1:1 웃시야와 요담과 아하스와 히스기야가 이어 유다 왕이 된 시대 곧 요아스의
아들 여로보암이 이스라엘 왕이 된 시대에 브에리의 아들 호세아에게 임한 여호와의
말씀이라
1:1 The word of the Lord which came to Hosea, the son of Beeri, in the days of Uzziah,
Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah, and in the days of Jeroboam, the son
of Joash, king of Israel.
1:1 The word of the LORD that came unto Hosea, the son of Beeri, in the days
of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah, and in the days of Jeroboam
the son of Joash, king of Israel.
1:2 ○ 여호와께서 비로소 호세아로 말씀하시니라 여호와께서 호세아에게 이르시되
너는 가서 음란한 아내를 취하여 음란한 자식들을 낳으라 이 나라가 여호와를 떠나
크게 행음함이니라
1:2 The start of the word of the Lord by Hosea: And the Lord said to Hosea, Go, take
for yourself a wife of loose ways, and children of the same, for the land has been
untrue to the Lord.
1:2 The beginning of the word of the LORD by Hosea. And the LORD said to
Hosea, Go, take unto you a wife of whoredoms and children of whoredoms: for
the land has committed great whoredom, departing from the LORD.
1:3 이에 저가 가서 디블라임의 딸 고멜을 취하였더니 저가 잉태하여 아들을 낳으매
1:3 So he took as his wife Gomer, the daughter of Diblaim, and she gave birth to a son.
1:3 So he went and took Gomer the daughter of Diblaim; which conceived, and
bare him a son.
1:4 여호와께서 호세아에게 이르시되 그 이름을 이스르엘이라 하라 조금 후에
내가 이스르엘의 피를 예후의 집에 갚으며 이스라엘 족속의 나라를 폐할 것임이니라
1:4 And the Lord said to him, Give him the name of Jezreel, for after a little time
I will send punishment for the blood of Jezreel on the line of Jehu, and put an
end to the kingdom of Israel.
1:4 And the LORD said unto him, Call his name Jezreel; for yet a little while,
and I will avenge the blood of Jezreel upon the house of Jehu, and will cause
to cease the kingdom of the house of Israel.
1:5 그 날에 내가 이스르엘 골짜기에서 이스라엘의 활을 꺾으리라 하시니라
1:5 And in that day I will let the bow of Israel be broken in the valley of Jezreel.
1:5 And it shall come to pass at that day, that I will break the bow of Israel,
in the valley of Jezreel.
1:6 고멜이 또 잉태하여 딸을 낳으매 여호와께서 호세아에게 이르시되 그 이름을
로루하마라 하라 내가 다시는 이스라엘 족속을 긍휼히 여겨서 사하지 않을 것임이니라
1:6 And after that she gave birth to a daughter. And the Lord said, Give her the name
Lo-ruhamah; for I will not again have mercy on Israel, to give them forgiveness.
1:6 And she conceived again, and bare a daughter. And God said unto him,
Call her name Loruhamah: for I will no more have mercy upon the house of Israel;
but I will utterly take them away.
1:7 그러나 내가 유다 족속을 긍휼히 여겨 저희 하나님 여호와로 구원하겠고 활과
칼이나 전쟁이나 말과 마병으로 구원하지 아니하리라 하시니라
1:7 But I will have mercy on Judah and will give them salvation by the Lord their God,
but not by the bow or the sword or by fighting or by horses or horsemen.
1:7 But I will have mercy upon the house of Judah, and will save them by
the LORD their God, and will not save them by bow, nor by sword, nor by battle,
by horses, nor by horsemen.
1:8 고멜이 로루하마를 젖뗀 후에 또 잉태하여 아들을 낳으매
1:8 Now when Lo-ruhamah had been taken from the breast, the woman gave birth to a son.
1:8 Now when she had weaned Loruhamah, she conceived, and bare a son.
1:9 여호와께서 이르시되 그 이름을 로암미라 하라 너희는 내 백성이 아니요 나는
너희 하나님이 되지 아니할 것임이니라
1:9 And the Lord said, Give him the name Lo-ammi; for you are not my people, and I will
not be your God.
1:9 Then said God, Call his name Loammi: for all of you are not my people,
and I will not be your God.
1:10 ○ 그러나 이스라엘 자손의 수가 바닷가의 모래 같이 되어서 측량할 수도
없고 셀 수도 없을 것이며 전에 저희에게 이르기를 너희는 내 백성이 아니라 한 그
곳에서
저희에게 이르기를 너희는 사신 하나님의 자녀라 할 것이라
1:10 But still the number of the children of Israel will be like the sand of the sea,
which may not be measured or numbered; and in place of its being said to them, You
are not my people, it will be said to them, You are the sons of the living God
1:10 Yet the number of the children of Israel shall be as the sand of the
sea, which cannot be measured nor numbered; and it shall come to pass, that
in the place where it was said unto them, All of you are not my people, there
it shall be said unto them, All of you are the sons of the living God.
1:11 이에 유다 자손과 이스라엘 자손이 함께 모여 한 두목을 세우고 그 땅에서부터
올라오리니 이스르엘의 날이 클 것임이로다
1:11 And the children of Israel and the children of Judah will come together and take
for themselves one head, and will go up from the land, for great will be the day
of Jezreel.
1:11 Then shall the children of Judah and the children of Israel be gathered
together, and appoint themselves one head, and they shall come up out of the
land: for great shall be the day of Jezreel.
2:1 너희 형제에게는 암미라 하고 너희 자매에게는 루하마라 하라
2:1 Say to your brothers, Ammi; and to your sisters, Ruhamah.
2:1 Say all of you unto your brethren, Ammi; and to your sisters, Ruhamah.
2:2 ○ 너희 어미와 쟁론하고 쟁론하라 저는 내 아내가 아니요 나는 저의 남편이
아니라 저로 그 얼굴에서 음란을 제하게 하고 그 유방 사이에서 음행을 제하게 하라
2:2 Take up the cause against your mother, take it up, for she is not my wife, and I
am not her husband; let her put away her loose ways from her face, and her false
ways from between her breasts;
2:2 Plead with your mother, plead: for she is not my wife, neither am I her
husband: let her therefore put away her whoredoms out of her sight, and her
adulteries from between her breasts;
2:3 그렇지 아니하면 내가 저를 벌거벗겨서 그 나던 날과 같게 할 것이요 저로
광야 같이 되게 하며 마른 땅 같이 되게 하여 목말라 죽게 할 것이며
2:3 For fear that I may take away her robe from her, making her uncovered as in the
day of her birth; making her like a waste place and a dry land, causing her death
through need of water.
2:3 Lest I strip her naked, and set her as in the day that she was born,
and make her as a wilderness, and set her like a dry land, and slay her with
thirst.
2:4 내가 그 자녀를 긍휼히 여기지 아니하리니 이는 저희가 음란한 자식들임이니라
2:4 And I will have no mercy on her children, for they are the children of her loose
ways.
2:4 And I will not have mercy upon her children; for they be the children
of whoredoms.
2:5 저희의 어미는 행음하였고 저희를 배었던 자가 부끄러운 일을 행하였나니
대저 저가 이르기를 나는 나를 연애하는 자들을 따르리니 저희가 내 떡과 내 물과
내 양털과 내 삼과 내 기름과 내 술들을 내게 준다 하였느니라
2:5 For their mother has been untrue; she who gave them birth has done things of shame,
for she said, I will go after my lovers, who give me my bread and my water, my wool
and my linen, my oil and my wine.
2:5 For their mother has played the harlot: she that conceived them has done
shamefully: for she said, I will go after my lovers, that give me my bread and
my water, my wool and my flax, mine oil and my drink.
2:6 그러므로 내가 가시로 그 길을 막으며 담을 쌓아 저로 그 길을 찾지 못하게
하리니
2:6 For this cause I will put thorns in her road, building up a wall round her so that
she may not go on her way.
2:6 Therefore, behold, I will hedge up your way with thorns, and make a wall,
that she shall not find her paths.
2:7 저가 그 연애하는 자를 따라 갈지라도 미치지 못하며 저희를 찾을지라도 만나지
못할 것이라 그제야 저가 이르기를 내가 본 남편에게로 돌아가리니 그 때의 내 형편이
지금보다 나았음이라 하리라
2:7 And if she goes after her lovers she will not overtake them; if she makes search
for them she will not see them; then will she say, I will go back to my first husband,
for then it was better for me than now.
2:7 And she shall follow after her lovers, but she shall not overtake them;
and she shall seek them, but shall not find them: then shall she say, I will
go and return to my first husband; for then was it better with me than now.
2:8 ○ 곡식과 새 포도주와 기름은 내가 저에게 준 것이요 저희가 바알을 위하여
쓴 은과 금도 내가 저에게 더하여 준 것이어늘 저가 알지 못하도다
2:8 For she had no knowledge that it was I who gave her the grain and the wine and the
oil, increasing her silver and gold which they gave to the Baal.
2:8 For she did not know that I gave her corn, and wine, and oil, and multiplied
her silver and gold, which they prepared for Baal.
2:9 그러므로 그 시절에 내가 내 곡식을 도로 찾으며 그 시기에 내가 내 새 포도주를
도로 찾으며 또 저희 벌거벗은 몸을 가리울 내 양털과 내 삼을 빼앗으리라
2:9 So I will take away again my grain in its time and my wine, and I will take away
my wool and my linen with which her body might have been covered.
2:9 Therefore will I return, and take away my corn in the time thereof, and
my wine in the season thereof, and will recover my wool and my flax given to
cover her nakedness.
2:10 이제 내가 그 수치를 그 연애하는 자의 눈 앞에 드러내리니 저를 내 손에서
건져낼 사람이 없으리라
2:10 And now I will make her shame clear before the eyes of her lovers, and no one will
take her out of my hand.
2:10 And now will I discover her lewdness in the sight of her lovers, and
none shall deliver her out of mine hand.
2:11 내가 그 모든 희락과 절기와 월삭과 안식일과 모든 명절을 폐하겠고
2:11 And I will put an end to all her joy, her feasts, her new moons, and her Sabbaths,
and all her regular meetings.
2:11 I will also cause all her delight to cease, her feast days, her new
moons, and her sabbaths, and all her solemn feasts.
2:12 저가 전에 이르기를 이것은 나를 연애하는 자들이 내게 준 값이라 하던 그
포도나무와 무화과나무를 거칠게 하여 수풀이 되게 하며 들짐승들로 먹게 하리라
2:12 And I will make waste her vines and her fig-trees, of which she has said, These
are the payments which my lovers have made to me; and I will make them a waste of
trees, and the beasts of the field will take them for food.
2:12 And I will destroy her vines and her fig trees, whereof she has said,
These are my rewards that my lovers have given me: and I will make them a forest,
and the beasts of the field shall eat them.
2:13 저가 귀고리와 패물로 장식하고 그 연애하는 자를 따라가서 나를 잊어버리고
향을 살라 바알들을 섬긴 시일을 따라 내가 저에게 벌을 주리라 나 여호와의 말이니라
2:13 And I will give her punishment for the days of the Baals, to whom she has been burning
perfumes, when she made herself fair with her nose-rings and her jewels, and went
after her lovers, giving no thought to me, says the Lord.
2:13 And I will visit upon her the days of Baalim, wherein she burned incense
to them, and she decked herself with her earrings and her jewels, and she went
after her lovers, and forgotten about me, says the LORD.
2:14 ○ 그러므로 내가 저를 개유하여 거친 들로 데리고 가서 말로 위로하고
2:14 For this cause I will make her come into the waste land and will say words of comfort
to her.
2:14 Therefore, behold, I will allure her, and bring her into the wilderness,
and speak comfortably unto her.
2:15 거기서 비로소 저의 포도원을 저에게 주고 아골 골짜기로 소망의 문을 삼아
주리니 저가 거기서 응대하기를 어렸을 때와 애굽 땅에서 올라오던 날과 같이 하리라
2:15 And I will give her vine-gardens from there, and the valley of Achor for a door
of hope; and she will give her answer there as in the days when she was young, and
as in the time when she came up out of the land of Egypt.
2:15 And I will give her her vineyards from thence, and the valley of Achor
for a door of hope: and she shall sing there, as in the days of her youth, and
as in the day when she came up out of the land of Egypt.
2:16 여호와께서 이르시되 그 날에 네가 나를 내 남편이라 일컫고 다시는 내 바알이라
일컫지 아니하리라
2:16 And in that day, says the Lord, you will say to me, Ishi; and you will never again
give me the name of Baali;
2:16 And it shall be at that day, says the LORD, that you shall call me Ishi;
and shall call me no more Baali.
2:17 내가 바알들의 이름을 저의 입에서 제하여 다시는 그 이름을 기억하여 일컬음이
없게 하리라
2:17 For I will take away the names of the Baals out of her mouth, and never again will
she say their names.
2:17 For I will take away the names of Baalim out of her mouth, and they
shall no more be remembered by their name.
2:18 그 날에는 내가 저희를 위하여 들짐승과 공중의 새와 땅의 곤충으로 더불어
언약을 세우며 또 이 땅에서 활과 칼을 꺾어 전쟁을 없이 하고 저희로 평안히 눕게
하리라
2:18 And in that day I will make an agreement for them with the beasts of the field and
the birds of heaven and the things which go low on the earth; I will put an end
to the bow and the sword and war in all the land, and will make them take their
rest in peace.
2:18 And in that day will I make a covenant for them with the beasts of the
field and with the fowls of heaven, and with the creeping things of the ground:
and I will break the bow and the sword and the battle out of the earth, and
will make them to lie down safely.
2:19 내가 네게 장가 들어 영원히 살되 의와 공변됨과 은총과 긍휼히 여김으로
네게 장가 들며
2:19 And I will take you as my bride for ever; truly, I will take you as my bride in
righteousness and in right judging, in love and in mercies.
2:19 And I will betroth you unto me for ever; yea, I will betroth you unto
me in righteousness, and in judgment, and in loving kindness, and in mercies.
2:20 진실함으로 네게 장가 들리니 네가 여호와를 알리라
2:20 I will take you as my bride in good faith, and you will have knowledge of the Lord.
2:20 I will even betroth you unto me in faithfulness: and you shall know
the LORD.
2:21 ○ 여호와께서 가라사대 그 날에 내가 응하리라 나는 하늘에 응하고 하늘은
땅에 응하고
2:21 And it will be, in that day, says the Lord, that I will give an answer to the heavens,
and the heavens to the earth;
2:21 And it shall come to pass in that day, I will hear, says the LORD, I
will hear the heavens, and they shall hear the earth;
2:22 땅은 곡식과 포도주와 기름에 응하고 또 이것들은 이스르엘에 응하리라
2:22 And the earth will give its answer to the grain and the wine and the oil, and they
will give an answer to Jezreel;
2:22 And the earth shall hear the corn, and the wine, and the oil; and they
shall hear Jezreel.
2:23 내가 나를 위하여 저를 이 땅에 심고 긍휼히 여김을 받지 못하였던 자를 긍휼히
여기며 내 백성 아니었던 자에게 향하여 이르기를 너는 내 백성이라 하리니 저희는
이르기를 주는 내 하나님이시라 하리라
2:23 And I will put her as seed in the earth, and I will have mercy on her to whom no
mercy was given; and I will say to those who were not my people, You are my people,
and they will say, My God.
2:23 And I will sow her unto me in the earth; and I will have mercy upon
her that had not obtained mercy; and I will say to them which were not my people,
You are my people; and they shall say, You are my God.
3:1 여호와께서 내게 이르시되 이스라엘 자손이 다른 신을 섬기고 건포도 떡을
즐길지라도 여호와가 저희를 사랑하나니 너는 또 가서 타인에게 연애를 받아 음부
된
그 여인을 사랑하라 하시기로
3:1 And the Lord said to me, Give your love again to a woman who has a lover and is
false to her husband, even as the Lord has love for the children of Israel, though
they are turned to other gods and are lovers of grape-cakes.
3:1 Then said the LORD unto me, Go yet, love a woman beloved of her friend,
yet an adulteress, according to the love of the LORD toward the children of
Israel, who look to other gods, and love flagons of wine.
3:2 내가 은 열 다섯 개와 보리 한 호멜 반으로 나를 위하여 저를 사고
3:2 So I got her for myself for fifteen shekels of silver and a homer and a half of
barley;
3:2 So I bought her to me for fifteen pieces of silver, and for an homer
of barley, and an half homer of barley:
3:3 저에게 이르기를 너는 많은 날 동안 나와 함께 지내고 행음하지 말며 다른
남자를 좇지 말라 나도 네게 그리하리라 하였노라
3:3 And I said to her, You are to be mine for a long space of time; you are not to be
false to me, and no other man is to have you for his wife; and so will I be to you.
3:3 And I said unto her, You shall abide for me many days; you shall not
play the harlot, and you shall not be for another man: so will I also be for
you.
3:4 이스라엘 자손들이 많은 날 동안 왕도 없고 군도 없고 제사도 없고 주상도
없고 에봇도 없고 드라빔도 없이 지내다가
3:4 For the children of Israel will for a long time be without king and without ruler,
without offerings and without pillars, and without ephod or images.
3:4 For the children of Israel shall abide many days without a king, and
without a prince, and without a sacrifice, and without an image, and without
an ephod, and without teraphim:
3:5 그 후에 저희가 돌아와서 그 하나님 여호와와 그 왕 다윗을 구하고 말일에는
경외하므로 여호와께로 와 그 은총으로 나아가리라
3:5 And after that, the children of Israel will come back and go in search of the Lord
their God and David their king; and they will come in fear to the Lord and to his
mercies in the days to come.
3:5 Afterward shall the children of Israel return, and seek the LORD their
God, and David their king; and shall fear the LORD and his goodness in the latter
days.
4:1 이스라엘 자손들아 여호와의 말씀을 들으라 여호와께서 이 땅 거민과 쟁변하시나니
이 땅에는 진실도 없고 인애도 없고 하나님을 아는 지식도 없고
4:1 Give ear to the word of the Lord, O children of Israel; for the Lord has a cause
against the people of this land, because there is no good faith in it, and no mercy
and no knowledge of God in the land.
4:1 Hear the word of the LORD, all of you children of Israel: for the LORD
has a controversy with the inhabitants of the land, because there is no truth,
nor mercy, nor knowledge of God in the land.
4:2 오직 저주와 사위와 살인과 투절과 간음 뿐이요 강포하여 피가 피를 뒤대임이라
4:2 There is cursing and broken faith, violent death and attacks on property, men are
untrue in married life, houses are broken into, and there is blood touching blood.
4:2 By swearing, and lying, and killing, and stealing, and committing adultery,
they break out, and blood touches blood.
4:3 그러므로 이 땅이 슬퍼하며 무릇 거기 거하는 자와 들짐승과 공중에 나는
새가 다 쇠잔할 것이요 바다의 고기도 없어지리라
4:3 Because of this the land will be dry, and everyone living in it will be wasted away,
with the beasts of the field and the birds of heaven; even the fishes of the sea
will be taken away.
4:3 Therefore shall the land mourn, and every one that dwells therein shall
languish, with the beasts of the field, and with the fowls of heaven; yea, the
fishes of the sea also shall be taken away.
4:4 그러나 아무 사람이든지 다투지도 말며 책망하지도 말라 네 백성들이 제사장과
다투는 자 같이 되었음이니라
4:4 Let no man go to law or make protests, for your people are like those who go to
law with a priest.
4:4 Yet let no man strive, nor reprove another: for your people are as they
that strive with the priest.
4:5 너는 낮에 거치겠고 너와 함께 있는 선지자는 밤에 거치리라 내가 네 어미를
멸하리라
4:5 You will not be able to keep on your feet by day, and by night the prophet will
be falling down with you, and I will give your mother to destruction.
4:5 Therefore shall you fall in the day, and the prophet also shall fall
with you in the night, and I will destroy your mother.
4:6 ○ 내 백성이 지식이 없으므로 망하는도다 네가 지식을 버렸으니 나도 너를
버려 내 제사장이 되지 못하게 할 것이요 네가 네 하나님의 율법을 잊었으니 나도
네 자녀들을 잊어 버리리라
4:6 Destruction has overtaken my people because they have no knowledge; because you
have given up knowledge, I will give you up, so that you will be no priest to me,
because you have not kept in mind the law of your God, I will not keep your children
in my memory.
4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because you have rejected
knowledge, I will also reject you, that you shall be no priest to me: seeing
you have forgotten the law of your God, I will also forget your children.
4:7 저희는 번성할수록 내게 범죄하니 내가 저희의 영화를 변하여 욕이 되게 하리라
4:7 Even while they were increasing in number they were sinning against me; I will let
their glory be changed into shame.
4:7 As they were increased, so they sinned against me: therefore will I change
their glory into shame.
4:8 저희가 내 백성의 속죄 제물을 먹고 그 마음을 저희의 죄악에 두는도다
4:8 The sin of my people is like food to them; and their desire is for their wrongdoing.
4:8 They eat up the sin of my people, and they set their heart on their iniquity.
4:9 장차는 백성이나 제사장이나 일반이라 내가 그 소행대로 벌하며 그 소위대로
갚으리라
4:9 And the priest will be like the people; I will give them punishment for their evil
ways, and the reward of their acts.
4:9 And there shall be, like people, like priest: and I will punish them
for their ways, and reward them their doings.
4:10 저희가 먹어도 배부르지 아니하며 행음하여도 수효가 더하지 못하니 이는
여호와 좇기를 그쳤음이니라
4:10 They will have food, but they will not be full; they will be false to me, but they
will not be increased, because they no longer give thought to the Lord.
4:10 For they shall eat, and not have enough: they shall commit whoredom,
and shall not increase: because they have left off to take heed to the LORD.
4:11 ○ 음행과 묵은 포도주와 새 포도주가 마음을 빼앗느니라
4:11 Loose ways and new wine take away wisdom.
4:11 Whoredom and wine and new wine take away the heart.
4:12 내 백성이 나무를 향하여 묻고 그 막대기는 저희에게 고하나니 이는 저희가
음란한 마음에 미혹되어 그 하나님의 수하를 음란하듯 떠났음이니라
4:12 My people get knowledge from their tree, and their rod gives them news; for a false
spirit is the cause of their wandering, and they have been false to their God.
4:12 My people ask counsel at their stocks, and their staff declares unto
them: for the spirit of whoredoms has caused them to go astray, and they have
gone a whoring from under their God.
4:13 저희가 산 꼭대기에서 제사를 드리며 작은 산 위에서 분향하되 참나무와
버드나무와 상수리나무 아래서 하니 이는 그 나무 그늘이 아름다움이라 이러므로
너희 딸들이 행음하며 너희 며느리들이 간음을 행하는도다
4:13 They make offerings on the tops of mountains, burning perfumes in high places, under
trees of every sort, because their shade is good: and so your daughters are given
up to loose ways and your brides are false to their husbands.
4:13 They sacrifice upon the tops of the mountains, and burn incense upon
the hills, under oaks and poplars and elms, because the shadow thereof is good:
therefore your daughters shall commit whoredom, and your spouses shall commit
adultery.
4:14 너희 딸들이 행음하며 너희 며느리들이 간음하여도 내가 벌하지 아니하리니
이는 남자들도 창기와 함께 나가며 음부와 함께 희생을 드림이니라 깨닫지 못하는
백성은 패망하리라
4:14 I will not give punishment to your daughters or your brides for their evil behaviour;
for they make themselves separate with loose women, and make offerings with those
who are used for sex purposes in the worship of the gods: the people who have no
wisdom will be sent away.
4:14 I will not punish your daughters when they commit whoredom, nor your
spouses when they commit adultery: for themselves are separated with whores,
and they sacrifice with harlots: therefore the people that does not understand
shall fall.
4:15 ○ 이스라엘아 너는 행음하여도 유다는 죄를 범치 말아야 할 것이라 너희는
길갈로 가지 말며 벧아웬으로 올라가지 말며 여호와의 사심을 가리켜 맹세하지 말지어다
4:15 Do not you, O Israel, come into error; do not you, O Judah, come to Gilgal, or go
up to Beth-aven, or take an oath, By the living Lord.
4:15 Though you, Israel, play the harlot, yet let not Judah offend; and come
not all of you unto Gilgal, neither go all of you up to Bethaven, nor swear,
The LORD lives.
4:16 이스라엘은 완강한 암소처럼 완강하니 이제 여호와께서 어린 양을 넓은 들에서
먹임 같이 저희를 먹이시겠느냐
4:16 For Israel is uncontrolled, like a cow which may not be controlled; now will the
Lord give them food like a lamb in a wide place.
4:16 For Israel slides back as a backsliding heifer: now the LORD will feed
them as a lamb in a large place.
4:17 에브라임이 우상과 연합하였으니 버려두라
4:17 Ephraim is joined to false gods; let him be.
4:17 Ephraim is joined to idols: let him alone.
4:18 저희가 마시기를 다 하고는 행음하기를 마지 아니하며 그 방백들은 수치를
기뻐하느니라
4:18 Their drink has become bitter; they are completely false; her rulers take pleasure
in shame.
4:18 Their drink is sour: they have committed whoredom continually: her rulers
with shame do love, Give all of you.
4:19 바람이 그 날개로 저를 쌌나니 저희가 그 제물로 인하여 수치를 당하리라
4:19 They are folded in the skirts of the wind; they will be shamed because of their
offerings.
4:19 The wind has bound her up in her wings, and they shall be ashamed because
of their sacrifices.
5:1 제사장들아 이를 들으라 이스라엘 족속들아 깨달으라 왕족들아 귀를 기울이라
너희에게 심판이 있나니 너희가 미스바에서 올무가 되며 다볼 위에서 친 그물이 됨이라
5:1 Give ear to this, O priests; give attention, O Israel, and you, family of the king;
for you are to be judged; you have been a deceit at Mizpah and a net stretched out
on Tabor.
5:1 Hear all of you this, O priests; and hearken, all of you house of Israel;
and give all of you ear, O house of the king; for judgment is toward you, because
all of you have been a snare on Mizpah, and a net spread upon Tabor.
5:2 패역자가 살륙죄에 깊이 빠졌으매 내가 저희를 다 징책하노라
5:2 They have gone deep in the evil ways of Shittim, but I am the judge of all.
5:2 And the apostates are profound to make slaughter, though I have been
a rebuker of them all.
5:3 에브라임은 내가 알고 이스라엘은 내게 숨기지 못하나니 에브라임아 이제
네가 행음하였고 이스라엘이 이미 더러웠느니라
5:3 I have knowledge of Ephraim, and Israel is not secret from me; for now, O Ephraim,
you have been false to me, Israel has become unclean.
5:3 I know Ephraim, and Israel is not hid from me: for now, O Ephraim, you
commit whoredom, and Israel is defiled.
5:4 저희의 행위가 저희로 자기 하나님에게 돌아가지 못하게 하나니 이는 음란한
마음이 그 속에 있어 여호와를 알지 못하는 까닭이라
5:4 Their works will not let them come back to their God, for a false spirit is in them
and they have no knowledge of the Lord.
5:4 They will not frame their doings to turn unto their God: for the spirit
of whoredoms is in the midst of them, and they have not known the LORD.
5:5 이스라엘의 교만이 그 얼굴에 증거가 되나니 그 죄악을 인하여 이스라엘과
에브라임이 넘어지고 유다도 저희와 한가지로 넘어지리라
5:5 And the pride of Israel gives an answer to his face; and Ephraim will have a fall
through his sins, and the fall of Judah will be the same as theirs.
5:5 And the pride of Israel does testify to his face: therefore shall Israel
and Ephraim fall in their iniquity: Judah also shall fall with them.
5:6 저희가 양 떼와 소 떼를 끌고 여호와를 찾으러 갈지라도 만나지 못할 것은 이미
저희에게서 떠나셨음이라
5:6 They will go, with their flocks and their herds, in search of the Lord, but they
will not see him; he has taken himself out of their view.
5:6 They shall go with their flocks and with their herds to seek the LORD;
but they shall not find him; he has withdrawn himself from them.
5:7 저희가 여호와께 정조를 지키지 아니하고 사생자를 낳았으니 그러므로 새
달이 저희와 그 기업을 함께 삼키리로다
5:7 They have been false to the Lord; they have given birth to strange children; now
the new moon will make them waste with their fields.
5:7 They have dealt treacherously against the LORD: for they have begotten
strange children: now shall a month devour them with their portions.
5:8 ○ 너희가 기브아에서 나팔을 불며 라마에서 호각을 불며 벧아웬에서 깨우쳐
소리하기를 베냐민아 네 뒤를 쫓는다 할지어다
5:8 Let the horn be sounded in Gibeah and in Ramah; give a loud cry in Beth-aven, They
are after you, O Benjamin.
5:8 Blow all of you the cornet in Gibeah, and the trumpet in Ramah: cry aloud
at Bethaven, after you, O Benjamin.
5:9 견책하는 날에 에브라임이 황무할 것이라 내가 이스라엘 지파 중에 필연 있을
일을 보였노라
5:9 Ephraim will become a waste in the day of punishment; I have given knowledge among
the tribes of Israel of what is certain.
5:9 Ephraim shall be desolate in the day of rebuke: among the tribes of Israel
have I made known that which shall surely be.
5:10 유다 방백들은 지계표를 옮기는 자 같으니 내가 나의 진노를 저희에게 물 같이
부으리라
5:10 The rulers of Judah are like those who take away a landmark; I will let loose my
wrath on them like flowing water.
5:10 The princes of Judah were like them that remove the bound: therefore
I will pour out my wrath upon them like water.
5:11 에브라임은 사람의 명령 좇기를 좋아하므로 학대를 받고 재판의 압제를 당하는도다
5:11 Ephraim is troubled; he is crushed by his judges, because he took pleasure in walking
after deceit.
5:11 Ephraim is oppressed and broken in judgment, because he willingly walked
after the commandment.
5:12 그러므로 내가 에브라임에게는 좀 같으며 유다 족속에게는 썩이는 것 같도다
5:12 And so to Ephraim I am like a wasting insect, and a destruction to the children
of Judah.
5:12 Therefore will I be unto Ephraim as a moth, and to the house of Judah
as rottenness.
5:13 에브라임이 자기의 병을 깨달으며 유다가 자기의 상처를 깨달았고 에브라임은
앗수르로 가서 야렙 왕에게 사람을 보내었으나 저가 능히 너희를 고치지 못하겠고
너희 상처를 낫게 하지 못하리라
5:13 When Ephraim saw his disease and Judah his wound, then Ephraim went to Assyria and
sent to the great king; but he is not able to make you well or give you help for
your wound.
5:13 When Ephraim saw his sickness, and Judah saw his wound, then went Ephraim
to the Assyrian, and sent to king Jareb: yet could he not heal you, nor cure
you of your wound.
5:14 내가 에브라임에게는 사자 같고 유다 족속에게는 젊은 사자 같으니 나 곧
내가 움켜갈지라 내가 탈취하여 갈지라도 건져낼 자가 없으리라
5:14 For I will be to Ephraim as a lion, and as a young lion to the children of Judah;
I, even I, will give him wounds and go away; I will take him away, and there will
be no helper.
5:14 For I will be unto Ephraim as a lion, and as a young lion to the house
of Judah: I, even I, will tear and go away; I will take away, and none shall
rescue him.
5:15 내가 내 곳으로 돌아가서 저희가 그 죄를 뉘우치고 내 얼굴을 구하기까지
기다리리라 저희가 고난을 받을 때에 나를 간절히 구하여 이르기를
5:15 I will go back to my place till they are made waste; in their trouble they will
go after me early and will make search for me.
5:15 I will go and return to my place, till they acknowledge their offence,
and seek my face: in their affliction they will seek me early.
6:1 오라 우리가 여호와께로 돌아가자 여호와께서 우리를 찢으셨으나 도로 낫게
하실 것이요 우리를 치셨으나 싸매어 주실 것임이라
6:1 Come, let us go back to the Lord; for he has given us wounds and he will make us
well; he has given blows and he will give help.
6:1 Come, and let us return unto the LORD: for he has torn, and he will heal
us; he has smitten, and he will bind us up.
6:2 여호와께서 이틀 후에 우리를 살리시며 제 삼 일에 우리를 일으키시리니 우리가
그 앞에서 살리라
6:2 After two days he will give us life, and on the third day he will make us get up,
and we will be living before him.
6:2 After two days will he revive us: in the third day he will raise us up,
and we shall live in his sight.
6:3 그러므로 우리가 여호와를 알자 힘써 여호와를 알자 그의 나오심은 새벽 빛 같이
일정하니 비와 같이, 땅을 적시는 늦은 비와 같이 우리에게 임하시리라 하리라
6:3 And let us have knowledge, let us go after the knowledge of the Lord; his going
out is certain as the dawn, his decisions go out like the light; he will come to
us like the rain, like the spring rain watering the earth.
6:3 Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the LORD: his going forth
is prepared as the morning; and he shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter
and former rain unto the earth.
6:4 ○ 에브라임아 내가 네게 어떻게 하랴 유다야 내가 네게 어떻게 하랴 너희의
인애가 아침 구름이나 쉬 없어지는 이슬 같도다
6:4 O Ephraim, what am I to do to you? O Judah, what am I to do to you? For your love
is like a morning cloud, and like the dew which goes early away.
6:4 O Ephraim, what shall I do unto you? O Judah, what shall I do unto you?
for your goodness is as a morning cloud, and as the early dew it goes away.
6:5 그러므로 내가 선지자들로 저희를 치고 내 입의 말로 저희를 죽였노니 내
심판은 발하는 빛과 같으니라
6:5 So I have had it cut in stones; I gave them teaching by the words of my mouth;
6:5 Therefore have I hewed them by the prophets; I have slain them by the
words of my mouth: and your judgments are as the light that goes forth.
6:6 나는 인애를 원하고 제사를 원치 아니하며 번제보다 하나님을 아는 것을 원하노라
6:6 Because my desire is for mercy and not offerings; for the knowledge of God more
than for burned offerings.
6:6 For I desired mercy, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more
than burnt offerings.
6:7 저희는 아담처럼 언약을 어기고 거기서 내게 패역을 행하였느니라
6:7 But like a man, they have gone against the agreement; there they were false to me.
6:7 But they like men have transgressed the covenant: there have they dealt
treacherously against me.
6:8 길르앗은 행악자의 고을이라 핏발자취가 편만하도다
6:8 Gilead is a town of evil-doers, marked with blood.
6:8 Gilead is a city of them that work iniquity, and is polluted with blood.
6:9 강도 떼가 사람을 기다림 같이 제사장의 무리가 세겜 길에서 살인하니 저희가
사악을 행하였느니라
6:9 And like a band of thieves waiting for a man, so are the priests watching secretly
the way of those going quickly to Shechem, for they are working with an evil design.
6:9 And as troops of robbers wait for a man, so the company of priests murder
in the way by consent: for they commit lewdness.
6:10 내가 이스라엘 집에서 가증한 일을 보았나니 거기서 에브라임은 행음하였고
이스라엘은 더럽혔느니라
6:10 In Israel I have seen a very evil thing; there false ways are seen in Ephraim, Israel
is unclean;
6:10 I have seen an horrible thing in the house of Israel: there is the whoredom
of Ephraim, Israel is defiled.
6:11 유다여 내가 내 백성의 사로잡힘을 돌이킬 때에 네게도 추수할 일을 정하였느니라
6:11 And Judah has put up disgusting images for himself.
6:11 Also, O Judah, he has set an harvest for you, when I returned the captivity
of my people.
7:1 내가 이스라엘을 치료하려 할 때에 에브라임의 죄와 사마리아의 악이 드러나도다
저희는 궤사를 행하며 안으로 들어가 도적질하고 밖으로 떼 지어 노략질하며
7:1 When my desire was for the fate of my people to be changed and to make Israel well,
then the sin of Ephraim was made clear, and the evil-doing of Samaria; for their
ways are false, and the thief comes into the house, while the band of outlaws takes
property by force in the streets.
7:1 When I would have healed Israel, then the iniquity of Ephraim was discovered,
and the wickedness of Samaria: for they commit falsehood; and the thief comes
in, and the troop of robbers spoils without.
7:2 내가 그 여러 악을 기억하였음을 저희가 마음에 생각지 아니하거니와 이제
그 행위가 저희를 에워싸고 내 목전에 있도다
7:2 And they do not say to themselves that I keep in mind all their sin; now their evil
acts come round them on every side; they are before my face.
7:2 And they consider not in their hearts that I remember all their wickedness:
now their own doings have beset them about; they are before my face.
7:3 저희가 그 악으로 왕을, 그 거짓말로 방백들을 기쁘게 하도다
7:3 In their sin they make a king for themselves, and rulers in their deceit.
7:3 They make the king glad with their wickedness, and the princes with their
lies.
7:4 저희는 다 간음하는 자라 빵 만드는 자에게 달궈진 화덕과 같도다 저가 반죽을
뭉침으로 발교되기까지만 불 일으키기를 그칠 뿐이니라
7:4 They are all untrue; they are like a burning oven; the bread-maker does not make
up the fire from the time when the paste is mixed till it is leavened.
7:4 They are all adulterers, as an oven heated by the baker, who ceases from
raising after he has kneaded the dough, until it be leavened.
7:5 우리 왕의 날에 방백들이 술의 뜨거움을 인하여 병이 나며 왕은 오만한 자들로
더불어 악수하는도다
7:5 On the day of our king, the rulers made him ill with the heat of wine; his hand
was stretched out with the men of pride.
7:5 In the day of our king the princes have made him sick with bottles of
wine; he stretched out his hand with scorners.
7:6 저희는 엎드리어 기다릴 때에 그 마음을 화덕 같이 예비하니 마치 빵 만드는
자가 밤새도록 자고 아침에 피우는 불의 일어나는 것 같도다
7:6 For they have made their hearts ready like an oven, while they are waiting secretly;
their wrath is sleeping all night; in the morning it is burning like a flaming fire.
7:6 For they have made ready their heart like an oven, while they lie in
wait: their baker sleeps all the night; in the morning it burns as a flaming
fire.
7:7 저희가 다 화덕 같이 뜨거워져서 그 재판장들을 삼키며 그 왕들을 다 엎드러지게
하며 저희 중에는 내게 부르짖는 자가 하나도 없도다
7:7 They are all heated like an oven, and they put an end to their judges; all their
kings have been made low; not one among them makes prayer to me.
7:7 They are all hot as an oven, and have devoured their judges; all their
kings are fallen: there is none among them that calls unto me.
7:8 ○ 에브라임이 열방에 혼잡되니 저는 곧 뒤집지 않은 전병이로다
7:8 Ephraim is mixed with the peoples; Ephraim is a cake not turned.
7:8 Ephraim, he has mixed himself among the people; Ephraim is a cake not
turned.
7:9 저는 이방인에게 그 힘이 삼키웠으나 알지 못하고 백발이 얼룩얼룩할지라도
깨닫지 못하는도다
7:9 Men from other lands have made waste his strength, and he is not conscious of it;
grey hairs have come on him here and there, and he has no knowledge of it.
7:9 Strangers have devoured his strength, and he knows it not: yea, gray
hairs are here and there upon him, yet he knows not.
7:10 이스라엘의 교만은 그 얼굴에 증거가 되나니 저희가 이 모든 일을 당하여도
그 하나님 여호와께로 돌아오지 아니하며 구하지 아니하도다
7:10 And the pride of Israel gives an answer to his face; but for all this, they have
not gone back to the Lord their God, or made search for him.
7:10 And the pride of Israel testifies to his face: and they do not return
to the LORD their God, nor seek him for all this.
7:11 에브라임은 어리석은 비둘기 같이 지혜가 없어서 애굽을 향하여 부르짖으며
앗수르로 가는도다
7:11 And Ephraim is like a foolish dove, without wisdom; they send out their cry to Egypt,
they go to Assyria.
7:11 Ephraim also is like a silly dove without heart: they call to Egypt,
they go to Assyria.
7:12 저희가 갈 때에 내가 나의 그물을 그 위에 쳐서 공중의 새처럼 떨어뜨리고
전에 그 공회에 들려준 대로 저희를 징계하리라
7:12 When they go, my net will be stretched out over them; I will take them like the
birds of heaven, I will give them punishment, I will take them away in the net for
their sin.
7:12 When they shall go, I will spread my net upon them; I will bring them
down as the fowls of the heaven; I will chastise them, as their congregation
has heard.
7:13 화 있을진저 저희가 나를 떠나 그릇 갔음이니라 패망할진저 저희가 내게
범죄하였음이니라 내가 저희를 구속하려 하나 저희가 나를 거스려 거짓을 말하고
7:13 May trouble be theirs! for they have gone far away from me; and destruction, for
they have been sinning against me; I was ready to be their saviour, but they said
false words against me.
7:13 Woe unto them! for they have fled from me: destruction unto them! because
they have transgressed against me: though I have redeemed them, yet they have
spoken lies against me.
7:14 성심으로 나를 부르지 아니하였으며 오직 침상에서 슬피 부르짖으며 곡식과
새 포도주를 인하여 모이며 나를 거역하는도다
7:14 And they have not made prayer to me in their hearts, but they make loud cries on
their beds; they are cutting themselves for food and wine, they are turned against
me.
7:14 And they have not cried unto me with their heart, when they howled upon
their beds: they assemble themselves for corn and wine, and they rebel against
me.
7:15 내가 저희 팔을 연습시켜 강건케 하였으나 저희는 내게 대하여 악을 꾀하는도다
7:15 Though I have given training and strength to their arms, they have evil designs
against me.
7:15 Though I have bound and strengthened their arms, yet do they imagine
mischief against me.
7:16 저희가 돌아오나 높으신 자에게로 돌아오지 아니하니 속이는 활과 같으며
그 방백들은 그 혀의 거친 말로 인하여 칼에 엎드러지리니 이것이 애굽 땅에서 조롱거리가
되리라
7:16 They have gone to what is of no value; they are like a false bow; their captains
will come to destruction by the sword, and their ruler by my wrath; for this, the
land of Egypt will make sport of them.
7:16 They return, but not to the most High: they are like a deceitful bow:
their princes shall fall by the sword for the rage of their tongue: this shall
be their derision in the land of Egypt.
8:1 나팔을 네 입에 댈지어다 대적이 독수리처럼 여호와의 집에 덮치리니 이는
무리가 내 언약을 어기며 내 율법을 범함이로다
8:1 Put the horn to your mouth. He comes like an eagle against the house of the Lord;
because they have gone against my agreement, they have not kept my law.
8:1 Set the trumpet to your mouth. He shall come as an eagle against the
house of the LORD, because they have transgressed my covenant, and trespassed
against my law.
8:2 저희가 장차 내게 부르짖기를 나의 하나님이여 우리 이스라엘이 주를 아나이다
하리라
8:2 They will send up to me a cry for help: We, Israel, have knowledge of you, O God
of Israel.
8:2 Israel shall cry unto me, My God, we know you.
8:3 이스라엘이 이미 선을 싫어 버렸으니 대적이 저를 따를 것이라
8:3 Israel has given up what is good; his haters will go after him.
8:3 Israel has cast off the thing that is good: the enemy shall pursue him.
8:4 저희가 왕들을 세웠으나 내게서 말미암지 아니하였고 저희가 방백들을 세웠으나
나의 모르는 바며 저희가 또 그 은, 금으로 자기를 위하여 우상을 만들었나니 파멸을
이루리라
8:4 They have put up kings, but not by me; they have made princes, but I had no knowledge
of it; they have made images of silver and gold, so that they may be cut off.
8:4 They have set up kings, but not by me: they have made princes, and I
knew it not: of their silver and their gold have they made them idols, that
they may be cut off.
8:5 사마리아여 네 송아지는 버리웠느니라 내 노가 무리를 향하여 타오르나니
저희가 어느 때에야 능히 무죄하겠느냐
8:5 I will have nothing to do with your young ox, O Samaria; my wrath is burning against
them; how long will it be before the children of Israel make themselves clean?
8:5 Your calf, O Samaria, has cast you off; mine anger is kindled against
them: how long will it be before they attain to innocence?
8:6 이것은 이스라엘에서 나고 공장이 만든 것이라 참 신이 아니니 사마리아의
송아지가 부숴뜨리우리라
8:6 The workman made it, it is no god; the ox of Samaria will be broken into bits.
8:6 For from Israel was it also: the workman made it; therefore it is not
God: but the calf of Samaria shall be broken in pieces.
8:7 저희가 바람을 심고 광풍을 거둘 것이라 심은 것이 줄기가 없으며 이삭은
열매를 맺히지 못할 것이요 설혹 맺힐지라도 이방 사람이 삼키리라
8:7 For they have been planting the wind, and their fruit will be the storm; his grain
has no stem, it will give no meal, and if it does, a strange nation will take it.
8:7 For they have sown the wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind: it has
no stalk; the bud shall yield no meal: if so be it yield, the strangers shall
swallow it up.
8:8 ○ 이스라엘은 이미 삼키웠은즉 이제 열국 가운데 있는 것이 기뻐하지 아니하는
그릇 같도다
8:8 Israel has come to destruction; now they are among the nations like a cup in which
there is no pleasure.
8:8 Israel is swallowed up: now shall they be among the Gentiles as a vessel
wherein is no pleasure.
8:9 저희가 홀로 처한 들나귀처럼 앗수르로 갔고 에브라임이 값 주고 연애하는
자들을 얻었도다
8:9 For they have gone up to Assyria like an ass going by himself; Ephraim has given
money to get lovers.
8:9 For they are gone up to Assyria, a wild ass alone by himself: Ephraim
has hired lovers.
8:10 저희가 열방 사람에게 값을 주었을지라도 이제 내가 저희를 모으리니 저희가
모든 방백의 임금의 지워 준 짐을 인하여 쇠하기 시작하리라
8:10 But though they give money to the nations for help, still I will send them in all
directions; and in a short time they will be without a king and rulers.
8:10 Yea, though they have hired among the nations, now will I gather them,
and they shall sorrow a little for the burden of the king of princes.
8:11 ○ 에브라임이 죄를 위하여 제단을 많이 만들더니 그 제단이 저로 범죄케
하는 것이 되었도다
8:11 Because Ephraim has been increasing altars for sin, altars have become a cause of
sin to him.
8:11 Because Ephraim has made many altars to sin, altars shall be unto him
to sin.
8:12 내가 저를 위하여 내 율법을 만 가지로 기록하였으나 저희가 관계 없는 것으로 여기도다
8:12 Though I put my law in writing for him in ten thousand rules, they are to him as
a strange thing.
8:12 I have written to him the great things of my law, but they were counted
as a strange thing.
8:13 내게 드리는 제물로 말할지라도 저희가 고기로 제사를 드리고 먹거니와 여호와는
그것을 기뻐하지 아니하고 이제 저희의 죄악을 기억하여 그 죄를 벌하리니 저희가
애굽으로 다시 가리라
8:13 He gives the offerings of his lovers, and takes the flesh for food; but the Lord
has no pleasure in them; now he will keep in mind their evil-doing and give them
the punishment of their sins; they will go back to Egypt.
8:13 They sacrifice flesh for the sacrifices of mine offerings, and eat it;
but the LORD accepts them not; now will he remember their iniquity, and visit
their sins: they shall return to Egypt.
8:14 이스라엘은 자기를 지은 자를 잊어버리고 전각들을 세웠으며 유다는 견고한
성읍을 많이 쌓았으나 내가 그 고을들에 불을 보내어 그 성들을 삼키게 하리라
8:14 For Israel has no memory of his Maker, and has put up the houses of kings; and Judah
has made great the number of his walled towns. But I will send a fire on his towns
and put an end to his great houses.
8:14 For Israel has forgotten his Maker, and builds temples; and Judah has
multiplied fenced cities: but I will send a fire upon his cities, and it shall
devour the palaces thereof.
9:1 이스라엘아 너는 이방 사람처럼 기뻐 뛰놀지 말라 네가 행음하여 네 하나님을
떠나고 각 타작 마당에서 음행의 값을 좋아하였느니라
9:1 Have no joy, O Israel, and do not be glad like the nations; for you have been untrue
to your God; your desire has been for the loose woman's reward on every grain-floor.
9:1 Rejoice not, O Israel, for joy, as other people: for you have gone a
whoring from your God, you have loved a reward upon floors of corn.
9:2 타작 마당이나 술 틀이 저희를 기르지 못할 것이며 새 포도주도 떨어질 것이요
9:2 The grain-floor and the place where the grapes are crushed will not give them food;
there will be no new wine for them.
9:2 The floor and the winepress shall not feed them, and the new wine shall
fail in her.
9:3 저희가 여호와의 땅에 거하지 못하며 에브라임이 애굽으로 다시 가고 앗수르에서
더러운 것을 먹을 것이니라
9:3 They will have no resting-place in the Lord's land, but Ephraim will go back to
Egypt, and they will take unclean food in Assyria.
9:3 They shall not dwell in the LORD's land; but Ephraim shall return to
Egypt, and they shall eat unclean things in Assyria.
9:4 저희가 여호와께 전제를 드리지 못하며 여호와의 기뻐하시는 바도 되지 못할
것이라 저희의 제물은 거상 입은 자의 식물과 같아서 무릇 그것을 먹는 자는 더러워지나니
저희의 식물은 자기 먹기에만 소용될 뿐이라 여호와의 집에 드릴 것이 아님이니라
9:4 They will give no wine offering to the Lord, they will not make offerings ready
for him; their bread will be like the bread of those in sorrow; all who take it
will be unclean, because their bread will be only for their desire, it will not
come into the house of the Lord.
9:4 They shall not offer wine offerings to the LORD, neither shall they be
pleasing unto him: their sacrifices shall be unto them as the bread of mourners;
all that eat thereof shall be polluted: for their bread for their soul shall
not come into the house of the LORD.
9:5 너희가 명절일과 여호와의 절일에 무엇을 하겠느냐
9:5 What will you do on the day of worship, and on the day of the feast of the Lord?
9:5 What will all of you do in the solemn day, and in the day of the feast
of the LORD?
9:6 보라 저희가 멸망을 피하여 갈지라도 애굽은 저희를 모으고 놉은 저희를 장사하리니
저희의 은 보물은 찔레가 덮을 것이요 저희의 장막 안에는 가시 덩굴이 퍼지리라
9:6 For see, they are going away into Assyria; Egypt will get them together, Memphis
will be their last resting-place; their fair silver vessels will be covered over
with field plants, and thorns will come up in their tents.
9:6 For, lo, they are gone because of destruction: Egypt shall gather them
up, Memphis shall bury them: the pleasant places for their silver, nettles shall
possess them: thorns shall be in their tabernacles.
9:7 형벌의 날이 이르렀고 보응의 날이 임한 것을 이스라엘이 알지라 선지자가
어리석었고 신에 감동하는 자가 미쳤나니 이는 네 죄악이 많고 네 원한이 큼이니라
9:7 The days of punishment, the days of reward are come; Israel will be put to shame;
the prophet is foolish, the man who has the spirit is off his head, because of your
great sin.
9:7 The days of visitation are come, the days of recompence are come; Israel
shall know it: the prophet is a fool, the spiritual man is mad, for the multitude
of yours iniquity, and the great hatred.
9:8 에브라임은 내 하나님의 파숫군이어늘 선지자는 그 모든 행위에 새 잡는
자의 그물 같고 또 그 하나님의 전에서 원한을 품었도다
9:8 There is great hate against the watchman of Ephraim, the people of my God; as for
the prophet, there is a net in all his ways, and hate in the house of his God.
9:8 The watchman of Ephraim was with my God: but the prophet is a snare of
a fowler in all his ways, and hatred in the house of his God.
9:9 저희는 기브아의 시대와 같이 심히 패괴한지라 여호와께서 그 악을 기억하시고
그 죄를 벌하시리라
9:9 They have gone deep in evil as in the days of Gibeah; he will keep in mind their
wrongdoing, he will give them punishment for their sins.
9:9 They have deeply corrupted themselves, as in the days of Gibeah: therefore
he will remember their iniquity, he will visit their sins.
9:10 ○ 옛적에 내가 이스라엘 만나기를 광야에서 포도를 만남 같이 하였으며
너희 열조 보기를 무화과나무에서 처음 맺힌 첫 열매를 봄 같이 하였거늘 저희가
바알브올에 가서 부끄러운 우상에게 몸을 드림으로 저희의 사랑하는 우상 같이 가증하여졌도다
9:10 I made discovery of Israel as of grapes in the waste land; I saw your fathers as
the first-fruits of the fig-tree in her early fruit time; but they came to Baal-peor,
and made themselves holy to the thing of shame, and became disgusting like that
to which they gave their love.
9:10 I found Israel like grapes in the wilderness; I saw your fathers as
the first-fruits in the fig tree at her first time: but they went to Baalpeor,
and separated themselves unto that shame; and their abominations were according
as they loved.
9:11 에브라임의 영광이 새 같이 날아 가리니 해산함이나 아이 뱀이나 잉태함이
없으리라
9:11 As for Ephraim, their glory will go in flight like a bird: there will be no birth
and no one with child and no giving of life.
9:11 As for Ephraim, their glory shall fly away like a bird, from the birth,
and from the womb, and from the conception.
9:12 혹 저희가 자식을 기를지라도 내가 그 자식을 없이하여 한 사람도 남기지
아니할 것이라 내가 저희를 떠나는 때에는 저희에게 화가 미치리로다
9:12 Even though their children have come to growth I will take them away, so that not
a man will be there; for their evil-doing will be complete and they will be put
to shame because of it.
9:12 Though they bring up their children, yet will I bereave them, that there
shall not be a man left: yea, woe also to them when I depart from them!
9:13 내가 보건대 에브라임은 아름다운 곳에 심긴 두로와 같으나 그 자식들을
살인하는 자에게로 끌어내리로다
9:13 As I have seen a beast whose young have been taken from her, so Ephraim will give
birth to children only for them to be put to death.
9:13 Ephraim, as I saw Tyrus, is planted in a pleasant place: but Ephraim
shall bring forth his children to the murderer.
9:14 여호와여 저희에게 주소서 무엇을 주시려나이까 청컨대 배지 못하는 태와
젖 없는 유방을 주시옵소서
9:14 O Lord, what will you give them? Give them bodies which may not give birth and breasts
without milk.
9:14 Give them, O LORD: what will you give? give them a miscarrying womb
and dry breasts.
9:15 저희의 모든 악이 길갈에 있으므로 내가 거기서 저희를 미워하였노라 그
행위가 악하므로 내 집에서 쫓아내고 다시는 사랑하지 아니하리라 그 방백들은 다
패역한 자니라
9:15 All their evil-doing is in Gilgal; there I had hate for them; because of their evil-doing
I will send them out of my house; they will no longer be dear to me; all their rulers
are uncontrolled.
9:15 All their wickedness is in Gilgal: for there I hated them: for the wickedness
of their doings I will drive them out of mine house, I will love them no more:
all their princes are apostates.
9:16 에브라임이 침을 입고 그 뿌리가 말라 과실을 맺지 못하나니 비록 아이를
낳을지라도 내가 그 사랑하는 태의 열매를 죽이리라
9:16 The rod has come on Ephraim, their root is dry, let them have no fruit; even though
they give birth, I will put to death the dearest fruit of their bodies.
9:16 Ephraim is smitten, their root is dried up, they shall bear no fruit:
yea, though they bring forth, yet will I slay even the beloved fruit of their
womb.
9:17 저희가 듣지 아니하므로 내 하나님이 저희를 버리시리니 저희가 열국 가운데
유리하는 자가 되리라
9:17 My God will give them up because they did not give ear to him; they will be wandering
among the nations.
9:17 My God will cast them away, because they did not hearken unto him: and
they shall be wanderers among the nations.
10:1 이스라엘은 열매 맺는 무성한 포도나무라 그 열매가 많을수록 제단을 많게
하며 그 땅이 아름다울수록 주상을 아름답게 하도다
10:1 Israel is a branching vine, full of fruit; as his fruit is increased, so the number
of his altars is increased; as the land is fair, so they have made fair pillars.
10:1 Israel is an empty vine, he brings forth fruit unto himself: according
to the multitude of his fruit he has increased the altars; according to the
goodness of his land they have made goodly images.
10:2 저희가 두 마음을 품었으니 이제 죄를 받을 것이라 하나님이 그 제단을 쳐서
깨치시며 그 주상을 헐으시리라
10:2 Their mind is taken away; now they will be made waste: he will have their altars
broken down, he will give their pillars to destruction.
10:2 Their heart is divided; now shall they be found faulty: he shall break
down their altars, he shall spoil their images.
10:3 저희가 이제 이르기를 우리가 여호와를 두려워 아니하므로 우리에게 왕이
없거니와 왕이 우리를 위하여 무엇을 하리요 하리로다
10:3 Now, truly, they will say, We have no king, we have no fear of the Lord; and the
king, what is he able to do for us?
10:3 For now they shall say, We have no king, because we feared not the LORD;
what then should a king do to us?
10:4 ○ 저희가 헛된 말을 내며 거짓 맹세를 발하여 언약을 세우니 그 재판이
밭이랑에 돋는 독한 인진 같으리로다
10:4 Their words are foolish; they make agreements with false oaths, so punishment will
come up like a poison-plant in a ploughed field.
10:4 They have spoken words, swearing falsely in making a covenant: thus
judgment springs up as hemlock in the furrows of the field.
10:5 사마리아 거민이 벧아웬의 송아지를 인하여 두려워할 것이라 그 백성이 슬퍼하며
그것을 기뻐하던 제사장들도 슬퍼하리니 이는 그 영광이 떠나감이며
10:5 The people of Samaria will be full of fear because of the ox of Beth-aven; its people
will have sorrow for it, and its priests will give cries of grief for its glory,
for the glory has gone in flight.
10:5 The inhabitants of Samaria shall fear because of the calves of Bethaven:
for the people thereof shall mourn over it, and the priests thereof that rejoiced
on it, for the glory thereof, because it is departed from it.
10:6 그 송아지는 앗수르로 옮겨다가 예물로 야렙 왕에게 드리리니 에브라임은
수치를 받을 것이요 이스라엘은 자기들의 계의를 부끄러워할 것이며
10:6 And they will take it to Assyria and give it to the great king; shame will come
on Ephraim, and Israel will be shamed because of its image.
10:6 It shall be also carried unto Assyria for a present to king Jareb: Ephraim
shall receive shame, and Israel shall be ashamed of his own counsel.
10:7 사마리아 왕은 물 위에 거품 같이 멸망할 것이며
10:7 As for Samaria, her king is cut off, like mist on the water.
10:7 As for Samaria, her king is cut off as the foam upon the water.
10:8 이스라엘의 죄 된 아웬의 산당은 패괴되어 가시와 찔레가 그 단 위에 날 것이니
그 때에 저희가 산더러 우리를 가리우라 할 것이요 작은 산더러 우리 위에 무너지라 하리라
10:8 And the high places of Aven, the sin of Israel, will come to destruction; thorns
and waste plants will come up on their altars; they will say to the mountains, Be
a cover over us; and to the hills, Come down on us.
10:8 The high places also of Aven, the sin of Israel, shall be destroyed:
the thorn and the thistle shall come up on their altars; and they shall say
to the mountains, Cover us; and to the hills, Fall on us.
10:9 ○ 이스라엘아 네가 기브아의 시대로부터 범죄하였거늘 무리가 기브아에 서서 흉악한 족속을 치는 전쟁을 거기서 면하였도다
10:9 O Israel, you have done evil from the days of Gibeah; there they took up their position,
so that the fighting against the children of evil might not overtake them in Gibeah.
10:9 O Israel, you have sinned from the days of Gibeah: there they stood:
the battle in Gibeah against the children of iniquity did not overtake them.
10:10 내가 원하는 때에 저희를 징계하리니 저희가 두 가지 죄에 걸릴 때에 만민이
모여서 저희를 치리라
10:10 I will come and give them punishment; and the peoples will come together against
them when I give them the reward of their two sins.
10:10 It is in my desire that I should chastise them; and the people shall
be gathered against them, when they shall bind themselves in their two furrows.
10:11 에브라임은 마치 길들인 암소 같아서 곡식 밟기를 좋아하나 내가 그 아름다운
목에 멍에를 메우고 그의 위에 사람을 태우리니 유다가 밭을 갈고 야곱이 흙덩이를
깨뜨리리라
10:11 And Ephraim is a trained cow, taking pleasure in crushing the grain; but I have
put a yoke on her fair neck; I will put a horseman on the back of Ephraim; Judah
will be working the plough, Jacob will be turning up the earth.
10:11 And Ephraim is as an heifer that is taught, and loves to tread out
the corn; but I passed over upon her fair neck: I will make Ephraim to ride;
Judah shall plow, and Jacob shall break his clods.
10:12 ○ 너희가 자기를 위하여 의를 심고 긍휼을 거두라 지금이 곧 여호와를
찾을 때니 너희 묵은 땅을 기경하라 마침내 여호와께서 임하사 의를 비처럼 너희에게
내리시리라
10:12 Put in the seed of righteousness, get in your grain in mercy, let your unploughed
earth be turned up: for it is time to make search for the Lord, till he comes and
sends righteousness on you like rain.
10:12 Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your fallow
ground: for it is time to seek the LORD, till he comes and rain righteousness
upon you.
10:13 너희는 악을 밭 갈아 죄를 거두고 거짓 열매를 먹었나니 이는 네가 네 길과
네 용사의 많음을 의뢰하였음이라
10:13 You have been ploughing sin, you have got in a store of evil, the fruit of deceit
has been your food: for you put faith in your way, in the number of your men of
war.
10:13 All of you have plowed wickedness, all of you have reaped iniquity;
all of you have eaten the fruit of lies: because you did trust in your way,
in the multitude of your mighty men.
10:14 그러므로 너희 백성 중에 요란함이 일어나며 네 산성들이 다 훼파되되 살만이
전쟁의 날에 벧아벨을 훼파한 것 같이 될 것이라 그 때에 어미와 자식이 함께 부숴졌도다
10:14 So a great outcry will go up from among your people, and all your strong places
will be broken, as Beth-arbel was broken by Shalman in the day of war, as the mother
was broken on the rocks with her children.
10:14 Therefore shall a tumult arise among your people, and all your fortresses
shall be spoiled, as Shalman spoiled Betharbel in the day of battle: the mother
was dashed in pieces upon her children.
10:15 너희의 큰 악을 인하여 벧엘이 이같이 너희에게 행하리니 이스라엘 왕이
새벽에 멸절하리로다
10:15 So will Beth-el do to you because of your evil-doing; at dawn will the king of Israel
be cut off completely.
10:15 So shall Bethel do unto you because of your great wickedness: in a
morning shall the king of Israel utterly be cut off.
11:1 이스라엘의 어렸을 때에 내가 사랑하여 내 아들을 애굽에서 불러내었거늘
11:1 When Israel was a child he was dear to me; and I took my son out of Egypt.
11:1 When Israel was a child, then I loved him, and called my son out of
Egypt.
11:2 선지자들이 저희를 부를수록 저희가 점점 멀리하고 바알들에게 제사하며
아로새긴 우상 앞에서 분향하였느니라
11:2 When I sent for them, then they went away from me; they made offerings to the Baals,
burning perfumes to images.
11:2 As they called them, so they went from them: they sacrificed unto Baalim,
and burned incense to graven images.
11:3 그러나 내가 에브라임에게 걸음을 가르치고 내 팔로 안을지라도 내가 저희를
고치는 줄을 저희가 알지 못하였도다
11:3 But I was guiding Ephraim's footsteps; I took them up in my arms, but they were
not conscious that I was ready to make them well.
11:3 I taught Ephraim also to go, taking them by their arms; but they knew
not that I healed them.
11:4 내가 사람의 줄 곧 사랑의 줄로 저희를 이끌었고 저희에게 대하여 그 목에서
멍에를 벗기는 자 같이 되었으며 저희 앞에서 먹을 것을 두었었노라
11:4 I made them come after me with the cords of a man, with the bands of love; I was
to them as one who took the yoke from off their mouths, putting meat before them.
11:4 I drew them with cords of a man, with bands of love: and I was to them
as they that take off the yoke on their jaws, and I laid food unto them.
11:5 ○ 저희가 애굽 땅으로 다시 가지 못하겠거늘 내게 돌아오기를 싫어하니
앗수르 사람이 그 임금이 될 것이라
11:5 He will go back to the land of Egypt and the Assyrian will be his king, because
they would not come back to me.
11:5 He shall not return into the land of Egypt, and the Assyrian shall be
his king, because they refused to return.
11:6 칼이 저희의 성읍들을 치며 빗장을 깨뜨려 없이하리니 이는 저희의 계책을
인함이니라
11:6 And the sword will go through his towns, wasting his children and causing destruction
because of their evil designs.
11:6 And the sword shall abide on his cities, and shall consume his branches,
and devour them, because of their own counsels.
11:7 내 백성이 결심하고 내게서 물러가나니 비록 저희를 불러 위에 계신 자에게로
돌아오라 할지라도 일어나는 자가 하나도 없도다
11:7 My people are given up to sinning against me; though their voice goes up on high,
no one will be lifting them up.
11:7 And my people are bent to backsliding from me: though they called them
to the most High, none at all would exalt him.
11:8 ○ 에브라임이여 내가 어찌 너를 놓겠느냐 이스라엘이여 내가 어찌 너를
버리겠느냐 내가 어찌 아드마 같이 놓겠느냐 어찌 너를 스보임 같이 두겠느냐 내 마음이
내 속에서 돌아서 나의 긍휼이 온전히 불붙듯 하도다
11:8 How may I give you up, O Ephraim? how may I be your saviour, O Israel? how may I
make you like Admah? how may I do to you as I did to Zeboim? My heart is turned
in me, it is soft with pity.
11:8 How shall I give you up, Ephraim? how shall I deliver you, Israel? how
shall I make you as Admah? how shall I set you as Zeboim? mine heart is turned
within me, my repentings are kindled together.
11:9 내가 나의 맹렬한 진노를 발하지 아니하며 내가 다시는 에브라임을 멸하지
아니하리니 이는 내가 사람이 아니요 하나님임이라 나는 네 가운데 거하는 거룩한
자니 진노함으로 네게 임하지 아니하리라
11:9 I will not put into effect the heat of my wrath; I will not again send destruction
on Ephraim; for I am God and not man, the Holy One among you; I will not put an
end to you.
11:9 I will not execute the fierceness of mine anger, I will not return to
destroy Ephraim: for I am God, and not man; the Holy One in the midst of you:
and I will not enter into the city.
11:10 저희가 사자처럼 소리를 발하시는 여호와를 좇을 것이라 여호와께서 소리를
발하시면 자손들이 서편에서부터 떨며 오되
11:10 They will go after the Lord; his cry will be like that of a lion; his cry will be
loud, and the children will come from the west, shaking with fear;
11:10 They shall walk after the LORD: he shall roar like a lion: when he
shall roar, then the children shall tremble from the west.
11:11 저희가 애굽에서부터 새 같이, 앗수르에서부터 비둘기 같이 떨며 오리니 내가
저희로 각 집에 머물게 하리라 나 여호와의 말이니라
11:11 Shaking with fear like a bird, they will come out of Egypt, like a dove out of the
land of Assyria: and I will give them rest in their houses, says the Lord.
11:11 They shall tremble as a bird out of Egypt, and as a dove out of the
land of Assyria: and I will place them in their houses, says the LORD.
11:12 ○ 에브라임은 거짓으로 이스라엘 족속은 궤휼로 나를 에워쌌고 유다는
하나님 곧 신실하시고 거룩하신 자에게 대하여 정함이 없도다
11:12 The deceit of Ephraim and the false words of Israel are about me on every side.

11:12 Ephraim compasses me about with lies, and the house of Israel with
deceit: but Judah yet rules with God, and is faithful with the saints.
12:1 에브라임은 바람을 먹으며 동풍을 따라가서 날마다 거짓과 포학을 더하며
앗수르와 계약을 맺고 기름을 애굽에 보내도다
12:1 Ephraim's food is the wind, and he goes after the east wind: deceit and destruction
are increasing day by day; they make an agreement with Assyria, and take oil into
Egypt.
12:1 Ephraim feeds on wind, and follows after the east wind: he daily increases
lies and desolation; and they do make a covenant with the Assyrians, and oil
is carried into Egypt.
12:2 여호와께서 유다와 쟁변하시고 야곱의 소행대로 벌주시며 그 소위대로 보응하시리라
12:2 The Lord has a cause against Judah, and will give punishment to Jacob for his ways;
he will give him the reward of his acts.
12:2 The LORD has also a controversy with Judah, and will punish Jacob according
to his ways; according to his doings will he recompense him.
12:3 야곱은 태에서 그 형의 발뒤꿈치를 잡았고 또 장년에 하나님과 힘을 겨루되
12:3 In the body of his mother he took his brother by the foot, and in his strength he
was fighting with God;
12:3 He took his brother by the heel in the womb, and by his strength he
had power with God:
12:4 천사와 힘을 겨루어 이기고 울며 그에게 간구하였으며 하나님은 벧엘에서
저를 만나셨고 거기서 우리에게 말씀하셨나니
12:4 He had a fight with the angel and overcame him; he made request for grace to him
with weeping; he came face to face with him in Beth-el and there his words came
to him;
12:4 Yea, he had power over the angel, and prevailed: he wept, and made supplication
unto him: he found him in Bethel, and there he spoke with us;
12:5 저는 만군의 하나님 여호와시라 여호와는 그의 기념 칭호니라
12:5 Even the Lord, the God of armies; the Lord is his name.
12:5 Even the LORD God of hosts; the LORD is his memorial.
12:6 그런즉 너의 하나님께로 돌아와서 인애와 공의를 지키며 항상 너의 하나님을
바라볼지니라
12:6 So then, come back to your God; keep mercy and right, and be waiting at all times
on your God.
12:6 Therefore turn you to your God: keep mercy and judgment and wait on
your God continually.
12:7 ○ 저는 상고여늘 손에 거짓 저울을 가지고 사취하기를 좋아하는도다
12:7 As for Canaan, the scales of deceit are in his hands; he takes pleasure in twisted
ways.
12:7 He is a merchant, the balances of deceit are in his hand: he loves to
oppress.
12:8 에브라임이 말하기를 나는 실로 부자라 내가 재물을 얻었는데 무릇 나의
수고한 중에서 죄라 할 만한 불의를 발견할 자 없으리라 하거니와
12:8 And Ephraim said, Now I have got wealth and much property; in all my works no sin
may be seen in me.
12:8 And Ephraim said, Yet I am become rich, I have found me out substance:
in all my labours they shall find none iniquity in me that were sin.
12:9 내가 애굽 땅에서 나옴으로부터 나는 네 하나님 여호와니라 내가 너로 다시
장막에 거하게 하기를 명절일에 하던 것 같게 하리라
12:9 But I am the Lord your God from the land of Egypt; I will give you tents for your
living-places again as in the days of the holy meeting.
12:9 And I that am the LORD your God from the land of Egypt will yet make
you to dwell in tabernacles, as in the days of the solemn feast.
12:10 내가 여러 선지자에게 말하였고 이상을 많이 보였으며 선지자들을 빙자하여
비유를 베풀었노라
12:10 My word came to the ears of the prophets and I gave them visions in great number,
and by the mouths of the prophets I made use of comparisons.
12:10 I have also spoken by the prophets, and I have multiplied visions,
and used similitudes, by the ministry of the prophets.
12:11 길르앗은 불의한 것이냐 저희는 과연 거짓되도다 길갈에서는 무리가 수송아지로
제사를 드리며 그 제단은 밭이랑에 쌓인 돌무더기 같도다
12:11 In Gilead there is evil. They are quite without value; in Gilgal they make offerings
of oxen; truly their altars are like masses of stones in the hollows of a ploughed
field.
12:11 Is there iniquity in Gilead? surely they are vanity: they sacrifice
bullocks in Gilgal; yea, their altars are as heaps in the furrows of the fields.
12:12 옛적에 야곱이 아람 들로 도망하였으며 이스라엘이 아내 얻기 위하여 사람을
섬기며 아내 얻기 위하여 양을 쳤고
12:12 And Jacob went in flight into the field of Aram, and Israel became a servant for
a wife, and for a wife he kept sheep.
12:12 And Jacob fled into the country of Syria, and Israel served for a wife,
and for a wife he kept sheep.
12:13 여호와께서는 선지자로 이스라엘을 애굽에서 인도하여 내시며 선지자로
저를 보호하셨거늘
12:13 And by a prophet the Lord made Israel come up out of Egypt, and by a prophet he
was kept safe.
12:13 And by a prophet the LORD brought Israel out of Egypt, and by a prophet
was he preserved.
12:14 에브라임이 격노케 함이 극심하였으니 그 주께서 그 피로 그 위에 머물러
있게 하시며 저의 수치를 저에게 돌리시리라
12:14 I have been bitterly moved to wrath by Ephraim; so that his blood will be on him,
and the Lord will make his shame come back on him.
12:14 Ephraim provoked him to anger most bitterly: therefore shall he leave
his blood upon him, and his reproach shall his LORD return unto him.
13:1 에브라임이 말을 발하면 사람이 떨었도다 저가 이스라엘 중에서 자기를 높이더니
바알로 인하여 범죄하므로 망하였거늘
13:1 When the words of my law came from Ephraim, he was lifted up in Israel; but when
he did evil through the Baal, death overtook him.
13:1 When Ephraim spoke trembling, he exalted himself in Israel; but when
he offended in Baal, he died.
13:2 이제도 저희가 더욱 범죄하여 그 은으로 자기를 위하여 우상을 부어 만들되
자기의 공교함을 따라 우상을 만들었으며 그것은 다 장색이 만든 것이어늘 저희가
그것에 대하여 말하기를 제사를 드리는 자는 송아지의 입을 맞출 것이라 하도다
13:2 And now their sins are increased; they have made themselves a metal image, false
gods from their silver, after their designs, all of them the work of the metal-workers;
they say of them, Let them give offerings, let men give kisses to the oxen.
13:2 And now they sin more and more, and have made them molten images of
their silver, and idols according to their own understanding, all of it the
work of the craftsmen: they say of them, Let the men that sacrifice kiss the
calves.
13:3 이러므로 저희는 아침 구름 같으며 쉽게 사라지는 이슬 같으며 타작 마당에서
광풍에 날리우는 쭉정이 같으며 굴뚝에서 나가는 연기 같으리라
13:3 So they will be like the morning cloud, like the dew which goes early away, like
the dust of the grain which the wind is driving out of the crushing-floor, like
smoke going up from the fireplace.
13:3 Therefore they shall be as the morning cloud and as the early dew that
passes away, as the chaff that is driven with the whirlwind out of the floor,
and as the smoke out of the chimney.
13:4 ○ 그러나 네가 애굽 땅에서 나옴으로부터 나는 네 하나님 여호와라 나 밖에
네가 다른 신을 알지 말 것이라 나 외에는 구원자가 없느니라
13:4 But I am the Lord your God, from the land of Egypt; you have knowledge of no other
God and there is no saviour but me.
13:4 Yet I am the LORD your God from the land of Egypt, and you shall know
no god but me: for there is no saviour beside me.
13:5 내가 광야 마른 땅에서 너를 권고하였거늘
13:5 I had knowledge of you in the waste land where no water was.
13:5 I did know you in the wilderness, in the land of great drought.
13:6 저희가 먹이운 대로 배부르며 배부름으로 마음이 교만하며 이로 인하여 나를 잊었느니라
13:6 When I gave them food they were full, and their hearts were full of pride, and they
did not keep me in mind.
13:6 According to their pasture, so were they filled; they were filled, and
their heart was exalted; therefore have they forgotten me.
13:7 그러므로 내가 저희에게 사자 같고 길 가에서 기다리는 표범 같으니라
13:7 So I will be like a lion to them; as a cruel beast I will keep watch by the road;
13:7 Therefore I will be unto them as a lion: as a leopard by the way will
I observe them:
13:8 내가 새끼 잃은 곰 같이 저희를 만나 그 염통 꺼풀을 찢고 거기서 암사자 같이
저희를 삼키리라 들짐승이 저희를 찢으리라
13:8 I will come face to face with them like a bear whose young ones have been taken
from her, and their inmost hearts will be broken; there the dogs will make a meal
of them; they will be wounded by the beasts of the field.
13:8 I will meet them as a bear that is bereaved of her whelps, and will
rend the lobe of their heart, and there will I devour them like a lion: the
wild beast shall tear them.
13:9 ○ 이스라엘아 네가 패망하였나니 이는 너를 도와 주는 나를 대적함이니라
13:9 I have sent destruction on you, O Israel; who will be your helper?
13:9 O Israel, you have destroyed yourself; but in me is yours help.
13:10 전에 네가 이르기를 내게 왕과 방백들을 주소서 하였느니라 네 모든 성읍에서
너를 구원할 자 네 왕이 이제 어디 있으며 네 재판장들이 어디 있느냐
13:10 Where is your king, that he may be your saviour? and all your rulers, that they
may take up your cause? of whom you said, Give me a king and rulers.
13:10 I will be your king: where is any other that may save you in all your
cities? and your judges of whom you said, Give me a king and princes?
13:11 내가 분노하므로 네게 왕을 주고 진노하므로 폐하였노라
13:11 I have given you a king, because I was angry, and have taken him away in my wrath.
13:11 I gave you a king in mine anger, and took him away in my wrath.
13:12 에브라임의 불의가 봉함되었고 그 죄가 저장되었나니
13:12 The wrongdoing of Ephraim is shut up; his sin is put away in secret.
13:12 The iniquity of Ephraim is bound up; his sin is hid.
13:13 해산하는 여인의 어려움이 저에게 임하리라 저는 어리석은 자식이로다 때가
임하였나니 산문에서 지체할 것이 아니니라
13:13 The pains of a woman in childbirth will come on him: he is an unwise son, for at
this time it is not right for him to keep his place when children come to birth.
13:13 The sorrows of a travailing woman shall come upon him: he is an unwise
son; for he should not stay long in the place of the breaking out of children.
13:14 내가 저희를 음부의 권세에서 속량하며 사망에서 구속하리니 사망아 네
재앙이 어디 있느냐 음부야 네 멸망이 어디 있느냐 뉘우침이 내 목전에 숨으리라
13:14 I will give the price to make them free from the power of the underworld, I will
be their saviour from death: O death! where are your pains? O underworld! where
is your destruction? my eyes will have no pity.
13:14 I will ransom them from the power of the grave; I will redeem them
from death: O death, I will be your plagues; O grave, I will be your destruction:
repentance shall be hid from mine eyes.
13:15 ○ 저가 비록 형제 중에서 결실하나 동풍이 오리니 곧 광야에서 일어나는
여호와의 바람이라 그 근원이 마르며 그 샘이 마르고 그 적축한 바 모든 보배의 그릇이
약탈되리로다
13:15 Though he gives fruit among his brothers, an east wind will come, the wind of the
Lord coming up from the waste land, and his spring will become dry, his fountain
will be without water: it will make waste the store of all the vessels of his desire.
13:15 Though he be fruitful among his brethren, an east wind shall come,
the wind of the LORD shall come up from the wilderness, and his spring shall
become dry, and his fountain shall be dried up: he shall spoil the treasure
of all pleasant vessels.
13:16 사마리아가 그 하나님을 배반하였으므로 형벌을 당하여 칼에 엎드러질 것이요
그 어린 아이는 부숴뜨리우며 그 아이 밴 여인은 배가 갈리우리라
13:16 Samaria will be made waste, for she has gone against her God: they will be cut down
by the sword, their little children will be broken on the rocks, their women who
are with child will be cut open.
13:16 Samaria shall become desolate; for she has rebelled against her God:
they shall fall by the sword: their infants shall be dashed in pieces, and their
women with child shall be ripped up.
14:1 이스라엘아 네 하나님 여호와께로 돌아오라 네가 불의함을 인하여 엎드러졌느니라
14:1 O Israel, come back to the Lord your God; for your evil-doing has been the cause
of your fall.
14:1 O israel, return unto the LORD your God; for you have fallen by yours
iniquity.
14:2 너는 말씀을 가지고 여호와께로 돌아와서 아뢰기를 모든 불의를 제하시고
선한 바를 받으소서 우리가 입술로 수송아지를 대신하여 주께 드리리이다
14:2 Take with you words, and come back to the Lord; say to him, Let there be forgiveness
for all wrongdoing, so that we may take what is good, and give in payment the fruit
of our lips.
14:2 Take with you words, and turn to the LORD: say unto him, Take away all
iniquity, and receive us graciously: so will we render the calves of our lips.
14:3 우리가 앗수르의 구원을 의지하지 아니하며 말을 타지 아니하며 다시는 우리의
손으로 지은 것을 향하여 너희는 우리 신이라 하지 아니하오리니 이는 고아가 주께로
말미암아 긍휼을 얻음이니이다 할지니라
14:3 Assyria will not be our salvation; we will not go on horses; we will not again say
to the work of our hands, You are our gods; for in you there is mercy for the child
who has no father.
14:3 Asshur shall not save us; we will not ride upon horses: neither will
we say any more to the work of our hands, All of you are our gods: for in you
the fatherless finds mercy.
14:4 ○ 내가 저희의 패역을 고치고 즐거이 저희를 사랑하리니 나의 진노가 저에게서
떠났음이니라
14:4 I will put right their errors; freely will my love be given to them, for my wrath
is turned away from him.
14:4 I will heal their backsliding, I will love them freely: for mine anger
is turned away from him.
14:5 내가 이스라엘에게 이슬과 같으리니 저가 백합화 같이 피겠고 레바논 백향목 같이
뿌리가 박힐 것이라
14:5 I will be as the dew to Israel; he will put out flowers like a lily, and send out
his roots like Lebanon.
14:5 I will be as the dew unto Israel: he shall grow as the lily, and cast
forth his roots as Lebanon.
14:6 그 가지는 퍼지며 그 아름다움은 감람나무와 같고 그 향기는 레바논 백향목
같으리니
14:6 His branches will be stretched out, he will be beautiful as the olive-tree and sweet-smelling
as Lebanon.
14:6 His branches shall spread, and his beauty shall be as the olive tree,
and his smell as Lebanon.
14:7 그 그늘 아래 거하는 자가 돌아올지라 저희는 곡식 같이 소성할 것이며 포도나무 같이
꽃이 필 것이며 그 향기는 레바논의 포도주 같이 되리라
14:7 They will come back and have rest in his shade; their life will be made new like
the grain, and they will put out flowers like the vine; his name will be like the
wine of Lebanon.
14:7 They that dwell under his shadow shall return; they shall revive as
the corn, and grow as the vine: the scent thereof shall be as the wine of Lebanon.
14:8 에브라임의 말이 내가 다시 우상과 무슨 상관이 있으리요 할지라 내가 저를
돌아보아 대답하기를 나는 푸른 잣나무 같으니 네가 나로 말미암아 열매를 얻으리라 하리라
14:8 As for Ephraim, what has he to do with false gods any longer? I have given an answer
and I will keep watch over him; I am like a branching fir-tree, from me comes your
fruit.
14:8 Ephraim shall say, What have I to do any more with idols? I have heard
him, and observed him: I am like a green fir tree. From me is your fruit found.
14:9 ○ 누가 지혜가 있어 이런 일을 깨달으며 누가 총명이 있어 이런 일을 알겠느냐
여호와의 도는 정직하니 의인이라야 그 도에 행하리라 그러나 죄인은 그 도에 거쳐
넘어지리라
14:9 He who is wise will see these things; he who has good sense will have knowledge
of them. For the ways of the Lord are straight, and the upright will go in them,
but sinners will be falling in them.
14:9 Who is wise, and he shall understand these things? prudent, and he shall
know them? for the ways of the LORD are right, and the just shall walk in them:
but the transgressors shall fall therein.
