1:1 하나님의 뜻을 따라 그리스도 예수의 사도로 부르심을 입은 바울과 및 형제

1:1 Paul, an Apostle of Jesus Christ by the purpose of God, and Sosthenes the brother,
1:1 Paul called to be an apostle of Jesus Christ through the will of God,
and Sosthenes our brother,
1:2 고린도에 있는 하나님의 교회 곧 그리스도 예수 안에서 거룩하여지고 성도라
부르심을 입은 자들과 또 각처에서 우리의 주 곧 저희와 우리의 주 되신 예수 그리스도의
이름을 부르는 모든 자들에게
1:2 To the church of God which is in Corinth, to those who have been made holy in Christ
Jesus, saints by the selection of God, with all those who in every place give honour
to the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, their Lord and ours:
1:2 Unto the church of God which is at Corinth, to them that are sanctified
in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all that in every place call upon
the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both their's and our's:
1:3 하나님 우리 아버지와 주 예수 그리스도로 좇아 은혜와 평강이 있기를 원하노라
1:3 Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
1:3 Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord
Jesus Christ.
1:4 ○ 그리스도 예수 안에서 너희에게 주신 하나님의 은혜를 인하여 내가 너희를
위하여 항상 하나님께 감사하노니
1:4 I give praise to my God for you at all times, because of the grace of God which
has been given to you in Christ Jesus;
1:4 I thank my God always on your behalf, for the grace of God which is given
you by Jesus Christ;
1:5 이는 너희가 그의 안에서 모든 일 곧 모든 구변과 모든 지식에 풍족하므로
1:5 So that in him you have wealth in all things, in word and in knowledge of every
sort;
1:5 That in every thing all of you are enriched by him, in all utterance,
(o. logos) and in all knowledge;
1:6 그리스도의 증거가 너희 중에 견고케 되어
1:6 Even as the witness of the Christ has been made certain among you:
1:6 Even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you:
1:7 너희가 모든 은사에 부족함이 없이 우리 주 예수 그리스도의 나타나심을 기다림이라
1:7 So that having every grace you are living in the hope of the revelation of our Lord
Jesus Christ;
1:7 So that all of you come behind in no gift; waiting for the coming of
our Lord Jesus Christ:
1:8 주께서 너희를 우리 주 예수 그리스도의 날에 책망할 것이 없는 자로 끝까지
견고케 하시리라
1:8 Who will give you strength to the end, to be free from all sin in the day of our
Lord Jesus Christ.
1:8 Who shall also confirm you unto the end, that all of you may be blameless
in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.
1:9 너희를 불러 그의 아들 예수 그리스도 우리 주로 더불어 교제케 하시는 하나님은
미쁘시도다
1:9 God is true, through whom you have been given a part with his Son, Jesus Christ
our Lord.
1:9 God is faithful, by whom all of you were called unto the fellowship of
his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.
1:10 ○ 형제들아 내가 우리 주 예수 그리스도의 이름으로 너희를 권하노니 다
같은 말을 하고 너희 가운데 분쟁이 없이 같은 마음과 같은 뜻으로 온전히 합하라
1:10 Now I make request to you, my brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that
you will all say the same thing, and that there may be no divisions among you, so
that you may be in complete agreement, in the same mind and in the same opinion.
1:10 Now I plead to you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ,
that all of you all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among
you; but that all of you be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in
the same judgment.
1:11 내 형제들아 글로에의 집 편으로서 너희에게 대한 말이 내게 들리니 곧 너희
가운데 분쟁이 있다는 것이라
1:11 Because it has come to my knowledge, through those of the house of Chloe, that there
are divisions among you, my brothers.
1:11 For it has been declared unto me of you, my brethren, by them which
are of the house of Chloe, that there are contentions among you.
1:12 이는 다름아니라 너희가 각각 이르되 나는 바울에게, 나는 아볼로에게, 나는
게바에게, 나는 그리스도에게 속한 자라 하는 것이니
1:12 That is, that some of you say, I am of Paul; some say, I am of Apollos; some say,
I am of Cephas; and some say, I am Christ's.
1:12 Now this I say, that every one of you says, I am of Paul; and I of Apollos;
and I of Cephas; and I of Christ.
1:13 그리스도께서 어찌 나뉘었느뇨 바울이 너희를 위하여 십자가에 못 박혔으며
바울의 이름으로 너희가 세례를 받았느뇨
1:13 Is there a division in Christ? was Paul nailed to the cross for you? or were you
given baptism in the name of Paul?
1:13 Is Christ divided? was Paul crucified for you? or were all of you baptized
in the name of Paul?
1:14 그리스보와 가이오 외에는 너희 중 아무에게도 내가 세례를 주지 아니한
것을 감사하노니
1:14 I give praise to God that not one of you had baptism from me, but Crispus and Gaius;
1:14 I thank God that I baptized none of you, but Crispus and Gaius;
1:15 이는 아무도 나의 이름으로 세례를 받았다 말하지 못하게 하려 함이라
1:15 So that no one may be able to say that you had baptism in my name.
1:15 Lest any should say that I had baptized in mine own name.
1:16 내가 또한 스데바나 집 사람에게 세례를 주었고 그 외에는 다른 아무에게
세례를 주었는지 알지 못하노라
1:16 And I gave baptism to the house of Stephanas; but I am not certain that any others
had baptism from me.
1:16 And I baptized also the household of Stephanas: besides, I know not
whether I baptized any other.
1:17 그리스도께서 나를 보내심은 세례를 주게 하려 하심이 아니요 오직 복음을
전케 하려 하심이니 말의 지혜로 하지 아니함은 그리스도의 십자가가 헛되지 않게
하려 함이라
1:17 For Christ sent me, not to give baptism, but to be a preacher of the good news:
not with wise words, for fear that the cross of Christ might be made of no value.
1:17 For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with
wisdom of words, (o. logos) lest the cross of Christ should be made of no effect.
1:18 ○ 십자가의 도가 멸망하는 자들에게는 미련한 것이요 구원을 얻는 우리에게는
하나님의 능력이라
1:18 For the word of the cross seems foolish to those who are on the way to destruction;
but to us who are on the way to salvation it is the power of God.
1:18 For the preaching (o. logos) of the cross is to them that perish foolishness;
but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.
1:19 기록된 바 내가 지혜 있는 자들의 지혜를 멸하고 총명한 자들의 총명을
폐하리라 하였으니
1:19 As it says in the holy Writings, I will put an end to the wisdom of the wise, and
will put on one side the designs of those who have knowledge.
1:19 For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring
to nothing the understanding of the prudent.
1:20 지혜 있는 자가 어디 있느뇨 선비가 어디 있느뇨 이 세대에 변사가 어디
있느뇨 하나님께서 이 세상의 지혜를 미련케 하신 것이 아니뇨
1:20 Where is the wise? where is he who has knowledge of the law? where is the man of
this world who has a love of discussion? has not God made foolish the wisdom of
this world?
1:20 Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this
world? has not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?
1:21 하나님의 지혜에 있어서는 이 세상이 자기 지혜로 하나님을 알지 못하는
고로 하나님께서 전도의 미련한 것으로 믿는 자들을 구원하시기를 기뻐하셨도다
1:21 For because, by the purpose of God, the world, with all its wisdom, had not the
knowledge of God, it was God's pleasure, by so foolish a thing as preaching, to
give salvation to those who had faith in him.
1:21 For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God,
it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.
1:22 유대인은 표적을 구하고 헬라인은 지혜를 찾으나
1:22 Seeing that the Jews make request for signs, and the Greeks are looking for knowledge:
1:22 For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom:
1:23 우리는 십자가에 못 박힌 그리스도를 전하니 유대인에게는 거리끼는 것이요
이방인에게는 미련한 것이로되
1:23 But we give the good news of Christ on the cross, a hard thing to the Jews, and
a foolish thing to the Gentiles;
1:23 But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumbling block, and
unto the Greeks foolishness;
1:24 오직 부르심을 입은 자들에게는 유대인이나 헬라인이나 그리스도는 하나님의
능력이요 하나님의 지혜니라
1:24 But to those of God's selection, Jews and Greeks, Christ is the power and the wisdom
of God.
1:24 But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power
of God, and the wisdom of God.
1:25 하나님의 미련한 것이 사람보다 지혜 있고 하나님의 약한 것이 사람보다 강하니라
1:25 Because what seems foolish in God is wiser than men; and what seems feeble in God
is stronger than men.
1:25 Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of
God is stronger than men.
1:26 ○ 형제들아 너희를 부르심을 보라 육체를 따라 지혜 있는 자가 많지 아니하며
능한 자가 많지 아니하며 문벌 좋은 자가 많지 아니하도다
1:26 For you see God's design for you, my brothers, that he has not taken a great number
of the wise after the flesh, not the strong, not the noble:
1:26 For all of you see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men
after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called:
1:27 그러나 하나님께서 세상의 미련한 것들을 택하사 지혜 있는 자들을 부끄럽게
하려 하시고 세상의 약한 것들을 택하사 강한 것들을 부끄럽게 하려 하시며
1:27 But God made selection of the foolish things of this world so that he might put
the wise to shame; and the feeble things that he might put to shame the strong;
1:27 But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise;
and God has chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which
are mighty;
1:28 하나님께서 세상의 천한 것들과 멸시 받는 것들과 없는 것들을 택하사 있는
것들을 폐하려 하시나니
1:28 And the low things of the world, and the things without honour, did God make selection
of, yes, even the things which are not, so that he might make as nothing the things
which are:
1:28 And base things of the world, and things which are despised, has God
chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nothing things that are:
1:29 이는 아무 육체라도 하나님 앞에서 자랑하지 못하게 하려 하심이라
1:29 So that no flesh might have glory before God.
1:29 That no flesh should glory in his presence.
1:30 너희는 하나님께로부터 나서 그리스도 예수 안에 있고 예수는 하나님께로서
나와서 우리에게 지혜와 의로움과 거룩함과 구속함이 되셨으니
1:30 But God has given you a place in Christ Jesus, through whom God has given us wisdom
and righteousness and salvation, and made us holy:
1:30 But of him are all of you in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us
wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:
1:31 기록된 바 자랑하는 자는 주 안에서 자랑하라 함과 같게 하려 함이니라
1:31 So that, as it is said in the holy Writings, Whoever has a desire for glory, let
his glory be in the Lord.
1:31 That, according as it is written, He that glories, let him glory in
the Lord.
2:1 형제들아 내가 너희에게 나아가 하나님의 증거를 전할 때에 말과 지혜의 아름다운
것으로 아니하였나니
2:1 And when I came to you, my brothers, I did not come with wise words of knowledge,
putting before you the secret of God.
2:1 And I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellency of speech
(o. logos) or of wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of God.
2:2 내가 너희 중에서 예수 그리스도와 그의 십자가에 못 박히신 것 외에는 아무
것도 알지 아니하기로 작정하였음이라
2:2 For I had made the decision to have knowledge of nothing among you but only of Jesus
Christ on the cross.
2:2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ,
and him crucified.
2:3 내가 너희 가운데 거할 때에 약하며 두려워하며 심히 떨었노라
2:3 And I was with you without strength, in fear and in doubt.
2:3 And I was with you in weakness, and in fear, and in much trembling.
2:4 내 말과 내 전도함이 지혜의 권하는 말로 하지 아니하고 다만 성령의 나타남과
능력으로 하여
2:4 And in my preaching there were no honeyed words of wisdom, but I was dependent on
the power of the Spirit to make it clear to you:
2:4 And my speech (o. logos) and my preaching was not with enticing words
(o. logos) of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit (o. pneuma) and
of power:
2:5 너희 믿음이 사람의 지혜에 있지 아니하고 다만 하나님의 능력에 있게 하려
하였노라
2:5 So that your faith might be based not on man's wisdom but on the power of God.
2:5 That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power
of God.
2:6 ○ 그러나 우리가 온전한 자들 중에서 지혜를 말하노니 이는 이 세상의 지혜가
아니요 또 이 세상의 없어질 관원의 지혜도 아니요
2:6 But still we have wisdom for those who are complete in knowledge, though not the
wisdom of this world, and not of the rulers of this world, who are coming to nothing:
2:6 Nevertheless we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the
wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nothing:
2:7 오직 비밀한 가운데 있는 하나님의 지혜를 말하는 것이니 곧 감취었던 것인데
하나님이 우리의 영광을 위하사 만세 전에 미리 정하신 것이라
2:7 But we give the news of the secret wisdom of God, which he had kept in store before
the world came into existence, for our glory;
2:7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom,
which God ordained before the world unto our glory:
2:8 이 지혜는 이 세대의 관원이 하나도 알지 못하였나니 만일 알았더면 영광의
주를 십자가에 못 박지 아니하였으리라
2:8 Of which not one of the rulers of this world had knowledge: for if they had, they
would not have put the Lord of glory on the cross:
2:8 Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it,
they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.
2:9 기록된 바 하나님이 자기를 사랑하는 자들을 위하여 예비하신 모든 것은 눈으로
보지 못하고 귀로도 듣지 못하고 사람의 마음으로도 생각지 못하였다 함과 같으니라
2:9 But as it says in the holy Writings, Things which the eye saw not, and which had
not come to the ears or into the heart of man, such things as God has made ready
for those who have love for him.
2:9 But as it is written, Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered
into the heart of man, the things which God has prepared for them that love
him.
2:10 오직 하나님이 성령으로 이것을 우리에게 보이셨으니 성령은 모든 것 곧
하나님의 깊은 것이라도 통달하시느니라
2:10 But God has given us the revelation of these things through his Spirit, for the
Spirit makes search into all things, even the deep things of God.
2:10 But God has revealed them unto us by his Spirit: (o. pneuma) for the
Spirit (o. pneuma) searches all things, yea, the deep things of God.
2:11 사람의 사정을 사람의 속에 있는 영 외에는 누가 알리요 이와 같이 하나님의
사정도 하나님의 영 외에는 아무도 알지 못하느니라
2:11 For who has knowledge of the things of a man but the spirit of the man which is
in him? in the same way, no one has knowledge of the things of God but the Spirit
of God.
2:11 For what man knows the things of a man, save the spirit (o. pneuma)
of man which is in him? even so the things of God knows no man, but the Spirit
(o. pneuma) of God.
2:12 우리가 세상의 영을 받지 아니하고 오직 하나님께로 온 영을 받았으니 이는
우리로 하여금 하나님께서 우리에게 은혜로 주신 것들을 알게 하려 하심이라
2:12 But we have not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit which comes from God, so
that we may have knowledge of the things which are freely given to us by God.
2:12 Now we have received, not the spirit (o. pneuma) of the world, but the
spirit (o. pneuma) which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely
given to us of God.
2:13 우리가 이것을 말하거니와 사람의 지혜의 가르친 말로 아니하고 오직 성령의
가르치신 것으로 하니 신령한 일은 신령한 것으로 분별하느니라
2:13 And these are the things which we say, not in the language of man's wisdom, but
in words given to us by the Spirit, judging the things of the spirit by the help
of the Spirit.
2:13 Which things also we speak, not in the words (o. logos) which man's
wisdom teaches, but which the Holy Spirit (o. pneuma) teaches; comparing spiritual
things with spiritual.
2:14 육에 속한 사람은 하나님의 성령의 일을 받지 아니하나니 저희에게는 미련하게
보임이요 또 깨닫지도 못하나니 이런 일은 영적으로라야 분변함이니라
2:14 For the natural man is not able to take in the things of the Spirit of God: for
they seem foolish to him, and he is not able to have knowledge of them, because
such knowledge comes only through the Spirit.
2:14 But the natural man receives not the things of the Spirit (o. pneuma)
of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because
they are spiritually discerned.
2:15 신령한 자는 모든 것을 판단하나 자기는 아무에게도 판단을 받지 아니하느니라
2:15 But he who has the Spirit, though judging all things, is himself judged by no one.
2:15 But he that is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is judged
of no man.
2:16 누가 주의 마음을 알아서 주를 가르치겠느냐 그러나 우리가 그리스도의 마음을
가졌느니라
2:16 For who has knowledge of the mind of the Lord, so as to be his teacher? But we have
the mind of Christ.
2:16 For who has known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But
we have the mind of Christ.
3:1 형제들아 내가 신령한 자들을 대함과 같이 너희에게 말할 수 없어서 육신에
속한 자 곧 그리스도 안에서 어린 아이들을 대함과 같이 하노라
3:1 And the teaching I gave you, my brothers, was such as I was able to give, not to
those who have the Spirit, but to those who are still in the flesh, even to children
in Christ.
3:1 And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto
carnal, even as unto babes in Christ.
3:2 내가 너희를 젖으로 먹이고 밥으로 아니하였노니 이는 너희가 감당치 못하였음이거니와
지금도 못하리라
3:2 I gave you milk and not meat, because you were, then, unable to take it, and even
now you are not able;
3:2 I have fed you with milk, and not with food: for until now all of you
were not able to bear it, neither yet now are all of you able.
3:3 너희가 아직도 육신에 속한 자로다 너희 가운데 시기와 분쟁이 있으니 어찌
육신에 속하여 사람을 따라 행함이 아니리요
3:3 Because you are still in the flesh: for when there is envy and division among you,
are you not still walking after the way of the flesh, even as natural men?
3:3 For all of you are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying,
and strife, and divisions, are all of you not carnal, and walk as men?
3:4 어떤 이는 말하되 나는 바울에게라 하고 다른 이는 나는 아볼로에게라 하니
너희가 사람이 아니리요
3:4 For when one says, I am of Paul; and another says, I am of Apollos; are you not
talking like natural men?
3:4 For while one says, I am of Paul; and another, I am of Apollos; are all
of you not carnal?
3:5 그런즉 아볼로는 무엇이며 바울은 무엇이뇨 저희는 주께서 각각 주신 대로
너희로 하여금 믿게 한 사역자들이니라
3:5 What then is Apollos? and what is Paul? They are but servants who gave you the good
news as God gave it to them.
3:5 Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers by whom all of you
believed, even as the Lord gave to every man?
3:6 나는 심었고 아볼로는 물을 주었으되 오직 하나님은 자라나게 하셨나니
3:6 I did the planting, Apollos did the watering, but God gave the increase.
3:6 I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.
3:7 그런즉 심는 이나 물 주는 이는 아무 것도 아니로되 오직 자라나게 하시는
하나님뿐이니라
3:7 So then the planter is nothing, and the waterer is nothing; but God who gives the
increase.
3:7 So then neither is he that plants any thing, neither he that waters;
but God that gives the increase.
3:8 심는 이와 물 주는 이가 일반이나 각각 자기의 일하는 대로 자기의 상을 받으리라
3:8 Now the planter and the waterer are working for the same end: but they will have
their separate rewards in the measure of their work.
3:8 Now he that plants and he that waters are one: and every man shall receive
his own reward according to his own labour.
3:9 우리는 하나님의 동역자들이요 너희는 하나님의 밭이요 하나님의 집이니라
3:9 For we are workers with God: you are God's planting, God's building.
3:9 For we are labourers together with God: all of you are God's farming,
all of you are God's building.
3:10 ○ 내게 주신 하나님의 은혜를 따라 내가 지혜로운 건축자와 같이 터를 닦아
두매 다른 이가 그 위에 세우나 그러나 각각 어떻게 그 위에 세우기를 조심할지니라
3:10 In the measure of the grace given to me, I, as a wise master-builder, have put the
base in position, and another goes on building on it. But let every man take care
what he puts on it.
3:10 According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise architect,
I have laid the foundation, and another builds thereon. But let every man take
heed how he builds thereupon.
3:11 이 닦아 둔 것 외에 능히 다른 터를 닦아 둘 자가 없으니 이 터는 곧 예수
그리스도라
3:11 For there is no other base for the building but that which has been put down, which
is Jesus Christ.
3:11 For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus
Christ.
3:12 만일 누구든지 금이나 은이나 보석이나 나무나 풀이나 짚으로 이 터 위에
세우면
3:12 But on the base a man may put gold, silver, stones of great price, wood, dry grass,
cut stems;
3:12 Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones,
wood, hay, stubble;
3:13 각각 공력이 나타날 터인데 그 날이 공력을 밝히리니 이는 불로 나타내고
그 불이 각 사람의 공력이 어떠한 것을 시험할 것임이니라
3:13 Every man's work will be made clear in that day, because it will be tested by fire;
and the fire itself will make clear the quality of every man's work.
3:13 Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it,
because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work
of what sort it is.
3:14 만일 누구든지 그 위에 세운 공력이 그대로 있으면 상을 받고
3:14 If any man's work comes through the test, he will have a reward.
3:14 If any man's work abide which he has built thereupon, he shall receive
a reward.
3:15 누구든지 공력이 불타면 해를 받으리니 그러나 자기는 구원을 얻되 불 가운데서
얻은 것 같으리라
3:15 If the fire puts an end to any man's work, it will be his loss: but he will get
salvation himself, though as by fire.
3:15 If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself
shall be saved; yet so as by fire.
3:16 ○ 너희가 하나님의 성전인 것과 하나님의 성령이 너희 안에 거하시는 것을
알지 못하느뇨
3:16 Do you not see that you are God's holy house, and that the Spirit of God has his
place in you?
3:16 Know all of you not that all of you are the temple of God, and that
the Spirit (o. pneuma) of God dwells in you?
3:17 누구든지 하나님의 성전을 더럽히면 하나님이 그 사람을 멸하시리라 하나님의
성전은 거룩하니 너희도 그러하니라
3:17 If anyone makes the house of God unclean, God will put an end to him; for the house
of God is holy, and you are his house.
3:17 If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the
temple of God is holy, which temple all of you are.
3:18 ○ 아무도 자기를 속이지 말라 너희 중에 누구든지 이 세상에서 지혜 있는
줄로 생각하거든 미련한 자가 되어라 그리하여야 지혜로운 자가 되리라
3:18 Let no man have a false idea. If any man seems to himself to be wise among you,
let him become foolish, so that he may be wise.
3:18 Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seems to be wise in
this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise.
3:19 이 세상 지혜는 하나님께 미련한 것이니 기록된 바 지혜 있는 자들로 하여금
자기 궤휼에 빠지게 하시는 이라 하였고
3:19 For the wisdom of this world is foolish before God. As it is said in the holy Writings,
He who takes the wise in their secret designs:
3:19 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written,
He takes the wise in their own craftiness.
3:20 또 주께서 지혜 있는 자들의 생각을 헛것으로 아신다 하셨느니라
3:20 And again, The Lord has knowledge of the reasonings of the wise, that they are nothing.

3:21 So let no one take pride in men. For all things are yours;

3:23 And you are Christ's; and Christ is God's.

4:1 사람이 마땅히 우리를 그리스도의 일군이요 하나님의 비밀을 맡은 자로 여길지어다
4:1 Let us be judged as servants of Christ, and as those who are responsible for the
secret things of God.
4:1 Let a man so account of us, as of the ministers of Christ, and stewards
of the mysteries of God.
4:2 그리고 맡은 자들에게 구할 것은 충성이니라
4:2 And it is right for such servants to be safe persons.
4:2 Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.
4:3 너희에게나 다른 사람에게나 판단 받는 것이 내게는 매우 작은 일이라 나도
나를 판단치 아니하노니
4:3 But it is a small thing to me that I am judged by you or by man's judging; I am
not even a judge of myself.
4:3 But with me it is a very small thing that I should be judged of you,
or of man's judgment: yea, I judge not mine own self.
4:4 내가 자책할 아무 것도 깨닫지 못하나 그러나 이를 인하여 의롭다 함을 얻지
못하노라 다만 나를 판단하실 이는 주시니라
4:4 For I am not conscious of any wrong in myself; but this does not make me clear,
for it is the Lord who is my judge.
4:4 For I know nothing by myself; yet am I not hereby justified: but he that
judges me is the Lord.
4:5 그러므로 때가 이르기 전 곧 주께서 오시기까지 아무 것도 판단치 말라 그가
어두움에 감추인 것들을 드러내고 마음의 뜻을 나타내시리니 그 때에 각 사람에게
하나님께로부터 칭찬이 있으리라
4:5 For this reason let there be no judging before the time, till the Lord comes, who
will make clear the secret things of the dark, and the designs of the heart; and
then will every man have his praise from God.
4:5 Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who both
will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the
counsels of the hearts: and then shall every man have praise of God.
4:6 ○ 형제들아 내가 너희를 위하여 이 일에 나와 아볼로를 가지고 본을 보였으니
이는 너희로 하여금 기록한 말씀 밖에 넘어가지 말라 한 것을 우리에게서 배워 서로
대적하여 교만한 마음을 먹지 말게 하려 함이라
4:6 My brothers, it is because of you that I have taken Apollos and myself as examples
of these things, so that in us you might see that it is not wise to go farther than
what is in the holy Writings, so that no one of you may be lifted up against his
brother.
4:6 And these things, brethren, I have in a figure transferred to myself
and to Apollos for your sakes; that all of you might learn in us not to think
of men above that which is written, that no one of you be puffed up for one
against another.
4:7 누가 너를 구별하였느뇨 네게 있는 것 중에 받지 아니한 것이 무엇이뇨 네가
받았은즉 어찌하여 받지 아니한 것 같이 자랑하느뇨
4:7 For who made you better than your brother? or what have you that has not been given
to you? but if it has been given to you, what cause have you for pride, as if it
had not been given to you?
4:7 For who makes you to differ from another? and what have you that you
did not receive? now if you did receive it, why do you glory, as if you had
not received it?
4:8 너희가 이미 배부르며 이미 부요하며 우리 없이 왕 노릇 하였도다 우리가 너희와
함께 왕 노릇 하기 위하여 참으로 너희의 왕 노릇 하기를 원하노라
4:8 For even now you are full, even now you have wealth, you have been made kings without
us: truly, I would be glad if you were kings, so that we might be kings with you.
4:8 Now all of you are full, now all of you are rich, all of you have reigned
as kings without us: and I would to God all of you did reign, that we also might
reign with you.
4:9 내가 생각건대 하나님이 사도인 우리를 죽이기로 작정한 자 같이 미말에 두셨으매
우리는 세계 곧 천사와 사람에게 구경거리가 되었노라
4:9 For it seems to me that God has put us the Apostles last of all, as men whose fate
is death: for we are put on view to the world, and to angels, and to men.
4:9 For I think that God has set forth us the apostles last, as it were appointed
to death: for we are made a spectacle unto the world, and to angels, and to
men.
4:10 우리는 그리스도의 연고로 미련하되 너희는 그리스도 안에서 지혜롭고 우리는
약하되 너희는 강하고 너희는 존귀하되 우리는 비천하여
4:10 We are made to seem foolish for Christ, but you are wise in Christ; we are feeble,
but you are strong; you have glory, but we have shame.
4:10 We are fools for Christ's sake, but all of you are wise in Christ; we
are weak, but all of you are strong; all of you are honourable, but we are despised.
4:11 바로 이 시간까지 우리가 주리고 목마르며 헐벗고 매맞으며 정처가 없고
4:11 Even to this hour we are without food, drink, and clothing, we are given blows and
have no certain resting-place;
4:11 Even unto this present hour we both hunger, and thirst, and are naked,
and are buffeted, and have no certain dwelling place;
4:12 또 수고하여 친히 손으로 일을 하며 후욕을 당한즉 축복하고 핍박을 당한즉

4:12 And with our hands we do the hardest work: when they give us curses we give blessings,
when we undergo punishment we take it quietly;
4:12 And labour, working with our own hands: being reviled, we bless; being
persecuted, we suffer it:
4:13 비방을 당한즉 권면하니 우리가 지금까지 세상의 더러운 것과 만물의 찌끼 같이 되었도다
4:13 When evil things are said about us we give gentle answers: we are made as the unclean
things of the world, as that for which no one has any use, even till now.
4:13 Being defamed, we implore: we are made as the filth of the world, and
are the waste of all things unto this day.
4:14 ○ 내가 너희를 부끄럽게 하려고 이것을 쓰는 것이 아니라 오직 너희를 내
사랑하는 자녀 같이 권하려 하는 것이라
4:14 I am not saying these things to put you to shame, but so that, as my dear children,
you may see what is right.
4:14 I write not these things to shame you, but as my beloved sons I warn
you.
4:15 그리스도 안에서 일만 스승이 있으되 아비는 많지 아니하니 그리스도 예수
안에서 복음으로써 내가 너희를 낳았음이라
4:15 For even if you had ten thousand teachers in Christ, you have not more than one
father: for in Christ Jesus I have given birth to you through the good news.
4:15 For though all of you have ten thousand instructors in Christ, yet have
all of you not many fathers: for in Christ Jesus I have begotten you through
the gospel.
4:16 그러므로 내가 너희에게 권하노니 너희는 나를 본받는 자 되라
4:16 So my desire is that you take me as your example.
4:16 Wherefore I plead to you, be all of you followers of me.
4:17 이를 인하여 내가 주 안에서 내 사랑하고 신실한 아들 디모데를 너희에게
보내었노니 저가 너희로 하여금 그리스도 예수 안에서 나의 행사 곧 내가 각처 교회에서
가르치는 것을 생각나게 하리라
4:17 For this cause I have sent Timothy to you, who is my dear and true child in the
Lord; he will make clear to you my ways in Christ, even as I am teaching everywhere
in every church.
4:17 For this cause have I sent unto you Timotheus, who is my beloved son,
and faithful in the Lord, who shall bring you into remembrance of my ways which
be in Christ, as I teach every where in every church.
4:18 어떤 이들은 내가 너희에게 나아가지 아니할 것 같이 스스로 교만하여졌으나
4:18 Now some are full of pride, as if I was not coming to you.
4:18 Now some are puffed up, as though I would not come to you.
4:19 그러나 주께서 허락하시면 내가 너희에게 속히 나아가서 교만한 자의 말을
알아볼 것이 아니라 오직 그 능력을 알아보겠노니
4:19 But I will come to you in a short time, if it is pleasing to the Lord, and I will
take note, not of the word of those who are full of pride, but of the power.
4:19 But I will come to you shortly, if the Lord will, and will know, not
the speech (o. logos) of them which are puffed up, but the power.
4:20 하나님의 나라는 말에 있지 아니하고 오직 능력에 있음이라
4:20 For the kingdom of God is not in word but in power.
4:20 For the kingdom of God is not in word, (o. logos) but in power.
4:21 너희가 무엇을 원하느냐 내가 매를 가지고 너희에게 나아가랴 사랑과 온유한
마음으로 나아가랴
4:21 What is your desire? is my coming to be with punishment, or is it to be in love
and a gentle spirit?
4:21 What will all of you? shall I come unto you with a rod, or in love,
(o. agape) and in the spirit (o. pneuma) of meekness?
5:1 너희 중에 심지어 음행이 있다 함을 들으니 이런 음행은 이방인 중에라도
없는 것이라 누가 그 아비의 아내를 취하였다 하는도다
5:1 It is said, in fact, that there is among you a sin of the flesh, such as is not
seen even among the Gentiles, that one of you has his father's wife.
5:1 It is reported commonly that there is fornication among you, and such
fornication as is not so much as named among the Gentiles, that one should have
his father's wife.
5:2 그리하고도 너희가 오히려 교만하여져서 어찌하여 통한히 여기지 아니하고
그 일 행한 자를 너희 중에서 물리치지 아니하였느냐
5:2 And in place of feeling sorrow, you are pleased with yourselves, so that he who
has done this thing has not been sent away from among you.
5:2 And all of you are puffed up, and have not rather mourned, that he that
has done this deed might be taken away from among you.
5:3 내가 실로 몸으로는 떠나 있으나 영으로는 함께 있어서 거기 있는 것 같이
이 일 행한 자를 이미 판단하였노라
5:3 For I myself, being present in spirit though not in body, have come to a decision
about him who has done this thing;
5:3 For I verily, as absent in body, but present in spirit, (o. pneuma) have
judged already, as though I were present, concerning him that has so done this
deed,
5:4 주 예수의 이름으로 너희가 내 영과 함께 모여서 우리 주 예수의 능력으로
5:4 In the name of our Lord Jesus, when you have come together with my spirit, with
the power of our Lord Jesus,
5:4 In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when all of you are gathered together,
and my spirit, (o. pneuma) with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ,
5:5 이런 자를 사단에게 내어주었으니 이는 육신은 멸하고 영은 주 예수의 날에
구원 얻게 하려 함이라
5:5 That this man is to be handed over to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, so
that his spirit may have forgiveness in the day of the Lord Jesus.
5:5 To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that
the spirit (o. pneuma) may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.
5:6 너희의 자랑하는 것이 옳지 아니하도다 적은 누룩이 온 덩어리에 퍼지는 것을
알지 못하느냐
5:6 This pride of yours is not good. Do you not see that a little leaven makes a change
in all the mass?
5:6 Your glorying is not good. Know all of you not that a little leaven leavens
the whole lump?
5:7 너희는 누룩 없는 자인데 새 덩어리가 되기 위하여 묵은 누룩을 내어버리라
우리의 유월절 양 곧 그리스도께서 희생이 되셨느니라
5:7 Take away, then, the old leaven, so that you may be a new mass, even as you are
without leaven. For Christ has been put to death as our Passover.
5:7 Purge out therefore the old leaven, that all of you may be a new lump,
as all of you are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for
us:
5:8 이러므로 우리가 명절을 지키되 묵은 누룩도 말고 괴악하고 악독한 누룩도
말고 오직 순전함과 진실함의 누룩 없는 떡으로 하자
5:8 Let us then keep the feast, not with old leaven, and not with the leaven of evil
thoughts and acts, but with the unleavened bread of true thoughts and right feelings.
5:8 Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the
leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity
and truth.
5:9 ○ 내가 너희에게 쓴 것에 음행하는 자들을 사귀지 말라 하였거니와
5:9 In my letter I said to you that you were not to keep company with those who go after
the desires of the flesh;
5:9 I wrote unto you in an epistle not to company with fornicators:
5:10 이 말은 이 세상의 음행하는 자들이나 탐하는 자들과 토색하는 자들이나
우상 숭배하는 자들을 도무지 사귀지 말라 하는 것이 아니니 만일 그리하려면 세상
밖으로 나가야 할 것이라
5:10 But I had not in mind the sinners who are outside the church, or those who have
a desire for and take the property of others, or those who give worship to images;
for it is not possible to keep away from such people without going out of the world
completely:
5:10 Yet not altogether with the fornicators of this world, or with the covetous,
or extortionists, or with idolaters; for then must all of you essentially go
out of the world.
5:11 이제 내가 너희에게 쓴 것은 만일 어떤 형제라 일컫는 자가 음행하거나 탐람하거나
우상 숭배를 하거나 후욕하거나 술 취하거나 토색하거든 사귀지도 말고 그런 자와는
함께 먹지도 말라 함이라
5:11 But the sense of my letter was that if a brother had the name of being one who went
after the desires of the flesh, or had the desire for other people's property, or
was in the way of using violent language, or being the worse for drink, or took
by force what was not his, you might not keep company with such a one, or take food
with him.
5:11 But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that
is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler,
or a drunkard, or an extortionist; with such an one no not to eat.
5:12 외인들을 판단하는데 내게 무슨 상관이 있으리요마는 교중 사람들이야 너희가
판단치 아니하랴
5:12 For it is no business of mine to be judging those who are outside; but it is yours
to be judging those who are among you;
5:12 For what have I to do to judge them also that are without? do not all
of you judge them that are within?
5:13 외인들은 하나님이 판단하시려니와 이 악한 사람은 너희 중에서 내어쫓으라
5:13 As for those who are outside, God is their judge. So put away the evil man from
among you.
5:13 But them that are without God judges. Therefore put away from among
yourselves that wicked person.
6:1 너희 중에 누가 다른 이로 더불어 일이 있는데 구태여 불의한 자들 앞에서
송사하고 성도 앞에서 하지 아니하느냐
6:1 How is it, that if any one of you has a cause at law against another, he takes it
before a Gentile judge and not before the saints?
6:1 Dare any of you, having a matter against another, go to law before the
unjust, and not before the saints?
6:2 성도가 세상을 판단할 것을 너희가 알지 못하느냐 세상도 너희에게 판단을
받겠거든 지극히 작은 일 판단하기를 감당치 못하겠느냐
6:2 Is it not certain that the saints will be the judges of the world? if then the world
will be judged by you, are you unable to give a decision about the smallest things?
6:2 Do all of you not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if
the world shall be judged by you, are all of you unworthy to judge the smallest
matters?
6:3 우리가 천사를 판단할 것을 너희가 알지 못하느냐 그러하거든 하물며 세상
일이랴
6:3 Is it not certain that we are to be the judges of angels? how much more then of
the things of this life?
6:3 Know all of you not that we shall judge angels? how much more things
that pertain to this life?
6:4 그런즉 너희가 세상 사건이 있을 때에 교회에서 경히 여김을 받는 자들을
세우느냐
6:4 If then there are questions to be judged in connection with the things of this life,
why do you put them in the hands of those who have no position in the church?
6:4 If then all of you have judgments of things pertaining to this life,
set them to judge who are least esteemed in the church.
6:5 내가 너희를 부끄럽게 하려 하여 이 말을 하노니 너희 가운데 그 형제간 일을
판단할 만한 지혜 있는 자가 이같이 하나도 없느냐
6:5 I say this to put you to shame. Is there not among you one wise man who may be able
to give a decision between his brothers?
6:5 I speak to your shame. Is it so, that there is not a wise man among you?
no, not one that shall be able to judge between his brethren?
6:6 형제가 형제로 더불어 송사할 뿐더러 믿지 아니하는 자들 앞에서 하느냐
6:6 But a brother who has a cause at law against another takes it before Gentile judges.
6:6 But brother goes to law with brother, and that before the unbelievers.
6:7 너희가 피차 송사함으로 너희 가운데 이미 완연한 허물이 있나니 차라리 불의를
당하는 것이 낫지 아니하며 차라리 속는 것이 낫지 아니하냐
6:7 More than this, it is not to your credit to have causes at law with one another
at all. Why not put up with wrong? why not undergo loss?
6:7 Now therefore there is utterly a fault among you, because all of you
go to law one with another. Why do all of you not rather endure wrong? why do
all of you not rather suffer yourselves to be defrauded?
6:8 너희는 불의를 행하고 속이는구나 저는 너희 형제로다
6:8 So far from doing this, you yourselves do wrong and take your brothers' property.
6:8 Nay, all of you do wrong, and defraud, and that your brethren.
6:9 불의한 자가 하나님의 나라를 유업으로 받지 못할 줄을 알지 못하느냐 미혹을
받지 말라 음란하는 자나 우상 숭배하는 자나 간음하는 자나 탐색하는 자나 남색하는
자나
6:9 Have you not knowledge that evil-doers will have no part in the kingdom of God?
Have no false ideas about this: no one who goes after the desires of the flesh,
or gives worship to images, or is untrue when married, or is less than a man, or
makes a wrong use of men,
6:9 Know all of you not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom
of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers,
nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,
6:10 도적이나 탐람하는 자나 술 취하는 자나 후욕하는 자나 토색하는 자들은
하나님의 나라를 유업으로 받지 못하리라
6:10 Or is a thief, or the worse for drink, or makes use of strong language, or takes
by force what is not his, will have any part in the kingdom of God.
6:10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortionists,
shall inherit the kingdom of God.
6:11 너희 중에 이와 같은 자들이 있더니 주 예수 그리스도의 이름과 우리 하나님의
성령 안에서 씻음과 거룩함과 의롭다 하심을 얻었느니라
6:11 And such were some of you; but you have been washed, you have been made holy, you
have been given righteousness in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit
of our God.
6:11 And such were some of you: but all of you are washed, but all of you
are sanctified, but all of you are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus,
and by the Spirit (o. pneuma) of our God.
6:12 ○ 모든 것이 내게 가하나 다 유익한 것이 아니요 모든 것이 내게 가하나
내가 아무에게든지 제재를 받지 아니하리라
6:12 I am free to do all things; but not all things are wise. I am free to do all things;
but I will not let myself come under the power of any.
6:12 All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient: all
things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any.
6:13 식물은 배를 위하고 배는 식물을 위하나 하나님이 이것 저것 다 폐하시리라
몸은 음란을 위하지 않고 오직 주를 위하며 주는 몸을 위하시느니라
6:13 Food is for the stomach and the stomach for food, and God will put an end to them
together. But the body is not for the desires of the flesh, but for the Lord; and
the Lord for the body:
6:13 Meats for the belly, and the belly for meats: but God shall destroy
both it and them. Now the body is not for fornication, but for the Lord; and
the Lord for the body.
6:14 하나님이 주를 다시 살리셨고 또한 그의 권능으로 우리를 다시 살리시리라
6:14 And God who made the Lord Jesus come back from the dead will do the same for us
by his power.
6:14 And God has both raised up the Lord, and will also raise up us by his
own power.
6:15 너희 몸이 그리스도의 지체인 줄을 알지 못하느냐 내가 그리스도의 지체를
가지고 창기의 지체를 만들겠느냐 결코 그럴 수 없느니라
6:15 Do you not see that your bodies are part of the body of Christ? how then may I take
what is a part of the body of Christ and make it a part of the body of a loose woman?
such a thing may not be.
6:15 Know all of you not that your bodies are the members of Christ? shall
I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot? God
forbid.
6:16 창기와 합하는 자는 저와 한 몸인 줄을 알지 못하느냐 일렀으되 둘이 한
육체가 된다 하셨나니
6:16 Or do you not see that he who is joined to a loose woman is one body with her? for
God has said, The two of them will become one flesh.
6:16 What? know all of you not that he which is joined to an harlot is one
body? for two, says he, shall be one flesh.
6:17 주와 합하는 자는 한 영이니라
6:17 But he who is united to the Lord is one spirit.
6:17 But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit. (o. pneuma)
6:18 음행을 피하라 사람이 범하는 죄마다 몸 밖에 있거니와 음행하는 자는 자기
몸에게 죄를 범하느니라
6:18 Keep away from the desires of the flesh. Every sin which a man does is outside of
the body; but he who goes after the desires of the flesh does evil to his body.
6:18 Flee fornication. Every sin that a man does is without the body; but
he that commits fornication sins against his own body.
6:19 너희 몸은 너희가 하나님께로부터 받은 바 너희 가운데 계신 성령의 전인
줄을 알지 못하느냐 너희는 너희의 것이 아니라
6:19 Or are you not conscious that your body is a house for the Holy Spirit which is
in you, and which has been given to you by God? and you are not the owners of yourselves;
6:19 What? know all of you not that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit
(o. pneuma) which is in you, which all of you have of God, and all of you are
not your own?
6:20 값으로 산 것이 되었으니 그런즉 너희 몸으로 하나님께 영광을 돌리라
6:20 For a payment has been made for you: let God be honoured in your body.
6:20 For all of you are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your
body, and in your spirit, (o. pneuma) which are God's.
7:1 너희의 쓴 말에 대하여는 남자가 여자를 가까이 아니함이 좋으나
7:1 Now, as to the things in your letter to me: It is good for a man to have nothing
to do with a woman.
7:1 Now concerning the things whereof all of you wrote unto me: It is good
for a man not to touch a woman.
7:2 음행의 연고로 남자마다 자기 아내를 두고 여자마다 자기 남편을 두라
7:2 But because of the desires of the flesh, let every man have his wife, and every
woman her husband.
7:2 Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife,
and let every woman have her own husband.
7:3 남편은 그 아내에게 대한 의무를 다하고 아내도 그 남편에게 그렇게 할지라
7:3 Let the husband give to the wife what is right; and let the wife do the same to
the husband.
7:3 Let the husband render unto the wife due benevolence: and likewise also
the wife unto the husband.
7:4 아내가 자기 몸을 주장하지 못하고 오직 그 남편이 하며 남편도 이와 같이
자기 몸을 주장하지 못하고 오직 그 아내가 하나니
7:4 The wife has not power over her body, but the husband; and in the same way the husband
has not power over his body, but the wife.
7:4 The wife has not power of her own body, but the husband: and likewise
also the husband has not power of his own body, but the wife.
7:5 서로 분방하지 말라 다만 기도할 틈을 얻기 위하여 합의상 얼마 동안은 하되
다시 합하라 이는 너희의 절제 못함을 인하여 사단으로 너희를 시험하지 못하게 하려
함이라
7:5 Do not keep back from one another what is right, but only for a short time, and
by agreement, so that you may give yourselves to prayer, and come together again;
so that Satan may not get the better of you through your loss of self-control.
7:5 Defraud all of you not one the other, except it be with consent for a
time, that all of you may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together
again, that Satan tempt you not for your incontinency.
7:6 그러나 내가 이 말을 함은 권도요 명령은 아니라
7:6 But this I say as my opinion, and not as an order of the Lord.
7:6 But I speak this by permission, and not of commandment.
7:7 나는 모든 사람이 나와 같기를 원하노라 그러나 각각 하나님께 받은 자기의
은사가 있으니 하나는 이러하고 하나는 저러하니라
7:7 It is my desire that all men might be even as I am. But every man has the power
of his special way of life given him by God, one in this way and one in that.
7:7 For I would that all men were even as I myself. But every man has his
proper gift of God, one after this manner, and another after that.
7:8 ○ 내가 혼인하지 아니한 자들과 및 과부들에게 이르노니 나와 같이 그냥
지내는 것이 좋으니라
7:8 But I say to the unmarried and to the widows, It is good for them to be even as
I am.
7:8 I say therefore to the unmarried and widows, It is good for them if they
abide even as I.
7:9 만일 절제할 수 없거든 혼인하라 정욕이 불 같이 타는 것보다 혼인하는 것이
나으니라
7:9 But if they have not self-control let them get married; for married life is better
than the burning of desire.
7:9 But if they cannot contain, let them marry: for it is better to marry
than to burn.
7:10 혼인한 자들에게 내가 명하노니 {명하는 자는 내가 아니요 주시라} 여자는
남편에게서 갈리지 말고
7:10 But to the married I give orders, though not I but the Lord, that the wife may not
go away from her husband
7:10 And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the
wife depart from her husband:
7:11 {만일 갈릴지라도 그냥 지내든지 다시 그 남편과 화합하든지 하라} 남편도
아내를 버리지 말라
7:11 (Or if she goes away from him, let her keep unmarried, or be united to her husband
again); and that the husband may not go away from his wife.
7:11 But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried or be reconciled to
her husband: and let not the husband put away his wife.
7:12 그 남은 사람들에게 내가 말하노니 {이는 주의 명령이 아니라} 만일 어떤
형제에게 믿지 아니하는 아내가 있어 남편과 함께 살기를 좋아하거든 저를 버리지
말며
7:12 But to the rest I say, and not the Lord; If a brother has a wife who is not a Christian,
and it is her desire to go on living with him, let him not go away from her.
7:12 But to the rest speak I, not the Lord: If any brother has a wife that
believes not, and she be pleased to dwell with him, let him not put her away.
7:13 어떤 여자에게 믿지 아니하는 남편이 있어 아내와 함께 살기를 좋아하거든
그 남편을 버리지 말라
7:13 And if a woman has a husband who is not a Christian, and it is his desire to go
on living with her, let her not go away from her husband.
7:13 And the woman which has an husband that believes not, and if he be pleased
to dwell with her, let her not leave him.
7:14 믿지 아니하는 남편이 아내로 인하여 거룩하게 되고 믿지 아니하는 아내가
남편으로 인하여 거룩하게 되나니 그렇지 아니하면 너희 자녀도 깨끗지 못하니라
그러나 이제 거룩하니라
7:14 For the husband who has not faith is made holy through his Christian wife, and the
wife who is not a Christian is made holy through the brother: if not, your children
would be unholy, but now are they holy.
7:14 For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving
wife is sanctified by the husband: else were your children unclean; but now
are they holy.
7:15 혹 믿지 아니하는 자가 갈리거든 갈리게 하라 형제나 자매나 이런 일에 구속
받을 것이 없느니라 그러나 하나님은 화평 중에서 너희를 부르셨느니라
7:15 But if the one who is not a Christian has a desire to go away, let it be so: the
brother or the sister in such a position is not forced to do one thing or the other:
but it is God's pleasure that we may be at peace with one another.
7:15 But if the unbelieving depart, let him depart. A brother or a sister
is not under bondage in such cases: but God has called us to peace.
7:16 아내 된 자여 네가 남편을 구원할는지 어찌 알 수 있으며 남편 된 자여 네가
네 아내를 구원할는지 어찌 알 수 있으리요
7:16 For how may you be certain, O wife, that you will not be the cause of salvation
to your husband? or you, O husband, that you may not do the same for your wife?
7:16 For what know you, O wife, whether you shall save your husband? or how
know you, O man, whether you shall save your wife?
7:17 오직 주께서 각 사람에게 나눠 주신 대로 하나님이 각 사람을 부르신 그대로
행하라 내가 모든 교회에서 이와 같이 명하노라
7:17 Only, as the Lord has given to a man, and as is the purpose of God for him, so let
him go on living. And these are my orders for all the churches.
7:17 But as God has distributed to every man, as the Lord has called every
one, so let him walk. And so ordain I in all churches.
7:18 할례자로 부르심을 받은 자가 있느냐 무할례자가 되지 말며 무할례자로 부르심을
받은 자가 있느냐 할례를 받지 말라
7:18 If any man who is a Christian has had circumcision, let him keep so; and if any
man who is a Christian has not had circumcision, let him make no change.
7:18 Is any man called being circumcised? let him not become uncircumcised.
Is any called in uncircumcision? let him not be circumcised.
7:19 할례 받는 것도 아무 것도 아니요 할례 받지 아니하는 것도 아무 것도 아니로되
오직 하나님의 계명을 지킬 따름이니라
7:19 Circumcision is nothing, and its opposite is nothing, but only doing the orders
of God is of value.
7:19 Circumcision is nothing, and uncircumcision is nothing, but the keeping
of the commandments of God.
7:20 각 사람이 부르심을 받은 그 부르심 그대로 지내라
7:20 Let every man keep the position in which he has been placed by God.
7:20 Let every man abide in the same calling wherein he was called.
7:21 네가 종으로 있을 때에 부르심을 받았느냐 염려하지 말라 그러나 자유할
수 있거든 차라리 사용하라
7:21 If you were a servant when you became a Christian, let it not be a grief to you;
but if you have a chance to become free, make use of it.
7:21 Are you called being a servant? care not for it: but if you may be made
free, use it rather.
7:22 주 안에서 부르심을 받은 자는 종이라도 주께 속한 자유자요 또 이와 같이
자유자로 있을 때에 부르심을 받은 자는 그리스도의 종이니라
7:22 For he who was a servant when he became a Christian is the Lord's free man; and
he who was free when he became a Christian is the Lord's servant.
7:22 For he that is called in the Lord, being a servant, is the Lord's freeman:
likewise also he that is called, being free, is Christ's servant.
7:23 너희는 값으로 사신 것이니 사람들의 종이 되지 말라
7:23 It is the Lord who has made payment for you: be not servants of men.
7:23 All of you are bought with a price; be not all of you the servants of
men.
7:24 형제들아 각각 부르심을 받은 그대로 하나님과 함께 거하라
7:24 My brothers, let every man keep in that condition which is the purpose of God for
him.
7:24 Brethren, let every man, wherein he is called, therein abide with God.
7:25 ○ 처녀에 대하여는 내가 주께 받은 계명이 없으되 주의 자비하심을 받아서
충성된 자가 되어 의견을 고하노니
7:25 Now about virgins I have no orders from the Lord: but I give my opinion as one to
whom the Lord has given mercy to be true to him.
7:25 Now concerning virgins I have no commandment of the Lord: yet I give
my judgment, as one that has obtained mercy of the Lord to be faithful.
7:26 내 생각에는 이것이 좋으니 곧 임박한 환난을 인하여 사람이 그냥 지내는
것이 좋으니라
7:26 In my opinion then, because of the present trouble, it is good for a man to keep
as he is.
7:26 I suppose therefore that this is good for the present distress, I say,
that it is good for a man so to be.
7:27 네가 아내에게 매였느냐 놓이기를 구하지 말며 아내에게서 놓였느냐 아내를
구하지 말라
7:27 If you are married to a wife, make no attempt to get free from her: if you are free
from a wife, do not take a wife.
7:27 Are you bound unto a wife? seek not to be loosed. Are you loosed from
a wife? seek not a wife.
7:28 그러나 장가 가도 죄 짓는 것이 아니요 처녀가 시집 가도 죄 짓는 것이 아니로되
이런 이들은 육신에 고난이 있으리니 나는 너희를 아끼노라
7:28 If you get married it is not a sin; and if an unmarried woman gets married it is
not a sin. But those who do so will have trouble in the flesh. But I will not be
hard on you.
7:28 But and if you marry, you have not sinned; and if a virgin marry, she
has not sinned. Nevertheless such shall have trouble in the flesh: but I spare
you.
7:29 형제들아 내가 이 말을 하노니 때가 단축하여진 고로 이후부터 아내 있는
자들은 없는 자 같이 하며
7:29 But I say this, my brothers, the time is short; and from now it will be wise for
those who have wives to be as if they had them not;
7:29 But this I say, brethren, the time is short: it remains, that both they
that have wives be as though they had none;
7:30 우는 자들은 울지 않는 자 같이 하며 기쁜 자들은 기쁘지 않은 자 같이 하며
매매하는 자들은 없는 자 같이 하며
7:30 And for those who are in sorrow, to give no signs of it; and for those who are glad,
to give no signs of joy; and for those who are getting property, to be as if they
had nothing;
7:30 And they that weep, as though they wept not; and they that rejoice,
as though they rejoiced not; and they that buy, as though they possessed not;
7:31 세상 물건을 쓰는 자들은 다 쓰지 못하는 자 같이 하라 이 세상의 형적은
지나감이니라
7:31 And for those who make use of the world, not to be using it fully; for this world's
way of life will quickly come to an end.
7:31 And they that use this world, as not abusing it: for the fashion of
this world passes away.
7:32 너희가 염려 없기를 원하노라 장가 가지 않은 자는 주의 일을 염려하여 어찌하여야
주를 기쁘시게 할꼬 하되
7:32 But it is my desire for you to be free from cares. The unmarried man gives his mind
to the things of the Lord, how he may give pleasure to the Lord:
7:32 But I would have you without carefulness. He that is unmarried cares
for the things that belong to the Lord, how he may please the Lord:
7:33 장가 간 자는 세상 일을 염려하여 어찌하여야 아내를 기쁘게 할꼬 하여 마음이
나누이며
7:33 But the married man gives his attention to the things of this world, how he may
give pleasure to his wife.
7:33 But he that is married cares for the things that are of the world, how
he may please his wife.
7:34 시집 가지 않은 자와 처녀는 주의 일을 염려하여 몸과 영을 다 거룩하게
하려 하되 시집 간 자는 세상 일을 염려하여 어찌하여야 남편을 기쁘게 할꼬 하느니라
7:34 And the wife is not the same as the virgin. The virgin gives her mind to the things
of the Lord, so that she may be holy in body and in spirit: but the married woman
takes thought for the things of the world, how she may give pleasure to her husband.
7:34 There is difference also between a wife and a virgin. The unmarried
woman cares for the things of the Lord, that she may be holy both in body and
in spirit: (o. pneuma) but she that is married cares for the things of the world,
how she may please her husband.
7:35 내가 이것을 말함은 너희의 유익을 위함이요 너희에게 올무를 놓으려 함이
아니니 오직 너희로 하여금 이치에 합하게 하여 분요함이 없이 주를 섬기게 하려
함이라
7:35 Now I say this for your profit; not to make things hard for you, but because of
what is right, and so that you may be able to give all your attention to the things
of the Lord.
7:35 And this I speak for your own profit; not that I may cast a snare upon
you, but for that which is comely, and that all of you may attend upon the Lord
without distraction.
7:36 누가 자기의 처녀 딸에 대한 일이 이치에 합당치 못한 줄로 생각할 때에
혼기도 지나고 그 같이 할 필요가 있거든 마음대로 하라 이것은 죄 짓는 것이 아니니
혼인하게 하라
7:36 But if, in any man's opinion, he is not doing what is right for his virgin, if she
is past her best years, and there is need for it, let him do what seems right to
him; it is no sin; let them be married.
7:36 But if any man think that he behaves himself indecent toward his virgin,
if she pass the flower of her age, and need so require, let him do what he will,
he sins not: let them marry.
7:37 그러나 그 마음을 굳게 하고 또 부득이한 일도 없고 자기 뜻대로 할 권리가
있어서 그 처녀 딸을 머물러 두기로 마음에 작정하여도 잘하는 것이니라
7:37 But the man who is strong in mind and purpose, who is not forced but has control
over his desires, does well if he comes to the decision to keep her a virgin.
7:37 Nevertheless he that stands steadfast in his heart, having no necessity,
but has power over his own will, and has so decreed in his heart that he will
keep his virgin, does well.
7:38 그러므로 처녀 딸을 시집 보내는 자도 잘하거니와 시집 보내지 아니하는
자가 더 잘하는 것이니라
7:38 So then, he who gets married to his virgin does well, and he who keeps her unmarried
does better.
7:38 So then he that gives her in marriage does well; but he that gives her
not in marriage does better.
7:39 아내가 그 남편이 살 동안에 매여 있다가 남편이 죽으면 자유하여 자기 뜻대로
시집 갈 것이나 주 안에서만 할 것이니라
7:39 It is right for a wife to be with her husband as long as he is living; but when
her husband is dead, she is free to be married to another; but only to a Christian.
7:39 The wife is bound by the law as long as her husband lives; but if her
husband be dead, she is at liberty to be married to whom she will; only in the
Lord.
7:40 그러나 내 뜻에는 그냥 지내는 것이 더욱 복이 있으리로다 나도 또한 하나님의
영을 받은 줄로 생각하노라
7:40 But it will be better for her to keep as she is, in my opinion: and it seems to
me that I have the Spirit of God.
7:40 But she is happier if she so abide, after my judgment: and I think also
that I have the Spirit (o. pneuma) of God.
8:1 우상의 제물에 대하여는 우리가 다 지식이 있는 줄을 아나 지식은 교만하게
하며 사랑은 덕을 세우나니
8:1 Now about things offered to images: we all seem to ourselves to have knowledge.
Knowledge gives pride, but love gives true strength.
8:1 Now as concerning things offered unto idols, we know that we all have
knowledge. Knowledge puffs up, but love (o. agape) edifies.
8:2 만일 누구든지 무엇을 아는 줄로 생각하면 아직도 마땅히 알 것을 알지 못하는
것이요
8:2 If anyone seems to himself to have knowledge, so far he has not the right sort of
knowledge about anything;
8:2 And if any man think that he knows any thing, he knows nothing yet as
he ought to know.
8:3 또 누구든지 하나님을 사랑하면 이 사람은 하나님의 아시는 바 되었느니라
8:3 But if anyone has love for God, God has knowledge of him.
8:3 But if any man love God, the same is known of him.
8:4 그러므로 우상의 제물 먹는 일에 대하여는 우리가 우상은 세상에 아무 것도
아니며 또한 하나님은 한 분 밖에 없는 줄 아노라
8:4 So, then, as to the question of taking food offered to images, we are certain that
an image is nothing in the world, and that there is no God but one.
8:4 As concerning therefore the eating of those things that are offered in
sacrifice unto idols, we know that an idol is nothing in the world, and that
there is no other God but one.
8:5 비록 하늘에나 땅에나 신이라 칭하는 자가 있어 많은 신과 많은 주가 있으나
8:5 For though there are those who have the name of gods, in heaven or on earth, as
there are a number of gods and a number of lords,
8:5 For though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or in earth,
(as there be gods many, and lords many,)
8:6 그러나 우리에게는 한 하나님 곧 아버지가 계시니 만물이 그에게서 났고 우리도
그를 위하며 또한 한 주 예수 그리스도께서 계시니 만물이 그로 말미암고 우리도
그로 말미암았느니라
8:6 There is for us only one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we are for
him; and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom are all things, and we have our being
through him.
8:6 But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and
we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.
8:7 그러나 이 지식은 사람마다 가지지 못하여 어떤 이들은 지금까지 우상에 대한
습관이 있어 우상의 제물로 알고 먹는 고로 그들의 양심이 악하여지고 더러워지느니라
8:7 Still, all men have not that knowledge: but some, being used till now to the image,
are conscious that they are taking food which has been offered to the image; and
because they are not strong in the faith, their minds are troubled.
8:7 Nevertheless there is not in every man that knowledge: for some with
conscience of the idol unto this hour eat it as a thing offered unto an idol;
and their conscience being weak is defiled.
8:8 식물은 우리를 하나님 앞에 세우지 못하나니 우리가 먹지 아니하여도 부족함이
없고 먹어도 풍족함이 없으리라
8:8 But God's approval of us is not based on the food we take: if we do not take it
we are no worse for it; and if we take it we are no better.
8:8 But food commends us not to God: for neither, if we eat, are we the better;
neither, if we eat not, are we the worse.
8:9 그런즉 너희 자유함이 약한 자들에게 거치는 것이 되지 않도록 조심하라
8:9 But take care that this power of yours does not give cause for trouble to the feeble.
8:9 But take heed lest by any means this liberty of your's become a stumbling
block to them that are weak.
8:10 지식 있는 네가 우상의 집에 앉아 먹는 것을 누구든지 보면 그 약한 자들의
양심이 담력을 얻어 어찌 우상의 제물을 먹게 되지 않겠느냐
8:10 For if a man sees you, who have knowledge, taking food as a guest in the house of
an image, will it not give him, if he is feeble, the idea that he may take food
offered to images?
8:10 For if any man see you which have knowledge sit to eat in the idol's
temple, shall not the conscience of him which is weak be emboldened to eat those
things which are offered to idols;
8:11 그러면 네 지식으로 그 약한 자가 멸망하나니 그는 그리스도께서 위하여
죽으신 형제라
8:11 And so, through your knowledge, you are the cause of destruction to your brother,
for whom Christ underwent death.
8:11 And through your knowledge shall the weak brother perish, for whom Christ
died?
8:12 이같이 너희가 형제에게 죄를 지어 그 약한 양심을 상하게 하는 것이 곧
그리스도에게 죄를 짓는 것이니라
8:12 And in this way, doing evil to the brothers, and causing trouble to those whose
faith is feeble, you are sinning against Christ.
8:12 But when all of you sin so against the brethren, and wound their weak
conscience, all of you sin against Christ.
8:13 그러므로 만일 식물이 내 형제로 실족케 하면 나는 영원히 고기를 먹지 아니하여
내 형제를 실족치 않게 하리라
8:13 For this reason, if food is a cause of trouble to my brother, I will give up taking
meat for ever, so that I may not be a cause of trouble to my brother.
8:13 Wherefore, if food make my brother to offend, I will eat no flesh while
the world stands, lest I make my brother to offend.
