1:1 The word of the Lord which came to Hosea, the son of Beeri, in the days of Uzziah,
Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah, and in the days of Jeroboam, the son
of Joash, king of Israel.

1:2 The start of the word of the Lord by Hosea: And the Lord said to Hosea, Go, take
for yourself a wife of loose ways, and children of the same, for the land has been
untrue to the Lord.
1:2 The beginning of the word of the LORD by Hosea. And the LORD said to
Hosea, Go, take unto you a wife of whoredoms and children of whoredoms: for
the land has committed great whoredom, departing from the LORD.

1:3 So he took as his wife Gomer, the daughter of Diblaim, and she gave birth to a son.
1:3 So he went and took Gomer the daughter of Diblaim; which conceived, and
bare him a son.

1:4 And the Lord said to him, Give him the name of Jezreel, for after a little time
I will send punishment for the blood of Jezreel on the line of Jehu, and put an
end to the kingdom of Israel.
1:4 And the LORD said unto him, Call his name Jezreel; for yet a little while,
and I will avenge the blood of Jezreel upon the house of Jehu, and will cause
to cease the kingdom of the house of Israel.

1:5 And in that day I will let the bow of Israel be broken in the valley of Jezreel.
1:5 And it shall come to pass at that day, that I will break the bow of Israel,
in the valley of Jezreel.

1:6 And after that she gave birth to a daughter. And the Lord said, Give her the name
Lo-ruhamah; for I will not again have mercy on Israel, to give them forgiveness.
1:6 And she conceived again, and bare a daughter. And God said unto him,
Call her name Loruhamah: for I will no more have mercy upon the house of Israel;
but I will utterly take them away.

1:7 But I will have mercy on Judah and will give them salvation by the Lord their God,
but not by the bow or the sword or by fighting or by horses or horsemen.
1:7 But I will have mercy upon the house of Judah, and will save them by
the LORD their God, and will not save them by bow, nor by sword, nor by battle,
by horses, nor by horsemen.

1:8 Now when Lo-ruhamah had been taken from the breast, the woman gave birth to a son.
1:8 Now when she had weaned Loruhamah, she conceived, and bare a son.

1:9 And the Lord said, Give him the name Lo-ammi; for you are not my people, and I will
not be your God.
1:9 Then said God, Call his name Loammi: for all of you are not my people,
and I will not be your God.

ÀúÈñ¿¡°Ô À̸£±â¸¦ ³ÊÈñ´Â »ç½Å Çϳª´ÔÀÇ ÀÚ³à¶ó ÇÒ °ÍÀ̶ó
1:10 But still the number of the children of Israel will be like the sand of the sea,
which may not be measured or numbered; and in place of its being said to them, You
are not my people, it will be said to them, You are the sons of the living God
1:10 Yet the number of the children of Israel shall be as the sand of the
sea, which cannot be measured nor numbered; and it shall come to pass, that
in the place where it was said unto them, All of you are not my people, there
it shall be said unto them, All of you are the sons of the living God.

1:11 And the children of Israel and the children of Judah will come together and take
for themselves one head, and will go up from the land, for great will be the day
of Jezreel.
1:11 Then shall the children of Judah and the children of Israel be gathered
together, and appoint themselves one head, and they shall come up out of the
land: for great shall be the day of Jezreel.
2:1 ³ÊÈñ ÇüÁ¦¿¡°Ô´Â ¾Ï¹Ì¶ó ÇÏ°í ³ÊÈñ Àڸſ¡°Ô´Â ·çÇϸ¶¶ó Ç϶ó
2:1 Say to your brothers, Ammi; and to your sisters, Ruhamah.
2:1 Say all of you unto your brethren, Ammi; and to your sisters, Ruhamah.
2:2 ¡Û ³ÊÈñ ¾î¹Ì¿Í Àï·ÐÇÏ°í Àï·ÐÇ϶ó Àú´Â ³» ¾Æ³»°¡ ¾Æ´Ï¿ä ³ª´Â ÀúÀÇ ³²ÆíÀÌ
¾Æ´Ï¶ó Àú·Î ±× ¾ó±¼¿¡¼ À½¶õÀ» Á¦ÇÏ°Ô ÇÏ°í ±× À¯¹æ »çÀÌ¿¡¼ À½ÇàÀ» Á¦ÇÏ°Ô Ç϶ó
2:2 Take up the cause against your mother, take it up, for she is not my wife, and I
am not her husband; let her put away her loose ways from her face, and her false
ways from between her breasts;
2:2 Plead with your mother, plead: for she is not my wife, neither am I her
husband: let her therefore put away her whoredoms out of her sight, and her
adulteries from between her breasts;

2:3 For fear that I may take away her robe from her, making her uncovered as in the
day of her birth; making her like a waste place and a dry land, causing her death
through need of water.
2:3 Lest I strip her naked, and set her as in the day that she was born,
and make her as a wilderness, and set her like a dry land, and slay her with
thirst.
2:4 ³»°¡ ±× Àڳฦ ±àÈáÈ÷ ¿©±âÁö ¾Æ´ÏÇϸ®´Ï ÀÌ´Â ÀúÈñ°¡ À½¶õÇÑ ÀڽĵéÀÓÀ̴϶ó
2:4 And I will have no mercy on her children, for they are the children of her loose
ways.
2:4 And I will not have mercy upon her children; for they be the children
of whoredoms.
2:5 ÀúÈñÀÇ ¾î¹Ì´Â ÇàÀ½ÇÏ¿´°í ÀúÈñ¸¦ ¹è¾ú´ø ÀÚ°¡ ºÎ²ô·¯¿î ÀÏÀ» ÇàÇÏ¿´³ª´Ï
´ëÀú Àú°¡ À̸£±â¸¦ ³ª´Â ³ª¸¦ ¿¬¾ÖÇÏ´Â ÀÚµéÀ» µû¸£¸®´Ï ÀúÈñ°¡ ³» ¶±°ú ³» ¹°°ú
³» ¾çÅаú ³» »ï°ú ³» ±â¸§°ú ³» ¼úµéÀ» ³»°Ô ÁØ´Ù ÇÏ¿´´À´Ï¶ó
2:5 For their mother has been untrue; she who gave them birth has done things of shame,
for she said, I will go after my lovers, who give me my bread and my water, my wool
and my linen, my oil and my wine.
2:5 For their mother has played the harlot: she that conceived them has done
shamefully: for she said, I will go after my lovers, that give me my bread and
my water, my wool and my flax, mine oil and my drink.
2:6 ±×·¯¹Ç·Î ³»°¡ °¡½Ã·Î ±× ±æÀ» ¸·À¸¸ç ´ãÀ» ½×¾Æ Àú·Î ±× ±æÀ» ãÁö ¸øÇÏ°Ô

2:6 For this cause I will put thorns in her road, building up a wall round her so that
she may not go on her way.
2:6 Therefore, behold, I will hedge up your way with thorns, and make a wall,
that she shall not find her paths.
2:7 Àú°¡ ±× ¿¬¾ÖÇÏ´Â ÀÚ¸¦ µû¶ó °¥Áö¶óµµ ¹ÌÄ¡Áö ¸øÇϸç ÀúÈñ¸¦ ãÀ»Áö¶óµµ ¸¸³ªÁö
¸øÇÒ °ÍÀ̶ó ±×Á¦¾ß Àú°¡ À̸£±â¸¦ ³»°¡ º» ³²Æí¿¡°Ô·Î µ¹¾Æ°¡¸®´Ï ±× ¶§ÀÇ ³» ÇüÆíÀÌ

2:7 And if she goes after her lovers she will not overtake them; if she makes search
for them she will not see them; then will she say, I will go back to my first husband,
for then it was better for me than now.
2:7 And she shall follow after her lovers, but she shall not overtake them;
and she shall seek them, but shall not find them: then shall she say, I will
go and return to my first husband; for then was it better with me than now.
2:8 ¡Û °î½Ä°ú »õ Æ÷µµÁÖ¿Í ±â¸§Àº ³»°¡ Àú¿¡°Ô ÁØ °ÍÀÌ¿ä ÀúÈñ°¡ ¹Ù¾ËÀ» À§ÇÏ¿©

2:8 For she had no knowledge that it was I who gave her the grain and the wine and the
oil, increasing her silver and gold which they gave to the Baal.
2:8 For she did not know that I gave her corn, and wine, and oil, and multiplied
her silver and gold, which they prepared for Baal.
2:9 ±×·¯¹Ç·Î ±× ½ÃÀý¿¡ ³»°¡ ³» °î½ÄÀ» µµ·Î ãÀ¸¸ç ±× ½Ã±â¿¡ ³»°¡ ³» »õ Æ÷µµÁÖ¸¦

2:9 So I will take away again my grain in its time and my wine, and I will take away
my wool and my linen with which her body might have been covered.
2:9 Therefore will I return, and take away my corn in the time thereof, and
my wine in the season thereof, and will recover my wool and my flax given to
cover her nakedness.

2:10 And now I will make her shame clear before the eyes of her lovers, and no one will
take her out of my hand.
2:10 And now will I discover her lewdness in the sight of her lovers, and
none shall deliver her out of mine hand.
2:11 ³»°¡ ±× ¸ðµç Èñ¶ô°ú Àý±â¿Í ¿ù»è°ú ¾È½ÄÀÏ°ú ¸ðµç ¸íÀýÀ» ÆóÇÏ°Ú°í
2:11 And I will put an end to all her joy, her feasts, her new moons, and her Sabbaths,
and all her regular meetings.
2:11 I will also cause all her delight to cease, her feast days, her new
moons, and her sabbaths, and all her solemn feasts.
2:12 Àú°¡ Àü¿¡ À̸£±â¸¦ ÀÌ°ÍÀº ³ª¸¦ ¿¬¾ÖÇÏ´Â ÀÚµéÀÌ ³»°Ô ÁØ °ªÀ̶ó ÇÏ´ø ±×
Æ÷µµ³ª¹«¿Í ¹«È°ú³ª¹«¸¦ °ÅÄ¥°Ô ÇÏ¿© ¼öÇ®ÀÌ µÇ°Ô ÇÏ¸ç µéÁü½Âµé·Î ¸Ô°Ô Çϸ®¶ó
2:12 And I will make waste her vines and her fig-trees, of which she has said, These
are the payments which my lovers have made to me; and I will make them a waste of
trees, and the beasts of the field will take them for food.
2:12 And I will destroy her vines and her fig trees, whereof she has said,
These are my rewards that my lovers have given me: and I will make them a forest,
and the beasts of the field shall eat them.
2:13 Àú°¡ ±Í°í¸®¿Í Æй°·Î Àå½ÄÇÏ°í ±× ¿¬¾ÖÇÏ´Â ÀÚ¸¦ µû¶ó°¡¼ ³ª¸¦ Àؾî¹ö¸®°í

2:13 And I will give her punishment for the days of the Baals, to whom she has been burning
perfumes, when she made herself fair with her nose-rings and her jewels, and went
after her lovers, giving no thought to me, says the Lord.
2:13 And I will visit upon her the days of Baalim, wherein she burned incense
to them, and she decked herself with her earrings and her jewels, and she went
after her lovers, and forgotten about me, says the LORD.
2:14 ¡Û ±×·¯¹Ç·Î ³»°¡ Àú¸¦ °³À¯ÇÏ¿© °ÅÄ£ µé·Î µ¥¸®°í °¡¼ ¸»·Î À§·ÎÇÏ°í
2:14 For this cause I will make her come into the waste land and will say words of comfort
to her.
2:14 Therefore, behold, I will allure her, and bring her into the wilderness,
and speak comfortably unto her.
2:15 °Å±â¼ ºñ·Î¼Ò ÀúÀÇ Æ÷µµ¿øÀ» Àú¿¡°Ô ÁÖ°í ¾Æ°ñ °ñÂ¥±â·Î ¼Ò¸ÁÀÇ ¹®À» »ï¾Æ
ÁÖ¸®´Ï Àú°¡ °Å±â¼ ÀÀ´ëÇϱ⸦ ¾î·ÈÀ» ¶§¿Í ¾Ö±Á ¶¥¿¡¼ ¿Ã¶ó¿À´ø ³¯°ú °°ÀÌ Çϸ®¶ó
2:15 And I will give her vine-gardens from there, and the valley of Achor for a door
of hope; and she will give her answer there as in the days when she was young, and
as in the time when she came up out of the land of Egypt.
2:15 And I will give her her vineyards from thence, and the valley of Achor
for a door of hope: and she shall sing there, as in the days of her youth, and
as in the day when she came up out of the land of Egypt.
2:16 ¿©È£¿Í²²¼ À̸£½ÃµÇ ±× ³¯¿¡ ³×°¡ ³ª¸¦ ³» ³²ÆíÀ̶ó ÀÏÄÂ°í ´Ù½Ã´Â ³» ¹Ù¾ËÀ̶ó

2:16 And in that day, says the Lord, you will say to me, Ishi; and you will never again
give me the name of Baali;
2:16 And it shall be at that day, says the LORD, that you shall call me Ishi;
and shall call me no more Baali.

2:17 For I will take away the names of the Baals out of her mouth, and never again will
she say their names.
2:17 For I will take away the names of Baalim out of her mouth, and they
shall no more be remembered by their name.
2:18 ±× ³¯¿¡´Â ³»°¡ ÀúÈñ¸¦ À§ÇÏ¿© µéÁü½Â°ú °øÁßÀÇ »õ¿Í ¶¥ÀÇ °ïÃæÀ¸·Î ´õºÒ¾î
¾ð¾àÀ» ¼¼¿ì¸ç ¶Ç ÀÌ ¶¥¿¡¼ È°°ú Ä®À» ²ª¾î ÀüÀïÀ» ¾øÀÌ ÇÏ°í ÀúÈñ·Î Æò¾ÈÈ÷ ´¯°Ô

2:18 And in that day I will make an agreement for them with the beasts of the field and
the birds of heaven and the things which go low on the earth; I will put an end
to the bow and the sword and war in all the land, and will make them take their
rest in peace.
2:18 And in that day will I make a covenant for them with the beasts of the
field and with the fowls of heaven, and with the creeping things of the ground:
and I will break the bow and the sword and the battle out of the earth, and
will make them to lie down safely.
2:19 ³»°¡ ³×°Ô Àå°¡ µé¾î ¿µ¿øÈ÷ »ìµÇ ÀÇ¿Í °øº¯µÊ°ú ÀºÃÑ°ú ±àÈáÈ÷ ¿©±èÀ¸·Î

2:19 And I will take you as my bride for ever; truly, I will take you as my bride in
righteousness and in right judging, in love and in mercies.
2:19 And I will betroth you unto me for ever; yea, I will betroth you unto
me in righteousness, and in judgment, and in loving kindness, and in mercies.
2:20 Áø½ÇÇÔÀ¸·Î ³×°Ô Àå°¡ µé¸®´Ï ³×°¡ ¿©È£¿Í¸¦ ¾Ë¸®¶ó
2:20 I will take you as my bride in good faith, and you will have knowledge of the Lord.
2:20 I will even betroth you unto me in faithfulness: and you shall know
the LORD.
2:21 ¡Û ¿©È£¿Í²²¼ °¡¶ó»ç´ë ±× ³¯¿¡ ³»°¡ ÀÀÇϸ®¶ó ³ª´Â Çϴÿ¡ ÀÀÇÏ°í ÇÏ´ÃÀº

2:21 And it will be, in that day, says the Lord, that I will give an answer to the heavens,
and the heavens to the earth;
2:21 And it shall come to pass in that day, I will hear, says the LORD, I
will hear the heavens, and they shall hear the earth;
2:22 ¶¥Àº °î½Ä°ú Æ÷µµÁÖ¿Í ±â¸§¿¡ ÀÀÇÏ°í ¶Ç À̰͵éÀº À̽º¸£¿¤¿¡ ÀÀÇϸ®¶ó
2:22 And the earth will give its answer to the grain and the wine and the oil, and they
will give an answer to Jezreel;
2:22 And the earth shall hear the corn, and the wine, and the oil; and they
shall hear Jezreel.

3:1 And the Lord said to me, Give your love again to a woman who has a lover and is
false to her husband, even as the Lord has love for the children of Israel, though
they are turned to other gods and are lovers of grape-cakes.

yet an adulteress, according to the love of the LORD toward the children of
Israel, who look to other gods, and love flagons of wine.

4:1 Give ear to the word of the Lord, O children of Israel; for the Lord has a cause
against the people of this land, because there is no good faith in it, and no mercy
and no knowledge of God in the land.
4:1 Hear the word of the LORD, all of you children of Israel: for the LORD
has a controversy with the inhabitants of the land, because there is no truth,
nor mercy, nor knowledge of God in the land.

4:2 There is cursing and broken faith, violent death and attacks on property, men are
untrue in married life, houses are broken into, and there is blood touching blood.
4:2 By swearing, and lying, and killing, and stealing, and committing adultery,
they break out, and blood touches blood.

4:3 Because of this the land will be dry, and everyone living in it will be wasted away,
with the beasts of the field and the birds of heaven; even the fishes of the sea
will be taken away.
4:3 Therefore shall the land mourn, and every one that dwells therein shall
languish, with the beasts of the field, and with the fowls of heaven; yea, the
fishes of the sea also shall be taken away.

4:6 Destruction has overtaken my people because they have no knowledge; because you
have given up knowledge, I will give you up, so that you will be no priest to me,
because you have not kept in mind the law of your God, I will not keep your children
in my memory.
4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because you have rejected
knowledge, I will also reject you, that you shall be no priest to me: seeing
you have forgotten the law of your God, I will also forget your children.

their glory be changed into shame.

4:8 The sin of my people is like food to them; and their desire is for their wrongdoing.

ways, and the reward of their acts.

spirit is the cause of their wandering, and they have been false to their God.
4:12 My people ask counsel at their stocks, and their staff declares unto
them: for the spirit of whoredoms has caused them to go astray, and they have
gone a whoring from under their God.

4:13 They make offerings on the tops of mountains, burning perfumes in high places, under
trees of every sort, because their shade is good: and so your daughters are given
up to loose ways and your brides are false to their husbands.
4:13 They sacrifice upon the tops of the mountains, and burn incense upon
the hills, under oaks and poplars and elms, because the shadow thereof is good:
therefore your daughters shall commit whoredom, and your spouses shall commit
adultery.

4:14 I will not give punishment to your daughters or your brides for their evil behaviour;
for they make themselves separate with loose women, and make offerings with those
who are used for sex purposes in the worship of the gods: the people who have no
wisdom will be sent away.
4:14 I will not punish your daughters when they commit whoredom, nor your
spouses when they commit adultery: for themselves are separated with whores,
and they sacrifice with harlots: therefore the people that does not understand
shall fall.

4:15 Though you, Israel, play the harlot, yet let not Judah offend; and come
not all of you unto Gilgal, neither go all of you up to Bethaven, nor swear,
The LORD lives.

6:1 Come, let us go back to the Lord; for he has given us wounds and he will make us
well; he has given blows and he will give help.

6:3 And let us have knowledge, let us go after the knowledge of the Lord; his going
out is certain as the dawn, his decisions go out like the light; he will come to
us like the rain, like the spring rain watering the earth.
6:3 Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the LORD: his going forth
is prepared as the morning; and he shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter
and former rain unto the earth.

7:1 When my desire was for the fate of my people to be changed and to make Israel well,
then the sin of Ephraim was made clear, and the evil-doing of Samaria; for their
ways are false, and the thief comes into the house, while the band of outlaws takes
property by force in the streets.
7:1 When I would have healed Israel, then the iniquity of Ephraim was discovered,
and the wickedness of Samaria: for they commit falsehood; and the thief comes
in, and the troop of robbers spoils without.

acts come round them on every side; they are before my face.

now their own doings have beset them about; they are before my face.

7:4 They are all untrue; they are like a burning oven; the bread-maker does not make
up the fire from the time when the paste is mixed till it is leavened.

raising after he has kneaded the dough, until it be leavened.

8:13 He gives the offerings of his lovers, and takes the flesh for food; but the Lord
has no pleasure in them; now he will keep in mind their evil-doing and give them
the punishment of their sins; they will go back to Egypt.
8:13 They sacrifice flesh for the sacrifices of mine offerings, and eat it;
but the LORD accepts them not; now will he remember their iniquity, and visit
their sins: they shall return to Egypt.

to your God; your desire has been for the loose woman's reward on every grain-floor.

whoring from your God, you have loved a reward upon floors of corn.

9:2 The grain-floor and the place where the grapes are crushed will not give them food;
there will be no new wine for them.

9:4 They will give no wine offering to the Lord, they will not make offerings ready
for him; their bread will be like the bread of those in sorrow; all who take it
will be unclean, because their bread will be only for their desire, it will not
come into the house of the Lord.
9:4 They shall not offer wine offerings to the LORD, neither shall they be
pleasing unto him: their sacrifices shall be unto them as the bread of mourners;
all that eat thereof shall be polluted: for their bread for their soul shall
not come into the house of the LORD.

will be their last resting-place; their fair silver vessels will be covered over
with field plants, and thorns will come up in their tents.
9:6 For, lo, they are gone because of destruction: Egypt shall gather them
up, Memphis shall bury them: the pleasant places for their silver, nettles shall
possess them: thorns shall be in their tabernacles.

9:7 The days of punishment, the days of reward are come; Israel will be put to shame;
the prophet is foolish, the man who has the spirit is off his head, because of your
great sin.
9:7 The days of visitation are come, the days of recompence are come; Israel
shall know it: the prophet is a fool, the spiritual man is mad, for the multitude
of yours iniquity, and the great hatred.

9:10 I made discovery of Israel as of grapes in the waste land; I saw your fathers as
the first-fruits of the fig-tree in her early fruit time; but they came to Baal-peor,
and made themselves holy to the thing of shame, and became disgusting like that
to which they gave their love.
9:10 I found Israel like grapes in the wilderness; I saw your fathers as

and separated themselves unto that shame; and their abominations were according

will have sorrow for it, and its priests will give cries of grief for its glory,
for the glory has gone in flight.

for the people thereof shall mourn over it, and the priests thereof that rejoiced
on it, for the glory thereof, because it is departed from it.

in the multitude of your mighty men.

10:14 So a great outcry will go up from among your people, and all your strong places
will be broken, as Beth-arbel was broken by Shalman in the day of war, as the mother
was broken on the rocks with her children.
10:14 Therefore shall a tumult arise among your people, and all your fortresses
shall be spoiled, as Shalman spoiled Betharbel in the day of battle: the mother
was dashed in pieces upon her children.

11:3 But I was guiding Ephraim's footsteps; I took them up in my arms, but they were

11:4 I made them come after me with the cords of a man, with the bands of love; I was
to them as one who took the yoke from off their mouths, putting meat before them.
11:4 I drew them with cords of a man, with bands of love: and I was to them
as they that take off the yoke on their jaws, and I laid food unto them.

11:8 How may I give you up, O Ephraim? how may I be your saviour, O Israel? how may I
make you like Admah? how may I do to you as I did to Zeboim? My heart is turned
in me, it is soft with pity.

11:9 I will not put into effect the heat of my wrath; I will not again send destruction
on Ephraim; for I am God and not man, the Holy One among you; I will not put an
end to you.
11:9 I will not execute the fierceness of mine anger, I will not return to
destroy Ephraim: for I am God, and not man; the Holy One in the midst of you:
and I will not enter into the city.

12:1 Ephraim's food is the wind, and he goes after the east wind: deceit and destruction
are increasing day by day; they make an agreement with Assyria, and take oil into
Egypt.
12:1 Ephraim feeds on wind, and follows after the east wind: he daily increases
lies and desolation; and they do make a covenant with the Assyrians, and oil
is carried into Egypt.

12:2 The Lord has a cause against Judah, and will give punishment to Jacob for his ways;
he will give him the reward of his acts.

bullocks in Gilgal; yea, their altars are as heaps in the furrows of the fields.

13:2 And now their sins are increased; they have made themselves a metal image, false
gods from their silver, after their designs, all of them the work of the metal-workers;
they say of them, Let them give offerings, let men give kisses to the oxen.
13:2 And now they sin more and more, and have made them molten images of
their silver, and idols according to their own understanding, all of it the
work of the craftsmen: they say of them, Let the men that sacrifice kiss the
calves.

the dust of the grain which the wind is driving out of the crushing-floor, like
smoke going up from the fireplace.
13:3 Therefore they shall be as the morning cloud and as the early dew that
passes away, as the chaff that is driven with the whirlwind out of the floor,
and as the smoke out of the chimney.

God and there is no saviour but me.
13:4 Yet I am the LORD your God from the land of Egypt, and you shall know
no god but me: for there is no saviour beside me.

who has no father.

14:9 He who is wise will see these things; he who has good sense will have knowledge
of them. For the ways of the Lord are straight, and the upright will go in them,
but sinners will be falling in them.
14:9 Who is wise, and he shall understand these things? prudent, and he shall
know them? for the ways of the LORD are right, and the just shall walk in them:
but the transgressors shall fall therein.
