8:34 And all the town came out to Jesus; and seeing him they made request that he would
go away from their part of the country.
8:34 And, behold, the whole city came out to meet Jesus: and when they saw
him, they besought him that he would depart out of their coasts.
9:1 예수께서 배에 오르사 건너가 본 동네에 이르시니
9:1 And he got into a boat and went across and came to his town.
9:1 And he entered into a ship, and passed over, and came into his own city.
9:2 침상에 누운 중풍병자를 사람들이 데리고 오거늘 예수께서 저희의 믿음을
보시고 중풍병자에게 이르시되 소자야 안심하라 네 죄 사함을 받았느니라
9:2 And they took to him a man stretched on a bed who had no power of moving; and Jesus,
seeing their faith, said to the man who was ill, Son, take heart; you have forgiveness
for your sins.
9:2 And, behold, they brought to him a man sick of the palsy, lying on a
bed: and Jesus seeing their faith said unto the sick of the palsy; Son, be of
good cheer; your sins be forgiven you.
9:3 어떤 서기관들이 속으로 이르되 이 사람이 참람하도다
9:3 And some of the scribes said among themselves, This man has no respect for God.
9:3 And, behold, certain of the scribes said within themselves, This man
blasphemes.
9:4 예수께서 그 생각을 아시고 가라사대 너희가 어찌하여 마음에 악한 생각을
하느냐
9:4 And Jesus, having knowledge of what was in their minds, said, Why are your thoughts
evil?
9:4 And Jesus knowing their thoughts said, Wherefore think all of you evil
in your hearts?
9:5 네 죄 사함을 받았느니라 하는 말과 일어나 걸어가라 하는 말이 어느 것이
쉽겠느냐
9:5 For which is the simpler, to say, You have forgiveness for your sins; or to say,
Get up and go?
9:5 For whether is easier, to say, Your sins be forgiven you; or to say,
Arise, and walk?
9:6 그러나 인자가 세상에서 죄를 사하는 권세가 있는 줄을 너희로 알게 하려
하노라 하시고 중풍병자에게 말씀하시되 일어나 네 침상을 가지고 집으로 가라 하시니
9:6 But so that you may see that on earth the Son of man has authority for the forgiveness
of sins, (then said he to the man who was ill,) Get up, and take up your bed, and
go to your house.
9:6 But that all of you may know that the Son of man has power on earth to
forgive sins, (then says he to the sick of the palsy,) Arise, take up your bed,
and go unto yours house.
9:7 그가 일어나 집으로 돌아가거늘
9:7 And he got up and went away to his house.
9:7 And he arose, and departed to his house.
9:8 무리가 보고 두려워하며 이런 권세를 사람에게 주신 하나님께 영광을 돌리니라
9:8 But when the people saw it they were full of fear, and gave glory to God who had
given such authority to men.
9:8 But when the multitudes saw it, they marvelled, and glorified God, which
had given such power unto men.
9:9 ○ 예수께서 거기서 떠나 지나가시다가 마태라 하는 사람이 세관에 앉은 것을
보시고 이르시되 나를 좇으라 하시니 일어나 좇으니라
9:9 And when Jesus was going from there, he saw a man whose name was Matthew, seated
at the place where taxes were taken; and he said to him, Come after me. And he got
up and went after him.
9:9 And as Jesus passed forth from thence, he saw a man, named Matthew, sitting
at the receipt of custom: and he says unto him, Follow me. And he arose, and
followed him.
9:10 예수께서 마태의 집에서 앉아 음식을 잡수실 때에 많은 세리와 죄인들이
와서 예수와 그 제자들과 함께 앉았더니
9:10 And it came about, when he was in the house taking food, that a number of tax-farmers
and sinners came and took their places with Jesus and his disciples.
9:10 And it came to pass, as Jesus sat at food in the house, behold, many
publicans and sinners came and sat down with him and his disciples.
9:11 바리새인들이 보고 그 제자들에게 이르되 어찌하여 너희 선생은 세리와 죄인들과
함께 잡수시느냐
9:11 And when the Pharisees saw it, they said to his disciples, Why does your Master
take food with tax-farmers and sinners?
9:11 And when the Pharisees saw it, they said unto his disciples, Why eats
your Master with publicans and sinners?
9:12 예수께서 들으시고 이르시되 건강한 자에게는 의원이 쓸 데 없고 병든 자에게라야
쓸 데 있느니라
9:12 But on hearing this he said, Those who are well have no need of a medical man, but
those who are ill.
9:12 But when Jesus heard that, he said unto them, They that be whole need
not a physician, but they that are sick.
9:13 너희는 가서 내가 긍휼을 원하고 제사를 원치 아니하노라 하신 뜻이 무엇인지
배우라 내가 의인을 부르러 온 것이 아니요 죄인을 부르러 왔노라 하시니라
9:13 But go and take to heart the sense of these words, My desire is for mercy, not offerings:
for I have come not to get the upright, but sinners.
9:13 But go all of you and learn what that means, I will have mercy, and
not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
9:14 ○ 그때에 요한의 제자들이 예수께 나아와 가로되 우리와 바리새인들은
금식하는데 어찌하여 당신의 제자들은 금식하지 아니하나이까
9:14 Then the disciples of John came to him, saying, Why do we and the Pharisees frequently
go without food, but your disciples do not?
9:14 Then came to him the disciples of John, saying, Why do we and the Pharisees
fast often, but your disciples fast not?
9:15 예수께서 저희에게 이르시되 혼인집 손님들이 신랑과 함께 있을 동안에 슬퍼할
수 있느뇨 그러나 신랑을 빼앗길 날이 이르리니 그때에는 금식할 것이니라
9:15 And Jesus said to them, Will the friends of the newly-married man be sad as long
as he is with them? But the days will come when he will be taken away from them,
and then will they go without food.
9:15 And Jesus said unto them, Can the children of the bride-chamber mourn,
as long as the bridegroom is with them? but the days will come, when the bridegroom
shall be taken from them, and then shall they fast.
9:16 생베 조각을 낡은 옷에 붙이는 자가 없나니 이는 기운 것이 그 옷을 당기어
해어짐이 더하게 됨이요
9:16 And no man puts a bit of new cloth on an old coat, for by pulling away from the
old, it makes a worse hole.
9:16 No man puts a piece of new cloth unto an old garment, for that which
is put in to fill it up takes from the garment, and the rent is made worse.
9:17 새 포도주를 낡은 가죽 부대에 넣지 아니하나니 그렇게 하면 부대가 터져
포도주도 쏟아지고 부대도 버리게 됨이라 새 포도주는 새 부대에 넣어야 둘이 다
보전되느니라
9:17 And men do not put new wine into old wine-skins; or the skins will be burst and
the wine will come out, and the skins are of no more use: but they put new wine
into new wine-skins, and so the two will be safe.
9:17 Neither do men put new wine into old bottles: else the bottles break,
and the wine runs out, and the bottles perish: but they put new wine into new
bottles, and both are preserved.
9:18 ○ 예수께서 이 말씀을 하실 때에 한 직원이 와서 절하고 가로되 내 딸이
방장 죽었사오나 오셔서 그 몸에 손을 얹으소서 그러면 살겠나이다 하니
9:18 While he was saying these things to them, there came a ruler and gave him worship,
saying, My daughter is even now dead; but come and put your hand on her, and she
will come back to life.
9:18 While he spoke these things unto them, behold, there came a certain
ruler, and worshipped him, saying, My daughter is even now dead: but come and
lay your hand upon her, and she shall live.
9:19 예수께서 일어나 따라가시매 제자들도 가더니
9:19 And Jesus got up and went after him, and so did his disciples.
9:19 And Jesus arose, and followed him, and so did his disciples.
9:20 열 두 해를 혈루증으로 앓는 여자가 예수의 뒤로 와서 그 겉옷 가를 만지니
9:20 And a woman, who for twelve years had had a flow of blood, came after him, and put
her hand on the edge of his robe:
9:20 And, behold, a woman, which was diseased with an issue of blood twelve
years, came behind him, and touched the hem of his garment:
9:21 이는 제 마음에 그 겉옷만 만져도 구원을 받겠다 함이라
9:21 Because, she said to herself, if I may but put my hand on his robe, I will be made
well.
9:21 For she said within herself, If I may but touch his garment, I shall
be whole.
9:22 예수께서 돌이켜 그를 보시며 가라사대 딸아 안심하라 네 믿음이 너를 구원하였다
하시니 여자가 그 시로 구원을 받으니라
9:22 But Jesus, turning and seeing her, said, Daughter, take heart; your faith has made
you well. And the woman was made well from that hour.
9:22 But Jesus turned him about, and when he saw her, he said, Daughter,
be of good comfort; your faith has made you whole. And the woman was made whole
from that hour.
9:23 예수께서 그 직원의 집에 가사 피리 부는 자들과 훤화하는 무리를 보시고
9:23 And when Jesus came into the ruler's house and saw the players with their instruments
and the people making a noise,
9:23 And when Jesus came into the ruler's house, and saw the minstrels and
the people making a noise,
9:24 가라사대 물러가라 이 소녀가 죽은 것이 아니라 잔다 하시니 저들이 비웃더라
9:24 He said, Make room; for the girl is not dead, but sleeping. And they were laughing
at him.
9:24 He said unto them, Give place: for the maid is not dead, but sleeps.
And they laughed him to scorn.
9:25 무리를 내어보낸 후에 예수께서 들어가사 소녀의 손을 잡으시매 일어나는지라
9:25 But when the people were sent out, he went in and took her by the hand; and the
girl got up.
9:25 But when the people were put forth, he went in, and took her by the
hand, and the maid arose.
9:26 그 소문이 그 온 땅에 퍼지더라
9:26 And the news of it went out into all that land.
9:26 And the fame hereof went abroad into all that land.
9:27 ○ 예수께서 거기서 떠나가실새 두 소경이 따라오며 소리 질러 가로되
다윗의 자손이여 우리를 불쌍히 여기소서 하더니
9:27 And when Jesus went on from there, two blind men came after him, crying out, Have
mercy on us, you Son of David.
9:27 And when Jesus departed thence, two blind men followed him, crying,
and saying, You son of David, have mercy on us.
9:28 예수께서 집에 들어가시매 소경들이 나아오거늘 예수께서 이르시되 내가
능히 이 일 할 줄을 믿느냐 대답하되 주여 그러하오이다 하니
9:28 And when he had come into the house, the blind men came to him; and Jesus said to
them, Have you faith that I am able to do this? They said to him, Yes, Lord.
9:28 And when he was come into the house, the blind men came to him: and
Jesus says unto them, Believe all of you that I am able to do this? They said
unto him, Yea, Lord.
9:29 이에 예수께서 저희 눈을 만지시며 가라사대 너희 믿음대로 되라 하신대
9:29 Then he put his hand on their eyes, saying, As your faith is, let it be done to
you.
9:29 Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto
you.
9:30 그 눈들이 밝아진지라 예수께서 엄히 경계하시되 삼가 아무에게도 알게 하지
말라 하셨으나
9:30 And their eyes were made open. And Jesus said to them sharply, Let no man have knowledge
of it.
9:30 And their eyes were opened; and Jesus strictly charged them, saying,
See that no man know it.
9:31 저희가 나가서 예수의 소문을 그 온 땅에 전파하니라
9:31 But they went out and gave news of him in all that land.
9:31 But they, when they were departed, spread abroad his fame in all that
country.
9:32 ○ 저희가 나갈 때에 귀신 들려 벙어리 된 자를 예수께 데려오니
9:32 And while they were going away, there came to him a man without the power of talking,
and with an evil spirit.
9:32 As they went out, behold, they brought to him a dumb man possessed with
a devil.
9:33 귀신이 쫓겨나고 벙어리가 말하거늘 무리가 기이히 여겨 가로되 이스라엘
가운데서 이런 일을 본 때가 없다 하되
9:33 And when the evil spirit had been sent out, the man had the power of talking: and
they were all surprised, saying, Such a thing has never been seen in Israel.
9:33 And when the devil was cast out, the dumb spoke: and the multitudes
marvelled, saying, It was never so seen in Israel.
9:34 바리새인들은 가로되 저가 귀신의 왕을 빙자하여 귀신을 쫓아낸다 하더라
9:34 But the Pharisees said, By the ruler of evil spirits, he sends evil spirits out
of men.
9:34 But the Pharisees said, He casts out devils through the prince of the
devils.
9:35 ○ 예수께서 모든 성과 촌에 두루 다니사 저희 회당에서 가르치시며 천국
복음을 전파하시며 모든 병과 모든 약한 것을 고치시니라
9:35 And Jesus went about all the towns and small places, teaching in their Synagogues
and preaching the good news of the kingdom and making well all sorts of disease
and pain.
9:35 And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their
synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness
and every disease among the people.
9:36 무리를 보시고 민망히 여기시니 이는 저희가 목자 없는 양과 같이 고생하며
유리함이라
9:36 But when he saw all the people he was moved with pity for them, because they were
troubled and wandering like sheep without a keeper.
9:36 But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them,
because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd.
9:37 이에 제자들에게 이르시되 추수할 것은 많되 일군은 적으니
9:37 Then he said to his disciples, There is much grain but not enough men to get it
in.
9:37 Then says he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is abundant, but
the labourers are few;
9:38 그러므로 추수하는 주인에게 청하여 추수할 일군들을 보내어 주소서 하라
하시니라
9:38 Make prayer, then, to the Lord of the grain-fields, that he may send out workers
to get in his grain.
9:38 Pray all of you therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send
forth labourers into his harvest.
10:1 예수께서 그 열 두 제자를 부르사 더러운 귀신을 쫓아내며 모든 병과 모든
약한 것을 고치는 권능을 주시니라
10:1 And he got together his twelve disciples and gave them the power of driving out
unclean spirits, and of making well all sorts of disease and pain.
10:1 And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power
against unclean spirits, (o. pneuma) to cast them out, and to heal all manner
of sickness and all manner of disease.
10:2 ○ 열 두 사도의 이름은 이러하니 베드로라 하는 시몬을 비롯하여 그의 형제
안드레와 세베대의 아들 야고보와 그의 형제 요한,
10:2 Now the names of the twelve are these: The first, Simon, who is named Peter, and
Andrew, his brother; James, the son of Zebedee, and John, his brother;
10:2 Now the names of the twelve apostles are these; The first, Simon, who
is called Peter, and Andrew his brother; James the son of Zebedee, and John
his brother;
10:3 빌립과 바돌로매, 도마와 세리 마태, 알패오의 아들 야고보와 다대오,
10:3 Philip and Bartholomew; Thomas and Matthew, the tax-farmer; James, the son of Alphaeus,
and Thaddaeus;
10:3 Philip, and Bartholomew; Thomas, and Matthew the publican; James the
son of Alphaeus, and Lebbaeus, whose surname was Thaddaeus;
10:4 가나안인 시몬과 및 가룟 유다 곧 예수를 판 자라
10:4 Simon the Zealot, and Judas Iscariot, who was false to him.
10:4 Simon the Canaanite, and Judas Iscariot, who also betrayed him.
10:5 예수께서 이 열 둘을 내어보내시며 명하여 가라사대 이방인의 길로도 가지
말고 사마리아인의 고을에도 들어가지 말고
10:5 These twelve Jesus sent out and gave them orders, saying, Do not go among the Gentiles,
or into any town of Samaria,
10:5 These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into
the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter all of you
not:
10:6 차라리 이스라엘 집의 잃어버린 양에게로 가라
10:6 But go to the wandering sheep of the house of Israel,
10:6 But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
10:7 가면서 전파하여 말하되 천국이 가까왔다 하고
10:7 And, on your way, say, The kingdom of heaven is near.
10:7 And as all of you go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.
10:8 병든 자를 고치며 죽은 자를 살리며 문둥이를 깨끗하게 하며 귀신을 쫓아내되
너희가 거저 받았으니 거저 주어라
10:8 Make well those who are ill, give life to the dead, make lepers clean, send evil
spirits out of men; freely it has been given to you, freely give.
10:8 Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils:
freely all of you have received, freely give.
10:9 너희 전대에 금이나 은이나 동이나 가지지 말고
10:9 Take no gold or silver or copper in your pockets;
10:9 Provide neither gold, nor silver, nor brass in your purses,
10:10 여행을 위하여 주머니나 두 벌 옷이나 신이나 지팡이를 가지지 말라 이는
일군이 저 먹을 것 받는 것이 마땅함이니라
10:10 Take no bag for your journey and do not take two coats or shoes or a stick: for
the workman has a right to his food.
10:10 Nor pouch for your journey, neither two coats, neither shoes, nor yet
staves: for the workman is worthy of his food.
10:11 아무 성이나 촌에 들어가든지 그 중에 합당한 자를 찾아내어 너희 떠나기까지
거기서 머물라
10:11 And into whatever town or small place you go, make search there for someone who
is respected, and make his house your resting-place till you go away.
10:11 And into whatsoever city or town all of you shall enter, enquire who
in it is worthy; and there abide till all of you go thence.
10:12 또 그 집에 들어가면서 평안하기를 빌라
10:12 And when you go in, say, May peace be on this house.
10:12 And when all of you come into an house, salute it.
10:13 그 집이 이에 합당하면 너희 빈 평안이 거기 임할 것이요 만일 합당치 아니하면
그 평안이 너희에게 돌아올 것이니라
10:13 And if the house is good enough, let your peace come on it: but if not, let your
peace come back to you.
10:13 And if the house be worthy, let your peace come upon it: but if it
be not worthy, let your peace return to you.
10:14 누구든지 너희를 영접도 아니하고 너희 말을 듣지도 아니하거든 그 집이나
성에서 나가 너희 발의 먼지를 떨어 버리라
10:14 And whoever will not take you in, or give ear to your words, when you go out from
that house or that town, put off its dust from your feet.
10:14 And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, (o. logos)
when all of you depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your
feet.
10:15 내가 진실로 너희에게 이르노니 심판 날에 소돔과 고모라 땅이 그 성보다
견디기 쉬우리라
10:15 Truly I say to you, It will be better for the land of Sodom and Gomorrah in the
day of God's judging than for that town.
10:15 Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom
and Gomorrha in the day of judgment, than for that city.
10:16 ○ 보라 내가 너희를 보냄이 양을 이리 가운데 보냄과 같도다 그러므로
너희는 뱀 같이 지혜롭고 비둘기 같이 순결하라
10:16 See, I send you out as sheep among wolves. Be then as wise as snakes, and as gentle
as doves.
10:16 Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be all of
you therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.
10:17 사람들을 삼가라 저희가 너희를 공회에 넘겨 주겠고 저희 회당에서 채찍질하리라
10:17 But be on the watch against men: for they will give you up to the Sanhedrins, and
in their Synagogues they will give you blows;
10:17 But beware of men: for they will deliver you up to the councils, and
they will scourge you in their synagogues;
10:18 또 너희가 나를 인하여 총독들과 임금들 앞에 끌려가리니 이는 저희와 이방인들에게
증거가 되게 하려 하심이라
10:18 And you will come before rulers and kings because of me, for a witness to them and
to the Gentiles.
10:18 And all of you shall be brought before governors and kings for my sake,
for a testimony against them and the Gentiles.
10:19 너희를 넘겨 줄 때에 어떻게 또는 무엇을 말할까 염려치 말라 그때에 무슨
말할 것을 주시리니
10:19 But when you are given up into their hands, do not be troubled about what to say
or how to say it: for in that hour what you are to say will be given to you;
10:19 But when they deliver you up, take no thought how or what all of you
shall speak: for it shall be given you in that same hour what all of you shall
speak.
10:20 말하는 이는 너희가 아니라 너희 속에서 말씀하시는 자 곧 너희 아버지의
성령이시니라
10:20 Because it is not you who say the words, but the Spirit of your Father in you.
10:20 For it is not all of you that speak, but the Spirit (o. pneuma) of
your Father which speaks in you.
10:21 장차 형제가 형제를, 아비가 자식을 죽는 데 내어주며 자식들이 부모를
대적하여 죽게 하리라
10:21 And brother will give up brother to death, and the father his child: and children
will go against their fathers and mothers, and put them to death.
10:21 And the brother shall deliver up the brother to death, and the father
the child: and the children shall rise up against their parents, and cause them
to be put to death.
10:22 또 너희가 내 이름을 인하여 모든 사람에게 미움을 받을 것이나 나중까지
견디는 자는 구원을 얻으리라
10:22 And you will be hated by all men because of my name: but he who is strong to the
end will have salvation.
10:22 And all of you shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he
that endures to the end shall be saved.
10:23 이 동네에서 너희를 핍박하거든 저 동네로 피하라 내가 진실로 너희에게
이르노니 이스라엘의 모든 동네를 다 다니지 못하여서 인자가 오리라
10:23 But when they are cruel to you in one town, go in flight to another: for truly,
I say to you, You will not have gone through the towns of Israel before the Son
of man comes.
10:23 But when they persecute you in this city, flee all of you into another:
for verily I say unto you, All of you shall not have gone over the cities of
Israel, till the Son of man be come.
10:24 ○ 제자가 그 선생보다, 또는 종이 그 상전보다 높지 못하나니
10:24 A disciple is not greater than his master, or a servant than his lord.
10:24 The disciple is not above his master, nor the servant above his lord.
10:25 제자가 그 선생 같고 종이 그 상전 같으면 족하도다 집 주인을 바알세불이라
하였거든 하물며 그 집 사람들이랴
10:25 It is enough for the disciple that he may be as his master, and the servant as his
lord. If they have given the name Beelzebub to the master of the house, how much
more to those of his house!
10:25 It is enough for the disciple that he be as his master, and the servant
as his lord. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much
more shall they call them of his household?
10:26 그런즉 저희를 두려워하지 말라 감추인 것이 드러나지 않을 것이 없고 숨은
것이 알려지지 않을 것이 없느니라
10:26 Have, then, no fear of them: because nothing is covered which will not come to light,
or secret which will not be made clear.
10:26 Fear them not therefore: for there is nothing covered, that shall not
be revealed; and hid, that shall not be known.
10:27 내가 너희에게 어두운 데서 이르는 것을 광명한 데서 말하며 너희가 귓속으로
듣는 것을 집 위에서 전파하라
10:27 What I say to you in the dark, say in the light: and what comes to your ear secretly,
say publicly from the house-tops.
10:27 What I tell you in darkness, that speak all of you in light: and what
all of you hear in the ear, that preach all of you upon the housetops.
10:28 몸은 죽여도 영혼은 능히 죽이지 못하는 자들을 두려워하지 말고 오직 몸과
영혼을 능히 지옥에 멸하시는 자를 두려워하라
10:28 And have no fear of those who put to death the body, but are not able to put to
death the soul. But have fear of him who has power to give soul and body to destruction
in hell.
10:28 And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the
soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
10:29 참새 두 마리가 한 앗사리온에 팔리는 것이 아니냐 그러나 너희 아버지께서
허락지 아니하시면 그 하나라도 땅에 떨어지지 아니하리라
10:29 Are not sparrows two a farthing? and not one of them comes to an end without your
Father:
10:29 Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not
fall on the ground without your Father.
10:30 너희에게는 머리털까지 다 세신 바 되었나니
10:30 But the hairs of your head are all numbered.
10:30 But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.
10:31 두려워하지 말라 너희는 많은 참새보다 귀하니라
10:31 Then have no fear; you are of more value than a flock of sparrows.
10:31 Fear all of you not therefore, all of you are of more value than many
sparrows.
10:32 누구든지 사람 앞에서 나를 시인하면 나도 하늘에 계신 내 아버지 앞에서
저를 시인할 것이요
10:32 To everyone, then, who gives witness to me before men, I will give witness before
my Father in heaven.
10:32 Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess
also before my Father which is in heaven.
10:33 누구든지 사람 앞에서 나를 부인하면 나도 하늘에 계신 내 아버지 앞에서
저를 부인하리라
10:33 But if anyone says before men that he has no knowledge of me, I will say that I
have no knowledge of him before my Father in heaven.
10:33 But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before
my Father which is in heaven.
10:34 ○ 내가 세상에 화평을 주러 온 줄로 생각지 말라 화평이 아니요 검을 주러
왔노라
10:34 Do not have the thought that I have come to send peace on the earth; I came not
to send peace but a sword.
10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send
peace, but a sword.
10:35 내가 온 것은 사람이 그 아비와, 딸이 어미와, 며느리가 시어미와 불화하게
하려 함이니
10:35 For I have come to put a man against his father, and the daughter against her mother,
and the daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law:
10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the
daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
10:36 사람의 원수가 자기 집안 식구리라
10:36 And a man will be hated by those of his house.
10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.
10:37 아비나 어미를 나보다 더 사랑하는 자는 내게 합당치 아니하고 아들이나
딸을 나보다 더 사랑하는 자도 내게 합당치 아니하고
10:37 He who has more love for his father or mother than for me is not good enough for
me; he who has more love for son or daughter than for me is not good enough for
me.
10:37 He that loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and
he that loves son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.
10:38 또 자기 십자가를 지고 나를 좇지 않는 자도 내게 합당치 아니하니라
10:38 And he who does not take his cross and come after me is not good enough for me.
10:38 And he that takes not his cross, and follows after me, is not worthy
of me.
10:39 자기 목숨을 얻는 자는 잃을 것이요 나를 위하여 자기 목숨을 잃는 자는
얻으리라
10:39 He who has the desire to keep his life will have it taken from him, and he who gives
up his life because of me will have it given back to him.
10:39 He that finds his life shall lose it: and he that loses his life for
my sake shall find it.
10:40 ○ 너희를 영접하는 자는 나를 영접하는 것이요 나를 영접하는 자는 나
보내신 이를 영접하는 것이니라
10:40 He who gives honour to you gives honour to me; and he who gives honour to me gives
honour to him who sent me.
10:40 He that receives you receives me, and he that receives me receives
him that sent me.
10:41 선지자의 이름으로 선지자를 영접하는 자는 선지자의 상을 받을 것이요
의인의 이름으로 의인을 영접하는 자는 의인의 상을 받을 것이요
10:41 He who gives honour to a prophet, in the name of a prophet, will be given a prophet's
reward; and he who gives honour to an upright man, in the name of an upright man,
will be given an upright man's reward.
10:41 He that receives a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a
prophet's reward; and he that receives a righteous man in the name of a righteous
man shall receive a righteous man's reward.
10:42 또 누구든지 제자의 이름으로 이 소자 중 하나에게 냉수 한 그릇이라도
주는 자는 내가 진실로 너희에게 이르노니 그 사람이 결단코 상을 잃지 아니하리라
하시니라
10:42 And whoever gives to one of these little ones a cup of cold water only, in the name
of a disciple, truly I say to you, he will not go without his reward.
10:42 And whosoever shall give to drink unto one of these little ones a cup
of cold water only in the name of a disciple, verily I say unto you, he shall
in no wise lose his reward.
