1:1 Paul, an Apostle of Jesus Christ by the purpose of God, and Sosthenes the brother,
1:1 Paul called to be an apostle of Jesus Christ through the will of God, and Sosthenes our brother,

1:2 To the church of God which is in Corinth, to those who have been made holy in Christ Jesus, saints by the selection of God, with all those who in every place give honour to the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, their Lord and ours:
1:2 Unto the church of God which is at Corinth, to them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all that in every place call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both their's and our's:

1:3 Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
1:3 Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.

1:4 I give praise to my God for you at all times, because of the grace of God which has been given to you in Christ Jesus;
1:4 I thank my God always on your behalf, for the grace of God which is given you by Jesus Christ;

1:5 So that in him you have wealth in all things, in word and in knowledge of every sort;
1:5 That in every thing all of you are enriched by him, in all utterance, (o. logos) and in all knowledge;

1:6 Even as the witness of the Christ has been made certain among you:

1:7 So that having every grace you are living in the hope of the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ;
1:7 So that all of you come behind in no gift; waiting for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ:

1:8 Who will give you strength to the end, to be free from all sin in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.
1:8 Who shall also confirm you unto the end, that all of you may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.

1:9 God is true, through whom you have been given a part with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.
1:9 God is faithful, by whom all of you were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.

1:10 Now I make request to you, my brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you will all say the same thing, and that there may be no divisions among you, so that you may be in complete agreement, in the same mind and in the same opinion.
1:10 Now I plead to you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that all of you be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.

1:11 Because it has come to my knowledge, through those of the house of Chloe, that there are divisions among you, my brothers.
1:11 For it has been declared unto me of you, my brethren, by them which are of the house of Chloe, that there are contentions among you.

1:12 That is, that some of you say, I am of Paul; some say, I am of Apollos; some say, I am of Cephas; and some say, I am Christ's.
1:12 Now this I say, that every one of you says, I am of Paul; and I of Apollos; and I of Cephas; and I of Christ.

1:13 Is there a division in Christ? was Paul nailed to the cross for you? or were you given baptism in the name of Paul?
1:13 Is Christ divided? was Paul crucified for you? or were all of you baptized in the name of Paul?

1:14 I give praise to God that not one of you had baptism from me, but Crispus and Gaius;
1:14 I thank God that I baptized none of you, but Crispus and Gaius;

1:15 So that no one may be able to say that you had baptism in my name.
1:15 Lest any should say that I had baptized in mine own name.

1:16 And I gave baptism to the house of Stephanas; but I am not certain that any others had baptism from me.
1:16 And I baptized also the household of Stephanas: besides, I know not whether I baptized any other.

1:17 For Christ sent me, not to give baptism, but to be a preacher of the good news: not with wise words, for fear that the cross of Christ might be made of no value.
1:17 For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, (o. logos) lest the cross of Christ should be made of no effect.

1:18 ¡Û ½ÊÀÚ°¡ÀÇ µµ°¡ ¸ê¸ÁÇÏ´Â Àڵ鿡°Ô´Â ¹Ì·ÃÇÑ °ÍÀÌ¿ä ±¸¿øÀ» ¾ò´Â ¿ì¸®¿¡°Ô´Â Çϳª´ÔÀÇ ´É·ÂÀ̶ó
1:18 For the word of the cross seems foolish to those who are on the way to destruction; but to us who are on the way to salvation it is the power of God.
1:18 For the preaching (o. logos) of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.

1:19 As it says in the holy Writings, I will put an end to the wisdom of the wise, and will put on one side the designs of those who have knowledge.
1:19 For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.

1:20 ÁöÇý ÀÖ´Â ÀÚ°¡ ¾îµð ÀÖ´À´¢ ¼±ºñ°¡ ¾îµð ÀÖ´À´¢ ÀÌ ¼¼´ë¿¡ º¯»ç°¡ ¾îµð ÀÖ´À´¢ Çϳª´Ô²²¼­ ÀÌ ¼¼»óÀÇ ÁöÇý¸¦ ¹Ì·ÃÄÉ ÇϽŠ°ÍÀÌ ¾Æ´Ï´¢
1:20 Where is the wise? where is he who has knowledge of the law? where is the man of this world who has a love of discussion? has not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?
1:20 Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? has not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?

1:21 Çϳª´ÔÀÇ ÁöÇý¿¡ À־´Â ÀÌ ¼¼»óÀÌ ÀÚ±â ÁöÇý·Î Çϳª´ÔÀ» ¾ËÁö ¸øÇÏ´Â °í·Î Çϳª´Ô²²¼­ ÀüµµÀÇ ¹Ì·ÃÇÑ °ÍÀ¸·Î ¹Ï´Â ÀÚµéÀ» ±¸¿øÇϽñ⸦ ±â»µÇϼ̵µ´Ù
1:21 For because, by the purpose of God, the world, with all its wisdom, had not the knowledge of God, it was God's pleasure, by so foolish a thing as preaching, to give salvation to those who had faith in him.
1:21 For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.

1:22 Seeing that the Jews make request for signs, and the Greeks are looking for knowledge:
1:22 For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom:

1:23 ¿ì¸®´Â ½ÊÀÚ°¡¿¡ ¸ø ¹ÚÈù ±×¸®½ºµµ¸¦ ÀüÇÏ´Ï À¯´ëÀο¡°Ô´Â °Å¸®³¢´Â °ÍÀÌ¿ä À̹æÀο¡°Ô´Â ¹Ì·ÃÇÑ °ÍÀ̷εÇ
1:23 But we give the good news of Christ on the cross, a hard thing to the Jews, and a foolish thing to the Gentiles;
1:23 But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumbling block, and unto the Greeks foolishness;

1:24 ¿ÀÁ÷ ºÎ¸£½ÉÀ» ÀÔÀº Àڵ鿡°Ô´Â À¯´ëÀÎÀ̳ª Çï¶óÀÎÀ̳ª ±×¸®½ºµµ´Â Çϳª´ÔÀÇ ´É·ÂÀÌ¿ä Çϳª´ÔÀÇ ÁöÇý´Ï¶ó
1:24 But to those of God's selection, Jews and Greeks, Christ is the power and the wisdom of God.
1:24 But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.

1:25 Çϳª´ÔÀÇ ¹Ì·ÃÇÑ °ÍÀÌ »ç¶÷º¸´Ù ÁöÇý ÀÖ°í Çϳª´ÔÀÇ ¾àÇÑ °ÍÀÌ »ç¶÷º¸´Ù °­Çϴ϶ó
1:25 Because what seems foolish in God is wiser than men; and what seems feeble in God is stronger than men.
1:25 Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.

1:26 For you see God's design for you, my brothers, that he has not taken a great number of the wise after the flesh, not the strong, not the noble:
1:26 For all of you see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called:

1:27 But God made selection of the foolish things of this world so that he might put the wise to shame; and the feeble things that he might put to shame the strong;
1:27 But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God has chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;

1:28 And the low things of the world, and the things without honour, did God make selection of, yes, even the things which are not, so that he might make as nothing the things which are:
1:28 And base things of the world, and things which are despised, has God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nothing things that are:

1:30 But God has given you a place in Christ Jesus, through whom God has given us wisdom and righteousness and salvation, and made us holy:
1:30 But of him are all of you in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:

1:31 So that, as it is said in the holy Writings, Whoever has a desire for glory, let his glory be in the Lord.
1:31 That, according as it is written, He that glories, let him glory in the Lord.

2:1 ÇüÁ¦µé¾Æ ³»°¡ ³ÊÈñ¿¡°Ô ³ª¾Æ°¡ Çϳª´ÔÀÇ Áõ°Å¸¦ ÀüÇÒ ¶§¿¡ ¸»°ú ÁöÇýÀÇ ¾Æ¸§´Ù¿î °ÍÀ¸·Î ¾Æ´ÏÇÏ¿´³ª´Ï
2:1 And when I came to you, my brothers, I did not come with wise words of knowledge, putting before you the secret of God.
2:1 And I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellency of speech (o. logos) or of wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of God.

2:2 ³»°¡ ³ÊÈñ Áß¿¡¼­ ¿¹¼ö ±×¸®½ºµµ¿Í ±×ÀÇ ½ÊÀÚ°¡¿¡ ¸ø ¹ÚÈ÷½Å °Í ¿Ü¿¡´Â ¾Æ¹« °Íµµ ¾ËÁö ¾Æ´ÏÇϱâ·Î ÀÛÁ¤ÇÏ¿´À½À̶ó
2:2 For I had made the decision to have knowledge of nothing among you but only of Jesus Christ on the cross.
2:2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.

2:3 ³»°¡ ³ÊÈñ °¡¿îµ¥ °ÅÇÒ ¶§¿¡ ¾àÇÏ¸ç µÎ·Á¿öÇÏ¸ç ½ÉÈ÷ ¶³¾ú³ë¶ó
2:3 And I was with you without strength, in fear and in doubt.
2:3 And I was with you in weakness, and in fear, and in much trembling.

2:4 ³» ¸»°ú ³» ÀüµµÇÔÀÌ ÁöÇýÀÇ ±ÇÇÏ´Â ¸»·Î ÇÏÁö ¾Æ´ÏÇÏ°í ´Ù¸¸ ¼º·ÉÀÇ ³ªÅ¸³²°ú ´É·ÂÀ¸·Î ÇÏ¿©
2:4 And in my preaching there were no honeyed words of wisdom, but I was dependent on the power of the Spirit to make it clear to you:
2:4 And my speech (o. logos) and my preaching was not with enticing words (o. logos) of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit (o. pneuma) and of power:

2:5 ³ÊÈñ ¹ÏÀ½ÀÌ »ç¶÷ÀÇ ÁöÇý¿¡ ÀÖÁö ¾Æ´ÏÇÏ°í ´Ù¸¸ Çϳª´ÔÀÇ ´É·Â¿¡ ÀÖ°Ô ÇÏ·Á ÇÏ¿´³ë¶ó
2:5 So that your faith might be based not on man's wisdom but on the power of God.
2:5 That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.

2:6 ¡Û ±×·¯³ª ¿ì¸®°¡ ¿ÂÀüÇÑ ÀÚµé Áß¿¡¼­ ÁöÇý¸¦ ¸»Çϳë´Ï ÀÌ´Â ÀÌ ¼¼»óÀÇ ÁöÇý°¡ ¾Æ´Ï¿ä ¶Ç ÀÌ ¼¼»óÀÇ ¾ø¾îÁú °ü¿øÀÇ ÁöÇýµµ ¾Æ´Ï¿ä
2:6 But still we have wisdom for those who are complete in knowledge, though not the wisdom of this world, and not of the rulers of this world, who are coming to nothing:
2:6 Nevertheless we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nothing:

2:7 ¿ÀÁ÷ ºñ¹ÐÇÑ °¡¿îµ¥ ÀÖ´Â Çϳª´ÔÀÇ ÁöÇý¸¦ ¸»ÇÏ´Â °ÍÀÌ´Ï °ð °¨Ãë¾ú´ø °ÍÀε¥ Çϳª´ÔÀÌ ¿ì¸®ÀÇ ¿µ±¤À» À§ÇÏ»ç ¸¸¼¼ Àü¿¡ ¹Ì¸® Á¤ÇϽŠ°ÍÀ̶ó
2:7 But we give the news of the secret wisdom of God, which he had kept in store before the world came into existence, for our glory;
2:7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:

2:8 ÀÌ ÁöÇý´Â ÀÌ ¼¼´ëÀÇ °ü¿øÀÌ Çϳªµµ ¾ËÁö ¸øÇÏ¿´³ª´Ï ¸¸ÀÏ ¾Ë¾Ò´õ¸é ¿µ±¤ÀÇ ÁÖ¸¦ ½ÊÀÚ°¡¿¡ ¸ø ¹ÚÁö ¾Æ´ÏÇÏ¿´À¸¸®¶ó
2:8 Of which not one of the rulers of this world had knowledge: for if they had, they would not have put the Lord of glory on the cross:
2:8 Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.

2:9 But as it says in the holy Writings, Things which the eye saw not, and which had not come to the ears or into the heart of man, such things as God has made ready for those who have love for him.
2:9 But as it is written, Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God has prepared for them that love him.

2:12 But we have not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit which comes from God, so that we may have knowledge of the things which are freely given to us by God.

2:13 And these are the things which we say, not in the language of man's wisdom, but in words given to us by the Spirit, judging the things of the spirit by the help of the Spirit.

2:14 For the natural man is not able to take in the things of the Spirit of God: for they seem foolish to him, and he is not able to have knowledge of them, because such knowledge comes only through the Spirit.

3:1 And the teaching I gave you, my brothers, was such as I was able to give, not to those who have the Spirit, but to those who are still in the flesh, even to children in Christ.
3:1 And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ.

3:10 In the measure of the grace given to me, I, as a wise master-builder, have put the base in position, and another goes on building on it. But let every man take care what he puts on it.
3:10 According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise architect, I have laid the foundation, and another builds thereon. But let every man take heed how he builds thereupon.

3:13 Every man's work will be made clear in that day, because it will be tested by fire; and the fire itself will make clear the quality of every man's work.
3:13 Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.

3:18 Let no man have a false idea. If any man seems to himself to be wise among you, let him become foolish, so that he may be wise.

4:1 Let us be judged as servants of Christ, and as those who are responsible for the secret things of God.
4:1 Let a man so account of us, as of the ministers of Christ, and stewards of the mysteries of God.

4:2 And it is right for such servants to be safe persons.

4:3 But it is a small thing to me that I am judged by you or by man's judging; I am not even a judge of myself.

4:5 For this reason let there be no judging before the time, till the Lord comes, who will make clear the secret things of the dark, and the designs of the heart; and then will every man have his praise from God.
4:5 Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts: and then shall every man have praise of God.

4:6 My brothers, it is because of you that I have taken Apollos and myself as examples of these things, so that in us you might see that it is not wise to go farther than what is in the holy Writings, so that no one of you may be lifted up against his brother.
4:6 And these things, brethren, I have in a figure transferred to myself and to Apollos for your sakes; that all of you might learn in us not to think of men above that which is written, that no one of you be puffed up for one against another.

4:10 We are fools for Christ's sake, but all of you are wise in Christ; we are weak, but all of you are strong; all of you are honourable, but we are despised.

5:1 It is said, in fact, that there is among you a sin of the flesh, such as is not seen even among the Gentiles, that one of you has his father's wife.
5:1 It is reported commonly that there is fornication among you, and such fornication as is not so much as named among the Gentiles, that one should have his father's wife.

5:5 That this man is to be handed over to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, so that his spirit may have forgiveness in the day of the Lord Jesus.
5:5 To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit (o. pneuma) may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.

5:6 This pride of yours is not good. Do you not see that a little leaven makes a change in all the mass?
5:6 Your glorying is not good. Know all of you not that a little leaven leavens the whole lump?

5:7 Take away, then, the old leaven, so that you may be a new mass, even as you are without leaven. For Christ has been put to death as our Passover.
5:7 Purge out therefore the old leaven, that all of you may be a new lump, as all of you are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us:

5:11 But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or an extortionist; with such an one no not to eat.

6:1 How is it, that if any one of you has a cause at law against another, he takes it before a Gentile judge and not before the saints?
6:1 Dare any of you, having a matter against another, go to law before the unjust, and not before the saints?

6:5 I say this to put you to shame. Is there not among you one wise man who may be able to give a decision between his brothers?
6:5 I speak to your shame. Is it so, that there is not a wise man among you? no, not one that shall be able to judge between his brethren?

6:7 More than this, it is not to your credit to have causes at law with one another at all. Why not put up with wrong? why not undergo loss?
6:7 Now therefore there is utterly a fault among you, because all of you go to law one with another. Why do all of you not rather endure wrong? why do all of you not rather suffer yourselves to be defrauded?

6:9 Know all of you not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,

7:1 Now, as to the things in your letter to me: It is good for a man to have nothing to do with a woman.
7:1 Now concerning the things whereof all of you wrote unto me: It is good for a man not to touch a woman.

7:5 Do not keep back from one another what is right, but only for a short time, and by agreement, so that you may give yourselves to prayer, and come together again; so that Satan may not get the better of you through your loss of self-control.
7:5 Defraud all of you not one the other, except it be with consent for a time, that all of you may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again, that Satan tempt you not for your incontinency.

7:7 It is my desire that all men might be even as I am. But every man has the power of his special way of life given him by God, one in this way and one in that.
7:7 For I would that all men were even as I myself. But every man has his proper gift of God, one after this manner, and another after that.

7:12 But to the rest I say, and not the Lord; If a brother has a wife who is not a Christian, and it is her desire to go on living with him, let him not go away from her.
7:12 But to the rest speak I, not the Lord: If any brother has a wife that believes not, and she be pleased to dwell with him, let him not put her away.

7:14 For the husband who has not faith is made holy through his Christian wife, and the wife who is not a Christian is made holy through the brother: if not, your children would be unholy, but now are they holy.
7:14 For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband: else were your children unclean; but now are they holy.

7:15 But if the one who is not a Christian has a desire to go away, let it be so: the brother or the sister in such a position is not forced to do one thing or the other: but it is God's pleasure that we may be at peace with one another.
7:15 But if the unbelieving depart, let him depart. A brother or a sister is not under bondage in such cases: but God has called us to peace.

7:33 But he that is married cares for the things that are of the world, how he may please his wife.

7:34 And the wife is not the same as the virgin. The virgin gives her mind to the things of the Lord, so that she may be holy in body and in spirit: but the married woman takes thought for the things of the world, how she may give pleasure to her husband.
7:34 There is difference also between a wife and a virgin. The unmarried woman cares for the things of the Lord, that she may be holy both in body and in spirit: (o. pneuma) but she that is married cares for the things of the world, how she may please her husband.

7:35 Now I say this for your profit; not to make things hard for you, but because of what is right, and so that you may be able to give all your attention to the things of the Lord.
7:35 And this I speak for your own profit; not that I may cast a snare upon you, but for that which is comely, and that all of you may attend upon the Lord without distraction.

7:36 But if, in any man's opinion, he is not doing what is right for his virgin, if she is past her best years, and there is need for it, let him do what seems right to him; it is no sin; let them be married.
7:36 But if any man think that he behaves himself indecent toward his virgin, if she pass the flower of her age, and need so require, let him do what he will, he sins not: let them marry.

7:37 But the man who is strong in mind and purpose, who is not forced but has control over his desires, does well if he comes to the decision to keep her a virgin.
7:37 Nevertheless he that stands steadfast in his heart, having no necessity, but has power over his own will, and has so decreed in his heart that he will keep his virgin, does well.

7:38 So then, he who gets married to his virgin does well, and he who keeps her unmarried does better.
7:38 So then he that gives her in marriage does well; but he that gives her not in marriage does better.

7:39 It is right for a wife to be with her husband as long as he is living; but when her husband is dead, she is free to be married to another; but only to a Christian.
7:39 The wife is bound by the law as long as her husband lives; but if her husband be dead, she is at liberty to be married to whom she will; only in the Lord.

7:40 But it will be better for her to keep as she is, in my opinion: and it seems to me that I have the Spirit of God.
7:40 But she is happier if she so abide, after my judgment: and I think also that I have the Spirit (o. pneuma) of God.

8:1 Now about things offered to images: we all seem to ourselves to have knowledge. Knowledge gives pride, but love gives true strength.
8:1 Now as concerning things offered unto idols, we know that we all have knowledge. Knowledge puffs up, but love (o. agape) edifies.

8:2 ¸¸ÀÏ ´©±¸µçÁö ¹«¾ùÀ» ¾Æ´Â ÁÙ·Î »ý°¢ÇÏ¸é ¾ÆÁ÷µµ ¸¶¶¥È÷ ¾Ë °ÍÀ» ¾ËÁö ¸øÇÏ´Â °ÍÀÌ¿ä
8:2 If anyone seems to himself to have knowledge, so far he has not the right sort of knowledge about anything;
8:2 And if any man think that he knows any thing, he knows nothing yet as he ought to know.

8:3 But if anyone has love for God, God has knowledge of him.
8:3 But if any man love God, the same is known of him.

8:4 So, then, as to the question of taking food offered to images, we are certain that an image is nothing in the world, and that there is no God but one.
8:4 As concerning therefore the eating of those things that are offered in sacrifice unto idols, we know that an idol is nothing in the world, and that there is no other God but one.

8:5 For though there are those who have the name of gods, in heaven or on earth, as there are a number of gods and a number of lords,
8:5 For though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or in earth, (as there be gods many, and lords many,)

8:6 There is for us only one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we are for him; and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom are all things, and we have our being through him.
8:6 But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.

8:7 Still, all men have not that knowledge: but some, being used till now to the image, are conscious that they are taking food which has been offered to the image; and because they are not strong in the faith, their minds are troubled.
8:7 Nevertheless there is not in every man that knowledge: for some with conscience of the idol unto this hour eat it as a thing offered unto an idol; and their conscience being weak is defiled.

8:8 ½Ä¹°Àº ¿ì¸®¸¦ Çϳª´Ô ¾Õ¿¡ ¼¼¿ìÁö ¸øÇϳª´Ï ¿ì¸®°¡ ¸ÔÁö ¾Æ´ÏÇÏ¿©µµ ºÎÁ·ÇÔÀÌ ¾ø°í ¸Ô¾îµµ dzÁ·ÇÔÀÌ ¾øÀ¸¸®¶ó
8:8 But God's approval of us is not based on the food we take: if we do not take it we are no worse for it; and if we take it we are no better.
8:8 But food commends us not to God: for neither, if we eat, are we the better; neither, if we eat not, are we the worse.

8:9 But take care that this power of yours does not give cause for trouble to the feeble.
8:9 But take heed lest by any means this liberty of your's become a stumbling block to them that are weak.

8:10 Áö½Ä ÀÖ´Â ³×°¡ ¿ì»óÀÇ Áý¿¡ ¾É¾Æ ¸Ô´Â °ÍÀ» ´©±¸µçÁö º¸¸é ±× ¾àÇÑ ÀÚµéÀÇ ¾ç½ÉÀÌ ´ã·ÂÀ» ¾ò¾î ¾îÂî ¿ì»óÀÇ Á¦¹°À» ¸Ô°Ô µÇÁö ¾Ê°Ú´À³Ä
8:10 For if a man sees you, who have knowledge, taking food as a guest in the house of an image, will it not give him, if he is feeble, the idea that he may take food offered to images?
8:10 For if any man see you which have knowledge sit to eat in the idol's temple, shall not the conscience of him which is weak be emboldened to eat those things which are offered to idols;

8:11 And so, through your knowledge, you are the cause of destruction to your brother, for whom Christ underwent death.
8:11 And through your knowledge shall the weak brother perish, for whom Christ died?

8:12 ÀÌ°°ÀÌ ³ÊÈñ°¡ ÇüÁ¦¿¡°Ô Á˸¦ Áö¾î ±× ¾àÇÑ ¾ç½ÉÀ» »óÇÏ°Ô ÇÏ´Â °ÍÀÌ °ð ±×¸®½ºµµ¿¡°Ô Á˸¦ Áþ´Â °ÍÀ̴϶ó
8:12 And in this way, doing evil to the brothers, and causing trouble to those whose faith is feeble, you are sinning against Christ.
8:12 But when all of you sin so against the brethren, and wound their weak conscience, all of you sin against Christ.

8:13 For this reason, if food is a cause of trouble to my brother, I will give up taking meat for ever, so that I may not be a cause of trouble to my brother.
8:13 Wherefore, if food make my brother to offend, I will eat no flesh while the world stands, lest I make my brother to offend.
