1:1 Был человек в земле Уц, имя его Иов; и был человек этот непорочен, справедлив и богобоязнен и удалялся от зла.
1:1 There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was perfect and upright, and one that feared God, and eschewed evil.
1:2 И родились у него семь сыновей и три дочери.
1:2 And there were born unto him seven sons and three daughters.
1:3 Имения у него было: семь тысяч мелкого скота, три тысячи верблюдов, пятьсот пар волов и пятьсот ослиц и весьма много прислуги; и был человек этот знаменитее всех сынов Востока.
1:3 His substance also was seven thousand sheep, and three thousand camels, and five hundred yoke of oxen, and five hundred she asses, and a very great household; so that this man was the greatest of all the men of the east.
1:4 Сыновья его сходились, делая пиры каждый в своем доме в свой день, и посылали и приглашали трех сестер своих есть и пить с ними.
1:4 And his sons went and feasted in their houses, every one his day; and sent and called for their three sisters to eat and to drink with them.
1:5 Когда круг пиршественных дней совершался, Иов посылал за ними и освящал их и, вставая рано утром, возносил всесожжения по числу всех их. Ибо говорил Иов: может быть, сыновья моисогрешили и похулили Бога в сердце своем. Так делал Иов во все такие дни.
1:5 And it was so, when the days of their feasting were gone about, that Job sent and sanctified them, and rose up early in the morning, and offered burnt offerings according to the number of them all: for Job said, It may be that my sons have sinned, and cursed God in their hearts. Thus did Job continually.
1:6 И был день, когда пришли сыны Божии предстать пред Господа; между ними пришел и сатана.
1:6 Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them.
1:7 И сказал Господь сатане: откуда ты пришел? И отвечал сатана Господу и сказал: я ходил по земле и обошел ее.
1:7 And the LORD said unto Satan, Whence come you? Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, From going back and forth in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.
1:8 И сказал Господь сатане: обратил ли ты внимание твое на раба МоегоИова? ибо нет такого, как он, на земле: человек непорочный, справедливый, богобоязненный и удаляющийся от зла.
1:8 And the LORD said unto Satan, Have you considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that fears God, and turns away from evil?
1:9 И отвечал сатана Господу и сказал: разве даром богобоязнен Иов?
1:9 Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, Does Job fear God for nothing?
1:10 Не Ты ли кругом оградил его и дом его и все, что у него? Дело рук его Ты благословил, и стада его распространяются по земле;
1:10 Have not you made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he has on every side? you have blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land.
1:11 но простри руку Твою и коснись всего, что у него, – благословит лион Тебя?
1:11 But put forth yours hand now, and touch all that he has, and he will curse you to your face.
1:12 И сказал Господь сатане: вот, все, что у него, в руке твоей; только на него не простирай руки твоей. И отошел сатана от лица Господня.
1:12 And the LORD said unto Satan, Behold, all that he has is in your power; only upon himself put not forth yours hand. So Satan went forth from the presence of the LORD.
1:13 И был день, когда сыновья его и дочери его ели и вино пили в доме первородного брата своего.
1:13 And there was a day when his sons and his daughters were eating and drinking wine in their eldest brother's house:
1:14 И вот , приходит вестник к Иову и говорит:
1:14 And there came a messenger unto Job, and said, The oxen were plowing, and the asses feeding beside them:
1:15 волы орали, и ослицы паслись подле них, как напали Савеяне и взяли их, а отроков поразили острием меча; и спасся только я один, чтобы возвестить тебе.
1:15 And the Sabeans fell upon them, and took them away; yea, they have slain the servants with the edge of the sword; and I only am escaped alone to tell you.
1:16 Еще он говорил, как приходит другой и сказывает: огонь Божий упал с неба и опалил овец и отроков и пожрал их; и спасся только я один, чтобы возвестить тебе.
1:16 While he was yet speaking, there came also another, and said, The fire of God is fallen from heaven, and has burned up the sheep, and the servants, and consumed them; and I only am escaped alone to tell you.
1:17 Еще он говорил, как приходит другой и сказывает: Халдеи расположились тремя отрядами и бросились на верблюдов и взяли их, а отроков поразили острием меча; и спасся только я один, чтобы возвестить тебе.
1:17 While he was yet speaking, there came also another, and said, The Chaldeans made out three bands, and fell upon the camels, and have carried them away, yea, and slain the servants with the edge of the sword; and I only am escaped alone to tell you.
1:18 Еще этот говорил, приходит другой и сказывает: сыновья твои и дочери твои ели и вино пили в доме первородного брата своего;
1:18 While he was yet speaking, there came also another, and said, Your sons and your daughters were eating and drinking wine in their eldest brother's house:
1:19 и вот, большой ветер пришел от пустыни и охватил четыре угла дома, и дом упал на отроков, и они умерли; и спассятолько я один, чтобы возвестить тебе.
1:19 And, behold, there came a great wind from the wilderness, and stroke the four corners of the house, and it fell upon the young men, and they are dead; and I only am escaped alone to tell you.
1:20 Тогда Иов встал и разодрал верхнюю одежду свою,остриг голову свою и пал на землю и поклонился
1:20 Then Job arose, and rent his mantle, and shaved his head, and fell down upon the ground, and worshipped,
1:21 и сказал: наг я вышел из чрева матери моей, наг и возвращусь. Господь дал, Господь и взял; да будетимя Господне благословенно!
1:21 And said, Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return thither: the LORD gave, and the LORD has taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD.
1:22 Во всем этом не согрешил Иов и не произнес ничего неразумного о Боге.
1:22 In all this Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly.
2:1 Был день, когда пришли сыны Божии предстать пред Господа; между ними пришел и сатана предстать пред Господа.
2:1 Again there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them to present himself before the LORD.
2:2 И сказал Господь сатане: откуда ты пришел? И отвечал сатана Господу и сказал: я ходил по земле и обошел ее.
2:2 And the LORD said unto Satan, From whence come you? And Satan answered the LORD, and said, From going back and forth in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.
2:3 И сказал Господь сатане: обратил ли ты внимание твое на раба МоегоИова? ибо нет такого, как он, на земле: человек непорочный, справедливый, богобоязненный и удаляющийся от зла, и доселе тверд в своей непорочности; а ты возбуждал Меня против него, чтобы погубить его безвинно.
2:3 And the LORD said unto Satan, Have you considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that fears God, and turns away from evil? and still he holds fast his integrity, although you moved me against him, to destroy him without cause.
2:4 И отвечал сатана Господу и сказал: кожу за кожу, а за жизнь свою отдаст человек все, что есть у него;
2:4 And Satan answered the LORD, and said, Skin for skin, yea, all that a man has will he give for his life.
2:5 но простри руку Твою и коснись кости его и плоти его, – благословит ли он Тебя?
2:5 But put forth yours hand now, and touch his bone and his flesh, and he will curse you to your face.
2:6 И сказал Господь сатане: вот, он в руке твоей, только душу его сбереги.
2:6 And the LORD said unto Satan, Behold, he is in yours hand; but save his life.
2:7 И отошел сатана от лица Господня и поразил Иова проказою лютою от подошвы ноги его по самое темя его.
2:7 So went Satan forth from the presence of the LORD, and stroke Job with sore boils from the sole of his foot unto his crown.
2:8 И взял он себе черепицу, чтобы скоблить себя ею, и сел в пепел.
2:8 And he took him a potsherd to scrape himself likewise; and he sat down among the ashes.
2:9 И сказала ему жена его: ты все еще тверд в непорочности твоей! похули Бога и умри.
2:9 Then said his wife unto him, Do you still retain yours integrity? curse God, and die.
2:10 Но он сказал ей: ты говоришь как одна из безумных: неужели доброе мы будем принимать от Бога, а злого не будем принимать? Во всем этом не согрешил Иов устами своими.
2:10 But he said unto her, You speak as one of the foolish women speaks. What? shall we receive good at the hand of God, and shall we not receive evil? In all this did not Job sin with his lips.
2:11 И услышали трое друзей Иова о всех этих несчастьях, постигших его,и пошли каждый из своего места: Елифаз Феманитянин, Вилдад Савхеянин и Софар Наамитянин, и сошлись, чтобы идти вместе сетовать с ним и утешать его.
2:11 Now when Job's three friends heard of all this evil that was come upon him, they came every one from his own place; Eliphaz the Temanite, and Bildad the Shuhite, and Zophar the Naamathite: for they had made an appointment together to come to mourn with him and to comfort him.
2:12 И подняв глаза свои издали, они не узнали его; и возвысили голос свой и зарыдали; и разодрал каждый верхнюю одежду свою,и бросали пыль над головами своими к небу.
2:12 And when they lifted up their eyes far off, and knew him not, they lifted up their voice, and wept; and they rent every one his mantle, and sprinkled dust upon their heads toward heaven.
2:13 И сидели с ним на земле семь дней и семь ночей; и никто не говорил ему ни слова, ибо видели, что страдание его весьма велико.
2:13 So they sat down with him upon the ground seven days and seven nights, and none spoke a word unto him: for they saw that his grief was very great.
3:1 После того открыл Иов уста свои и проклял день свой.
3:1 After this opened Job his mouth, and cursed his day.
3:2 И начал Иов и сказал:
3:2 And Job spoke, and said,
3:3 погибни день, в который я родился, и ночь, в которую сказано: зачался человек!
3:3 Let the day perish wherein I was born, and the night in which it was said, There is a male child conceived.
3:4 День тот да будет тьмою; да не взыщет его Бог свыше, и да не воссияет над ним свет!
3:4 Let that day be darkness; let not God regard it from above, neither let the light shine upon it.
3:5 Да омрачит его тьма и тень смертная, да обложит еготуча, да страшатся его, как палящего зноя!
3:5 Let darkness and the shadow of death stain it; let a cloud dwell upon it; let the blackness of the day terrify it.
3:6 Ночь та, – да обладает ею мрак, да не сочтется она в днях года, дане войдет в число месяцев!
3:6 As for that night, let darkness seize upon it; let it not be joined unto the days of the year, let it not come into the number of the months.
3:7 О! ночь та – да будет она безлюдна; да не войдет в нее веселье!
3:7 Lo, let that night be solitary, let no joyful voice come therein.
3:8 Да проклянут ее проклинающие день, способные разбудить левиафана!
3:8 Let them curse it that curse the day, who are ready to raise up their mourning.
3:9 Да померкнут звезды рассвета ее: пусть ждет она света, и он не приходит, и да не увидит она ресниц денницы
3:9 Let the stars of the twilight thereof be dark; let it look for light, but have none; neither let it see the dawning of the day:
3:10 за то, что не затворила дверей чрева матери моей и не сокрыла горести от очей моих!
3:10 Because it shut not up the doors of my mother's womb, nor hid sorrow from mine eyes.
3:11 Для чего не умер я, выходя из утробы, и не скончался, когда вышел из чрева?
3:11 Why died I not from the womb? why did I not give up the spirit when I came out of the belly?
3:12 Зачем приняли меня колени? зачем было мне сосать сосцы?
3:12 Why did the knees prevent me? or why the breasts that I should suck?
3:13 Теперь бы лежал я и почивал; спал бы, и мне было бы покойно
3:13 For now should I have lain still and been quiet, I should have slept: then had I been at rest,
3:14 с царями и советниками земли, которые застраивали для себя пустыни,
3:14 With kings and counsellors of the earth, which build desolate places for themselves;
3:15 или с князьями, у которых было золото, и которые наполняли домы свои серебром;
3:15 Or with princes that had gold, who filled their houses with silver:
3:16 или, как выкидыш сокрытый, я не существовал бы, как младенцы, не увидевшие света.
3:16 Or as an hidden untimely birth I had not been; as infants which never saw light.
3:17 Там беззаконные перестают наводить страх, и там отдыхают истощившиеся в силах.
3:17 There the wicked cease from troubling; and there the weary be at rest.
3:18 Там узники вместе наслаждаются покоем и не слышат криков приставника.
3:18 There the prisoners rest together; they hear not the voice of the oppressor.
3:19 Малый и великий там равны, и раб свободен от господина своего.
3:19 The small and great are there; and the servant is free from his master.
3:20 На что дан страдальцу свет, и жизнь огорченным душею,
3:20 Wherefore is light given to him that is in misery, and life unto the bitter in soul;
3:21 которые ждут смерти, и нет ее, которые вырыли бы ее охотнее, нежели клад,
3:21 Which long for death, but it comes not; and dig for it more than for hid treasures;
3:22 обрадовались бы до восторга, восхитились бы, что нашли гроб?
3:22 Which rejoice exceedingly, and are glad, when they can find the grave?
3:23 На что дан свет человеку, которого путь закрыт, и которого Бог окружил мраком?
3:23 Why is light given to a man whose way is hid, and whom God has hedged in?
3:24 Вздохи мои предупреждают хлеб мой, и стоны мои льются, как вода,
3:24 For my sighing comes before I eat, and my roarings are poured out like the waters.
3:25 ибо ужасное, чего я ужасался, то и постигло меня; и чего я боялся, то и пришло ко мне.
3:25 For the thing which I greatly feared has come upon me, and that which I was afraid of has come unto me.
3:26 Нет мне мира, нет покоя, нет отрады: постигло несчастье.
3:26 I was not in safety, neither had I rest, neither was I quiet; yet trouble came.
4:1 И отвечал Елифаз Феманитянин и сказал:
4:1 Then Eliphaz the Temanite answered and said,
4:2 если попытаемся мы сказать к тебе слово, – не тяжело ли будет тебе? Впрочем кто может возбранить слову!
4:2 If we analyse to commune with you, will you be grieved? but who can withhold himself from speaking?
4:3 Вот, ты наставлял многих и опустившиеся руки поддерживал,
4:3 Behold, you have instructed many, and you have strengthened the weak hands.
4:4 падающего восставляли слова твои, и гнущиеся колени ты укреплял.
4:4 Your words have raised up him that was falling, and you have strengthened the feeble knees.
4:5 А теперь дошло до тебя, и ты изнемог; коснулось тебя, и ты упал духом.
4:5 But now it has come upon you, and you faint; it touches you, and you are troubled.
4:6 Богобоязненность твоя не должна ли быть твоею надеждою, и непорочность путей твоих – упованием твоим?
4:6 Is not this your fear, your confidence, your hope, and the uprightness of your ways?
4:7 Вспомни же, погибал ли кто невинный, и где праведные бывали искореняемы?
4:7 Remember, I pray you, who ever perished, being innocent? or where were the righteous cut off?
4:8 Как я видал, то оравшие нечестие и сеявшие зло пожинают его;
4:8 Even as I have seen, they that plow iniquity, and sow wickedness, reap the same.
4:9 от дуновения Божия погибают и от духа гнева Его исчезают.
4:9 By the blast of God they perish, and by the breath of his nostrils are they consumed.
4:10 Рев льва и голос рыкающего умолкает , и зубы скимнов сокрушаются;
4:10 The roaring of the lion, and the voice of the fierce lion, and the teeth of the young lions, are broken.
4:11 могучий лев погибает без добычи, и дети львицы рассеиваются.
4:11 The old lion perishes for lack of prey, and the stout lion's whelps are scattered abroad.
4:12 И вот, ко мне тайно принеслось слово, и ухо мое приняло нечто от него.
4:12 Now a thing was secretly brought to me, and mine ear received a little thereof.
4:13 Среди размышлений о ночных видениях, когда сон находит на людей,
4:13 In thoughts from the visions of the night, when deep sleep falls on men,
4:14 объял меня ужас и трепет и потряс все кости мои.
4:14 Fear came upon me, and trembling, which made all my bones to shake.
4:15 И дух прошел надо мною; дыбом стали волосы на мне.
4:15 Then a spirit passed before my face; the hair of my flesh stood up:
4:16 Он стал, – но я не распознал вида его, – только облик был пред глазами моими; тихое веяние, – и я слышу голос:
4:16 It stood still, but I could not discern the form thereof: an image was before mine eyes, there was silence, and I heard a voice, saying,
4:17 человек праведнее ли Бога? и муж чище ли Творцасвоего?
4:17 Shall mortal man be more just than God? shall a man be more pure than his maker?
4:18 Вот, Он и слугам Своим не доверяет и в Ангелах Своих усматривает недостатки:
4:18 Behold, he put no trust in his servants; and his angels he charged with folly:
4:19 тем более – в обитающих в храминах из брения, которых основание прах, которые истребляются скорее моли.
4:19 How much less in them that dwell in houses of clay, whose foundation is in the dust, which are crushed before the moth?
4:20 Между утром и вечером они распадаются; не увидишь, как они вовсе исчезнут.
4:20 They are destroyed from morning to evening: they perish for ever without any regarding it.
4:21 Не погибают ли с ними и достоинства их? Они умирают, не достигнув мудрости.
4:21 Does not their excellency which is in them go away? they die, even without wisdom.
5:1 Взывай, если есть отвечающий тебе. И к кому из святых обратишьсяты?
5:1 Call now, if there be any that will answer you; and to which of the saints will you turn?
5:2 Так, глупца убивает гневливость, и несмысленного губит раздражительность.
5:2 For wrath kills the foolish man, and envy slays the silly one.
5:3 Видел я, как глупец укореняется, и тотчас проклял дом его.
5:3 I have seen the foolish taking root: but suddenly I cursed his habitation.
5:4 Дети его далеки от счастья, их будут бить у ворот, и не будет заступника.
5:4 His children are far from safety, and they are crushed in the gate, neither is there any to deliver them.
5:5 Жатву его съест голодный и из-за терна возьмет ее, и жаждущие поглотят имущество его.
5:5 Whose harvest the hungry eats up, and takes it even out of the thorns, and the robber swallows up their substance.
5:6 Так, не из праха выходит горе, и не из земли вырастает беда;
5:6 Although affliction comes not out of the dust, neither does trouble spring out of the ground;
5:7 но человек рождается на страдание, как искры, чтобы устремляться вверх.
5:7 Yet man is born unto trouble, as the sparks fly upward.
5:8 Но я к Богу обратился бы, предал бы дело мое Богу,
5:8 I would seek unto God, and unto God would I commit my cause:
5:9 Который творит дела великие и неисследимые, чудные без числа,
5:9 Which does great things and unsearchable; marvellous things without number:
5:10 дает дождь на лице земли и посылает воды на лице полей;
5:10 Who gives rain upon the earth, and sends waters upon the fields:
5:11 униженных поставляет на высоту, и сетующие возносятся во спасение.
5:11 To set up on high those that be low; that those which mourn may be exalted to safety.
5:12 Он разрушает замыслы коварных, и руки их не довершают предприятия.
5:12 He dissapoints the devices of the crafty, so that their hands cannot perform their enterprise.
5:13 Он уловляет мудрецов их же лукавством, и совет хитрых становится тщетным:
5:13 He takes the wise in their own craftiness: and the counsel of the perverse is carried headlong.
5:14 днем они встречают тьму и в полдень ходят ощупью, как ночью.
5:14 They meet with darkness in the day time, and grope in the noonday as in the night.
5:15 Он спасает бедного от меча, от уст их и от руки сильного.
5:15 But he saves the poor from the sword, from their mouth, and from the hand of the mighty.
5:16 И есть несчастному надежда, и неправда затворяет уста свои.
5:16 So the poor has hope, and iniquity stops her mouth.
5:17 Блажен человек, которого вразумляет Бог, и потому наказания Вседержителева не отвергай,
5:17 Behold, happy is the man whom God corrects: therefore despise not you the chastening of the Almighty:
5:18 ибо Он причиняет раны и Сам обвязывает их; Он поражает, и Его же руки врачуют.
5:18 For he makes sore, and binds up: he wounds, and his hands make whole.
5:19 В шести бедах спасет тебя, и в седьмой не коснется тебя зло.
5:19 He shall deliver you in six troubles: yea, in seven there shall no evil touch you.
5:20 Во время голода избавит тебя от смерти, и на войне – от руки меча.
5:20 In famine he shall redeem you from death: and in war from the power of the sword.
5:21 От бича языка укроешь себя и не убоишься опустошения, когда оно придет.
5:21 You shall be hid from the scourge of the tongue: neither shall you be afraid of destruction when it comes.
5:22 Опустошению и голоду посмеешься и зверей земли не убоишься,
5:22 At destruction and famine you shall laugh: neither shall you be afraid of the beasts of the earth.
5:23 ибо с камнями полевыми у тебя союз, и звери полевые в мире с тобою.
5:23 For you shall be in league with the stones of the field: and the beasts of the field shall be at peace with you.
5:24 И узнаешь, что шатер твой в безопасности, и будешь смотреть за домом твоим, и не согрешишь.
5:24 And you shall know that your tabernacle shall be in peace; and you shall visit your habitation, and shall not sin.
5:25 И увидишь, что семя твое многочисленно, и отрасли твои, как трава на земле.
5:25 You shall know also that your seed shall be great, and yours offspring as the grass of the earth.
5:26 Войдешь во гроб в зрелости, как укладываются снопы пшеницы в свое время.
5:26 You shall come to your grave in a full age, like a shock of corn comes in in his season.
5:27 Вот, что мы дознали; так оно и есть: выслушай это и заметь для себя.
5:27 Lo this, we have searched it, so it is; hear it, and know you it for your good.
6:1 И отвечал Иов и сказал:
6:1 But Job answered and said,
6:2 о, если бы верно взвешены были вопли мои, и вместе с ними положили на весы страдание мое!
6:2 Oh that my grief were thoroughly weighed, and my calamity laid in the balances together!
6:3 Оно верно перетянуло бы песок морей! От того слова мои неистовы.
6:3 For now it would be heavier than the sand of the sea: therefore my words are swallowed up.
6:4 Ибо стрелы Вседержителя во мне; яд их пьет дух мой; ужасы Божииополчились против меня.
6:4 For the arrows of the Almighty are within me, the poison whereof drinks up my spirit: the terrors of God do set themselves in array against me.
6:5 Ревет ли дикий осел на траве? мычит ли бык у месива своего?
6:5 Does the wild ass bray when he has grass? or lows the ox over his fodder?
6:6 Едят ли безвкусное без соли, и есть ли вкус в яичном белке?
6:6 Can that which is unpleasing be eaten without salt? or is there any taste in the white of an egg?
6:7 До чего не хотела коснуться душа моя, то составляетотвратительную пищу мою.
6:7 The things that my soul refused to touch are as my sorrowful food.
6:8 О, когда бы сбылось желание мое и чаяние мое исполнил Бог!
6:8 Oh that I might have my request; and that God would grant me the thing that I long for!
6:9 О, если бы благоволил Бог сокрушить меня, простер руку Свою и сразил меня!
6:9 Even that it would please God to destroy me; that he would let loose his hand, and cut me off!
6:10 Это было бы еще отрадою мне, и я крепился бы в моей беспощадной болезни, ибо я не отвергся изречений Святаго.
6:10 Then should I yet have comfort; yea, I would harden myself in sorrow: let him not spare; for I have not concealed the words of the Holy One.
6:11 Что за сила у меня, чтобы надеяться мне? и какой конец, чтобы длить мне жизнь мою?
6:11 What is my strength, that I should hope? and what is mine end, that I should prolong my life?
6:12 Твердость ли камней твердость моя? и медь ли плоть моя?
6:12 Is my strength the strength of stones? or is my flesh of brass?
6:13 Есть ли во мне помощь для меня, и есть ли для меня какая опора?
6:13 Is not my help in me? and is wisdom driven quite from me?
6:14 К страждущему должно быть сожаление от друга его, если только он не оставил страха к Вседержителю.
6:14 To him that is afflicted pity should be showed from his friend; but he forsakes the fear of the Almighty.
6:15 Но братья мои неверны, как поток, как быстро текущие ручьи,
6:15 My brethren have dealt deceitfully as a brook, and as the stream of brooks they pass away;
6:16 которые черны от льда и в которых скрывается снег.
6:16 Which are blackish by reason of the ice, and wherein the snow is hid:
6:17 Когда становится тепло, они умаляются, а во времяжары исчезают с мест своих.
6:17 What time they wax warm, they vanish: when it is hot, they are consumed out of their place.
6:18 Уклоняют они направление путей своих, заходят в пустыню и теряются;
6:18 The paths of their way are turned aside; they go to nothing, and perish.
6:19 смотрят на них дороги Фемайские, надеются на них пути Савейские,
6:19 The troops of Tema looked, the companies of Sheba waited for them.
6:20 но остаются пристыженными в своей надежде; приходят туда и от стыда краснеют.
6:20 They were confounded because they had hoped; they came thither, and were ashamed.
6:21 Так и вы теперь ничто: увидели страшное и испугались.
6:21 For now all of you are nothing; all of you see my casting down, and are afraid.
6:22 Говорил ли я: дайте мне, или от достатка вашего заплатите за меня;
6:22 Did I say, Bring unto me? or, Give a reward for me of your substance?
6:23 и избавьте меня от руки врага, и от руки мучителей выкупитеменя?
6:23 Or, Deliver me from the enemy's hand? or, Redeem me from the hand of the mighty?
6:24 Научите меня, и я замолчу; укажите, в чем я погрешил.
6:24 Teach me, and I will hold my tongue: and cause me to understand wherein I have erred.
6:25 Как сильны слова правды! Но что доказывают обличения ваши?
6:25 How forcible are right words! but what does your arguing reprove?
6:26 Вы придумываете речи для обличения? На ветер пускаете слова ваши.
6:26 Do all of you imagine to reprove words, and the speeches of one that is desperate, which are as wind?
6:27 Вы нападаете на сироту и роете яму другу вашему.
6:27 Yea, all of you overwhelm the fatherless, and all of you dig a pit for your friend.
6:28 Но прошу вас, взгляните на меня; буду ли я говорить ложь пред лицем вашим?
6:28 Now therefore be content, look upon me; for it is evident unto you if I lie.
6:29 Пересмотрите, есть ли неправда? пересмотрите, – правда моя.
6:29 Return, I pray you, let it not be iniquity; yea, return again, my righteousness is in it.
6:30 Есть ли на языке моем неправда? Неужели гортань моя не может различить горечи?
6:30 Is there iniquity in my tongue? cannot my taste discern perverse things?
7:1 Не определено ли человеку время на земле, и дни его не то же ли, что дни наемника?
7:1 Is there not an appointed time to man upon earth? are not his days also like the days of a worker?
7:2 Как раб жаждет тени, и как наемник ждет окончания работы своей,
7:2 As a servant earnestly desires the shadow, and as a worker looks for the reward of his work:
7:3 так я получил в удел месяцы суетные, и ночи горестные отчислены мне.
7:3 So am I made to possess months of vanity, and wearisome nights are appointed to me.
7:4 Когда ложусь, то говорю: „когда-то встану?", а вечер длится, и яворочаюсь досыта до самого рассвета.
7:4 When I lie down, I say, When shall I arise, and the night be gone? and I am full of tossings back and forth unto the dawning of the day.
7:5 Тело мое одето червями и пыльными струпами; кожа моя лопается и гноится.
7:5 My flesh is clothed with worms and clods of dust; my skin is broken, and become loathsome.
7:6 Дни мои бегут скорее челнока и кончаются без надежды.
7:6 My days are swifter than a weaver's shuttle, and are spent without hope.
7:7 Вспомни, что жизнь моя дуновение, что око мое не возвратится видеть доброе.
7:7 O remember that my life is wind: mine eye shall no more see good.
7:8 Не увидит меня око видевшего меня; очи Твои на меня, – и нет меня.
7:8 The eye of him that has seen me shall see me no more: yours eyes are upon me, and I am not.
7:9 Редеет облако и уходит; так нисшедший в преисподнюю не выйдет,
7:9 As the cloud is consumed and vanishes away: so he that goes down to the grave shall come up no more.
7:10 не возвратится более в дом свой, и место его не будет уже знать его.
7:10 He shall return no more to his house, neither shall his place know him any more.
7:11 Не буду же я удерживать уст моих; буду говорить встеснении духа моего; буду жаловаться в горести душимоей.
7:11 Therefore I will not refrain my mouth; I will speak in the anguish of my spirit; I will complain in the bitterness of my soul.
7:12 Разве я море или морское чудовище, что Ты поставил надо мною стражу?
7:12 Am I a sea, or a whale, that you set a watch over me?
7:13 Когда подумаю: утешит меня постель моя, унесет горесть мою ложе мое,
7:13 When I say, My bed shall comfort me, my couch shall ease my complaints;
7:14 ты страшишь меня снами и видениями пугаешь меня;
7:14 Then you scare me with dreams, and terrify me through visions:
7:15 и душа моя желает лучше прекращения дыхания, лучше смерти, нежели сбережения костей моих.
7:15 So that my soul chooses strangling, and death rather than my life.
7:16 Опротивела мне жизнь. Не вечно жить мне. Отступи от меня, ибо дни мои суета.
7:16 I loathe it; I would not live always: let me alone; for my days are vanity.
7:17 Что такое человек, что Ты столько ценишь его и обращаешь на него внимание Твое,
7:17 What is man, that you should magnify him? and that you should set yours heart upon him?
7:18 посещаешь его каждое утро, каждое мгновение испытываешь его?
7:18 And that you should visit him every morning, and try him every moment?
7:19 Доколе же Ты не оставишь, доколе не отойдешь от меня, доколе не дашь мне проглотить слюну мою?
7:19 How long will you not depart from me, nor let me alone till I swallow down my spittle?
7:20 Если я согрешил, то что я сделаю Тебе, страж человеков! Зачем Ты поставил меня противником Себе, так что я стал самому себе в тягость?
7:20 I have sinned; what shall I do unto you, O you preserver of men? why have you set me as a mark against you, so that I am a burden to myself?
7:21 И зачем бы не простить мне греха и не снять с меня беззакония моего? ибо, вот, я лягу в прахе; завтра поищешь меня, и меня нет.
7:21 And why do you not pardon my transgression, and take away my iniquity? for now shall I sleep in the dust; and you shall seek me in the morning, but I shall not be.
8:1 И отвечал Вилдад Савхеянин и сказал:
8:1 Then answered Bildad the Shuhite, and said,
8:2 долго ли ты будешь говорить так? – слова уст твоих бурный ветер!
8:2 How long will you speak these things? and how long shall the words of your mouth be like a strong wind?
8:3 Неужели Бог извращает суд, и Вседержитель превращает правду?
8:3 Does God pervert judgment? or does the Almighty pervert justice?
8:4 Если сыновья твои согрешили пред Ним, то Он и предал их в руку беззакония их.
8:4 If your children have sinned against him, and he have cast them away for their transgression;
8:5 Если же ты взыщешь Бога и помолишься Вседержителю,
8:5 If you would seek unto God early, and make your supplication to the Almighty;
8:6 и если ты чист и прав, то Он ныне же встанет над тобою и умиротворит жилище правды твоей.
8:6 If you were pure and upright; surely now he would awake for you, and make the habitation of your righteousness prosperous.
8:7 И если вначале у тебя было мало, то впоследствии будет весьма много.
8:7 Though your beginning was small, yet your latter end should greatly increase.
8:8 Ибо спроси у прежних родов и вникни в наблюдения отцов их;
8:8 For enquire, I pray you, of the former age, and prepare yourself to the search of their fathers:
8:9 а мы – вчерашние и ничего не знаем, потому что наши дни на земле тень.
8:9 (For we are but of yesterday, and know nothing, because our days upon earth are a shadow:)
8:10 Вот они научат тебя, скажут тебе и от сердца своего произнесут слова:
8:10 Shall not they teach you, and tell you, and utter words out of their heart?
8:11 поднимается ли тростник без влаги? растет ли камыш без воды?
8:11 Can the rush grow up without mire? can the flag grow without water?
8:12 Еще он в свежести своей и не срезан, а прежде всякой травы засыхает.
8:12 Whilst it is yet in his greenness, and not cut down, it withers before any other herb.
8:13 Таковы пути всех забывающих Бога, и надежда лицемера погибнет;
8:13 So are the paths of all that forget God; and the hypocrite's hope shall perish:
8:14 упование его подсечено, и уверенность его – дом паука.
8:14 Whose hope shall be cut off, and whose trust shall be a spider's web.
8:15 Обопрется о дом свой и не устоит; ухватится за него и не удержится.
8:15 He shall lean upon his house, but it shall not stand: he shall hold it fast, but it shall not endure.
8:16 Зеленеет он пред солнцем, за сад простираются ветви его;
8:16 He is green before the sun, and his branch shoots forth in his garden.
8:17 в кучу камней вплетаются корни его, между камнями врезываются.
8:17 His roots are wrapped about the heap, and sees the place of stones.
8:18 Но когда вырвут его с места его, оно откажется от него: „я не видало тебя!"
8:18 If he destroy him from his place, then it shall deny him, saying, I have not seen you.
8:19 Вот радость пути его! а из земли вырастают другие.
8:19 Behold, this is the joy of his way, and out of the earth shall others grow.
8:20 Видишь, Бог не отвергает непорочного и не поддерживает руки злодеев.
8:20 Behold, God will not cast away a perfect man, neither will he help the evil doers:
8:21 Он еще наполнит смехом уста твои и губы твои радостным восклицанием.
8:21 Till he fill your mouth with laughing, and your lips with rejoicing.
8:22 Ненавидящие тебя облекутся в стыд, и шатра нечестивых не станет.
8:22 They that hate you shall be clothed with shame; and the dwelling place of the wicked shall come to nothing.
9:1 И отвечал Иов и сказал:
9:1 Then Job answered and said,
9:2 правда! знаю, что так; но как оправдается человек пред Богом?
9:2 I know it is so truthfully: but how should man be just with God?
9:3 Если захочет вступить в прение с Ним, то не ответит Ему ни на одно из тысячи.
9:3 If he will contend with him, he cannot answer him one of a thousand.
9:4 Премудр сердцем и могущ силою; кто восставал против Него и оставался в покое?
9:4 He is wise in heart, and mighty in strength: who has hardened himself against him, and has prospered?
9:5 Он передвигает горы, и не узнают их: Он превращает их в гневе Своем;
9:5 Which removes the mountains, and they know not: which overturns them in his anger.
9:6 сдвигает землю с места ее, и столбы ее дрожат;
9:6 Which shakes the earth out of her place, and the pillars thereof tremble.
9:7 скажет солнцу, – и не взойдет, и на звезды налагает печать.
9:7 Which commands the sun, and it rises not; and seals up the stars.
9:8 Он один распростирает небеса и ходит по высотам моря;
9:8 Which alone spreads out the heavens, and treads upon the waves of the sea.
9:9 сотворил Ас, Кесиль и Хима и тайники юга;
9:9 Which makes Arcturus, Orion, and Pleiades, and the chambers of the south.
9:10 делает великое, неисследимое и чудное без числа!
9:10 Which does great things past finding out; yea, and wonders without number.
9:11 Вот, Он пройдет предо мною, и не увижу Его; пронесется и не замечуЕго.
9:11 Lo, he goes by me, and I see him not: he passes on also, but I perceive him not.
9:12 Возьмет, и кто возбранит Ему? кто скажет Ему: что Ты делаешь?
9:12 Behold, he takes away, who can hinder him? who will say unto him, What do you?
9:13 Бог не отвратит гнева Своего; пред Ним падут поборники гордыни.
9:13 If God will not withdraw his anger, the proud helpers do stoop under him.
9:14 Тем более могу ли я отвечать Ему и приискивать себе слова пред Ним?
9:14 How much less shall I answer him, and choose out my words to reason with him?
9:15 Хотя бы я и прав был, но не буду отвечать, а буду умолять Судию моего.
9:15 Whom, though I were righteous, yet would I not answer, but I would make supplication to my judge.
9:16 Если бы я воззвал, и Он ответил мне, – я не поверил бы, что голос мой услышал Тот,
9:16 If I had called, and he had answered me; yet would I not believe that he had hearkened unto my voice.
9:17 Кто в вихре разит меня и умножает безвинно мои раны,
9:17 For he breaks me with a tempest, and multiplies my wounds without cause.
9:18 не дает мне перевести духа, но пресыщает меня горестями.
9:18 He will not suffer me to take my breath, but fills me with bitterness.
9:19 Если действовать силою, то Он могуществен; если судом, кто сведет меня с Ним?
9:19 If I speak of strength, lo, he is strong: and if of judgment, who shall set me a time to plead?
9:20 Если я буду оправдываться, то мои же уста обвинятменя; если я невинен, то Он признает меня виновным.
9:20 If I justify myself, mine own mouth shall condemn me: if I say, I am perfect, it shall also prove me perverse.
9:21 Невинен я; не хочу знать души моей, презираю жизнь мою.
9:21 Though I were perfect, yet would I not know my soul: I would despise my life.
9:22 Все одно; поэтому я сказал, что Он губит и непорочного и виновного.
9:22 This is one thing, therefore I said it, He destroys the perfect and the wicked.
9:23 Если этого поражает Он бичом вдруг, то пытке невинных посмевается.
9:23 If the scourge slay suddenly, he will laugh at the trial of the innocent.
9:24 Земля отдана в руки нечестивых; лица судей ее Он закрывает. Если не Он, то кто же?
9:24 The earth is given into the hand of the wicked: he covers the faces of the judges thereof; if not, where, and who is he?
9:25 Дни мои быстрее гонца, – бегут, не видят добра,
9:25 Now my days are swifter than a post: they flee away, they see no good.
9:26 несутся, как легкие ладьи, как орел стремится на добычу.
9:26 They are passed away as the swift ships: as the eagle that hastes to the prey.
9:27 Если сказать мне: забуду я жалобы мои, отложу мрачный вид свой иободрюсь;
9:27 If I say, I will forget my complaint, I will leave off my heaviness, and comfort myself:
9:28 то трепещу всех страданий моих, зная, что Ты не объявишь меня невинным.
9:28 I am afraid of all my sorrows, I know that you will not hold me innocent.
9:29 Если же я виновен, то для чего напрасно томлюсь?
9:29 If I be wicked, why then labour I in vain?
9:30 Хотя бы я омылся и снежною водою и совершенно очистил руки мои,
9:30 If I wash myself with snow water, and make my hands never so clean;
9:31 то и тогда Ты погрузишь меня в грязь, и возгнушаются мною одежды мои.
9:31 Yet shall you plunge me in the ditch, and mine own clothes shall detest me.
9:32 Ибо Он не человек, как я, чтоб я мог отвечать Ему и идти вместе с Ним на суд!
9:32 For he is not a man, as I am, that I should answer him, and we should come together in judgment.
9:33 Нет между нами посредника, который положил бы руку свою на обоих нас.
9:33 Neither is there any arbitrator between us, that might lay his hand upon us both.
9:34 Да отстранит Он от меня жезл Свой, и страх Его да не ужасает меня, –
9:34 Let him take his rod away from me, and let not his fear terrify me:
9:35 и тогда я буду говорить и не убоюсь Его, ибо я не таков сам в себе.
9:35 Then would I speak, and not fear him; but it is not so with me.
10:1 Опротивела душе моей жизнь моя; предамся печали моей; буду говорить в горести души моей.
10:1 My soul is weary of my life; I will leave my complaint upon myself; I will speak in the bitterness of my soul.
10:2 Скажу Богу: не обвиняй меня; объяви мне, за что Ты со мною борешься?
10:2 I will say unto God, Do not condemn me; show me wherefore you contend with me.
10:3 Хорошо ли для Тебя, что Ты угнетаешь, что презираешь дело рук Твоих,а на совет нечестивых посылаешь свет?
10:3 Is it good unto you that you should oppress, that you should despise the work of yours hands, and shine upon the counsel of the wicked?
10:4 Разве у Тебя плотские очи, и Ты смотришь, как смотрит человек?
10:4 Have you eyes of flesh? or see you as man sees?
10:5 Разве дни Твои, как дни человека, или лета Твои, как дни мужа,
10:5 Are your days as the days of man? are your years as man's days,
10:6 что Ты ищешь порока во мне и допытываешься греха во мне,
10:6 That you enquire after mine iniquity, and search after my sin?
10:7 хотя знаешь, что я не беззаконник, и что некому избавить меня от руки Твоей?
10:7 You know that I am not wicked; and there is none that can deliver out of yours hand.
10:8 Твои руки трудились надо мною и образовали всего меня кругом, – и Ты губишь меня?
10:8 Yours hands have made me and fashioned me together round about; yet you do destroy me.
10:9 Вспомни, что Ты, как глину, обделал меня, и в прах обращаешь меня?
10:9 Remember, I plead to you, that you have made me as the clay; and will you bring me into dust again?
10:10 Не Ты ли вылил меня, как молоко, и, как творог, сгустил меня,
10:10 Have you not poured me out as milk, and curdled me like cheese?
10:11 кожею и плотью одел меня, костями и жилами скрепил меня,
10:11 You have clothed me with skin and flesh, and have fenced me with bones and sinews.
10:12 жизнь и милость даровал мне, и попечение Твое хранило дух мой?
10:12 You have granted me life and favour, and your visitation has preserved my spirit.
10:13 Но и то скрывал Ты в сердце Своем, – знаю, что это было у Тебя, –
10:13 And these things have you hid in yours heart: I know that this is with you.
10:14 что если я согрешу, Ты заметишь и не оставишь греха моего без наказания.
10:14 If I sin, then you mark me, and you will not acquit me from mine iniquity.
10:15 Если я виновен, горе мне! если и прав, то не осмелюсь поднять головы моей. Я пресыщен унижением; взгляни на бедствие мое:
10:15 If I be wicked, woe unto me; and if I be righteous, yet will I not lift up my head. I am full of confusion; therefore see you mine affliction;
10:16 оно увеличивается. Ты гонишься за мною, как лев, и снова нападаешь на меня и чудным являешься во мне.
10:16 For it increases. You hunt me as a fierce lion: and again you show yourself marvellous upon me.
10:17 Выводишь новых свидетелей Твоих против меня; усиливаешь гнев Твой на меня; и беды, одни за другими, ополчаются против меня.
10:17 You renew your witnesses against me, and increase yours indignation upon me; changes and war are against me.
10:18 И зачем Ты вывел меня из чрева? пусть бы я умер, когда еще ничей глаз не видел меня;
10:18 Wherefore then have you brought me forth out of the womb? Oh that I had given up the spirit, and no eye had seen me!
10:19 пусть бы я, как небывший, из чрева перенесен был во гроб!
10:19 I should have been as though I had not been; I should have been carried from the womb to the grave.
10:20 Не малы ли дни мои? Оставь, отступи от меня,чтобы я немного ободрился,
10:20 Are not my days few? cease then, and let me alone, that I may take comfort a little,
10:21 прежде нежели отойду, – и уже не возвращусь, – в страну тьмы и сенисмертной,
10:21 Before I go whence I shall not return, even to the land of darkness and the shadow of death;
10:22 в страну мрака, каков есть мрак тени смертной, где нет устройства, где темно, как самая тьма.
10:22 A land of darkness, as darkness itself; and of the shadow of death, without any order, and where the light is as darkness.
11:1 И отвечал Софар Наамитянин и сказал:
11:1 Then answered Zophar the Naamathite, and said,
11:2 разве на множество слов нельзя дать ответа, и разве человек многоречивый прав?
11:2 Should not the multitude of words be answered? and should a man full of talk be justified?
11:3 Пустословие твое заставит ли молчать мужей, чтобы ты глумился, и некому было постыдить тебя?
11:3 Should your lies make men hold their peace? and when you mock, shall no man make you ashamed?
11:4 Ты сказал: суждение мое верно, и чист я в очах Твоих.
11:4 For you have said, My doctrine is pure, and I am clean in yours eyes.
11:5 Но если бы Бог возглаголал и отверз уста Свои ктебе
11:5 But oh that God would speak, and open his lips against you;
11:6 и открыл тебе тайны премудрости, что тебе вдвое больше следовало бы понести! Итак знай, что Бог для тебя некоторые из беззаконий твоих предал забвению.
11:6 And that he would show you the secrets of wisdom, that they are double to that which is! Know therefore that God exacts of you less than yours iniquity deserves.
11:7 Можешь ли ты исследованием найти Бога? Можешь ли совершенно постигнуть Вседержителя?
11:7 Can you by searching find out God? can you find out the Almighty unto perfection?
11:8 Он превыше небес, – что можешь сделать? глубже преисподней, – что можешь узнать?
11:8 It is as high as heaven; what can you do? deeper than hell; what can you know?
11:9 Длиннее земли мера Его и шире моря.
11:9 The measure thereof is longer than the earth, and broader than the sea.
11:10 Если Он пройдет и заключит кого в оковы и представит на суд, то кто отклонит Его?
11:10 If he cut off, and shut up, or gather together, then who can hinder him?
11:11 Ибо Он знает людей лживых и видит беззаконие, и оставит ли его без внимания?
11:11 For he knows vain men: he sees wickedness also; will he not then consider it?
11:12 Но пустой человек мудрствует, хотя человек рождается подобно дикому осленку.
11:12 For vain men would be wise, though man be born like a wild ass's colt.
11:13 Если ты управишь сердце твое и прострешь к Нему руки твои,
11:13 If you prepare yours heart, and stretch out yours hands toward him;
11:14 и если есть порок в руке твоей, а ты удалишь его и не дашь беззаконию обитать в шатрах твоих,
11:14 If iniquity be in yours hand, put it far away, and let not wickedness dwell in your tabernacles.
11:15 то поднимешь незапятнанное лице твое и будешь тверд и не будешь бояться.
11:15 For then shall you lift up your face without spot; yea, you shall be steadfast, and shall not fear:
11:16 Тогда забудешь горе: как о воде протекшей, будешь вспоминать онем.
11:16 Because you shall forget your misery, and remember it as waters that pass away:
11:17 И яснее полдня пойдет жизнь твоя; просветлеешь, как утро.
11:17 And yours age shall be clearer than the noonday: you shall shine forth, you shall be as the morning.
11:18 И будешь спокоен, ибо есть надежда; ты огражден, и можешь спать безопасно.
11:18 And you shall be secure, because there is hope; yea, you shall dig about you, and you shall take your rest in safety.
11:19 Будешь лежать, и не будет устрашающего, и многие будут заискивать у тебя.
11:19 Also you shall lie down, and none shall make you afraid; yea, many shall make suit unto you.
11:20 глаза беззаконных истают, и убежище пропадет у них, и надежда ихисчезнет.
11:20 But the eyes of the wicked shall fail, and they shall not escape, and their hope shall be as the giving up of the spirit.
12:1 И отвечал Иов и сказал:
12:1 And Job answered and said,
12:2 подлинно, только вы люди, и с вами умрет мудрость!
12:2 No doubt but all of you are the people, and wisdom shall die with you.
12:3 И у меня есть сердце, как у вас; не ниже я вас; и кто не знает того же?
12:3 But I have understanding as well as you; I am not inferior to you: yea, who knows not such things as these?
12:4 Посмешищем стал я для друга своего, я, который взывал к Богу, и которому Он отвечал,посмешищем – человек праведный, непорочный.
12:4 I am as one mocked of his neighbour, who calls upon God, and he answers him: the just upright man is laughed to scorn.
12:5 Так презрен по мыслям сидящего в покое факел, приготовленный для спотыкающихся ногами.
12:5 He that is ready to slip with his feet is as a lamp despised in the thought of him that is at ease.
12:6 Покойны шатры у грабителей и безопасны у раздражающих Бога, которые как бы Бога носят в руках своих.
12:6 The tabernacles of robbers prosper, and they that provoke God are secure; into whose hand God brings abundantly.
12:7 И подлинно: спроси у скота, и научит тебя, у птицы небесной, ивозвестит тебе;
12:7 But ask now the beasts, and they shall teach you; and the fowls of the air, and they shall tell you:
12:8 или побеседуй с землею, и наставит тебя, и скажут тебе рыбы морские.
12:8 Or speak to the earth, and it shall teach you: and the fishes of the sea shall declare unto you.
12:9 Кто во всем этом не узнает, что рука Господа сотворила сие?
12:9 Who knows not in all these that the hand of the LORD has wrought this?
12:10 В Его руке душа всего живущего и дух всякой человеческой плоти.
12:10 In whose hand is the soul of every living thing, and the breath of all mankind.
12:11 Не ухо ли разбирает слова, и не язык ли распознает вкус пищи?
12:11 Does not the ear try words? and the mouth taste his food?
12:12 В старцах – мудрость, и в долголетних – разум.
12:12 With the ancient is wisdom; and in length of days understanding.
12:13 У Него премудрость и сила; Его совет и разум.
12:13 With him is wisdom and strength, he has counsel and understanding.
12:14 Что Он разрушит, то не построится; кого Он заключит, тот не высвободится.
12:14 Behold, he breaks down, and it cannot be built again: he shuts up a man, and there can be no opening.
12:15 Остановит воды, и все высохнет; пустит их, и превратят землю.
12:15 Behold, he withholds the waters, and they dry up: also he sends them out, and they overturn the earth.
12:16 У Него могущество и премудрость, пред Ним заблуждающийся и вводящий в заблуждение.
12:16 With him is strength and wisdom: the deceived and the deceiver are his.
12:17 Он приводит советников в необдуманность и судей делает глупыми.
12:17 He leads counsellors away spoiled, and makes the judges fools.
12:18 Он лишает перевязей царей и поясом обвязывает чресла их;
12:18 He looses the bond of kings, and girds their loins with a girdle.
12:19 князей лишает достоинства и низвергает храбрых;
12:19 He leads princes away spoiled, and overthrows the mighty.
12:20 отнимает язык у велеречивых и старцев лишает смысла;
12:20 He removes away the speech of the trusty, and takes away the understanding of the aged.
12:21 покрывает стыдом знаменитых и силу могучих ослабляет;
12:21 He pours contempt upon princes, and weakens the strength of the mighty.
12:22 открывает глубокое из среды тьмы и выводит на свет тень смертную;
12:22 He discovers deep things out of darkness, and brings out to light the shadow of death.
12:23 умножает народы и истребляет их; рассевает народы и собирает их;
12:23 He increases the nations, and destroys them: he enlarges the nations, and straitens them again.
12:24 отнимает ум у глав народа земли и оставляет ихблуждать в пустыне, где нет пути:
12:24 He takes away the heart of the chief of the people of the earth, and causes them to wander in a wilderness where there is no way.
12:25 ощупью ходят они во тьме без света и шатаются, как пьяные.
12:25 They grope in the dark without light, and he makes them to stagger like a drunken man.
13:1 Вот, все это видело око мое, слышало ухо мое и заметило длясебя.
13:1 Lo, mine eye has seen all this, mine ear has heard and understood it.
13:2 Сколько знаете вы, знаю и я: не ниже я вас.
13:2 What all of you know, the same do I know also: I am not inferior unto you.
13:3 Но я к Вседержителю хотел бы говорить и желал бы состязаться с Богом.
13:3 Surely I would speak to the Almighty, and I desire to reason with God.
13:4 А вы сплетчики лжи; все вы бесполезные врачи.
13:4 But all of you are forgers of lies, all of you are all physicians of no value.
13:5 О, если бы вы только молчали! это было бы вменено вам в мудрость.
13:5 O that all of you would altogether hold your peace! and it should be your wisdom.
13:6 Выслушайте же рассуждения мои и вникните в возражение уст моих.
13:6 Hear now my reasoning, and hearken to the pleadings of my lips.
13:7 Надлежало ли вам ради Бога говорить неправду и для Него говорить ложь?
13:7 Will all of you speak wickedly for God? and talk deceitfully for him?
13:8 Надлежало ли вам быть лицеприятными к Нему и за Бога так препираться?
13:8 Will all of you accept his person? will all of you contend for God?
13:9 Хорошо ли будет, когда Он испытает вас? Обманете ли Его, как обманывают человека?
13:9 Is it good that he should search you out? or as one man mocks another, do all of you so mock him?
13:10 Строго накажет Он вас, хотя вы и скрытно лицемерите.
13:10 He will surely reprove you, if all of you do secretly accept persons.
13:11 Неужели величие Его не устрашает вас, и страх Его не нападает на вас?
13:11 Shall not his excellency make you afraid? and his dread fall upon you?
13:12 Напоминания ваши подобны пеплу; оплоты ваши – оплоты глиняные.
13:12 Your remembrances are like unto ashes, your bodies to bodies of clay.
13:13 Замолчите предо мною, и я буду говорить, что бы ни постигло меня.
13:13 Hold your peace, let me alone, that I may speak, and let come on me what will.
13:14 Для чего мне терзать тело мое зубами моими и душу мою полагать в руку мою?
13:14 Wherefore do I take my flesh in my teeth, and put my life in mine hand?
13:15 Вот, Он убивает меня, но я буду надеяться; я желалбы только отстоять пути мои пред лицем Его!
13:15 Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him: but I will maintain mine own ways before him.
13:16 И это уже в оправдание мне, потому что лицемер не пойдет пред лице Его!
13:16 He also shall be my salvation: for an hypocrite shall not come before him.
13:17 Выслушайте внимательно слово мое и объяснение мое ушами вашими.
13:17 Hear diligently my speech, and my declaration with your ears.
13:18 Вот, я завел судебное дело: знаю, что буду прав.
13:18 Behold now, I have ordered my cause; I know that I shall be justified.
13:19 Кто в состоянии оспорить меня? Ибо я скоро умолкну и испущу дух.
13:19 Who is he that will plead with me? for now, if I hold my tongue, I shall give up the spirit.
13:20 Двух только вещей не делай со мною, и тогда я не буду укрываться от лица Твоего:
13:20 Only do not two things unto me: then will I not hide myself from you.
13:21 удали от меня руку Твою, и ужас Твой да не потрясает меня.
13:21 Withdraw yours hand far from me: and let not your dread make me afraid.
13:22 Тогда зови, и я буду отвечать, или буду говорить я, а Ты отвечай мне.
13:22 Then call you, and I will answer: or let me speak, and answer you me.
13:23 Сколько у меня пороков и грехов? покажи мне беззаконие мое и грех мой.
13:23 How many are mine iniquities and sins? make me to know my transgression and my sin.
13:24 Для чего скрываешь лице Твое и считаешь меня врагом Тебе?
13:24 Wherefore hide you your face, and hold me for yours enemy?
13:25 Не сорванный ли листок Ты сокрушаешь и не сухую ли соломинку преследуешь?
13:25 Will you break a leaf driven back and forth? and will you pursue the dry stubble?
13:26 Ибо Ты пишешь на меня горькое и вменяешь мне грехи юности моей,
13:26 For you write bitter things against me, and make me to possess the iniquities of my youth.
13:27 и ставишь в колоду ноги мои и подстерегаешь все стези мои, – гонишься по следам ног моих.
13:27 You put my feet also in the stocks, and look narrowly unto all my paths; you set a print upon the heels of my feet.
13:28 А он, как гниль, распадается, как одежда, изъеденная молью.
13:28 And he, as a rotten thing, consumes, as a garment that is moth eaten.
14:1 Человек, рожденный женою, краткодневен и пресыщен печалями:
14:1 Man that is born of a woman is of few days and full of trouble.
14:2 как цветок, он выходит и опадает; убегает, как тень, и не останавливается.
14:2 He comes forth like a flower, and is cut down: he flees also as a shadow, and continues not.
14:3 И на него-то Ты отверзаешь очи Твои, и меня ведешь на суд с Тобою?
14:3 And does you open yours eyes upon such an one, and bring me into judgment with you?
14:4 Кто родится чистым от нечистого? Ни один.
14:4 Who can bring a clean thing out of an unclean? not one.
14:5 Если дни ему определены, и число месяцев его у Тебя, если Ты положил ему предел, которого он не перейдет,
14:5 Seeing his days are determined, the number of his months are with you, you have appointed his bounds that he cannot pass;
14:6 то уклонись от него: пусть он отдохнет, доколе не окончит, как наемник, дня своего.
14:6 Turn from him, that he may rest, till he shall accomplish, as a worker, his day.
14:7 Для дерева есть надежда, что оно, если и будет срублено, снова оживет, и отрасли от него выходить не перестанут:
14:7 For there is hope of a tree, if it be cut down, that it will sprout again, and that the tender branch thereof will not cease.
14:8 если и устарел в земле корень его, и пень его замер в пыли,
14:8 Though the root thereof wax old in the earth, and the stock thereof die in the ground;
14:9 но, лишь почуяло воду, оно дает отпрыски и пускает ветви, как бы вновь посаженное.
14:9 Yet through the scent of water it will bud, and bring forth boughs like a plant.
14:10 А человек умирает и распадается; отошел, и где он?
14:10 But man dies, and wastes away: yea, man gives up the spirit, and where is he?
14:11 Уходят воды из озера, и река иссякает и высыхает:
14:11 As the waters fail from the sea, and the flood decays and dries up:
14:12 так человек ляжет и не станет; до скончания неба он не пробудится и не воспрянет от сна своего.
14:12 So man lies down, and rises not: till the heavens be no more, they shall not awake, nor be raised out of their sleep.
14:13 О, если бы Ты в преисподней сокрыл меня и укрывал меня, пока пройдет гнев Твой, положил мне срок и потом вспомнил обо мне!
14:13 O that you would hide me in the grave, that you would keep me secret, until your wrath be past, that you would appoint me a set time, and remember me!
14:14 Когда умрет человек, то будет ли он опять жить? Вовсе дни определенного мне времени я ожидал бы, пока придет мне смена.
14:14 If a man die, shall he live again? all the days of my appointed time will I wait, till my change come.
14:15 Воззвал бы Ты, и я дал бы Тебе ответ, и Ты явил бы благоволение творению рук Твоих;
14:15 You shall call, and I will answer you: you will have a desire to the work of yours hands.
14:16 ибо тогда Ты исчислял бы шаги мои и не подстерегал бы греха моего;
14:16 For now you number my steps: do you not watch over my sin?
14:17 в свитке было бы запечатано беззаконие мое, и Ты закрыл бы вину мою.
14:17 My transgression is sealed up in a bag, and you sew up mine iniquity.
14:18 Но гора падая разрушается, и скала сходит сместа своего;
14:18 And surely the mountains falling comes to nothing, and the rock is removed out of his place.
14:19 вода стирает камни; разлив ее смывает земную пыль: так и надежду человека Ты уничтожаешь.
14:19 The waters wear the stones: you wash away the things which grow out of the dust of the earth; and you destroys the hope of man.
14:20 Теснишь его до конца, и он уходит; изменяешь ему лице и отсылаешь его.
14:20 You prevail for ever against him, and he passes: you change his countenance, and send him away.
14:21 В чести ли дети его – он не знает, унижены ли – он не замечает;
14:21 His sons come to honour, and he knows it not; and they are brought low, but he perceives it not of them.
14:22 но плоть его на нем болит, и душа его в нем страдает.
14:22 But his flesh upon him shall have pain, and his soul within him shall mourn.
15:1 И отвечал Елифаз Феманитянин и сказал:
15:1 Then answered Eliphaz the Temanite, and said,
15:2 станет ли мудрый отвечать знанием пустым и наполнять чрево своеветром палящим,
15:2 Should a wise man utter vain knowledge, and fill his belly with the east wind?
15:3 оправдываться словами бесполезными и речью, не имеющею никакой силы?
15:3 Should he reason with useless talk? or with speeches wherewith he can do no good?
15:4 Да ты отложил и страх и за малость считаешь речь к Богу.
15:4 Yea, you cast off fear, and restrain prayer before God.
15:5 Нечестие твое настроило так уста твои, и ты избрал язык лукавых.
15:5 For your mouth utters yours iniquity, and you choose the tongue of the crafty.
15:6 Тебя обвиняют уста твои, а не я, и твой язык говорит против тебя.
15:6 Yours own mouth condemns you, and not I: yea, yours own lips testify against you.
15:7 Разве ты первым человеком родился и прежде холмов создан?
15:7 Are you the first man that was born? or were you made before the hills?
15:8 Разве совет Божий ты слышал и привлек к себе премудрость?
15:8 Have you heard the secret of God? and do you restrain wisdom to yourself?
15:9 Что знаешь ты, чего бы не знали мы? что разумеешь ты, чего не было бы и у нас?
15:9 What know you, that we know not? what understand you, which is not in us?
15:10 И седовласый и старец есть между нами, днями превышающий отца твоего.
15:10 With us are both the grayheaded and very aged men, much elder than your father.
15:11 Разве малость для тебя утешения Божии? И это неизвестно тебе?
15:11 Are the consolations of God small with you? is there any secret thing with you?
15:12 К чему порывает тебя сердце твое, и к чему так гордо смотришь?
15:12 Why does yours heart carry you away? and what do your eyes overlook,
15:13 Что устремляешь против Бога дух твой и устами твоими произносишь такие речи?
15:13 That you turn your spirit against God, and let such words go out of your mouth?
15:14 Что такое человек, чтоб быть ему чистым, и чтобы рожденному женщиною быть праведным?
15:14 What is man, that he should be clean? and he which is born of a woman, that he should be righteous?
15:15 Вот, Он и святым Своим не доверяет, и небеса нечисты в очах Его:
15:15 Behold, he puts no trust in his saints; yea, the heavens are not clean in his sight.
15:16 тем больше нечист и растлен человек, пьющий беззаконие, как воду.
15:16 How much more abominable and filthy is man, which drinks iniquity like water?
15:17 Я буду говорить тебе, слушай меня; я расскажу тебе, что видел,
15:17 I will show you, hear me; and that which I have seen I will declare;
15:18 что слышали мудрые и не скрыли слышанного от отцов своих,
15:18 Which wise men have told from their fathers, and have not hid it:
15:19 которым одним отдана была земля, и среди которых чужой не ходил.
15:19 Unto whom alone the earth was given, and no stranger passed among them.
15:20 Нечестивый мучит себя во все дни свои, и число лет закрыто отпритеснителя;
15:20 The wicked man labors with pain all his days, and the number of years is hidden to the oppressor.
15:21 звук ужасов в ушах его; среди мира идет на него губитель.
15:21 A dreadful sound is in his ears: in prosperity the destroyer shall come upon him.
15:22 Он не надеется спастись от тьмы; видит пред собою меч.
15:22 He believes not that he shall return out of darkness, and he is waited for of the sword.
15:23 Он скитается за куском хлеба повсюду; знает, что уже готов, в руках у него день тьмы.
15:23 He wanders abroad for bread, saying, Where is it? he knows that the day of darkness is ready at his hand.
15:24 Устрашает его нужда и теснота; одолевает его, как царь, приготовившийся к битве,
15:24 Trouble and anguish shall make him afraid; they shall prevail against him, as a king ready to the battle.
15:25 за то, что он простирал против Бога руку свою и противился Вседержителю,
15:25 For he stretches out his hand against God, and strengthens himself against the Almighty.
15:26 устремлялся против Него с гордою выею, под толстыми щитами своими;
15:26 He runs upon him, even on his neck, upon the thick bosses of his bucklers:
15:27 потому что он покрыл лице свое жиром своим и обложил туком лядвеи свои.
15:27 Because he covers his face with his fatness, and makes fatness on his flanks.
15:28 И он селится в городах разоренных, в домах, в которых не живут,которые обречены на развалины.
15:28 And he dwells in desolate cities, and in houses which no man inhabits, which are ready to become heaps.
15:29 Не пребудет он богатым, и не уцелеет имущество его,и не распрострется по земле приобретение его.
15:29 He shall not be rich, neither shall his substance continue, neither shall he prolong the perfection thereof upon the earth.
15:30 Не уйдет от тьмы; отрасли его иссушит пламя и дуновением уст своих увлечет его.
15:30 He shall not depart out of darkness; the flame shall dry up his branches, and by the breath of his mouth shall he go away.
15:31 Пусть не доверяет суете заблудший, ибо суета будет и воздаянием ему.
15:31 Let not him that is deceived trust in vanity: for vanity shall be his recompence.
15:32 Не в свой день он скончается, и ветви его не будут зеленеть.
15:32 It shall be accomplished before his time, and his branch shall not be green.
15:33 Сбросит он, как виноградная лоза, недозрелую ягоду свою и, как маслина, стряхнет цвет свой.
15:33 He shall shake off his unripe grape as the vine, and shall cast off his flower as the olive.
15:34 Так опустеет дом нечестивого, и огонь пожрет шатры мздоимства.
15:34 For the congregation of hypocrites shall be desolate, and fire shall consume the tabernacles of bribery.
15:35 Он зачал зло и родил ложь, и утроба его приготовляет обман.
15:35 They conceive mischief, and bring forth vanity, and their belly prepares deceit.
16:1 И отвечал Иов и сказал:
16:1 Then Job answered and said,
16:2 слышал я много такого; жалкие утешители все вы!
16:2 I have heard many such things: miserable comforters are all of you all.
16:3 Будет ли конец ветреным словам? и что побудило тебя так отвечать?
16:3 Shall vain words have an end? or what emboldens you that you answer?
16:4 И я мог бы так же говорить, как вы, если бы душа ваша была на месте души моей; ополчался бы на вас словами и кивал бы на вас головою моею;
16:4 I also could speak as all of you do: if your soul were in my soul's position, I could heap up words against you, and shake mine head at you.
16:5 подкреплял бы вас языком моим и движением губ утешал бы.
16:5 But I would strengthen you with my mouth, and the moving of my lips should subside your grief.
16:6 Говорю ли я, не утоляется скорбь моя; перестаю ли, что отходит от меня?
16:6 Though I speak, my grief is not subsided: and though I forbear, what am I eased?
16:7 Но ныне Он изнурил меня. Ты разрушил всю семью мою.
16:7 But now he has made me weary: you have made desolate all my company.
16:8 Ты покрыл меня морщинами во свидетельство против меня; восстает на меня изможденность моя, в лицо укоряет меня.
16:8 And you have filled me with wrinkles, which is a witness against me: and my leanness rising up in me bears witness to my face.
16:9 Гнев Его терзает и враждует против меня, скрежещет на меня зубамисвоими; неприятель мой острит на меня глаза свои.
16:9 He tears me in his wrath, who hates me: he gnashes upon me with his teeth; mine enemy sharpens his eyes upon me.
16:10 Разинули на меня пасть свою; ругаясь бьют меня по щекам; все сговорились против меня.
16:10 They have gaped upon me with their mouth; they have smitten me upon the cheek reproachfully; they have gathered themselves together against me.
16:11 Предал меня Бог беззаконнику и в руки нечестивым бросил меня.
16:11 God has delivered me to the ungodly, and turned me over into the hands of the wicked.
16:12 Я был спокоен, но Он потряс меня; взял меня за шею и избил меня ипоставил меня целью для Себя.
16:12 I was at ease, but he has broken me asunder: he has also taken me by my neck, and shaken me to pieces, and set me up for his mark.
16:13 Окружили меня стрельцы Его; Он рассекает внутренности мои и не щадит, пролил на землю желчь мою,
16:13 His archers compass me round about, he cleaves my reins asunder, and does not spare; he pours out my gall upon the ground.
16:14 пробивает во мне пролом за проломом, бежит на меня, как ратоборец.
16:14 He breaks me with breach upon breach, he runs upon me like a giant.
16:15 Вретище сшил я на кожу мою и в прах положил голову мою.
16:15 I have sewed sackcloth upon my skin, and defiled my horn in the dust.
16:16 Лицо мое побагровело от плача, и на веждах моих тень смерти,
16:16 My face is foul with weeping, and on my eyelids is the shadow of death;
16:17 при всем том, что нет хищения в руках моих, и молитва моя чиста.
16:17 Not for any injustice in mine hands: also my prayer is pure.
16:18 Земля! не закрой моей крови, и да не будет места воплю моему.
16:18 O earth, cover not you my blood, and let my cry have no place.
16:19 И ныне вот на небесах Свидетель мой, и Заступник мой в вышних!
16:19 Also now, behold, my witness is in heaven, and my record is on high.
16:20 Многоречивые друзья мои! К Богу слезит око мое.
16:20 My friends scorn me: but mine eye pours out tears unto God.
16:21 О, если бы человек мог иметь состязание с Богом, как сын человеческий с ближним своим!
16:21 O that one might plead for a man with God, as a man pleads for his neighbour!
16:22 Ибо летам моим приходит конец, и я отхожу в путь невозвратный.
16:22 When a few years are come, then I shall go the way whence I shall not return.
17:1 Дыхание мое ослабело; дни мои угасают; гробы предо мною.
17:1 My breath is corrupt, my days are extinct, the graves are ready for me.
17:2 Если бы не насмешки их, то и среди споров их око мое пребывало бы спокойно.
17:2 Are there not mockers with me? and does not mine eye continue in their provocation?
17:3 Заступись, поручись Сам за меня пред Собою! иначе кто поручится за меня?
17:3 Lay down now, put me in a guarantor with you; who is he that will shake hands with me?
17:4 Ибо Ты закрыл сердце их от разумения, и потому не дашь восторжествовать им .
17:4 For you have hid their heart from understanding: therefore shall you not exalt them.
17:5 Кто обрекает друзей своих в добычу, у детей того глаза истают.
17:5 He that speaks flattery to his friends, even the eyes of his children shall fail.
17:6 Он поставил меня притчею для народа и посмешищем для него.
17:6 He has made me also a byword of the people; and in old times I was as a timbrel.
17:7 Помутилось от горести око мое, и все члены мои, как тень.
17:7 Mine eye also is dim by reason of sorrow, and all my members are as a shadow.
17:8 Изумятся о сем праведные, и невинный вознегодует на лицемера.
17:8 Upright men shall be astonished at this, and the innocent shall stir up himself against the hypocrite.
17:9 Но праведник будет крепко держаться пути своего, и чистый руками будет больше и больше утверждаться.
17:9 The righteous also shall hold on his way, and he that has clean hands shall be stronger and stronger.
17:10 Выслушайте, все вы, и подойдите; не найду я мудрого между вами.
17:10 But as for you all, do all of you return, and come now: for I cannot find one wise man among you.
17:11 Дни мои прошли; думы мои – достояние сердца моего – разбиты.
17:11 My days are past, my purposes are broken off, even the thoughts of my heart.
17:12 А они ночь хотят превратить в день, свет приблизить к лицу тьмы.
17:12 They change the night into day: the light is short because of darkness.
17:13 Если бы я и ожидать стал, то преисподняя – дом мой; во тьме постелю я постель мою;
17:13 If I wait, the grave is mine house: I have made my bed in the darkness.
17:14 гробу скажу: ты отец мой, червю: ты мать моя и сестра моя.
17:14 I have said to corruption, You are my father: to the worm, You are my mother, and my sister.
17:15 Где же после этого надежда моя? и ожидаемое мною кто увидит?
17:15 And where is now my hope? as for my hope, who shall see it?
17:16 В преисподнюю сойдет она и будет покоиться со мною в прахе.
17:16 They shall go down to the bars of the pit, when our rest together is in the dust.
18:1 И отвечал Вилдад Савхеянин и сказал:
18:1 Then answered Bildad the Shuhite, and said,
18:2 когда же положите вы конец таким речам? обдумайте, и потом будем говорить.
18:2 How long will it be before all of you make an end of words? mark, and afterwards we will speak.
18:3 Зачем считаться нам за животных и быть униженными в собственных глазах ваших?
18:3 Wherefore are we counted as beasts, and reputed vile in your sight?
18:4 О ты , раздирающий душу твою в гневе твоем! Неужели для тебя опустеть земле, искале сдвинуться с места своего?
18:4 He tears himself in his anger: shall the earth be forsaken for you? and shall the rock be removed out of his place?
18:5 Да, свет у беззаконного потухнет, и не останется искры от огняего.
18:5 Yea, the light of the wicked shall be put out, and the spark of his fire shall not shine.
18:6 Померкнет свет в шатре его, и светильник его угаснет над ним.
18:6 The light shall be dark in his tabernacle, and his candle shall be put out with him.
18:7 Сократятся шаги могущества его, и низложит его собственный замысл его,
18:7 The steps of his strength shall be straitened, and his own counsel shall cast him down.
18:8 ибо он попадет в сеть своими ногами и по тенетам ходить будет.
18:8 For he is cast into a net by his own feet, and he walks upon a snare.
18:9 Петля зацепит за ногу его, и грабитель уловит его.
18:9 The animal trap shall take him by the heel, and the robber shall prevail against him.
18:10 Скрытно разложены по земле силки для него и западнина дороге.
18:10 The snare is laid for him in the ground, and a trap for him in the way.
18:11 Со всех сторон будут страшить его ужасы и заставят его бросаться туда и сюда.
18:11 Terrors shall make him afraid on every side, and shall drive him to his feet.
18:12 Истощится от голода сила его, и гибель готова, сбоку у него.
18:12 His strength shall be famished, and destruction shall be ready at his side.
18:13 Съест члены тела его, съест члены его первенец смерти.
18:13 It shall devour the strength of his skin: even the firstborn of death shall devour his strength.
18:14 Изгнана будет из шатра его надежда его, и это низведет его к царю ужасов.
18:14 His confidence shall be rooted out of his tabernacle, and it shall bring him to the king of terrors.
18:15 Поселятся в шатре его, потому что он уже не его; жилище его посыпано будет серою.
18:15 It shall dwell in his tabernacle, because it is none of his: brimstone shall be scattered upon his habitation.
18:16 Снизу подсохнут корни его, и сверху увянут ветви его.
18:16 His roots shall be dried up beneath, and above shall his branch be cut off.
18:17 Память о нем исчезнет с земли, и имени его не будет на площади.
18:17 His remembrance shall perish from the earth, and he shall have no name in the street.
18:18 Изгонят его из света во тьму и сотрут его с лица земли.
18:18 He shall be driven from light into darkness, and chased out of the world.
18:19 Ни сына его, ни внука не будет в народе его, и никого не останется в жилищах его.
18:19 He shall neither have son nor nephew among his people, nor any remaining in his dwellings.
18:20 О дне его ужаснутся потомки, и современники будут объяты трепетом.
18:20 They that come after him shall be astonished at his day, as they that went before were affrighted.
18:21 Таковы жилища беззаконного, и таково место того, кто не знает Бога.
18:21 Surely such are the dwellings of the wicked, and this is the place of him that knows not God.
19:1 И отвечал Иов и сказал:
19:1 Then Job answered and said,
19:2 доколе будете мучить душу мою и терзать меня речами?
19:2 How long will all of you vex my soul, and break me in pieces with words?
19:3 Вот, уже раз десять вы срамили меня и не стыдитесь теснить меня.
19:3 These ten times have all of you reproached me: all of you are not ashamed that all of you make yourselves strange to me.
19:4 Если я и действительно погрешил, то погрешность моя при мне остается.
19:4 And be it indeed that I have erred, mine error remains with myself.
19:5 Если же вы хотите повеличаться надо мною и упрекнуть меня позором моим,
19:5 If indeed all of you will magnify yourselves against me, and plead against me my reproach:
19:6 то знайте, что Бог ниспроверг меня и обложил меня Своею сетью.
19:6 Know now that God has overthrown me, and has compassed me with his net.
19:7 Вот, я кричу: обида! и никто не слушает; вопию, и нет суда.
19:7 Behold, I cry out of wrong, but I am not heard: I cry aloud, but there is no judgment.
19:8 Он преградил мне дорогу, и не могу пройти, и на стези мои положилтьму.
19:8 He has fenced up my way that I cannot pass, and he has set darkness in my paths.
19:9 Совлек с меня славу мою и снял венец с головы моей.
19:9 He has stripped me of my glory, and taken the crown from my head.
19:10 Кругом разорил меня, и я отхожу; и, как дерево, Он исторг надежду мою.
19:10 He has destroyed me on every side, and I am gone: and mine hope has he removed like a tree.
19:11 Воспылал на меня гневом Своим и считает меня между врагами Своими.
19:11 He has also kindled his wrath against me, and he counts me unto him as one of his enemies.
19:12 Полки Его пришли вместе и направили путь свой ко мне и расположились вокруг шатра моего.
19:12 His troops come together, and raise up their way against me, and camp round about my tabernacle.
19:13 Братьев моих Он удалил от меня, и знающие меня чуждаются меня.
19:13 He has put my brethren far from me, and mine acquaintance are verily cut off from me.
19:14 Покинули меня близкие мои, и знакомые мои забыли меня.
19:14 My kinsfolk have failed, and my familiar friends have forgotten me.
19:15 Пришлые в доме моем и служанки мои чужим считают меня; посторонним стал я в глазах их.
19:15 They that dwell in mine house, and my maids, count me for a stranger: I am an foreigner in their sight.
19:16 Зову слугу моего, и он не откликается; устами моими я должен умолять его.
19:16 I called my servant, and he gave me no answer; I implored him with my mouth.
19:17 Дыхание мое опротивело жене моей, и я должен умолять ее ради детей чрева моего.
19:17 My breath is strange to my wife, though I implored for the children's sake of mine own body.
19:18 Даже малые дети презирают меня: поднимаюсь, и они издеваются надо мною.
19:18 Yea, young children despised me; I arose, and they spoke against me.
19:19 Гнушаются мною все наперсники мои, и те, которых я любил, обратились против меня.
19:19 All my inward friends abhorred me: and they whom I loved are turned against me.
19:20 Кости мои прилипли к коже моей и плоти моей, и я остался только с кожею около зубов моих.
19:20 My bone cleaves to my skin and to my flesh, and I am escaped with the skin of my teeth.
19:21 Помилуйте меня, помилуйте меня вы, друзья мои, ибо рука Божия коснулась меня.
19:21 Have pity upon me, have pity upon me, O all of you my friends; for the hand of God has touched me.
19:22 Зачем и вы преследуете меня, как Бог, и плотью моею не можете насытиться?
19:22 Why do all of you persecute me as God, and are not satisfied with my flesh?
19:23 О, если бы записаны были слова мои! Если бы начертаны были они в книге
19:23 Oh that my words were now written! oh that they were printed in a book!
19:24 резцом железным с оловом, – на вечное время на камне вырезаны были!
19:24 That they were graven with an iron pen and lead in the rock for ever!
19:25 А я знаю, Искупитель мой жив, и Он в последний день восставит изпраха распадающуюся кожу мою сию,
19:25 For I know that my redeemer lives, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth:
19:26 и я во плоти моей узрю Бога.
19:26 And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God:
19:27 Я узрю Его сам; мои глаза, не глаза другого, увидят Его. Истаевает сердце мое в груди моей!
19:27 Whom I shall see for myself, and mine eyes shall behold, and not another; though my reins be consumed within me.
19:28 Вам надлежало бы сказать: зачем мы преследуем его? Как будто корень зла найден во мне.
19:28 But all of you should say, Why persecute we him, seeing the root of the matter is found in me?
19:29 Убойтесь меча, ибо меч есть отмститель неправды, и знайте, чтоесть суд.
19:29 Be all of you afraid of the sword: for wrath brings the punishments of the sword, that all of you may know there is a judgment.
20:1 И отвечал Софар Наамитянин и сказал:
20:1 Then answered Zophar the Naamathite, and said,
20:2 размышления мои побуждают меня отвечать, и я поспешаю выразить их.
20:2 Therefore do my thoughts cause me to answer, and for this I make haste.
20:3 Упрек, позорный для меня, выслушал я, и дух разумения моего ответит за меня.
20:3 I have heard the check of my reproach, and the spirit of my understanding causes me to answer.
20:4 Разве не знаешь ты, что от века, – с того времени, как поставлен человек на земле, –
20:4 Know you not this of old, since man was placed upon earth,
20:5 веселье беззаконных кратковременно, и радость лицемера мгновенна?
20:5 That the triumphing of the wicked is short, and the joy of the hypocrite but for a moment?
20:6 Хотя бы возросло до небес величие его, и голова его касалась облаков, –
20:6 Though his excellency mount up to the heavens, and his head reach unto the clouds;
20:7 как помет его, на веки пропадает он; видевшие его скажут: где он?
20:7 Yet he shall perish for ever like his own dung: they which have seen him shall say, Where is he?
20:8 Как сон, улетит, и не найдут его; и, как ночное видение, исчезнет.
20:8 He shall fly away as a dream, and shall not be found: yea, he shall be chased away as a vision of the night.
20:9 Глаз, видевший его, больше не увидит его, и уже не усмотрит его место его.
20:9 The eye also which saw him shall see him no more; neither shall his place any more behold him.
20:10 Сыновья его будут заискивать у нищих, и руки еговозвратят похищенное им.
20:10 His children shall seek to please the poor, and his hands shall restore their goods.
20:11 Кости его наполнены грехами юности его, и с ним лягут они в прах.
20:11 His bones are full of the sin of his youth, which shall lie down with him in the dust.
20:12 Если сладко во рту его зло, и он таит его под языком своим,
20:12 Though wickedness be sweet in his mouth, though he hide it under his tongue;
20:13 бережет и не бросает его, а держит его в устах своих,
20:13 Though he spare it, and forsake it not; but keep it still within his mouth:
20:14 то эта пища его в утробе его превратится в желчь аспидов внутри его.
20:14 Yet his food in his bowels is turned, it is the gall of asps within him.
20:15 Имение, которое он глотал, изблюет: Бог исторгнет его из чрева его.
20:15 He has swallowed down riches, and he shall vomit them up again: God shall cast them out of his belly.
20:16 Змеиный яд он сосет; умертвит его язык ехидны.
20:16 He shall suck the poison of asps: the viper's tongue shall slay him.
20:17 Не видать ему ручьев, рек, текущих медом и молоком!
20:17 He shall not see the rivers, the floods, the brooks of honey and butter.
20:18 Нажитое трудом возвратит, не проглотит; по мере имения его будет и расплата его, а он не порадуется.
20:18 That which he laboured for shall he restore, and shall not swallow it down: according to his substance shall the restitution be, and he shall not rejoice therein.
20:19 Ибо он угнетал, отсылал бедных; захватывал домы, которых не строил;
20:19 Because he has oppressed and has forsaken the poor; because he has violently taken away an house which he built not;
20:20 не знал сытости во чреве своем и в жадности своей не щадил ничего.
20:20 Surely he shall not feel quietness in his belly, he shall not save of that which he desired.
20:21 Ничего не спаслось от обжорства его, зато не устоит счастье его.
20:21 There shall none of his food be left; therefore shall no man look for his goods.
20:22 В полноте изобилия будет тесно ему; всякая рука обиженного поднимется на него.
20:22 In the fullness of his sufficiency he shall be in straits: every hand of the wicked shall come upon him.
20:23 Когда будет чем наполнить утробу его, Он пошлет на него ярость гнева Своего и одождит на него болезни в плоти его.
20:23 When he is about to fill his belly, God shall cast the fury of his wrath upon him, and shall rain it upon him while he is eating.
20:24 Убежит ли он от оружия железного, – пронзит его лук медный;
20:24 He shall flee from the iron weapon, and the bow of steel shall strike him through.
20:25 станет вынимать стрелу , – и она выйдет из тела, выйдет, сверкая сквозь желчь его; ужасы смерти найдут на него!
20:25 It is drawn, and comes out of the body; yea, the glittering sword comes out of his gall: terrors are upon him.
20:26 Все мрачное сокрыто внутри его; будет пожирать его огонь, никем не раздуваемый; зло постигнет и оставшееся в шатре его.
20:26 All darkness shall be hid in his secret places: a fire not blown shall consume him; it shall go ill with him that is left in his tabernacle.
20:27 Небо откроет беззаконие его, и земля восстанет против него.
20:27 The heaven shall reveal his iniquity; and the earth shall rise up against him.
20:28 Исчезнет стяжание дома его; все расплывется в день гнева Его.
20:28 The increase of his house shall depart, and his goods shall flow away in the day of his wrath.
20:29 Вот удел человеку беззаконному от Бога и наследие, определенное ему Вседержителем!
20:29 This is the portion of a wicked man from God, and the heritage appointed unto him by God.
